#JUMP DESKTOP MAC PRO#
#JUMP DESKTOP MAC PROFESSIONAL#
I’ve recently begun to use Jump Desktop as part of a team account.
#JUMP DESKTOP MAC PRO#
When you remotely launch Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, you are doing so on the unattended computer at the main facility. Instead of moving media files back and forth, the remote user is sending commands via the Jump Desktop application to the connected workstation and receiving back a shared screen and synced audio. A more sophisticated version of this is what’s being employed in many remote editing configurations, such as solutions offered by Teradici and HP RGS (remote graphics software).Īnother cost-effective answer is Jump Desktop. Method 5 – remote control – If you’ve ever had a support technician “dial” into your computer to troubleshoot an issue, then you’ve experienced remote control via TeamViewer. For instance, Lumaforge has leveraged the computing power of their internal Jellyfish server to remotely drive media management and transcoding tasks within the platform itself. But there are other benefits to this solution that don’t involve editing. This can be taxing on most common home internet services. To composite one 4K clip over another 4K clip, two streams of native 4K media have to pass in real-time to your remote computer over the internet. Any viewing or processing of media is done at the remote computer within a player or editing application. Performance is totally dependent on the internet speeds at both ends, but the concept is like having that storage volume mounted locally. Method 4 – direct storage server access – Some shared storage companies, like QNAP and OWC Lumaforge, offer direct remote access into your facility’s NAS or SAN – assuming that you’ve connected the server to the internet. There are certainly working cloud solutions from suppliers like Avid, but most support lower resolution media instead of some of the 4K and larger files that many editors work with today. Services like AWS also charge egress fees with each download, which makes real-time editing with media in the cloud, less cost-effective. This approach works for single shots that don’t require real-time playback from the cloud, but it’s less attractive for editing. True virtualization – where even your applications are running in the cloud – has been used in the VFX industry with compositing software, such as Nuke. The editor works directly with cloud-based native media hosted on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or one of the other large cloud providers. Method 3 – cloud editing – True editing in the cloud is on the wishlist for many large media enterprises. With standard internet speeds, this works well with proxy edit media. Subsequently, media is played from that local cache. When a file is played, it is streamed and cached within the local computer’s Drive volume. That media shows up in the editor’s local Drive volume as a virtual file, much like Dropbox’s Smart Sync feature. Hedge also offers Drive, which gives each editor access to media uploaded to Hedge’s servers. Media is usually local and only project files are located in the cloud. Adobe Teams and Hedge’s Postlab are two solutions where the project files are stored in the cloud and are updated using check-out/check-in procedures. Method 2 – cloud syncing – Cloud services can be used to host project files, as well as to transfer media among edit sites. If you had a separated team working on the project, each gets a clone of the same media and they share projects, bins, and/or XML files via email, file transfer services, Dropbox, etc. When done, the editor returns the drive with media, project files, and deliverables. Copy all of the media onto a drive and ship it to the editor. Method 1 – sneakernet – This has been a tried and true remote collaborative solution prior to and during lockdowns. There are approximately five different workflow scenarios. Among other things, it has accelerated various schemes for remote post-production collaboration.

Covid-19 and the year 2020 have turned the professional production and post world on their heads.

