“Table number 4” you heard the bartender call while your eyes were fixated on the crew setting up the stage in front of you. “Oh, yeah” you received the tray of drinks from him and sauntered over to a table in the far left corner.

You cleared your throat as you noticed the person who you were serving was your boss Miya, the owner of the club and a handsome young man dressed in a red leather suit. “Oh Ten! You dont know y/n right ? she's new here” Miya pulled out a chair for you to take a seat.

“H-hi” you nodded nervously as the red suited man's lips turned into a cat-like grin.

“This is Ten Lee” Miya introduced, “He used to work here a few years ago until he became famous” You watched as the man became bashful and shook his head, “I'm not famous, I'm just getting started.”

You sat in silence, your head down as you watched your fingers twirl in your lap. You knew he was staring at you. Ten scooted in the chair next to you and you heard him sip on his drink and exhale deeply,

The club lights finally turned on and it glimmered shades of pink and purple as the bridal party made themselves comfortable up front, already on their third round of drinks. You were amazed that women indulged in things like this much like men, but this atmosphere was better, more wholesome. It was one of the reasons you decided to take the job. You were quite awkward being open sexually, and everyday you learnt from the women who came in that it was nothing to be ashamed of.

“Okay ladies, now you know you're in for a treat” Miya said into a microphone as she walked onto the stage. The women went crazy, already pulling out stacks of cash from their designer bags and gathered around the stage in anticipation.

The lights dimmed and you nervously took a seat just behind the bridal party as requested by Ten and pursed your lips, not knowing what to expect.

A sultry beat filled the room, you could feel the bass under your feet as the women screamed their heads off when a few regular strippers gathered on stage in police uniforms. The men danced around, discarding various pieces of clothing but this was all too familiar to you. Nothing really stood out from other shows that you had seen until Ten appeared.

Ten emerged from the smoke, dressed in black leather pants and a matching jacket that showed off his bare chest adorned with a harness. He pushed back his hair as he slowly walked down the runway, the screams from the women obviously not being new to him. Ten got down to his knees as he looked over the bride-to-be, his eyes were mischievous as he slowly rid himself of his jacket and threw it into her lap. You watched intently as he ran his hand down his body, pushing his head back as if he were in ecstasy by his own touch.

You were hypnotized, watching his every move as he swayed his body along with the music and touched himself in the process. It felt so dirty to watch but you couldn't help yourself, you were intrigued, you wanted more. Ten wasn't as naked as the rest of the men yet you could tell that all eyes were on him and him only. He climbed up the pole, moving his hips against it, making love to it in front of everyone. “Oh yeah he’s really good” you sighed and you heard a snicker come from behind you.

“Well thank you” Ten grabbed a glass of water from the bartender and leaned on the counter to face you, “ready for that lap dance ?”

You found yourself nodding and Ten smirked, holding out his hand “Shall we ?” You took his hand and he led you upstairs where the private rooms were located. You never had a chance to check them out since they were rarely booked out because they were so ridiculously priced.

Ten smirked as you sunk into the couch, your eyes practically devouring him as he danced slowly and sultry, concentrating on his hip movements as you bit down on your lip.

Ten got down on his knees and his hooded eyes locked with yours as he continued to sway to the music and his hands danced lightly over your thighs sending you into a frenzy. He pushed your legs apart and used his hands to lift himself off the floor until he was hovering over you, his eyes scanning every part of your body.

Hiro was walking behind Chiaki and Imposter, the two walking towards the administrative building where Hajime had gone, when he suddenly stops moving. His head shoots over to the spirit, as does Chihiro and Leon. "...What?!" Hiro says in disbelief.

"Hiro?" Chiaki calls back to him, the two living companions having stopped walking. "Is something wrong?"

Hiro turns his head to look at her, his face pale.

"I'll take that as a yes." Imposter grimaces, running over to the clairvoyant. "What is it? Did you have another vision?!"

"Not...exactly." He answers. "But I dont have time to explain. Gundham...Gundham's in danger! I-I think he's being attacked by Mukuro, Junko's sister? I-I dont know!"

Hiro was breathing heavily, and was on the verge of a panic attack. People were being attacked now? Like, he knew that if he didnt stop Junko lots of people would die, but someone was actually...being hurt.

"Hiro, calm down." Leon's voice cuts through the panicking man's thoughts. His best friend places a ghostly hand as close to his shoulder as he can. "Relax. You got this still, alright?"

"We can save Gundham and stop Junko, you j-just need to take a breath." Chihiro chimes in with a comforting smile.

Hiro looks between the ghostly apparitions of two of his closest friends and nods. The anxiety and guilt in his gut doesnt go away, but it lessens enough for him to take a breath and look to a now extremely worried Chiaki and Imposter.

"The spirits also said we needed to find a...Peko Pekoyama?" He says to them, scratching the back of his head. "They say she's a-"

"Swordswoman. The Ultimate Swordswoman." Imposter interrupts the fortune teller, having regained his own composure. "Its not a bad idea. She is extremely skilled in fighting."

Chiaki places a finger to her chin. "Maybe we could ask Akane and Nekomaru for help? They're extremely powerful fighters, too. If they were in a fighting game, they'd be a top tier choice!"

Everyone gives her a puzzled look for a moment before Leon's ghost speaks up. "We could also ask Sakura, and possibly Mondo! They'd be very strong in a-"

"No." Hiro cut Leon off with a shake of his head, and his allies give him a surprised look.

"No?" Chiaki repeats with a tilted head. "Why not?"

The underclassman frowns and rubs the back of his head. "'Cause, like....there's already a lot of people involved in this mess." He mutters. "The more we tell about Junko's plan, the more'll get hurt. Plus the more likely that a mass panic will break out."

"But if the authorities were to know, they could apprehend Junko and stop her easily." Imposter points out.

"If it was that easy dont you think the spirits wouldve suggested that?" Yasuhiro counters. "Clearly she has more power than even the police. Which is the whole reason I dont even see how I can do this!" He glances over at his ghostly friends and sighs. "But I have to at least try so...if the spirits think Peko is the best option, we'll go with her. But I dont want to drag anyone else into this, ok? Please?"

Everyone was quiet for a while, until Leon snorts. "I'm impressed. Usually you would have run away crying by now. Guess you're taking this seriously."

Hiro rolls his eyes. "I dont really have a choice. I'm still terrified and I feel like giving up with each development. But I dont want to lose any of my friends."

Imposter smiles softly at that and bows his head. "I respect your dedication, Hiro. Very well. We wont tell anyone else of your visions."

Chiaki nods in agreement. "We probably wont even have to tell Peko." She muses quietly. "Just mentioning one of our friends being in danger should be enough."

Hiro nods. "Alright. Since you two know her best, why dont you both go get her?"

"You could sneak over to the administrative building and see how things are going." Chihiro suggests.

When Hiro arrives at the scene, he is horrified by what he ses.

Gundham is all but leaning against the wall of the building, gripping his right arm with his left as blood drips from it. His shirt is sliced open in several places, blood splattered onto it. There's a large gash on the left side of his face, just below his eye, that flows even more blood down his cheek, and his usually styled hair has come undone, falling into his eyes as his chest rises and falls heavily.

The breeder glares daggers at his opponent as he attempts to catch his breath. "Y-you...vile fiend!" He curses at her, placing a palm on the wall to steady himself as he tries to walk forward despite his shaky legs. "You will never take down GUNDHAM TANAKA!"

"I'll admit. I'm impressed." Mukuro says, ignoring Gundham's words as she stalks closer. Hiro notices there's not a scratch on her, and that terrifies him even further. "Most people would be long dead from the wounds I've given you. You're much stronger than I anticipated." The teasing smile that had been on her face quickly falls to a frown as she pulls out a throwing knife. "But this game ends now. You will no longer get in Junko's way."

Hiro's eyes widen in fear. No...no, this cant happen! He was supposed to save their lives, not end them faster! Could he intervene? But what could he do? He'd just get himself killed!

As he wracks his brain for how to save Gundham, he notices Imposter and Chiaki running his way, and behind them, a girl with a sword on her back.

Peko Pekoyama.

Hope rises in his chest for a moment, before its replaced with despair. Leon and Chihiro understand as well.

"...they wont make it in time." Chihiro whispers, the three of them slowly turning to watch the horrific scene unfold before them.

Mukuro grips the throwing knife in her hand, readying herself to throw it. Gundham meanwhile takes a deep breath and closes his eyes, seemingly accepting his death. Smirking at this, Mukuro throws the knife and-

"Squea-!"

A hamster's squeak is cut short.

Gundham slowly opens his eyes in confusion as to why he had felt no pain. They widen in horror at what he sees instead. Maga-Z, one of his beloved Dark Devas, had been impaled by the knife in his stead, apparently having stowed away in his scarf.

