A lot of baby/pregnancy fic tends to focus on the end of pregnancy/the beginning of the baby’s life. But I wanted to do a little character study into Levi, so here he is over the course of 10 hours after learning Hange is preggo~  (mildly nsfw)
Ao3
10 Hours
Hour 0
“So...” She faces away from him. Her single eye locked on the sky beyond her window. Hange Zoe, fourteenth Commander of the Survey Corps, will not turn to face him. She is sat at her desk, hands folded on its top. Levi cannot see her expression, but he expects that it is as grim as her tone.
He braces himself for bad news.
“I’m pregnant.”
The birds beyond the window stop singing. The clouds cease their trek across the cerulean sky. Levi’s breath is stuck in his chest, a painful lump between his lungs.
“Come again?”
This time she does look at him, pinning him to the floor with an emotionless glance over her shoulder.
“Pregnant. Expecting. Vertically impaired bun in the proverbial oven.”
The short joke is lost on him. He exhales sharply, like someone punched him in the gut, “Oh.”
Hange sighs and resumes her staring out the window, “Just think on it. You don’t need to say anything right now.”
Levi swallows thickly and gladly takes the excuse to exit the room. His head is spinning, heart thundering in his chest. Pregnant. It doesn’t feel real yet.
He retreats to the relative safety of his quarters.
Hour 1
Levi punches a hole in his wall with a snarl. Untoward anger radiating through his limbs.
Sheetrock and plaster rain down, dirtying his pristine floor, further incensing him. He kicks a second hole in the wall, shouting with the impact of his booted heel. More debris falls.
He paces back and forth, occasionally tugging a hand through his hair. He’s sweating, he feels filthy.
But he knows that Hange isn’t lying. This is not the sort of sick joke she would pull. But they had been so careful, hadn’t they?
He replays the penultimate moments of their last few encounters over in his head, and quickly realizes that they haven’t been as careful as he’d thought. There is nothing quite like losing himself in the depths of Hange... Commander Hange.
Shit. He curses himself and perches on the foot of his bed, resting his head in his hands.
What the fuck is he supposed to do now?
Hour 2
Eventually he finds himself spread eagle across his bed. His eyes trace along the wooden grain of the ceiling. His head still spins when he thinks too deeply about anything, and a strange ache has settled into his chest, like a fist around his heart.
Does he love Hange Zoe? Would it be fair to bring a child into the world if he didn’t?
They’ve never said the words aloud to one another, but he knows in his heart-of-hearts that he does love her. She anchors him to reality, instills in him a drive to live where there might have only been despair.
His fists clench and unclench rhythmically in his linens. Levi shuts his slate eyes and breathes deeply, trying to calm and steady himself.
He is in love with Hange Zoe. He can admit that to himself now, in what feels like the most dire of circumstances.
But can he love a child? Is there enough room in his heart?
He rolls onto his side and covers his face with a pillow.
It still feels unreal. A bad dream playing out before his waking eyes.
Hour 3
He oscillates back into denial, then anger.
Who are they to bring a child into this terrible, cruel world? An Eldian child, a scapegoat, a martyr for Marley to string up and burn.
She has to be lying. Hange cannot possibly be telling him the truth. No Walls, no Gods, no omnipotent powers could be so terribly sordid as to bring an infant into the world now. Not while they are on the brink of war.
Hour 4
He remembers his childhood; years spent wasting away in a whorehouse. Starving while his mother wasted her ill-gotten wages on booze. Levi was a bastard, fatherless. The only male role-model he’d ever had was Kenny, and look where that had gotten him.
“I can’t be a father,” he whispers into the dying light of his quarters.
He doesn’t know how.
Hour 5
He takes his supper in the mess hall when he would normally eat within the privacy of his quarters. He hopes that the noise might distract, that interacting with his... his kids... might help him to better grasp his current situation.
The irony of it isn’t lost on him as he sits in silence amongst his young comrades. In a way he has been a father to them where their own had become titan food.
He watches Sasha scarf her food with abandon, Connie teasing her between his own hearty mouthfuls. He watches Jean roll his eyes at the two of them, then take a moment to proudly pet the patchy stubble that has begun to grow in around his chin.
Levi listens to Armin excitedly pontificate to Mikasa and Eren about Marlean cuisine and meal customs. Mikasa listens on in contented silence, a small smile on her lips. Eren’s eyes are distant, like he isn’t listening at all.
Levi wants to smack him on the back of his head. The twerp has been acting up a lot more as of late. Secretly, it worries him.
His kids.
Who needs a baby when they have it this good?
He sighs and looks down to his tray, food untouched.
They’re Hange’s kids, too.
Their baby. Theirs.
Hour 6
He returns to his quarters, stomach tied up in painful knots. He remembers Kenny, how the man had taught him the cruel, ruthless ways of the Underground.
He remembers Isabel and Furlan. How he had allowed himself to love so selflessly only to be burned and brutalized in the end. What if that happened to Hange? Hange who he had come to rely on more than anything, anyone. Childbirth was a dangerous thing, everyone knew that. Even with the new, fancy anti-biotics being imported from the mainland the risks were high.
What if he lost her?
Her remembers Erwin who he had loved as a father, a brother, a martyr and a dear comrade. He remembers his Commander dying on that rooftop in Shiganshina. He remembers the blood. Icy blue eyes cold and dead as Hange peeled back his lids.
Levi’s stomach rolls and he flips his upper half over the side of the bed and promptly vomits onto the floor.
Behind his eyes an image has begun to take shape. Hange laid out in bed, naked from the waist down. Bloody, sweaty, weak and dying as a shapeless creatures squalls on her chest.
“No,” Levi rasps, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
He feels so weak, so helpless in the face of this indominable thing. The sleep that takes him is unbidden and restless.
Hour 7
Levi dreams of a cabin tucked away amongst the massive boles of the trees beyond wall Rose. Smoke rises from the chimney, filling the crisp forest air with a pleasant, homey smell.
Sunlight breaks through the canopy and speckles the ground. Everything is bright and beautiful and alive. The simple wooden door of the cabin beckons to him, and he is helpless but to answer its call.
Inside the space is cozy and quaint. The kitchen and living area inhabiting the same space. Hange is waiting for him, sitting on a small, plush sofa. She isn’t wearing her eye patch, revealing the milky iris and silvery scar she usually guards so carefully.
“Levi,” she beams at him. For a moment he is stunned by her simple, unkempt beauty.
He knows he is meant to be anxious over something, but suddenly he cannot remember what it is.
He sits down beside her takes her face between his hands and kisses her.
I love you, he wants to admit the truth. He’s ready. But his lips will not part. The words will not pass his tongue.
When they part Hange’s expression darkens, long shadows falling over her hawkish features.
“Levi...” she breathes.
Shadows begin to creep in from the corners of the cabin. The walls suddenly feel as though they are caving in, and suddenly his peaceful dream has become a nightmare.
“You’re pregnant,” The sound of his own voice is alien and distant in his ears. He feels small. Smaller than usual. Miniscule and helpless. Why can he speak now?
Hange nods and then the pair of them are besieged by shadows.
Hour 8
Levi sits bolt upright in his bed, sweat is gathered on his brow and sharp shivers wrack his limbs. He pants and wipes his face with his palm.
“Fuck,” he curses.
He’s used to nightmares, but more often than not Hange is in bed beside him waiting to soothe them away.
Here, in his quarters, he is completely and utterly alone.
Levi doesn’t want to be alone anymore.
He tugs on his boots and stumbles out into the hallway, not caring how disheveled he must appear to any passers-by. He wants to be with Hange, he’s cursing himself for leaving her alone to begin with.
How selfish does that make him? He’s not the one bearing the brunt of this burden. It isn’t his body and life that are at risk. What must she be feeling now? All alone because her lover left her in a fit of selfish upset.
When he reaches her door he doesn’t bother to knock. It opens with a rush of air and he finds her where he left her; sitting at her desk, gazing out the window. Her elbows rest on the dry ink of a half finished letter.
“Levi?” She spins sideways in her chair, facing him entirely.
He shakes his head and closes the distance between them in two easy strides. He seizes her face between his hands and kisses her roughly, because he isn’t good with words, so he’ll show her how he feels.
“Mmpf!” She makes a noise of surprise, but then she melts into him, hands lifting to rest on his chest, then caressing around to link behind his neck.
When they part she gives a small, sad smile and says, “I didn’t think I’d see you again tonight.”
“I was being an idiot,” Levi grunts, and he helps her to her feet. “A selfish idiot.”
“No you weren’t, Levi. It’s a lot to take in, I know,” her thumb brushes his lower lip. “I love you.”
Hour 9
The words are difficult to speak, so he shows her out he feels. He shows her in the reverent way he peels her clothes from her body, the rough, desperate caress of his touch, the slide of his thin lips over her chin and collarbones and breasts.
He holds her hips and kisses from her navel to her abdomen, and he kisses her there too because despite everything he does want this baby. He loves this baby already, because it is him and it is Hange. The best of the both of them taking shape in her womb.
Levi abandons all gentleness as he makes love to her. It is animal. Primal. His hands will leave bruises on her hips, and his lips suck hers swollen.
When he finishes, just after her, he doesn’t bother to pull out. It doesn’t matter anymore. And as he pumps himself into her he whispers raspy and desperate into her sternum, “I love you.”
The words hurt in such a sublime way. He’s never said them before, not once in his life. But here he is, speaking them, meaning them, bleeding them from his soul into hers.
He loves her, and he’ll love this baby, too.
Hour 10
They lay in bed, Hange’s fingers comb rhythmically through his hair, and she presses the occasional kiss to his crown.
Levi has one arm wound around her waist, his cheek pressed into her sternum, his other hand cupping her abdomen, thumb caressing gentle circles into the skin there.
“I know you’re afraid,” Hange finally speaks. Her voice is soft and loaded with emotion. “I am, too. But I think we deserve this, Levi. It’s a chance for a life beyond the Survey Corps, for a real family.”
Levi tilts his head up and kisses her gently. She’s right, but he still cannot help but remember his vision and his nightmare.
“There’s so much that could go wrong,” his voice is pained. He holds her tighter.
Hange sighs and rests her cheek on his head, “You’re not wrong, but we’ve got eight months to figure things out, okay? For tonight, just hold me.”
Levi sighs and melts into her, shutting his eyes.
In Hange’s arms his sleep is dreamless.

Tumblr media
Mikey stared at the box as its countdown was on 10 seconds
He waited impatiently as it counted down from 3 then 2 then finally one
And just as the sticky note said a click was heard as the box unlocked
Mitsuya locked his door as the box made a clicking sound, he looked at it and took a deep breath
Draken watched as the boxes countdown finished, he grabbed it and readied himself
Inside the boxes laid a bunch of photos and a letter to the corresponding boy
Mikey sighed as he stuck his hand in and looked at the photos of you and him as kids, smiling and laughing, even bathing together
He smiled and he grabbed the letter, he opened it and inside the letter were two papers, he took the first paper
Dear Mikey,
I’ve know you for a long time Mikey, and in my whole life never once have I regretted meeting you and becoming friends. We have been through thick and thin and it’s been hard for a while for you and I know that because it’s been hard for me as well. I know you’re sad and feel like you need to shoulder all the burden alone but know that there’s always people that you can rely on, me and the gang love you so much, I love you so much. Life is a thing that comes and goes and mine is the unfortunate one to be going this time, you know I don’t act without reason my friend. I love you so very much and thank you for everything, please create a new era for us Mikey, I believe you can do it and I’ll always be supporting and watching you ☻︎ ♡︎♡︎
Sincerely and loving,
Y/n <3
Mikey stared frozen at the letter as he flipped it around making sure he didn’t read it wrong, he grabbed the next paper with more urgency then the first
In that letter it explained your plan in detail from accepting Kisaki into your gang to you bringing him to a date to end both your lives, and the address to the restaurant you would do it at
He never jumped off his bed so fast and left the house
Mitsuya opened the box and smiled immediately upon seeing the photos, his childhood was a little wonky but those moments with you and gang really did make life a little easier back then
He sat down as he took out his letter, he opened it
Dear Mitsuya,
Mitsuya first I’d like to thank you, you’ve been there for me for as long as I could remember almost like an older brother, but I guess you would be used to that roll huh haha. I’ve never met someone as unique as you Mitsuya and that’s a good thing promise! Since a young age you’ve had the same aura and personality and that’s calming because things are changing so fast lately..we are losing friends and life is getting scarier but you, you were always like a safe place I could come to when I needed stability in this life and you never failed to do it, that’s why I appreciate you so much and why this may be the hardest one to write, tell Luna and Mana and your mom I love them so much, I wish I could come and eat a bowl of rice with you guys, I’m so hungry and tired, but soon I’ll be okay, and I hope you’re gonna be okay too Mitsuya, I love you ☻︎♡︎♡︎
Sincerely and loving,
Y/n <3
Mitsuya stared at the letter in surprise, but suddenly a wet drop falls onto the paper, he put his hand up to his cheek and to his surprise he was crying, he grabbed the other paper that had the plan on it and get got off his bed quickly as he rushed out the door leaving his siblings and mother confused
Draken open the box and grabbed the photos, he snorted “my hairstyle was so lame back then” he laughs as he takes his time to look through the pictures
He finally grabbed his letter and opened it
Dear Ken,
You crazy bastard. You and your stupid dragon tattoo, how am I supposed to insult you anymore? Life was never dull with you around, you always managed to make me smile and took care of me, I’m sorry for being another Mikey ahah! But I can’t tell you how much I will always appreciate all the times you’ve brought me take out when I studied too long or even patching me up when Baji was too dumb to lol, I don’t even know what to say, I’m crying as I write this and that probably alerted you like the overprotective friend you are, but I love that about you, you and your weird haircut, I love you so much Ken, please continue to smile. ☻︎♡︎♡︎
Sincerely and loving,
Y/n <3
Draken grit his teeth slightly as he grabbed the other letter reading over its contents quickly, he got up with haste
“Idiot y/n you better be fine or I sweat to-“ he says to himself as he rushed out his room
Simultaneously the three boys pulled up at the same time on their motorcycles and it seemed to click in all their heads what was happening
When they got there they already saw a fire truck and ambulance, they rushed over to see two body bags getting dragged out
The first one there was Draken
“W-wait, what happened?!” He asks one of the firefighters who turns around
“Two teenagers, burned to death in a sudden fire, an accident with the stoves gas blowing up trapping them in, a girl and boy” he says and their eyes widen
“Where-Where’s the girls body?” Mitsuya asks and the guy points at the first body bag, they rush over and begin to pull the zipper
Mitsuya gags as he turns away, Mikey falls to the ground while Draken couldn’t look away
There you laid, body burned almost beyond recognization, a beautiful black flammable dress on you
“Hey!” One of the ambulance people say coming over and closing the body bag back up, they roll you and Kisakis body away from the boys
“I-My last words to her they- I-“ Mikey says wide eyed as he lets his head fall down as the tears finally roll down his face
“I didn’t hug her one last time, I stormed out her house and left her...crying...she was probably in so much pain from doing this..” Draken whispers as he wobbles and staggers before falling to the ground
Mitsuya wiped his mouth from the vomit and turned around to see Kazuha sitting on one of the benches
“Isn’t that..?” He says as he gets up, when him and Kazuha make eye contact he sees Kazuhas tired and red eyes, proof of his crying
Kazuha got up and kneeled near the boys
“I-If only I was faster, I was right in front of the store as it blew up both the exits, I couldn’t get in, I only had to be 5 minutes faster and I could’ve saved her..” he says as his head falls to the concrete, all 4 boys cried together as the fire burned in the background