NAS Basics NAS (Network-attached Storage) is a data storage device where you can keep photos, videos, music and documents. A NAS can be used solely by yourself, or shared with large groups such as families/friends or between colleagues. NAS can also be accessed from mobile devices and computers. If you’ve ever wondered about the advantages of NAS compared to cloud services, a NAS provides greater convenience and fun features! Let’s see those specific features. 1 Data storage NAS safely stores large volumes of any type of data. The storage capacity depends on the capacity of the hard disk drives (HDD) or solid-state drives (SSD) you set up. A NAS can support potentially huge volumes of data with no monthly fees while maintaining the same convenient data storage as cloud services. 2 Backup Data Once set up, the data on your phone and computer will be automatically backed up to your NAS. If you require extra protection, this NAS-based backup data can be backed up to the cloud or another NAS. 3 Easy Sharing Your NAS is your private cloud. Not only can you take all its capacity, but you can also use it with others as a data server. Your family/friends or team members can share and sync files easily between various platforms – including Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android. If you want to share a collection of photos from a trip you took with friends, just give them a link to the folder and they'll be able to view the contents and upload their own pictures to compliment your collection. 4 Manage all your data in one place NAS space can be mounted on a computer. "Mounting" is a state where a device is recognized by a computer. When NAS is mounted on your computer, you can view the contents under “File Explorer” > “Network” in Windows, or “Finder” > “Places” on Mac. 80% of QNAP users take advantage of this feature to provide them with a highly convenient local environment to access their files. It doesn't mean you can't access to NAS from a remote location. Just open your browser and data is all within your reach. With 'File Station', you can also view and manage files from a variety of other sources including USB storage, mobile devices, and optical discs. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDRXGPzFz5x/?utm_medium=tumblr

QNAP TS-431X
QNAP continue their roll-out of new products aimed at the entry level SMB market with the release of the TS-431X. The QNAP TS-431X is a 4 disk NAS and supports up to 10GbE network speeds with the included 10GbE SFP+ port. Like its older sibling, the TS-531X, QNAP have continued to utilise processor technology from Annapurna Labs, an Amazon company. The TS-431X has the slightly lower core count AL-212 Dual core 1.7GHz rather than the AL-314 Quad-core 1.4GHz we saw on the TS-531X.
[table id=72 /]
[table id=74 /]
We confirm the processor information in the test unit via a quick SSH session to the NAS:
[~] # head -5 /proc/cpuinfo ; echo ; uname -a ; echo info processor : 0 model name : ARMv7 Processor rev 4 (v7l) Speed : 1.7GHz Features : swp half thumb fastmult vfp edsp neon vfpv3 tls vfpv4 idiva idivt CPU implementer : 0x41 Linux QNAPTEST 3.10.20-al-2.5.3_sa #2 SMP Fri Feb 17 05:13:21 CST 2017 armv7l unknown info [~] #
TS-431X Design & Build
QNAP are nothing but consistent with the design and build quality of the entry level NAS storage devices. I won’t repeat myself here but please feel free to read through our previous QNAP reviews for anything specific. In short, QNAP generally get top marks in this space.
In the meantime, enjoy our TS-431X picture gallery:
QNAP TS-431X
The TS-431X uses the same style of plastic drive caddy found in the QNAP entry level units
On the rear are the dual gigabit, 10GbE and USB 3.0 ports
A peek inside the HDD enclosure
Accessing the memory slots require the removal of the HDD enclosure
The 10GbE SFP+ LAN port is integrated with the system board
Software
Until recently, we’ve been running QTS 4.2 on our test machines and dabbled a little with the early 4.3 beta releases. With the TS-431X, we re-baselined the environment to the newer QTS 4.3.3. QTS 4.3.3 brings a breath of fresh air to the QNAP software environment. It’s a much-welcomed facelift with some great productivity improvements.
Some of the key features:
New look and feel control panel makes it much easier to find what you need quickly
Notifications and alerts have been overhauled and now support browser notifications, SMS and voice alerts for supported platforms
Improved certificate security, upload your own or self-generate
64-bit architecture
You can read more about QTS 4.3.3 here.
Performance
The QNAP TS-431X was configured as follows:
RAM – 2GB
HDD #1 – Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD
HDD #2 – Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD
Hdparm was used to see how the unit performed with buffered and cached disk read speeds under RAID1:
[~] # hdparm -Tt /dev/sda /dev/sda: Timing cached reads: 8248 MB in 2.00 seconds = 4129.87 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 1418 MB in 3.00 seconds = 472.36 MB/sec
The second test was a NAS to NAS file copy using a QNAP TS-563 and the SFP+ interface on both units. You can see the limitations of 7200RPM platter based HDDs when using the TS-563 as the source drive. That said, the 10GbE performance was still a little slower than what we’ve experienced with previous models.
Copying files from the QNAP TS-431X
Copying files to the QNAP TS-431X
The final test was with a HDD benchmark app on Mac OS X:
TS-431X DiskSpeedTest on Mac OS
No problems saturating the gigabit link on the Apple iMac.
