I enjoy your breakdown of what's going on with SM but we differ in opinion where the music is concerned... well the stuff I've heard. I have not listened to the girl groups at SM much but I love the music everyone else has put out, even 2 baddies. I like like when groups experiment, some songs are going to not vibe with some people and some songs are but one of my favorite things about NCT and the sub units are you never what to expect. 2 Baddies is just one of those mindless fun songs to me, but for me NCT 127 are so versatile that they can make anything work. You got SuperHuman, Highway To Heaven, Favorite, 2 Baddies... they can mold into any concept imo Also I love Ay Yo and WayV's last album, the winter palace songs, etc etc... I think a change wouldn't be an awful thing but idk this seems really shitty. I know business can be cutthroat but these people are working there because of what this man Lee Sooman did to start that company and truthfully start of kpop and I just think he deserves more respect than this. This feels dirty and harsh. Another worry is SuperM. Capital seem to work closely with Lee Sooman considering how tied Mr Lee was to that project... do you think Capital will want to cut ties with a company that staged a coup? This is stressing me out lol Oh no and what if this makes some artists want to leave in solidarity with Lee Sooman??? Is that being really paranoid? Also what do you think about the hoopla about Baekhyun's health and people blaming SM? They think because he was sick for 3 weeks and now eating once a day and working out a lot, that SM is to blame for not stepping in.

Always good to have a difference of opinion 😊. I think the SMCU Winter songs were outstanding tbh. I even liked the surreal painterly concept of the photos. But again, I really don't know who is behind what. Like what of Kwangya? Is that LSM or Chris Lee?

And I agree that on the surface of things, it feels like a really brutal fuck you to a man responsible for a lot of great music and careers. SM made a hell of a lot of mistakes, but they've become so artist-centric, it does seem a shame to throw the baby out with the bath water, so to speak.

Regarding SuperM and their future - Capitol Records wouldn't cut ties unless their contract was up and they no longer were interested. I don't know what the profit sharing model is with Capitol or what Capitol has agreed to do marketing/resource wise (anything?), but honestly there's not anything to worry about here. SuperM's comeback has already been announced and is likely being planned as we write on this infernal website, lol. Artists and groups are not likely to up and walk over this. I would find it very surprising. Getting out of their contracts would be too costly, and we don't even know how they feel about SM 3.0 etc. So, no need to be paranoid!

Re Baekhyun's health... I just am sooo sick of the victimization. If Baek wants to do that, he's gonna do it. Fasting is not bad for your health. As long as his meal is not actual junk food he'll be fine. And I assume he's drinking water and taking supplements. Like, fasting is actually good for your health. Why don't we let Baekhyun, an adult, decide what's best for him?

To me, all that victimisation stuff comes down to infantilizing grown men and also this pervasive, misguided savior complex. Hi! I moved here cause I can’t get a lick of sense from the people on bird app. Idk how to feel about this shitshow that I just witnessed. I just remembered there were more reasons as to why that person was banned. That person initially harassed a member of 5up’s community in which the mod defended. So the group disliked the mod too and continued to shit on them privately and publicly.

Next, thirst tweets can be funny to some. But others find it really uncomfortable which is understandable. They have made suggestive remarks about the pink man and even steve before (that peeps overlooked) but it’s not like the cc themselves are bothered (?). So idk even anymore.

I’m don’t know if I’m making any sense. I’m sorry for the spam ;( This is just the first time I just felt genuinely anxious seeing all the things said about 5up so I word vomited here.

hey anon, don’t worry about it!!! tbf, i feel pretty much the same. i think the situation as a whole is pretty frustrating to see, especially with how it blew out of proportion in every way possible. honestly, feel free to vent in my inbox whenever you want!

overnight, it became clear that the nsfw part of the issue is not really an issue, besides being the recurrent meme for this situation. i read from various people that 5up explicitly said that he didn’t have a problem with the nsfw tweets when discussing this with the mods, but that he took that decision based on the harassment, which. ok another can of worms. to me, the thing is... smart fandom behavior is to always push away the things that you don’t wanna see. so nsfw jokes/tweets might be not of your liking. what should you do? the correct answer is, unfollow/mute/block the people that make them, and in general every person that you wouldn’t wanna share the fandom with. that’s to me the only way you can genuinely enjoy fandom as intended lol. but there are cases in which we do not take the smartest option. and we somehow make this our problem, which is the most typical case of twitter entitlement, that reads like “you’ve posted something i don’t like. Prepare To Die.”

