the costuming in twisters’ act 2 makes me think that kate & tyler r gonna be the kind of couple who go whole streaks of accidentally color-coordinating. just entire weeks where if kate walks out in an olive tank you can bet tyler’s gonna be wearing green. no one they know has the decency to clue them in on it either

hate sex• t.ennis
(You hate him because he is always so sexual with you, even though you don’t really mind)
Warnings: Smut
Tumblr media
“Go to the club with us, girly.” Lauren, Mcdavid’s girlfriend, says to me with a smile. “K.” I shrug and I go upstairs and put on a low cut, body con, mesh on the hips dress.
I paired that outfit with some skanky heels, I walked downstairs. “Ok bitch, serve!” She says and I pop the booty out a little, “Tyler will be there for you.” Lauren winks, “Ew.” I rolled my eyes and she laughs.
“Why do you hate him so much? You two would make a hot couple.” Lauren asks, “He’s too sexual with me.” I said and she chuckled, “You don’t like it?” She asks, “Nope!” I said popping the ‘p’.
She gave me a look that she knew I was lying but shrugged it off, “Let’s go.” She said and I nod, then we go to the club.
At the club
We walked into the club with ease and we saw the guys and a few more of our friends, “Hey sexy, wanna go fuck in the bathroom? That ass is screaming my name.” Tyler says from behind, “Fuck off, Ennis.” I said and he laughed.
“Come on babydoll, just fuck me. I know you want to, you always look at my body, I bet you think about how good I’d fuck the whore out of you.” He whispers in my neck and I got chills.
I grabbed the shot off the table and downed it, I walked off and ignored Tyler. I saw some hot guy and decided to dance with him, we danced to the song “Promiscuous” by Nelly Furtado and it was honestly so fun.
“You’re so sexy.” The hot guy smirked and I bit my lip, I grabbed his face and kiss his lips. I looked over and saw Tyler and he was not that happy, “Could you buy me a drink, baby?” I asked the hot guy.
He nods with a smirk, he grabbed my hand and we walked over to the bar part. “2 martinis.” The hot guy says, “I’m Y/n, by the way.” I told him, “Thomas.” He said smiling.
“Can I have your number?” I asked Thomas, “Yes, it’s (whatever phone number).” He said and I put him in my phone as ‘Thomas the hottie🥵’ and he chuckled at me.
We took our drinks and quickly downed it, “Is that your boyfriend over there?” Thomas asks and pointed at an angry Tyler, “Absolutely not! He keeps trying to get in my pants, my best friend has a boyfriend who is on the same hockey team as Tyler and that’s how we met.” I said.
“Good, so there’s no man I have to watch out for?” Thomas asks and I shake my head, “Good.” He smiled and the bartender faces us another shot and then we took them and walked back on the dance floor.
“Hips Don’t Lie” by Shakira came on and I wrapped my arms around his neck, our hips danced together and his arm wrapped around my waist. “It’d be so hot to fuck you right here.” Thomas whispered in my ear.
I gasped, “I’m not about that. I’m sorry, if you want to fuck me. We have to go to yours or mine.” I told him and he nods, “Come on.” He whispers in my ear, “Ok.” I said, smiling.
“Hey Y/n!” Tyler said, and I turn around smiling, “Oh hey Tyler.” I said and he chuckled, “Uh where are you guys going?” He asks me, “It doesn’t fucking matter.” Thomas says to him.
Tyler looked taken aback, “Yo, what?” Tyler says, “Ty don’t listen to him. Thomas that was really mean.” I said to him, “Who fucking cares? I’m not trying to get cock blocked by some airhead who thinks you’re gonna sleep with him.” Thomas angrily admitted.
“You know what Thomas, I don’t think I want to sleep with you tonight or ever, sorry.” I say to him and he grips my arm, “I’m gonna fuck you, even if I have to force you, you slut.” Thomas said with a scowl.
Tyler grabbed me and pushed Thomas, “You Wanna fight cause I’ll fight you right here. Don’t you ever put your hands on a girl, especially Y/n, you big dick.” Tyler says with an angry look.
“Whatever.” Thomas says and walked off, “Um thank you, Tyler.” I said to him, looking down, “You’re welcome, sexy.” He winked, “And to think you were somewhat likeable.” I said to him, he grins and grabbed my hand.
We walked to his table and I saw my friends all chatting it up over somewhere else, “I’m sorry for ever making you uncomfortable, Y/n.” Tyler said grabbing my hand and playing with my fingers.
“I honestly don’t mind.” I shrug and he smiled, “Wanna go back to mine maybe, and make some babies?” Tyler asks with a grin, “Oh my gosh.” I shake my head with a chuckle.
I sighed and looked at him, “Sure.” I say and he winked at me, he helps me to his car and we go back to his.
“You can make yourself at home when you get upstairs, baby.” He winked and I chuckle, he walked into the kitchen. I walked upstairs and got naked, I laid underneath his comforter.
I hear him walking upstairs and I laid on my back and began playing with my pussy. “Tyler.” I moaned softly and he definitely heard, he came in my room and his jaw dropped.
“What’re you doing?” Tyler asks, grinning, “Making myself at home.” I said to him, I continued playing with my clit and moaning his name. “You gonna come over here and fuck me?” I asked Tyler.
He smiled genuinely and walked over to me, “Before you do anything, babe. Give me your jersey.” I said to him and he grabs it off his chair in the corner of his bedroom.
“Here, gorgeous.” He said and I slipped it over my head, “How does your name look on me, daddy?” I asked him, “So fucking sexy.” He said and I motion him to come closer with my finger.