Final Thoughts
The QNAP TS-431X is a great entry level NAS. Whilst it doesn’t have the performance the higher end models have, it is still quite suitable for most small businesses. The in-built 10GbE port and dual gigabit links allow businesses to scale up/down with their infrastructure quickly and easily.
If you run a small business and don’t need all the bells and whistles of a higher spec’d (and priced) NAS, the QNAP TS-431X is one to consider. It offers great value for money and is built on a solid software platform.
QNAP TS-431X 4-Bay NAS with 10GbE SFP+ Reviewed QNAP continue their roll-out of new products aimed at the entry level SMB market with the release of the TS-431X.

Easy to set up and manage, this two-bay NAS appearance accouterments encryption, media streaming, alien access, advantageous apps, and solid abstracts protection.

The Synology DiskStation DS218 is the best two-bay home NAS for best people. It about sells for beneath than $350 (diskless) as of this writing, its apprehend and abode speeds are the fastest of any NAS we tested, and it includes a avant-garde Intel Celeron processor, hardware-level encryption, and a adjustable and easy-to-understand interface with a advanced arrangement of third-party apps. The DS218 supports media playback through its own apps or Plex Media Server, supports RAID 1 drive mirroring, alerts you to drive failure, has three USB ports (including one on the front), and supports all the appearance Wirecutter readers accept asked about, such as the FTP protocol, VPN server capabilities, IP cameras, UPS compatibility, and SSDs.
The DS218 had the best achievement of the six NAS units we activated in 2017 and 2018, with unencrypted abode speeds amid 97 MB/s and 109 MB/s.
Most NAS accessories in this amount ambit use slower ARM-based processors from Realtek, Alpine, or Marvell, or older-generation Celeron processors. Some still abode with 1 GB of RAM or less. The DS218 has a avant-garde dual-core 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron processor and 2 GB of RAM, which you can aggrandize to 6 GB. Our runner-up, the QNAP TS-251B uses the aforementioned Celeron processor and 2 GB of RAM, but the DS218 ’s CPU is faster than the processor in about every added NAS currently accessible in this amount range, and you’ll apprehension that dispatch aberration aback artful lots of files or assuming assorted backups simultaneously. The Linux-based DiskStation Manager (DSM) software isn’t complicated; if you’ve acclimated a Windows or Mac computer, you’ll be able to acquisition your way about DSM and amount out how it works appealing quickly.
* indicates testing in 2018; added testing performed in 2017. College numbers announce bigger performance.
The DS218 had the best achievement of the six NAS units we activated in 2017 and 2018, with unencrypted abode speeds amid 97 MB/s and 109 MB/s. (You won’t see abundant college speeds from addition NAS unless you’re application 10 Gigabit Ethernet or articulation aggregation, because these speeds are appropriate at the absolute of Gigabit Ethernet aback you booty encoding into account.)
The QNAP TS-251B uses the aforementioned Celeron CPU, and its achievement was agnate to the DS218 during side-by-side tests, admitting the DS218 was aloof a bit faster than the TS-251B aback ambidextrous with lots of baby files. Both calmly exhausted the TS-231P2, the WD My Billow Home Duo, and the Apollo Billow 2 Duo in small-file abode speeds. The arena acreage was abundant added akin aback we activated application our binder absolute two ample files: The DS218 was in a asleep calefaction with the TS-251B in our large-file abode tests, and the differences amid best models we tested, abreast from the Apollo Billow 2, Duo were minimal.
Aside from the beefier processor in this model, the DS218 (as able-bodied as all added accepted Synology NAS devices) uses a altered absence book arrangement than others, alleged Btrfs (most added NAS models, including offerings from QNAP, use the ext4 book system). The book arrangement shouldn’t accept a huge aftereffect on the file-transfer speeds, but it does acquaint some appearance to Synology NAS units that added models don’t have, such as snapshots, which can assure folders from adventitious abatement by authoritative copies of aggregate folders periodically. Btrfs additionally appearance near-instant server-side copying, abstracts candor checks, and metadata mirroring, which allegedly helps with abstracts accretion in the case of hard-drive damage. Best NAS owners won’t apprehension the differences amid the two. If you do adopt ext4 for any reason, you can set up the DS218 to use that book arrangement instead of Btrfs aback you actualize a volume.