"No....no!" Gundham cries out in agony as he picks up the tiny corpse of his pet, tears forming in his eyes.

"Well, that was unintentional." Mukuro shrugs, pulling out another knife. "But at least you get to taste the sweet nectar of despair before you d-"

THUD!

Mukuro suddenly falls to the ground, Peko standing behind where she had stood with a wooden sword above her head.

Hiro lets out a breath so big he almost passes out. "Oh thank Father Time!" He exclaims, rushing over to join the others.

"We got here as fast as we could." Peko says, sheathing her sword and glaring at Mukuro.

"I dont think it was quick enough." Chiaki replies softly, looking over to where Gundham was knelt down, cradling his falled subordinate.

There is a solemn silence as everyone gives Gundham his time to grieve.

Eventually he stands, still holding Maga-Z in his hands. "I thank you mortals for your assistance." He says, his voice quiet and broken. "I know you did what you could. Maga-Z gave his life to protect me, and for that he shall be remembered." He looks down to the hamster, then to Hiro. "I am aware we are in a hurry, but do you mind if I bury him? You can go ahead. I will find you."

Hiro gives him a sad smile. "Of course. And if you see Sonia, bring her along."

"Though, maybe see Mikan first?" Chiaki suggests. "You're very hurt."

Gundham simply nods before heading off.

The others watch him go for a moment before Peko breaks the silence.

"I will bring this one back to my dorm where she will cause no harm. At least until we figure out what to do with her."

"Yeah, that sounds like a plan." Hiro agrees. "Just be careful, alright?"

Peko smiles at him and nods. "I will, do not worry." And with those final words she picks up Mukuri and walks off as well.

Theres another silence, no one knowing what to say, until it's broken again. This time by Hiro.

"So...where exactly would Hajime be kept?"

okay heres the thing. for anyone else both my playlist library and my bookshelf would be considered pure chaos of a mad man b u t they actually have a highly focused system which means that i sort them based on their vibes, lovability and (in case of books) their age and whether or not theyre a part of a series so i would say my bookshelf is rather organised (when a quarter of it isnt occupying my desk that is) and my music is more organised than not but sometimes it gets out of control and i have to sort it entirely again

This was another family meeting, Tommy knew you hated them but there was no way out. You were part of the family so you had to be there.

"... I hope everything will go just as I planned, John. If not, Arthur will do something about it," Tommy muttered, looking at his brother, then his eyes traveled to Polly and you.

You were sitting right next to your aunt, looking curiously at the empty wall on your left. It was obvious that your mind was far beyond the walls of Shelby's house.

"I just hope Y/N here remember what I told her!," Tommy said loudly, hitting the table with his hand to get your attention.

"I guess Y/N took her mind on the vacations, Tommy," John said with a soft laugh, Arthur joined him soon.

"I can see that," Tommy said with a frown. "Mind to tell me what's so fucking interesting in this empty wall, sister?"

You blinked few times trying to bring your thoughts back. "Sorry, brother, I got a little distracted. I don't feel too well today as well," you rubbed bridge of your nose avoiding his glance. "Would you let me go back to the bedroom, I think that a little nap would help me get on tracks again," you asked politely.

Polly raised her hand up. "No, Y/N, it's not a time for napping. Focus on what your brother's saying, it's important," woman snorted and poked your knee.

"Listen to your aunt, girl. This isn't another tea party with your friends," Tommy said pointing at you.

"Exactly, those are bloody important things and you are away or suddenly don't feel well. It ain't the first time, and don't worry it'll over soon, you will be fine," Arthur added and Tommy nodded.

"Maybe she's gonna be on her period, eh," John joked openly and you showed him your middle finger. "Fuck you," you snorted at him and crossed legs nicely. "Go on then. Let's end this as soon as possible."

"Or maybe she is pregnant!," Arthur said and laughed.

"Naaah! Our little sister is too good for boys," John giggled, teasing you.

Tommy smiled softly and shook his head. "Okay, let's finish it so our princess can get her beauty sleep," he said before continuing the meeting. There wasn't much to talk about, you had to stay low when everyone else had their stuff to do.

After the meeting, Arthur looked at you as you were leaving the house. "I thought you said you don't feel well and now you are running off?," He asked in disbelief.

You looked at him above your shoulder and smiled. "It passed, I feel better now" you shrugged and looked at your reflection in a mirror hanging on the wall. You put lipstick on and checked if you looked nice. "Dont wait at me, I'll be long."

Arthur blinked and shrugged, looking at his younger brother.

"She left as soon as the meeting ended, suddenly she feels well? I don't like it," Tommy muttered, lighting his cigarette up. "If such a situation will ever happen again, I am afraid we will have to follow her."

"I can gladly follow Y/N. I bet our little sister is hiding something," John added slipping head to the room and looking at Tommy. "I can spy on her."

The whole situation with you kept repeating few times, you were excusing yourself or boldly sneaking out of the house on a daily bases. It was annoying everyone but especially Tommy, he never could reach you when you were needed because you were gone.

Finally, he had enough of your ridiculous behavior. "We are going to follow her, I am so fuckin' done with her sneaking out. Every fuckin' day," Tommy muttered, looking at Arthur.

Older Shelby nodded slowly. "I think it would be the best thing to do, if we truly want to find out where our little sister is sneaking out," he said.

Tommy nodded grabbing his coat. "Oi! John, you commin'?," He asked, putting on the coat.

Younger brother yawned. "Me? Of course I go! I wouldn't want to miss the drama!"

"Let's hope it won't be a fuckin' drama," Arthur said and followed his brothers.

Men followed you carefully, making sure to not alert you of their presence what so ever.

"Oh, you are fuckin' kiddin' me?," Tommy growled, seeing you entering Solomons' place.

You looked around before stepping into bakery. "Alfie!," You called happily. "Where are you, darling?"

As soon as you vanished into the building, John crossed arms over his chest. "Well, well, that's something unexpected, at least to me, guys," younger Shelby said openly rubbing back of his head. "What are we going to do now, eh?"

"Well, what do you think, eh?," Tommy said frowning. "We are goin' inside."

Arthur nodded. "I will rip this jew's head off if he ever touched her."

"The same place as always, lady," one of the workers poked you, pretty annoyed. Everyone was used to you being here every day. "In his office."

You thanked politely and sent man a grin. Grabbing hems of your dress in hands you ran towards Solomons' office and stepped in without knocking. "Good day, mate," you whispered.

Alfie looked from some papers he had on his desk and smiled at you. "Good day to you as well, pet. Is everything okay, you got here earlier than usual?," He said, getting comfortable in his chair. "Missed me?"

You walked to hip with a certain swing in your hips only to take a seat on his lap. "Well," you looked at the ceiling, pretending to be thinking. "Yes. I missed my man so fucking much that I skipped my violin classes to meet him, innit romantic, my love?"

Alfie laughed nodding. "Oh, so fuckin' bad, girl. What happened to this little innocent girl I once met?," He joked, looking at you.

You stroked his cheek with your thumb. "You spoiled me, Alfie," you said as your impatient hands started to unbuckle his leather belt.

"Well, then I think I will have to teach you a fuckin' lesson, you brat," Alfie said watching your hands. "Eager as always, go on, little one."

You got off his lap only to kneel between his legs.

Meantime John and his brothers came to the bakery.

"Where the fuck is she!?," Arthur growled, grabbing one of the working men.

"The office…," Man answered quickly and Tommy nodded. "Let's go, pay Alfie a visit. Shall we, boys?"

"With a fuckin' pleasure, Tom," the oldest Shelby said and went to the office as first, with Tommy and John right behind him.

John was already red on his face. "I sense the drama, Thomas!," He whispered shivering.

Meantime you shoved Alfie's cock deep down your throat humming around the shaft.

Alfie only hummed happily as his hand held your hair tightly, it took him a bit to realize that your brothers actually stood in the same room. "Oh fuckin' shit... The hell you fuckin' idiots do here!?"

"YOU ARE FUCKIN' KIDDING ME!," Tommy yelled while Arthur simply turned on his hill and left the room, probably to not murder you or Alfie on the spot.

You gagged a little and quickly slipped Alfie's out of your mouth. "Tommy.... John...," You whispered with eyes wide opened.

"Yes! Fuckin' us! What the fuck you are doin', sucking off this motherfucker?!," Tommy growled.

"Hey, calm the fuck down, mate," Alfie said.

"No, you fucking shut up, mate, before I decide to decorate walls of your fuckin' office with your own brain. You," Tommy pointed at you. "Get the fuck out of here. Go to Arthur."

You wiped your lips from Alfie's precum and slowly got up on your feet, shaking head like you'd have been saying "no". "I won't go anywhere. I stay here."

