Thorin is, for all intents and purposes, Fili and Kili’s dad. And while I looooove the two of them teasing Thorin for his crush on Bilbo as much as the next guy on god I would like to see more portrayals of them being mildly horrified at the thought of Thorin kissing someone, in the same way that lots of kids don’t like to picture their parents in romantic situations.

Favourite Dwalin headcanon: he's a tough bastard AND simultaneously the biggest softie.

After the barrel chase, in the span of an hour, he probably gave both Fíli and Kíli a smacker on the forehead and was like "Were the Elves mean to you, little nuggets 😭", and then went and planned to drown Bard in the frozen lake in cold blood.

Have you noticed that in almost all group shots during the movies you NEVER see Fili? For instance during Goblin Town? It pisses me off SO much like sure Kili's a cute puppy who you invented a love story for but FILI MATTERS AT LEAST AS MUCH!!!!

The scene when Thorin just came back to himself and does the forehead thingy with Kili I was just like YOU HAVE ANOTHER NEPHEW JUST AS LOYAL AND AMAZING WHERE'S YOUR LOVE FOR HIM FUCKER

And he even screamed for Kili in the stone giant scene even though it was Fili who was in danger like ?????