The DS218 doesn’t abutment aggregate encryption to deeply lock your absolute drive, clashing the QNAP TS-251B, but you can encrypt alone aggregate folders. Alike with the DS218 ’s accouterments encryption acceleration, you’ll still see a advise to read-and-write achievement with encryption angry on. In our tests, book alteration in encrypted folders was about 60 percent of the dispatch of alteration in non-encrypted folders. That accouterments encryption dispatch additionally didn’t admonition with SMB in-flight encryption at all, which slowed the file-transfer action to about 50 percent of the dispatch of unencrypted transfers. In-flight encryption protects your files during the alteration process, so it’s not article you charge to anguish about if you’re on your home arrangement the accomplished time.
The DS218 ’s interface, DiskStation Manager, is one of the best convenient operating systems on any NAS device. DSM has a toolbar on the top breadth you can admission the capital menu, notifications, and login options, chase for files, and analysis on arrangement health. Below that toolbar, you accept a desktop breadth you can admission Amalgamation Center (a abundance of sorts abounding with add-on software), the book browser, the ascendancy console (which includes all your settings), and a abutment breadth alms video tutorials, FAQs, and more. Synology has a audience adaptation of the operating arrangement accessible online; it’s account blockage out afore you accomplish your purchase.
Chrome Remote Desktop now available on the web – 10to10Google – remote desktop google site | remote desktop google site
Like best of the NAS operating systems we tested, the DSM interface includes a pop-out dashboard accoutrement that gives an overview of the NAS’s drive health, as able-bodied as its processor and anamnesis usage. You can adapt the dashboard to accommodate storage, affiliated users, and more. DSM additionally includes accessible appearance for novices. For example, if you bang on the Book Casework tab in the DSM ascendancy panel, it displays the key command you’ll charge to admission the book allotment on your PC (“DS218plus”) or Mac (“smb://DS218plus”). While these commands may be accustomed to adept systems administrators, new users or anyone who has abandoned the server name will acceptable the anchored tip.
DSM has an alternative billow account alleged Billow Station Server that allows you to admission your files remotely. If you don’t appetite to affix to any billow service, you can still admission your NAS accidentally through a basic clandestine arrangement (VPN) hosted on the NAS itself or Dynamic DNS with anchorage forwarding, but for best bodies Billow Station Server is abundant simpler. DSM additionally includes Billow Station ShareSync, which allows you to use your NAS to accompany files beyond devices, agnate to a account like Dropbox.
There’s additionally the confusingly called Billow Accompany package, which allows you to accompany or aback up specific folders or your absolute NAS to assorted billow platforms, such as Backblaze, Google Drive, Amazon, and Dropbox, which makes creating bombastic off-site backups actual easy. You can set those backups to appear on a agenda and optionally encrypt them afore you upload them to addition service.
DSM packs in abundant aegis measures. In the capital card you’ll acquisition a aegis adviser that alerts you to malware, abnormal arrangement configurations, age-old applications, anemic passwords, and any systemwide agreement issues, admitting you will accept to log in to the DSM interface consistently to see its advice. It supports HTTPS for alien access, TLS or SSL defended connections, and two-factor authentication.
For bigger or worse, instead of accepting one big app with bags of features, Synology takes a piecemeal admission to its adaptable apps. DS Audio, DS File, DS Photo, DS Cloud, and DS Video are for accessing media. DS Finder is for ecology the stats on your NAS, DS Get is for managing downloads, and DS Cam is for managing IP cameras. There’s additionally VPNPlus if you’re application the VPN server functions, DS Note if you use Synology’s addendum app, and MailPlus if you use your NAS as an email server. All of Synology’s apps are accessible for Android and iOS, and they’re on a par with those of Synology’s bigger competitor, QNAP. Both companies’ adaptable apps are best in chic amid NAS devices—no added NAS provider comes close.
Like best NAS boxes, the DS218 supports multimedia alive through Synology’s own apps, DLNA/UPnP, and iTunes. In our tests, the DS218 didn’t booty continued to browse a music and video library and accomplish the files accessible beyond a Wi-Fi arrangement on assorted computers, TVs, bold consoles, and phones.