He was in front of me and I grab his hand, I stuck my tongue out and swirled my tongue around his finger tip. He took it out of my mouth and replaced it with his thumb, I close my lips around his big thumb and deepthroat it.
“Can I fuck you?” He asked me, “Only if I can wear your jersey.” I said to him, “Fuck yeah, you definitely can.” He smiled and I smirk, I grab his face and kissed him.
We made out on his bed feverishly, he made his way in between my legs and smirks into the kiss. I break from the kiss and flip on to my back, “I want you to see your last name on me while you rail me from behind.” I said to him.
“Alright.” He says and I heard the blush on his cheeks, “Not so confident now?” I asked looking behind me and he rolled his eyes, “Well, I never thought I’d get this far with you. Always a dream of mine.” He grinned.
I chuckled, “I don’t fully hate you.” I tease and he kissed my neck, “Change the attitude, sweetheart. Or you won’t walk right for a year.” He urged.
“Is that a threat or a promise?” I asked, he smacks my ass and I jerked forward, his hand soothed the stinging sensation and then he leaned in my ear.
His breath hot on my neck, “A promise, princess.” He says and shoved his whole dick inside of me, “Oh fuck.” I moaned loudly, “Shit.” He breathed out as his hips slapped against my ass.
“So tight.. fuck.” He moaned loudly, “Daddy.” I moaned softly, “I think I’d rather have Thomas’s dick shoved in my ass.” I say and he slapped my face, which I moaned to.
“That’s right, daddy. Treat me like a whore!” I screamed in pleasure, “I’m not gonna treat you like one, you already are one.” He says and I moaned softly.
His hand went around me and wrapped around my throat, his pace sped up and his balls slapped against my ass cheeks. “Baby, please.” I moan a bit quietly.
“Please, what?” He asks, not slowing down, if anything goes faster. “Leave marks on me. I love rough sex.” I said to him, he lifts his jersey up some and smacked my back really harshly.
My back arched more, “You slut. You think it’s okay to talk about some fucking asshole while I’m making you scream.” He grunts through his teeth, “I’m sorry.” I cried out.
“You will be, whore.” He says and slapped my face, his grip around my throat went tighter and my breathing slowed down, “Tyler.. I can’t breathe.” I said to him.
All his movements stopped, “Are you okay? I’m so sorry, Y/n. I didn’t mean to hurt you, I won’t choke you anymore.” Tyler apologetically says, “Ty it is okay, alright? Just ease up on the grip some.” I said and he nods.
“Fuck.. so wet for me.” He grunts, “Who go my you this wet, huh?” He asks with gritted teeth, “Tyler Ennis.” I moaned out, “Good girl.” He grins and I moaned at the name.
His grip on my throat was barely there, “You can grip a little harder.” I said to him, he does as I told and I felt my climax coming. “I’m going to cum, daddy.” I said.
“Me too, daddies girl.” He says and kissed my neck where it is beginning to bruise a bit, “1..2..3.” He says and we both came, my legs shook and my vision blurred.
I fell onto my face and he gasped, “Holy fucking shit.” He said and I look behind me, “What?” I asked him, “You just squirted.” He says and I put my face into the blanket.
“No, don’t be embarrassed. It was so sexy.” He said and I grin, “I’m sorry for ever being mean to you, Ty.” I said to him with a sad smile.
He shook his head, “It’s okay. I would’ve done the same if some guy was flirting with me constantly.” He giggled, “Yeah, buts it’s not okay. I actually loved getting hit on by you and always dreamed about you making my legs shake.” I said to him.
“It’s fine. Are you okay though?!” He asked with concern, tracing my neck. “I’m great! It just slightly burns, I’ll be fine.” I said and he pulled me into his chest.
He kissed my head and I wrap my arms around his neck, “I love you.” He said barely above a whisper, “I love you too, Tyler.” I grin and he kissed my lips hungrily, pushing me on my back and kissing down my body.
“Round 2, or 10?” He asked with a smirk, “Yes sir.” I innocently said and he winked before kissing my thighs.

The President Wears Prada (William Nylander | Chapter 18
Tumblr media
A/N: Remember that there’s a DOUBLE POST this week because of my birthday that happened yesterday!  Look out for Chapter 19 to be posted Thursday at 7:30pm.  I think you guys will reeeeeally like that one :)
January 24th, 2020
Aberdeen Bloom was amazed.
The welcome reception that the NHL planned in the hotel was full to the brim of what seemed like every NHL president, general manager, and their assistants mingling and munching on perfectly prepared hors d’oeuvres.  Everybody was staying at the Ritz-Carlton, a fifteen minute drive from the Enterprise Centre where all the hockey-related festivities were taking place.  While the all-stars had already been bussed to the Enterprise Centre, she was here with Brendan and Kyle, trying to assert her presence in a room full of men who thought they were gifts to God’s green earth.  She wondered if any of the other executive assistants – a good 99% male, from her observations – felt the same way.  It was when she was standing in that room that she realized how much of an anomaly she truly was, and if some guy gawked at her because he hadn’t seen a female since October, she wouldn’t be surprised.  Hockey was an old boy’s club, and there was no better proof for that than the makeup of the people in this room.
Many people came up to speak to Brendan and Kyle – Aberdeen thought they were almost like the star debutantes at the ball, except one debutante already had three Stanley Cup rings; the other debutante was like the belle of the ball, as one of the youngest GMs in the league, and everybody wanted to talk to him.  The only thing they’d do is give Aberdeen a quick nod after they finished their conversation before walking off.  It was like she ceased to exist, or existed only as a figure to nod to once the discussion with the ‘big boys’ was over.  Nobody was giving her the time of day.  She didn’t even know why she had to come here and do this when—
“Aberdeen,” Brendan’s voice cut off her thoughts.  She straightened out her back and looked more attentive as he looked back at her.  “Who do you think will come and speak to us next?  Let’s make a bet.”
