There's a large amount of tumblr who definitely have 0 money, but still did donate at the beginning of things, and now definitely don't have the money to donate, but there are plenty of people on tumblr who don't donate as much as they did because the messaging has worn off.

I don't think making people on tumblr all into like, people reposting the messages people are posting here on other sites is going to do anything more than make people think of tumblr as a scam site (even if things are vetted) and like that's basically a fundraising job. I run a smallish mutual aid and that still is a little bit like a job sometimes.

I've seen a good TED talk from a person who does a bunch of fundraising recently which is also useful on the whole guilt based fundraising thing:

But like I think the ways how people fundraise have to think about these certain things:

If something is ongoing, then treat it as ongoing, don't make it urgent even if it is. There was a lot of initial donation towards people when the genocide started, because people did want to get people out as soon as possible, but no matter how urgent things are in regards to people needing money, if something is urgent every day the message wears off.

Like people at all income levels felt like they were helping initially, but there were plenty of people at the start saying "please don't treat this as a sprint, treat it as a marathon" who got shouted at and told to shut up when like yeah it's a marathon and people will be demoralised who might be able to buy that cup of coffee everyday but now they see the coffee as my little treat which makes me happy when all I see everyday is war crimes and I can't help.

Treat people as intelligent beings. People HATE being advertised to and especially hate being tricked into being advertised to. Asking for donations is a form of advertising, advertising doesn't always mean capitalist fuckery it just means you want eyes on something for a reason.

So like there was a person I knew who was obviously desperate to have more people look at his work, so he would do a poll about a character which was obviously framed in such a way with one very horny answer that it would get people to reblog it. It always felt so slimey and dishonest to me. Like it's not something fun or organic, it's just desperate.

When people make submissions to the mutual aid I run I specifically ask people not to do long posts telling me all about their problems, it's not that I don't care it's that I don't need to care, I need to know their solutions. If they need money to fix their car so they can get to work, then that's what the request is for. It's absolutely useless to make me feel sad at the same time. If there's money in the mutual aid, then we can help, if there's not then we can't. People think you need to make people feel sad in order to get help, you don't. People want to help. The thing which makes people get help isn't how sad they make people, it's luck, if you're seen first then you get helped first. Sometimes constantly making people sad also just makes people not to want to feel sad any more so they won't interact.

Along these lines is that people want to feel like it's optional to donate towards a cause. That's why people call people who try and get you to sign up to charitable causes on the street by approaching you "Chuggers" (charity muggers). It doesn't matter if someone has £5 spare a month to donate to the Dog's Trust they'll put more than that in a cute statue of a dog with a coin slot in the head than they will to someone approaching them with a clipboard.

The whole charity drive thing is great, it can raise loads of money, but the whole thing behind it is community. That's great for raising a lot of money for something which happens once every 6 months. If people need regular help that won't work.

What I would suggest is instead working community in a way that reddit did. I've seen a bunch of things on reddit of people helping each other out with money in interesting ways. There's some which is a very organised informal loan process, but there was one where a whole bunch of people get together and donate $1 all to the same person.

It's community, and it's enough people that it always makes a difference, and it was regular (like once a week) and there were enough people to pick up the slack so not everyone had to do it every week.

I think what would probably be effective is if there was a community and once a week people picked from the list of vetted people, and then everyone donated a little bit. There doesn't have to be only one of those groups either. There could be multiple, but people could just join one and get a sense of community action rather than a sense of individual hopelessness.

I hope this has been useful and not just me looking like I'm complaining rather than trying to make things more helpful towards individuals

ive been trying to look up the research i read a while ago about the negative relationship between fundraising for charitable causes and using guilt- or scolding-based messaging (to wit, that even though we think as humans that logically yelling at or scolding or guilt tripping someone will make them donate more to a charitable cause, that actually making the target audience feel bad causes an aversive response that lowers the amount of money you raise, or causes a "slaughter the sheep" effect where someone donates once but forms no ongoing relationship with the charity and avoids you from then on, both principles being pretty strongly supported in other areas of human behavior research afaik?) because ive been trying to formulate a post about it that is more likely to be received as constructive rather than critical (which it is not meant to be, critical that is), and since corpo scam charities and NGOs (also scams) are mostly the ones doing this research every search result i find about it is marketer nonsense.

however, this post from 2016 which starts out with the marketing expert relating a story of the time he almost killed his childhood friend with a rock is like one of those horrifying reddit posts that get turned into youtube spook compilations, which is SO funny in this context

Besides her insane face card, let's talk about what a great character she is.

