Phoenix looks up from the newspaper in his hands as Trucy speaks. ❛ Yeah , Truce ? ❜ His eyes flick down to finish the sentence he was on , before looking back at her. That look on her face was a familiar one - he's seen that feigned innocence on more than one occasion. He can't say it doesn't fill him with a mixture of emotions. The main ones being curiosity and , well , fear.

He moves to put the newspaper down , shaking his head as he does so. ❛ What're you gonna show me ? A new act ? ❜ As soon as he asks , he knows full well that's not the case. Sure , she gets excited when she learns a new trick , but not this excited. Something's definitely up.

❛ I'm never too busy for you , kiddo. ❜ Too concerned to enable her mischievous streaks ? On occasion. But never too busy.

"Umm... Daddy?"

Trucy's expression is the picture of innocence as she stands, hands held carefully behind her back, beaming up at her father with a smile on her face. In other words - she's definitely up to something. She's sure he's very aware of it, too, but it doesn't worry her - after all, Daddy has somewhat of a mischievous streak himself, and she knows that he knows that whatever she's planing is something he'll ultimately be able to handle.

Still, though. That wide smile and those innocent eyes can only speak to one thing - trouble. But it's actually not what one would expect that she wants to talk about today.

"Are you busy? I have something to show you, you see, and it really can't wait!"