The DS218 supports on-the-fly accouterments transcoding, allegedly all the way to 4K video. It does this application its own Video Station and DS Book apps. If you adopt to use Plex, you will not accept admission to the accouterments transcoding features, back Plex’s transcoding is CPU-bound and NAS accessories in this amount ambit aloof don’t accept the application to do that. With Synology’s apps, we were able to comedy several 1080p MKV files on assorted accessories over 802.11ac Wi-Fi after issue, but aback we approved the aforementioned with three altered 4K cine trailers, they were all unwatchable due to stuttering. We additionally had issues with any 4K video application the DTS audio codec, in which no complete would play. Some formats, such as M4V, wouldn’t comedy at all. Files that didn’t crave any transcoding, like MP4 files, played flawlessly on all devices. On-the-fly transcoding is abased on the book format, the assorted codecs, and the accessory you’re watching the transcoding book on, so your breadth will alter here.
Chrome remote desktop update error – Google Chrome Community – remote desktop google site | remote desktop google site
Still, alike admitting Synology advertises the DS218 as actuality able of all kinds of transcoding, you’ll appetite to use a added able computer than the DS218 (or any added NAS in this amount range) if you’re austere about on-the-fly media transcoding. We acclaim transcoding your video files advanced of time if you plan on application your NAS as a media server. You can do this with the Offline Transcoding affection in Video Station, admitting abominably you charge to manually accept alone videos to convert. If you’re attractive for an automatic option, QNAP’s software allows you to set up a specific binder that the NAS monitors; the NAS again transcodes any files you bead in.
Power-saving appearance won’t assignment if you accredit any media server functions, because the NAS needs to be accessible all the time.
In our tests, the DS218 ’s data-protection appearance formed as advertised. With the DS218 running, we pulled the drive out of the additional bay and the NAS beeped at us until we accustomed a drive-failure notification. We additionally accustomed an email notification at the abode we’d set up previously. Logging in to DSM, we begin addition notification as able-bodied as instructions for how to clean the drive arrangement in the Accumulator Manager already we replaced it.
The advanced of the DS218 appearance a disposable bowl that hides abroad the drive bays, as able-bodied as LED indicators for accepted status, arrangement connectivity, and the cachet of anniversary drive. You can acclimatize the LED accuracy or set it up on a agenda so the lights dim at night. The DS218 has three USB 3.0 ports. It additionally has an eSATA anchorage so you can aggrandize the NAS with alien drives application one of Synology’s accordant amplification units. Like every NAS we advised for this guide, the DS218 has two drive bays. Clashing added options, the drive accolade are tool-less, so you don’t charge a screwdriver to install a drive.
A USB Archetype button sits on the advanced of the DS218 , but afore you can use it you charge to acquaint the NAS what the button should do aback you columnist it. For example, you can set it up so that aback you affix a deride drive you’ve stored photos on, acute the button will archetype the absolute capacity of that drive over to a specific folder. Or you can set it to export, say, alone video files from a specific folder. It takes a little accomplishment to get the button alive how you want, but Synology’s adviser should admonition you configure the feature. While QNAP models generally accept a advanced USB port, best added NAS boxes do not, so it’s nice to see on this Synology unit.
When it came to ability consumption, the DS218 captivated amid 19 and 23 watts during book copy, hardly bigger than the QNAP TS-251A and TS-231P2. This Synology NAS acclimated about 6 watts while in power-saving mode, compared with the QNAP models’ 10 watts. Power-saving appearance won’t assignment if you accredit any media server functions, because the NAS needs to be accessible all the time; you accept to attenuate media servers and a scattering of added agnate services, such as billow admission and the mail server, if you appetite the power-saving approach to work. You can additionally about-face the DS218 on and off according to a schedule, and it supports Wake-on-LAN and assorted fan-speed modes, the closing of which can admonition abate the all-embracing babble of the DS218 . No NAS is absolutely quiet, but to our aerial the DS218 was beneath apparent than the QNAP TS-251A or TS-231P2.
You can add wireless capabilities to the DS218 with a Wi-Fi dongle. This assemblage additionally supports added than 5,000 altered IP cameras and has appropriate agreement settings for uninterruptible ability supplies. The DS218 comes with a two-year warranty, and Synology offers assorted abutment options, including tutorials, email support, and browser-based argument chat.