I know people hate her because she didn't love Gun or wasn't a "loyal wife" (who even said Shingen wifed her up? Did we read the story properly?).

But that's exactly what makes her so refreshing and intriguing — her goals and ambitions. And God forbid a woman actually has those!

I agree, even I didn't like the way she treated Gun sometimes, but that's where the story breaks away from the usual conventions. She's not your typical mother; there's so much more to her than meets the eye.

Sure, a lot of her interactions with Gun were to further her own agenda, but in the end, when she sacrificed herself for her son, that was absolutely heartbreaking. I'm quite sure she never loved Shingen — it’s obvious. But maybe, if he had looked her way even once, a lot of the tragedy could have been avoided. Maybe they could have even become a true couple — who knows?

Somi is the bare minimum of what a well-written female character should be, and I genuinely appreciate that.I mean, I don't expect much from PTJ anyway, so honestly, thanks for this.

We haven't explored her character much yet, and I really hope that when the Gen 0 arc or Gapryong’s past is revealed, we get to know more about her.

That being said, I truly love this unbothered, nonchalant queen. She seems so classy and graceful — there’s an aura about her that speaks of something deeper, something I can’t quite put into words.

For me, she represents strength.

Strength to deal with a scumbag of a husband.

Strength to watch your own child turn into a gangster.

Strength to face the consequences brought on by that pathetic excuse of a husband.

And strength in never bending in the face of adversity.

I can't help but feel sad imagining how she must have felt when Gapshitryong used to wh*re around, hiding behind his ridiculous excuses.

I genuinely pray that she gets to experience some peace and happiness, and that she's living a better life now — she deserves that much, at least.

scout: meet patricia, but her friends call her patty! you do not get to call her patty. patty is a woman with a good head on her shoulders. she’s just tired. eight boys will take it out of you. patricia willis is the matriarch of the willis family. nothing escapes her eye, it’s just a matter of whether or not she wants to do anything about it at that time. the woman is almost always busy, and always getting run ragged behind many grown men. this doesn’t negate her ability to have fun. with a generous sense of humor and always in search of a hearty belly laugh, things with patty can go 0-100 so fast in any and every direction. interacting with patty shows you how scout would behave if scout were a pretty woman. a glass of wine located in one hand, and her phone in the other, nobody can say this woman doesn’t work for her money. she is almost always on the phone. cutting deals, making moves, and getting people whacked. oh yeah. she’s a mob mama. she feels bad sometimes because scout doesn’t call her as often as she would like, and when he does he’s normally wanting to talk to his brothers, or his cousins, and never her. she hears that he’s doing okay. that he’s happy. that his coworkers are nice enough, and he’s making money, and he promises that he’ll come home to visit one day. but he’s always so busy. she feels she brought this upon herself. she could never give her little jer-bear the time he deserved. and he left for it. when she finally managed to track him down for a surprise visit, the team was ecstatic to meet her. and not just because she’s got mob ties. scout has mob ties and that has never made them treat him any nicer. they just wanted to see the woman who created a kid like scout. she keeps a baby picture of him in the tub in her purse, it’s her favorite thing to pull out and show people. the team does get that photo copied so they can all have one. they just love poking fun at this kid whenever they can. she is nice enough to not absolutely mollywhop spy’s shit, but the second spy catches wind of her perfume, he is off the base. he can’t be seen by her. his head will be on a platter.