Virgil had been trying to calm himself down for the better part of an hour, as soon as they got back from the wedding fiasco; and he was doing a relatively okay job. Considering the circumstances, at least. Or so he thought, when he registered a spike in Thomas’s anxiety. This only served to make Virgil more anxious, because he had thought he had been doing well—until, he realized it wasn’t anxiety, not exactly, not fully—and it wasn’t coming from him.
Once he'd figured that out, it wasn't hard to trace the feeling to the imagination. He paused at the door. If this was where the strongest negative emotions were coming from, he already knew which side this was about. And could he really be surprised? Roman had wanted that callback for so long. Even at the court case, even when Roman gave Thomas his sentence, Virgil knew it killed him. And Virgil didn't do anything. Because he was so fucking scared of Thomas being bad, or of Janus winning, or something, and now whatever was going on was his fault, and--
And now was not the time for these thoughts. He breathed in. He opened the door.
Immediately, he was coughing out soot, heat burned his cheeks, his eyes blurred with protective tears forming against the smoke. It was hard to see, let alone process, what was happening. Then, he caught sight of the Dragon Witch. And he caught sight of—
“Roman!” Virgil choked on the yell, coughing again.
Obviously Roman couldn’t hear him from the distance, especially considering the brutal roar of the creature. Adrenaline kicked in, and as Virgil began to sprint towards the prince, he took in the entirety of the scene with alarm. Roman was...fighting, sure, except that Virgil had seen him fight before, and this... wasn’t right. Roman bested manticore-chimeras like it was a breeze, he HAD bested the Dragon Witch herself in every form she took, “just for training.” He always moved like he was in a ballet, not a battle, like it was more for show than challenge, and now...
Virgil watched Roman fall to a hard swish of the creature’s tail, and stay there. He almost expected the Dragon Witch to take mercy, or at least, to accept an early victory. But he watched her rear back, raise a taloned hand, the magma-red in her throat glowing brighter and brighter—just as Virgil got close enough to let fight win over flight.
Virgil crashed into Roman; they rolled just far enough that the swipe of claws only ripped the edge of Virgil’s jacket.
Immediate danger out of the way, Virgil clenched his eyes tight, trying to do it how Logan taught him. He found something that didn’t make sense--the grass. The grass was dry, therefore it should have been burning, but it wasn’t. He took that foothold to dispel all the fantastical elements of the scene, Dragon Witch and all her carnage blinking from existence. The new calm of the scene was jarring.
That just left a great big field, Virgil, and one absolute dumbass.
"What the fuck, Princey?!"
Virgil’s voice was distorted with stress, and Roman stared up at him wide-eyed, unsure—even terrified in a way that hurt. Virgil quickly pushed himself up so he wasn't pinning the other. Roman tried to copy this movement, only to groan, start coughing, and fall back again.
“Shit, I—“ Virgil looked at his hands and found red on them, looked at Roman and saw the color painting his chest. “I thought I dispelled all the imaginary stuff, why—?“
“Left brain sides can only dispel so much of what right brain sides feel,” Roman said, voice rough and thin and upsettingly casual, “Since they feel so real to me, you can’t get rid of them.”
“They feel…? Christ, ok, you need a medical kit, uhm—“ Virgil closed his eyes again; he was notoriously shitty at summoning things, and he had to concentrate for this—
“That’s ok; I’ve got it,” Roman said, letting out a quiet hiss as he propped himself up on one arm, and summoned the medical kit with the other, “You can go now.”
Virgil gaped at him in disbelief. When Roman attempted to stand up, and Virgil could no longer deny he wasn’t joking, he exclaimed, “Like Hell am I going, idiot!”
Roman just stared at him, and Virgil cursed under his breath. “Ok ok, let’s just... we should do this in the bathroom, uhm—“
Virgil awkwardly clambered over to Roman again, taking his hand, so he could blink them over together. He knew it would probably be more comfortable for Roman to sink in and out, but considering Virgil wasn’t practiced at that, he wasn’t going to risk screwing it up.
They apparated into the bathtub, and Virgil scrambled up, taking the med kit from Roman's hands.
Ok, ok, now Virgil just had to remember that one time Logan lectured them all on “Side Safety.” He took a shaky breath and washed his hands quickly, before turning back to Roman. He allowed himself to fully assess the prince this time and… Jesus. He was slumped against the back of the tub, having given up his attempts at composure while he thought Virgil wasn’t looking. His litany of scrapes, cuts, bruising, his shallow breathing, and--most of all--the wet, red patch slowly growing on his shirt, sparked renewed panic in Virgil.
“Ok, fuck, ok--let’s do this,” Virgil said, mostly to himself, as he knelt down by Roman to undo his already tattered shirt and take a wet towel to his chest. He had to suck in a breath at the sight of the jagged wound, a nauseous feeling catching up to him.
“You’ve already done a lot, you know,” Roman insisted. “You can--”
“If you tell me to go, Princey, I swear I’ll make these wounds worse myself,” he said, not meaning it in the slightest, which he would assume Roman knew--but the way Roman flinched and shut his mouth told a different story. “Shit, I didn’t mean that. Of course I didn’t mean that!”
Roman glanced away, and Virgil reached to cup his cheek, an instinct he didn’t know he had. Luckily, he caught himself in time to retract his hand. They both avoided eye contact for a second; Virgil cleared his throat; and he reached for the bottle of hydrogen peroxide before pausing. He vaguely recalled Logan mentioning how strong alcohols would only cause more harm, and they should just stick to mild soap instead. He gave the cut a longer look-over—it was certainly not a pretty sight, but probably not as bad as it looked. It was large, but not too deep. Plus, as sides, it would heal itself without needing anything like stitches or professional medical work. The past scars littering Roman’s body were proof of that. Actually--had he always had this many scars? Virgil squinted. How often did he do this?
Virgil finished cleansing and bandaging the wound to the best of his ability, with little talk beyond the occasional, soft “sorry” at Roman’s winces. When he had finished, he gave Roman his hoodie (an action the Prince was too tired to take much notice of), since summoning a new shirt seemed like a waste of whatever energy he had left.
“Ok, Princey, all done. Uhm, are you—how, how are you?” Virgil mentally kicked himself.
A small, bitter smile tugged at Roman’s lips for just a moment. He opened his mouth and then closed it, and finally shrugged. “Thank you for your help.”
It hurt, Virgil realized. Roman’s quiet voice, where near-shouting was his usual speech. His unkempt hair sticking to his forehead, where it was usually styled to be very lightly and intentionally ruffled. The bags beneath his eyes where there was usually concealer. All of it hurt.
Virgil sucked in a breath. “Look, I’m sorry if I’m being annoying, but I hope you know there’s absolutely no way I’m leaving yet.”
“Virgil,” Roman almost said it as a whine, which was closer to his usual style, so Virgil considered it progress.
“Roman,” Virgil deadpanned back.
Roman huffed. “Maybe I need space to really explore my feelings, and you’re actually being a terrible friend right now,” he argued.
“Uh-huh, well being a terrible friend is always my favorite, so,” Virgil leaned down, fumbling slightly as he picked Roman up bridal style, “We’re gonna get you to bed, and you can explore your feelings by sleeping.”
“Great, now you’re damsel-in-distressing me,” Roman said sarcastically, but he leaned his head into Virgil’s chest as he did so, which kind of ruined his point.
“Yeah, yeah. Act more like Megara next time, and maybe it’ll be different.”
•••
Roman groaned upon waking up. His whole body ached, but mainly it was focused around a sharper pain in his chest. He let his eyes flutter open, only to find Virgil staring at him from his desk.
“Ah,” Roman uttered, a jumble of memories from the past few hours returning. They felt foggy and mildly icky, but mainly the pain in them was the numb kind of pain, the tired kind. Really, it was indistinguishable from the dull ache of his bruises and cuts.
“Yeah,” Virgil said, as though he understood, even though he couldn’t possibly. “Uh, wanna talk about it?”
It was clear Virgil felt awkward asking the question. It was unclear whether that was due to his tendency to be embarrassed by everything he said, or—far more likely—that he wanted to stop babying a stupid prince, and just go about his business.
Roman sat up, suppressing a wince as best he could. “Do you want to hear about it?”
“Of course I do.” Virgil said it without an ounce of hesitation. Roman’s breath caught.
“Oh.” Roman shifted slightly over, and Virgil took a seat by him on the bed. “Okay. Uhm. I don’t know, I just—I messed up.” What else was new?
“...What did you mess up?” Virgil asked, with an inkling of suspicion, like he knew what this was about. But it wasn’t that; it wasn’t the callback—that was over and done and dead. Roman had created so many fantasies, so many crazy scenarios where they could somehow still make it in that stupid movie, and it had always filled him with hope or crushing pain or something, but as of this afternoon? He didn’t even care. It didn’t matter.
So, Roman ignored the question, and instead commented, “Janus got accepted.”
“What the fuck.”
Roman observed Virgil’s stricken expression like an unsettling kind of mirror of himself when—
My name is Janus.
“Yeah,” Roman sighed, “I didn’t take it so well either.”
Virgil looked at him for a long moment, seeming to go through several series of emotions, before he was able to ask, “...What happened?”
Roman inhaled sharply. “I was wrong about being wrong about the wedding. Patton was also wrong; Janus was right, and then Patton was right because he wasn’t a total asshole to Janus, and I’m evil; Thomas hates me; whatever, you get it.”
He thought he would break down, saying it, but he felt oddly… fine. He sat, staring at the same spot as he was before, absentmindedly annoyed at the way his bandages itched. The normalcy of the situation almost made it worse. This sucked. This wasn’t even bad. This was the worst he had ever felt.
“Oook,” Virgil said, clearly not knowing where to start, “I—you—what do you mean: Thomas hates you?”
“Thought that one was self-explanatory.”
“He can’t hate you,” Virgil said with a laughable amount of conviction. “You’re still his… y’know.. goals. Desires. Hopes. Whatever. Just because this one didn’t go… perfectly, doesn’t mean you won’t keep—“ he struggled to find the phrasing for a moment— “...fighting, uh, valiantly for Thomas’s dreams!” he attempted at the encouragement with a weak smile.
Roman just shook his head. “No. I don’t know what he wants.”
Virgil’s smile dropped into confusion. “But… you are his wants.”
“That’s kind of the problem.”
Virgil seemed at a loss, and Roman felt like an asshole. Here he was trying to help him, and Roman couldn’t even be bothered to put on a smile to dismiss him from the duty.
“Please go,” Roman attempted weakly when he couldn’t find a more convincing argument in himself. He was meant to be an actor, but he knew he couldn’t hide the fact that he wanted him to stay, of course he did, so badly. He hoped Virgil would just quit with the chivalry and go despite that.
Virgil sighed deeply and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Shit, I'm going about this all wrong.”
Roman knew it probably wasn’t really him Virgil was mad at, but it was hard not to shrink away anyway.
“Look, Roman—“ Virgil turned to him, looked at him seriously, took his hands in his— “To be honest? I don’t care what happened. I don’t care who was right or wrong—I mean, we all know I’ve been in the wrong more than my fair share. It doesn’t change how I feel about you.”
Roman didn’t miss the ambiguity of the end statement. “But… look, you don’t get it. When you mess up, you’re still you. You’re still...,” Roman gestured vaguely, which upset his bandages, and when he looked down at himself, he took note of the black/purple hoodie he was wearing. He melted slightly. This was exactly the point he was trying to make, “You’re still... y’know. Important.”
“Wh—? Of course you’re important, Ro. You’re creativity—“
“Thomas has two of those.”
Virgil looked at him like he was stupid. “Right, as if you’re anything like Remus.”
Roman’s lip quivered at that, and he had to look away, which was so stupid. And suddenly he felt all of the embarrassment at once—of this situation, of everything that had happened before, of the way he was about to cry, in front of Virgil, after he said that, which must look so—
“Roman?”
A hand was on his cheek, softly turning his face towards Virgil’s, though Roman still refused to meet his eyes.
Virgil cursed to himself under his breath. “Shit, this is exactly what I was trying not to say.” He sighed, and Roman hesitantly looked up at him. “Look. Even if you weren’t creativity, if you weren’t hopes or dreams or any of it—if you were a completely pointless side, which you aren’t, but if you were—I wouldn’t care. What I care about is that you’re... Roman. That you bother me until I sing Disney with you, that when you put your heart into something, you do it to a stupid amount, that you make Thomas take trashy buzzfeed soulmate quizzes when he’s stressed, and that you fucking try so hard for everything, even when I’m being a little bitch about it,” he paused. With the hand on Roman’s cheek, he traced the line of a scar down his jaw. It was one of the ones Roman usually made sure to put an illusion over, he noted offhandedly. “I care, because you’re my best friend.”
“Don’t say that,” Roman choked out. He couldn’t handle it if it was a lie, and part of him couldn’t manage hearing it as anything but exactly that. “Just—just—“
“Oh, Princey..”
Virgil held him as he broke. Roman didn’t know how long they sat like that as he let everything wash over him for a final time, let it all truly sink in at long last. He took heaving, messy sobs, no doubt ruining Virgil’s shirt in the process—he was quiet, though. He shook silently, save a couple choked breaths, in the other’s arms--that was a habit he had taught himself long ago.
When Roman had tired himself out, when all that was left was the pain in chest, (which was also suddenly duller—he was healing fast, even for a side—) he pulled back from the embrace. Virgil didn’t move by much, kept them so their fingers were laced together, as they sat staring at each other.
“Uhm. Thanks,” Roman gave a shaky smile, “You really—uh... I... I said some stupid stuff, huh?”
Virgil hesitated before he spoke, as if he knew he shouldn’t ask this right now, but needed to anyway. “...Roman, why’d you go to the Imagination?”
Roman felt ice stab at his chest upon the question. He didn’t want to do this. They had already talked about so much that he shouldn’t have gotten into; this was meant to be the part where they either parted or watched a stupid movie. And this, out of everything, was the conversation he most needed to avoid.
“Uh—I mean, to let off steam?” Roman gave a laugh as best he could. “Obviously, it didn’t go to plan—“
“Didn’t it?”
Roman’s face fell immediately. He struggled to come up with an answer, and even if he had had one, he didn’t think the sound would come out. This was enough of an answer in itself
“Shit,” Virgil breathed. Roman couldn’t help but be mildly annoyed by his surprise—clearly he had already known, he didn’t have to make it a big deal now.
“I… Princey—Roman…” Virgil looked him up and down, and Roman wanted to curl up and hide. “...how many times?”
“Not many,” Roman mumbled. Virgil must have known he was pushing the subject too far, because he just frowned and said,
“OK. I mean...it’s not OK, obviously, but you already know that, I just—“ he sighed. “Just… can you talk to me? Instead? Please? When you feel like… that.”
“Yeah, that sounds good,” Roman responded hastily, wanting an out from this topic.
Virgil gave him a look. “I’m serious. I mean—look, you don’t even have to talk about it if you don’t want. Just, come to me first, yeah?”
Roman’s face burned; he was embarrassed; he wanted to shrug this whole thing off, or roll his eyes, or maybe scream in annoyance. But the rational part of him knew Virgil was right. “OK,” he agreed softly, “...Thanks. For everything.”
Virgil looked surprised, and then flustered, and then waved off the earnest reply. “I mean, it wasn’t--I didn’t--it’s not like I did anything really--”
“You did.”
Virgil’s face softened. “Yeah, well... you’d’ve done the same for me. You... have done the same for me.”
Roman smiled gently at him. “By the way, Virge--” He hesitated. He was about to sound like a real dumbass if Virgil had only been saying this stuff for comfort’s sake. But making a fool of himself was becoming a theme for him anyway, so he continued, “You’re my best friend too.”
I love you.
In the same beats Roman thought it, Virgil squeezed his hand lightly 3 times. A breath passed between them. An understanding. That Roman couldn’t say it out loud, and Virgil wouldn’t.
Instead, Virgil fell back across the bed, bringing Roman with him in the motion. Roman let out a startled gasp and elbowed him lightly. “Hey! I’m injured, that could have been a fatal impact for me!” he whined.
Virgil snorted. “Yeah, yeah, OK. So, do you wanna watch a stupid movie, or what?”