when i saw the tweet pictured above in the thread, i was like ooooooooooh so this is just. typical twitter drama. which already highlights the entire issue with this... this is just twitter drama. why is twitch involved? how did the person get banned in both of 5up’s channels? if it were for twitter drama, or this person tweeted something i don’t like!, i’m sure hundreds of people would be arbitrarily banned. so that’s why it’s handled differently on twitch. now, i don’t know jasfer, like i’ve never talked to the guy, but i’m familiar with him. as someone who’s been a fan of 5up for like a year now, i know he’s been here from the start and he’s also a beloved chat member and person in the twitter portion of the fandom. it feels like insult to injury because it wasn’t that jasfer had a bad reputation in 5up’s chat or a bad relationship with most people in it. it’s just... such shitty luck on their part tbh lol

imagine if it were anybody else, like, two randoms on twitter. the best outcome to that would probably be an eventual block on both sides so they just stop talking about it all the time, right? except that this didn’t happen here because one of them happened to be a mod for a chat that the other person frequented. i think by now you know i don’t agree with the decision at all, then.

thing is, i can understand everyone’s sides and empathize with everyone. i understand why 5up stood up by his mods, i understand why the mod was anxious/felt targeted and resorted to this option, i understand jasfer’s anger/sadness from the outcome of the situation. but i’d still side with jasfer, nonetheless, because he’s the only one with no power here. the most that he can do is bring attention to what happened, but he can’t unban himself, or return in other account and expect everything to go well, etc. and it’s like, urgh. like if i was on their place i would be genuinely devastated lol.

now, i could be talking completely out of my ass, right? because i don’t know what really happened. maybe jasfer genuinely did incredibly shitty things and corralled the mod team and 5up into taking that drastic decision. but that’s just another part of the whole twitter drama of it all, isn’t it? see, when i was more active in twitter (in another fandom), if you didn’t like someone/something you’d talk shit about them in your rant. that’s how it went, and everybody did the same. in that part, i can understand how things grew out of proportion, but again, does anyone know what really happened besides the mods and jasfer? not really. and it’s hard to take a real stance because the whole thing happened on private twitter accounts. which yet again highlights how bad of a decision banning jasfer from both 5up twitch channels was, because, how are we ever gonna know if it was deserved? jasfer didn’t do anything wrong in chat, which is what should matter. and if the so called harassment (that we have to take 5up’s word for it!) happened in private rant accounts... is. is it really harassment? or like, was it just a case of people being (understandably) reactionary and doing what everyone else usually does in twitter dot com?

and the fact that the mod liked this tweet afterwards... isn’t that just incredibly petty? celebrating a personal victory after banning someone that has no say in the matter? jasfer said they tried contacting 5up through discord, and only made the thread days later because they never got a response. so it’s clear that 5up (understandably!) took their mods’ side and was loyal to them, but it came at the cost of what could’ve been a smarter, better decision for everyone involved. but now, because jasfer was left with no tools other than bring attention to his side of the story, twitter blew it out of proportion and everyone is very kindly sending dead threats to everybody involved.

sigh. it’s just... a big mix of terrible luck and bad choices. i usually agree with 5up when it comes to twitter stuff, but making it seem like he’s going against everyone is ignoring the fact that some twitter drama should’ve never made it to his twitch channel(s) anyways, and that a better decision should’ve been taken. now it’s just the worst of both worlds and no one got anything good out of it. like, arguably, the mod got what they wanted, but also got multiple death threats too. i doubt there’s any chance of jasfer ever coming back to 5up’s chat, at least not in the way it was before. because of the twitter thread including sapnap and this being a bad decision in general, a bigger audience now regards 5up badly and this will probably be a passing mention in the eventual cancelling 5up thread when twitter gets boring enough. like, meh. it’s just a mess to watch and it’s just depressing from every angle.

Summary: As an up-and-coming Twitch streamer, you’re used to befriending people online. When you start getting cozy enough with one fan for them to ask for a ride from the airport, you find out who you’ve really been talking to for six months.

It started as an innocent fan and creator friendship. You’d been streaming on twitch for a while and had gained a decent sized following, averaging about 500 viewers per stream. Needless to say, your comments section was a little difficult to keep up with. But even with the quick scrolling of new comments with each statement you made, you noticed one name in particular whose comments were always funny or sweet instead of crude and vulgar, like some of those your mods were frequently deleting.

When that same username followed you on Twitter not long after you took notice of them, you were quick to follow back. You’d followed a few of your “fans” before, so it wasn’t unusual. Hell, it wasn’t even odd for you to DM back and forth with some of your followers. What was out of character was becoming attached to one of those fans.

All you knew was his first name (Calum), his age (24), and his location (LA) before you started talking regularly. He had asked for your number at one point, but was understanding when you said you don’t give out that kind of information. For you, it was a relief to finally talk to a man who not only enjoyed your streams, but didn’t make you feel objectified and demeaned. For him, it was a relief to finally meet someone who liked him instead of his name or money.

