Coming back to this particular C pic, which has sparkled endless comments, today (still very busy days for me & I gave in and binged TCND - this explains the ungodly hour):

Tellingly enough, the wording of the Finch and Partners IG post was quite suggesting: 'an intimate lunch' means more than promo, almost a personal get together with, at the very least, carefully selected people.

Was she coat-tailing? Very probably, to the extent she is understandably interested in getting more acting (directing?) projects after OL. And to make it clear: there is nothing bad to it.

Did she know Cooper before? There is no way in hell to confirm it with 100% accuracy, but my guess is no. Someone, as it has been pointed out, obliged. These are the simple, expected minimum benefits of a PR agent, a Rolodex and of networking. And it is true: she has been consistently on Finch's list and invited at many of their events since at least 2016. Which is to say, since IFH? Oh. OK. No further questions, Your Honor.

Was it a reward for dragging along McIdiot at that Netflix gala, the day before? Even taking into account her visible lack of enthusiasm, I am afraid things are not as simple and mechanic as alternatively dangling the proverbial carrot and stick. Look, here's why "Teen" CAN'T be Billy (and it'd make me extra pissed off if it is.) Spoilers for Agatha All Along and Marvel comics!

Billy is a Scarlet Witch fanboy first and foremost. He's also a shameless nerd for all the Avengers, like Kamala Khan. Making his introduction be as an Agatha fanboy, even just as a con, is maddening. Why need her or help her get powers back when he'd know how dangerous she is to Wanda and himself by extension? He's already extremely strong on his own. Why nerf him?

For Billy to be here in search of Wanda, it means they would have majorly skipped his origin story. He had a new family he was born into and a team, adventures, love, all before he AND HIS BRO went to find Wanda. Hell, he thought she was dead like everyone else for a while.

Billy got Wanda back with FAMILY help. His brother Tommy. Uncle Pietro. Grandpappy Magneto. (I do understand the MCU won't let us have the last two.) A family quest to find family being turned into a Halloween Wizard Of Oz journey with an enemy would give me a migraine. They re-imagined House Of M so recognizably with Wandavision, so why would they fumble Billy's comics here?

There's no reason Billy's name or story would be forbidden to Agatha. Who would have made that spell? Why? Would she even recognize him when his last name is very different and family life has no connection to Wanda at all? I doubt he keeps blabbing to her that he's Wanda's son if he's really pretending to be Agatha's stan. (There's another theory of who Teen is that makes more sense for his name to be hidden, but his comics aren't in my wheelhouse.)

When Teen said a spell in the first episode, it was some Latin mumbling instead of his will. Billy in the comics, at least when he's still young, wills things to be in order to use his magic. He says what he wants like a mantra, out loud in plain words. I know the MCU might have nix'd this since he didn't do it in Wandavision either, but I still have hope they'll give it back. It shows how powerful he is, like his mother who could change all reality with an errant thought.

If the boyfriend calling was Teddy, that means they also skipped the couple growing closer on their team and the whole Skrull/Kree prince thing by this point in the timeline, and I'm just already so mad it's taken this long to even get one HINT of Teddy in the MCU, so if they really made his introduction be a neglected phone call I'll scream. He did stay home and worry and cover for the twins while they searched for their mom, but that's AFTER they'd established themselves as heroes and Teddy had his own family crisis. (They should have introduced him in The Marvels, I'm—)

No red in Teen's color scheme nor any resemblance to young Asgardian or Wiccan costumes. It's the weakest argument but the wardrobe dept usually gives us something. Billy had the color scheme in Wandavision and got to mimic his Wiccan costume besides (not the ugly galaxy pajamas they have him in nowadays). There's a promo poster that DOES have Teen in red with a headband, but it still seems off to me. Seems like a trick.

Granted, if Teen is really who most suspect to be another character close to Agatha, he doesn't have that color scheme either and I'd completely understand why...

Now stop making such smartass posts in the tag casually calling Teen "Billy" until we know. Because not only are you raising my blood pressure, but it's disrespectful to people who like to avoid untagged spoilers and you may just be setting them up for no reason. It's rude.

Daylight MV by Harry Styles - why was it not the unreleased Two Ghosts MV 2.0? A timeline.

This video, released on July 19, 2023, is jam packed with Blondie and Haylor references. I think it was almost the sister project to the never released Two Ghosts MV…until it wasn’t. And I have an idea as to why.

Don’t believe me that it’s Haylor AF? Go read this amazing summary by @womanexile at whose request I am writing this timeline.