Gingerbread (Ficmas #1)
Here we go!!! Ficmas day one! Super excited about this - I’ve never done ficmas before! As promised... a little sweet competition!
Characters and their world by @lumosinlove “Is everyone ready?” Celeste asked, standing around her kitchen, looking at the room nearly overflowing with hockey players and their loved ones. “Leo and I are the judges. The rules are simple, you all have to build a gingerbread house, everything you need is right in front of you. The best looking one wins, okay?”
Remus grinned and nodded, nudging Sirius excitedly. They had everything - including the gingerbread premade by Celeste herself, so even if it looked like a disaster it was sure to taste amazing. Not that theirs would look anything less than fantastic.
On second thought, maybe a group of highly competitive athletes working against each other instead of with each other was a bad idea.
“Okay guys!” Leo called as he hopped up to sit on the counter and oversee the proceedings. “You have one hour. Your time starts.... Now!”
Remus grinned at Sirius, and then they set to work.
Logan knew watching Leo be all authoritative as a judge while he just had to watch would be hard. He didn’t know it would be torture. He was teamed with Adele and Katie, but Adele had to keep hitting his arm to get his attention.
“Logan,” She warned. “I want to win. Now are you gonna focus or not?”
Logan shook his head. Leo could wait. He had a competition to win. “Oui, sorry yes I’m good now.”
Adele nodded, apparently satisfied and Katie drew their attention back to her when she started bouncing in her seat.
“Allez!” She said, her eyes wide, “Tremzy come on I wanna get to the part where I can eat it.”
Logan chuckled but obliged her, obediently holding pieces of gingerbread in place at the girls’ command as the icing dried.
“Okay, no pressure or anything, but your name’s Noelle so I’m expecting you to dominate this Christmas thing.” Thomas said, only partially jokingly as Noelle carefully piped the outline of their ‘windows’.
“Um, excuse you Thomas Walker,” She replied, “What does it look like I’m doing?”
“Okay, but hear me out,” Thomas started as he picked up a piece of gingerbread, and started piping green spikes on it. “We should have pine trees in front of it.”
Noelle looked at him like he was losing his mind. “Babe, it’s a gingerbread house.” She said slowly as if it were a foreign concept.
“I know!” Thomas said, excitedly waving his hands and as he did, his pine tree went flying through the air and landed in Kasey’s hair.
Kasey turned around very slowly and looked around menacingly, reaching up and pulling the biscuit out of his hair, leaving green splotches and crumbs in its wake.
“Who?” He ground out, and Thomas looked around with a shocked expression. “I have no idea! Noelle? Did you see anything?”
Noelle bit down her laugh and shook her head. “Non. Maybe it was one of the kids?” She said, looking over at Logan’s table to where Katie had more icing on her than the house. Kasey followed her and his vision softened. He nodded once and turned back around, Thomas made another tree and held it up to Noelle.
“They’ll never see it coming.” He said, finally finishing his statement. Noelle rolled her eyes, but in the end, there were a ton of palm trees in their ‘garden’.
Finn was with Pascal and Marc, all of them particularly competitive and set on winning except there was one little problem… None of them had ever actually made a gingerbread house before.
“I think it goes like this?” Marc said, tilting his head as he stuck two pieces together, the icing going everywhere. He let go and they all held their breath while the biscuits stood for about ten seconds before collapsing so slowly it was actually a little sad.
“I say we give up and just eat everything.” Finn proposed. Marc nodded, Dumo looked like he was going to put up a fight, but one glance at their gingerbread wreckage had his shoulders slumping. He reached out and broke off a bit of biscuit, popping it into his mouth with a grin.
“At least it tastes good?”
“But we didn’t make-” Marc began.
“Shh.” Finn cut him off with a playful wink. “At least it tastes good.”
Kasey’s hair was green and that had been a problem but then Alex promised he’d wash it out himself later that night and well, those words along with the little wink Natalie sent him had Kasey pretty okay with the whole situation. He sat there, smiling softly as he listened to Alex and Natalie chat away while Kasey did all the actual work, creating quite a nice gingerbread house, thank you very much.
Kasey grew up with his dad baking every Sunday and he’d always help. He wasn’t ashamed to say he was quite handy with a piping bag, and Alex was watching with wide eyes as Kasey piped ‘snow’ on the roof.
“How-” Alex stuttered, his eyes focused on Kasey’s hand.
Natalie bit down her smile. “He likes to keep people guessing.”
“I… I’m not complaining.”
“Like what you see O’Hara?” Kasey asked, unable to stop himself from teasing the other man. Alex was as prone to flushing a deep red as his brother, but Kasey found Alex looked a lot boyish when it happened to him.
“I definitely like what I’m seeing.” Alex replied, before cheekily dipping his finger in the icing and smirking at Kasey as he ate it.
Natalie laughed at them both as she leaned in and kissed the sugar dusting Alex’s lips. Kasey raised an eyebrow, but kept looking at what he was doing, until Alex was standing next to him.
“Open up.” Alex prompted, holding his icing coated finger up to Kasey’s lips. Kasey made eye contact with Natalie for a split second, before doing as instructed, smiling into the kiss Alex gave him after.
“Chocolate was always my favourite.” Alex said with a sigh as he sat back down, Natalie placing her feet in his lap as she shamelessly ate the sweets they needed to decorate. Kasey glanced up to see Leo already looking at him.
“Redheads.” Leo mouthed with a shrug, “Gotta love em.”
Leo had to admit, sitting back and watching the world devolve into chaos was quite entertaining. He could still taste the gingerbread Finn had given him, their house looking more like it had been hit by a hurricane instead of like someone had actually tried to, you know, build it. Logan’s little team was doing a whole lot better, it was looking a little messy but Katie was doing a lot of the icing and well, there’s only so neat kids can be, try as they might.
Leo’s heart melted as it always did when he would watch Logan with Dumo’s kids. He was just so good with them and they adored him in turn. One of the spare bedrooms in their apartment had been the designated spot for where they would keep presents until they were able to give them out, and Leo was fairly sure half of the room’s contents were just Logan’s presents for the little Dumais’.
“Are rookies even allowed to be judges?” Thomas queried as Leo passed and Leo had fun getting to act all haughty. Thomas looked particularly suspicious and Leo didn’t miss the correlation between the green icing he sported and the little patch of colour in Kasey’s hair. Leo filed that little bit of information away for a day he could really use it.
“Do you think it’s a good idea to get on a judge's bad side, Talkie?”
“Hey, you love me!” Thomas protested and Noelle shook her head.
“No, but he loves me.” She said looking at Leo and winking. “You’ve got to stay on the good side of your future in-laws.”
Leo felt himself flush even as Logan twisted in his seat to look at them. “Tricheuse!” Logan cried. “Leo baby don’t listen to her, she just wants to win.” He stuck out his tongue at Noelle.
Leo abandoned Noelle and Thomas to crouch next to Logan, smirking. “Am I not marriage material Tremblay?”
Another time, earlier in their relationship maybe, Logan would have scrambled to reassure Leo, probably tripping over his own words so many times nothing actually coherent came out. Now though, Logan just smiled at him lazily.
“The most. I just mean she loves you either way, I think there’s literally nothing you could do that would make her not like you.”
Leo kissed him on the cheek before laughing as Katie wrapped her arms around him.
“Salut Katie!” He said, standing up to throw her in the air, Katie shrieking with laughter before Leo set her back down on her chair. Leo stood up and began to move away, but not before he missed Katie unintentionally chirping Logan, “Leo throws me high.” She said in a serious tone as Leo snorted his laughter, shaking his head as he moved away.
Regulus hadn’t been sure about building a gingerbread house with Nado and Kuny - he didn't really know them and as a general rule, he didn’t like to spend too much time with people he didn’t know. But Dima got on with them really well and Dima was his friend so here Regulus was, building a gingerbread house in Pascal Dumais’ house. Two snakes in a lion's den.
“Are you sure that will hold?” Regulus found himself asking sceptically as Kuny attempted to build a several story building. Gingerbread house - more like gingerbread mansion if Kuny had his way.
Nado answered instead just nodding his head. “Of course.”
“Fair enough.” Regulus conceded, happy to sit back and watch the proceedings. He glanced around the room, still not quite sure where he fit into this chaotic little familial like team, but happy to be here all the same. More than happy to see nothing but pure joy on his brother’s face. Hope because maybe Regulus could find that kind of happiness here too.
“D’accord!” Celeste called, clapping her hands. “Okay everyone step away from your tables, your time is up!”
The team piled into the sitting room as Celeste and Leo judged all the gingerbread houses. Sirius and James sat on the floor, with Harry playing happily with them. Remus and Lily sat snugly on the couch above them, both nursing mugs of tea and heads bent together as they caught each other up on the events of the last couple of weeks.
Finn and Logan were having an arm wrestling competition in the corner and most of the others piled around to watch them, all yelling for someone. Logan won, Finn hanging his head in shame and then they were both immediately challenged by the rest of the team, Logan battling (and losing quite dramatically) to Katie.
Leo and Celeste came back into the room, looking quite smug as they held up a cardboard trophy.
“We have the winner,” Leo said to get everyone’s attention and the sudden hush that fell upon the room was quite comical.
“Drumroll!” Thomas cried and the room was filled with the rapid thuds of everyone slapping their hands against the nearest object.
“And the winner is…” Celeste drew out, “Katie, Adele and Logan!”
The trio jumped up, hugging and high fiving.
Logan stood up on a chair and pressed his hands against his chest in gratitude.
“Thank you, thank you,” He joked, wiping away a fake tear. “We’ve been dreaming about this for, mon dieu, I don’t know how long.”
“You weren’t this dramatic when you won MVP!” Sirius called from the back of the room and Logan winked at him before continuing. “I think Adele had the idea that secured our win though, Adele?”
The girl dashed to the kitchen and came back with their little gingerbread house, the outside entirely lined by little gingerbread people.
“We made the team!” Katie said, bouncing on her toes. There was a rush as everyone came over to have a look and before long, everyone was grabbing their figurine and eating them.
“Goodbye little Thomas.” Talkie said mournfully before biting its head off.
“Hey, maybe now I can give myself head.” Leo muttered to Finn, who promptly choked, spitting crumbs everywhere as he flushed a deep red.
Remus leaned back into Sirius as they munched on their biscuits.
“This is fun. We should do it again next year.”
Sirius wiped the crumbs from his lip and tightened his hold on Remus’ waist. “And the year after that, and they year after that, and the ye-”
Remus giggled, twisting in Sirius’ arms to shut him up by kissing him. “Yeah, baby. I’d like that.”

Crash Landing on You [Part 1] Hunter x reader
Tumblr media
Chapter 1
Author’s note: So decided to try out x reader and idk how well I’m doing it… this was also 6 pages long
Word count: 2439
A quiet night rained over your home planet, the soft winds gently pushed the grass of the plains to one side to the other.  In the middle of the plains a small cottage lays there. Surrounded by the woods the empty plains bring peace to you. The soft winds shaking the windows echoed through your small cottage. Soft warm light hugged your face as you stirred your warm milk enjoying the night. Once finished you walk away from the kitchen and enter to your small living room. Settling down on your plush couch putting on an old romcom holovids to finish the peaceful night.
As the romcom holovids plays in the background, you slowly dozed off hoping to end your day in peace.
Silence. Silence as the romcom ended.
Suddenly, you're woken up by a loud sound. The ground shook as “something” hit the surface of your planet. You fell to the floor. The ground shook so hard that items were falling off their shelves or tables. As soon as you recovered from the shock you slowly looked out the window. Suddenly the pitch black night turned into a bright orange hue. Something has crashed. Seeing the flames around your farm, immediately your gut screams at you to check it out. What if it was ship that crashed? Maybe someone is injured? Why is this happening? I know this is a stereotypical horror holovid trope but what if? Not knowing if their sepertist or not, you grabbed your blaster for safety and a small flashlight for light. With a deep breath you headed out to your now flaming farm…

Bad Batch POV
Dogfights are always thrilling for the Bad Batch. The absolute rush of excitement when destroying Vulture Droids that got in their way was the best feeling. Tech was weaving in and out of blaster fire, Hunter manning the guns aiming for the Vulture Droids alongside Crosshair, while Wrecker was helping Tech in co-piloting.
“HAHA!” Wrecker yelled out seeing all the Vulture Droids destroyed around them.
A smile plastered on Hunter’s face hearing the excitement in his brother’s voice. Shooting down the squad of Vulture Droids was easy enough for them, but there was this one lone Vulture Droid. Hunter saw it, and the Vulture Droid came a little too close for comfort. Hunter called it out trying to get Tech to get out of the way. The Vulture Droids took out the back gun, which in turn caused the control panel to short circuit. A loud thud echoed causing Crosshair to look back.
“Hunter?!” Crosshair yelled seeing his Sergeant slumped over the panel. Tech looked back seeing the condition of Hunter.
“Kriff, We lost the engines we’re going down!” Wrecker yelled out.
Tech didn’t pay attention to what Wrecker said all went through his head was Hunter’s safety. Tech appeared at Crosshairs side who was cradling Hunter trying to stop the bleeding. As soon as Crosshair sees Tech appear at his side, Crosshair runs over to the pilot seat with Wrecker trying to get the Havoc Marauder stabilized. Time seems to spot at the moment.
“We’ve breached the planet system” Wrecker called back to Tech who was still busy taking care of Hunter. Tech looked around the ship, seeing the incoming planet come closer and closer. As they entered the atmosphere of the planet. The pitch black void swallowing the Havoc Marauder.  With a last ditch effort Wrecker and Crosshair tried to pull the nose up to lessen the impact. Allowing the Havoc Marauder to skid across the black void of the planet.
Wrecker kicked down the door helping Hunter off the ship, with Tech and Crosshair close behind. Wrecker carefully set down Hunter on what is now seen as plush grass. Once everyone was accounted for the Bad Batchers all took a sigh or relief and collapsed on the plush grass.
The small peace of quiet was easily enjoyed, Crosshair stared at the sky seeing the many stars littering the sky. Tech was too busy tending to Hunter’s wound to worry about his own. While Wrecker was enjoying the soft grass, rolling around letting the grass tickle his face.  The sound of the fire surrounding the Havoc Marauder filling up the quiet sound of the planet. The peace was calming.
Hunter shot up heavy breathing looking around. Scanning the orange hue field. “Hunter, relax, you're severely injured. You have to rest.” Tech placed a stern hand on his shoulder trying to make him lay down.
“No… someone is coming… I can hear it” Hunter grunts looking around trying to see where the sound is coming from. This comment alerts the rest of the Batchers who grab their respective weapon. Aiming at the flamed field. That was until Crosshair pointed out a small light coming their way. Aiming their blasters towards said light, waiting for them to come closer.
As soon as the light came close for Crosshairs sniper range. Tech called out, “Stop right there, don’t move!” The light stopped moving.
Tumblr media
You made your way through the fields making sure to avoid the small patches of fire littered around. Shining your lights around you were able to make out a tip of a ship. A ship that’s where I’ll start!, you thought, moving your way there. As you got closer and closer to the ship, you could make out more of the ship. You could see the cockpit. But there was no pilot. Before you got any closer a voice pierce through the quiet night.
“Stop right there, don’t move!” The voice called out. The voice was so sudden and the tone of the voice made you completely froze in place. While frozen in place so many thoughts ran through your head, are they pirates? Did you happen to stumble onto something you weren’t supposed to see? Is this where you die? All these thoughts screaming at you to run back to your house and call someone for help, but your gut had others plan.
“Are you okay?!” you called out. Oh great this is where you die, you thought. You raised your blaster aiming it in front of you. When you finally were able to see the source of the voice, you were met with about 4 blasters pointed in your way. You saw the men slowly glance at each other before lowering their blasters. In an act of kindness you lowered your blaster as well.
There was a small awkward silence, you took in the group in front of you. A sniper, great I really could’ve died you thought. One thing you did notice is that they had armor. Mandolorians? No, we're too far from Madolore. Or maybe it’s the republic? No no they don’t have the classic white armor like the clone troopers. Plus they don’t even look like clones, you thought. The silence was interrupted with a loud groan. All attention snapped to the one member on the floor.
“Hunter” One of them with strange looking glasses warned. Without thinking, you quickly ran to the other side of the injured men shining your light on his body checking for how bad the injuries are.
“His injuries look serious, he'll need to be properly treated…” you look up meeting eye contact with the one with strange looking glasses noticing the cuts around their face, “and it seems like you and the rest of your crew needs to be treated as well” You got up patting yourself down.
“I have a med kit at my house, you can treat your wounded member there” You offered.
“I don’t know...it would be-”
“We would love to!” The other member bigger than the rest chimed in. The one with strange glasses tried to protest but ultimately failed.
The bigger member picked up the injured member, while the one with glasses grabbed what little was left of their items. While walking back to your cottage you were able to get the names of two of them. The one with the strange glasses was named Tech while the other bigger looking man was called Wrecker. The last member didn’t say anything.
When they entered the house, they were astonished by the interior of your cottage. You guided them to your small living room. Entering your living room Wrecker gently laid the wounded member on the couch, Wrecker started removing his armor to access his wounds. Once you know that Wrecker will be okay you led Tech to the back of  your cottage to grab the med kit.
It was a silence search, Tech just kept to himself while looking for the med kit. You really wanted to ask him questions about him and his men. But the shyness in you really didn’t want to ask someone about their personal life. So you just kept it to yourself and keep looking for the med kit
Tech was the first to break the silence, “Thank you for helping us, really,” Tech said, reaching the top shelf looking for the Med Kit.
“It's nothing, my parents always taught me to be kind to those in need” You smiled looking around the lower shelf.
“It must be nice to have caring parents” Tech mumbled, you could barely hear it.
“Aha, found it!” Tech exclaimed grabbing deep in the shelf, revealing a wooden box with a med kit symbol on it. You got up meeting up with Tech, looking inside to make sure it truly was the med kit. Once it was confirmed it was the med kit, you both nod and headed back to the rest of Tech’s crew.
While walking back to the living room, although a short journey, Tech started to chat with you.
“I never happened to catch your name, may I have the honor of knowing your name?” Tech asked.
“(y/n), my name (y/n)” You responded as you opened the door to the living room.
“Well it’s very nice to meet you (y/n)”
When you two return, the one silent member nudged Wrecker, making him look up. As soon as he saw you with the med kit he gave a big smile. Wrecker took the medkit out of your hands and looked inside for the bacta. When he found it, Wrecker lifted the injured member’s black clothing revealing the wound and started to apply the bacta. The wound looked horrible. It must hurt a lot.
When you saw Wrecker and Tech work on the injured member, and that they would be okay on their own, you walked to your kitchen thinking who these men could be. Why did they crash in your backyard? As you were thinking about these questions you grabbed three small bowls. You looked through your pantry finding something to give them. You found a bag of crackers your mom made, setting them on the bowl and pouring out fresh cream cheese. While you were setting up the bowls,  you were greeted by an unfamiliar presence. Scared you quickly turn around, only to be greeted by a Tall man, the only member who never talked.
“Oh! Is there anything you might need?” You asked, stepping closer to him. He shook his head while looking around at your kitchen.
“Here,  I thought you guys might be hungry so I made you guys some snacks” You handed him the plate. Before he could say anything you head over to the living room.
“Thank you?”
You made your way to the living room, avoiding all the medical supplies littered around your floor. You set the two bowls down on the coffee table. Once Wrecker finished bandaging the wounds, he immediately started to eat the snacks, complimenting you on how good these were.
“Guessing from the somewhat burning ship outside of my backyard, you guys need a place to stay?” You asked facing towards Tech.
“Yes, but we overspent our welcome. We'll leave once our sergeant's wounds are somewhat healed” Tech responded while eating the crackers you gave him.
“WHAT?! No that won’t do,” you looked out the window seeing your barn through the orange hues, “I’ve decided you all shall stay here till you are all fit and ready!” You smiled triumphant hoping for a round of applause. That didn’t come.
“We don’t want to intrude” Tech spoke first.
“Yeah you were already kind to us, we didn’t want to bother you more” Wrecker spoke next.
“It’ll be rude,” the final one said.
“No no no, don’t worry about it! If you're really worried about it, I have a barn in the back you can sleep in”  You proposed. This turned gears in all of their heads. They all whispered to each trying to come to an agreement. Once one is made, they all turn to you.
“Are you SURE sure?” Wrecker whispered
“Yes I'm SURE sure” you whispered back.
“If it’s really okay with you,” Tech took a minute and then sighed,  we’ll take up your offer”
“That’s lovely to hear, the barns out back and you can make yourself at home” You pointed out to the small barn close to your house.
“Thank you (y/n)”
Tech, Wrecker and the silent man all got up, grabbed their stuff that was neatly placed on the floor, thanked you for your generosity, and headed out to the barn. Now you were left with you and the injured member.
You slowly turned around to see the injured man sleeping peacefully. You were able to fully take in what the injured member looked like. His hair scattered around his face. You leaned closer to see the tattoo that seems to take up half of his face. As you lean in a little close, you were greeted by dark brown eyes. The injured man jerked up bonking your forehead in the process.
“Ow ow ow…” You muttered, rubbing your forehead.
“Who are you and where are my brothers-” The man spoke, but was cut off when he took in his surroundings. After looking around a bit finally landing on you, his stare lingered on a little bit.
“Well I’m (y/n), and your brothers are fine and not injured” You smiled. The injured man tried to get up but failed due to the intense pain. You walked over and gently laid your hands on top of his settling him back down on the couch.
“But you on the other hand… need some rest” you said. The injured man looked down at your hand that was gently placed on top of his.
“I guess you're right cyar’ika” He smirked.