Tommy rolled his eyes. "John, please."

John simply nodded and walked to you. He was taller and stronger than you so he easily picked you up, John threw you over his shoulder and walked out with you.

"Now you…," Was all you could hear Tommy saying.

John walked out of the bakery and joined Arthur. "Are you out of your fuckin' mind kid, eh? What the fuck was that?!," Arthur asked.

You struggled with your older brother. "Put me down, coward! Put me fucking down and I'll rip your heart off!," You were screaming.

People who were passing by glared at the sudden situation and chaos.

"I want go back to my man! Put me down, John! I love Alfie! You won't be deciding by me!"

John put you down. "Arthur asked you a question, girl and yes we will. You are Shelby, you won't be meeting someone like this."

"He is right, Tommy will sooner kill him than let you met with him again," Arthur muttered, looking around. "What are you all looking at! Not your fuckin' business," he yelled at people.

"Arthur, brother," you grasped his elbow and looked up at him. "I bet once you were in love, just like me now. Please, don't punish me for listening to my heart. I fell for him and nothing will change it. Listen to me, and if you love me, like your little sister, let me live my life the hell I want."

Arthur looked at you. "Tommy will decide what to do with you, sister," he told you bluntly.

John only laughed quietly. "You fucked up."

After a few minutes, Tommy joined you all. "Fine, ready to go?," He asked simply.

"I ain't going anywhere. I want to go back to Alfie," you stated firmly. "What the hell have you done, brother?"

"Arthur," Tommy muttered.

"Sorry, sis," the oldest Shelby said and picked you up the same way that John did few minutes before.

While you walked, Tommy looked at you. "For now you will sit home, we'll think what to do with your great Jewish love," he muttered. "I guess I will have to talk with aunt about this," he said pulling out the cigarette.

"With Polly? There's nothing to be talked about with her, Thomas!," You growled. "I want to go back to my love."

All three men ignored your whining until you all got home.

Tommy ordered to close you in your room and make sure you won't run away. In the meantime, he went to talk with Polly about the whole situation. Tommy didn't like it even a little but he also couldn't completely close you off.

After an hour, Tommy walked into your room.

You were sitting on the floor under the window, knees pulled beneath the chin. Quiet sobs were escaping your mouth.

"You can stop that now, Y/N," Tommy said walking up to you. "I talked with aunt Polly," he informed you.

"And? What? You'll lock me here like a princess in a tower and Arthur is going to play a dragon in this stupid spectacle?!"

"I think you are a bit too old for such metaphors," he chuckled darkly and ruffled your hair. "Better fix this ruined make up and run to your jewish knight."

You blinked. You felt how your blood turned cold within second. "What did you say, Tommy?," You asked frowning.

"Go run to your love," Tommy said with a shrug. "As I said, I talked with Polly. We came to the conclusion that you can be in love and we can benefit."

You grinned and quickly got up from the floor, you rushed to the wardrobe to look for a fresh dress. "I’d say it's awful from your side but I won't complain as long as I can be meeting him. And Tommy. I really love him. He's a good man to me."

"I ain't sure if Arthur would say that. I won't say that eather," Tommy said walking past you.

You shook your head and started getting ready.

It was the very first moment when you felt the sparkle of hope for better tomorrow.

Is it just me or does anyone want to see a crossover between That 70s Show and the ranch. Like honestly I REALLY shkp Jackie and Rooster, I mean how can I not they would make the cutest couple. Imagine this, after season 8 Jackie breaks up with Fez, gets the hell out of point place and goes on a road trip to find something better, something new. Along the way she realised that she's basically broke and finds a small town named garrison. She arrives there at 6am and finds a bar named Maggie's with a help wanted sign, she goes in, walks up to the lady behind the bar and says... "Hey, look I'm just going to be blunt and say I'm normally not caught dead in places like these, but I'm really desperate and need a job and the sign outside says you need my help, so is there a manager I can talk to or something"Jackie said in a somewhat rushed and desperate voice.

The lady looks somewhat offended but also a little amused by Jackie's desperate tone, she didn't look like someone who was strapped for cash, in fact she look really young around 19 or 20. She had, her raven hair curled perfectly,her make-up done to a tee and she was certainly dressed to impress, in nee length leather boots, blue jeans tucked underneath and a clearly expensive red off the shoulder, only slightly baggy sweater and all of this to accommodated by a very pretty face with doll like features, she had big mismatched eyes one brown,one blue, full pouty lips, high cheeks bones but you could see that the girl was hurting underneath her innocent eyes. So the woman looked her up and down, raised her eyebrow, smirked and said....

"What in the hell makes you think ANYONE is gonna hire you with that attitude. Also do you even have the qualifications to work at a bar." The lady said in a thick southern accent. She looked to be in her late 50s or early 60s, her brown hair was short and curly and she had brown eyes and thin lips. She had on a pair of black Jean's, a denim shirt jacket and lilac tee-shrit that hung loosely around her body. In all honesty she looked a little bit like a hippie but she also didn't look like the type to take shit from anyone.

" Oh please" Jackie said offended, as she thought who wouldn't want to hire her."Firstly it's a bar, what 'qualifications' could I possibly need to-

"ok I'm gonna stop you right there" The woman said interrupting Jackie." I think we've been gotten a bit off track here and I'm on the verge of kicking your ass out of here. So I would like to know your name before I do that." She said very falsely sweet voice.

Jackie was taken aback, she was always so used to the 'customer is always right' motto. When she worked in the salon, the motto was practically engraved in to her mind. Her mother had also taught her to expect no less from employees or any kind of staff for that matter because their "basically our servants Jackie, we just dont have to pay them" her mother always said, to say that warped her young mind on how to treat people equally would be a understatement.

Her eyes widened a bit as she stammered out her reply, still a little caught off guard by the woman's bluntness" O-oh umm I'm Jackie, Jackie Burkhart" Jackie said confidently" And I'm sorry if I came on a little strong there, i just haven't gotten the hang of this 'job thing' yet. So what's your name." Jackie asked curiously.

The woman eyed Jackie curiously before giving her an answer.

"Maggie Bennett, and I am the owner of this bar".

After this exchange the two women quickly became acquainted with each other but cant help but be a little stand-offish. Jackie had learned that Maggie has been the owner of the bar for over 20 year which blow blew her mind but also that she was going through some martial issues and had two grown sons. Maggie had found out that Jackie was on something of a self discovery journey (something that Maggie envied) because of troubles back home. She had also learned that Jackie came from money and didn't have alot of job experience. This had helped Maggie in her decision in wether or not to hire Jackie but finally came to a conclusion......

"well kid your only 21, have had just three short job experiences and are pretty clueless when it comes to any manual labour other than fixing a car surprisingly." Maggie said in a toneless voice, which only made Jackie even more nervous. She knew she wasn't that experience but what she lack for in that she gained in determination.

Jackie looked at Maggie visibly worried now, even though she tried to calm her self down, she was afraid that Maggie was going to laugh her out of the building.

"Well...... you've got the job!" Maggie exclaimed happily but before she could anything else out, she had an arm full of Jackie Burkhart squealing happily and hugging the life out of her.

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!" Jackie squealed gleefully and surprisingly she was really(excuse the language) fucking excited about this job. Because to her this will be her first job out in the real world, and yes you could argue that the cheese palace, the salon and working for that god awful woman who's name shall not be spoken (purely because I forget it), as real jobs but Jackie didn't because they were in that small town, that small town that took everything she loved, that small town that had been suffocating up until she left...she fucking hated that small town.

So she was excited about this new opportunity, this new chance to make something of her self to use her experience out in the rea-" wait, I have very little experience in these types of things, you even said it yourself self! why are you even hiring me". Jackie said curiously and a little self consciously, that was something was new to her.

"Well a number of reasons first one would probably be because you know how to make some pretty complicated drinks" That's right, Jackie remember telling her that she knew how to make alot of different drinks, not only from years of watching her own mother make 'special smoothies' but also from watching Mrs Forman make all different drinks." And well..... I'm low on staff and as long as you promise to not drink any of the alcohol, you can work here." Maggie said a little sheepish.

"Oh ok, well then I promise not to disappoint you and you dont have to worry about me drinking on the job, I'm more of a smoker than a drinker" Jackie said reassuringly"So when do I start."

"Right now" Maggie said "But its only 8AM dont bars usually open at like 6 or 7" Jackie asked confusingly.

"Oh honey not in this town, alcohol is kinda the only thing they have" Maggie said in a tone that was meant to sound jokingly, but something told Jackie that she was serious.

So for the next few hours Jackie worked as a bartender. She met all kinds of different people including some of the regulars. But it wasn't until 6PM when Jackie met the rest of the Bennett family.

