sometimes kallisto just screams (meows) at the top of his little kitty lungs until yakumo picks him up and holds him like a little baby.

he started doing this before yakumo knew he was a yokai, wailing mournfully and rubbing against his ankles in a shameless attempt to get attention. it always worked, without fail. yakumo is sweet and kindhearted and would do anything to stop a cat from making such a sad, pitiful noise, even if he now knows that cat is a yokai that’s perfectly capable of communicating his wants and needs.