Communicating with him grew difficult when he flew to Australia to visit family. The time difference still gave you time to DM every day, but staying up late wasn’t quite the same when it was just afternoon for him. You’d already spent five months talking to him and as much as you hated admitting it, you had started to care for this mystery man despite never seeing his face. That never stopped you before (Corpse, anyone?), but for all you knew, “Calum, 24, California” was actually “Craig, 42, Alabama.”

When it came time for him to fly back to LA, you were surprised when he asked if you wanted to meet up when he got back. Like, right when he got back. As in “my friend can’t pick me up and I don’t want to ask you of all people to suffer through LAX traffic so I can just get an Uber if I need to but it’d also be nice to finally meet if you could give me a ride from the airport,” back.

You’d be lying if you said you weren’t apprehensive. He was technically still a stranger you met on the internet and you couldn’t guarantee he wasn’t going to overpower you, take your car, kidnap you, and murder you somewhere in the desert. But you took precautions and told your roommate and a couple other friends where you would be and when to expect you back. If things went well and you spent more time with Calum, you’d call them and tell them, no texting.

Two days later, you stood next to your car parked outside the baggage claim for his airline. You didn’t even know who to look for, but he knew what you looked like — obviously, since you met through your twitch stream.

As people started to flood out of the airport doors, you started to wonder if you had been duped. Would this be a story worthy of Nev and Max? Being led to an airport just to be stood up? More and more people left the terminal while you took up space with your car. You’d get a ticket if you didn’t leave soon — your car may be running but you were technically parked in the loading zone — and your anxiety just continued to grow. He wouldn’t lead you on for nearly six months and stand you up at LAX, of all places… right?

Just as you looked down at your phone again to let your roommate know you might be back sooner than expected, you heard your name called from a few feet away.

And when you looked up, you were starstruck.

“You motherfucker,” you laughed as he got closer. “You knew I was a fan from my stream! That’s why you didn’t want to FaceTime!”

He laughed with you and didn’t hesitate to pull you into a hug.

“It was fun getting to just talk to you,” he defended. “I didn’t want you to unintentionally treat me differently just because you like my band.”

It felt nice to not only meet him, but feel him. He held you tight against his chest, his arms circling your shoulders with yours around his waist. And his thick sweater gave you a soft cushion to rest your head against as you just held each other. You pulled back from his hug but kept your hands on his ribcage, his resting on the sides of your neck as you asked, “How did you end up on my stream?”

“Someone tweeted a clip of you singing one of our songs from an older stream so I decided to check you out. I thought you were pretty and fun so I came back for more.”

For a second, you just stared up at him in multiple stages of shock. This was Calum Hood. From your favorite band. He just hugged you. And called you pretty. How could you handle this?!

But you could handle this. Because he was also the guy you had been talking to for the past six months. The guy you stayed up late talking to and who sent supportive messages when your chat got too aggressive and told you stories from his childhood. You knew him. You just had to let yourself realize the man you’d grown to care about personally was also the man you cared about as a fan.

Holy shit.

“Are you okay?” he asked, sliding his hands down your neck and over your shoulders to your upper arms as he looked down at you with concern etched on his face.

“What? Oh, yeah. Sorry, it’s just taking me a second to really let this all sink in,” you admitted.

“Yeah, now that we’re here, I’m realizing I probably should’ve broken the news in a less, uh, spontaneous way,” he laughed nervously, dropping his hands from you and shoving them in his pockets instead.

You should’ve just kept your mouth shut to keep those hands on you. Or if luck was on your side, he’d have his hands all over you later.

“I mean, I’m not mad about it,” you shrugged. “It’s just not what I expected.”

“What did you expect?” he asked with a smirk.

You let out a sigh. “Honestly? I was kind of expecting to either be stood-up or meet a 42-year-old balding man from Alabama with a beer belly named Craig.”

“Wait… his beer belly is named Craig?”

“No, he is named Craig, you doof!” you laughed, gently shoving Calum’s arm.

“Well I’m sorry to disappoint,” he said with that same smirk on his lips.

“Oh believe me, I’m anything but disappointed,” you replied with a quirk of your own lips. “So, am I taking you to your place then?”

Calum started loading his luggage into the backseat of your car as he spoke to you. With only two checked bags and a carry-on, he didn’t have much, but clearly wouldn’t let you help as he hoisted everything in.

“Yes, please,” he said as he shut the car door. “As excited as I am to finally meet you, I really miss my dog.”

You gasped and immediately perked up. “Duke?!”

“Yeah,” he laughed. “Do you want to meet him?”

“Oh my god, yes!” You ran around to the driver’s side and impatiently waited for Calum to get in and buckle his seatbelt before weaving through the waiting cars to get out of LAX. Fortunately, Calum got in on a late night flight so the traffic wasn’t as bad as you’ve seen before.

