⚜Your family members are mostly vampire hunters. mostly? Well, as a vampire hunter you would have to do an induction ritual in your family and often people don't make it. In the past they would have died but now they are excluded from the vampire hunter existence. 

⚜Your older sister (25) didn't pass this initiation ritual but you (17) did. 

⚜You would now be trained to be a Vampire Hunter. 

⚜Your father took over the training, which isn't that hard because you do boxing. 

⚜Your grandma would teach you because she is very experienced with vampires and their weaknesses. 

⚜This would be your first hearing about the legendary Mikealson Family. 

⚜Well you only knew about vampires but when you find out there are more than vampires you were amazed.

⚜You hate vampires but are interested in werewolves. 

⚜ You have a neutral relationship with witches. 

⚜ Your sister has come to terms with not being a vampire hunter. She had never had much interest in hunting.

As much as it annoyed them, your lovers let you go on this little adventure of helping Hayley. The wolf had became your close friend after you lost the Scooby gang because they couldn't let go that you were seeing the Originals.

"I'll be careful Elijah. Hals won't let nothing happen to me." You tell your noble boyfriend who frown as Klaus rolled his eyes.

"No offense love but you are unbelievably dumb when it comes to trusting people."

"Niklaus!" Elijah said as you blinked tilting your head as Klaus raised an eyebrow.

"No.....I just like people."

"And there is nothing wrong with that baby." Elijah says softly kissing your head as Klaus smirked.

"Besides if you are harmed I'll tear the little wolf's thoat out." Klaus says as you shivered shaking your head getting peppered with goodbye kisses from Elijah. Both Rebekah and Kol gave you their own goodbye making Hayley blush watching Rebekah give you a heated kiss your face was burning as Kol chuckled kissing your cheek.

Klaus was pissed hearing that witches of New Orleans was plotting something against him so the hybrid travel down to the city which would allow him to be left alone with you. Elijah had followed to find you since you hadn't called in awhile and also to find out just what the witches were planning.

"I'm Elijah. You heard of me?" Elijah asked Sophie after saving her from vampires. After talking to the witch about her sister, Elijah was taken to the cemetery and the witches couldn't stop you from running to your vampire.

"Elijah!" You shouted throwing your arms around Elijah who growled feeling you shiver as your sundress wasn't doing much to keep you warm. Elijah took off his suit jacket placing it over your shoulders and Hayley walked out seeing Elijah and her heart fluttered with how handsome the vampire was.

Hayley met Klaus, Rebekah and Kol so it was his first time seeing Elijah and found Elijah every attractive. Hayley felt a little jealous seeing the vampire cupping your cheek seemly showering you with affection.

"No. She isn't the first, we've shared a lover before." Elijah tells Hayley opening the door for her seeing Klaus taking you upstairs. As days passed Elijah went missing making Kol and Rebekah drive down worried about Elijah and missing you.

"Angus bought up a doctor out in the bayou to check on the baby. Y/N thought it was a bad idea, Hayley thought it would be safe."

"Since then Rebekah hadn't let Hayley near her too." Kol says as Rebekah crossed her arms huffing as Elijah chuckled touching you abdomen.

"Protecting Y/N and baby is important so Rebekah did what she had to." Elijah says kissing your head as you giggle. You all settled for the night you and Rebekah slept in Elijah's bed that night with on Elijah and Rebekah cuddled into his side.

Hayley came down the next morning finding you in Elijah's lap as he reading with Klaus and Kol sitting on the couch reading also. You layed your head on Elijah's shoulder listening to his soft voice reading to you and Rebekah came in.

"Is this the first thing you do when we are all back together. Vampire book club?" Rebekah questioned as Hayley watched catch a glimpse into an everyday look in the Mikaelson home.

"Yes before Mikael drove us away." Rebekah said watching you stand in front of the fountain rubbing your bumb.

"Yes, sweet love." Rebekah said kissing your temple when Kol joined you both standing behind your resting his chin on your shoulder.

You three fell asleep like this and how Klaus and Elijah found you three. Elijah gently covered you three with a blanket and gently rubbed your baby bump then sat in a chair and Klaus taking another. It was nice to enjoy the peace while they could while keeping an eye on you and soon to be newest Mikaelson.

So I want to start this off as saying that Hope’s feelings for her father are COMPLICATED at best.  Klaus abandoned her by the age of 10/11 years old and has done some things that have left a mark on her.  I will be tagging this post as an anti post just in case people don’t want to see this on their dash but DO NOT REBLOG THIS POST IF YOU SEE IT IN THE TAGS. I WILL BLOCK YOU.  This isn’t be straight up bashing him though or anything either. I play this character so there is clearly something that draws me to him as well.

