About:  Basically canon, but Hugh is agender.  They use the they/them pronouns and they are still dating Paul.  They tend to switch between the male and female Starfleet uniforms, depending on their preference for that day and also has wigs and earrings they can accessorize with. For the most part, they go by Dr. Culber or Hugh.

Kat wrapped an arm, very carefully, around Gabriel’s waist.  “I’m not that kind of doctor which is exactly why I listen to these kind of doctors.”  Except on the occasion when it was her in the biobed.  But that wasn’t what was up for debate for now.  “You obviously aren’t well enough to be walking around- which isn’t surprising considering your internal organs are only recently back where they belong.”

Though damn if she didn’t know the terrible horrors of sitting in sickbay with nothing to do.  “You listen to the doctors and I’ll bring you something to do.  Once you start your PT, I’m sure your tune about walking around will change.”  That was certainly her least favorite part of the recovery process- well between that and having nothing to do.
