@finclgicls / the house on sorority row but make it cheerleaders instead for audrina & the muse of your choice! / audrina, your muse, and their fellow cheerleaders accidentally murdered their cheer captain before a frat party when a prank went wrong and subsequently hid the body in the pool that hadn't been cleaned in months. during the party, audrina and your muse check the pool to find the body has gone missing. soon, the members of the cheer squad start disappearing or dying. the connection between our muses is up to you, though keep in mind that audrina is very domineering so your muse would most likely hates her guts or follow her blindly.
it really was an accident. though audrina hated olivia and thought the cheer captain spot should've been hers, it wasn't something she was willing to kill for. especially since the school year was almost over. the prank was supposed to just make olivia think her little frat boyfriend was cheating on her with the whole squad, but a physical fight happened instead and then audrina pushed olivia and olivia hit the pool ladder and oops... the squad barely had time to think before people started showing up for the spring fling party at the beta omega zeta frat house. they really didn't have any other choice than to shove olivia's body under the tarp that covered the nasty pool the frat brothers never bothered to clean. no one would get into that thing willingly, so audrina at least didn't have to worry about that.
instead, she had to worry about the squad opening their fucking mouths. she just needed time to think. she needed to formulate a plan, but that was hard when she was too busy trying to make sure her squad didn't squeal or someone didn't find the body. that was a little bit harder when, just a few minutes ago, some guy pushed another into the pool, bringing the tarp down with it. audrina held her breath. the guy came up for air, laughing. he didn't scream about a dead body. blonde hair didn't float on the surface of the water. in fact, besides that one guy, there didn't seem to be anything else in the pool...
oh god. olivia's body was missing.
immediately, she saw her teammate's sickened face in the crowd. jesus, they looked like they were going to faint and puke at the same time. quickly, audrina shoved her red solo cup into a passerby's hand and marched over to her teammate. audrina grabbed their chin, forcing them to look at her. "don't. freak. out." she harshly whispered through gritted teeth, brows raised expectantly. yes, this was bad. yes, olivia's body was missing. someone must've found it, because dead bodies didn't just disintegrate from a few hours in the water or up and disappear by themselves. that meant someone at the party knew. she dropped her hand from their chin and looked around the crowd that was scattered around the frat house's backyard. "where's maisie and trina?" she needed them all together. she needed to protect her squad. she needed to make sure none of them betrayed her.

audrina didn't want to smile at delilah's affectionate words. she had a reputation of being a harsh bitch, which was entirely earned from the moment she joined her first cheer squad in middle school. if anyone else at their squad, or their college in general, saw her all boo'd up? she'd probably have to drop out. her reputation was very important to her, along with her position on the squad, so wasn't it totally stupid of her to get involved with a fellow cheerleader? "well, you're right, it's stupid. but it is the rule." audrina hid behind that rule as best as she could. she'd avoid getting hurt if she clung to that rule, though she knew it was hurting delilah. "i don't want you to give me up either!" she smiled at her, rolling over to press a light kiss against her lips. in their private moments, away from the squad, she could afford to be sweet—she'd kill delilah if anyone else found out. "i like you too, but i'm hungry. let's order something?"
delilah wasn't used to not getting what she wanted - or rather, who she wanted in this particular circumstance. audrina was everything she wanted in a person, but it was complicated due to being teammates. "i know that it's frowned upon, but i just - it's such a stupid rule. what we do behind closed doors doesn't impact our ability to cheer." she responded with a sigh and a gentle shrug of her shoulders as she slowly accepted that for right now, they had to keep things on the down-low. "i guess i'll just have to get over it for now. i'm definitely not ready to give you up or... this up. i like kissing and touching you way too much." well, that and just being around her in general.