“I feel like you’re more excited to meet my dog than you are to meet me,” Calum pouted from the passenger’s seat.

“As excited as I am to finally meet you,” you started with a direct quote, “I really love dogs.”

Sigh. Im actually quite disappointed though. I was really hoping to see Sakura henshin. I saw Kamen Rider Jeanne pictures floating around on twitter. I assumed it was a screenshot or something and I thought "Oh wowowowo shes finally henshin!" But well, i guess they show how her design look like in the preview. Just another week of waiting for me 😔

Anyway, apart from that. I know this kinda too early but would you have any idea or theory on who gave the driver to Sakura? I thought it would be the Deadmans but it seems that its not them. Even Karizaki look surprised. But idk if his surprise is "Wait theres another driver i dont know of???" or "How that driver got to her? Did someone steal it from me???"

Hmm... well, unlike you, I actually thought they wouldn’t show her actual henshin that quickly. It’s not that unusual for a debuting Rider to be teased transforming in previews, only for the episode to abruptly end before the actual transformation, or right after, before we can see them in action.

I think that whoever gave Sakura her Driver is a 3rd party who somehow also had access to the Vistamp tech. Possibly someone who would make the Riders question Fenix’s true intentions.

After all, George hasn’t been forthcoming about what he needs those 10 special Vistamps for, and the way he dealt with the Daiji/Kagerou situation is especially shady. You would think a Rider fan would make sure the Driver they created would make a person a hero and not, you know, unleash a demon that would take over them. And Wakabayashi just letting run amok with his experiments is just as suspicious.

Also... it’s unlikely that George’s dad worked on the Vistamp project alone, so it could be a former collaborator who developed his own collection and somehow singled Sakura out as a user.

It could be connected to how the Ushijima fam seems to be observing the Igarashi fam, too. The son, who's in Sakura’s karate class, was conveniently the one who found her when she ran away from home. He even let her stay over at his place, which even Sakura seems to find odd for how barren it is.

As for Hiromi... well, it’s known that his actor, Junya Komatsu, is gonna star in a stage show early next year, so they may be downplaying his prominence in preparation for that. While I'm pretty sure he'll get written off in a way that will allow him to come back when he's done, that still means there's rather huge chunk of time he won't be available, since he'd be rehearsing for, and actually doing the stage show.

He’s not billed very highly in the crossover movie either, which is really weird for a Rider, tbh. I would have expected him at the same level as Ryo Aoki (who plays Kento/Espada, he's billed 4th for Saber cast), but the actors for George and the Deadmans precede him too.

What were you doing before you got on the computer? I took a long-ass shower after the humid nightmare that was today.

Is there anything you really want right now? I wish I had some pastry to go with my iced coffee. Why do the lead singers in bands always get the most recognition?! Probably because they’re the ones mainly heard. I always recognize all the members in my favorite bands, though.

ALRIGHT here come my thoughts about TROS spoiler warning obviously!!

It was honestly SO MUCH BETTER than I expected after the shitshow that was TLJ, even if i knew it was obviously not gonna be as bad but like?? honestly TROS was the best movie of this trilogy for me, it wasn’t perfect by any means & still had some ridiculous/cheesy moments but they were barely noticeable next to all the other really great moments

i was FLOORED @ the Rey Palpatine revelation bc i honestly expected her to be some kind of Sith alchemy baby (based on that mirror scene from TLJ, as terrible as it was I still had my theories based on this movie) but ultimately it was a good plot twist and it really fixed a lot of plot holes & made the whole trilogy so much more poetic for me

bc obviously i was!! SO HAPPY at the Reylo kiss at the end!! lmao i’ve been lowkey shipping them since TFA and this kiss was perfect & such a good way to conclude the whole story (and Kylo’s smile right before he died?? i was sobbing like a baby AHSKD) i haven’t even started diving into the spoiler tags on tumblr/twitter/etc but i KNOW people are going to be pissed that Reylo is canon and not whatever ship they had imagined for Rey and I love it. I love it because it was so poetic and so well done and even if imo the whole redemption arc for Kylo should have started in late TFA/early TLJ it was still so good and i’m so over people imagining things in their heads and then throwing a fit when it doesn’t end up being canon like...grow the fuck up. ur tears hydrate my skin

lots of little things I loved in no particular order: - the mini flashback scene with young Leia and Luke training, i sobbed a little bc it’s so good that they made Jedi Leia canon & that she had her own saber and everything....so so perfect - the Han hallucination/memory scene where he talks w Kylo and we FINALLY get to see him break down and show that killing his father has been literally tearing him apart since TFA...bruh....yes... - Rey using Force lightning like YES!! finally!!! - Rey’s yellow saber!!!! - all the fun bickering scenes between the trio and chewie/c3po - Leia and Rey hugging :(( - Hux’s shitty ass death was so perfect and i LOVED it thanks!! nazis dont get good deaths bye bye!! - i want to hope it was done on purpose but. Kylo’s scar seemingly disappearing after he and Rey kissed...hnnfhuhg