soldier: meet rose marie, friends call her rosie. an older woman with a no nonsense attitude, the team didn’t get to meet rosie. they just hear of her through soldier. and when he describes her, it makes sense why he is the way he is. oddly respectful, just weird. but she sounded weird. with unconventional punishment methods, and an odd sense of morality. like her work was wrong but the answer was right, and with soldier she got... close. close to correct. but she did love her son. as far as soldier was concerned, she was the best thing in his life. he misses her.

pyro: pyro doesn't know much about their mom. they weren't really given any time to be with them. pyro remembers being bounced around from foster home to foster home, and they don't really remember who was connected to what house. some of them were nicer than others, none of them kept pyro. so at that point... they don't really feel like they had someone they could really call a mom. they remember their older sister, but the memory fades more every day. it's a big reason pyro considers the team their family. the team has never let them go, even when pyro felt like they wanted to. they like that.

demo: meet isla! a firecracker of a woman, there was never a time this woman could be considered "nice", "sweet", "soft", or really any other stereotypically motherly trait. that was the men's job, not hers. it was her job to keep the household running like a tight ship. there was no room for any more people to be easygoing in the degroot line. especially in their line of work, where laziness can, has, and does get them killed. isla is honestly not sure how tavish has survived as long as he has. don't get her wrong, she's happy for it, she loves her boy, but she wouldn't think he made it to thirty. which makes her wonder how tavish makes his money. he urges her to not think about it. he takes care of her and that's all he thinks she should be concerned about. isla does not visit. she doesn't want to attempt to traverse an airport. so demo travels to visit her. this doesn't bother demo, really. it gives him plenty of days off, which is something the rest of the team doesn't seem to do. if anyone wants to join him, he welcomes it. it is easier to handle his mother when there's more than just him there. there's more targets for his mother to focus on. not that she is a woman who is constantly on the attack, it is just difficult, especially since the loss of her vision, to remain focused on just one person, or one thing. she never really grew out of her need to be kept in the know of everything. tavish has slowly been attempting to break her of this habit.

heavy: meet olga! the team would lay their lives down for this woman. heavy does not want that. the team would immediately step to battle for olga. heavy does not want that either. olga is the favorite of the mothers. she is kind, she is humorous, yet she is a very no-nonsense woman and the team loves her for it. they love how they can really just relax around her. heavy never feels like he can relax around his mother. his hands are normally very full with the team in and of themselves, he doesn't want his mother to see that he does, what he considers, a mediocre job at reeling in seven men and a pyro. olga doesn't know the words to tell her son that she doesn't give a shit. that all she wants is for him to be happy, and healthy, and hopefully keeping his head above water. so it does bother her that he is almost always so stressed. but she knows that there isn't enough methods of relaxation in the world for her son. she is very excited for him to retire. she just wants him to relax for a moment. and as she gets to meet the team, especially out of battle, and eventually out of mann co. entirely, she does get why he's decided these people are his friends. they keep him laughing. they keep him loose. they annoy him, but annoyance isn't stress, so she doesn't mind when her son lets out an exhausted groan. she's just happy he's living what can only be considered the closest thing to a normal life he can get.

engineer: engineer misses his mom. she passed shortly after he inherited the job at teufort, and she was one of the best women engineer ever had the honor of being related to. meet lillian, though most everyone knew her as lily. she was what the conaghers called the artist. every family had to have one, and she filled that role beautifully. and dell is glad for it, because her artistic eye influenced his mechanical mind. it made him more creative. it made him think outside the box more. and most of the conaghers would admit that they are not the most out there people. they do their jobs, they do it well, and they leave it at that. but his mother made the world seem more like something to be conquered, and less like something to resist being swallowed by. and she was never unafraid to get her boots dirty. engineer spent a lot of time around his mother. at least he feels like he did. he tried to spend as much time with her as he could. he did have to spend a lot of time around his dad. so his siblings got to be around his mother more than he did. but he was grateful for any moment he got to have with her. he just misses her.