She smiled.  She knew that instead of sulking she should be working the room as much as possible, inserting herself politely into conversations Brendan and Kyle would have with some of the other presidents and general managers.  “BriseBois has been eyeing Kyle for five minutes, so twenty bucks and an extra day off says it’s him,” she said confidently.
Brendan laughed, as did Kyle.  “My bet’s on Ken Holland,” Brendan quipped.  “Here to talk to us about Tyler Ennis.  Everyone knows they want him.  Hometown boy.”
“It’ll be Sakic.  To talk to us about Naz,” Kyle said.
“DUBBIE!”
All three of their heads turned to see Brisebois smiling and making his way over.  Aberdeen smiled.  She leaned into Brendan.  “I’ll take that twenty bucks in a Starbucks gift card.”
***
Aberdeen thought that maybe Frederik Andersen should be the one seemingly babysitting Auston Matthews, but she digressed.  Because he was attending the All-Star Weekend but not actively participating in any of the festivities due to his slight wrist injury, he was free to do (what seemed like) whatever he wanted.  He could visit both locker rooms, he could chat with all the guys, he could take pictures with everyone.  All she had to do was make sure he got to the benches during the Skills Competition and she could consider it a job well done.
She didn’t want to follow him into the locker room – that was a bit much – so she stood outside and watched as he interacted with Fred and Mitch before moving on to some of the other players: Jack Eichel, Brady Tkachuk, and Mathew Barzal, for the most part.  When he was finished, he looked almost surprised that she was still there waiting for him.
“They’re going on in ten.  Where should we be?” he asked.
“I’m just gonna lead you down quickly, but I’m watching with Brendan,” she informed him as they began to walk down the corridor together.
“Aw, come on.  You can’t keep me company?” he asked.
“There’s no way I’d be caught dead on a camera beside Auston Matthews, thank you very much,” she joked, but at the same time, was totally serious.  If even one hair on her head was caught on camera, she was sure Auston’s fangirls would know her name, address, social security number, and blood type within the hour.  “Let alone at the All-Star Game.  And let alone with you looking like that.”
“Like what?!” he wailed.
“Oh, come on Auston.  You look like you were a cast off of Anchorman and you know it.”
“I’m fashionable.”
“If you say so,” she rolled her eyes.
“I thought those types of comments were only meant for Willy, anyway.”
“They’re meant for any of you when you look like this,” she covered herself, giving him a full up-down, causing him to laugh and shake his head.
They walked past the Western Conference locker room, bustling with all the players and the media walking in and out of it.  Auston stopped again to say hi to some guys that he could see – Tyler Seguin and Connor McDavid – before Aberdeen watched another player making his way towards them.
“This your girl, Matthews?” Matthew Tkachuck asked, a devilish smile on his face.
Aberdeen crinkled her brows.  Gross.  “Ew Matty,” she watched Auston as he made a face.  “This is Shanahan’s executive assistant.”
“Oh!” Matthew’s face and demeanour completely changed as he took off his glove to shake her hand politely.  “I’m Matthew Tkachuk from the Calgary Flames.  It’s nice to meet you.”
Aberdeen laughed at how these boys could switch from being rats one second to upstanding gentlemen the next.  “Nice to meet you, Matthew.  How do you know Auston?”
“U.S National Development Program,” Auston answered for him.  “We were on a World Junior team together.”
“Yeah, not to mention I was on a line with Mitchy in London,” Matthew added, referring to his junior career with the London Knights of the OHL.  “It’s like I’m practically on the Leafs,” he smiled.
“You wish,” Auston scowled.
“You’ll be on the bench watching, yeah?” Matthew directed his question towards Auston.  Auston confirmed he would be.  Matthew’s attention went back to Aberdeen.  He gave her a very visible up-down before biting his bottom lip.  “How about you?  You gonna be on the bench with Auston?”
“I’ll be sitting with my boss, but thanks for thinking about me,” she smiled over-politely.  She heard Matthew chuckle but he still didn’t take his eyes off her.  “We should go, Auston.  I don’t want Gary Bettman angry at me for keeping the star of Toronto backstage for too long.”
Matthew said his goodbyes.  Aberdeen and Auston continued walking down and around the corridors until they came to the entrance to the ice.  Some of the arena workers, recognizing Auston, began showing him the way.  “Now stay here and be good,” she said.
Auston smiled mischievously before winking and walking away from her.  “Only for you, Aberdeen.”
“And tell Matthew Tkachuk if he even thinks of me, I’ll kick him in the balls.”
“Will do, baby.”

She saw the number pop up on her phone and the request for a FaceTime call.  She hesitated at first, not knowing if she should accept.  Sure, she was alone in her hotel room, it was late at night, and she was sure everybody had gone to bed, especially Brendan and Kyle.  Nobody would be knocking on her door.  Nobody would be calling her asking her to get a suitcase ready so they could take a private jet to Phoenix to fire a head coach.  And even though her first thought was that this had to be some sort of practical joke, she quickly reconsidered.  The last time this was requested it was in the back of a cab and an automatic no.
Not for anything, but less than 24 hours ago he was in her.
So she accepted.
William’s face popped up on the screen.  He was clearly already in his pajamas, his hair tied back with an elastic atop his head.  Aberdeen remembered that Toronto was an hour ahead, so it was even later for him.  “Hello minskatt,” he smiled.