some cons??: - honestly no major disappointments tbh?? a bit sad we didn’t get to see a Anakin Force ghost or a big Force ghost scene with all the Jedi though - some more awful alien and critter/creature designs like those hairy horses the stormtrooper lady and her crew were riding but honestly ignoring existing alien designs and creating more shitty ones instead is like, the trademark of this whole trilogy so *shrug* lmao (still no Twi’lek?? no Zabraks?? Togrutas?? hello??) - wish we’d have gotten a better explanation for Palpatine’s survival/how he got himself to the Sith homeworld/why and how he created Snoke/how did he populate all those Star destroyers???? - still no major EU ref like Korriban...sigh - they kept introducing more and more humans and at this point idk what to say lmao give us the fucking aliens!!!

but yeah overall it was honestly, surprisingly Good and while it wasnt the best Star wars movie ever it was def the best one in the trilogy and everyone did a really good job despite the whole TLJ mess

He found a number of fire-proofing spells that would have no effect if they decided to cut his head off, and figured out how to adapt an invulnerability spell he had been trying to find a way to cast on Arthur without him noticing so that it would protect him from being decapitated, but it would have no effect on anything but metal. Despite all his frantic searching, he did not find a teleportation spell, because that would have been too simple and if there was one thing Merlin had learned in his years at Camelot, it was that nothing was ever simple.

I haven’t read past chapters in so long, I didn’t even realize that Endeavor arc was retconned. What parts are you talking about?

Oh, anon, sorry in advance but I am gonna keep this vague bc 1] the fandom is totally divided over this issue and I don’t want to attract unnecessary hate to my blog and 2] I would rather you form your own opinion from reading the three arcs—Todoroki Shouto: Origins, Todoroki-kun’s hellish home (in the EA arc iirc) and Touya’s origin chapters about whether or not Endeavor’s redemption arc was planned from the start, whether or not Rei’s mental breakdown and subsequent hospitalization took place before or after Touya’s accident (I still am not sure about this detail, tbh. The timeline was changed from what Fuyumi said in the EA arc during Touya’s backstory but later corrected on twitter and again(?) in the final volume? idk. For my fanfics, I fix the timelines as I want so it doesn’t really matter to me) and whether or not, to reduce the blame on Endeavor (for his redemption), it was shifted and shared between the kids as well.

The first two I can give the benefit of doubt and pretend not to nitpick. But the last? No.

Endeavor is the one in the Todoroki family to start the infamous eugenics project to produce an heir to surpass All Might. Starting from Touya, all the kids are victims to his ambition.

Since Touya was born with more talent, his dad left his ambitions to the child. Touya has no room to grow as his own individual. The only reason he is even born is to fulfil his dad’s ambitions (and the other feelings like resentment, jealousy and ugliness that come with it). How nice of him (sarcasm btw)

And yet, Touya is blamed for his ‘pig-headedness’ and later on, Fuyumi and Natsuo are made to share the blame for Touya’s accident when they were just helpless kids in the same hell of a home their dad had created.

Plus, this panel—

Now that Touya is dead, Endeavor can’t go back and change his ways—he can’t do anything but to push his other son into the same hell that killed his oldest son in the first place. Poor man.

Sigh.

The only way I can explain this all away is by saying that since it is from Endeavor pov, he is trying to run away from his guilt and his mistakes (as always), justify his actions with the usual I-had-no-choice-but- and try to get the sympathy of his victims.

That’s why I am not quite sold on his redemption arc. He has done nothing to face the ghosts of his past or take responsibility for his actions. I shouldn’t be expected to feel bad for him just bc he shed a few tears when he destroyed the sanity of both his kids and his wife.

Please describe the character for us

Y’all know what a soft spot I have in my heart for Aurora, and that’s mainly because I’ve spent plenty of time looking at the little bit of source material we get for her in the movie in order to build her character. At first glance, it would be easy to write her off as naive and the type to have her head up in the clouds. And honestly, she is that! Her entire upbringing was one that gave her the luxury of staying innocent and carefree, and with little entertainment to keep her otherwise occupied it’s no real wonder that she turned to daydreaming about far off places and handsome princes as a way of passing the time. As a hopeless romantic at heart, her entire being clings to daydreams of being whisked off her feet by her one true love, and that in and of itself gives off an almost ethereal quality to her as if she’s almost always only half-there.