[Image Description: A gif of Ethan (Crankgameplays) edited to be spooky with multicolored layers. He leans towards the camera and speaks ominously.]
You’d started out with nerves of steel.
Ghosts weren’t real. You knew that.
It’s an old house, and you have an overactive imagination. That’s what you told yourself, over and over again, even once it stopped making sense. But there’s only so many times you can catch things moving on their own, or you could hear that distant voice, before you started to get a little tense. So when you finally hit your limit, you turned to your friends, bringing them to the house in the hopes that they could confirm what you’d been seeing. Or not.
“Okay, before we go in, here’s the plan. We don’t talk about it.” You started, keeping Vi and Eric on the stairs. “Because I think if it knows that I told you about it, it won’t do anything. Like, try to make me look crazy.”
“You do look a little crazy right now.” Violet quipped, nudging you further up the stairs. “Come on, we get it. Act normal, pay attention, let’s get ghost hunting.”
“Ugh, please don’t call it that.” You unlocked the front door, stepping in with your friends following right behind you.
You tossed your keys onto the counter, and the sudden noise was all it took to make Eric yelp. You and Violet both turned to look at him, seeing him cover his face with his hand. “Sorry...”
You sighed, already close to giving up on this plan. You were pretty sure the so-called ghost didn’t even have to do anything. Eric was so nervous and Violet was so excited about this whole thing that they’d probably make up their own ghost story by the time you finished painting the office.
But you trudged forward, bringing them upstairs and getting to work.
You dug your speaker out of the closet, putting some decent music on and leaving it in the corner of the room. Eric pried the paint can open and Violet started lining the room with painting tape. For the first time in a long time, you were all stuck in an uncomfortable silence. waiting for something to happen.
But the day went off without a hitch. It was late in the evening when you finished painting the walls and your friends got ready to leave. “You know, if this was your way of trying to get free labor out of us, fair play to you.” Vi joked, slinging her bag over her shoulders at the door. “But honestly, I’m kind of bummed.”
You shook your head. “I swear I wasn’t, guys. I’m sorry. God, I feel like I’m losing my mind.”
Eric came up behind you, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. “Hey it’s alright, you can- well I mean if you want you can stay with us for-”
Before he could finish, he was interrupted by a small thud and a clattering sound coming from the room right above you, the office. All three of you looked up at the ceiling, then at each other, before making a quick pace back upstairs. You flicked the light back on to see that the half-empty bucket of paint you’d left was now on it’s side, and the color of the floor now matched the walls.
“...Dude, this thing is an asshole.” Vi said bluntly, earning a quiet plea from Eric not to make it mad.
“I knew it! I told you! There’s no way this shit just happens, right?” Despite the fact your floor was ruined, you couldn’t help but get excited. “I mean it’s ridiculous but this happens all the time.”
“Okay, this is going to get even cooler, beeecause...” Vi grinned, pulling her bag back around and digging through it until she found what she was looking for, something wrapped in a beige cloth. “Guess what I brought.”
You watched her unwrap what turned out to be a planchette, which had been wrapped in what turned out to be a cloth Ouija board. Eric coughed nervously, taking a small step back towards the stairs, “I actually uh..I can’t stay, I sort of have a-a doctors appointment! Yeah, that. That’s what I have to get to.”
“It’s seven at night.”
“Yeah, um...it’s therapy. You know, they stay open late and...yeah.” And with that Eric excused himself from any further ‘ghost hunting,’ fleeing out the front door. Before you could also object to the idea of talking to the ghost, Vi grabbed your hand and pulled you along to the living room.
“Do you have any candles?” She asked, kneeling down on the floor and spreading out the Ouija board.
“I have a couple scented candles we could light, I guess...” You shrugged and went around collecting them. You started to say something more but stopped to rethink it. This was ridiculous. Lighting candles for a ouijia board? Acknowledging any of this ghost nonsense felt silly enough to you, just a couple months ago stuff like this was all a big joke to you. But what other explanation could there be for everything you had experienced? Maybe you should have done a bit more research, set up a camera or-
“Y/n?” Vi called out from the floor, pulling you out of your thoughts.
Swallowing your pride, you brought the candles and a matchbox over and kneeled across from her. “So since when are you interested in all this, anyway?”
“What, ghosts and stuff?” She stayed quiet for a moment as she helped you set the candles up on either side of the two of you. “I dunno, I guess I’m just starting to notice that maybe...things aren’t as they seem. Kind of like you. But I actually find it fun. So, are you ready to do this?”
You nodded. “I guess so...” Placing your fingers on the planchette, you took a deep breathe before you started. “Hello?”
“Hello? That’s all you’ve got?”
“Shush.”
“I’m just saying, maybe-” “It’s my house that’s haunted so-”
HELLO
You both fell silent again, glancing up at each other. She looked like she might explode from excitement and you had to fight the urge to roll your eyes. Then, you kept going. “My name is Y/n, this is my friend Violet.”
I  K N O W
“What’s your name?”
The planchette began to move again, but this time rather than settle on any letters or even move towards ‘No,’ it moved to a blank patch of the cloth.
Furrowing your eyebrows, you waited for any movement, but it didn’t come. “Do you have a name?”
D O  N O T  R E M E M B E R
‘Oh.’ You felt a pang in your heart at that.
Vi pouted a little, her head tilting to the side. She was the next to ask something. “What are you?”
G H O S T
“Alright-”
M A Y B E
“...Maybe?”
D O  N O T  R E M E M B E R
Chills ran down your spine. That was not a comforting thought. “Is there anything else in the house with us?”
NO
“You’ve really been scaring my friend, you know.” Vi said, looking cautiously around the room as she spoke.
I  K N O W
It took everything you had to keep your shaking hands on the planchette. “Do you want me to leave?”
Nothing happened. You waited, your heart pounding out of your chest. The sun had officially set, making the house pitch black aside from your little pocket of candlelight. You could almost make out a shadow over the board, it’s source seemingly coming from behind you. You didn’t dare mention it. “Do you want to be alone here again? Because I’d understand that.”
Even more dead silence.
Violet let out a sharp sigh, taking one hand off the planchette, despite your objection, to rub her temple. “Are you still there?”
YES
“I just want to understand why you’re doing this.” You said, much quieter than you meant.
S O R R Y
“You’re sorry?”
S T A Y
“But...what?”
You and Violet sat there for another thirty minutes, asking questions and waiting for answers that never came. The spirit was apparently done talking. “Alright, well...” Violet stood up, putting her bag back on.
“What? Wait, I don’t get any of this. What do I do?” You began to panic, not entirely sure if you should be leaving the board yet.
“You can have the board, keep trying tomorrow, I don’t know. Look-” Her tone was coming off uncharacteristically harsh now, as she avoided your eyes. “My head is splitting, think it’s all the candle fumes. I’m gonna breeze off, good luck though.”
You squinted at the door when it hit you what she said. "Breeze off?” Shaking it off, you turned your attention back to your unusual roommate. “Okay, I’m going to call it a night I guess. I have paint to clean up so,” You moved the planchette to ‘Goodbye,’ taking your hands off and being seconds away from blowing out the candles when it moved all on it’s own.

———-
“Come on talk to me.” Diego kept pressing on, trying to catch up to you as you rushed to the passenger seat with your arms crossed over your chest, still very much pissed on the stunt he pulled earlier today. Yes, you understood that he didn’t really like his father, but what he did, the fight he got in with his brother was uncalled for and disrespectful. If he wanted to fight couldn’t he have done so any other time? Or at least just have listened to you and the rest of his siblings to stop? “Look I’m sorry, I know it was wrong and I’m sorry, please talk to me.”
You stop in front of the car door with your hand hovering over the handle and meet his pleading gaze to finally speak. “You’re unbelievable, one thing is hating your father but the other is fighting with your brother while they tried to have a nice memorial after they told you to stop! Not only that but you hurt your brother too.”
“It was an accident.” Diego interjected, trying to defend himself.
You huff and open the car door and go inside before slamming it and sighing louder as he climbed onto the driver's seat. “It doesn’t matter—” just before you could say more the sound of Klaus opening the car door cuts you off whilst also making Diego sigh and look away from you.
“Hey! Diego.” Klaus says as he climbs in the back not hesitating to continue, “I’m sorry did I interrupt something?”
You shake your head and mutter, “no.”
While Diego says the opposite. “Yes.”
Not like it mattered, Klaus seemed persistent on staying and switching the subject. “You know every time I close my eyes, I see a diarrhetic hippo about to shit on my face. It’s terrifying!”
Diego starts the car and sighs, “terrific.”
——
“So, how long have you been with Diego?” Diego’s brother, Klaus asks from the back seat, his kid like curiosity lacing in his voice.
You look away from the man you were talking about out by the water and look to Klaus through the rear view mirror. “A couple years.”
Klaus pulls himself off the seat and pulls himself closer to you, “and no ring yet?”
You scoff but can’t help the laugh that leaves you, “no, not yet.”
“Well,” he continues in a serious tone, “I say if he doesn’t propose by this year, just break up with him. Just get rid of the tension he gives off.”
You answer with a lighthearted scoff and leave his comment unanswered. You knew it was just a temporary thing, this “tension” as Klaus mentions wasn’t going to last forever, it happens, Diego has a way to get under your skin more than once, but it never leads to a big break up. You loved that man, the thought of not being with him saddedned you already, you can’t even mention what it would be like without him.
“Yoo-boo, Diego! I hate to rush you through any kind of brooding moment you might be having, but come on man, we’re starving!” Klaus comes back into the car and exhales deeply, muttering to himself or...someone? “I’m craving...eggs.” He clicks his tongue, “no! Wait, it's too late for eggs. Waffles. Huh? You like waffles, right?”
Your lips part in confusion to his quiet muttering, watching him talk to himself through the rear view mirror. “Everyone likes waffles.”
Your eyebrows furrow and you choose to question him even if you were hesitating to actually know. “Uh—”
“Y/N, this is detective patch, we need you to come for work. Gunshots were reported on the 400 block of Milton Avenue, Griddys Doughnuts.”
You sigh but have no choice to answer. Work was work. “Okay I’ll be there.” Opening the car door you like your head out and groan softly before speaking to Diego. “Hey, Diego, could we leave! They need me at work!”
He turns around and you swear you notice a small smug smile. Because of course the sound and idea of doing something he’s not supposed gets him excited.
“Diego, thank you for joining us, we have decided on, drum roll, waffles.” Klaus finally speaks up to an actual existing person.
“I’m gonna drop you off at the bus stop. I gotta get back to work.”
“What, breaking bones and cracking skulls?” Klaus chuckles softly.
“Saving lives, baby.”
You scoff. “You’re going to work?”
His head turns to you and he nods, “we.”
“You’re not supposed to be at crime locations Diego, you’re going to get in trouble one day.”
He shrugs and smiles, “you’ll get me out.”
Rolling your eyes you turn to look out the window and hide your threatening smile right as you also added what you’ve been meaning to say since he came here. “we’ll talk after work.”
——
Truthfully you hadn’t planned spending so much time at work like you did for the past two days, but it was also something inevitable since out of nowhere these nameless people in kids masks have shown up. Causing nothing but trouble and late nights, keeping you from doing the simplest thing like talking to your boyfriend.
At Least you had time now and hopefully those people in kid masks were going to show up to ruin the day.
“Hello, Pogo, is Diego here? He said he was going to be here today?” You ask the...ape at the door.
Pogo nods and moves to the side to let you walk in, “you’re welcome to look for him inside. He’ll be around somewhere.”
You smile and respond with a soft thank you before you walk up the stairs, walking slowly and examining the area, noticing the silence that basked every square inch of this enormous place. Beginning to feel anxious about not finding Diego anywhere you looked, recalling on the phone call from before, not remembering if he said he’ll be here at this house or at your apartment...shoot.
Maybe now that you’re thinking about it he said he was going to be actually home—
“Y/N, you’re finally here.”
Oh good.
Stopping as he walked out of one of the many halls you nod, “finally managed to get out of work, I came here as soon as I could. To talk.”
“Good, come on, we can go to my room.” Diego takes your hand and pulls you with him, guiding you to a small room with nothing really to it but a bed and a couple pieces of furniture, looking boyish as well. You couldn’t help but laugh.
“Wow, it’s about time you brought me to your room. It feels like I’m a teenager again.” You chuckle, “should I sit at the edge of your bed and just awkwardly sit there and look around?”
Diego chuckles and takes a seat on his bed, making you sit beside with the same amused smile that falls as he talks about the subject that had been put on hold. “I want to say I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t have acted like that. I stepped out of line, I should’ve respected the funeral no matter what he did.”
You sigh and interlock your fingers with his, glancing down at your intertwined hands for a brief moment before you met his gaze. “It’s not just that Diego, it’s the fact that you acted like that with your siblings. And I know it’s not my business, but you could’ve hurt him worse than you did and you have to understand that everyone has different thoughts of your father. Yes he may have treated you all the same, but it’s obvious some more than others are more attached. Just,” you inhale and exhale deeply, “just don’t do anything that you’re going to regret, I know you love them and I know if something happens to them you’re going to regret it and blame yourself.”
He sighs and nods, “yeah I know. Thank you for sticking around.”
Leaning your head on his shoulder you whisper, “always.”
He kisses the top of your head before he rests his own head on top of yours, staying exactly in that position for a moment longer until he pulled you to follow him in search for something he didn’t get to explain as you exited out the hall, their in end of the hall were two people in masks.
Of course they had to ruin the day.
The moment they saw you, their guns rose and they began shooting, catching Diego and you off guard for a split second until he threw his knives their way and then pulled you to hide behind a wall.
“Are those the same people running around the city?!” You pant.
Diego peeks head over the wall but answers regardless, “yeah I think so. Stay here they’re coming.”
“What?” You snap in a sharp whisper, “but I can help—” before your sentence was fully finished Diego ran forward and began to attack the one with the bear mask, twisting its arm and taking its gun and throwing it to the aside, beginning to do all types of moves that barely worked since it was such a big person. The only thing that worked was when Diego kicked them back, again taking your hand to pull you with him.
“Hey, you know maybe you could use your fire to attack them!” Diego suggested over his shoulder.
You scoff, “do you want me to burn your house down?”
“Jump!” Out of sudden Diego jumps off the second floor and lands on the couch, waving you over until you do the same. Hearing footsteps approach shortly after the both of you hid behind the couch, hearing shooting moments later they heard the smallest movement and didn’t stop until two others seemed to appear too; punching and kicking them, groaning and grunting as punches and kicks were thrown.
Sounds that finally let Diego and you jump out and help Allison being choked by the person in the bear mask until Luther came and threw them out of the room with ease.
“Who are these guys?” Allison asked in the short moment of peace.
“You’re welcome.” Luther then cut her off to talk to Diego.
“I was doing fine.”
“Oh, yeah, you really had them—”
“Ever hear of a rope—a—dope?”
During the argument the shooting began again and you threw yourself behind a couch, hiding your head until it stopped and you were able to move to hide behind the bar, waiting anxiously for the person who was in here to walk out. Being surprised as you heard, Diego’s other sister, Vanya enter the same room. Her pained grunt making you get out of hiding and throw a fireball at the bear mask; the action distracting them and letting you get Vanya without a second thought to take her to hide close by. Not wanting to do more for her sake.
Waiting in silence for what seemed hours until Luther rounded the corner, looking completely different than before. Almost ape like.
“Y/N! Hey, are you okay?” Diego asked in concern as he came to stand before you, his eyes studying your face and body for any wounds.
Nodding you respond with the same question he had asked. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah.” Diego then presses a small kiss on your lips before he pulls away and his eyebrows furrow deeply on his face. “Shit. Mom.” Without saying more he rushes up the stairs, leaving you to follow even if he didn’t ask. Staying behind nonetheless as Diego approached her and asked her about what had gone on, receiving answers that visibly upset him and made him go quiet for a moment that you took to walk up behind him. Meeting his gaze and grabbing his shoulder as he began to take his mother’s hand and his breath began to shake.
“Diego? What are you doing?” Grace asked as she watched like you were, Diego cut her arm, showing capables that run under her skin and blue thick liquid that spilled out like blood.
“It’s gonna be o—” Diego cried and stuttered.
“Remember what we worked on. Just picture the word in your mind.” His mother didn’t hesitate to interject sweetly.
“It’s gonna be okay…..mom”. He then moves his hands to switch something off inside her, causing the beeping blue lights to stop and her whole body to begin to shut down. Causing Diego to cry harder and you to embrace him tightly from behind, feeling your own tears fall down your cheeks.
“Di—e—go...re..mem...ber.” Not a second to spare later, her eyes glowed blue until they didn’t show at all. Leaving Diego in a stunned and emotional state that he took to grab your arms wrapped around him and cry a moment longer.
You try to hide your crying to assure him, to be the support he needed. But it was hard to be strong when he cried, he usually never did. “I’m so sorry, Diego.” You proceeded to whisper by his ear, kissing the side of his head before whispering again. “I’m so sorry.”

“i’m gonna keep you alive whether you like it or not!” poe dameron
pairing: poe dameorn x medic reader
summary: poe enters the medical wing half-dead and you have to deal with the aftermath of a failed mission
word count: 1′039
warnings: bad writing done at one am, I really don’t like this idk why I’m posting it
requested: nah
You were just finishing the stitches on a man's head when he walked in. Actually, 'limped in' or 'was walked in' was probably a better way to describe it. Jessika was the only thing holding him up as she stumbled to the infirmary's front door. Your inhaled sharply and ripped your gloves off before rushing to her. You wrapped Poe's free arm around your shoulder and helped his teammate lie him down on a free bed. You frowned down at the unusually silent brunet beneath you. You raised your head to ask Jess what had happened but she was already out of the room. You pulled on a fresh pair of gloves with a sigh and got to work.
"You're never this quiet, " you noted, "did something happen?" Silence. Pulling up a stool to sit next to the pilot after gathering everything you would need you brushed Poe's hair out of his face, examining the large gash more closely. You accidentally placed your hand on his abdomen and heard him groan in pain. "What the-" How were you only seeing the huge cut now? You cut his uniform open and pushed each side apart, staring at the large slash going across his ribs. White and yellow pus was beginning to gather near the sides. It was getting infected and you had to act quick. You started fussing around, getting some disinfectant on the wound all while cursing the gods above.
"No," Poe's bloody fingers wrapped around your wrist. "What is it?" you asked, frowning in confusion. He shook his head and pulled your wrist away from his cut. "What, no, I have to take care of this, it's already infected, Dameron," you yanked your hand out of his grasp and continued to wipe away at the wound. It was now clean. He would need a few stitches, though. "No," he repeated, louder this time, as you threaded the needle, "leave it," he grimaced. "Leave it? I can't leave it, it won't get better," you argued. The man nodded blankly. "Good, I don't want it to get better,"
It was only then you saw the way his eyes were shining. Tears. You placed a large patch on the cut, it could wait a while. You sat down on the stool and got closer to Poe. You took off your gloves. "What happened?" you asked softly, staring into his eyes. He blinked away tears and avoided looking at you. "I-" his voice broke, "I couldn't save them," You let out a long sigh, running a hand through your hair. An unsuccessful mission. It happened. And every time, Poe would come back like this. He would have fought almost to the death and still think there was something, anything he could have done that would have magically saved everyone. "Dameron," you rested a hand on his forehead, leaning closer to him, "it's okay, we've talked about this," you whispered. Poe's head jerked in your direction, eyes angry. "How can you say that? How is any of this okay? It's not! People are dying, Y/N!" he exclaimed, cheeks reddening with anger. You closed your eyes for a second, feeling your own temper rising inside of you. "Poe, I'm not saying that it's okay, I'm just saying that-" "It happens? That's life? What's one more, right?" he spat, each word pushing into your heart like a nail. "I'm saying you can't save everyone, Poe," you spoke, jaw clenched as you sat up in your seat, leaning away from him. "I can bloody well try!" he snapped. You shot up, your stool rolling away behind you, and pulled your gloves back on. Poe lay his head back down, sighing loudly. You ripped the patch off and started threading the needle once again.
"I said I don't want you to treat it," he muttered. You ignored him, your muscles tensing as the wound started bleeding profusely. He was using too many muscles getting angry at you, or rather at himself and it was bad. "I can't just leave it like this, it's bleeding again," you retorted, getting started on the first stitch. He grunted and tried to sit up. "I can refuse medical treatment!" he roared. You easily pushed him back down. "Poe, you're not thinking straight. Sit down, you're making this harder than it already-" "Y/N, I said I don't wanna get it treated! I don't see why I should live when none of them did!" he yelled. "Poe-" "No! It's all so easy for you to say! You tried your best! It's alright! It happens! You can't save everyone, Poe! You'll do better next time! You don't see it! THEM! YOU DON'T SEE THEIR VILLAGES BURN DOWN! WHOLE TOWNS! CIVILIZATIONS! HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE DYING! WHY SHOULD THEY DIE? WHY SHOULDN'T I WHAT MAKES ME SO MUCH BETTER THAN THEM?" "I'm gonna keep you alive whether you like it or not," you snapped. You were now on the third stitch. One more and it would all be over. He collapsed back on the bed, exhausted by all the screaming. You pursed your lips as you finished your fourth stitch. He was cursing into his arm, tears trailing down his face. His misery made your eyes water. You cleaned the wound and wrapped a bandage around his torso.
You got rid of the gloves, washed your hands and returned with a glass of water. "Here," you handed it to him. He took it with a weak 'thank you'. "You think I don't see death, but look around you. This isn't paradise, Poe. People come in here and never come out. You think I don't see that? You think I like being the only one who knows someone's last words because no one else was around when they passed? I try to comfort you Poe because if we settle on a fail, we'll never get a win. I can save more people with a positive mind. I can't save people if I'm hung up on one patient's death. But just because I'm not hung up on it doesn't mean it's forgotten or that I don't care about it," "Y/N, I-" "You can come find me when you're healed and ready to apologize,"