She’d just showered, and her hair was in a towel.  She tugged it off so she didn’t look too ridiculous.  “Hey Willy.”
“How are you, minskatt?” he asked sweetly, biting his bottom lip slightly as he watched her hair fall out of the towel.  “How was today?  Long day?”
She nodded her head.  “Long but good.  I met a lot of the other GMs.  Well, most of them just sort of nodded their head at me after having conversations with Brendan and Kyle before moving on.  It’s like they don’t know how to speak to women.”
“They probably don’t,” he quipped.  “Did Auston behave?”
She smiled.  “Yes, Auston behaved.”
“So I don’t need to kick his ass?”
Aberdeen giggled.  “No.  You’d never, anyway.  He’s one of your best friends.”
“I’d still kick his ass if he gave you a hard time.”
She continued to smile.  “How was your day?  What did you do?”
“Miss you all day,” he said.
She rolled her eyes.  She did that a lot today between him and Auston.  “What did you really do?”
He shrugged.  “Went to the gym.  Talked with my brother.  Just the usual boring stuff.  Nothing as exciting as what you did.”
“Nothing I did was too exciting,” she admitted.  She hated to admit it, but it was true.  “I don’t mean to be rude when I say that.  It’s just – I could have networked, I really could, I mean I know how to work a room, but these guys just weren’t having it.  Well, everyone besides Julien BriseBois from Tampa.  He was super nice.”
“It’s okay, minskatt.  I’m sure tomorrow will be better,” he said encouragingly.  “There’s a luncheon, right?”
She nodded her head, a bit surprised that he remembered her schedule.  She hoped that would run smoother than what had happened today at the welcome reception.  But now, at this moment, with Willy on FaceTime and two more days until she got to see him in Nashville, she didn’t want to talk about work.  She’d only left him this morning and she was already missing him.  “Hey Willy?”
“Hmm?”
“I…I’ve never really asked, but why do you always call me that?  Minskatt?” she asked.
“Because that’s what you are,” he said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
She knew that it meant ‘my treasure’.  She remembered that quite vividly.  “Yeah, but like…why my treasure?  Why not just darling or honey or whatever?”
“Do you want me to call you those?” he asked worriedly.
“No!  Not at all.  I…I like minskatt.  I love it, actually,” she admitted for the first time out loud.  After months of blushing about it and hearing him say it in her dreams, she was finally able to admit it.  “I just don’t know why you’d choose that over the hundreds of other things.”
William shrugged his shoulders again.  “I just heard it a lot growing up from my grandparents.  My grandpa would call my grandma that all the time.  When I was really small, I thought it was her actual name.  And I just…I don’t know.  I think it’s the nicest thing.  Because you’re my treasure.  That what you are to me, always.  From the moment I met you.  You’re my treasure.”
Aberdeen smiled sheepishly.  God, he was so…good.  So pure.  So characteristically William that she honestly didn’t have another word for it.  “For what it’s worth, you’re my treasure too, Willy.”

January 25th, 2020
Aberdeen decided to get breakfast on her own, without waiting for Brendan to call.  She’d fallen asleep talking to William last night – they both had, gag – but she still felt pretty energized and ready for the day.  She threw her hair in a bun, knowing it would be easier to style when she got back from breakfast for the luncheon, and put on a simple pair of yoga tights and a University of Toronto hoodie.
She figured that most of the guys were either still asleep or would have ordered room service, and she was pleased to see that the dining room for the continental breakfast was basically two-thirds empty.  She grabbed a plate and loaded it with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, and hashbrowns.  She then poured herself some coffee and orange juice and settled into a table, taking out her phone so she could browse the news or read an article while she ate.
She was in a completely tranquil state of mind until she heard a voice from behind her.  “Hey!”
It startled her.  She turned around to see Mitch standing behind her, holding a plate stacked with food.  “What are you doing up so early?”
“Same thing as you – eating!” he smiled.  He looked behind him.  “Hey guys!  Aberdeen’s here!”
She leaned back to look past him and saw Fred’s giant body towering over the egg buffet and Auston looking like he literally just rolled out of bed pouring some cereal into a bowl.  Fred smiled and Auston waved.  She looked back at Mitch.  “You’re all up?”
“You seem shocked,” he said as she settled into the seat across from her.
“I’m not shocked about you, because you’re just an excitable puppy,” she said.  “I’m more surprised about Auston.  Does he usually get up this early?”
“You’d be surprised,” Mitch shrugged.  “When we’re on the hockey grind, early wake up calls are just a part of life.”
Fred and Auston came to the table eventually, with Fred sitting beside Aberdeen and Auston beside Mitch.  They spoke casually – about the events of last night and the upcoming day ahead of them, what they would do with their day off tomorrow before having the fly to Nashville on Monday to meet the rest of the team.  Auston suggested that they all go to the big arch.  Mitch wanted to have lunch at a smokehouse.  Fred wanted would arrange the Ubers.
They looked at Aberdeen.  It was a while before she noticed.  “What?” she asked with a mouth full of breakfast sausage.
“What do you want to do Sunday?” Mitch asked like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
She was confused.  “I’m coming?”
“Obviously,” Auston piped up.
“Why would you think you’re not invited?” Fred asked.  “You’ve been with us for how long now?”
“I just…I don’t know,” she digressed.  “I know I’m, like, part of the team or whatever—”
“So why wouldn’t you come?” Fred followed up.
“I—you guys constantly freak me out, you know that?” she asked.  “Like, I don’t get why a bunch of hot shot hockey players want me to tag along with them on their day off.”
