i couldn't change the color for some reason so it's a bit hard to see but in the above screenshot i've drawn a black line near cxs' leg showing where the divide between the beds is

in this close up you can see a slight shadow where the further bed ends, and the lines on the closer bed (bedspread?) curve down until the closer bed ends and the further bed begins; plus there's a slight bump on the edge of the mattresses showing that the further bed is separate

and here if you squint there's a veeeryyy faint blue line (just below the far pillow) indicating the edge of the closer bed's covers

is it kind of weird that the beds are so close together that there's basically no gap? yeah, and i wonder if this is intentional, but unfortunately this is technically not a canon only-one-bed situation

Lucifer’s voice echoed in the room you were occupying. He saw you laying on your bed, you didn't move or show any signs of acknowledging his sudden appearance in your room.

Lucifer furrowed his eyebrows in concern, slowly approaching your figure by climbing onto the bed with you.

He looked over your shoulder, expecting to see you asleep only to be met with you staring back at him. He flinched, he didn't expect that you would be awake considering you didn't respond to his call earlier. He smiled, nervously.

You averted your gaze to stare at the wall. Lucifer was now very worried for you.

“Darling… you haven't been replying to my messages, what's wrong?" He asked, wrapping his arms around your figure.

You didn't respond for a couple of minutes before finally having the will to reply back, “I.. don't know." You whispered.

Lucifer shifted both of your positions, now you were laying on his chest while he stroked your back. “Did anything happen while I was absent?"

"No.. nothing happened, I just— I just didn't have the motivation to..” you let out a heavy sigh, your face evident with stress. “To do anything today." You finished.

Ah. Lucifer knows that feeling all too well. The feeling that everything you do is just pointless, why even try when you're just gonna feel disappointed in the end? Disappointed at the angels, sinners, yourself. Lucifer’s gaze fell on his hand, eyes lingering at the spot where his cherished golden ring used to be.

Abandoned by his beloved for 7? 10? He doesn't know nor does he want to know how long his now ex wife left him and his daughter. He let out a loud sigh.

You glanced up at him, concerned when you saw his lips quivered. You snuggled into his chest, in an attempt to comfort him which seemed to work since his attention was all on you now.

He chuckled and gave your forehead a kiss, “do you wanna talk about it?"

You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, “talk about what?"

“uh, on why you are feeling this way..?” He said, uncertain of himself. "I would've personally appreciated it if someone were to lend their time and listen to me when I needed it the most..” he mumbled, loud enough for you to hear.

You looked up at him, "Must’ve been hard for you.”

He let out a low, tired chuckle. "yeah.. wait, anyways, enough about me! I want to know what you're going through. Love.” He smiled down at you.

You hesitated before sighing for the nth time today. "I just, I don't know.. I can't seem to have the will or motivation to get up and do the tasks I need to do today.” You closed your eyes, stress beginning to bubble up inside you.

"I can't seem to focus on a particular task without immediately getting distracted by something else, gosh. I can't even do the dishes without looking at my phone every 10 damn seconds.”

Lucifer stroked your hair while listening to you, humming every once in a while.

You sighed, leaning to his touch before continuing, “I have a list of things I have to finish today, and I'm just wasting my time here rotting away in my bed..” you trailed off, burying your face in his chest while clenching your fists. “I don't know what's wrong with me..” .

You felt a pair of lips pressed against the crown of your head, looking up to see Lucifer staring down at you, love and adoration adorned his face. you would have pampered his face with kisses If only you weren't at the verge of breaking down right now.

“There's nothing wrong in needing a day off for yourself.”

"But my tasks—”

"It can wait, your mental health is what matters right now than some chore that needs to be finished today.” He cut you off. Cupping your face in his hands. Smirking down at you “wanna cuddle for the whole day?"

You smiled at his idea, snuggling into his chest once again “tempting, but I haven't eaten today."

“WHAT?!" Lucifer exclaimed, “you- it's almost evening, what-" he fumbled over his words.

“Let me cook something up for you real quick!" He said, slipping out of your embrace and running out of your room to prepare you a meal.

A giggle escaped your lips as you watched Lucifer stumble out of the room, god, You love him so much.