Jackie had looked up from her place at the bar and saw three men walk in. The first one being an old man who looked to be in his 70s he full head of white hair and a white moustache, a khaki green button-up shirt and a pair of blue jeans with muddy boots. He had remained her of Mr Forman on account of him having a natural scowl on his face. The second man was tall and build, his face was very sculpted with refined features such as a builded jaw line, he had brown hair and a backwards red cap on, a blue and red check shirt with a grey shirt underneath, black jeans and a pair of muddy uggs that he could NOT pull off. He remained her of Kelso due to the goofy look on his face and the build of his body. The third man had her doing a double take, he looked so much like steven it was almost if he was right there. He had a full head of curly hair (although alot more tame than Stevens) and a bushy beard with squirted blue eyes, he had a light brown leather jacket with a red shirt on, navy blue jeans , with a pair of muddy cowboy boots? Seriously did these men not have any sense of fashion.

"Seriously I cant even shut a truck door right" the second man said flabbergasted. "I'm sure you could why you choose not to is beyond me" the first man replied patronisingly.

Judging by the tone of the conversation Jackie could only assume they were having a fight and honestly the old man reminded her so much of Red Forman that she was waiting for a 'Dumbass' or a 'foot up the ass' comment. Also both men had thick southern accent to them, like Maggie so she assumed they were from around here.

That was when the steven look alike spoke up." Hey, I'm gonna hit the bar. But in case you guys run out of things to fight about.." He paused as if he were about to reveal something important."Colt's Jean's cost 85 bucks" He said as he took his leave. His voice sounded almost like Steven's just older and had a southern accent to it.

As Jackie seen him approaching the bar she turned around and pretended to not have been ease dropping on their conversation.

Blake's Birthday Special

Hi, peeps! So, birthday specials are currently being set up as a time-exclusive item on my Patreon, meaning Patrons see them first and the public sees them later! So, here's the Blake Birthday special!

You curse softly under your breath as the timer on the oven goes off, nearly causing you to drop the glass display dish in your hands. You hurriedly set it down on your counter by the microwave and shuffle to the oven to check on the two cake layers. You quickly open the oven and slip on some cooking mits before grabbing the dull metal pans off the rack and setting them down on the stove top. "Oh, thank God." You let out a relieved huff as you find the spice cakes well-settled in their pans and not burnt. You close the oven and change the temperature, then pull your mits off and toss them onto the counter. You take your apron edge and wipe your brow. "Well… that's done." 

Grabbing an ink pen, you pull your mini notepad out of your back pocket and look at the list written on it. 

"To-Dos: 

-Bake cakes (spice) 

-Let cakes sit (DON'T TAKE OUT OF PAN UNTIL COOL) 

-Ice cakes

-Make potato salad (call Blake's mom for recipe if you forget) 

-Ask Freja for help on fried catfish 

-Make baked macaroni 

-Get those cheap sugar cookies 

-Put up birthday banners with Iris (DONT LET HER BURN THE HOUSE DOWN) 

-Pick up balloons and booze (Adontis took care of that)"

You check off parts on the list, and just to be entirely sure, you glance to the streamers and banners decorating your kitchen and living room, then to the tinsel wrapped around your stairs' railing, then to the bundles of balloons in every corner. Well, no one can say it's not festively decorated. Maybe too much so. 

You tuck the notepad and pen back into your pocket as you walk over to where you have a pan laid out in front of the microwave. You heave the large black pot off the stove top and begin pouring mac and cheese into the pan to prep the baked macaroni, still going over in your head everything you still have to do before the party.

"So, how long till he gets here?" You watch Iris check the old black metal pocket watch currently attached somewhere deep into her coat. 

"T-minus five minutes," she drawls, tucking the watch back down. "He got a little backed up in traffic." Her eyes dart to you, her lashes fluttering in a way that has you and Freja both stiffening. "So, what sort of extra special gifts you got planned for your lover boy tonight, hmm?" 

"None of your business-" 

"Iris-" 

"What what? It's an honest question!" She feigns offense, but it's ruined by the little shitty smirk on her full lips. You roll your eyes- 

Knock knock knock. 

-and nearly have a heart attack as Blake's familiar heavy knocks sound at the door. With your heart fluttering almost sickeningly in your chest, you shoot everyone an excited glance before darting forward to the door. "Baby, it's me, open up-" 

As you open the door, everyone and yourself included yell, "Surprise!" You dance out of his way as he comes in with a confused smile, but after a moment of him taking in your heavily decorated house and the practically overflowing kitchen filled with food, you see a deep redness beginning to flush up his neck. "Oh man, guys ya didn't have to-" 

"Hush," Freja interrupts with an arch stare and a cocking of her hip. "Of course we did this for you." A little smile plays on her pale lips, and her effort to hide it is less than usual. "Besides, you are the baby of the team. When you get over, say, one hundred years, we'll stop making you celebrate so lavishly." 

As you move to where you are pressed against his side under his jacket with your hands on his back and chest, you look up to see the slightly annoyed look on his face and try to hold in your laughter. "Awh, thanks, shall I also bend over for you to give my birthday whuppin?" You let out a very unflattering noise as your laughter, and everyone else's, blurts out at both his words and the new look on Freja's face. 

After a moment of glaring at him, she bustles off to the kitchen to grab the candles while you steer Blake into the living room where a pile of presents sits below a particularly loud birthday banner and behind a table with his cake on it. "Are you ready for us to sing to you and make your big birthday wish?"

He looks down and returns your smile as his hand splays warmly over your lower back. "I might be. Are you gonna tell me what all you got me?" You feel a wicked grin curl your lips. 

"Well, some of it's here… and some of it's waiting for you later." 

"Oh?" 

"Mhmm." You see heat flare in his eyes and you have to look away to keep from being set on fire by it. Well, on the outside, anyway. Adontis scoots down the couch to make room for you both beside him. Blake pulls his jacket off before joining you and throws it to Iris, who grabs one arm of it and spins it around her head while whooping and shaking her hips. The room fills with laughter again, even Freja's light laughter as she appears with the candles in hand, slightly shaking her head. Loche moves to help her place them, one of those long-stem lighters tucked into one of his hands. "Well, old man, you best start figuring out that big birthday wish." 

"'Old man'? I'm not that old-" 

"You are older than me, so yes, I do think that makes you rather old," Markus teases from one of the kitchen chairs that were brought into the living room. Blake gives him a droll look that earns him an answering coy smirk. "The youngest of the team outside of your partner, and still older than your ancient wrangler. Alas, the woes of old men." 

"I'm not old." You yelp when he gives you a sharp tap on your bottom, and you give him an answering one on his inner thigh. "Ouch!" 

"Can't even take as good as you give," Adontis tsks. "The signs of old age." 

"You can't even talk about old, there's bedrock younger than you." Another chorus of laughter erupts as you duck down while Blake and Adontis have a play-fight by slapping at each other. 

"Settle down, settle down! If you upturn this table, not even the Ancients will be able to save you lot from what I'll do to you," Freja hisses threateningly as she places the last two candles. It's rather comedic to see two men nearly twice her size move so quickly away from each other that the couch nearly tips backwards to avoid her wrath. 

"Is it ready?" Fawn's voice drifts from behind you. Freja nods, to which Loche quickly begins to light the candles. You lightly rub Blake's knee as he does, up till he finishes, then you stand. 

"Alright guys, all together now…" 

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Blake, happy birthday to you!" After that last part, the song breaks into different lines from everyone, including "And to many more!", "You look like a monkey, and smell even worse!", And "Yippie!" 

While you and Freja portion out slices of the buttercream-covered spice cake, you can feel Blake's on you the entire time.

Later, after everyone has wandered either out onto your porches or to the living room, you find yourself alone in the kitchen with Blake as you start to wrap up the leftovers and he helps himself to more food. After a small comfortable silence, he chuckles. "I still can't get it out of my head how Loche reacted to the surprise rolls." You join him in laughing, recalling the leopard man's immediate facial contortion after biting into one of your special 'surprise rolls'. A sourdough roll filled with pickled meat, some fresh vegetables, and french dressing, he wasn't quite ready for the sour and tangy flavor he found. 

"I was worried he'd spit it out, but after that first bite he ended up eating five of them." As you tuck another Tupperware bowl into your fridge, you feel Blake's large, warm hands lightly wrap around your hips. You shut the fridge door and lean back into his chest, letting your hands reach up to run down his cheek and through his hair. 

"Thank you. For the party, for the cake, for… everything." Something in his voice tugs at your chest when he says 'everything'. You lean your head back and smile at him even though he's got an almost somber expression at the moment. 

"Of course, you're absolutely welcome. You deserve it. All of it." You turn in his arms and wrap yours around his waist, and he moves his arms to wrap around you, pulling you tightly to him. 

