"OH! You're going to bake a cake?! Yippee! I love baking!"

"Um, so first thing is the wet and dry ingredients don't get mixed at the same time. Actually, I don't think that matters all that much, it just sounds silly. I mean, they go into the same pan anyways."

"Wait, what kind of cake are we talking about? It's valentine's day, so I think red velvet is the obvious choice but that's basically just a chocolate cake with a load of red food color in it. Are you allergic to red dyes?"

"Okay, so we need flour, sugar, cocoa power, salt, butter, eggs, vanilla, milk, and baking soda. Am I missing anything? Hmm... oh yeah! Vegetable oil and the red food coloring. We should have everything now, I'm pretty sure. Just make sure the butter is room temp."

"The oven needs to be pre-heated while we're mixing everything together, I'm pretty sure it just needs to be 350°F. Get a bowl big enough to mix everything in."

"Okay, into the bowl goes the dry ingredients first. How much did we need again? One sec, I need to think about it, it's been a while since I've baked a cake."

"Um, I'm pretty sure it was 3 cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar, 2 tablespoons of cocoa. Oh, I always forget how much baking soda is needed. Or was it baking powder? What's even the difference? Huh? Sorry, um, I think like 1/4 a teaspoon of salt and 1/2 a teaspoon of baking soda??"

"Yeah, and then you mix it all together. Now 1/2 a cup of butter, which is just a stick, and 4 eggs need to be mixed in too. Oh! And 1 cup of vegetable oil. Once all that is mixed together, we need to add in the cup of milk and the red dye. It needs to be mixed well, so no clumps or anything."

"That's it for the batter, I'm pretty sure. Just gotta pour it into a greased pan and bake it for... 30 minutesss, I think? Yeah, 30 minutes sounds right."

9. What are the best things about your current fandom?

oh goooossshhh i love. lots of things. i love how everybody is so enthusiastic about feedback and commenting. like the thing that always got me Out of previous fandoms before was usually because i felt like i was throwing my words out into the void cuz nobody was saying anything. with this fandom, the first thing i posted got rbs and tags and it was Overwhelming because. oh gosh. hello!!! like, generally ppl here r rlly into just interacting with other ppl in fandom. bmc is the first fandom i got this engaged in; like. talking to people and making friends and shit. none of that wouldve happened at all if other ppl didnt make the first move and i know i lucked out but this fandom and the ppl ive met through it have been so kind and friendly and i love them LOTS

other things: oh god, the fanartists in this fandom are incredible. the fics??? in this fandom??? there are so many fucking good ones??? it’s just really fun. IT’S REALLY FUN

15. Is there an obscure ship which you love?

i wouldny say ‘obscure’ cuz ive seen it around a little and i wouldnt say ‘love’ because thats reserved for the boyfs, but yo, im so so interested in jake/michael. fuckin popular kid/nobody dynamic. ive only read one fic with them but it’s a pairing i think about a lot when im not thinking about boyfs (so….not too often djghdkfghkdf)

28. If someone were to draw a piece of fanart for your story, which story would it be and what would the picture be of?

IM SO SPOILED W/ FANART I GET TOO MUCH OF IT I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD BE ARRESTED BY THIS POINT. goodnight moon and forest are so blessed because of the fanart it’s gotten, but if i was allowed to ask for more, i’d say itd be pretty hilarious if somebody drew something for smooth operator. the romantic in me wants the Ice Cream Kitchen Counter scene drawn, but the humor part of my brain is screaming for an image of this bit, simply because, while i wrote the words, i have no idea how theyd all look like 

46. If someone was to read one of your fanfics, which fic would you recommend to them and why? 

ohhh if im picking only from my bmc fics, itd definitely be goodnight moon. i actually have a lot of problems with the fic now that i look back on it, but it’s the fic i had the most fun writing. i’d want the fic people to read from me to be the one that i enjoyed the most

but if im veering outside, i def want people to read my les mis sky high au, walls come tumbling down. for the EXACT SAME REASON. i feel like my fics turn out different when im having fun. different in a good way. maybe. //SHRUGS
