Okay so Crow’s whole family was murdered (or at least his brothers. his parents were already dead) and his kingdom was completely destroyed, all by another Fae family they had beef with. There are many other Fae kingdoms and there’s an Accord in which they meet and discuss the realms issues, declare each other enemies etc etc. but it’s all very civil. The main goal of all kingdoms is revelry, and that’s their highest priority. Everything in the name of a good party, and anyone who gets in the way of that will be Punished.

EXCEPT no one is going to do anything to help Crow. Because when he like a toddler he took a vow of pacifism. And then he broke that vow. To save his own life.

To the Fae, promises are sacred. There’s only one thing worse than a disrupter of peace — an Oathbreaker.
