Based on some rumblings I heard, I ended up quickly throwing together a fun little WIP bingo sheet! I'll admit I largely wrote the prompts for writing, but I think a good number of them should also apply to art!

Ultimately, the goal is to have fun, and finish whatever WIPs you can (without burning yourself out or having a bad time). If you needed a sign to pick up that project you've been putting off, the time is now!

These snippets are from a WIP called "Stargazing" which is a prequel to a project I'm working on with Lex! Basically, it's a Modern AU where Royai meet as teens at Military School (More details on this are coming soon, stay curious folks ;) )

R- Riza’s eyes burn with the tell-tale ache of tears.

E- Except Kimblee.

L- “Look, I’m sorry having me on your squad is screwing things up for you,” she mumbles. “But I don’t know how to do…any of this military stuff. I don’t know how I’m supposed to talk to people, I don’t understand anything the teachers are saying in class, and I don’t think I’m going to survive the constant working out and marching and chanting. I just…” She breaks off with a shrug. “I put all my energy into not feeling sad. So I don’t know how I’m going to do this.”

I- “I have not,” Roy says in as dignified a manner as possible. “All the squad members have their own nickname. Kimblee’s is Crimson. I’m Flame. You’ll be Hawkeye!”

E- Even when he leads her down to the banks of the river, even when he produces two inner-tubes from behind a bush, even when he insists the water isn’t cold (it is).... Even when he insists that they both strip down to their underwear before getting in (he turns his back politely until she’s settled inside the inner tube, then pulls off his own clothes with no shame until he’s wearing only a pair of boxers). 

F- For a split second when he opens his eyes, he’s back in the desert. They’re in the middle of a firefight, Hughes is shouting in his ear, and all he can think is that he’s never going to have a chance to [REDACTED BY AMESTRIS MILITARY] (Y'all, the effort it took to find a sentence starting with "F" that *wasn't* Roy saying "F*ck".....)

Thank you @mistresslrigtar for tagging me 😊 (I love tag games! They're an outlet my tendency to ramble endlessly about things I really love). My word is SWORD! All sentences from the current WIP chapter of On My Honor.

S - Sliding silently inside, he quickly locked the door behind him.

W - "Where are you going so fast?" A hand grabbed Link's shoulder, jerking him to a halt.

O - "Only one way to know for sure," Link said.

R - "Right." They never would, though, Link already knew.

D - Distantly, the clock in the center of town chimed the late hour, and a surge of panic told him he needed to leave, and he needed to leave now, but his feet were fixed to the floor.

anyway! here's a bit of a one shot inspired by chappell's newest unreleased BANGER which you can listen to here if you want x

“Have you met Alex yet, Henry?” Nora asks, eyes gleaming as she dumps her chin into her hand, rhinestones on the brim of her hat sparkling under the lights. “You may’ve heard of him. The Giver. Ring any bells?”

Henry’s eyes drag slowly from upwards from the shot glass and wash rag in his hands, two fingers past the rim, black sleeves rolled up to his forearms. He blinks.

“...As in Lois Lowry?”

“Ha,” Alex grins. Common mistake. He raps his knuckles on the bar. “Not quite, sweetheart.”

At that, Henry’s eyes sweep to him—fucking finally—and narrow.

“Sweetheart?”

Alex tongues carefully around the toothpick in his mouth, flashing his teeth. “Would you prefer something else? I’m always open to suggestions.”

“Sweetheart is fine,” Henry says demurely, “for those who’ve earned it.”

There’s a bit of a hush as June and their other friends snicker behind his back, and Alex feels the toothpick drop limp to his lip in surprise.

It’s Nora that honks another laugh and claps Alex hard on the shoulder, then turns to look at Henry over the bar again.

“Oh, you have no idea what you’ve just done,” she tells him cheerfully. “I am positive we’ll be seeing you real soon, Henry.”

Alex drags his boots all the way to the dance floor.

I’ll give you a snippet!

“He’s coming back.”

You looked up from the laundry you were folding to find Judith standing in the doorway, a solemn smile on her face. She must have heard the sobs you were trying so hard to smother into one of Daryl’s shirts; the one you always grabbed on your way to the laundry room when you thought no one was watching, though you never washed it. His scent had long faded, but that didn’t stop you from finding comfort in the worn button up.

I am so very intrigued by the 'Send him back now or we're all screwed' WIP, what's up with that one?

Do you by any chance remember that time in Fullmetal Alchemist (I believe around the 2nd episode) when a villain said omething like "I'll send you straight to hell!" and Edward Elric replied:

"Nah, me and God, we don't really get along too well! Even if I went, he'd probably just send me back here!"

....Now picture the God of Death. And Edward Elric. In the same room.

And remember: Ed is the disciple of Izumi Curtis. The Housewife(TM). Who has mastered the Legendary Weapon know as the Broom.

So, hypothetically... what would happen if God of Death happened to accidentally misplace Ed? Or better yet, BOTH Ed and Cale got universe-swapped?

...God of Death better run for his immortal life... neither universe is going to let that stand, let alone the participants 😂😂😂

(I have several separate ideas for this plot bunny, actually, each equally chaotic, some mutually exclusive. If ever post it, it could be possibly a list of one-shots, or perhaps two separate stories that go slightly different ways. Either way, there's a lot of TCF x FMA ideas in my brain, guys...)