"I love you. You know that, right?" 

"Of course I do. And I love you too." 

"Yeah. Don't know how I managed that one, but it seems I'm starting to do something right." He buries his face in your hair, and you feel utterly… at home. At peace.

Its not an inn, Its a damn lodging house instead of an inn!the thing was huge!.

--In what can I help you--said the inn Keeper, a young woman with white dragon horns and a sunflower apron said.

--Ill be staying here for a while--geralt answered in his short and dry tone--How much Is it going to be?.

--well,since youre going to become a regular then I guess I should Lower the price,how About 20 gold coins--the inn keepers voice was sweet and soft spoken, and it made the witchers cheeks burn Pink.

--O oh okay--he said, clearing his throat--wheres my room?

The Man sets the coins down and the woman grabs it, putting in a chest under the counter and then walking to the Man.

--Follow me, over here

She kept her soft tone, and they walked down a corridor.

Geralt was baffled,no inn keeper had treated Him like that, softly and kindly as she did.

then they turned the corner and the second room they stop.

--Here it is,it has a bathroom and its own kitchen but if by any chance you cant Cook please tell me and ill do it for you

He leaves the weapons on the table,and takes off the heavy armor, laying on the bed, its comfortable and the matress ,it sinks under his weight.

How on earth did she even get matresses that comfortable?and charge so low for it?.

Then he freezes as he hears a soft lullaby being sang.

His dorm happened to be just behind the kitchen, the smell of baked goods started to make him feel sleepy.

When was the last time he had slept well?, when was the last time he slept?.

He cant really think of an answer, the inn keepers soft voice was luring him to sleep.

The place was just the right ammount of warm, the matress was made by the gods, and the covers of fur werent itchy, was geralt on the heaven itself?.

He flips on his side covering his body with the blanket,it had been a long day of witcher fuckery, and it was only noon.

His body was asking him to sleep.

And so heavy eyelids Turned into closed eyes.

And then he fell asleep.

Its late afternoon, geralt wakes up with a soft knock on his door.

--Sir?--The inn keepers voice asked-- I have some snacks and tea ready, come by if you want some, free of charge!

The Man grunts in response, he sits on the bed and stretches his neck, hearing the womans steps Fade away.

He sighs and goes into the shower, warm water too? What was up with this place.

Now, after a quick shower, he Walked back to the counter, there were some tables and some other people there staying.

He sat alone right at the table for two besides the Window.

He looks outside, its raining..

Good thing he left roach with the stable boy.

--Hmm there you are!--The inn keeper said putting down a tray of baked goods and tea on the table--May I sit?

Geralt couldnt help but smile,and nodded--of course...

She sits Infront of him,brushing a strand of chocolate brown hair behind her ear.

--I suppose since youre going to stay for a while we might as well get to know eachother, im jerico, jerico von terra

--Geralt--the Man said, shaking jericos hand.

--Well geralt, shall we?

He particularly didnt drink tea or was concerned on eating pastries or sweet things at all, but this time hed figured he would give himself a treat.

--i dont like to talk much--he said after drinking a bit of his tea.

--Its alright--she said--we can Keep silent if you want

His smile grew, nodding again.

And so they ate silently.

And well, poor geralt couldnt help but look at her, jerico had big green eyes like emeralds, soft cherry lips, and a beautiful porcelain skin.

He wanted to sigh in love.

The kindness was too much for him, maybe because he isnt used to it,maybe because it was New.

Whatever it was, he was starting to grow fond of it.

And sure,he had some questions about her, dragonborns werent well liked, but the people in town seemed to be very fond of the inn keeper.

--Dont look too much or youll pluck your eyes out

Jeri said giggling.

The Mans cheeks burn red.

--I didnt mean to stare...

--Dont worry about it

After 'tea time' geralt went back to his room.

He was internally hitting his head against the wall.

What was up with him?he asked himself.

He only hoped it wouldnt Keep him up all night.

And so days Turned to weeks, and weeks in months.

--So, mighty witcher-- jerico said, trying to annoy geralt as he helped around in the kitchen.

--Dont test me jerico....

--oh but I want to know, how was todays hunt?

The Man looks over to her with a brow raised--are you trying to bake me something again using your "cake scale"?

--no.......

It had become a habit for jerico to bake stuff for him.

The "cake scale" was measured in,the harder the hunt,the bigger the cake would be.

--Jerico I still have some cake from last weeks hunt you dont need to

--But geralt! I want to!--jer said,pouting Like a kid.

--Fine, it was alright-- she always gets him with those puppy dog eyes-- not to hard, but I did hit my back against a rock pretty badly

--then thats a medium cake,chocolate with lemon drizzle then?

He smirks,she knew him too well--vanilla, actually

The Man grunts and corners the woman against the kitchens counter one of his hands cups her cheek and the other cages her.

His eyes were pitch black, his skin dead pale.

Hea afraid he scared her,until with red cheeks she wiggled her brows and giggled.

--i didnt knew this side of you geralt, Pretty cool~

he groans letting her free-- is everything a joke to you?

--Maybe yes maybe not, go and rest come on

The Man sighs, its useless to argue with her.

He says a soft goodbye,and back in his room he sats there on his bed.

He had been cooking up these feelings for his inn keeper friend, he couldnt help but feel bubbly around her, the way she always treated him with respect and kindness.

How she braids his hair when he knows hes going on a long hunt that Will make taking care of his hair a living nightmare.

How she treats his wounds, scolding Him about it.

And how shed wake him up with a soft tone and her hand lightly stroking his hair,asking Him to wake up.

And he knew he wanted his life to be like that for ever.

An hour or so later jerico knocks on the door, with that softness that was so characteristic of her.

He opened the door with a big goofy smile.

--Hey

--hey, heres your cake

He took the Plate quickly leaving it on the table then back at the door leaning on the door sill.

--Ive got to ask you something

--Sure, shoot

--so...--geralt said trying to find the right words--when we first met you treated me with respect,you didnt fear me nor did you treat me poorly, why?

Jer raises an eyebrow leaning with her elbow on the wall.

--Well,because youre human too, and you deserve the same kindness as everyone else

And thats when it clicked for him, he wanted her by his side forever.

--And another thing

--hmm?

--Would you like to eat this cake with me?and I can tell you more about the hunt

Jeris eyes lit up and nodds.

She comes in, sitting with him at the table as both drink some tea, jerico listens to geralt talk about todays hunt, very invested in It.

Then geralt takes her hand, gripping it softly as he finished his tale.

--I really dont know how to go about this, so ill just say it, jerico...I like you, you have been always so sweet to me,youve spoiled me with things and I feel like I cant ever repay you for this, so let me try to make this up to you by giving you my love if you feel the same as I do

Jerico grips geralts hand and she smiles,a big grin.

She almost jumps out of his Seat, and as the Man stands up jer jumps on him, the witcher catching the dragonborn by her legs who wrap around his waist.

--you have no idea for how long have I waited to admit my feelings towards you,guess youve won this time, mighty witcher.

--dont try and test me now--he said clearly joking.

--you dont scare me--and with that she cupped his cheeks and kissed him.

He sets her on the table hugging her waist while his other hand cups her cheek, caressing it.

Summary:

It was time for one of the biggest events of the year: The Yule Ball. Everything seemed to be prefect for you, at least that was what everyone thought. You would go with your boyfriend, what could not be perfect about that? You knew the answer: wearing a formal dress and those high heels your mother had picked out for you. So, when the Yule Ball was finally happening, you spent a lot  of time worrying about you being a disaster on those heels. You could only hope things would go your way, so you won’t ruin your and your date’s night...

“Y/N, come out already…!”

You and the girls had been preparing yourselves for the Yule Ball that was about to happen in few hours. However, you have been feeling quite nervous. Almost so nervous you were feeling nauseous the whole day. The only times you wore a fancy dress like this was when your parents invited some guests from the ministry over. This was different though… When you had those dinners with your parents, you mostly had to sit down and look pretty. That was a good thing, because that way the people wouldn’t see how clumsy you were when you wore dresses and heels like these. Just looking at yourself like this was making you feel slightly uncomfortable. Sure, you looked nice, but you would have preferred wearing something slightly more comfortable.

“Y/N, this is getting ridiculous. Just show us your outfit already.” Merula said, getting impatient.

You sighed softly and slowly opened the door.

Penny squealed in delight when she saw you. “Y/N, I don’t know what you are nervous about, that dress looks amazing on you!”

Merula snorted slightly. “For a moment I thought you were going to wear that old-fashioned dress you got once. Really, I don’t understand why you are so nervous.”

 Rowan looked at Penny and Merula. “I don’t know if you have ever seen Y/N in heels before, but I can assure you she has her reasons to be nervous.” She knew what made you nervous. You had told her about you being clumsy in heels and dresses like these.

