Welcome to Mario Kart ; Shou + Rival

On a cloudy day, the moon sprite came across an old gaming system and a few of its cartridge games for sell. He was initially on the hunt for a television and a DVD player, but he found the video games first. Noticing his interest, the owner of the shop set up the console and taught him the basics of a game called Mario Kart. He didn’t do well the first few races, confusing the old man’s character as his own and then he kept running over those pesky banana peels. But he was hooked, enjoying the simplicity of the game. Then the old man struck a deal, telling him he could have the game and the console for free if he won the race against him on Rainbow Road. It was a close race, but Shou’s Toad placed first which made him the proud owner of a Nintendo 64 console, Mario Kart 64, and 4 controllers (green, black, gray, and blue). 

Once he received his winnings and purchased a television, the moon sprite thanked the owner then hurriedly called a cab so that he could go back to his dorm and hook up his new game. Thankfully, everything was easy to set up and within minutes, he was back to racing (but as Yoshi this time). A few first place victories later, he became bored and wished that he had someone to play with. Shutting off the game, he tried to remember who he knew that lived in his dormitory that wouldn’t mind playing with him. There was someone, he was sure of it. After moments of thinking, he gave up and left the room. Maybe he’ll run into them. There was no one in the hallway, so he made his way to the stairwell then headed up to the first underground floor. 

He heard the elevator ding and he eagerly watched as the doors opened to reveal a certain Shardian he met weeks ago. “Oh hey! You’re just the person I was looking for! Do you want to play a game with me? I just got it today and it’s super fun!”