Okay,  Hope grew up from 2-7 years old hearing stories that are painted for a CHILD to hear.  Her mother never once bashed her daddy to her and Hope knew of him as a KNIGHT IN SHINNING ARMOUR.  She thought of this original hybrid as the guy that will protect her from everyone.  Hope didn’t have a negative bone in her body about in during this time.  She couldn’t wait to meet this man that would treat her as a PRINCESS.  Hope often asked about Klaus and would fall asleep to this idea of a man that she remembers.  Hope was TWO years old when her mother drove the u-hual out of NOLA with a toddler in the front seat snoozing away.  Hope has memories of him in terms of APPEARANCE and this feeling of SAFETY and LOVE that wrapped around her being.

Then let’s fast forward to when Klaus and her meet at SEVEN years of age. Hope’s every thought about him is right. He treats her as royalty,  gives her the best snacks,  goes up against the enemies for her and more.  BUT then the hollow forces them to leave each other again.  Hope struggled against her mother when her father flashed away and the last thing she remembers before tears flooded her little eyes was YELLING for her dad.  It is traumatizing to a child that thinks this whole thing is her fault.  She spent days not talking or eating before her dad called her mother and she gets to see him over a screen again. 

Hope spends the next for years  (7-11) years old there are LETTERS, PHONE CALLS,  FACE TIMING, and GIFTS sent to her.  It isn’t a lot and for her after a while it isn’t enough.  Hope then tries to SEE HIM via astral projection. Hope sees her father as the MONSTER that he was for the first time in person.  Sees Klaus covered in blood and SCREAMING at her.  It isn’t the blood and murder that has her scared the most  (It did a little bit)  but the fact that Klaus yelled at her. She waits for him to explain himself to her in a letter or even send her a gift as a way to distract from the situation at hand but he never does.  Her father that used to laugh with her on the phone does nothing. He abandons her completely and that is when Hope grows a sense of disdain for him comes from.

Hope LOVES him and will always love him.  He is her FATHER but he is also the one that set the bar on the type of people that she finds comfort in. Hope will do everything for her father because she craves his affection and wants him never to leave her again.  Hope also hates him a little bit because of what he did.  She does understand why he had to leave her at seven but at 11 years old,  that was a little much to her. 

At the age of 18,  Hope sees her father again when her mother was kidnapped.  Hope gets to hear the words  “I guess I was always bound to leave you broken.”  which echos in her head even YEARS later.  Klaus protects her from the hollow and does an act that could have been left to Elijah alone.  Hope is left without him once more and this time for what feels like for good. Hope has little bits of memories of the man in person but not enough. Hope wishes that she would have been BETTER for him. There is a lot of things about a father that Hope never got to experience long term. He was never going to help with homework, read books to her, teach her how to paint a landscape, and more. They missed so much time that it is a lot of craving what SHOULD have been when it comes to missing him. It feels as if she failed him in every way so every single day is a fight to prove herself as if he is still there.

Hope is TWENTY-TWO when she Klaus comes back to life and in that time,  Hope is eager to make up for lost time.  She throws herself into showing him things and trying to hear the praise that she wants but even when he does give it the past is still knocking at her heart. She loves him but also recognizes that he was a crappy dad to her in a lot of ways. He had some amazing moments as well. Hope goes back and forth on her feelings of him. Some moments, she LOVES him and other moments,  she HATES him for all the wrong he did to her.  She will do so much for him because she loves him but there are also lines that never will be crossed as well like hurting someone that she loves for him unless that person is a threat to her family.

She fears becoming him just as much as she wants some of his qualities.  Hope never wanted to cause people the amount of destruction that Klaus did and in the end,  she does end up doing wrong that mirrors her father.  She is NOT him though even if sometimes, she will embrace it to the nines  (no humanity her).  Hope doesn’t approve in all the things that he has done even though she is thankful that he did some of what he had done because it led to her existence. How Hope feels about being a COSMIC MISTAKE is another thing.

Jade. Tyler Lockwood seems to be an incredibly undervalued character in the Vampire Diaries roleplay universe, if our few applications for him over the past eighteen months are anything to go by. Your portrayal, particularly your insightful take on the day-in-the-life question, brought Tyler to life for us in a way we’ve been looking forward to for a long time now. We enjoyed the diversity of your headcanons and are confident you can play all sides to this entitled bad boy and newly turned wolf. I haven’t watched all of the shows but there’s been so much effort put in to make it all blend together - it means that I don’t feel like I’m missing out by not having watched them all. It’s all been thought out incredibly well. ⤜ What is one subplot/element from the Plot page that you are particularly looking forward to seeing in this roleplay? As generally speaking as it is, I honestly am interested in the plot in it’s entirety. It seems like we’re at a calm before the storm with tensions rising and ultimately it will build up to be something chaotic and glorious. The storyline with the witches does sound incredibly interesting though and I’d love to see what the Mikaelsons returning will bring about and how it will all affect the rest of the characters.