“Why don’t you just wear flats?” Tonks asked, raising an eyebrow at you.

“My mom would probably murder me…” You mumbled. “She was the one who helped me pick out this dress and heels.”

“Didn’t she also say something like ‘a real lady learns how to walk and dance in heels’?” Rowan pointed out.

“Hm… And Skeeter would probably write something about the Yule Ball. If Y/N wears flats during the ball, her mom would probably figure it out.” Tulip said.

“Maybe you should just concentrate on having fun, Y/N. If you don’t think about how difficult heels are to walk and dance on, you might end up doing a lot better on them.” Penny suggested with a smile.

“Or you should just laugh whenever you trip. That’s what I do whenever I trip over my own feet.” Tonks said with a grin.

Merula narrowed her eyes a little. “Tonks, that’s not going to help Y/N with feeling less nervous…”

  “Just think about your date!” Penny quickly said with a smile. “Aren’t you excited about that?”

Your date… You definitely were excited for that. You began dating him not too long ago, however it made things easier for the both of you who to take to the Yule Ball. You two didn’t feel stressed out because you two didn’t know who you should take to the Yule Ball. It was like you two already assumed to go together to the Yule Ball without actually asking each other. Well, it wasn’t until he brought it up he never actually asked you to go with him and asked you to go with him to the Yule Ball officially.

“Oh, I suddenly see why those high heels are necessary.” Merula chuckled. “You also need to wear them to be a little taller to make it easier for Barnaby to dance with you.”

You rolled your eyes and blushed a little. “I’m not that small…”

“No, he is just very tall for his age.” Tulip said amused.

“Luckily, you two are about the same height, huh?” You mumbled softly with a small smirk.

Tonks snorted when she noticed Tulip and Merula were blushing.

  “Come on, Y/N. Let me do your hair and make-up.” Penny said. “The rest of us are already done.”

“Once Penny is done with you, you might be aware boys’ jaws are going to drop. She is a genius when it comes to make up.” Tonks said with a grin.

Penny huffed, looking amused. “I’m not a genius when it comes to make-up, Tonks. I just know some simple tricks, that’s all.”

“But you know what you are doing.” Merula said honestly.

“You managed to make everyone look very good for this evening, including yourself.” Rowan said with a smile.

Penny blushed a little. “You guys give me a little bit too much credits. It’s not even like I have done that much.”

“Well, it’s not like we all could do it as well as you could.” Tulip said with a shrug.

“I almost never wear make-up, to be honest.” Rowan said.

“I do, but that definitely is different from doing make-up for a ball.” Merula mumbled.

“Okay, okay, I get it.” Penny said, feeling a little flustered. “Y/N, this will take a little while.” She mumbled when she began doing your hair and make-up.

  “Have you guys seen the girls already?” Charlie asked, feeling slightly uncomfortable in the suit he was wearing. “I’ll be glad when the even is over and I can wear something else again.”

“They will be there soon and hush. You look very good in that suit.” Andre said.

“It’s better than the last suit you got from mom.” Bill said with a grin.

Charlie grimaced a little. “You know what? I actually like this suit.” He quickly mumbled.

Andre chuckled softly, shaking his head a little before he turned to Barnaby. “Y/N’s jaw is probably going to drop when she sees you in a suit.” He said with a grin.

“You think so?” Barnaby asked. “I really don’t know what she is going to think about it.”

“Don’t doubt my fashion sense, you look great. She will definitely love it.” Andre said with a wink.

Charlie moved a little closer to Barnaby and whispered. “I can’t understand how he is so sure about this…”

“That’s because I know what I’m doing, Charlie.” Andre said, giving Charlie a look.

“What if you are never sure…?” Ben asked softly.

“It’s all about the confidence, Ben.” Andre said with a smile. “Come on, Ben. Smile a little, this is a night not many people will forget.”

  “Oh look! There they are.” Charlie said with a smile, pointing in a certain direction.

Barnaby immediately looked at the direction, feeling slightly nervous now. You two dated for a little while, but this was definitely something you both never experienced before. He hoped he would be able to impress you.

“Hey guys.” Penny said when she walked over to the guys first.

“Damn, Penny. You definitely did some good work.” Andre said with a grin.

“Oh, it’s not that much, really.” Penny said with a smile.  “Ready to dance tonight, Andre?”

“Definitely, I hope you can keep up with me.” Andre said with a wink.

“I think it is you who should be worried to keep up with me.” Penny smirked lightly.

“So, there will be a dance battle tonight?” Tonks asked amused. “I guess we found something we can do Char.”

“Don’t tell me you are going to bet on them…” Charlie mumbled.

“Ah, come on. It will be fun.” Tonks said with a grin. “Just say, if I’m right you will look the other way when I will pull a prank, young prefect.”

“Like I have never looked the other way when you pulled a prank, Tonks.” Charlie huffed.

  It took a little while before Barnaby’s eyes met yours. You both didn’t seem to be able to look away from each other. You slowly made your way over to him, looking quite nervous.

“Hey Barnaby.” You greeted softly when you were close to him.

Barnaby was still looking at you. He had never seen you wear something like this before. You definitely looked pretty. Of course, he thought you would look pretty regardless what you wore, but it was definitely something special.

You blushed a little. “Barnaby?” You said, wondering if he even heard you.

“O-oh! Sorry Y/N.” He said quickly and then he gave you a smile. “You look very pretty tonight.” He basically blurted out.

“Ah, thank you, I’m glad you like it.” You said honestly. “You also look really handsome tonight.” You admitted.

“Thanks.” He said softly before he gently took one of your hands in his. “Shall we go in?” He suggested.

You nodded and gave him a smile. So far, you didn’t have much issues with your heels yet, besides the fact they weren’t really comfortable to walk on. You tried to follow Penny’s advice to focus on having fun instead of worrying about being clumsy on heels.

  Barnaby suddenly looked a little confused at you when you two walked inside the Great Hall. “There is something else that is different about you as well.” He mumbled.

You blinked, wondering what he was talking about. “Something different?” You asked softly.

“Ah, I know what it is.” He said with a grin. “You are taller than usual.” He pointed out.

Of course, he would notice something like that. It kind of drifted your mind to the bloody heels you were wearing. “Eh… I’m wearing heels under the dress, Barney.” You mumbled softly.

“Oh, I get it.” He said. “Although, I always wonder why girls feel like they need to wear heels. I mean, you don’t need to be taller, right?”

His way of thinking was definitely cute, you couldn’t help it but to giggle softly. “I think it some sort of fashion statement. Maybe Andre knows why women wear heels.”

“Hm, maybe I should do that later.” He said honestly. “However, we should probably have a dance first.”

“Do you know how to dance?” You asked him, wondering if he would be a good dancer.

“I think I do. I might not be the best, but I know the basics.” He smiled.

On flats you knew how to dance a little, however, you didn’t know how things would turn out now.

  “I hope I will be able to lead you well, during the dance.” Barnaby said honestly. “I mean, this will be our first dance together, so it should be special, right?”

You blushed slightly and nodded. “I’m sure you will be able to lead well.” You told him, knowing he was trying his best for you to make the night special. However, you were afraid you would not be able to make the dance very special. What is you step on his feet? Or what if you trip? You could already see yourself making a fool out of yourself in front of him.

“Y/N?” Barnaby said, pulling you away from your thoughts.

“What is it?” You asked.

He looked a little worried. “You seemed to be frowning a little. Are you all right?”

You quickly gave him a smile, although it probably didn’t look too honest. “I’m fine, don’t worry.”

“If you are sure.” He said, not looking completely convinced.

  You both found your friends in the Great Hall again and joined them to listen to Dumbledore’s opening speech for the Yule Ball. The speech was short and soon after that, the music began playing. It took a few minutes before pairs began going to the dancefloor. Andre and Penny were one of the first pairs that joined the dance. Tonks was amused when she noticed Andre and Penny were quite serious about the dance. Then she smirked and pulled Charlie along on the dancefloor with her. After all, they both agreed to go together as friends. Tonks definitely wanted to have some fun, even with the formal dancing.

Barnaby offered an arm to you and you knew it was time you would join the dancefloor as well. You slowly took his arm, letting him lead you to the dancefloor. You were impressed with Barnaby’s dancing skills. He was definitely able to lead you well despite you were still having issues with the heels. At least you didn’t step on his feet. You definitely enjoyed the dancing a lot more than you expected. Barnaby made you feel much more comfortable than you realized. The way he held you was almost delicate, like he was afraid to hurt you, but he still held you tight enough to lift you in the air during the dance.

