"it seemed like a good plan," dean reasoned, looking at the bottomless cardboard box in his arms. he'd thought it would be easier to carry everything in all at once so that the paper bags didn't get soaked by the rain. he'd put all the bags into an empty cardboard box, but hadn't thought about how the weight of the grocery bags might be too much for the untaped bottom. he looked up from the rain soaked bags and vegetables on the ground. "i think we can still salvage this stuff. i will admit though, this wasn't my best idea." he set the ruined cardboard box down and started to pick up the bags and spilled groceries. "you gonna help me, or just laugh?"

dean raised an eyebrow, looking over at robert from the driver's seat of the car. they'd been on the road for a while, and they'd reached a comfortable lull in their conversation. they'd paused their podcast at a toll booth and hadn't turned it back on since. "i guess, i heard a lot of ghost stories while i was in college cause i went to school in pennsylvania where damn near everything was supposedly haunted. why do you ask?" he kept his attention on the road, but he was listening for robert's answer.