for / @wutheringdevotion participants / audrina & your choice of muse, as long as they're a cheerleader! story / based off of here; audrina and your muse are cheer captains of rival cheer squads. in public, they hate each other with a passion. behind closed doors is a different story. if anyone were to find out about their little affair, their lives would be ruined, so they must keep it a secret. it's up to you if your muse is more willing to go public, whereas audrina would rather die. setting / her college's football field during a game!
it wasn't like it was a surprise that her paramour (a word she only knew because of a v.c. andrews novel) would be at the game—if their rival team was playing against her school, then yeah, obviously their head cheerleader would be there too. that didn't stop audrina's heart from nearly beating out of her chest. she worried her teammates somehow knew about her secret relationship, despite the fact that she worked tirelessly to keep it a secret. she had to train her eyes not to fall on her rival cheer captain, had to train her fingers not to shake when she thought about how she'd trace the lines of their skin later that night. it was too overwhelming and stole her focus. it was sickening! audrina prided herself on being the best of the best, she prided herself on her steely guts and infallible resolve. so why did she get so nervous around them?
audrina huffed out a breath, hoping to blame it on the routine her team had just finished minutes ago. when the person that she desperately tried to ignore came into her field of vision, she had mere seconds to put on her act. her brow raised and she fixed a haughty smirk on her face to really sell it. "hmm... i thought i caught a whiff of cheap perfume—what is that, something by j.lo?" audrina earned a few goodhearted laughs from her squad, but she knew it was weak. it was hard to actually be mean to her rival cheer captain, which was something audrina thought would never be possible; she was a rancid bitch to everyone else in her life, including her own family. "i think we did that same routine, what, two years ago? i'm glad you were so inspired by us, though. imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all."

fucking audrina! he never tried to know his packmates more than he absolutely had to, but her bitchiness was legendary. vikram already never liked her, but her smug little expression made him want to give into the wolf again. he saw her eyes scan over charlotte and then himself, sizing them up. a wicked grin overtook her features. “ahhh... you know her, don’t you?” she stepped closer towards them, arms crossing over her chest.
vikram didn’t respond, only narrowed his eyes. “audrina.” he warned, a hint of a growl in his voice. her grin only widened, head cocking to the side. though he didn’t know her very well, he knew she was highly perceptive. it didn’t take her long to notice the closeness between them, his possessiveness over charlotte.
“what is she, your girlfriend?” audrina sniffed the air, the scent of pine quickly fading and a hint of something that came from both the people in front of her—laundry detergent, maybe? she cackled fiercely, clapping her hands together. “that’s it! she’s your girlfriend. your human girlfriend. wait until alpha gets a load of this.”
it wasn’t against pack rules to date humans, though highly discouraged, but it was certainly against rules to have their human know about their lycanthropy, let alone have her hanging around during the full moon. vikram stepped forward protectively, nostrils flared and his brow furrowed. he didn’t notice charlotte slipping from his grasp until audrina looked around his shoulder to see charlotte inching away.
“shit, charlotte.” vikram turned away from his girlfriend and grabbed for audrina with both hands, pushing her body backwards. “god damn it, audrina, just let her go home and i’ll deal with all the bullshit later, alright? go back to the pack.”
audrina sneered, using her bodyweight to push forward, almost out of his grip. “what are you gonna do? fight me for her? i can rip her to shreds before you even reach us, vikram.”
his eyes glowed with rage. “what’s worse in the pack’s eyes? me having a human girlfriend or you murdering someone in cold blood? you’re not even in wolf form, you don’t have an excuse. now fuck off!”
she stared up at him for a few seconds, silently weighing her options. she wasn’t an actual murderer, despite what her wolf did to woodland prey. “she knows our secret now, vikram. either you told her or she found out, but now she knows. you know protocol.”
“oh, fuck protocol. i love her, audrina. she made a rash decision to follow me out here because i’ve been lying to her for months. she can keep a fucking secret, alright? alpha doesn’t have to do anything to her, there’s no reason to involve any of them over this.” vikram pleaded, his nails digging into her shoulders slightly.
she waited for a beat before she relented, taking her bodyweight off of his hands. vikram released his hold on her. “fine. i’ll let her go, but you owe me, vikram.” with that, she turned back to the tree line, quickly disappearing within the forest.
vikram sighed heavily, feeling the tension in his muscles dissipate. they weren’t out of the woods yet… literally.
shit! charlotte!
twisting on his heel, he scanned the area for charlotte. he began running towards the direction of the parking lot. “charlotte!” he lowly shouted into the night.
charlotte wasn't sure what had gotten into her. maybe it had been the stress of school or the fact that her boyfriend had been lying to her that had made her act out of line. it was unlike her to throw caution to the wind, but she had been desperate for answers. wanted to confirm her suspicions, so she knew vikram wasn't up to anything else.