2 x bay-uri hot swappable pentru HDD-uri de 3.5-inch SATA 3, SSD-uri sau M.2 (printr-un adaptor);
1 port RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet;
Are și port PCIe, așa că se poate ajunge la 10 Gigabit Ethernet;
2 porturi USB 2.0, 2 porturi USB 3.2;
Port HDMI 1.4B, două audio-in pentru microfon, audio-out pentru căști sau boxe;
Procesor Intel Celeron dual core de 2.0 GHz pe 64 biți;
Se poate upgrada memoria RAM până la 8 GB;
Placă video Intel HD Graphics 500;
Nu vine cu HDD-uri incluse, evident;
Preț: 1.300 lei la PC Garage, 1800 lei la evoMAG
Design
#gallery-0-45 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-45 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-45 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-45 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-46 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-46 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-46 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-46 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-47 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-47 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-47 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-47 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-48 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-48 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 20%; } #gallery-0-48 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-48 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-49 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-49 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-49 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-49 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-50 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-50 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-50 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-50 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-51 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-51 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-51 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-51 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-52 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-52 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-52 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-52 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Conectarea unui Hard Disk extern
#gallery-0-53 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-53 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-53 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-53 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-54 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-54 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-54 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-54 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
#gallery-0-55 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-55 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-55 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-55 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Plusuri: Minusuri: Viteză foarte bună de transfer; Configurarea spațiului de stocare poate fi complicată Interfață intuitivă; Multe aplicații disponibile; Port HDMI;

With 'File Station', you can also view and manage files from a variety of other sources including USB storage, mobile devices, and optical discs. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDRXGPzFz5x/?igshid=3yhbzg7yivt7

How to Choose a Cloud Service for Your Mobile Photography
Now that most people — even those who are serious about photography — are using smartphones for many or most of their photos, it’s a good time to look past the quality of those images to a robust workflow that includes not just editing, but organizing and storing them reliably. Stories of laptops getting stolen or destroyed and taking all of a person’s photos with them are quickly being replaced by sad tales of lost or crushed phones. Organizing and storage solutions span the gamut from simple to complex, with a variety of pros and cons. We’ll take you through some of the options and the tradeoffs.
Google Photos: The Roach Motel of Cloud Photo Storage
Perhaps the most popular solution to both processing and storing smartphone images is Google Photos. It can automatically sync images your phone to Google’s servers, where you can get at them from anywhere. This useful capability has some issues, though. First, unless you pay for storage, or have a newish Pixel, your images aren’t stored in their full resolution. If you think of Google Photos as your lifetime archive of images, that is a high price to pay.
Second, it is hard to control where your images actually live. Google is forever offering to remove them from your phone (only downloading them as needed for viewing), leaving you completely dependent on the Googleplex. Third, it has become a roach motel. It is difficult to download images, or even to guarantee an album is available offline. And the really useful feature that used to allow you to view your images under Google Drive — which you could then sync to a local server or NAS using WebDAV — was unceremoniously dumped. I’ve been unable to find a replacement approach to keep an archive of my Google Photos images, and Google hasn’t been able to suggest any.
Google desperately wants to be your one-stop-shop for your mobile photography. It offers a lot for free, but with strings.
So, if convenience is your primary value, then Google Photos provides it. But it shouldn’t be the only place anyone serious about their photo library keeps it stored. So let’s look at some other options.
Adobe Creative Cloud Is Very Cool, If You Can Afford It
Adobe offers a storage solution that operates a lot like I wish Google Photos would. Once you install Lightroom Mobile on your phone(s), it can automatically sync those photos to your Adobe Cloud, and then, in turn, down to your desktop copy of Lightroom. And you can even do the reverse, so you can work on your images (possibly using smart previews) on your mobile device, even if they were originally on your desktop. By default, only photos you take with Lightroom’s camera or add to Lightroom Mobile are synced, but you can enable an option to add all your phone’s photos.