⚜ Desired Character: Tyler Lockwood

⤜ Why do you want this character? 

He’s the kind of character I love to play: a tormented soul who covers up his emotions with an attitude. I love delving into this kind of character’s mind and exploring their softer side that is hidden from sight. (Also I’m a sucker for angst)

⤜ What are your future plans for this character? 

Tyler has a lot that he has to come to terms with. Being a werewolf is just the tip on the iceberg. He’s been repressing his emotions since his mother passed away and has been exerting them in such an unhealthy way and he needs to evolve past that. Repressing his emotions has also caused an emotional disconnect to potential connections with people and that’s something that has to change. He can’t be this brooding teenager that blames the world forever. I think that coming to terms with being a werewolf will play a big part in all of that, by getting him to accept himself. He won’t think of it as a curse anymore, but a gift. A means to channel his anger until he gets to the root of it. I think Hayley and maybe even Caroline could play a big part in that, but time will tell.

⤜ Put yourself in your character’s shoes. Give us a few lines to describe a day in the life of your character… Where do they live? Where and how do they spend their time?

Tyler still lives at home. This partying lifestyle means he hasn’t quite got his act together yet and since the incident, having Lydia in the next room is a weird kind of comforting. He knows his dad’s schedule well enough to know when to make himself scarce because altercations between them are always nasty, and usually end in more than a few bruises on his end.

He’s attending Tulane on a football scholarship and is currently studying communications. He does the bare minimum, only just making that passing grade that maintains the scholarship. The only thing he actually makes an effort with is attending training and games. Everything feels really trivial to him and in those drunk and high states - more so since Vicki’s death - he is constantly asking himself what the point of the effort he’s putting in is.

On that note, Dark Blue is his favourite hang out because it’s out of the way so he rarely sees a familiar face. He used to take his latest squeeze out there for drinks. Now it’s more just a place for him to go and drink in an attempt to escape things. Though alcohol doesn’t seem to be having the same affect on him anymore.

⤜ Give us three headcanons regarding your character of choice. 

Gardenias always remind him of his mother. They were her favourite flower and there was always a bouquet in the vase in the living room. Every so often, he’ll get a downwind of them and can’t help but pause for a moment. In the early years following her passing, he found himself looking around for her before realisation dawned. Now he just focuses on the momentary calm it washes over him.

His father’s wrath is something that has kept his thoughts about other guys hidden down deep. A phase, he’d call it when he caught himself looking at someone. He’s scared to think of how his father would react and so he’s ignored it and focused on his attraction to women instead. (If he was able to explore that, he would definitely swing both ways.) Because as much as he hates his father sometimes, somewhere deep down, some part of him still wants his father’s approval.

Out of all things, Tyler really can’t stand coffee - not the taste nor the smell. He’s never understood the appeal or why so many people are absolutely obsessed with it. If he ever goes for coffee with anyone, he’ll get himself a hot chocolate.

⤜ What are some plots you’d like to explore with your character?

+ His coming to terms with being a werewolf and figuring out how he fits into that world whilst balancing something of a normal life. + Developing relationships in which he can actually talk to people. + Exploring his sexuality. + People finding out his involvement with Vicki’s death.

How long has your character been in new orleans? Do they like new orleans? What brought them here? Are they planning to stay?

Carson was practically raised in new orleans, after mystic falls froze, he moved with his family. He adores new orleans, after all it’s his home. he does want to travel the world a little, but he would always return back to new orleans.

Are they one of the returned dead, if so how long have they been alive for? Or are they one of the unfrozen, if so how are they handling that the world has moved on without them? Or are they one of the survivors, if so how did they handle the dead returning and now the unfreezing?

Carson is a survivor.  He is rather curious as to how all these events seems to have occured, but he is glad the dead are being brought back to an extent, since his father had been brought back, while he is happy the freeze has thawed since his mother is back too, and able to get to know her.

carson is a pretty innocent boy. he had a difficult early life, with illness, but was so glad trinity was there to help him though it all. at the moment, i’m just going to concentate on his character and decide headcnaons as I go along.

after being born, carson was left on the doorstep of elena salvatores clinic. it was a cold night, and had elena not been working late, the poor mite may not have survived the night. luckily he was found and taken in by the family. they finally decided on a name honouring caroline and everything she had done - carson eli - eli in memory of caroline’s mother.

