This episode was a huge win for me and my 'Belos hallucinates so so much' headcanons
#toh spoilers#i think he's always been haunted‚ a cursed child‚ and he tried so hard to be holy‚ to chase away the demons who lingered#at the edges of his vision‚ flickering unknowable figures. they whispered in his mind but he rarely understood their words.#but he knew he knew he knew that they were bad. the devil tries to temp you‚ his pastors had said‚ and that's what they were#but he was a good child‚ a godly child‚ and he did all that he was supposed to do and he followed all of God's commands#he would not be led astray no matter what the devil might whisper in his ear#he tells witches that he hears the Titan speak‚ and he is not lying. the Titan must be the Devil‚ the ruler of this Hell#Philip has always heard him speak.#but now‚ he hears more#“Why?" his brother's ghost asks. more often it is silent‚ watching from the corners of his eyes where once only demons strayed#of course Caleb joined their ranks. of course Philip was too late to save him.#*SpongeBob wait meme* it is Not psychosis that made Belos evil‚ it IS mostly religion influencing how he feels about his own mind#I'm phrasing this wrong but i don't care I'm just making a little post