She’s far from the posh, uptight type that most would expect a princess to be, and most would probably be shocked to ever find out her true identity considering how simply she leads her life. Her love of nature is far from diminished, and she often finds herself yearning for a return to  quiet escape of the woodland home she left all those years ago. Still, with no option to return she often finds herself finding substitutes for that lifestyle: going barefoot in the park, taking hikes among nature trails, and forever stopping to admire the prettiest of flowers and the lushest of foliage. Even the way she dresses would lead most to label her more as a sort of flower child rather than someone of royal heritage, so there is most certainly an aesthetic and lifestyle that she clings to.

That being said, behind that sweet, dreamy exterior lies a girl with a world’s worth of responsibility upon her shoulders, and it has understandably impacted her. For one, she still struggles with identity issues; after all, being raised as one person for sixteen years only to discover that it all was a lie (even down to her name, which is still a sore spot), is enough to spin anyone’s head in circles, and she often feels like she can never really get a good hold on who she really is. In addition to this, she doesn’t particularly care for attention and while she is extremely friendly and sweet, she is equally cautious of strangers and isn’t the type that is prone to extreme excitability. Finally, she carries a strong sense of duty and responsibility. This is essentially the only reason she even agreed to follow her aunt’s wishes instead of running off to find her mystery man once again. At the end of the day, she hates disappointing people and will almost always do what is expected of her… even if it’s at the expense of her own happiness, as it was in that case.

This might be risky, but I’m settling on my one and only.

She ran.

She ran until her legs ached and her lungs burned, until the sound of the babbling brook had faded into the rustling of the leaves and the trunks of the trees surrounding her turned familiar once more as if they were a beacon to how close she’d gotten to home. Rose had no idea just how far she’d gone since she’d started her flight from the meadow but the wobbling of her knees had served as enough proof that she couldn’t go much farther even if she wanted to. And god, how she wanted to. Even after she’d stumbled to a stop, bracing herself against a nearby pine tree as if it were the only thing keeping herself still standing, she still found herself sparing glances over her shoulder as if she would catch a glimpse of a red cape or a head of golden brown hair at any given second. It was there that she lingered for several moments with shoulders heaving up and down with labored breaths, and yet as the seconds passed there remained no sign of the man in her wake.

“He didn’t follow.” The sigh she emitted at the realization was ambiguous at best and was tinged with just as much disappointment as it was with relief. Her gaze lingered a moment longer, focused on the crest of the hill for a moment longer before she pushed herself off to meander towards the stream just a mere couple of feet away. The scene still played in her head as if she were willing each and every detail to commit themselves to memory: the deep baritone of his voice, the warmth that practically seemed to emanate from him… The memory of his touch, in particular, seemed the most vivid. Even then, alone as she halfheartedly dipped a toe in the water, she could almost feel the way his fingers brushed along her arms and cupped around her waist as if by a phantom’s touch. Rose had spent years listening to her aunts’ stories about dashing knights and charming princes and yet even they could hardly hold a candle to the handsome stranger that had all but entranced her in the woods for the last few hours. He was real, in the flesh, and unfortunately for her, long gone.

The sensible part of her was thankful that she was alone. No matter how handsome and charming the man was, after all, he was a stranger. Rose could practically hear Flora lecturing her for now, scolding her half to death for even getting close to someone she didn’t know, and yet there was another part of her that yearned to be back in his arms once more. She’d already started humming that same tune - foreign yet strangely familiar in a way that warmed her heart - before she could even realize she was singing to begin with, and the memory of it brought a small, nostalgic smile to her lips. “He was terribly charming, wasn’t he?” She mused, glancing over at the twittering little bluebirds that had settled on her shoulder just moments prior before glancing back down absentmindedly at the creek, “And handsome, too. Almost makes you wonder what someone like him was doing in the woods, doesn’t it?”

The fond little grin that had settled across her expression quickly made way for disappointment, and it seemed that a frown made its way there just as soon as she shook herself from the lovesick reverie that she’d so happily settled into. “It’s a shame they wouldn’t understand. Surely if there was just some way to make them see…” She trailed off, her brow furrowed in frustration as she glanced behind her once more to glance at the remaining assembly of animals that had gathered behind her. Strange as it was, she could swear that there was something in their eyes that told her they understood even if they never responded. Fauna always joked that she was willing to accept just about any company after sixteen years in the woods, but Rose still maintained that they were smarter than most assumed. And what she could read from them was an almost silent encouragement, a near urging to follow the path that her heart was leading her down. “Why,” she murmured, allowing a halfhearted laugh to slip through her lips, “I’m sure they might just like him. Imagine that.”

The fact of the matter was that like it or not, there was a high likelihood that her aunts would have to at least understand her wishes. After all, he’d promised to come see her that very evening - a thought that brought more warmth to her tummy than she’d initially expected - and even in a moment of mental clarity, she knew that nothing would keep her from seeing him. Surely there was a way to make them see how much this meant to her… how much he meant to her.