she grips his hand. she's squeezing as tight as she can. what if this were her last moment with vikram before she got her throat ripped out by an animal? did she really put herself through the torture of med school to not even make it to residency?
there's a woman now in front of them, in the same state he had been in when he had found her. it didn't bring her any comfort, knowing that she could turn again at any moment, and rip lola to shreds. not to mention that she was most definitely stronger than her, even in her human form.
they're talking as if she's not even there. the brunette wants to speak up, but had caused enough trouble for the night. knew the best thing to do was to stay silent as the two talked. this couldn't be good for vikram and an incredible wave of guilt comes crashing over her. what if she had just put him in trouble? what would...what would the consequences be? she should have just stayed home. waited until morning for her answers, like he had promised her. but no, she had to be stubborn. jacob had said her recklessness at times would get her killed.
face turns red as audrina mentions the state that he's in. it did seem wild, that someone would trust a man who looked mad to lead them to safety. charlotte had always been a terrible actor, and if she'd have to play the part...
she lets go of his hand and slowly begins to move backward. lola doesn't know if it would be best to run, but maybe it would. get home safe, and pray that vikram would make it home, too. // @someotherdog

audrina kept centerstage, arms akimbo like the war general she always felt like she was. she saw the squad as her underlings, and besides stella, they treated her with the reverence she (believed that she) deserved. not even because they were accomplices; from a young age, audrina always held power over other girls. she put herself in a position, be it within a simple elementary school clique or the cheer squads she had always been the captain of, where her word was law. she was the tastemaker. she decided who was cool and who wasn’t. she decided that she was the leader, and most girls just followed after her without protest.
right now, audrina held their fates in her hand.
unfortunately, they held her fate in their hands, too.
audrina broke her stare only when stella began to speak. turning her head to the other girl, her teeth clenched as stella berated their squadmates. stella had the audacity to look amused by the whole situation. that bitch. didn’t she realize her fate was in audrina and the team’s hands as well? she always acted so above it all. like she was better than cheerleading or too good to follow audrina’s rule like the others. how annoying! this was not the time to annoy audrina! “fuck off, stella.” she called from her position in the middle of the room, turning her attention back to the other teammates.
but then stella was crossing the room and grabbing her by the arm. “the fuck?” audrina exclaimed quietly, wrenching her arm out of her grasp when they were off by themselves. her eyes widened at the way stella was speaking to her. act natural?! nothing about this was natural, and audrina wanted to smack stella upside the head. her own grip on reality was tenuous at best and it felt like the house was going to crumble down around her at any moment.
“wonderful idea, stel! how do you suggest we clear the party? calling the police?” obviously, that wasn’t going to happen. maybe they’d be able to act just as shocked as everyone else when the cops eventually locate the body—alive or not—somewhere in the house, but there were too many people involved. though she had a tight grip on her girls, they could easily crack if there was a prison sentence looming over them. shit was bad, fam, she thought. audrina brought her hands up to her face and pressed her palms against her eyes. “jesus christ. this is all so fuckin’ stupid.” she was going to be in prison before she could even graduate college. her father probably expected that from her. fuck if she was going to prove that negligent bastard right. “what are we supposed to do then? starting a fire or something would just make firefighters come and then the police soon after. no one will leave if we cut the power or anything like that, so i’m for real out of fuckin’ ideas.” / @finclgicls
stella couldn't help but stifle a chuckle as she observed the chaos that had unfolded. it was almost comical, the way audrina seemed on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and the other cheerleaders were practically tripping over their own feet in their desperate attempt to ensure the leader of the cult they had not been at fault for disturbing the body. in a way, Stella couldn't deny the undercurrent of worry that gnawed at her, but she had a twisted sense of satisfaction in seeing audrina squirm. there was a certain poetic justice in witnessing people get exactly what they deserved—and audrina's panic had turned out to be the highlight of stella's day. in hindsight, if she had known how much it would rattle the other cheerleader, she might have gone through with it herself.