Adobe provides a powerful web interface for your mobile images and those you have chosen to sync from your desktop
Other than the overhead of setting it up, the biggest drawback to using Adobe for all your photos is cost. First, you need an Adobe Photography plan for about $10 per month. Then you’re on the hook for about $100 per terabyte per year in storage fees. If you’re just using this system for your mobile photos, the 20GB you get “for free” with your plan may be enough, at least for now. But if you want a unified system for all your photos, and their processed versions, you’re going to have to pay up.
Microsoft OneDrive Can Pick Up Some of the Slack
Until a colleague suggested it, I never thought about using OneDrive as a replacement for Google Photos as a place to store my images after Google canceled Drive integration. But since Office 365 users get a terabyte of storage with their plan, and OneDrive offers automatic photo uploading from your mobile device, it seemed like a good fit. I quickly enabled it and have been very pleased that images sync automatically to OneDrive.
From there, I can run Cloud Sync on a Synology NAS over WebDAV to bring a copy of all the images down. (I’m using a 5-bay Synology 1019+ for this article, but if you want to process images directly from your NAS, a 10Gbps model can provide better performance.) Having a local copy isn’t important to me just for archival purposes. It also makes it so I can catalog all my images and work on them in local photo editing tools, without having to look one place for my DSLR and Drone photos and a different place for my phone photos.
The only downside I’ve found with using OneDrive this way — aside from needing an Office subscription — is that the images aren’t as nicely organized as with Adobe or Google. They are just thrown into one (large and growing) folder. As long as you have a folder-agnostic cataloging system like Lightroom, that isn’t too painful, but if you’re looking to browse images by folder, it’s quickly hopeless. Whichever mobile app you use for syncing your images, remember to ensure it will find all your photos. If you only use your phone’s default camera app, it should work automatically. But if you also capture Raw files or use a third-party camera application, you might need to manually add the folder or folders where those images are stored.
Commercial Photo Sharing Services Like SmugMug Are Also an Option
Adobe and Microsoft aren’t alone in offering a way to automatically upload your mobile images, of course. It’s become a popular feature for other photo-sharing services, but not all of them offer good tools for downloading or syncing your library once it is on their service. One that I’ve used with success is SmugMug. The company offers a free app that allows its users ($5.99 per month and up) to automatically upload their mobile images to a gallery of their choice. You can download galleries or even sync them with Lightroom via SmugMug’s plugin.
Creating Your Own Photo Cloud Using a Synology NAS and Moments
There are a number of companies that offer you the capability to create your own photo storage cloud. For this article, I chose to use a Synology 1019+ 5-bay NAS as a reasonably priced hardware option with solid features and a 5th bay for additional expansion room. Plus, it comes with Synology’s Moments application, a modern solution for storing, organizing, and if you want, sharing your mobile photos.
You can use Moments for your existing photos as well — by moving them into the Moments folder tree — or sync the contents of your Moments folders over to the location on your NAS where the rest of your images are stored. For writing this article, I’ve chosen the latter approach for simplicity. Synology also offers a Photo Station package, which is a more traditional photo organizing system but doesn’t have the same support for mobile devices.
Moments has an Auto-enhance feature similar to Google’s Assistant that picks out what it considers some of your best images and proposes an automated color enhancement.
Organizing Your Images With Synology Moments
Like many photo organizers, Synology has jumped on the AI-powered scene, object, and people recognition bandwagon. They don’t have the R&D horsepower of a Google or Adobe to deliver the very best results, but Moments does a competent job of automatically tagging people, subjects, and places. In addition, you can enable a capability that scans your images, picks out what it thinks are your best, and suggests an automatic color enhancement.
Synology’s moments automatically tags people, subjects, and places in your images
I don’t find the results as impressive as Google Photos’ Assistant, but they can definitely bring some life to a scene without requiring any work. Moments can also find groups of similar images, so you can choose to delete some to save space. For me, disk drives are inexpensive enough that I’d rather add more storage than spend my time deleting similar images, but the option is there if you want it.
Tips for Setting Up Your Server
Whether you use a dedicated NAS like a Synology, QNAP, or Netgear, or add a drive array to a Windows or Mac server, there are some common considerations. First, I’ve grown to like the flexibility of 5-bay NAS units, compared with the more traditional 4-bay units. I can run a 3-drive RAID for my main data store, and still have two drives for a mirrored pair for storing our surveillance camera footage, for example. Second, make sure that your array can support large drives. This is especially true if you also want to use it to back up your desktop and laptop drives.