As we know, Harry was filming the video on and around May 10 and 11, 2022, based in articles and pap/drone photos from the time, like this Daily Mail article:

Let’s review the timeline:

April 22, 2022 - Harry performs at Coachella weekend 2 in Indio, CA.

April 26, 2022 - OW is onstage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas when she is served custody papers. H is not there.

But where is H? According to the article - circus training!

Late April/early May - Harry starts training in Kent, England with family-owned Sanctus Circus.

From the article:

“A source told [the publication]: Harry has spent weeks being taught circus skills for this video — he wanted it to be a real spectacle.

'It is probably his most expensive video yet because as well as all the rehearsals, it was a huge set with loads of extras and really extravagant costumes'.

The source revealed to the publication that the singer pushed himself to the limit in order to perform the stunts. Adding: 'It's been a real undertaking and the finished product will prove why he's one of the biggest pop stars in the world.' “

So late April - May 11 - circus stuff. Which is part time and on-and-off, I imagine. Then filming. And this was an UNDERTAKING that would have required a lot of planning.

He even arranged to have live animals, as outlined here in an article with the horse and parrot handlers:

- he was supposed to the riding *the WHITE horse*. And when that didn’t work, he ensured the white horse remained in the shot.

- they only had a short time to teach him with the animals, but he listened and did exactly what they said.

There’s background speculation that the still images captured (Birdrry) might be for a Daydreaming or Grapejuice or other video, despite the bird. After all - we already have a Daylight MV!

And then, on July 18th, 2023 at his penultimate HSLOT concert in Lisbon, Harry has the bird image shown on the screen as he finishes singing Daylight.

After the concert, we learn that the video will drop in July 19th at 5pm UK, 12 pm Eastern.

And while the As It Was video promo stated: “It’s just us”, this one proclaims “It’s just a video, just for you.”

Before and after FACE era, I used to frequent this forum for nonshippers. They have this intense hate towards Jimin that they try to mask but fail terribly at doing so.

As soon as he released his stuff, they were saying he was going to enlist already, his album wasn't good, and that Tae and Jk would do better.

They praised Yoongi and Namjoon, though.

And in my head, I was like...these people are so pathetic and jealous. Why in the world would Jimin enlist so soon? How did that make sense?

I like the breakdown in the Deadline article. They pointed out that Challengers had the 2nd biggest opening of an R-rated romantic drama since the pandemic, second only to Don't Worry Darling which debuted to $19.4M. That movie mobilized Harry Styles hardcore stans and it was a mystery thriller. Challengers is not that. And many of the articles compare it to Saltburn which also has the homoerotic elements, creative visuals, catchy music, morally dubious protagonists, popular young cast while also being considered artsy with its Oscar winning writer-director and cast full of Oscar nominees and winners. Challengers already made more domestically and globally in 1 weekend than Saltburn made throughout its entire run. Deadline also breaks down how much money was spent on TV advertising (which is generally the most expensive item in promo budgets). It was $4.3M which is not a lot. The promo tour of Challengers got a lot of visibility because Z leaned heavily on her fashion card and was able to do stuff like getting the covers of the American and British Vogue, have a spread in the NY Times and get all the fashion and entertainment accounts to cover her. Amazon didn't have to pay for that coverage and they didn't even pay for the international premieres (which were not huge events, but allowed Z to make an impression), only for the LA one

Overall what we have to consider is what would be the box office if the movie if Z was replaced by a good but relatively unknown actress. First it's highly likely that the movie would not even get a wide release and would be limited to a few art house theatres and would not reach $5M globally through its whole run. So already the presence of Z made a $20M difference. And for Amazon another big aspect regarding profitability is how well it does on Prime and Zs popularity will also help in getting people to watch it there

I think all of that is mostly true. I do think the thought from some on the other side that the movie got so much press because Z and so therefore it should have seen more of a bump from that, but to your point I'm not sure that this film gets a widespread release without her in the first place.

Don't Worry Darling had Harry Styles, but there was also so much drama around the production and Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh that I think it had initial interest because of that and then kind of flamed out afterwards.

Murphy is currently on the promo trail for Oppenheimer, a rare mass press outing for the notoriously low-key actor whose occasions of visible happiness at having to be out of the house can be counted on one hand. The massive global campaign for the Christopher Nolan film, where Murphy plays the father of the atomic bomb, J. Robert Oppenheimer, has naturally involved an endless stream of junket interviews. Murphy, however, is having none of it.