"well, it's safe to say it wasn't lara, madelynn, or christie," stella chimed in, her voice laced with a hint of amusement. her fellow cheerleaders gazed at her with gratitude in their eyes, and stella shook her head in mock disbelief. "honestly, you all are far too clumsy and dumb to have moved anything without drawing attention. and jackie? she was upstairs in her room, making those dreadful sounds for anyone within earshot." as the situation continued to unfold, stella couldn't help but relish the drama. in the midst of chaos, she found a peculiar satisfaction in the notion that audrina's perfect facade was unraveling, and she was secretly delighted to be right in the midst of it all. not that she hated audrina, no. but there was always the sense that she could handle being taken down a peg or two.
cheerleading, in stella's eyes, was merely a means to an end. she had never harbored any illusions about making a career out of it; she was in it purely for her own reasons, and she intended to stay involved for as long as it suited her. that was precisely why audrina's persistent attempts at peer pressure had always fallen flat with stella. if she were honest, there were times when audrina's determination appeared downright menacing, sending a shiver down stella's spine. at this very moment, for instance, audrina's demeanor was akin to that of a predator circling its prey, poised for the next kill. stella couldn't help but think that anyone unfortunate enough to get in audrina's way was in for a world of trouble.
however, stella's casual attitude towards cheerleading, her refusal to elevate it to the level of obsession that audrina had, was perhaps the very reason audrina had limited influence over her. in the present circumstances, stella found herself deeply concerned, not just about locating the hidden body but also about her involvement in a crime. the moment the group of cheerleaders had collectively agreed to protect audrina from the clutches of the law, choosing to pass hiding the body under the tarp, stella realized that she had unwittingly become an accomplice to a murder. this newfound perspective weighed heavily on her conscience. not because of olivia, though, because she really needed to make sure her criminal record was clean and now because of audrina, it probably wouldn't be.
with a defeated sigh, she pushed herself off from the wall she was leaning in and walked with purposeful steps towards audrina, taking her by the arm away from the other cheerleaders.
"drina, you can huff and puff and these morons will probably only get more terrified than they already are, and it's not in our greatest interest to have a bunch of terrified cheerleaders running around, and none of them is gonna be able to act natural now," stella mulled over what they could do, which right now seemed nothing, because they had a fucking body missing. "we need to find a way to clear the party so we can look for it ourselves before anyone bumps on a dead head and fucking grossly bloated olivia." + @someotherdog

"oh come on, we've been over this." audrina sighed, rolled her eyes. delilah was right. it wasn't fair to her. it wasn't very fair to audrina, either, but that didn't matter. she was cheer captain, she couldn't date her teammates, and she wasn't exactly out. these were all things she had previously explained to delilah, but clearly she didn't understand. (deep down, it was because audrina was afraid, but she'd never admit that.) "you know i'm not ashamed of you," and she wasn't, she was ashamed of herself, "but we can't be together. not publicly. we'd get kicked off the squad if coach found out we were fraternizing." as much as she liked delilah, she'd never let anyone jeopardize her position. cheerleading was all that audrina had.

it really, truly, honestly was not a personal thing. audrina did not murder olivia, it was simply manslaughter, and she hadn’t meant for it to happen. yes, olivia totally stole the cheer captain spot out from right under her—their coach really did have a vendetta against audrina, probably because she was washed up and coaching college cheerleading instead of, like, doing whatever old women did—and audrina hated the idea of anyone following after someone else other than her. she had been cheer captain of her high school team and the captain of the team in her sophomore and junior years, but coach sampson decided it was time someone other than audrina led the girls. maybe she saw the iron fist that audrina used. maybe they realized audrina didn’t care about inspiring others, she cared about having power. the team was her own personal cult.
so, yes. it was incredibly tragic what happened with olivia, but it was an accident. the rest of the team went along with the prank because they rarely ever disagreed with audrina without some sort of punishment from her. except for stella. everyone else was a victim to audrina’s moods. she was the only one that voiced their disagreement with audrina and lived to get away with it—wait, no. lived wasn’t the correct word, because audrina did not kill people! lived comfortably. that was better. stella was the only one that could go against her word and didn’t end up completely iced out. if someone fell out of line, all audrina had to do was tell the others to pretend she didn’t exist and suddenly it was like the girl really didn’t exist. there were more creative punishments, too. like playing a prank in which the victim was supposed to believe their college sweetheart was having a fucking orgy with the rest of the cheerleading team.