“Why wouldn’t you think that?  Willy likes you tagging along everywhere,” Auston said.
Aberdeen suddenly stiffened at Auston’s words, thrown around so casually, but they were so charged for her.  “So does Jason,” Mitch added quickly.  “And Brendan, even.  I mean, Brendan wouldn’t have invited you here if he didn’t trust you with us, or you with us, you know?  I mean, the All-Star Game is Peter’s thing.”
She’d heard that once or twice before.  “It’s just it’s still new to me, that’s all,” she said, trying to remain calm.  “I don’t want to intrude on your private time.  I’m already around you guys practically all the time as it is.  I don’t want to overstay my welcome.”
“Not sure that’s possible,” Mitch said.  “You’re always welcome with us.  We love you, Aberdeen.”
***
When Aberdeen went back up to her room after breakfast, she took a long look at herself in the mirror.  Long.  She knew she was loved by many people: by her parents, her grandparents, her siblings, by Kasha, by friends like Masani and Tom and Margot.  By Brendan, at least in his own way.  By William.  She was loved by William.
Could she add the Toronto Maple Leafs to that list?

February 5th, 2020
New York City in the beginning of February was much different than, say, New York City in the summer, even New York City at Christmas.  With nothing to really look forward to – no holiday or event, no long stretch of time where the city swelled with tourists and it felt so alive – New York City was just…well, New York City.  Big.  Imposing.  Busy.
Brendan had lived here for a few years, both as a player and an NHL executive, and he’d gone out for an extended lunch with a friend, so Aberdeen had nothing better to do than to walk down to Magnolia bakery and grab a half dozen cupcakes to eat and then bring home to share with Kasha – two red velvet with cream cheese icing, one confetti, one lemon, one coconut, and one truffle.  It was her way of saying thanks, because Kasha had been picking up donuts from Bloomers or Glory Hole at least once a month since they moved in together.  The perks of flying on a chartered flight was that she knew the cupcakes would be safe all the way back to Toronto.
When she got back to the arena, she made sure the box of cupcakes was placed in the box where she’d be with Brendan and Kyle that night, knowing that nobody would touch it. It was when she exited the press box and began making her way through the corridors between the locker rooms that she saw someone she was not expecting at all: Saylor, Kasperi’s girlfriend.  She looked very glamourous, with her hair and makeup done professionally.
When she looked up from her phone – which she didn’t do often – and saw Aberdeen, she smiled excitedly.  “Ohmygod, hi Aberdeen!” she greeted her enthusiastically.
“Hi, Saylor.  You traveled to New York with Kasperi?” she asked, trying to make small talk.
“I actually had a shoot booked, but I scheduled it so I could come to New York the same time as the guys came,” she revealed, clearly proud she was able to get the gig.  “You know, because I model.”
Aberdeen resisted the urge to roll her eyes.  Saylor reminded her every time they spoke about her modelling.  Well, Instagram modelling.  Aberdeen didn’t think she’d ever walked a runway or appeared in an editorial.  It was mostly just the aforementioned Instagram modelling with a YouTube channel where brands would send her clothes or “collab” with her for exposure.  “Yeah, I remember Saylor.  Sounds fun.”
“It is!” she smiled excitedly.  “I’ve been super lucky so far.  But I mean hey, with a bit of makeup and good angles, lots of girls could be models.”
“I’m sure,” Aberdeen giggled.  “Wouldn’t be me though.  Not with these bushy Persian brows,” she joked, knowing full well thick brows were very in right now and that a lot of girls got them dyed or microbladed to look like hers.
“Persian?” Saylor was confused.
“Yeah.  My dad’s Persian.”
“Ohmigosh, I knew you were mixed with something!  Your nose totally gives it away.”
Aberdeen froze, though a strained smile was on her face.  She knew she had a Greek nose, that it was pretty big with a prominent bridge, not elegant at all like Siena’s, but she didn’t think it was that big of a deal.  She didn’t know what Saylor was trying to say or imply, but she tried to play along anyway.  “I thought it’d be my hair.”
“Well, that too.”
Aberdeen nodded her head.  Before she could say anything else, Saylor’s phone began ringing.  “It’s my agency,” she said as she looked down at her phone.  “I’ll talk to you later.”
“See ya.”
Aberdeen watched as Saylor left, her hips swaying back and forth in her skin tight Levis.  She brought her hand up to her face, feeling the bridge of her nose before patting down her hair.  She sighed.  At least Saylor didn’t see the Magnolia cupcake box – she probably would have made a comment about that, too.
Aberdeen thought back to New Year’s Eve, when Morgan and John sat at her table and told her the story about Bee; about how she’d gotten messages from fans making fun of her weight and looks and how they’d called her the team cum bucket.  Aberdeen shivered.  She didn’t understand how people could have such vitriol in their heart for another person they hadn’t even met.  And having it be directed towards Bee McTavish of all people.  Those were targeted attacks, mostly because they were jealous of who Bee was dating (as they should, because Morgan was a great guy).  But Aberdeen wondered if Bee ever got those types of comments from people she knew – other wives or girlfriends who maybe couldn’t hold their tongue or thought that looks were the be all, end all of someone’s worth.
Aberdeen knew better than to think that way.  She knew it was all bullshit.  How you presented yourself to the world was one thing – with your clothes, your hair, your makeup – and it was somewhat an extension of you, but it wasn’t who you were as a person.  Like, Aberdeen always liked to look fashionable and presentable at work, because she knew she was in a highly professional environment and on any given day she’d shake hands and speak with a billionaire, but her clothes didn’t define her.  Her personality defined her.  Her work ethic defined her.  Her respect for her job, her bosses, and her colleagues defined her.  Her ambitions defined her more than her clothes ever would, than her clothes ever could.  She knew Saylor didn’t mean any harm, that it probably wasn’t said maliciously at all, that it was only said because she didn’t know any better and nobody in her privileged life had called her out on her language that bordered on offensive.  Aberdeen wasn’t going to hold it against her unless it kept happening and it did get offensive.