Save Tonight
A/N: This was inspired by “Save Tonight” by Eagle-Eye Cherry. I’ve had that song on repeat for DAYS so I figured why not! This is also my first Star Wars fic! I hope y’all enjoy. (Flash backs and inner though will be in italics).
Pairings: Poe Dameron x Mechanic!Reader
Warnings: Language
Word Count: 2,250
Go on and close the curtains Cause all we need is candlelight You and me, and a bottle of wine To hold you tonight (oh yeah) Well we know I'm going away And how I wish, I wish it weren't so So take this wine and drink with me And let's delay our misery
Poe remembered the day he met you. He got up early that morning to give his X-Wing a good look over after the rough patch he had gone through the night before. He wasn’t much of a mechanic, but he could get the job done. He took a step into the hangar and there you were. Grease suit tied around your waist; white t-shirt stained from your using it as a rag. Your hair in a double braid down your back, elbows deep in the engine. He had never seen a more beautiful sight. At least he thought that until he saw you smile. He had to steady himself on a nearby fuel container before he doubled over completely.
“Hey! Sorry to scare ya, I’m Y/N.” You said, sliding off the side of the craft and down to the hanger floor. You grabbed a rag out of your pocket to wipe away some of the grease before offering your hand.
“And I’m...”
“Poe. I know.” You flashed that smile again. Maker, he could have kissed you right then and there. He had never thought his name could sound so beautiful but there it was.
And here he was. Standing at the door of your room like an idiot. It had been almost two years since that first meeting and nothing about the way he felt about you had changed. He had teased, dropped hints but you never seemed to get the message. There had been a time when he tried to get you off his mind but he just couldn’t shake his feeling for you. He had been almost convinced you would never feel the same way until about a week ago.
One Week Earlier
“Finn! I’m serious! You can’t tell anyone, not even Rey.”
“Y/N, I’m sorry to tell you but everyone already knows.” Finn gave you a cheeky grin that made you want to slap him. There was no way anyone knew how you felt about Poe. He was your best friend and had been for the last two years. You had done an amazing job at keeping your secret. Well, you thought so anyway.
“What do you mean everyone already knows! I’ve literally never told anyone. Shit, I've barely even admitted it to myself.” That was completely true. Poe would never feel for you in any way other than a friend and you were okay with that. You just weren't ready for everyone to rub it in your face.
“Whatever you say Y/N/N, I’m just telling you what I know.” Finn threw his hands up in mock defeat.
“Whatever, Finn.” You said, sticking your tongue out at him as you walked past and into the hanger.
“Finn! Finn did she just...” Poe came around the corner, catching his friend by the arm.
“Did she just say what I think she did?”
“Maker, Poe. You both really are so blind!” Finn rolled his eyes, putting his hands on his hips. “You two just need to get your shit together. I’m tired of this!” Finn threw his hands up in real defeat this time.
“I know, man. I know. I just don’t know how to tell her.” Poe ran his hand down his face. He had to tell her.
“You have to tell her. Soon.” Finn grabbed his friend by the sholders, shaking him gently.
“You’re right. I will, soon. I promise.”
Save tonight and fight the break of dawn Come tomorrow, tomorrow I'll be gone Save tonight and fight the break of dawn Come tomorrow, tomorrow I'll be gone
Well, Poe. It’s now or never. He took a deep breath and knocked.
“It’s open!” Your muffled voice came from deep within the room. Poe punched in your security code and stepped through the sliding door. You turned to see him, still wearing your grease suit.
“Hey, handsome! When did you get back?” You grabbed your friend in a hug and gave him a good once over. “You take any damage this time?”
“No, thankfully. I’m fine.” Poe said, giving you a soft smile.
“I was talking about the X-Wing! I worked way too hard on that motivator for you to fuck it up again!” You said, winking at the taller man.
“Ha-ha, you’re so funny.” Poe said in with a fake laugh. He was so nervous. Get it together, Poe. “Anyway, you busy tonight? I’ve got a debrief in about 20 minutes but after I thought we could do something. Maybe take a speeder out to the edge of the base and hang out? Just you and me?”
There was a twinkle in his eyes that you couldn’t place. Something about him was different today. He had more of a spring in his step but he almost looked nervous.
“Sure. That’ll give me some time to shower and change. Meet you back here after the brief?”
“Sounds perfect.” Poe smiled then and pulled you in for another hug. “See you in about an hour?”
One Hour Later
After scrubbing most of the grime and grease from your body, you climbed out of the shower feeling relatively clean and refreshed. You stepped into your room, letting your y/c/h fall out of your towel. After pulling on a pair of black leggings and a grey tunic, you slipped on your favorite boots and a light jacket. Swiping on a bit of mascara, you let your hair fall freely over your shoulder, opting to wear it down instead of in your usual braids. Something felt different about tonight but you couldn’t put your finger on it. Taking a look at your data pad, you realized there was a comms message.

--------- Dameron, Poe
Y/N/N,
Running late, explain later. Meet me in the hanger at 22:00. Bring caf, please.
P.D.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's a log on the fire And it burns like me for you Tomorrow comes with one desire To take me away (oh it's true) It ain't easy to say good-bye Darlin' please, don't start to cry Cause girl you know I've got to go (oh) And Lord I wish it wasn't so
Running out the door, you had just enough time to get the caf before getting to the hanger.
“He, Y/N. Sorry about the short notice.” Poe called to you as you walked through the hangar. He was leaning against a borrowed speeder, a blanket draped across the seat.
“Everything alright? I got here as quick as I could.” You walked up to the taller man, handing him a cup and taking a seat in the speeder.
“Yeah, um. Actually, no.” Poe climbed into the speeder, turning to look at you full on. “There’s something I need to tell you but I want to show you something first.”
15 minutes later you were on the farthest outskirts of the base. There was a small clearing, mostly made of scrubby brush and a few spindly trees. Above the clearing, however, was the most incredible light show you had ever seen.
“Poe, what is that?” you stared up in amazement. It was like the stars were playing tag across the night sky. Zig-zagging and blinking back and forth, changing every color and then back again.
“They’re native to the planet. Completely harmless and virtually undetectable during the day but at night. Well, they do this.”
The whole time you were staring at this mesmerizing light show, Poe couldn’t do anything but look at you. The way your eyes sparkled as the colors danced across the sky, your lips slightly parted as a soft smile spread across your face.
“Beautiful.” Poe said aloud. He couldn’t help himself.
“It is. I’ve never seen anything like this in my whole life.” You said, turning to look at him.
Poe stepped closer, filling the space between the two of you.
“Y/N, I didn’t just bring you out here to show you this. I need to tell you something.” Poe took both of your hands in his. His heart felt like it was going to explode right out of his chest. He took a deep breath.
“My debrief earlier, the reason it went over. We’ve been sent on a new recon mission starting first thing in the morning. I leave at first light.”
“Okay, and you brought me all the way out here to tell me you want the galaxy’s most incredible mechanic to hitch a ride out with you?” You giggled, squeezing Poe’s hands in yours.”
“I wish it was that simple. No, Y/N...” Poe paused. Why was telling you how he felt so hard?  “I brought you all the way out here to tell you that this mission is different. I’ll be infiltrating enemy lines. I’ll be working on important intel that could help end this war. Leia says it could take up to 5 weeks to get the information.”
“5 weeks? Holy shit, that’s a long time, Poe. Is Finn at least going with you? What about Rey? I...” you were starting to feel a bit uneasy. Why was he doing this? He had gone on long missions before. Just last cycle he had gone on a 3-week recon.
“Poe, what are you not telling me? What's wrong?”
“Hey, hey. Calm down, everything is okay.” He stepped closer, cupping your jaw with his hand and caressing it slightly.  “Rey has to stay here and continue her training. Leia wants her to be almost finished by the time we get back. Chewie and Finn will be with me, yes but I wanted to tell you before everyone else started talking.” Poe shook his head. It was now or never.
“Start talking? Poe what do you mean? What happened at the debrief?” You pulled away from him, suspicion taking over everything else.
“So, I might have asked if we could push our leave time to first light instead of immediately. And the General may or may not have read me the riot act after she dismissed everyone, causing me to be late.”
“Poe, why would you do that?! This mission is obviously super important, why would you...”
“Because, Y/N...” He stepped closer again, taking your hands back in his larger ones.
“Because I wanted to spend possibly my last night here on this planet with the girl of my dreams. Because I couldn’t bear to leave this planet for 5 weeks without telling you how absolutely head over heels in love with you I am. I couldn’t be half way across the galaxy knowing that I was willingly putting myself in harm's way every single day and I never had the balls to tell you how I feel. I’m completely and totally in love and I don’t want to go one single second longer without you knowing.”
You stood there, stunned. Was this a joke? This had to be a joke. There was no way that, Poe Dameron, THE Poe Dameron just said those words to you. But he did and here you are and HOLY SHIT you thought you might faint dead away on the spot.
“Y/N/N, you okay...”
Before he has the chance to finish you grabbed him by the collars and pulled him into you, crashing your lips into his. He wraps his arms around your waist, lifting you to the edge of the speeder. Running your hands up to his curls, you give them a soft tug which pulls a low moan from deep in his throat. Your tongues dance together in perfect synchrony, both of you not wanting to break this perfect moment. Eventually you both pull away, lips swollen from the contact.
“I really thought you’d never say it. I’ve felt the same way about you for so long now but I never even imagined you felt the same way.” You flashed him your signature smile.
“So, you feel the same then?” He asked, a silly grin spread across his face. “Why didn’t you ever say anything? All this time we’ve spent together, all the time I spent trying to get a read on you and never could.” He smiled, kissing your knuckles.
“You’re joking right? You’re asking me if I feel the same. Were you there five seconds ago? Do you not remember that kiss?” You laugh, lightly slapping his chest. “I never wanted to tell you how I felt. I thought it would ruin our friendship. Figured we’ve lost enough due to this war. Didn’t want to make us another casualty.”
“Yeah, I remember. I just want to hear you say it.” He smiled, kissing your lips again. “I understand. I’ve thought those same things all this time but, I don’t know. I just... This time is different. I needed you to know. And I’m overjoyed to know you feel the same.” he smiled that damned smile of his.
“I love you, Poe. I have for a long time. I’m glad to finally let you know that. Ya know, to your face?” You giggled, deepening the kiss.
“So, did you really ask Leia if you guys could leave at first light?”
"I did,” Poe said, “So just get ready for all that teasing that’s heading your way.” He gave you a wink.
Save tonight and fight the break of dawn Come tomorrow, tomorrow I'll be gone Save tonight and fight the break of dawn Come tomorrow, tomorrow I'll be gone

John Murphy Tooth Rotting Fluff *Requested*
Tumblr media
GIF// MOOD MUSIC 1// MOOD MUSIC 2
Warnings: A little cussing, slow burn fluff (so take that as you will)
Word Count: 1911
──────────────────────────────────────────────────
“You’re not allowed to be here,” you told Murphy in a sing-song voice.
“Okay, come on. You’re not even facing me. How could you possibly know I walked in?”
You shrugged your shoulders, placing a vial of medicine on the shelf. You picked up the clipboard and made a tally mark by the name of the serum. Inventory was the least exciting part of your job. Therefore, having frequent breaks to talk to Murphy was a must. He was the only thing keeping you sane.
“Probably because you breathe like a wild boar.”
“I’m not that loud,” he protested. You chuckled as he intentionally made his voice much quieter than it usually was. “What are you doing here, anyway? Isn’t it past your bedtime?”
“It’s like- eight o’clock, Murphy. I’m not seventy years old,” you replied sarcastically. “And besides, Abby asked me to do this.”
“You want to know what I think about that?” You couldn’t help but roll your eyes as you placed another tally mark by the same serum. You turned around to meet Murphy; one hand placed on your hip, the other still holding the clipboard.
“Please, oh wise one. Grace me with your wisdom.”
Murphy smirked at this, raising one eyebrow before speaking. He stepped closer to you, his lips inches from your ear. Murphy wasn’t usually one to be quiet, so you figured this had to be good.
“Abby can go fuck herself.”
“John!” you exclaimed, pushing his chest in order to get him away. He had said a lot of controversial things, but this by far was one of the worst. Abby dedicated her life to saving people and taking care of them. How could he be so hostile to someone who genuinely wanted to make a difference on the Ground?
“What? If she wants this done so badly she can do it herself. I don’t see her in here working overtime.”
“That’s because she’s been answering emergency calls! You know? The actual life-saving part. She doesn’t have time to mess around with the inventory.”
“Every job is important, Y/N. Doesn’t matter how small you think it is,” he pointed out. You nodded your head slowly, having to agree with him. Without the inventory count, Abby wouldn’t know how many people she could save, what she needed to use sparingly, and what she needed to request. Every second that goes by in a threatening situation matters. Not having the medication when needed could be the difference between another day or the end of one.
Murphy strutted towards Abby’s desk, being particularly light on the balls of his feet. He swung his arms around haphazardly, exuding confidence about an action so menial. You let him behave this way. You knew the man inside of that body was not nearly as self assured as he led others to believe.
He grabbed a sheet of paper and a pen and made his way back to you. You gave him a questioning look, squinting your eyes as you noticed he had picked up an inventory sheet. “If I’m going to be here I might as well be useful.”
You mentally agreed with him and went back to work. With the two of you combined, you finished the job in double the time. You were extremely grateful for this and for Murphy’s selflessness. It was one of his best traits that was often overlooked. He took care of the people he loved, almost to a fault. You knew you could depend on him for anything.
When you counted the last bit of inventory for Abby, you took the sheets and placed them back on her desk. Murphy waited for you by the door, curling his lips inward and making popping noises.
“Are you trying to tell me something?” you teased, heading his way.
“Yeah. Put the papers down and let’s go.”
“Alright, alright! No more work for tonight, I promise. No papers, no talk, no nothing. Just you and me.”
“Just what I wanted to hear,” he said as the two of you headed towards the bonfire.
“By the way,” you started, “I appreciate you walking me back to my room, but maybe we should...Not do that.”
“Why?” he asked, tilting his head to the side.
“Well, it’s just- when you come over- my mom asks about you. Every time.” You couldn’t bear to get the words out. Having to have this conversation with your mother was embarrassing enough. Now you had to relay it back to your ex-boyfriend.
“Of course she did. I’m a ray of sunshine.”
“You’re a real pain in the ass,” you corrected, not letting his sarcastic comment go by unnoticed. Murphy snickered at this and ran his fingers through his hair, fluffing it up and letting it fall into an unmanageable mop. He was still a straight ten with every piece of hair sticking out a different way.
“What did you tell her?”
“I don’t know,” you responded shyly. “I guess I just said that we’re trying to work things out. Make sure that we’re going the right way. Trying not to fall back into old habits.”
“And what did she say?” he said, pressing for more information.
“A lot of things. Mainly that she misses you. And she misses who I was with you. Something about me being sad and stuff. I don’t know,” you repeated, your vocabulary shrinking by the second. This is why you hated being nervous.
“Why did we break up?” Murphy eventually asked after a beat of silence. The question almost stopped you dead in your tracks. Ever since you and Murphy decided to patch things up, you hadn’t come to terms with the falling out. You focused more on the future and growing as a couple. You both tried to act like it didn’t happen, that it didn’t affect you. Now was as good of a time as any to address the problem.
You opened your mouth to talk, but Murphy unknowingly interrupted you. “I mean, I know you said that you just needed space and we were going too fast but- what exactly did that mean? I- I kind of made some guesses and have tried to fix us from there but- but I would still like to know.”
Murphy began to trail off, kicking at the dirt as you kept walking. This part of Murphy was completely new to you. He was fumbling over his words, behaving as if he was bashful about the subject as well. You found it oddly comforting and incredibly adorable.
“It just wasn’t the right time for our relationship,” you told him truthfully. “We started becoming different people and needed time to individually grow. We were going into things without thinking about it and then we were fighting all the time and putting bandages over gaping wounds. We needed time to mature.”
Murphy nodded as if he understood. “Well the fighting bit, that was all you.”
Your mouth fell open as you scoffed, pushing him yet again. That was something you had always done to Murphy, regardless of your relationship status. He just seemed to deserve it. “Yeah, right! You can never let anything go, Mr. I’m-done-with-this-conversation-but-I’m-going-to-mumble-about-it-for-twenty-
more-minutes.”
“Details,” he commented, waving his hand in the air as if to swat the subject away. “I’m better at that, though. Right?”
You didn’t respond. Instead, you took his hand in yours, interlacing your fingers together. He didn’t hesitate. In fact, he acted like you two had never stopped holding hands in the first place.
The rest of the walk was silent as you both took time to indulge in each other’s presence. You had missed Murphy. It was only when you were sent to the Ground that you started to reconnect. Prior to that, you avoided each other at all costs. Seeing him was painful and humiliating. Talking to him was even worse.
Murphy stopped a few feet away from your door. He gave your hand one last squeeze before releasing it and forcing a tiny smile. He nodded towards you and went to turn around. You stuck out your arm to stop him.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“To my room,” he responded as if it were obvious.
“Without saying goodnight?”
“I just thought- with your mom and everything-” he tried to explain.
“Well, yeah. But that doesn’t mean leave without saying anything.”
Murphy chuckled and raised his eyebrows. “Can I say a little more than goodnight?” You squinted your eyes out of curiosity but said nothing. Murphy took that as a cue to continue.
“I love you,” he said aloud, “and I know there was a time when I said that and it didn’t mean a whole lot. Maybe it still doesn’t. I don’t know.”
He paused for a moment, eyes searching for the words he couldn’t say. Even as his breathing became labored and his eyes turned blood red, he managed to choke out, “I don’t think anyone has ever loved me. I don’t even love myself. But when I look at you, I- I see everything I want to be. You touch me- and I forget everything that I was. And when you say my name- you say it with purpose. Like- I can one day clear it. Like my name- is finally important to someone. Like it doesn’t have to hurt to be Murphy. If that isn’t love, then I don’t know what is.”
“John,” you whispered, placing your hand over his heart. It was beating rapidly against your palm, much like the constant lurching in your stomach. But as soon as it happened, he took your hands gently in his own. On the tips of your fingers he placed a soft kiss. Your knees buckled and you found yourself leaning on Murphy for strength.
“You don’t have to say anything. Don’t feel like you have to.”
“I love you, too,” you told him quickly.
Murphy let out a breath of relief before leaning down to kiss you. It was something that you had missed but didn’t even notice until now. The way his lips melded perfectly into yours. How delicately he pressed them together, contrasting the abrasive man he wanted everyone to think he was. And the warmth you felt that never ceased to ignite your entire body. You had deprived yourself of this for years.
What were you thinking?
Murphy pulled away from you with a large smile on his face. You couldn’t hide your embarrassment as you put your head down, grinning yourself. Murphy cleared his throat in an attempt to act normal.
“Well- uh- I guess I’ll see you-”
“Tomorrow morning!” a voice interrupted. Your face turned pale as you saw a silhouette standing in front of the main door. You covered your face as Murphy waved to your mother, seeming to be very pleased with himself.
“I’ll be here.”
“Oh, I know,” she replied with a smirk.
“Mom!” you exclaimed.
“Fine, fine. I’ll leave you alone. Ten minutes, then back inside.”
“Yeah, got it. Thanks,” you replied sheepishly.
“Goodnight, John.”
“Goodnight, Ms. Y/L/N.”
With that, your mother went back inside, closing the door behind her. You could have curled up and died on the spot. That soon faded as you heard a soft squeal escape Murphy’s lips. He was never good at holding back his laughter.
“Just like old times, huh?” he asked, amused.
“Just like them,” you said with a smile, “except this time, a lot better.”
**Wow, it has been a while! This was per request, I mixed it with an idea I was already toying around with: your mom keeps asking about Murphy. I thought it would be fun to mash these two together! I hope that everyone is staying safe during these unfortunate times. I’m always here if anyone needs anything!
The mood music is really there just to put you in my mindset and what I was listening to when I wrote this. Of course, completely optional. Just think it’s a fun little tidbit to add!
All my love

