Codi's New Diary: Entry 001

OOOOOOH! Crissie’s done it now! I like to think of myself as a fairly patient and forgiving person. I’ve let a lot go over the past couple of years. The pestering, the teasing, the SMELL! Through all of it, I did my best not to let my temper get the better of me…but not this time.

Of all the stunts I assumed Crissie would have the gall to pull, I never imagined for a second that she’d do anything as disturbed as to publish pages from my diary! Oh yeah, that was a lovely little nugget of information I stumbled upon late last night when reviewing some of my old artwork. And she was such a whiner when I confronted her about it too. “Oh, I’m sooooorry! They were super blushy and they paired so well with your artwork! I’d never post them maliciously!” Oh, cry me a river, you big, dumb baby! She's so lucky I love her.

Sadly, there isn’t much I can do to salvage the situation at this point. The entries are already online so it’d be futile to get them taken down. That doesn’t mean my revenge won’t be swift, however. As we speak, Crissie is currently strung up in my slime dangling over her crib with two full bottles of expired CrissBaby Bowel Busting Formula bubbling away in her tummy. She may be a mush tush but everyone has their limits, and based on the way she keeps groaning, I’d say she’s well past hers.

Unsurprisingly, my old diary is too compromised to keep using, so this will be the first entry in my new one. Don’t worry, this entry’s posting is completely sanctioned by yours truly. Given how popular my diary seems to be, it probably won’t be the last time I use it for art inspiration, so be sure to keep an eye out.

In the meantime, I’ve got a bratty butt on my hands in desperate need of a good paddling; one swat for every like, favorite, and/or note my diaries received. And I’ve only got until midday tomorrow, or else Master will get on me for hampering Crissie’s work schedule.

BLOOOOOOOOOORRRRRT!!!

Sounds like she’s ready for me. Guess I’d better get busy!

when I started shipping it if I did: Ha, never. I don't ship Drarry at all.

my thoughts: Woof. Okay. There are many reasons I can't see this ship sailing. We'll start with Harry. I don't really care about his sexuality, or Draco's, for that matter, so I'll leave that aside for now. Harry needs to be with someone he respects and values, someone he's comfortable with, and someone he can be himself around. That leaves his closest friends. We know he sees Hermione as a sister and the two people he does show attraction to are Cho and Ginny, Quidditch players with pretty hair. Ginny makes the most sense for Harry, considering all he's gone through. Draco next. Draco, though he 'grows up' to not want to instill the same pureblood mania into his son, is a pureblood at heart. He still canonically marries a pureblood and the only romance we see is with Pansy, a fellow pureblood. Draco's not going to be slumming around with a half-blood or Muggleborn. In my mind, you'd have to do some gymnastics to get Draco willing to be with someone other than a pureblood. Now, that's not to say he can't be attracted to someone who isn't a pureblood. I could easily see Draco having a crush on any number of people, but at the end of the day he's a coward and makes the best decisions for himself and his family. That will not involve dating or being with anyone other than a pureblood, no matter what his 'growing up' ideals are. If we tried to put them together, it would have to be way later in life, Ginny would have to be out of the picture (and I don't like killing off or berating or bashing characters to make a ship sail), so it's just highly unlikely, if not impossible that this ship sail.

What makes me happy about them: I mean, it's classic enemies to lovers, but I'm not especially fond of that trope. It would probably explain why Jily makes me so apathetic.

What makes me sad about them: Nothing, lol. Harry and Draco are two different people.

things done in fanfic that annoys me: broadly speaking, if any characters have to be bashed for a ship to sail. I don't see or ship Drarry at all but if you've got to bash Ginny and the Weasleys to make it happen, I'm 100000% less interested.

things I look for in fanfic: not Drarry. If I'm reading a work with Harry and there's a romantic pairing, Hinny has to be endgame. I don't care as strongly about Romione, I can take or leave them together, but there are a few ships that I'm very set on as being endgame.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Draco & Astoria, Harry & Ginny. That's how it works in my mind.

My happily ever after for them: LOL okay so I do like the idea of them being in-laws, but I love the idea of Ron and Draco as inlaws more than Harry and Draco.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: They're spoons that stay far away from each other.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Glaring at each other and later, pretending they don't exist.

There is this fic called Dawn by Wynnebat that someone in reddit recommended to me a while back. I enjoyed it so much that I looked for more fics and pretty much just ended up wading into the treasure trove XD.

my thoughts:

I really enjoy them as an enemies to lover ship! Many of the fics there have amazing plot, and I simply can't resist a magnificent slowburn. It's dramione but gay, and I enjoy snarky, feminine Pansy with such a massive personality so much more than quiet and stoic Dramione!Draco. Pansy in fics is just so fun to read!

What makes me happy about them:

Enjoyable explorations of bigotry, forgiveness, and growth! I also enjoy the sheer gayness of the ship XD

What makes me sad about them:

Not much actually! This is a very fanon ship to me, so I just pick the things I like!

things done in fanfic that annoys me:

I really wish more people would lean into Pansy's privilege and bigotry! The treatment of those aspects of her character are markedly better than say most Dramione fics, but I can't help but wish for more.