“Maybe if I just tell them. They do want what’s best for me, don’t they?" Furry heads nodded in unanimous agreement, which elicited the first real laugh she’d released since fleeing from the young man. "Right. Surely they can’t get too upset with me if I explain I love him. They have hearts, after all, and they couldn’t possibly expect me to be alone forever." Even if her mind had been made up since the moment she laid eyes on the man, she could practically feel the courage rising within her with every single word she spoke. She might have calmed from the physical exertion of running so far, but there was still an energy about her that was unmistakable, from the glittering, dreamy glint in her eyes to the way her cheeks flushed with pure excitement.

And at that, she skipped her way across the creek with her woodland friends close at her feet before twirling and skipping her way back to the woodcutter’s cottage. It was a moment of pure joy, filled with an almost frenetic excitement to spill the good news, and yet Rose had no clue what was waiting for her back home: a birthday cake, an elegant gown, and a whole new identity that would surely shatter the heart that was currently swelling in her chest. What she did know, however, is that this would be the last few moments before her life would forever be changed even if it was far from the manner in which she’d expected it.

Rant post on the wedding stuff that they have been putting out recently. 

(Yeah. Hella pissed about them.)

Before i start, let me just say that i am super tired from doing my assignments so i am not even sure if this post is coherent. This is a hell of a week so i haven’t had much time to get on here or make stuff for the countdown challenge.

It’s actually something that i have been keeping to myself for quite a while, and god. I just need to let it out. And just to be clear, I am not blaming the fans. I am upset with how much material that the Scorpion promo team have let out with their promo. 

I am really, really, extremely happy that they are doing this much promo for them. I truly am. It is not that common that they are promoting them this much. But they basically spoiled the wedding. Almost entirely. 

It started off when they showed Happy’s dress. I wanted to see the dress at the ceremony. Kinda upset when that happened especially when i was blindsided. Got onto Instagram’s explore page and that was the first image i saw. (My explore page do have a lot of wedding and bridal dresses so i didn’t think that it was Happy’s before i clicked it.) I survived that. Seems logical for them to put out the dress too. 

Then came the HUGE amount of promo pics on the wedding. They were super revealing of the plot. I tried to avoid them as much as i can but apparently, it showed the dress, wedding, exchanging of rings, Happy at the start of the aisle, cake, dance, kiss, etc. Dude. That is almost the entire actual ceremony. Why the hell would you do that?! Make people interested in the ceremony? Ensure that people knew that Tobias Merriweather Curtis and Happy Quinn are getting married? M’kay. Whatever you say then. 

The promo was fine-ish. Not too filled with spoilers as compared to the other stuff. I still managed to avoid the wedding parts. I think? Definitely saw Toby in that suit and Happy in the car. But this was expected. 

Then oh boy. Came the sneak peeks. If you know me, you would know that i do not watch sneak peeks. Not gonna do it this time round as well. But i didn’t expect the sneak peeks to really be about the wedding-ish. Kind of opening ep material i guess? Idk. I cannot even remember what went down in it now. 

And that new YahooTV article? GOD. WHAT THE HELL. I was checking google to see if i missed out stuff on Scorpion and that came up under Jadyn’s name. (I wasn’t on Twitter yet so i didn’t see it on there yet.) So i clicked on it and luckily the video didn’t really load yet. But according to Instagram, it seems like that had a VERY significant part of the wedding that i wanted to see in the episode. itself. I was pissed. Like super angry then and still upset now. 

I really feel that they have spoiled way too much for the wedding. I love spoilers. But not when they spoil my watching experience. Probably alone in this because i haven’t really seen anyone complaining about it. (Except for my another friend. Lol.) 

And why can’t i just avoid social media? Why can i just unfollow people? I use social media to relax. Sometimes studying and doing assignments just tires me out. So i get onto Instagram, Twitter or on here to take a breather and rest. But when i get on Instagram now, i will definitely see a wedding picture on either my explore page or my timeline. Can’t even get onto Twitter without worrying about seeing a spoiler. But Twitter is still better in the sense that my timeline is flooded by some other stuff and i can mute people. Can’t go into the Tumblr tag without worrying that i will see caps or gifs of the spoilers. Kind of have to get into the tag so that i can reblog the challenge posts. So basically i can’t really avoid the spoilers. Sigh. 

So yeah. I just wish that they will leave some kind of pleasant surprise in the ep about the wedding. (And tbh, their intense promo about the wedding is kind of making me worried about the finale. They have to pull something under the fans and i have no idea what it is.) 

