Oh my gosh I have a lot to respond to with your tag response JDNSKNSKS I hope you don't mind me screenshotting and putting them here!

Hey so funny thing. Mu is also my favourite from AHiT! First thing I thought when I read "ngl Mustache Girl" was oh no. Have I reblogged enough Mu to get another Mu fan JDNDKSKS

Mu has so much hidden lore... But also she gets nothing... Poor girl... I'm glad you noticed her name hidden in the game, I assume as graffiti >:)

My second favourite character would be Conductor, but Mu is one of my favourite characters ever! There's a lot I love about her, mostly being how her heart is in the right place, she's just too young to understand how to properly deliver the Justice she wishes to bring upon the Mafia so badly. I would love to elaborate more, but I've no idea if you've seen her storybook yet and I don't want to spoil you since it's so darn hard to get! (And I don't think we're here for a Mu essay JHGJKHJKH)

I too got super attached to the "mean-but-understandable-kid & quiet kid" dynamic and boy oh boy do I wish they expanded more on it... Imagine if we got a whole chapter or so with Mu as a sidekick!

Did you know that in the scrapped versions of the game there were meant to be more Mu and Hat Kid interactions, including boss fights and races? There's so much cut content for this game it's crazy!

I actually rebought A Hat in Time on PC around... 5? Years after finishing the PS4 version just to see what would happen if we played with mods. @dremyink06 and I replayed through the whole game except Death Wish, with her being Hat Kid and me playing as Mu via the Playable Mustache Girl mod. Honestly, it reignited my love for the character! (Hence the sudden AHiT reblogging)

At some point I will put Ragnus in the game. Once I figure out how to. Maybe. (It's not going well.)

And yes this game totally has angst potential. Like most of the characters have angst somewhere, be it Snatcher's whole deal, Mu's never-ending fight for her home or... Whatever is going on with Conductor. Not gonna say too much in case you haven't gotten all the storybook pages! (Though Conductor's tends to be more fan speculation than anything.)

Speaking of storybooks. The Mu one destroys me every time I see it. Not saying much but during my replay of the game it managed to make me cry even though I'd seen it multiple times before...

It appears I have sidetracked. Back on angst, there's quite a lot of angst in the fandom despite this being a supposed cute platformer! But at the same time, it balances out with lots of very cute fan content, and Snatcher Dad is one of those such concepts. I can totally see why you'd enjoy it so much, hehe :) (Small nudge towards a certain mage and his adoptive kid)

I think I've read a few Hat Kid and Mu friendship fics? But I honestly wish there were more! They deserve to be friends!

This game is actually one of my all time favourites, possibly because I've replayed the whole thing a stupid amount of times while waiting for DLC to come out on PS4. I'm glad you tried it out and enjoyed it!!! :D