now olivia was dead and her body was missing. that meant only two things: somebody knew what they had done—what she had done—and now she was at their mercy. or the scarier option: olivia wasn’t actually dead; that she climbed out from under the tarp and out of the pool, maybe to turn in the squad to the police. audrina couldn’t go to jail. her parents would bail her out in a moment’s notice, or at least she hoped they would, but she’d still have to spend a night or two in jail before that happened. if olivia wasn’t dead, then audrina would have to kill her for real. except that she didn’t kill people! not on purpose! stella had the audacity to sound annoyed with her. like, hello, their futures were on the line? audrina may have pushed the bitch, but they helped her hide the body. they didn’t go to the police immediately. that made them accessories—she watched enough law and order: svu growing up to know that. she waited as stella shot off a text to their group chat, fingers tapping mindlessly. jesus, she hated being out of control. what were they going to do? search a frat party for a waterlogged corpse, or perhaps they should’ve kept an eye out for a soggy cheerleader with her skull split open?
“alright, fine.” audrina said exasperatedly. the pair began to push through the crowd on the backyard lawn, fighting their way toward the house. she kept a keen eye out for her teammates and the missing body. once they found their way inside the frat house, audrina sat down on the arm of the couch, making sure to pose perfectly. she never wanted someone to look at her and think she looked less than perfect. the other girls on the squad eventually began to wander in. once they all arrived, audrina got up from the couch and waved the girls over so they’d all follow her up the stairs. finding a quiet room upstairs, audrina slammed the door shut and turned her ire on her squad, “okay. what the fuck? did any of you tell?”
‘i’d never tell, i promise!’ ‘what are you talking about, audrina?’ 'i would never!' 'are you kidding? i don't want to go to prison!' ‘nobody said a word, i swear!’
the chorus of girls nervously whispered. it didn’t take them even a moment to understand what audrina was referring to. audrina put her hands on her hips, tilted her chin high, and raised a brow: “then who the fuck moved the body?” / @finclgicls
stella actually rather enjoyed the position of power that came with being a part of the cheerleading squad. the exclusivity that came with it. the fact that not many people could be in her shoes—not to mention the boost it was to her social life. and she was a social butterfly. or at least she passed off as one. and while she wasn't a part of, she fully believed their small group was plagued by hoard mentality, otherwise, how could they explain how audrina's sheer hatred of olivia—no matter how she said she really didn't hate her—caused the whole team to play a prank on the blonde which ended on the back of her pretty little head banged up after accidentally hitting the pool ladder? now she didn't think she had ever seen anything like what she saw that day behind audrina's eyes, but it was equally scary, and hot—it was a shame that stella couldn't really stand her squad mate.
she had relaxed. really relaxed as the party went on. true to her own status, stella involved herself in way more lips than she was supposed to. it was all a game for her. miss little dead girl? buried right to the back of her mind, not much unlike the name of mrs. soft lips underneath her. it wasn't until a commotion starter and someone said something about josh pushing zack into the pool that she even untangled herself and hopped out of the couch. someone inside the pool was not in the bingo card for stella and suddenly, olivia was pushed right to the forefront of her brain again. watching the scene, the brunette held her breath, thankful that for this time around, no one seemed to be paying attention on her. she couldn't hide the turmoil this time around. guilt crept in, even though she wasn't the one to push olivia to her death.
it wasn't until audrina was manhandling her and right in her face that she even snapped out of it. she swallowed back schooling her features back into neutral mode, taking the last sip of her drink and throwing her red solo cup away. "i don't fucking know, audrina—" stella spat out through clenched teeth. what the actual fuck was happening? where was the body? the one they had hid right inside the pool not many hours ago. her eyes searched for the other girls before giving up and pulling her phone from her back pocket shooting a text to their group chat calling them to meet at the living room. even if just to find some other place they could regroup. "come on, there is no use for us to just stand around here looking for them, we'll wait for them to come to us and figure out what to do then," nobody seemed to suspect when a group of hot girls came together. + @someotherdog

“nobody said you were stupid.” vikram replied sotto voce. that was what upset him the most, he knew how intelligent she was, but her need for proof led her into the wolf’s den—figuratively and literally. he never thought she’d act so impulsively and follow him out to the forest. maybe that was his own fault. no, it was all his fault.