But she highly doubted that.
***
The Leafs lost to the New York Rangers 5-3.
William had knocked on her room door.
She let him in.
He kissed her the second the door closed and she felt overwhelmed by the feeling of his lips on hers, like she always did, really.  They hadn’t been able to connect in Nashville or Dallas after the All-Star Game because her room was right beside Brendan’s, so they had to wait until the night they got back to Toronto.  The Leafs weren’t doing particularly well lately, but nobody would be able to tell by the way William was acting.  He brushed off the losses fairly easily, not liking to dwell on them too much.
“You okay after tonight?” she asked.
“It’s fine, minskatt,” he said as he kissed the tip of her nose.  “Better now.”
She smiled slightly.  She highly doubted that she made the situation better, but she’d take it.  “Come to the washroom with me.  I have to wash my face.”
“That’s sexy.”
She smacked his arm.  He just gripped onto her hips tighter.  “I can ask you to leave.”
“You’d have to make me at this point, and I’m a strong boy,” he raised his eyebrows.
She scoffed, dragging him into the washroom with her as she took off her makeup and cleansed her face.  William leaned his body against the wall behind her, so she was able to see him and look at him through the mirror.  He was so patient, and literally just watched her as she went about her nightly routine.  He didn’t say a peep, didn’t complain, didn’t rush her.  He just watched her with a look in his eye that told her, fascinatingly, that he was enjoying just watching her, like he was captivated by her simplest movements.
She pat her face dry, looking at him through the mirror.  “Can I ask you something?” she asked.  It was so quiet she could practically hear the electric current going through the lightbulb.
“Of course, minskatt.”
She was hesitant, mostly because she didn’t really know if William knew anything about it, but also because she should probably be asking Morgan.  She set the towel down on the counter.  “Do you know what happened with Bee last year?”
William didn’t look too bothered by the question.  “You mean when her mom passed away?” he asked.
“No,” she shook her head.  “The…the other thing.”
“Oh, that,” William nodded his head.  “Yeah, I know what happened.”
“Morgan said it was someone who knew Kasperi’s ex.”
“It was.  Her name was Cassie.  Kasperi’s ex, I mean,” he clarified as he stepped closer towards her.  “The girl who actually approached Bee in the restaurant was named Danielle.”
“Had you ever met them before?” she asked.
“Cassie, of course.  Danielle, no,” he said.  “Why?”
“Does Kasperi exclusively date models?”
“Basically,” he giggled slightly.  “Why, minskatt?”
“It’s nothing,” she shook her head.  “I just—I saw Saylor earlier tonight, and she mentioned how she was in New York City for a photoshoot with a brand or something.”
“She’s one of those Instagram models,” he said, wrapping his arms around her and nestling his head into the crook of her neck.  He placed light kisses on her skin that made her feel temporarily drunk.  “You should be a model,” he mumbled against her skin.
“Yeah, I don’t think so,” Aberdeen replied sarcastically, though the feeling of his lips still on her skin made her brain mush.
“Oh come on.  You’d be a great model.  My model,” he continued with his compliments and with his kissing.
“Not with this nose,” Aberdeen quipped.  “At least that’s what Saylor said.”
William stopped his movements.  It was quiet again.  She continued to watch him through the mirror as he looked at her, speechless.  It shouldn’t have come out like that.  She didn’t plan for it to come out like that.  But like most things to do with William, nothing ever went according to plan.  Ignoring him certainly didn’t go to plan – look where they were with that.  “Excuse me?” he asked, finally.  “What did she say to you?”
“It’s honestly not even a big deal,” Aberdeen said, trying to sound as confident as possible.  “She found out I was half-Persian and was like ‘Oh your nose totally gives it away’,” she mimicked Saylor’s voice.  “Then when I mentioned as a joke that I thought it would have been my hair that gave it away, she was like, ‘That too’, like it was so obvious.”
William looked angry – a confused angry, like he couldn’t believe something like that was said to her by someone so close to one of his best friends, but at the same time, could totally see it being said by her in particular.  Nobody else had commented on it when they found out – at least nobody on the team had – but of course Saylor did.  “Minskatt—”
“Please don’t make this a big deal,” she interrupted him, seeing the look in his eyes.  “It’s not the first time someone has said something like that to me and it’s definitely not going to be the last.”
If she didn’t want him to make a big deal out of it, he wouldn’t.  That didn’t mean that he wasn’t still angry about it, though.  And it didn’t mean he’d look at Saylor differently now for what she said.  “But minskatt…you know I think you’re beautiful, right?” he asked softly.
Aberdeen nodded her head.  “I do,” she said confidently.  “I know you do.  But, like – and no offence – but I think I’m beautiful.  And – again, no offence – that’s more important than you thinking it.  I have enough confidence in my appearance to not let it affect me.  That’s why it doesn’t matter what she said.”
William smiled at her.  Proudly.  “No offence taken,” he said, biting his lip.  “That’s all that matters.  Still makes me want to talk to her though.”
Aberdeen whipped around so she could face him.  “Don’t you dare,” she warned.
William’s smile turned from prideful to facetious.  “Gotcha.”