Carson was only nine months old when, elena was frozen in the ice, and soon after they moved to mystic falls. then at six, his father was killed, and carson along with his siblings were brought up by their foster mother - trinity.

being so young, trinity became like his mother, and carson often found his way to her bed with nightmares about his father or just nightmares in general. At this time was when his magic started to become unstable, and trinity found him the help to control it. and everything in carson’s life started to become ‘normal’ again.

that was until the age of eight where he became unwell. thinking it was just something little, he begged trinity to not take him to the hospital, but when he suffered a fit, his mother knew she was right to be concerned. he spent almost a month in hospital suffering fits, and eventually became diagnosed with epilepsy, and they tried to control it.

soon after his discharge, however, he suffered another fit, which saw him hospitalised again - and as the scared little child he was, he spent his night cuddled up on the bed with trinity. another fit led to him comatose for a few months before thankfully waking up with no long term damage.

After this they managed to get him onto a trial for new medication and although there were small relapses at  13, 16 and even small fits even now, his quality of life has remained. he tried to keep in shape to help himself gain the advantage, and usually avoid big spells which can put damage on his body and mind.

* for starters, that right there is a “klaus look” ( there are many klaus looks. many, many, many klaus looks. ) but anyway:

NO. 1: she has an apartment. really, she does. and it’s a super cute little one bedroom place that she bought fresh out of college and decorated with cheap furniture and she painted it herself and she has the cutest curtains and a bathtub that is truly legendary --- not that she’s actually ever there to see it. most of her nights are spent falling asleep in his office in one of the chairs there, or curled on his couch when she’s too tired to drive home. he jokes about giving her one of the many spare rooms in his freaking mansion, but that seems too permanent and she never entertains the idea for longer than the length of a glare. bonus points are for the nights when he drapes a blanket over her ( because she’s literally always cold. perpetually cold it’s a thing to marvel at, truthfully. ) and lingers just a hair longer before he does whatever klaus’ do. 

NO. 2: there are not many things that klaus mikaelson’s billionaire, playboy, womanizing, asshole, douchebag friends are scared of. literally, the list is probably reduced to being audited and caroline forbes. she’s shorter than most of them, and like sixty pounds lighter, but there is something about the way she will tear right through one of their little booze cruise, bar hopping, guys’ nights and render them all terrified with one simple glare. and because her boss is an ass that has no respect for timetables or routines or schedules, this happens a lot. and the more he’s smirking about it, the more angry she is, and the more terrified they are.

NO. 3: she’s one of few people that knows what he looks like when he’s close to breaking. it doesn’t happen often, and it’s subtle ( usually it’s just in the way he stands or the way his eyes harder or his jaw clenches under certain circumstances ) but she’s the first one to know and the first one to pull him back from it. mostly because she doesn’t understand the word no, so when she puts her foot down and says it’s time to go or that he needs to cancel and interview or a meeting with some foreign diplomat or something else --- then they cancel. no questions asks. and she gives him what time he needs, no questions asked, to put himself right again and then they move forward. like it never happened.

NO. 4: he doesn’t technically need to fly across the world to go to meetings or to check in on his partners or any of that. like there’s literally not much that a video conference can’t solve, but he does anyway. mostly because of her. because she makes a comment once, when he’s teasing her about something, with a tiny shrug of her shoulder and a casual mention of not ever having been anywhere. and he decides it won’t do. so they oh so casually just head to a new city every few months so that he can touch base with contacts and so what if they stay a few extra days? so what if he insists on the whole ‘well, when in rome’ mentality and they just happen to see all of the sights and she looks way too adorable when she’s grinning up at the monuments and pouring over the museums and she’s so caught up in the fact that she’s in rome / paris / tokyo / london / milan / anywhere really that she  doesn’t realize until they really get back on the ( private, eyeroll. ) plane that he probably doesn’t actually need an assistant with him on these trips.

NO. 5: klaus mikaelson does not at all fit in in mystic falls. he goes there twice, and the first is just because it’s a pit stop on the way to bigger and better things, on a way back to the city maybe or somewhere else and she casually lets it slip that they’re x amount of miles away from where she grew up and how she misses her mom and boom, they’re there. and she gets a little bit too much enjoyment about seeing him sitting at her old kitchen table surrounded by pictures of her growing up trying to make nice ( and looking weirdly nervous ) around her mom. and when her friends stop by she pretends not to grin at the little beginnings of a bromance he has with stefan and the way damon actually looks intimidated and bonnie keeps looking between the two of them with that ‘i can totally see it before you do because grams insists i’m a witch and i am all knowing’ smile. ---- the second time he goes back is for liz’s funeral. and it’s the only time caroline has ever asked him for a week of sick leave in the entire time she’s been working for him.