I would really love to one day find a fic where Pansy does not have an abusive background. It always leaves me with a sense that Pansy was only bigoted because her parents "forced" her to be - and that she, unlike them, held an inherent goodness that only had to be given space to shine through. I think I would enjoy so much more a story that treated bigotry as something she greatly benefited from and learned from people she loves deeply. I would love a deconstruction of what that means as she grows out of these.

things I look for in fanfic:

Great plots, especially case fics! Great Hermione characterization, and well done bigotry unlearning arcs for Pansy! I love a great slowburn between them too where all these feelings are just slowly bubbling.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: 

For Pansy, a pairing with Draco sounds interesting. I love exploring the idea of a post-war relationship where the Pansy who tried to give Harry up to save herself meets with the Draco who spent so long housing Lord Voldemort. They could be a really interesting study along the theme of self-preservation.

For Hermione, I think it's quite obvious that I'm a multishipper XD. I will take any ship really for as long as it explores Hermione in an interesting manner. My personal favorite ships though are with Harry, Fleur, Viktor, and (much more recent) Ginny! I love exploring various aspects of Hermione's character with all these people!

My happily ever after for them:

I love the idea of Hermione Granger as Minister for Magic with Pansy as her first lady, and the two of them taking the world by the storm. I enjoy imagining the two of them making their rounds in Ministry galas and politicking together, and then coming home together to enjoy an intimate and relaxing night with each other.

“Triage”

Description: SCP-001 appears to be a woman of Chinese Malaysian descent. She does not require sleep or food but prefers to have so, seemingly out of habit. SCP - 001 behaves in a sarcastic, “helpfully unhelpful” behaviour.

SCP - 001 has “magic” , a reality bender, of sorts. Samples and papers given by SCP - 001 indicate her abilities to be within our understanding of reality, using the same rules anyone can supposedly do similar acts however according to the subject. “The barrier ain’t opened yet”.

This registration is written in mocking of the SCP foundation by SCP - 001, the following are various data points by record of SCP - 001.

My name is Nathan Andrews. Class 3 designated researcher of the SCP foundation. I have been assigned a desk by one "Black" a "operative" or "agent" of the "Wolves". This is due to my request for a way to communicate with the O1. For the most bizarre of reasons, the device provided does not accept the standards of the SCP foundation, rather a strange mix between personal and impersonal talk.

I've been granted a keyboard, mouse and monitor. Sitting in what appears to be Black's cubicle, various photos and memorabilia from his personal life. But beside the point.

Skimming the files, cloaked in shadows to the camera. 01 taps the recording. Three disks, each with a sticky note labelling them 1-5. The first one began to play as he skimmed reports.

"A decade ago."

Australian. Western side, mix of Chinese and Malay dialect. Female.

"One Nathan Andrews vanished from the SCP foundation campus. I am the result. Mr Michael."

He froze, the recording beginning to laugh.

"Made you pause huh? Pansy little fuckwit. This is a recording Mr Michaels. And your organisation is a speck. I am Triage. Rank. Corporal. Your organisation works to keep normalcy, your. Administrator. They're one of my agents. Or maybe that's a lie? Who knows. The following files and other two CDs are... a kind of message. We are the Wolves. And you sir. Are welcome to try to Secure. Contain. Protect. I'll see you in Hell."

The CD dropped out of the player, grasping his papers. As he picked the CD.

Pardoning that. I guess I'll try to explain what occured.

It'd happen again. At this point. Nobody was surprised. SCP - 682 had breached containment. Unfortunately a meteor falling towards the earth had begun it's descent faster and faster as it changed directory. Anaesthetics immediately deployed to all civilians in the near vicinity as Nathan Andrews ran from the enraged monster.

Frankly speaking, he was surprised he even got that far. A researcher in the organisation who worked his way upwards simply by acting as a safe guard for every upper position, the track runner sprinting for his life as the hateful lizard roared at the human.

BOOM

The earth exploded, throwing him over himself as something tackled the lizard to the ground. Roaring in outrage and anger, the flaming figure began to. Beat down against the lizard? Slamming fists harder and harder, her hands burning bright orange as she smashed the reptile's head in.

"- I SAID QUIT IT YOU LANKY FUCKER! I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK IF THATS YOUR PREY. STAY DOWN YOU CHEEKY LITTLE... Oh."

The Australian accented thing looked at the human, dagger in one hand, riding the dead corpse as the top of her ears perked. Black haired, Asian looking, the rumbling of a truck echoing towards him.

"... Hmm. Can't exactly leave this here- mortal did see me... OI. FUCK OFF YOU CUNT!"

Throwing the dagger into a tree, seemingly nothing as the anomaly ripped the dagger back to her hand.

Spitting onto the corpse, she walked towards the researcher.

CLICK.

Pistol aimed at her head, the humanoid looked down at the gun.

"... what's your plan here?"

BANG.