Aberdeen scrunched her face at him, but he didn’t care.  He dipped down and kissed her again, refusing to stop even as he picked her up in his arms and placed her on the vanity.  He stood in between her thighs as he kissed her and kissed her and kissed her, not wanting to ever stop.  “You know I think you’re pretty great, right?” he mumbled against her lips.
Aberdeen stopped, their faces only inches apart as she stared at him, smiling slightly.  She brought her hand up and let her thumb caress his bottom lip, the slightest bit swollen from all their kissing.  His eyes were so, so blue as she looked into them.  Sometimes she didn’t think he was real.  “I think you’re pretty great, too.”

READER POV:
You still couldn’t believe that you were walking hand in hand with Tyler Seguin. You two were taking a short stroll to the dog park by his house. Tyler had a small bag with water for the two of you and the dogs; as well as some toys for the dogs to play with. You two were chatting about nothing of consequence on the way.
Once you got to the park Tyler let the dogs off their leashes. The dogs ran free a bit while you got them some toys out to play with. You had been playing a game of fetch with the dogs for a while when Tyler asked, “so did you get a chance to look at your schedule for the week?”
“Yeah, I’ll be in Denver on Tuesday and Wednesday; quite possibly Thursday if things don’t go well. Though I’m hoping that doesn’t happen. But I’ve got nothing on my calendar for Friday.” You were in human resources and had to travel to go over a new package plan the company was looking at taking on.
You thought you saw a frown of disappointment on Tyler’s face; but then he said, “well Friday it is then. This time I’m planning the date.”
“Great. Just please tell me there will be wine. I know I’m gonna need it after this trip.”
Tyler chuckled. “I think I can arrange that. So, will you get to see any of Denver when you’re there?”
“I doubt it. It will probably be meetings and seminars during the day, maybe dinner at night. I’m not one hundred percent sure. These things are usually boring, but I’m hoping by going it will lead to a promotion. One of our VPs just stepped down a month ago. They still haven’t filled the job, but my boss told me I’m definitely up for it.”
“Wow, that’s awesome (Y/N). You must really love your work.”
“Yeah, I like it well enough. The people are great and the pay is better. If I get this promotion, I may look at buying a bigger house and think about getting my own one of these,” you stated gesturing to the dogs.
“It’s funny you talk about buying a house. There’s this one I’ve had my eye on for a while. I heard it’s going on the market soon. I was thinking about moving myself.”
“Seriously! Your house is gorgeous. Most people would kill for a house like that.” You couldn’t believe he would even consider moving, but considering the type of money, he was making it probably wasn’t that big of a deal to him. You knew he had just signed a big contract to stay in Dallas for a while, so it wasn’t like he couldn’t afford his current house and a new one.
“Well, I’ve wanted this one for a long time, it just wasn’t available. It has a huge yard for these guys to run around in,” Tyler said motioning to the dogs. “But hey, if I do move. I know of a great house you could buy.”
You laughed, “I said I was possibly getting a promotion not winning the lottery.”
“Hey, I’d give you a good deal.” Tyler winked at you. “Gerry, no! Stop digging.” While you two were talking Gerry wandered off and started digging a hole to China. Marshall and Cash stayed by you. They looked a little parched, so you dug in the bag Tyler had brought and got the water and bowls out for them. Tyler finally got Gerry wrangled back to where you guys were. “I swear this dog is gonna be the death of me,” he muttered.
You had Gerry’s bowl with water and bent down to give it to him. “You’re not bad, are you, Gerry. Your just in your toddler phase and need lots of attention.”
Tyler sat down on the park bench, patting the seat beside him for you to sit down. “Hey, I almost forgot to ask you this. Jamie would’ve killed me,” you furrowed your brow at him. Wondering what Jamie had to do with this. “He asked me if I could get him the number of your friend Becca.”
“Really? They would be so cute together,” you exclaimed. “But wait, he’s not just….you know, just looking for a quick lay or something.” Tyler busted out laughing. You hit him playfully in the shoulder. “Stop it’s not funny. I need to have my friend’s back.”
Once his laughter was under control he finally said, “I’m not laughing at you. I’m laughing at the fact you think Chubbs would be looking for a one-nighter. If you knew him like I did, he’s the last guy that would do that.”
“Oh well in that case, sure I’ll give it to you.” You took out your phone and messaged Tyler, Becca’s contact information. “Tell him, he better treat her good or I’ll be after him.”
“He will or I’ll kick his ass myself.”
You reached over, touching Tyler’s cheek and brought his lips to yours for a kiss. You didn’t intend for it to get so passionate, especially in public; but what started as something innocent soon turned into something heated. You moaned into his mouth as Tyler took control of the kiss, sweeping his tongue inside. His hands traveled down your ribcage and slowly moved under your shirt. That’s when you regained your senses and remembered you were on a public park bench; and that anyone could see you two. You moved your hand down to his, stopping him and slowing down the kiss.
“Sorry,” Tyler whispered. “I didn’t mean for it to go that far.”
“It’s just….” you waved your hand out; trying to point out where the two of you were.
“Yeah, I know. You make me forget everything when I’m around you.”
“Mmmm. I know what you mean,” you agreed. You reached over and grabbed a ball that the dogs had abandon. You needed a little space after that heated interaction with Tyler. You had just meant to give him a small kiss, thanking him for being so sweet about your friend, but the next thing you knew; you two were in a full-on make-out session. What was it about Tyler that had you throwing all your rules about dating out the window? You never went out with a guy twice in a row when you first met them, let alone see them three days in a row. You always gave yourself some time to process things. You never let yourself get carried away in public like this. Hell, you’d dated Kyle for a couple of years and you rarely held hands when you were in public. As much as you were regretting this work trip; you thought you needed it. Maybe it would give you some time to cool off. You wanted to make sure that this was more than just a sexual attraction between you too. The last two nights had been amazing and Tyler was being everything you wanted in a man and so much more; or was it just a game he played to get women in bed. You didn’t think so. You thought everything about him was genuine and you’d already made a mistake the first night in prejudging him. Gerry came up to you then, bringing you out of your thoughts. You tossed the ball for him to go get. Tyler came up behind you then.