  After a little while, you two decided to take a break and get something to drink. He led you to a table before he told you he would get you something. You slowly sat down on a chair, taking a deep breath. If there was one word to describe the dance then it was magical.

“It’s seems like you had quite some fun, Y/N.”

You blinked when you realized Tonks took a chair next to yours. “O-oh. I definitely did have some fun.” You admitted, blushing lightly

“Your feet seemed to work along with you.” Tonks said amused. “Mine really didn’t work along. I think I was stepped on Charlie’s feet too many times.” She laughed. “Maybe that’s why he decided to take a break.”

“I’m sure he will be fine.” You said with a small grin.

“Well, he should have expected it. I mean, he knows how clumsy I can be.” Tonks shrugged. Tonks looked at a certain direction before she stood up again. “I probably shouldn’t interrupt your date, have fun.” She winked before she left again.

  You looked up when you noticed Barnaby approached you again.

“Here.” He said with a smile when he handed you a drink.

“Thanks.” You said when you took the drink.

Barnaby sat down next to you and gave you a sweet smile. “You really seemed to be enjoying the dance, Y/N.”

“Oh, I am.” You said honestly with smile. “You are enjoying it too, right?”

“Definitely.” He said honestly. “I mean, I was worried for a moment that I would screw it up. But I’m glad it didn’t.”

You blinked. “You were? But you seemed to really know what you were doing.”

“Well, I suppose I was still nervous. I mean, like I said, I wanted this night to be special for us.”

You blushed a little, wondering how on Earth you managed to date someone as sweet as he was. “I think this night is already very special.”

“I’m glad.” He smiled brightly.

You two just sat down for a little while, talking with each other until you both finished your drink. Hopefully, the next part of the ball will go as well for you as the first part.

  You and Barnaby walked back to the dancefloor, for a second round of dancing. You noticed Penny and Andre were still dancing. They still seemed to be serious and passionate about it. You quickly turned to Barnaby though. He once again gave you a bright smile, ready to lead you again. You smiled back at him and allowed him to take the lead again. Just like the first time, he managed to make it all seem so easy. You didn’t know how he did it, but he even managed to make you feel like you knew what you were doing. It was almost like he enchanted you during the dance, but you knew that was just your imagination.

Maybe there was no need for you to be so worried in the first place. Maybe you were able to do more on heels than you thought you could. Maybe you weren’t as clumsy as you thought. Or Barnaby made you feel comfortable enough to not think about any problems and gave you a confidence boost. Either way, you were glad you weren’t making a fool out of yourself.

  Of course, one of the last steps of the dance ended up not too well. You could tell your ankle moved in a way it should not move and you ended up falling against Barnaby. Luckily, Barnaby was strong and quick enough to support you.

“Are you all right?” He asked you, looking slightly concerned.

You were blushing, wondering if you had perhaps jinxed yourself by thinking everything went fine during the dance. “I think so.” You said softly. “I’m sorry for falling against you.”

“Don’t worry about it.” He said honestly, giving you a small smile.

You gave him a smile back before you tried to stand on your feet again. You hissed softly when you tried stand on the foot you made the misstep with. You could already guess you had twisted it.

He frowned lightly. “That doesn’t seem to be good…” He mumbled before he simply lifted you up from the floor and carried you over to a place to sit down

You began blushing even more when he just carried you. “B-Barnaby!” You mumbled slightly panicked. “Y-you don’t need to carry me, really.”

“But it is clear you can’t stand on it.” He simply said. “Besides, it’s not like it is a problem for me to carry you.”

  Barnaby gently sat you down on a chair before he sat down next to you. “Could you lift your foot for me?” He asked.

You blinked before you nodded lightly. You lifted your foot and he gently put your foot on his upper legs. You wondered what he was going to do.

He looked at your ankle and nodded slightly, like he was examining it. He gently took your heel off and places it somewhere else. “That doesn’t look too good, Y/N.” He said honestly. “Maybe we can take you to Madam Pomfrey to heal it.”

“Yeah, I probably should do that.” You said honestly, biting your lips lightly. “I’m sorry…”

He blinked. “What for?” He didn’t understand what you could be apologizing for.

“For messing it up.” You mumbled softly, blushing slightly more.

“What did you mess up?” He asked, feeling even more confused.

“Well… You know… Making a wrong step and twisting my ankle…” You mumbled almost too quiet for him to hear.

“Y/N, it’s not like you made a wrong step and twisted your ankle on purpose.” He said seriously. “It was just an accident.”

“Still, I could have practiced on these stupid heels more.” You muttered, looking slightly away from him.

  Barnaby frowned and then he gently put your foot down again. He moved his chair closer to yours and then gently lifted your chin with his hand, looking into your eyes. “Y/N. You didn’t mess anything up.”

‘But-”

“Really, you did nothing to mess it up. Things like that happen.” He said seriously.

You sighed softly. Maybe you were making a fuss over nothing… Maybe things like these could happen no matter how much you would try to prevent it.

Barnaby gave you a small smile. “There is no need to worry about something like this. Just try to enjoy the rest of the evening, all right?”

You nodded slightly and gave him a small smile back. “You are probably right.”

He gently moved his face closer to yours and gave you a gentle kiss.

You kissed him back, slowly feeling more comfortable again.

Once he pulled back he gently took your hands in his. “Should I bring you to Madam Pomfrey now?”

You nodded. “That’s probably for the best.”

He gave you a smile and then he gently helped you up.

  “Just ditch those heels if they annoy you, Y/N.” Barnaby said when he helped you over to Madam Pomfrey.

That was the moment you left your heels behind. You wanted to enjoy the rest of the ball with Barnaby without worrying about wearing heels. You didn’t even look at them until the ball was over. You danced on them like your mom wanted you to do, so you felt fulfilled your mom’s request.

Or, how Yuuri was convinced to watch an anime based on his life.

It was both flattering and mortifying, Yuuri thought, when a story based on your life and love suddenly skyrocketed in popularity like gossip spreading like a forest wildfire.

He sighed as he watched his sniffling husband from the kitchen. Viktor was crying over yet another episode of this "original fantasy action anime about a no-good mage who meets and falls for the number one ice wizard in the continent." It was really good, they said. The animation was beautiful, the story was riveting and the romance was done perfectly right.

Don't get him wrong; he appreciates a good story as much as the next person does. The love and care and attention to detail that went into the creation of this latest sensation was clearly evident in every frame drawn and every line spoken. It was, no doubt, a wonderful work in its own right. It was even considered by many as a revolutionary piece that broke barriers and made history.

What Yuuri did not appreciate -- and certainly did not expect (though he should have, given the circumstances) -- was the hordes of rabid fans and insatiable tabloid writers that practically crash the door and breathe down his neck every single morning since the first episode aired, and seemed to multiply exponentially by the week.

Chalk it up to very observant people to put two and two together, and your high-profile whirlwind love story is revived and retold again on almost every website and social media platform in existence. The side-by-side comparisons went up to eleven when the seventh episode featured the two leads kissing before the cheering stadium - just like how Viktor, his coach at that time, had kissed him at the Cup of China a mere three years earlier.

The fans became a lot more persistent that day, he recalled. Even the casual passers-by recognized them now. "Oh my god, it's so-and-so! From that show!" (Yuuri could not be bothered to recall the names of the characters.) Viktor eagerly responded to this by kissing him soundly on the lips in public - again.

As always, the Russian's attempts at getting him to watch the new episode together failed spectacularly that night.

  Yuuri and Viktor were not the only ones whose lives have changed because of the show. Yurio, for one, started receiving hate mail from all sorts of fans - mostly fujoshi, from what he had gathered. Messages ranging from "damn Mudblood" to "inferior Valentin-wannabe", or colorful variations and combinations thereof, began filling the reigning World Champion's inbox at such an alarming rate, he'd actually changed his phone number and locked all his social media accounts by the time the fourth episode had aired.

("I don't even watch that shit," Yurio had lamented in frustration through a private Skype session. "And even I know that Mudblood's from a totally different fandom! What's wrong with these fucking people?!"

That's what you're worried about? Yuuri had been tempted to say out loud, but he'd kept his mouth shut. Maybe it was just the stress of the upcoming Grand Prix Final talking. The men's short program event was the next day, after all. Other than that, he'd completely sympathized with the angry blond.)

Fortunately, the messages stopped when the current episode aired half an hour ago. Yuuri knew at once when his ringtone for Yurio began playing from his pocket and Viktor tearfully joined him in the kitchen at the same time as soon as the livestream finished. "Let's have katsudon pirozhki tomorrow!" he exclaimed, his eyes shining brighter than usual. "To celebrate Julian finally befriending Yoichi!"