medic: meet greta! greta was always a wild woman, and you would probably never meet another woman who is as vicious, intelligent, or frankly beautiful. though, if you tell her that, she will downplay the compliments. when interacting with greta, it makes a lot of sense where the doctor gets… pretty much most of his personality. she is loud, and silly, with some of the most uncalled for questions she can come up with. and the doctor always stayed around his mother. more than his father. and then his father died and that ended the opportunity for him to come out as anything other than a male version of his mom. greta, according to all who interact with her, is a wildfire of a woman with an imagination bigger than she should be handling, but dammit does she have a hold on that brain of hers. she is fairly certain she would lose her head despite it being attached to her neck. they have the same smile. along every wall in her home are photos of her two favorite men. professional photos of her husband (god rest his soul), her son’s many degrees and educational accolades, as well as some news clippings of the start of his life of crime. she thinks he looks very handsome in his mugshots! on the mantle of her home is her husband’s ashes. she misses her husband every day. but she gets to look at her son and see him, as well. he looks an awful lot like him. greta is beloved by the team. they don’t get to see her often, as the doctor usually goes to visit her, but greta being on the base is grounds for many bad decisions and fun stories. and she’s a beast in the kitchen. and the doctor is in much better spirits with his mother around! though, depending on your relationship with the man, could be just as much of a bad thing as it is a good thing. she loves watching her son work! she will tell him she never had a chance to accomplish the great things he does. and he hates when she speaks of herself that way. they don’t argue, and the doctor is more than happy to help tell a few stories of his childhood.

sniper: i don't think that snipes' parents have canon names, so i'm gonna give her one. meet jane! always known as a kind woman, mick was the best thing that ever happened to her, and she's not ashamed to admit that! the sudden appearance of a child in her life allowed her to truly shine as the homemaker she not only wanted to be, but was essentially destined to be. she had a tight hold on the mundy household, and ensured it ran as smoothly as any household with a rowdy, random boy crashed into. objectively the nicer and more supportive parent between her and her husband, it did turn snipes' into a mama's boy. he adores his ma. he would do anything for her, and if his parents were coming for a visit (which is very rare because sniper didn't think he would be able to explain everything) everyone takes off. they will not battle, just so sniper doesn't have to do too much to keep his parents both comfortable and out of the know. she thinks the team is... odd. but they're nice enough to her boy. so she doesn't really care. as long as they're looking out for him, she doesn't mind the team at all. and they adore her. they think she's funny, and truly just a doll. jane gives away that snipes likes to bake. she forces him in the kitchen to help her out, and it hits the team like a train that all of the pastries are normally him. they almost wonder how they didn't figure that out sooner, it's not like he's great at pretending.

spy: spy doesn't speak of his family often. what he's mentioned offhandedly, that the team has bothered to remember, is that his mother was a very mild mannered woman. usually quiet, and never showing herself, at least to spy, to be a woman of a rough nature, she was the softest experience spy ever had. and he didn't want to experience anything softer. his mother was a kind woman. a sweet woman. a motivated, and motivating woman. she was a good person. a hard worker, and a respectable lady. she passed shortly after spy became an adult. he thinks of her often. but who wouldn't?

I honestly didn't even realize until last night that the second time me and Liz ever interacted was because she posted on Tiktok on the exact 1 year anniversary of Karlie liking my comment July 25th 2023 where it all began...... and Liz does not post on there very often.

There's just no way it was a coincidence or accident especially when you consider she doubled down in recreating 2023 and she posted on 8/3 AGAIN in 2024 and when I commented she liked it.

It truly confirmed what I had long suspected which was that Liz and Karlie were both in on the posting of me on 8/3/2023 because the vid that got posted was 2 weeks old..... the vid of mine that Liz posted I had uploaded to Tiktok before Karlie's like and there was 0 chance it had only just been seen in recent. It literally had to be seen the day I tagged Liz 2 weeks prior, and saved till 8/3

Not to mention Liz's planned "I see you" caption knowing that night Taylor would play "I can see you" as a surprise song.

Some of you may recall my post where I explained that 2 years ago on Karlie's 8/3 birthday Liz Huett confirmed Kaylor was real by posting a video of myself from my all Kaylor account. This took place just 1 week after Karlie liked my comment that was made by my same Kaylor account

If you haven't seen that entire story yet I will link to the post because you're going to want to read that one!!