What birds were frozen in fear flapped off, mobile forces glancing up at the mass of birds. The researcher's borrowed pistol firing multiple more times into the air with a hint of red vanishing as it flew into the heavens.

BANG. BANG. BANG. BANG. BANG. BANG-

BFFT.

Holding the gun's muzzle in her hand, an eyebrow raised as she picked the bullets out her body.

"Ow."

Sarcastically, she flung the pistol onto the reptile. It snorting as she shouted back at it.

"NEMEN POSWI LACKA YOU HORINI. LOVNAJSUYA HEWMI THOSE FUCKS YOU NEMEN!"

Kicking the regenerating corpse, seeming to spur the lizard into a scowl as it started towards the trucks.

Dragging himself away, something ripping into his back, pain coursing through his body as the sound of ripping played behind him. Throwing him out into, something. The reality behind him left far behind.

Katie shuffled through the crowd promptly clutching a drink in each hand. Both of them were not intended for her, but after narrowly escaping the attack brought on by nosy colleagues she felt she deserved them as a reward. It was easy to be cordial, but once the conversation began infringing on the topic of who the enchanting man was accompanying her this evening then decorum took a sudden leave of absence. All but running from the conversation, she stopped at the nearest available bar-top and acquired two of the strongest libations available. Now all that was left was finding Fred again so they could take in the rest of the ridiculous sights of the evening together. Everything else just seemed black and white in comparison.

She was hardly paying attention to anything else besides the potential sighting of red hair—no wonder she collided straight on with someone, dropping both drinks to the ground in unexpected horror. Katie gasped loudly, watching in slow motion as both drinks hit the floor’s hard surface—glass moving across it like waves rolling on the sea. “ I am so sorry! ” Katie exclaimed, her feet barely steering clear of the mess now spewed between her and the unfortunate soul she had the pleasure of smacking into. The witch hadn’t even looked up yet, stunned when she eventually locked eyes with those of another familiar individual.

Katie was not sure whether to be relived or distraught at the sight of Pansy Parkinson. The hit witch didn’t have any negative thoughts toward the other woman, but she didn’t think the same could be said for her. It made no sense, but the fiery Gryffindor chalked it up to simple Slytherin schematics. Their common room was in the dungeon after all—no wonder she always associated them with being so cold. Perhaps that’s why they needed a friend like Katie, or so she thought any time she forced herself down their throats ( however resistant they were to her attempts ). Katie’s burning rays sometimes weakened in their presence but could never be diminished entirely. She was too stubborn for such a thing.

“ Pansy! ” She finally correlated after a few passing seconds as she staggered across the wet puddle now pooling between them. “ What a nice surprise! Is Theo somewhere close-by too? ” She asked excitedly as she moved on the balls of her feet, eagerly glancing around their nearby surroundings for him.

Maybe one more small detour couldn’t hurt after all.

The Ostara Festival March 20th, 2003

​Narcissa had decided to attend the Ostara festival for only one reason, and the purported charms of its host was certainly not it. In truth, events like these were normally very beneficial for her securing support for the many causes she sponsored. No matter how much funding she could personally give, getting the support of high ranking Ministry members was always unfortunately vital. They were the ones who could make the decisions and make change. 

Despite her lack of interest in the host of the festival, she had found herself getting caught by the sheer audacity of the commemorative candles that were being sold. Perhaps more confusing was the seeming popularity of them, as she watched person after person exchange money for what, in Narcissa’s opinion, was a piece of classless tat. Still, she found herself unable to move on. It was like sitting front row at a terrible play. A disaster, but one you couldn’t help but want to watch.

It was only when she saw a familiar head of dark hair that she was brought back to reality and she headed over to the young woman. “Pansy, dear, please tell me you’re not considering purchasing one of those monstrosities. If you want to waste your money on something, I’m sure you can find something less…” Words failed her for a moment before she landed on the right one. “Nauseating.”

Some things were far too embarrassing to think about, let alone bring up out loud. However, there was something to be said about Lockhart. Hermione could remember the girlish crush she had on the older man during her time at Hogwarts - her hiding beneath her bed sheets in the still of the night with a wand illuminating each word of his newest book. Regretfully, she had read all of his works. Each word taken to heart with far more meaning than what the man probably meant, yet it was exhilarating all the same to be able to be in such close proximity again.  Nevertheless, she pushed down her urge to just stare at each artifact of his and composed herself in a manner that was expected of someone working for the Ministry of Magic. Shoulders back and lips half quirked into a small smile at the sights of just colours and spectacles. Events like these were a nice break from the strains of her work, although her mind often wandered to the mountain of pages on her desk and in her bedroom that she had to perfect. Just an hour or two, and then back home, she would tell herself, though deep down she knew that she would leave once she had seen one of her favorite authors.  School was behind her, and Hermione had liked to think that she’d made something of herself, but certain people still put her off. The woman nearby was certainly one of them, but they had already made eye contact and Hermione wasn’t one to simply scamper off too easily. “Didn’t expect you to be here,” she stated, trading off a few coins for a small novel she’d been meaning to reach at a booth.