"Okay, Viten'ka," Yuuri shrugged, knowing better than to correct his husband on the in-universe pastry the show's tritragonist had just offered the main character. How they even knew about that event between Yurio and himself at Moscow was purely anyone's guess. ("This show is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to real-life persons, places and events is purely coincidental," indeed.)

The phone's vibration gradually increased in intensity as the ringtone segued into the annoying screechy guitar part. (Yuuri never learned how to switch it back after Mila had fiddled with it back when they were in St. Petersburg.) "One moment." He fished out his phone and answered the call, expecting another loud tirade on why the hell he didn't pick up sooner. Instead, he heard heavy breathing over the line, seemingly accentuated by the static.

"... Finally..." Yurio started, his voice unnaturally subdued for someone supposed to be angry. "... They finally stopped..."

Yuuri knew where this was going. "Congratulations for holding out for so long, Yurio," he answered with all compassion. "Are you celebrating tonight?"

"After all that trouble? Of course I am!" The blond loudly harrumphed. "Beka and I are having katsudon pirozhki tonight!"

Viktor immediately snatched the phone from Yuuri's grasp. "Yurio! I didn't know you watched Glassheart, too! Isn't it wonderful?! Who's your favorite character besides Julian? Mine's Yoichi, of course!"

"HELL NO!" Yurio snapped. "Get off my case, old man! Go talk to Chulanont or something!"

Viktor nodded back excitedly, still on an all-time high post-episode rush. "I will! I'm handing you back to Yuuri now." He gave Yuuri the phone back, planting a kiss on his cheek before returning to the couch to call Phichit.

Yuuri put the phone back to his ear. "It's me again... Actually I'm also making katsudon pirozhki for lunch tomorrow. It's been so long; I have to prepare."

"Figured as much."

  What Viktor usually meant by "call Phichit" was to open their Skype group for figure skaters who also liked Glassheart. (Yuuri made sure to remember the title now after much persuasion by his husband, lest he gets mobbed by his other friends online, too.) It was a video conference, as always. It didn't take long before the conversation went into full swing, so he played a selection of everyone's skating music from the last few seasons so he would not hear any spoilers.

The beginning lines of "Shall We Skate" was cut off momentarily as a chat bubble appeared on the home screen. It was from Phichit, Yuuri noted, as he pressed a button on his headset to resume the audio playback and lower the volume.

Me: It's only been a week, though?

  Yuuri stopped typing. It was evident Viktor immensely enjoyed the show, even more so because it was obviously based on their own real-life relationship. He'd been a fan since day one, tweeting his thoughts and reactions every week. Now a good nine episodes in, his follower count had shot up to the mid-hundred-thousands and counting. Fans of both the show and figure skating were very much excited to have the Living Legend (and real-life inspiration) on board, and soon he became known as the "Prince of the Fandom" - the King, of course, being the original author.

Many a fan had once asked if Yuuri watched Glassheart, too, seeing as he was the other significant person involved in the story. Viktor handled these questions himself since he knew the Japanese man did not like being associated with the show, albeit not as vehemently vocal about it as Yurio was. (That had almost become a total PR disaster, if not for Yakov's timely intervention with a total media blackout for the young Russian skater.) Yuuri himself chose to stay quiet about it as he went about his daily activities, avoiding requests for interviews and comments pertaining to the show. However, the increasing guilt for putting his husband through this situation in his place, combined with a genuine, slowly-piqued curiosity brought about by many, many messages from various fans, made him reconsider his stance on the matter.

Above all, he missed spending time with Viktor. Sex was one thing, but quality time like this rarely presented itself throughout their respective busy schedules. So maybe...

  Phichit stopped responding after that. He must be active on the Skype conference now. Yuuri walked out to the living room, and could hear Phichit's boisterous laughter from Viktor's phone as they discussed the ending scene at the kingdom's harbor. Mila was now attempting to pry details out of her former rinkmate about what went down when they reunited after the Rostelecom Cup three years ago.

"No comment," Viktor answered, a secretive smile playing on his lips. "That's between me and Yuuri only."

"No fair, Vitya!" Mila cried foul. "You know he's never gonna spill! How will we make comparison notes now?"

Viktor hummed back amusedly. "Well, I'm not helping. Good luck with that, Mila."

Phichit and Leo also whined at this, while Guanghong tried to placate them. Sara merely laughed in the background.

Yuuri, too, was laughing softly.

  It was several hours before the airing of the last episode when Yuuri surprised his husband over dinner. Viktor almost spit out his water when he asked if they could marathon the past eleven episodes while waiting for the finale.

"I guess I'm kind of interested now, with all the hype going on," he confessed, picking at a piece of meat with his chopsticks. "If you're not busy tonight, of course."

Viktor beamed at him, his eyes gleaming ecstatically. He would have hugged the bespectacled man right there and then, if it weren't for the table between them, so he settled for reaching out to clasp Yuuri's free hand, his wedding ring reflecting the white light hanging above them.

"I'll always have time, my Yuuri." Viktor smiled at him tenderly, the silver fringe over his left eye parting ever so slightly as he tilted his head. "I love spending time with you."

Yuuri closed his eyes, feeling somewhat absolved of whatever it was that had been weighing him down. He entwined his fingers between Viktor's, returning the smile with a fond one of his own before letting go. "We should hurry, Viten'ka. I don't want us to be late."

Viktor nodded and resumed eating. The couple finished their meal in silence, the excitement palpable between them, even as they put away the tableware and washed up for the night.

The laptop had already been set up when Yuuri came out to the living room, bringing with him a large blanket and two steaming cups of hot chocolate on a tray. (Not the bedroom, he'd insisted earlier. They might fall asleep.) Viktor clicked on a few icons before invitingly patting on the spot next to him. Yuuri places the tray on the low table next to the laptop, spreading the blanket to wrap around themselves with before joining his husband on the couch.

"I knew you'd come around eventually." Viktor nudged at his shoulder, winking playfully. "I've waited for so long, you know."

"Good things come to those who wait," Yuuri intoned, the old English adage rolling perfectly on his tongue. He leaned in and rested his head on his husband's shoulder. "Shall we?"

"Of course." Viktor tapped on the spacebar, and animated snowflakes began filling the screen.

The opening theme was captivating, the positive lyrics daring the listener to dream big and aim high. The instrumental parts and the repeating refrains were really catchy, and Yuuri caught himself humming along even after it ended. Viktor was humming along, too, albeit at a faster pace. Yuuri smiled; he loved hearing his husband sing.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration if Yuuri said the first episode blew him away. They did not hesitate to set the tone of the series with a healthy mix of fast-paced fight sequences, colorful spells and lightning-speed attacks (which, yes, did resemble figure skating spins and jumps a lot), all tied together by a dramatic narrative that tugged at the heartstrings and pooled tears in the eyes.

Yurio would have enjoyed this show, he thought. It's a shame all that stuff happened to the poor boy before he could even give the show a chance.

They were not kidding when they said Glassheart was totally (albeit loosely) based on his and Viktor's story. Watching the interactions between the leads Yoichi and Valentin, Yuuri could not help but wonder at how well the creators have captured their own dynamics as coach and skater back then, and adapted it perfectly to a medieval fantasy setting. He started daydreaming about icicles forming at his fingertips, easily manipulating their form into whatever he wished. He had been mentally sculpting a still image of Viktor and himself floating in the air when the fourth episode ended.

Viktor was now chuckling as his on-screen wizard incarnation drunkenly hit on the poor bespectacled mage a in the tavern, while said mage's friend gleefully cackled before a floating magic sphere. "And there goes Match Number 55," he explained. "I never really understood how notorious Phichit actually was about these things until this episode aired."

Yuuri responded with a curious hum. He knew better, having been the Thai's friend and rinkmate for longer. On another note, Viktor and the others have apparently been keeping track of the similarities between this show and real-life happenings. Yuuri declined the offer to read through Phichit's detailed masterpost on it later.

His heart soared when Yoichi managed to win his first match at the Wizards' Tournament, even attempting to cast Valentin's signature spell, the Glassheart. It was only for a short moment, a far cry from the powerful attack the legendary ice wizard had unleashed on the dragon in the first episode. Still, Valentin had been so happy and so proud, that he had kissed his protégé before the audience right there and then.

Beside him, Viktor was in tears again. He'd already stopped giving any form of commentary at this point, in favor of "feeling the feels," whatever that meant.

Yuuri sipped his drink slowly. He wished tonight would never end.

  The final episode closed with a shot of Yoichi and Valentin standing on the bridge where they had first met, the former now also sporting the uniform of the Royal Wizard Regiment, a silver badge pinned on his breast. Both characters shared a tender kiss, before the screen panned up and faded out to the words, "ab hinc in aeternum" -- from here to eternity.

No sooner had the livestream cut off than Yuuri turned his attention to his husband, who was currently a beautiful, inelegant mess.
