Kenna was on her way to Mary her chambers as she heard that the queen and her friend had requested to talk to her. The gaze went up to the guards standing in front of the doors as she told them that Mary was expecting her. Walking inside and looking at her friend. "You asked for me to come. Everything okay, Mary?" Making sure the door was closed behind her when she walked in.

It's no secret that things aren't going that well between her and Bash. Despite her trying and knowing they were forced to marry each other. They tried, yet something changed and it was tense between the two of them.

It was well known that her friend her worries were her concern of France and that she still didn't had conceived an heir. Kenna can't imagine what that must be like for Mary. Meanwhile for her she got into her own marriage by force. She didn't had a choice but to marry Bash. "I am sure." Kenna said, what else is there to say. Should she confide in her friend and say that there's trouble in her marriage. There's nothing Mary can do about it

Mary was fair enough with saying that, with answering her questions if she did answer hers. Kenna then sat down on a chair, to make sure she could say what she wanted. "Things aren't that great between me and Bash. I want to make the marriage work, it feels like we both just grow further apart from each other." The woman then admitted to Mary, what is there for her to help the other out. She did not expected for this to be her reality or the fact this would be what marriage would look like.

Mary didn't know how to answer that question but she was also worried about Mary. Francis had confirmed that he was concerned about Bash but the two couldn't get past the question of how the other was. Right now all she wanted was to help her friend, not wanting to push but not wanting to let things fester and be seen as oblivious of her friend's needs. "Are you sure?" she countered softly, concern showing on her face.

"I will answer those questions if you will answer mine," she countered. It was the only other thing she could think of. but she didn't want this to be about her, because it wasn't, not really. Her issues were the ones that were always there, the concern of France and the lack of an heir. The concerns of her competence as a queen and wife and the unhappiness of Francis. She could see it and hear it the whispers as she passed and the looks others gave her but she didn't want this to be all about her.

She didn't wanted to bother her friend with her marriage as Mary had her own things to worry about. "Me? Everything is fine, Mary." Kenna said as it was far from the truth, she will be fine and everything will be better. Maybe she and Bash can work things out, maybe they can't. It's something for her to solve and see if she can fix her marriage.

"Is everything okay with you? Did something happen?" Trying to move the topic about her over to what Mary wanted or if there was something going on that Mary wanted to share with Kenna.

Mary had wanted to speak with Kenna, wanted to check in. It wasn't lost on her that there was tension between her lady-in-waiting and Bash. She wasn't sure what had changed but if she could help she would certainly try to do so. Things at court were tense due to rumors about potential war or pressure from other families and countries. She didn't want that to come from within her inner circle as well.

When she heard the other enter she turned from the window she'd been looking out and gave a gentle smile. "I actually wanted to ask you the same thing," she countered, side stepping the question herself in favor of checking on her friend.