Hope’s phone contacts are NOT fancy by any means.  Generally they are in alphabetical order with Last Name first and then First name last.  So for example:  Landon Kirby would be placed in her phone as Kirby, Landon.  Even her parents and romantic interests don’t get fancy little names as that ruins the organization of her phone and for a girl that requires control to the degree of the highest order that simply can not do.

So we see that Hope in the episode where they are going to Mystic Falls High for the day that she can slide right into the popular crowd with ease.  I truly believe that even though she was different that she’d at least have herself a small group of friends.

Hope would have gone to say Mystic Falls High and then later onto Whitmore College.  Hope still would have hidden herself away from the world with the name Hope Labonair.  Since we are only changing the school in this instead of everything.  Hope would likely go home to a small home   (small to her but still likely large of a 5 bedroom place)  at the end of every night growing up. Not sure who she’d be going home to as both Freya and Hayley are in New Orleans and neither can completely leave so that is still up for debate in my brain.

The tribrid would be good in school with likely a very high average grade wise  (although screwing the average up every so often so that it isn’t seeming like she is too smart).  Hope would be into sports but wouldn’t do them in teams at school. Hope is into dance, karate, football, and more. These are things that she’d do with the kids in the bayou growing up as a collective where there isn’t a fear of outing her.  Since Hope has a werewolf nature though,  Hope likely did get into a decent chunk of fights that Hayley would have to come down to take care of since you can’t outrun the nature of the beast. 

The best thing though about this idea is there is NO ALARIC SALTZMAN.  There is no one treating her like she knows a lot one moment and then the next telling her that she needs to step back the next. There isn’t the twins bullying her from when the twins are 13 and above either. In fact,  Josie and Lizzie are likely friends with Hope.  Hope likely enjoys sharing SPELLBOOKS and EATING ICE CREAM on MOVIE NIGHTS. 

So the best way to explain it is to picture the version of Hope that was in wishworld number 2.  How Hope was flirting with Josie and seemed to be very much growing into herself better.

So from the moment that I started writing Hope Mikaelson, I fell in love with a Freya Mikaelson’s writing that has been apart of my Hope since then.  They no longer are around but there are a few things that I have just came to see as apart of my Hope.  The FIRST thing is that Hope sees Freya as her SECOND MOTHER and there are a few very rare moments that Freya has been called mom  (mama is reserved ONLY for Hayley)  The first time that Hope did it after her own biological mother PASSED away,  it came with tears and she was left feeling a sense of GUILT that washed over her. This is something that I carry to every Freya with permission  (I ask before inserting this headcanon IF I feel the like the thread is heading in this direction where she might say it).  

Because Legacies writes it as this whole family just up and leaves her alone,  that is a LARGE part of my Hope unless I’m writing with a Mikaelson family member.  Hope felt ABANDONED by everyone but the one that hurt the most was FREYA MIKAELSON.  Freya was the one that would teach her MAGIC and made things better when there was DARKNESS in the world.  It is where Hope learned about the world that her family would have grown up in terms of a belief system as her aunt was raised a norse viking woman even though in isolation from the generalized population.  Freya was the one CONSTANT in her life and then it was gone.  Hope never forgives that even when she comes back home and learns to navigate a world as a Mikaelson.

Freya taught Hope spells that WEREN’T known by the school aged children,  had even stated in the show that she saw Hope as her own child to Klaus in season five of the originals.  Freya is the one to call when she gets into trouble with Alaric and needs someone to bail her out by smoothing things over. Hope does slowly stop calling Freya often when the family seems to go their own ways between the ages of 18 to 20 years of age.  It isn’t until Hope comes home and needs someone to help her complete the transition that Hope really leans on Freya again.  I loved the way they had Hope complete her transition in legacies minus the part where she was KIDNAPPED and everything.  I decided that we will keep that part of it and let Hope have Freya do MAGICAL SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST. 

Overall,  Hope admires the older witch for having the power to be her teacher,  to be the one that stayed behind when everyone else left from 7-18 years of age.  Hope loves that above all,  Freya values family and that has been seen over and over again. This is the type of person that Hope wished to be growing up along with her mother’s values.  No matter the issues between the family,  Hope will love Freya until her last breath of air.