Tumblr media
The sweet smells of your workshop swirled around in the air as you bustled around over your cauldron, dropping things in and stirring around every so often. You were focused on the potion that had been taking you months to master. Shrinking potions were always hard to do, anything with changing anatomy was always hard to do. What made things worse was that potions were never your strongest area.
Stirring the lime green substance around you looked around at the shelves around you trying to find the one last ingredient you’d need for this and you’d be sure it would tie this potion all together.
The Water Buffalo’s tooth was placed on the shelf to your left in a transparent pink jar. Keeping an eye on the cauldron you started side stepping in an attempt to reach for the tooth. Your hand remained on the handle of the ladle you were using to stir. Fingertips barely ghosting the jar at all you didn’t know what to do. If you tried levitating it towards you there was a chance you would accidentally release the jar from it’s hold and drop it. If that Water Buffalo’s tooth hits the ground it’s gonna be of no use. You let out a sigh doing something you dreaded to do.
“Namjoon? Can you come help me in here please?” you called.
Every witch had a familiar, yours so happened to be Namjoon. It was bad enough he seemed like he hated you the moment his sharp, slit frosty blue eyes laid on you. He was a dragon too. The most hardest to deal with of all the supernatural beings. Namjoon was stubborn, arrogant and stand offish. You hated having to deal with him for prolonged amounts of time.
The curtain to enter your workshop pushed to the side and in came Namjoon, his grown out purple tresses hung wildly around his face.
“What do you want?” he asked, arms crossed.
“Can you please hand me the Water Buffalo’s tooth, it’s right there on the shelf in the pink jar I just can’t reach it.” you asked. Namjoon snickered at you.
“You can’t just make it fly over to you?” he waved his fingers around mockingly.
“Don’t you think if I could I would. If I do I could risk dropping it. If I drop it I’m going to have to travel just about half way up the mountains again to get another one and I really don’t want to do that.”
“That’s too bad. Figure something out. If you need me, which I hope you don't, I'll be out front handling your store while you squander ingredients trying to be a potions master.” Namjoon turned on his heels and stepped back out of your workshop. You felt a hot tear start rolling down your cheek. Quickly, wiping it away with your free hand. You straightened up, reaching out your hand to summon the tooth to you. Multitasking between that and stirring you looked out of the corner of your eye, watching the jar slowly float to you. The cauldron started bubbling and you looked away from the floating jar. When suddenly you hear the glass shatter, you looked down at the floor where the Water Buffalo tooth laid useless. Fighting back the urge to cry some more. You waved your hand freezing the potion in place. You walked towards the door to your workshop grabbing your cloak on the way out.
Namjoon looked up from the book he was reading. He snapped it close, the sound making you jump and stop in your tracks.
“Where are you going ? Thought you had a potion to finish.” He said.
“I dropped the Water Buffalo’s tooth on the ground, I can’t use it anymore. I’m gonna hike up the mountains to get another one.” You said, pressing the door open to the shop to exit. You were walking down the road in the direction of the mountains. Loud footsteps came from behind you, not even bothering to turn around you knew who was following you.
“Why are you following me Namjoon?” You sighed.
“I can’t let you just go off into the woods alone. Why don’t you let me fly you up there? It's going to take you hours to get up there and that’s if you don’t rest and power through.”
Not many things scared you. That’s something you learned early into your existence. Until you met Namjoon, then you realized heights and Namjoon’s dragon form was two of the only things that truly shook you to the core. Them put together you couldn’t just handle it it was too much.
“I don’t like heights and you know that.” You kept walking forward, dreading the trip up the mountains. A shot of fire blasted straight past your shoulder. You jumped back out of the way, whipping around to look at Namjoon who blew a puff of smoke out of his mouth.
“Namjoon? Are you serious? Did you just try and burn me?” You questioned. Namjoon let out a loud sigh, dropping his shoulders.
“Come on y/n. Please let me fly you up the mountain. I don’t wanna do this walk either! I still have to protect you and assist you. Stop being so damn stubborn.” Namjoon hissed at you.
“Me being stubborn you’ve got to be kidding me.” You shook your head, turning back around to continue walking.
“Y/n if you want you can close your eyes. I fly quickly, we’ll be there before you know it.” He pleaded.
“No Namjoon” you snapped. “I don’t care if my eyes are closed! I don’t care if I had soundproof headphones so I won’t feel the wind rush into my ears! I don’t care if I have on mitts so I won’t feel your rough ass scales on my hands! You’re NOT flying me up the mountain.” You yelled.
“I hate dealing with you.” You heard Namjoon mumble.
“I fucking hate dealing with you too, you aren’t special.”
Tumblr media
Hour One
Somewhere during the first 30 mins of the hike up the mountains Namjoon’s airpods found their way into his ears. His loud rapping filling up the quiet air, annoying you very quickly. You scanned the ground as you continued walking until you saw a small pebble. Stopping in your tracks you picked it up, turning around in one swift move throwing it right at Namjoon’s chest. He flinched back in pain, snatching an airpod out of his ear.
“What the fuck is the matter with you?” His eyes narrowed at you.
“Cut it out with all that loud ass rapping. I don’t wanna hear that shit!” You shouted.
“So what you’re gonna assault me with fucking rocks?”
“If I could levitate a boulder and get away with crushing you to death I would. But I can’t so the pebble will have to suffice.”
“You wouldn’t kill me.” Namjoon said smugly.
“Don’t tempt me.” You stated, sternly. Your cold stare peering into Namjoon’s eyes. He rolled his eyes and looked away. Muttering a soft “Whatever” under his breath.
You continued moving up the mountains and Namjoon resumed rapping out loud.
Conjuring up a pair of earbuds to listen to your music from your own phone. Seeing that your device was on 25% you hoped to the heavens your phone would at least get you the full trip up the mountains. You couldn’t even conjure up a portable charger because you know you would’ve managed to electrocute your hands … again.
Tumblr media
Hour Two
The 25% did not last the complete trip up the mountains. Leaving you once again to listen to Namjoon’s loud rapping up the mountains. Slowly you found yourself getting irritated again. Scanning for another pebble you found a slightly bigger one than last time. You picked it up, tossing it up in your hand a few times to feel the weight of it. You turned around like a pitcher aiming to throw the pebble at Namjoon again, he attempted to dodge it, he missed it but his phone in his hand didn’t. It fell underneath the small rock, the now dark screen had a visible crack in it. You could see the smoke leave Namjoon’s nostrils.
“Y/n” Namjoon hissed. “You did not just do that.”
“Oh, but I did.” You said, in a saccharine tone.
“Why would you do that? You keep acting like a fucking caveman. You could’ve just asked me to stop rapping out loud.” He scoffed.
“I’m acting like a caveman? Says the giant lizard. You’ve got to be kidding me.” You muttered.
“If I’m a giant lizard why are you afraid of me then?” Namjoon taunted.
“I’m not afraid of you. I’m afraid of flying.”
“Well if you’re not afraid of me then I guess you won’t mind if I stretch my wings and trot around then until we get to the top of the mountain then.” You quickly turned around, spotting Namjoon’s blue scales appearing all over his arms.
“CUT IT OUT! I’M SERIOUS!” You yelled. Namjoon started cackling. You felt yourself getting angry. It wasn’t funny that you were scared. You could quite piece exactly why you were scared of Namjoon. But you knew you were and that was enough.
“Namjoon don’t talk to me for the rest of this hike. I swear to the heavens if you don’t you won’t speak again unless I want you to.”
“But y/n come on-“ You turned, waving your hand, binding Namjoon’s lips together.
“That’s enough out of you for now.”
Tumblr media
Hour Three
The rest of the hike up the mountains was pretty peaceful. Quiet and serene, except for the small sounds of nature here and there. Water running in a creek, birds chirping, animals running over leaves. The only non nature sound was the occasional grunt from Namjoon.
Soon you found yourself met right with a board of Water Buffalos. You searched around. The tooth you needed was from a special specific silver Water Buffalo, that made whoever wanted its teeth solve riddles. You found it in the back of the hoard. Bumping in between the Water Buffalos you stood in front of the silver one, taking a bow and waiting for it to speak to you.
“How could I be of service to you child?” the Water Buffalo hummed.
“I need another tooth … please.” You said.
“To receive one of my teeth, you must answer a riddle correctly. You may only have one chance. Are you ready ?” It asked you. You nodded.
“This number added to it's square, and the digits of that summation added together, bring it back to itself. What is it?” It questioned. Your mind went blank and then filled itself with confusion.
“I thought I was supposed to be answering a riddle. Is that a math question?”
“It is indeed a riddle.”
You were stumped. You couldn’t tell if this was going to be one of those twisted riddles that had some philosophical meaning or just one straight forward. You started thinking deeply when that was interrupted by Namjoon’s grunting. You looked at him. He pointed at his mouth in frustration. You waved your hand removing the binding.
“What is it? You better have something useful to bring to the conversation.”
“I have the answer. I do.” He stated, eyes big and his smile wide, deep dimples indenting his cheeks.
“Namjoon, I swear if you say something incorrect and I can’t get this tooth.” You rubbed your temples.
“I’m not stupid. I know this one. I swear, let me answer it.” Your eyes scanned Namjoon’s face trying to see if there was any indication of him lying or being uncertain and you couldn’t see any. You really hoped he didn’t fuck this up.
“Fine answer it. But I swear if you fuck this up I will never forget it. When I finally master this potion I’m going to shrink you down and keep you in a jar for the rest of your days.” You stated, sternly.
“3. 3 squared is 9. 3+9=12. Take the two digits of the summation and add them; 1+2=3. In short; 3-9-12-3. This can also work with the number 0 and 9.” Namjoon said, proudly. Hands on his hips and puffing out his chest like a superhero that just saved the day.
The Water Buffalo hummed in approval. Before opening his mouth and dropping out one single tooth.
“Thank you. Thank you so much.” You smiled, bending over and picking up the tooth. Wrapping it gently in a cloth and placing it in your bag. You bumped your way back through the hoard and started your way back down the mountain.
“So what, you aren’t going to thank me?” Namjoon called from behind you.
“Jesus. Fuck. Thanks Namjoon. Are you happy?” You snapped.
“Yes actually I am. Thank you.”
“You are so annoying I can’t wrap my head around it.”
“Thank you.” Namjoon smiled. You looked at him as he poked his cheeks right in his dimples. You shook your head laughing.
One would say you and your familiar have a dysfunctional relationship. Maybe one day it would change maybe one day it wouldn’t. You’d work through it any way it went.