In one particular instance that's now going viral (not that he'd know what that means), his co-star, Robert Downey Jr, uploaded a video while walking through an event in Paris filled with the cast of Oppenheimer. When he lands on Murphy, his hand shoots up almost instinctively to cover the camera, barely looking away from the conversation he's having. Not today, sir.

Murphy's anti-internet agenda has been making the rounds of late, ironically, on the internet. An interview at the start of the year for his film The Party, where he revealed that he had never seen the classic ‘disappointed Cillian’ meme because he doesn't even know what a meme is prompted a wave of internet celeb interview archivists to comb through the records of his longstanding rage against the machine. [the anon from the "not-a-company-stan" answer] in the age where artists are getting their fame from tiktok (ice spice comes to mind) this idea of being in a notorious company really fades. there are artists in big companies that get nothing (be it kpop or apop), and artists without a company that go viral and famous and rich. ice spice has put out more music and getting more promo (a song in the barbie movie) in a shorter amount of time than some artists that have been stuck in a notorious label for years with no album (chloe, normani). i think it's just outdated to think an idol has to stay with their group company. blackpink didn't, CBX didn't, DO didn't, LAY didn't. they are proving it's perfectly doable to stay with their group work in their previous company but manage their own solo work separately. it seems a new paradigm is coming and idols aren't afraid to do what's best for them with the fear of being blacklisted by sm. i don't think they would take their solos elsewhere if sm was handling them well. there must be a good reason to leave for other companies, going as far as setting up a new whole company for themselves. in bp's case it's obvious, everyone knows that yg blocked work offers for the members, and they are huge now, so staying would be detrimental. if companies were stepping up and doing the best for an idol's solo work then they wouldn't leave, right? that's what sounds logical to me. also sm is so shady financially speaking lmao. maybe i don't pay taxes cuz i don't qualify for it, but i am trusting CBX knows what's best for them when they choose to leave. and if jaedo ever leaves with their solo work, i will know they are doing the best for themselves too cuz they know their reality better than we do.

I stated before that it is not always the right choice to stay with the company. I agree on that. However, fans like to say their bias needs to go all the time, with and without a reason for it. Changing a company is a big risk, a new beginning. And there are very few successful stories.

Apaprently, he was a winner of an idol-show and was supposed to debut in a group, but was evicted due to surfaces rumours about his behaviour in school. He changed companies. He was mistreated by his original company, he had the reason to start anew. He debuted. Good for him.

Now, back to Taeyong and JaeDo. Tae got two solos in a span of a year. With his own songs. Does he need to leave SM? JaeDo, a gay couple, got themselves a unit with only one additional member, Jaehyun can flirt with his bae openly without a break during their promotion. Both will get solos in 2024. Do they need to leave this year? Before enlisting and a break away from the public of 2 years?

SM is not just executives who steal money, it's personelle. Managers, choreographers, make up artists, songwriters and in-house producers like Kenzie and Deez - all those people who have seen neos grow up, who like them and go drinking with them, to whom neos send presents and go to their weddings, who can go an extra mile and write a personal song (Kenzie, MinGtion) or make BA ugly clothes presentable, fit to elevate the idol they like. It's a community. To uproot and go elsewhere is to leave most of them behind, start from scratch, waste years of earned advantage.

In general, i feel recently there has been sensitivity from anons (not just in your blogs but other blogs too) where if they see a compliment towards Tom and it doesn’t follow up with a compliment for Z then they immediately call the owner of the blog “not a true Z fan”. For example recently I have been seeing some anons upset that blogs haven’t talked about challengers enough when they hype tcr even though we did not get anything regarding challengers, not even a still from set. Right now we got the tcr trailer so of course everyone will talk about it. In general, I think 80% of the convention around Tom is always slightly judgmental or negative imo “why is his hair like that” “why is he wearing that when Z looks so amazing” “she is Barbie he’s just a ken” “he doesn’t look good” “why is he aging like that” …etc so when blogs (rarely) compliment something regarding T some anons will start whining and accusing people of not being a true Z Stan.

I am on Twitter and Daemyra stans are now throwing sh*t at Matt Smith and saying he was their last ally and something got to him 😂 I have never laughed so hard because they now say they won’t watch season 2 because Matt said that they will explore D and R relationship as a relationship not 100% romantic but somehow connected to Viserys. To me it was obvious from the beginning that Daemon cares more about Viserys than Rhaenyra but it is simply because to make me ship characters 3 promo photos are not sufficient enough. I am immune to this type of bullsh*t because 2 people could look beatifully together but their relationship could be toxic as hell. But unfortunately Daemyra stans only care about appearance ignoring toxic behaviour. Not to mention incest.
