ah. almost forgot that i got yelled at real bad by a patron tonight. almost.
#i have to call people when they have long overdues#which like 98% of the time is totally fine and people are chill and usually just haven't realized or whatever#but oh man there's an angry 2% of people#and it's like so stupid because we don't even charge overdue fines like why are you yelling at me#even if we did it would be less than a dollar like fr#(tho it might be more for some of these people keeping shit 10+ days overdue)#anyway so i called this lady tonight and she just immediately started bitching at me#and insisted it wasn't actually overdue which like when she checks her account she's gonna see she's wrong#and when her library card gets frozen and she can't check shit out and then she gets a bill in the mail perhaps she will realize#like bitch im not just calling people for fun why on earth would i make up an overdue book#im calling because it has 3 holds on it and you need to bring it the fuck back#“if it was due 10 days ago why are you calling now?” well you see it's because you've been ignoring all our emails for 10 days#actually 12 because we warn you 2 days beforehand#she had 3 weeks with this book btw it's not like a dvd where you only get 7 days. this is nearly a fucking month.#and like frankly i just do not get paid enough to deal with that shit#why are you mad at me on a personal level because you have an overdue library book? make it make sense#she's on the do not call list from now on. let the collection agency deal with her i make minimum wage#bri babbles