You barely got a wink of sleep that night. Every time you closed your eyes, you could see Ron's eyes filled with regret. What had been the hottest moment in your entire life was punctuated by Ron wishing it hadn't had happened. Maybe it shouldn't have. Maybe you got carried away and he didn't actually feel any attraction to you. His mind was probably cloudy from it being so late and you just throwing yourself at him in the middle of the night.
A bright light switched on which jostled you out of your thoughts.
"Rise and shine," Hermione sang, seeming very excited for so early in the morning.
"What time is it?" Ginny asked, her voice groggy and her hair a bird's nest.
"About 8am," Hermione replied, already folding her blankets and putting them away neatly. She always liked to wake up early. Maybe that's why she always did so well in school.
Ginny angrily threw a pillow at her as you buried your head back into your blankets with a groan. You didn't want it to be morning. You didn't want to have to walk downstairs and face Ron in the light of day. Again, his face flashed in your mind. Regret.
Hermione threw the pillow back at Ginny, hitting her in the back of the head with surprising accuracy. "Get up, lazybones!"
After 20 minutes of bickering, Hermione had finally coaxed Ginny out of bed. Ginny's room was a whirl of clothes as all three of you got dressed for the day. Your movements were delibertly slow, the thought of having to see Ron making you dread the journey downstairs. But soon enough, you couldn't delay your inevitable fate anymore and the three of you headed downstairs for breakfast.
Usually the smell of Mrs Weasley's famous bacon and eggs was a wonderful greeting in the morning, but this time your joy was dampened when you saw the back of Ron's head sitting at the breakfast table. Pretty much everyone was awake and sitting around the long wooden table, except for Percy and Mr Weasley who were both working.
"Good morning dears!" Mrs Weasley said, plopping a large egg with hash browns onto a plate before handing it to you. Thanking her, you took the plate and turned towards the table. Without making eye contact with anyone, you took the furthest seat from Ron, which happened to be right next to Bill.
"Morning y/n," he said, giving you a closed lip smile as he chewed his breakfast.
Looking up at him, you smiled back politely. He was wearing a black button up shirt with the top three buttons undone. His pale chest contrasted greatly with the dark material, but he made it look good. His dark clothes, long hair, and dragon tooth earring made him look like a sexy vampire. No wonder you had such a big crush on him when you were younger.
"Morning," you replied.
"I heard about your fall during Quidditch yesterday," he said, trying to make casual breakfast conversation. Although you were usually chatty with the Weasleys, your heart was hurting too much to put much effort into talking today.
"Yeah, I did" was all you said.
"Reckon it was Fred or George's fault, huh?" Bill asked with a wink. You laughed lightly but kept your eyes glued to your breakfast. Looking up at the others would only make you want to look at Ron. And if you looked at Ron, and if he looked back with the same eyes from last night....your heart sank at the very thought.
A breakfast roll sailed overhead but Bill caught it in one hand before taking a large bite out of it.
"Good throw," he said to the twins, before turning his attention back to you. "Your cut looks like it's healed up nicely," he commented.
You nodded, "Yeah, Ron helped patch me up."
Just saying his name sent an ache throughout you but you still avoided looking towards his end of the table.
But then you felt someone leaning closer to you, the smell of pine needles filling your nose. It was a pleasant smell, but not as nice as apples and cinnamon.
From under your lashes you looked up to see Bill closing the distant between you rather quickly. Your heart skipped a beat as he raised a hand to brush your hair away from your face.
"Yeah, looks like he did an alright job," Bill said, lifting your hair to observe the healed bump on your forehead.
Second year y/n would have fainted in this moment. Bill Weasley, your first real crush, was leaning across a table to touch you? He was looking at you intently while brushing your hair away from your face? You should have been ecstatic. You should have been sweating from head to toe. But you weren't. Instead, all you could think about is how you wished you were smelling apples and cinnamon instead of pine needles.
"Oi, mate, stop flirting with her or I'll throw up my breakfast," George replied. Laughs erupted from the table and your face burned red.
You couldn't help yourself, your eyes glanced up and you immediately made eye contact with Ron. He was looking between you and Bill, an angry sort of look on his face. You knew he had problems with jealousy, being The Chosen One's best friend came with those kinds of setbacks, but why was he jealous about this? He was the one who regretted everything from last night, not you. An anger boiled up in your stomach, the image of Ron's regretful eyes playing on a loop in your head. Suddenly, you wanted to make him just as hurt as he had made you.
Turning back towards Bill, you put on your most charming smile. "I mean, you can flirt with me if you want to. Not that I'd mind," you said, batting your eyelashes. You were half joking, but half wanting to piss off Ron.
Ginny chuckled as Bill's cheeks took on a slightly warmer color. Fred and George faked puking into their cereal bowls. You looked at Ron and were pleased to see he looked absolutely furious. His knuckles were white from how hard he was gripping his fork.
"Maybe y/n took our missing Amortentia from last night," Fred joked.
Your heart stopped as you turned to face the twins.
"Huh?" You asked.
Fred smiled before he launched into explanation.
"We had a couple boxes of chocolates with Amortentia drops in them in our room. We were planning on putting a few in Percy's morning tea, but when we tried to find them they were gone. Based on your flirting this morning, maybe you had eaten a couple," he said.
You shook your head, a feeling of dread starting to fill you stomach.
"I didn't take them," you responded. But you think you knew who did.
Ron cleared his throat uncomfortably before asking, "Were they in a blue box? With a little pink ribbon around it?"
Fred and George nodded their heads, every head at the table swerving to look at Ron.
Ron swallowed nervously. "Uh, I might've eaten them. Not on purpose though!" He promised, his face looking guiltier by the minute. "I was hungry when I was in your room the other night, so I took a couple of boxes. I didn't know they had Amortentia in them."
"Did you feel any different? Do anything different?" George asked, looking at Ron skeptically. Ron shook his head, and you knew he was trying his very best not to look at you.
Fred swore, which earned a disapproving glare from Mrs Weasley. "That means they're defective. We'll have to make a whole new batch before we can sell them at the shop."
"Or maybe," Hermione interjected, "You shouldn't be selling love potions at all! They are one of the most dangerous potions, and it is clearly wrong to be selling them in the first place. Honestly, didn't either of you pay attention in Potions class?" She looked distressed, obviously very upset that the twins didn't recall the negative side effects of Amortentia that Professor Snape had taught.
"Psh," Fred said, brushing her off with a wave of his hand as the conversation at the table changed. Everyone was talking about their plans for the day, full of ideas of playing Quidditch or Gobstones or maybe even taking a trip to the Leaky Cauldron for lunch. Usually you would join the conversation, but your heart felt like it was cracking in half. The only reason Ron acted the way he did last night was because he was high off of love potion, he didn't actually feel anything for you. He didn't feel the same way you did, and you started to doubt if he ever will. Before tears could form in the corner of your eyes, Mrs Weasley made a statement that drew everyone's attention.
"You will be doing nothing of the sort today. Today you're all going to finish your summer Hogwarts homework," she held her hand up sternly to stop Harry and Ron from protesting, "no if's, and's, or's, or but's!" Her tone let everyone know that her word was final.
Everyone around the table groaned, except for those who had already graduated and Hermione who clapped happily at the mention of school work.
For the rest of the day, you and Hermione sat at the dining table working hard while everyone else half-assed their homework. Ginny and Harry sat on the couch, distracting each other and joking, while occasionally picking up a quill to write. Ron sat alone leaning against a tree outside with his books open but a blank expression on his face. You sighed unhappily as your gaze wandered over to him for the millionth time that hour.
"Okay, what's up," Hermione said, surprising you by setting down her quill and closing her Transfiguration book.
"Nothing," you lied, pretending to write an answer to your Divination homework. But your brain was too scrambled and your heart too heavy to get any real work done at the moment.
Hermione yanked your parchment out from under you to read your work.
"Hey!" You protested, but she started reading your answer aloud anyway.
"What does the moons transit into Venus this month mean for your love life?"  Hermione scoffed. "What a load of crap."
You nodded. Usually your grades were pretty good, not as good as Hermione's, but you were better at Divination. For some reason Professor Trelawney liked you and said you had an "inherently observant third eye." But today, your third eye must have been squinting because most of your homework answers were a little ridiculous.
"You answered with, 'Venus is just a big ball in the sky, therefore it knows nothing of love,' " Hermione gave you a wary look. "I hate Divination and even I know that's not the correct answer."
Shrugging, you grabbed the paper back from her and continued writing bullshit answers. The moon's transit into Venus was supposed to bring abundant love and joy, but right now that felt like the worst prediction in the world. The only boy you cared about couldn't even kiss you, even when he had taken love potion. What does that say about his feelings towards you?
"Y/n, tell me what's wrong," Hermione said, her voice almost as stern as Mrs Weasley's. Something happened with Ron, didn't it?,"
You had been holding in how you felt all day, and it was going to drive you mad. But just at the mention of his name, your emotional dam broke open. Before you could stop yourself, you gushed out everything that had happened last night to Hermione, your voice hitching towards the end when you recalled Ron looking at you with such regret in his eyes.
"Oh, honey," Hermione said, wrapping her hands around yours. "That's hard, but I think the best thing you could do is just talk to him about it." At the moment, you didn't really want to hear Hermione's advice. She was always right, and right now you just wanted to wallow in your self-pity.
She patted your hand, and inclined her chin towards the window, where you could see Ron sitting outside with a puzzled expression on his face.
"He hasn't written anything for the past 20 minutes, he's probably just as confused and upset as you are. Either that or he just started his Potions homework. Either way, just go tell him how you feel, you'll feel better," she promised.
You nodded, thanking her for always giving you the most wise advice. Before you could lose your nerve to do so, you packed up your books and parchment and walked outside. Ron heard you approaching and set his quill in his book before shutting it and setting it beside him. The trunk of the large oak tree he leaned against was thick enough that he didn't even have to move over as you plopped down next to him. The hard bark of the tree pressed into your back but it was comforting to feel something to keep you grounded as you started this tricky conversation.
"Hi," you said, refusing to look at him. His face was turned towards you but you couldn't bring yourself to turn towards him. If you did, you wouldn't be able to stop yourself from kissing him.
"Hi," he replied.
A long silence stretched out into the summer air before you both started talking at the same time.
"I wanted to talk to y-"
"We should probably t-"
Blushing, both of you stopped.
"You go first," you said.
Ron nodded, his hands fiddling with the grass in front of him. He kept pulling at the roots, rolling the grass between his fingertips, and then pulling at the roots again. It was like he couldn't keep his hands still, like he had to be doing something with them. You desperately wanted to reach over and grab his hands in yours, but before you could muster up the courage to do so, he began to speak.
"I wanted to apologize for last night," he said. Your heart dropped. You came out here to tell him you had an amazing time and the only bad part was that you hadn't had the courage to go further, to kiss him. Yet here he was, apologizing. Apologizing as if last night had been a mistake.
"I didn't know I ate Fred and George's Amortentia, so that's probably why I was acting so...funny," he said, trying to find the right word. His voice was low and he was talking fast, like he always did when he was nervous. "So, anyway, I just wanted to say I'm sorry, and it won't happen again."
Your breath caught in your throat.
"It won't happen again?" You asked, desperately hoping that wasn't true. You turned to look Ron in the eyes, and as soon as you did he looked away.
"It was a mistake," he said, his adams apple bobbing up and down as he spoke.
"Oh," was all you managed to say.
And then Ron was standing up. He was standing up, gathering his school things, and walking away. Before you could even register what had happened, he was gone. You watched his retreating figure enter the house as you felt a hot tear slip down your cheek.
A mistake.
The word repeated in your brain and you choked on a sob. All you wanted, all you ever wanted from him was full honesty. And he had given it to you. He didn't want you, not in the same way you wanted him. You had to accept that. You had to.
So you gave yourself 15 minutes. 15 minutes to sit outside, cry, and let yourself be sad about how the boy you loved didn't love you back. After those 15 minutes, you promised yourself, you would walk back into the Burrow and pretend nothing happened. You would pretend Ron hadn't almost kissed you in the bathroom upstairs. You would pretend he hadn't cuddled with you the night he first came back to the Burrow, and you would pretend he hadn't touched you with such passion the night before. You would pretend you weren't deeply, madly in love with him.
You would go back to being best friends, just best friends. And you had to be okay with that, or else you would lose him.

During these “trainings” you learn where the company gets its name from.
(Part2) (Part3) (Part4) (Part5)
Tumblr media
“And another thing.” Your boss, Mr. Park began. “You have to keep your body in the best shape of your life. You’ll be assigned five trainers for... Special training.”
“Five?” You asked, arching a brow.
“You’ll see why.” He said with a wink before standing up. “Your first photo shoot will be tomorrow morning. Oh, and your trainers are other models so you’ll be working rather closely with them.”
“I think I can handle that.” You said with a soft smile.
He stuck his hand out and you both shook hands as he grinned at you.
“Welcome to the Den Of Sin’s, Y/N.”
Your heels clicked on the marbled floor as you made your way into the elevator. A man was already in there, and you shyly walked in beside him. He wasn’t too tall, but taller than you. He wore a black shirt that hugged his chest, a black snap back with his dark brown hair in his face, a face mask, and black joggers.
“Are you new?” He asked, his voice smooth and a little deep.
“Yeah, is it obvious?” You asked with a laugh.
“Just a little.” He chuckled. “Are you Y/N?”
You were a little shocked he knew your name, your cheeks flushing as you nodded. The elevator dinged and he pulled his face mask down, giving you a big, white smile.
“Welcome to the Den Of Sin’s.” He said as he put his face mask back up and walked away.
You watched after him as you walked out of the elevator, an odd feeling in your stomach. You shook it off and walked towards the dressing room, being greeted by the stylist. She pulled you into the room and sat you down as she began to get the make up set up.
“What’s today’s theme?” You asked.
“Sports attire.” She said with a smile.
You nodded as she straightened your hair, before pulling it back into a high pony tail. She tilted your chin up and turned your face side to side before grabbing a concealer and foundation and applying it to your skin. She finished the look off with light eyeliner and natural eye shadow before smiling.
“Beautiful.” She beamed, and you thought she meant more about her work than you.
She sprayed your hair then led you to the closet half, pulling out a work out shirt and tight workout leggings.
“These will make your butt pop.” She said confidently.
You laughed at her words and took the clothing, quickly getting changed. You looked in the mirror, turning and admiring the fact that it did, indeed, make your butt pop. You looked at her and gave her a thumbs up as you followed her out and to the room where the photo shoot would happen. You both walked in step with each other, until you finally turned to her.
“Who am I going to be modeling with?” You asked.
“Han Jisung. He’s gorgeous and has a beautiful smile.” She said with a huge smile. “As you might know, he’s also one of your... ‘trainers’.” She said.
“Ah, I see.” You said.
You both walked into the room and you almost dropped your belongings at the sight in front of you. Standing before you was the man from the elevator, this time with his hair parted. He wore a sleeveless basketball shirt and joggers. A tight chain adorned his neck as he lifted his eyes to you, giving you a smile.
“Finally.” He said.
“You!” You gasped.
He stuck his tongue out at you playfully, putting his hands in his pockets.
“Surprise.” He laughed.
You rolled your eyes and laughed as you approached the props. They were workout props, machines and dumbbells scattered across the area. The photographer approached you both with a smile.
“Ah, hello Y/N, Jisung.” He greeted you both rather elegantly.
You both bowed to him as he reached out and kissed your cheeks, before doing the same with Jisung.
“Shall we start?” He asked.
You could tell by his accent and broken Korean that he was French, and you were pretty excited to have a French photographer, as they had good eyes.
“Yes.” You and Jisung both said.
He situated you both in front of the machines, your elbow on Jisung’s shoulder, his hands in his pockets. He got a few shots of you both on the treadmills, pretending you both were running. The photographer beckoned Jisung to lay down.
“I want you to lift her like one of those weights.” He said.
“Wait, what?” You asked, your eyes wide in shock.
“What, you afraid I’m gonna drop you?” Jisung asked with a laugh.
“A little bit.” You said with a small smile.
“C’mon Y/N, I’m stronger than I look.” He laughed.
You thought for a moment before slowly making your way over to him. He pressed his elbows to the mat, his palms up as he gave you the okay to lower yourself. You slowly did so, your butt in one hand, your upper back in the other. He began to lift you up and down, his arm muscles rippling as he did so. You were just able to hide your blush as the photographer took pictures. Jisung’s hand was squeezing your butt, his fingers in the soft flesh.
When the photographer finished, and after 100 wardrobe changes, you finished.
“That was a great first day.” Mr. Park said with a smile.
“Thank you.” You said with a big smile, bowing to him.
“Now, why don’t you both use this room to work out?” Mr. Park suggested.
“Are you sure?” You asked.
“Of course! No one’s using it.” He said, his eyes on Jisung.
“Thank you, sir.” Jisung said with a smile.
Mr. Park walked out of the room, and you turned to Jisung.
“So, what are we gonna work on today?” You asked.
“Arm workouts.” Jisung said.
You nodded and followed him over to the smaller dumbbells as he lifted them up.
“I won’t be jacked like you, right?” You teased.
“Maybe.” He said with a small smirk.
He wasn’t completely jacked, but his arm muscles were rather nice and prominent. You smiled as he grabbed one of the dumbbells and showed you a basic workout, a smile on his face.
“I’ll make sure you don’t do anything too intense, don’t want your biceps bigger than mine.” He chuckled.
You giggled and copied the workout he showed you, feeling slight burning in your bicep from it. You smiled at him as you did it, and he gave you a smirk.
“Maybe I shouldn’t of given you such an easy one.” He said, showing you another.
You squinted at his movements, as you couldn’t exactly tell what he was doing. You started it and gave him a questionable look, making him chuckle. He stepped behind you, grabbing your hand in his and showing you how to do it, but your mind was too focused on something else. He was pressed against your back, and you could feel he was hard.
“Having a little trouble?” You asked, arching your brow.
“You’re the one having trouble, I was just trying to help.” He said, his breath fanning your neck.
Chills ran up your spine at his closeness, heat pooling in your legs. It all hit you right then, what the “special training” was. Your body began to act up on it’s own, your butt pushing against his hardening length. He arched a brow at you, a smirk on his face.
“Looks like I’m not the only one with a ‘little problem’.” He pointed out.
He grabbed your waist with his hands and pressed himself directly against you, his lips attaching to your bare shoulder. You closed your eyes as his hands began to knead your ass, his lips latching onto your skin.
“You’re so beautiful, I can see why you got the job.” He purred into your skin.
He turned your around and pressed his lips to yours. The kiss was rough, but it was good. You loved the way his tongue wrapped around your own, and the way his hands roamed your body.
“Put those arms to use.” He rasped.
You nodded, catching on to what he meant. You slipped his joggers down his legs, his length making a very obvious tent in his boxers. You looked up at him as you palmed him through the thin material, making him hiss.
“Pull them off.” He growled.
You slipped his bowers down, his length springing up. His length was just above average, his girth a little above average as well. You spit in your hand and then rubbed it on his length, slicking it up. He closed his eyes in bliss as your thumb ran over the tip, spreading his precum around. You pumped his length, your eyes watching it twitch with pleasure. His breathing was slightly ragged, his lips parted as he watched you closely.
“Squeeze a little harder.” He ordered.
You did as you were told, tightening your fist and pumping up and down his length. You watched his thighs tense, his dick twitching. You were about to say something when he pulled you back up, his lips crashing into yours.
“Lay down on the bench.” He said.
You laid down on the weight bench, your legs open. He sat at the opposite end, pulling your legging down. His eyes went to your soaked panties, his eyes impossibly bigger as he looked at the wet patch. His hands rubbed your inner thighs and along your outer thighs, before ghosting over the wet patch. You whimpered and he smirked, pulling your panties to the side.
“So eager.” He purred.
His pointer finger poked at your clit, slowly swirling it around. Your eyes closed as he dipped his finger into you, a smirk on his face.
“So wet baby, you’re ready for me.” He said.
He pulled his shirt over his head, his ripped stomach in your full view. You watched him settle between your legs, swiping the head over your clit a few times. You whined as he watched your face, a smirk on his lips. You felt his head poke at your entrance, before he sank it into you. The stretch was light and pleasurable, just enough to make you whimper as he bottomed out.
“Damn, you’re tight.” He rasped, looking down at where your bodies are connected.
He pulled his hips back and pushed them back into you, a moan leaving your lips. His pace started off slow, until it gradually picked up. The weight bench screeched under the two of you as his length slid in and out of you. Your fingers were clawing at the soft mat attached to the bench with every snap of his hips. Your orgasm was approaching soon, his length working wonders inside of you.
“Are you on birth control babe?” He asked.
You nodded, your eyes closed as you were lost in bliss. “They told me to be on it, now I know why.”
“Perfect.” He rasped, pulling out of you suddenly.
You whimpered at the loss of contact, your orgasm fading away. He lifted you up, his lips connecting with your again as he brought you over to one of the giant yoga balls.
“Trust me.” He rasped as he laid your back over it, your hips high in the air.
You felt his length slip back in, deeper. The angle he had you at had him hitting deep inside of you. He rolled his hips, rubbing your gspot as your back arched on the ball. The sound of skin on skin filled the room, his grunts adding to the sound of your moans and whimpers. He brought your legs up to his shoulders as he plunged his length deep into your walls, his hips snapping off your ass, making loud slaps fill the room.
Your heat clenched around him tightly, his sweat dripping down his chest as his dark eyes looked down at you.
“Are you getting close?” He panted.
You nodded your head fast, your eyes closed with bliss every time his length plunged back into you. He held your hips tightly as he began to pound into you, his eyes watching your boobs bounce out the top of your tank top. Your body tensed, your eyes closing tight as you came around his length with a moan of his name.
“Fuck- Jisung!” You whimpered.
“Fuck.” He grunted, warmth filling you.
You both panted, your eyes slowly opening and admiring the sweat glistening on his chest. His eyes were hooded and dark, looking at the mess dripping between your legs. He gently lifted you off the ball, moving you to the bench again. You tilted your head and gasped as you looked down, his hardening length rubbing on your clit.
“We still have over an hour until its going to be used again.” He said, raising a brow. “How about another round?”
Your eyes searched his face, a smile on your own.
“Think you can make me cum again?” You asked, challenging him.
His eyes darkened, if possible, as he pushed back into you.
You sat in that position, your legs wide open as you leaned back against the wall. It gave you the perfect view of his length plummeting into you, a mixture of both of your cum dripping onto the bench, and the floor.
“You seemed so sure I couldn’t make you feel good again.” He purred, gripping your chin. “But the look on your face says other wise.”
You went to say something smart, when he pinched your clit with his thumb and pointed finger. Your back arched and he ripped your tank top down, your tits popping out of your bra. He wrapped his lips around one of your nipples as he pounded into you, squelching sounds from the mixture of cum filling your ears. He pulled away from your nipple with a pop, his eyes going down to where his length was pounding in and out of you.
“You’re making a mess baby, couldn’t hold all of that cum?” He asked.
You whined at his words, his hands gripping your thighs tightly and spreading them more. Your eyes were seeing stars as you tightened around him again. He smirked as he leaned foreword, his breath fanning your face.
“Are you gonna cum again, Y/N?” He asked.
“N-No.” You said with a smirk.
He glared at you as he gripped your chin tightly, pressing your body tightly into the wall as he began to ram himself inside of you. You cried out every time his length hit your gspot. His one hand held your chin, the other clutching your hip tightly as his hips snapped off of yours roughly. Your pussy began to scream at the friction, the pain adding to the intense pleasure you were feeling.
“Oh fuck, fuck, fuck..” You whimpered.
He smirked and pinched your clit again, making your legs jerk as you hit your high, a loud wail leaving your lips. Jisung cursed and the familiar warm feeling filled you. Your body relaxed as Jisung kissed your jaw, slowly pulling out of you. You let out a soft whine as you felt his cum dripping down from your hole, your eyes closed in bliss.
“Your first lesson, you passed.” He panted with a smile.
You opened your eyes and smiled at him, the cool air hitting the sweat on your body. He grabbed a towel and threw it to you, throwing one over his bare shoulder as he put his boxers and joggers on.
“I’ll see you after the other’s, maybe this time, you won’t be so bratty.” He said with a wink.
You laid there for awhile, panting as Jisung walked out of the room. You were now starting to wrap your head around it. You were going to have sex with five different guys, and quite possibly the best sex of your life.