at least she didn’t drag too far behind him as vikram walked rapidly, weaving them through trees. he thought charlotte was starting to comprehend the danger she was in. the danger he was in, too. if any of his pack found out his human girlfriend spied on them…
well, shit.
vikram stopped short just as she began to speak, both hearing the low growl coming from the brush. his heart rate beat so fast he thought it would break through his chest. looking down at charlotte’s wide, scared eyes, he worried it would be the last time he ever saw her. “‘fraid not.” on both counts, unfortunately.
“i—” vikram faltered, chin trembling. i don’t know, he was too frightened to say. there was no way they could outrun the wolf. he could try to protect charlotte with his body, but in human form, even with his supernatural strength, any wolf would easily tear through his body to get to charlotte. for the first time in a very long time, he wanted to cry.
“vikram?” a voice carried out from the same direction as the earlier growl, coming into the clearing under the bright light of the moon. audrina kilgore, his packmate, approached the two the same way that vikram had run up to charlotte moments ago: completely naked, covered in blood. “what do you have there? and why have you shifted back already? it’s been, like, four hours.” she asked, equal parts confused and amused.
“fuck.” he mouthed, his grip on charlotte’s arm tightening reassuringly. did it have to be audrina, of all people, to catch him with a human? “you know i hate the wolf, i shift back as soon as possible every time.” he fought the urge to call out audrina rolling her eyes at him—she, like many of the others, loved being a werewolf. “i caught this girl’s scent and wanted to get her out of here before someone kills her. i can be a nice guy sometimes, y’know.”
“debatable!” audrina commented with a sly smirk. as if you have room to talk was clearly on vikram’s lips, but she started speaking again before he could interrupt. “so you’re not sneaking off before alpha releases us with some random human? hmm…”
“audrina, she doesn’t deserve to die because she was unlucky and stumbled upon us during the hunt, okay?” vikram protested, glancing down at lola. he needed to get her out of there unscathed. “i was just going to walk her to the parking lot so she didn’t get lost or hurt.”
“and she was just cool with you walking up dick and balls out, bloody and dirty?” audrina crossed her arms over her chest with hauteur.
“apparently. you don’t know what she gets into in her personal life. maybe she gets into crazy woodland blood orgies all the time… which is obviously what i told her we do out here.” vikram didn’t know how long they could continue speaking as if charlotte wasn’t there, but he just wanted to distract audrina long enough that she could get away, or he could convince audrina to leave them alone. “just go back to the pack and i’ll take care of it all, okay?”
"well, yeah. of course i'm armed. i may be stupid for coming out here, but i'm not that stupid." she was no skilled marksman like her brother, but he had taught her a thing or two when it came to handling a gun. if she needed to fire one, she'd know how. but how effective would it be against an entire pack? she had no idea. hell, the silver bullet thing could be a myth, for all she knew. who's to say that the lore she had found online was all true?
the scent of pine had done its job, but if vikram were able to find her - then it was clearly beginning to wear off. there wasn't anything around she could use to conceal her scent, besides maybe the blood covering her boyfriend. but even that was quickly drying, and wouldn't do her any good. as he grabs her by the arm and pulls her through the forest, lola begins to realize the severity of coming out here during the full moon, knowing that there was a pack just waiting for prey.
she nods. with the way he's handling the situation, she feels like a child. when she'd do something reckless, and jacob would have to reprimand her for it. she didn't like it. but what did she expect, when she went against vikram's wishes?
there are so many questions forming inside of her head. it's not an unusual thing for the brunette. if charlotte loved doing anything, it was asking questions. she wanted to get the full story. know every detail. make sense of it all on her own. this was no exception to that.
"don't-" she begins to say, but quickly shuts her mouth once she hears rustling coming from somewhere nearby. clutching his side, her eyes go wide as she looks at him. a low growl can be heard. "please tell me that was you or my imagination." lola says through gritted teeth, trying her best to keep her voice down. it was probably useless, though - if they were anything like real wolves, then no doubt they'd have an insane sense of hearing. "what should - what do i do?" // @someotherdog