Well ever since then Liz and I have had a handful of interactions in which all of them were her still liking and replying to my Kaylor tiktok account that I have run for years, and some of these interactions happened on very specific days....... let's dive right in

This all began with the Liz interaction happening on 8/3/2023 and the Karlie interaction happening on 7/25/2023 please keep both these dates in mind as they are very important to what I show next.

Now on 7/25/2024 on the 1 year anniversary of Karlie liking my comment, Liz posted to Tiktok in which she hadn't in awhile... with very koincidental timing.

So I commented reminding her of our interaction last year / how I'm still a huge fan of her music and I specifically added a purple heart to reference her as the muse of Speak Now. Liz liked both of these comments-

But it gets crazier. And more undeniable with the timing. Because it's not just 1 year anniversary. It was both.

Because on 8/3/2024 on Karlie's birthday Liz popped back on to Tiktok to post. When it was passed Midnight for my timezone I noticed she posted on Karlie's birthday again and so I thought I'd comment because I not only loved her song colorwheel but also to see if she'd really double down on the 2023 interactions and if she was intentionally posting on these dates and sure enough......

Liz liked my comment and replied.

I always say, once could be a coincidence but twice is a pattern. This confirmed my suspicions that in 2023 Karlie and Liz were both in on me being posted on Karlie's birthday, because the interactions from the both of them were so close together, and Karlie liked my comment after I had uploaded the video that Liz Huett would later post to her story a week from then on 8/3.

Among all this there have been some other interactions between Liz and I as well from me just commenting randomly when I see her post as I am a fan. She doesn't always like or reply every time I comment it almost always seemed to be on intentional dates.

This song of hers was set to release 11/22, could be a reach but Taylor coded Karlie's initials as 11/11 aka 22 in the Begin Again MV based on K being the 11th letter of the alphabet. My discord has suspected that the 22 lyrics could be code for "I'm feeling Karlie" as in the expression when you're into someone. Especially because in the 22 MV, there is both a Liz Huett and Karlie Kloss lookalike strikingly on purpose.

Liz is so identical I would believe you if you said she was actually in the Music Video.

Here is the Karlie lookalike. The reason I know 100% that this is intentional is because this girl becomes the other main character of the entire MV and she is shown with Taylor in almost every scene specifically at 8/3 related timestamps.

For instance the first pic Taylor is shown eating a birthday cake at :38 with the Karlie lookalike very visibly in the back.

This MV also includes a beach scene that is directly inspired by the MV for the song "Big Sur" by the Thrills in which that MV came out on 3/6. Which is absolutely insane because everyone knows Karlie and Taylor's anniversary is 3/6.....

but the 22 MV came out in 2013... not 2014... implying Big Sur already was their thing before the public road trip, and the road trip in 2014 was actually an anniversary celebration- I will need to dedicate an entire post to this eventually because that lore is so irrefutable and mostly unknown.

Back to the Liz of it all.

Another notable interaction was in Oct 2024 which was a very loud month for Kaylor in regards to Eras Tour, golden Rep outfit debuted on Karlie's Wedding Anniversary... Midnights anniversary, more and more noise being made abt KARma and the orange door.

Peep the orange heart in both in which for my original comment to Karlie I used orange intentionally for KARma.

Now as seen at the start, tonight I saw Liz post on Tiktok on 4/27 on the anniversary of Taylor and Karlie meeting for the first time..... so I commented on both her recent posts. And she liked both of them.

At this point it's not a theory. I was posted on Karlie's birthday on 8/3/2023 on purpose. Karlie liked my comment knowing that video would be posted later, on purpose. And ever since Liz has been Kayloring on main and posts every time Karlie does, on purpose.

I am now going to link the original story below as well as how just 2 days prior to this when Liz actually posted her other recent tiktok that she liked my comment on, she also posted on instagram that The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is a must read and she did this while Karlie was doing her live interview in front of fans after Karlie posted about it on her own story.