We tested the 1019+ with Seagate IronWolf and IronWolf Pro drives of various sizes, including 14TB and the new 16TB models. All worked well, providing the possibility for massive storage. For example, 3 16TB hard drives in a RAID-5 or Hybrid RAID configuration would provide almost 32TB of usable storage. Speaking of drive sizes, if you use one of the new RAID options, like Synology’s Hybrid RAID (SHR), then you can enlarge your array easily by adding more or larger drives. That’s in contrast to traditional RAID formats, which often require serious work to perform an expansion.
Picking a Strategy That’s Right for You
If you’ve gotten used to the simplicity that comes with using your smartphone and relying on a cloud connection to Google Photos to manage your images, then all of these options might seem like a lot of extra work. But for many of us, our photographs are a lifelong asset, and in some cases may be enjoyed by generations to come. So it is worth thinking about the future and what your photos and videos are worth to you before it’s too late and something happens to them.

Original Post from Security Affairs Author: Pierluigi Paganini
Researchers discovered many flaws in over a dozen small office/home office (SOHO) routers and network-attached storage (NAS) devices.
Security experts have discovered multiple vulnerabilities in over a dozen small office/home office (SOHO) routers and network-attached storage (NAS) devices. The research is part of a project dubbed SOHOpelessly Broken 2.0 conducted Independent Security Evaluators (ISE).
In this phase of the project that started in 2013 (SOHOpelessly Broken 1.0), the researchers assessed the security of 13 SOHO router and NAS devices and found a total of 125 new vulnerabilities.
“Today, we show that security controls put in place by device manufacturers are insufficient against attacks carried out by remote adversaries. This research project aimed to uncover and leverage new techniques to circumvent these new security controls in embedded devices.” reads the report published by the experts.
“Embedded devices are special-purpose computing systems. These types of systems include industrial controllers, small office/home office (SOHO) routers, network-attached storage devices (NAS), and IP cameras. Internet-connected embedded devices are often placed into a broader category referred to as IoT devices. “
The experts tested SOHO routers and NAS devices from the following vendors:
Buffalo
Synology
TerraMaster
Zyxel
Drobo
ASUS and its subsidiary Asustor
Seagate
QNAP
Lenovo
Netgear
Xiaomi
Zioncom (TOTOLINK)
The experts discovered at least one web application issue in each device they tested vulnerability that could be exploited by a remote attacker to get remote access to the device’s shell or gain access to the device’s administrative panel.
The experts obtained root shells on 12 of the devices that allowed them to take over the vulnerable systems, 6 flaws can be remotely exploited without authentication: the Asustor AS-602T, Buffalo TeraStation TS5600D1206, TerraMaster F2-420, Drobo 5N2, Netgear Nighthawk R9000, and TOTOLINK A3002RU.
The list of flaws discovered by the researchers includes authorization bypass, authentication bypass, buffer overflow, command injection, SQL injection (SQLi), cross-site scripting (XSS), cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and file upload path traversal vulnerabilities.
According to the experts, the level of security for IoT devices is slightly improved since SOHOpelessly Broken 1.0, only a limited number of devices were found implementing defense-in-depth mechanisms such as like address-space layout randomization (ASLR), functionalities that hinder reverse engineering, and integrity verification mechanisms for HTTP requests.
“Perhaps more interesting is the amount of approaches that have not changed since SOHOpelessly Broken 1.0. Features such as anti-CSRF tokens and browser security headers, which are commonplace in mainstream web applications, are still rare among our sample of devices.” concludes the report. “These defense-in-depth mechanisms can greatly enhance the security posture of web applications and the underlying systems they interact with. In many cases, our remote exploits wouldn’t have worked if customary web application security practices had been implemented.”
The researchers responsibly disclosed all of the vulnerabilities they discovered to affected vendors, most of them quickly responded and addressed the issues.
Unfortunately, some manufacturers, including Drobo, Buffalo Americas, and Zioncom Holdings, did not respond to report.
window._mNHandle = window._mNHandle || {}; window._mNHandle.queue = window._mNHandle.queue || []; medianet_versionId = "3121199";