If you did read finish this post, you are an amazing person. Because i have no idea why would anyone even read this long mess of feelings that don’t even make sense. Lol.

namjoon is slammed because big hit is awful and giving my children a comeback when they're currently having a comeback

which means namjoon is exhausted especially because he's the leader™

and he doesn't have the energy to get out of bed, let alone dress up and go shopping with you

but you don't get the lost opportunities to spend time with your boyfriend, especially now he's drowning in concerts and comebacks

you text namjoon and you're like hello there i love you, let's hang!

namjoon is someone to carry a loot of weight on his shoulders he's just that kind of person

i'm sure his mental health plays a lot in that too so he doesn't want to ever burden you

and he thinks because he's so tired and worn out and exhausted from such a busy schedule that he won't be at his one hundred percent to hang out with you

and he doesn't want to be that day with you knowing that he might be irritable and snappy and just in general bad spirits

so he's like well i better idk,,, lie

so he texts back and he's like yikes i'm dying,,, sorry,,, don't wanna contaminate you

but ofc that makes you wanna check up on him even more so you're like okay guess it's time for me to come over and nurse you back to health!!

and namjoon is like oh yikes that's not what i wanted okay anyway

he tries to convince you to not come over but you haven't seen him in like seventeen years?? and he could be coughing up his lungs!!

so you're like time to save the bf

you hear over to his house without telling him that you're coming over because sneak attack

at this point you guys aren't living together, but you have a spare key to the house

so you let yourself in and you expect to see a war zone because wow sick namjoon is a recipe for disaster

but the place is actually really tidy, uncharacteristically so for him too??

you take your shoes off and shut the door and you're like time to find my lover boy

you immediately wander to his room and you're like maybe he's too sick to move!!

he just sighs and rolls a bit so he's on his back and you're laying on top of him fully

you know that something is up but you don't wanna push him, you know that namjoon will talk to you when he's ready

namjoon is chilling in some sweatpants and a big gray sweatshirt and he's wearing his glasses and his hair is all fluffy

and guess what you watch the new netflix series of unfortunate events because they're so much like the books and they're so well executed and the acting is amazing so everyone watch them

i mean the parents are kinda sketch but man i hope they mention the twins (triplets) really badly omg i'm getting emotional

tbh namjoon has probably read the books at least ninety three times so if you haven't he would probably ruin the entire plot

he would get so excited and relate the episodes back to the book !! and he would totally lose his shit over everything and he would be hugging a pillow super tight at the suspenseful scenes and you're kinda

so namjoon rests his head on your lap and snuggles up to you

but then he has to sit up again because he gets so excited over the tv show that he can't possibly stop wriggling around

he probably ends up jumping up suddenly and smacks his head against your chin

and he panics because you're obviously hurt and you're like it's okay !!! it's okay !!!

he springs up to grab the first aid box which is decorated in winnie the pooh stickers tbh

you're not even that hurt like yah it stings a little bit but there's no blood or anything??

but namjoon comes back and he plops down across from you and he starts peeling band aids and wow is that hello kitty??

it is surprise

he sticks like seventeen of them on your chin

and then proceeds to kiss your chin all over and then your jaw and then down to your neck

and soon he's on top of you

and now hes tickling your sides and he's cracking up because youre kicking your feet around and giggling hysterically

he kisses your face all over and you're like omg stop i can't breaTHE

but nah he doesn't care he's tickling you still and he won't stop

what's the tv because you two sure as hell aren't watching it anymore

he ends up putting more band aids on you for no reason because he's like wow is that a boo boo i guess i have to kiss it better

and he does kiss all the boo boos and you're like namjoon plz i thought you had no energy,,,

and then you stick band aids all over his face and then you guys take a lot of pictures together

and then namjoon sends them to his group chat with the boys and yoongi is the first to respond with gross

so namjoon is like ooh yikes i'm petty

so he kisses your cheek and takes a pic of that and sends it to the group chat

hoseok sends a voice memo of him shrieking in response

yoongi leaves the chat

i've probably mentioned it but i'll mention it again kids!!

namjoon would be such a cuddler like he craves human touch deep down but sometimes he thinks it'll be kinda !! and he doesn't wanna be awkward or uncomfortable so he avoids it

but with you like everything is so comfortable and he can let his walls down

so he's like please love meeeeee and then proceeds to probably flop down on you

actually i think namjoon would prefer to have you lay on top of him??

which is what happens like he lays on the couch and you situate yourself on him and he wraps his arms around your hips? probably clasps his hands and keeps them rested on your butt

because let's face it, kookie is super cheesy and romantic and would be like wow are all the spoons but one dirty, i guess i'll have to spoon feed you

he's probably one of those people who puts twenty seven fake cherries on his ice cream

after that you would be like gotta keep the babe not stressed so you rub his shoulders or something like something really simple like that