Roman couldn’t help but exhale a breath as he finished up explaining the situation to Remus and Virgil, “Any questions?”
To his relief, no one said anything, Virgil just shrugging at the question. He counted that as a small victory, especially since he was awful at explaining the answers to most questions, actually, why did he keep getting posted at the task of telling people when he was so bad at it? both Patton and Logan would be better at it than him, he was sure of it.
His train of thought came to a halt when Remus spoke up abruptly, his voice both more steady and more serious than Roman’s ever heard it “if that’s the situation then I think I need to stay away from him if J-J started sobbing when he found out the old king-y dude was all-'' he made a slicing of his neck motion along with the noise to go with it -“then I can’t imagine what his reaction would be if my thoughts voiced themselves like they usually do, while around him. So unless he actually asks for me,  which I don’t think’ll happen, I’ll just hang out in the dark side, ooh! and I can experiment with the stuff that got banned for melting the floors! I wonder what would happen if I put it in cupcakes-“ he giggled maniacally to himself at the realization no one would be there to supervise him.
Roman cut him off, “I think for the most part your right, I don’t know how much he can handle right now, and we don’t want to overwhelm him, so yeah okay, Though I’ll make sure they’ll be someone to check on you so your not completely to your own devices because I imagine Janus wouldn’t want his room smelling like chemicals and.. whatever else you use for your... art projects.” He told him, ignoring the last bit of what Remus said. Honestly Roman was kind of proud of his brother, he was a lot more caring and considerate than he let on.
he gave him a small smile before quietly going “I’m glad Janus has you as a friend, you care about him.”
Remus rolled his eyes like a petulant teenager, it wasn’t like he was doing something super amazing for Janus Afterall, he was just being a generally decent person, he knew his presence might hurt Janus currently so he wasn’t actively going to be around him for a minute and sure yeah he cared about him but he cared for the sentiment slime goop in his room too so it wasn’t that big a deal.
As Roman and Remus continued their conversation Virgil slipped out of the room silently, unnoticed. not offering a reason for leaving.

Janus walked down the corridor, fingers brushing against the walls, feeling the textures, every now and then the paint changed into a different color, he would guess it was Morality and Roman’s doing since it often went from soft light blues to vibrant reds, making only small breaks to show swirly designs in purples and dark blues. he liked to feel how the different paint changed the texture, even ever so slightly, it was kinda cool to him, and it was something to do while Roman and the others were busy-
Ow
he reeled back immediately as soon as he felt his face slam into someone, luckily it didn't hurt much as the crash was cushioned with soft fabric, regardless though embarrassment still curled up and made itself at home in the pit of his stomach as the realization of he ran into someone finally dawned on him.
After the initial shock subsided, he just started apologizing profusely “I’m sorry! I’m so so sorry!! I didn’t mean to run into you! Are you- are you okay?” He asked as he finally looked up to see who the side he ran into was,
Their face was pale and freckle-clad and.. he knew him!
He gasped excitedly as he began giddily clapping his hands “wait! Hi!! Anxiety I remember you!” He grinned, ignoring how anxiety still hadn’t spoken up, he used to be very quiet so maybe he’s just still like that, either way, he continued “actually Wait- I remember you with a different jacket.. but! I like this one. It's cool!! I like the purple patches!- oh!! Also, guess what! morality and Logic have names! Isn’t that cool?”
Virgil shrugged and Janus took that as an invitation to continue.
“Do you have a name too? I bet if you do it’s cool! Like Ummm… uh- what’s a cool name?” He pondered aloud, not able to think of anything besides names like thor-Bonecrusher or other stuff of that variety.
Anxiety once again shrugged and Janus accepted that well enough; maybe anxiety just didn’t have a name, so Janus didn’t push, but he did continue chattering on happily enough.
At some point, Virgil started to continue walking, if slowly, down the hallway, to where he was trying to go originally, Janus immediately following him like an excited golden retriever puppy as he talked about.. hell knows what, Virgil couldn’t keep track. But regardless of that, honestly, Virgil didn’t think he minded Janus’s presence as much as he thought he would, he was fully willing to just avoid him when He left the conversation with Roman and Remus, not because he would accidentally harm Janus like Remus- well he might Virgil.. tended to be way to blunt but sometimes with things that annoy him, and earlier he was pretty certain Janus would only annoy him, hell, earlier all he wanted to do was avoid Janus because he knew he was still Janus and quite honestly he didn’t want to deal with Janus.
Though honestly Janus himself, while kind of annoying and overdramatic, wasn’t.. awful, like Virgil pretended he was, he inwardly sighed before just ignoring that specific train of thought, something he was actually pretty accustomed and successful at doing.
As he got around to tuning back into what Janus was doing all he heard silence, which given any other time he may have been happy for But this silence is almost.. somber? He looked over quickly and found Janus looking at the floor as he walked, though much slower than before, hell now he was actually walking a distance behind Virgil.
He was already looking at Janus but he could only double-take as he heard a small voice go “I’m sorry…” it trailing off after a minute before continuing, obviously unsure of what it had done wrong but assuming it’d done something “I- I don’t know what I did but I’m sorry! I don’t wanna be mean I promise! If you just tell me what I did I won’t do it again I promise! I’ll be nice! I- ‘m sorry.. ’m sorry..” his voice cracked and got smaller as he wrung his hands nervously.
And Virgil could only quietly go “shit I messed up.” because he could recognize the signs as much as anyone that Janus was halfway to spiraling, and honestly, Virgil couldn’t blame him after all they were walking a very long 15 minutes because somehow the hallway went on forever, and Virgil doesn’t know 90% of what Janus said because he just stopped listening and on top of that he hadn’t even spoken a word to the kid-  and that was weird to think of him as a kid, but he was, he was an impressionable, anxious kid who desperately wanted other people to like him, and that on top of anything meant he probably thought Virgil was just ignoring him for something he didn’t even remember doing.
And he could only panic quickly as Janus’s eyes remained dead set on the floor, and he didn’t know if Janus was trying to disappear into it or if it was him trying to hide the fact his eyes were starting to get glossy with unshed tears because he wholeheartedly thought Virgil hated him- and oh fuck he really did fuck up.
He tried to think of what Patton did to comfort him and in an act of pure panic brain, he scooped him up in a secure hug and hoped that would help.
The result was Janus going almost limp before starting to dry hiccup as he tried to force the tears away after a moment he just confusedly went “but- but you didn’t wanna talk to me And you were ignoring me and you looked really annoyed and-“ he started wiggling from Virgil’s hold “no- wait don’t worry you don’t have to be nice to me if you don’t like me- I promise you don’t have to!” He rushed in telling him, trying to scramble so he wasn’t leaning on Virgil and Jesus this was almost as bad as when they all went to Virgil’s room with how anxious Janus was, he could practically feel the anxiety radiating off.
And he realized he really did have to actually talk to Janus, he wasn’t gonna get less anxious just by getting a hug, Virgil wasn’t Patton he didn’t have that magical ability, so he loosened his hold on Janus just enough to get Janus to stop trying to accidentally on purpose fall onto the floor before just going “I don’t dislike you,” and just those words alone made Janus go completely still, so Virgil continued “and I didn’t mean to Ignore you I just got lost in thought, though that’s definitely not an excuse, because even if I didn’t mean to I did, but the important part is i- I like you,” he told him, not confidently, because while he knew he would be lying if he said he disliked him he didn’t have enough time to sort through his emotions to confidently say he liked him.
But regardless of how uncertain Virgil sounded, Janus still looked up at him with eyes so filled with hesitance but also soft gentle hope as he shakily went “promise? No lies?”
Virgil offered a small smile, “promise, no lies.”  He repeated and Janus barreled into him in a hug,
And As Virgil wrapped his arms around the shortest side for the second time in five minutes which has got to be some kind of record- he realized hey he was a lot better at this whole comforting thing than he thought he would be, which wasn’t really saying a lot but hey.
After a while of just standing there, the awkwardness and strain of standing still in a random hallway motivated Janus to unwrap his arms from around Virgil and retrieve his face from his being buried in Virgil’s chest.
And that only made it more awkward because now they were both just standing in the hallway literally just staring at each other.
So Janus, deciding he hated when stuff was awkward just went “do you know anything fun to do? I’m bored and morality and Logic and Roman are all busy.”
Virgil visibly thought to himself about options before going “are you in a movie mood or music mood? Or if you’re in none of them we might just have to kidnap Roman and see if he has ideas.”
Janus hummed before just happily going “I like music!” practically bouncing on the balls of his feet.
Virgil smiled before he got an idea, “do you like my chemical romance?” He asked and Janus seemed confused at what that was but eventually decided if Virgil liked it then Janus will like it too, so Janus just nodded in reply and just Virgil grinned.
——
Later Logan had to ask them to quiet down because he needed to work and couldn’t focus and he was almost certain that they were gonna damage their eardrums since he could hear the loud shouts of the lyrics coming from the speakers while in the kitchen, though, even if he failed at getting them to turn it down he was glad they were getting along, Janus was practically bouncing with how gleeful he was, even Virgil had a small smile on his face, so logan supposed even if later they had headaches from the blasting music as long as they were still happy it would be okay in the long run.

Summary: Actions have consequences... and Y/N’s explosive relationship with Voight isn’t even the half of it
Tumblr media
Well the cat was out of the bag about you and Voight, except... there was now no more you and Voight. You’d woken up well before your alarm, lying in bed and thinking over the events of the other day until it was actually time for you to get up for shift. No one had directly said anything about it at work, you knew one of the girls had no so subtly told the others to zip it about the whole thing, but you didn’t mind, you’d rather not talk about it at work, or at all.
When your alarm finally sounded you untangled yourself from your covers and went to take a shower, hoping your head would clear and your feelings would go down the drain with the water. God this was a messy situation, and not your normal, run of the mill messy break up that you could talk about with all of your friends, where would you even start?
You had no doubt news of your relationship with Voight had gone beyond the walls of 51 now, not that anyone in Intelligence would dare say a word... okay, maybe Adam would, but he’d shut up pretty quickly.
With a sigh you shut off the water and got ready for work, eyes flicking to your phone screen, half a hope he’d call. You’d tried to call his exactly once afterwards, but you’d hung up before you could even see if he picked up or not, not that he called you back anyway. Your phone did actually ring at that moment, but to your more than slight disappointment it was just Stella telling you to move your ass, they were downstairs ready to pick you up for work.
“Ready to face the day?” Emily asked as you climbed into the back seat. It had been the end of the week when everything went down, you’d had the weekend to mull over your break up, but it also meant you hadn’t seen anyone else from work since either.
“Ready as I’ll ever be I guess,” you said as Stella took off, staring out the window as the houses and buildings passed you by, lost in thought about what the day might bring.
Sylvie squeezed your knee and brought you back into the car. “I’ll bet no one’ll even mention it,” she tried to reassure you, but it didn’t do any good, so she quickly changed the subject, and you spent the rest of the short drive discussing Capp’s new and alarming hat collection.
Shift started off... normal, to your surprise, not to say that you weren’t relieved. Sure, conversation was a little quieter than normal as you went with your partner to grab breakfast before you were inevitably pulled away on call, but the briefing had gone smoothly, and so had double checking the ambo’s inventory.
You were just about thinking you could make it through the rest of the day when Herrmann let out a very loud sigh and put his paper down as you and Sylvie took your seats at the table. Mouch shot him a glare from across the room and Ritter shook his head. You lower your fork, your egg half way to your mouth.
“Don’t-” Mouch said from the couch, rolling his eyes in defeat when Herrmann spoke anyway.
“Voight?” He asked in disbelief, combining so many questions into one simple work, when? where? why? how? what... the hell were you thinking?
Gallo suddenly found his food very interesting and Cruz threw a cushion at Herrmann, but he held his ground, eye brow raised in expectation of some kind of answer.
“What about him?” You replied, getting back to eating and trying to act as casually as possible. It looked like Kelly was trying to decide whether to intervene or disappear into his own chair when Herrmann continued.
“Oh come on, everyone here’s thinking the same thing I am, they just don’t want a bollocking from Foster-” he ignored the look he gave her and carried on, “but you can’t honestly expect us not to be a little curious, I mean, you and Voight-”
“Herrmann,” Boden snapped from across the room, entering in the door way and pointing at him, “that’s enough.”
“But Chief-” Herrmann protested, mercifully cut off by the alarm signalling the need of ambo 61 for a shooting. You gratefully shoved some more of your food in your mouth and hurried out the door with Syvlie, nodding your thanks to Boden for trying. You could hear him scolding Herrmann as you climbed in, glad to be driving so you could distract yourself.
“Sorry about that,” Sylvie said, giving you a sympathetic and understanding smile, you didn’t know what you’d do without her.
“Eh, it was what I expected, especially from Herrmann,” you replied, turning the corner and heading down a side road. Up ahead you could see several police cars and a crowd of people.
“Uh oh,” Sylvie said as you slowed the vehicle, looking for a way to get through, but the crowd was blocking the road too much and everyone was staring in the direction of the police line, ignoring you entirely. “Looks like we’re pushing our way through on foot,” she decided as you climbed out the ambo and went to grab as your med bags and a back board.
You and Sylvie pushed your way through as best you could, the police at the tape helping you through when they noticed you struggling. You saw several bodies, most DOA’s if you had to guess.
“Where do you need us?” Your partner asked, dragging you away from the site of carnage on the street as the officer pointed to a house just a little up the road. There was about a dozen police officers there from what you could tell, and they all moved out the way to let you through as you noted at least three more bodies leading up the drive.
When you entered the house you saw a man lying on the carpet, but before you could kneel down to check his pulse a voice stopped you. “Not that one, he’s gone, we’ve got a few survivors in the back,” you turned back to see Voight in the doorway, Sylvie cautiously looking between the two of you.
“Lead the way,” you told him and he nodded, gesturing you to follow him through to the back of the house. You may be hurting, but you were a professional, you’d damn well act like it and you knew he would too.
“What happened here?” Sylvie asked finally, stepping over a pool of blood and a broken vase.
“Mass murder,” Voight replied and you shivered a little. You’d never gotten used to how calm he could be around death, but he’d been doing this job for a long time.
In the back you found a few shaken and battered 20 somethings, two men and a woman, being talked to by various members of Intelligence. You headed over to the woman talking to Adam, who stepped back to allow you to check her out.
“Hey, my name’s Y/N, what’s yours?” You asked as you shined a torch in her eyes and felt the cut on the back of her head.
“Melanie,” she winced, face wet with tears. “Why did this happen?” She whispered, and you glanced at Adam as you went into your bag for some wipes and a bandage.
“That’s what we’re going to do our best to figure out,” Voight said before Adam could reply, wandering over to where you were working. Adam took that as his clue to take his leave, looking between the two of you, his eyes asking the same question Herrmann did earlier.
You finished patching Melanie up, she had a serious gash on her head that would need to be treated and checked out at Med, and a major concussion, but other than that the rest were superficial cuts and scrapes, whoever hit her on the head must have though it was a decisive blow.
Sending Melanie away with another paramedic that had arrived on scene you turned to head off towards Sylvie. Voight grabbed your arm to stop you, shaking his head and giving your arm a tug to follow him. You head off out into an emply side room.
“I need to get back to work Hank,” you told him, glancing at the door, worried who’d just seen him pull you in here, wanting to at least maintain your professionalism.
“Listen to me for a second,” he said as you noticed he never let go of your arm. He noticed too, pulling his hand away quickly and taking a step back. “You remember that case from last week?”
You nodded, “of course I do, but here isn’t really the place-” Voight cut you off, his features soft and his eyes full of concern as he spoke.
“The manager, Albert Strauss, the one who got away,” he took a breath, “this was him,” he said finally.
You stood in shock, mouth open, horror and guilt filling your mind. “What did I do?...” You mumbled, covering your mouth in shock.
“You did what you thought was right, Y/N-” he tried, reaching out his hand but you pushed it away, taking a shaky step back, your legs threatening to give out.
There was at least eight dead bodies here... what had you done?