He must have sensed where your thoughts were taking you. His chin relaxed on your shoulder as his arms wrapped around you. “Penny for your thoughts,” he whispered in your ear. You frowned, maybe you should tell him your fears. You always said communication was key in any relationship. Not saying that you and Tyler were in a relationship at the moment. You took a deep breath, slowly turning in his arms.
“Can we just talk for a minute? You know,” motioning between you two. “About this,” you sighed.
Tyler got a worried expression on his face. You ran your hands up and down his arms trying to reassure him and maybe yourself in some way. “Sure, you wanna head back to my place first? I think the guys are all played out.” You noticed Gerry had dropped the ball at your feet and was just laying over by Cash and Marshall.
“Yeah, that would be good.” You were relieved to have the little respite of a walk back to gather your thoughts. The walk back was pretty much silent; you still held Tyler’s hand, but you could tell he was just as nervous as you were. The more you thought about things the more you knew that you just needed reassurance from him. That you weren’t just some fly by night girl that he took a fancy to; but how did you say that to him without offending him? You walked into the house behind Tyler, where he took the leashes off the dogs; you just sort of standing behind him.
“You want a drink,” he asked.
“Water would be great.” He grabbed two bottles of water out of the fridge, took your hand and led you to the sofa.
Where did you start? You took a deep breath and got ready to just tell him all the things going on in your head. Tyler stopped you before you could even start. “Before you say anything, can I just say something first.” You nodded for him to continue. “I like you (Y/N), I like you a lot. From the moment you walked in that club, I never looked at you as someone who was just; what did you say that night…oh yeah, a one-night stand. I knew there was more between us, and I want that. I really do. Look I know you’re scared and so am I. I’m scared that my fucking reputation is going make you run. I can’t change what I did in the past, but what I want, what I’m trying to do is show you I’m not that guy. I admit I got a little carried away earlier, but damn woman you make me forget my own name when I kiss you.” You smiled at that. This was exactly what you needed to hear. You were getting ready to tell him exactly that but he kept going, taking your hand in his. “I know this is moving really fast. I mean we’ve only officially been on one date, but I’m not going to lie. I just want to spend more time with you. Like all the time. I’m bummed I can’t see you for another five days, but you can bet your sweet ass…and it’s one sweet ass…I’m going to be calling, texting and facetime you every day until then. I just need you to know, I’m not going anywhere and we can move at whatever speed you want. Ok, now you go.” He said that last part in a rush almost like he was afraid of what you would say and if he didn’t tell you to go ahead, he’d lose his nerve.
He was looking down at your entwined hands. You started moving your thumb back and forth across his knuckles. “I like you a lot too, Tyler.” He looked up at you and smiled then. “And you’re right, I am scared. That kiss scared the shit out of me; because at that moment, I forgot where we were; that we were in the middle of a damn park making out like we were sixteen. And well I’m afraid too, that I could just wake up some morning and you not have any interest in me at all.” He opened his mouth to say something then but you held your hand up. “You’re Tyler Seguin, and yes I know your reputation and that’s why I blew you off at first. But I can see now that we both want the same thing. I’m not gonna lie to you though and tell you I’m one hundred percent comfortable. Because there is this small part of me that thinks you’ll go out some night and some other girl is going to turn your head her way and this will all be over. And right now, I like this; you, me, the dogs. It just all feels right.”
He did speak then, “It’s not going to happen (Y/N). No one is going to turn my head away from you. But I have the same doubts, you know. Don’t you get how beautiful you are? I watched you in the club before I bumped into you. Guys were circling around you, just begging you to look their way. I have the same fear as you. That some guy is just going to come and sweep you off your feet before I even get the chance to show what it can be like between us.” He ran his fingers through his hair then, clearly nervous; either about telling you his feelings or thinking about you being with someone else.
“The only guy I want is sitting right in front of me. I don’t want to slow down Tyler. I like where this is going; so, I guess we both need to start trusting each other to make this thing work.”
He looked you in the eyes, “I can do that if you can.”
“I can too.” His head leaned down to capture your lips in a devastatingly sweet kiss. It was one full of promises and you finally let yourself go. Willing him to feel all the hopes that you had for the two of you. He scooped you up and set you on his lap as the kiss got more intense. This time when Tyler’s hands began to roam under your shirt you didn’t stop him. His hand sliding up to caress your breasts over your bra. You moaned into his mouth while his hands rubbed across your nipples. He started raining kisses down your neck and you arched your back to give him greater access. Everything he was doing felt so good, but you needed to touch him, feel his skin on your hands. So, you gathered his shirt and let your hands explore. This time it was his turn to moan, but when he did Gerry barked. Causing you to look over and see the dogs staring at you two. You both busted out laughing. “Looks like we have an audience,” you blushed as you leaned your head down on Tyler’s shoulder.
“Gerry, you and I are going to have a serious talk about not cockblocking me,” Tyler chided the dog. You giggled at that; while Gerry just looked happily at Tyler. “They probably are waiting for dinner. I normally feed them now.” He said looking at the time.
“Well I should probably be heading home anyway,” you told him.
“Stay, just a little longer. We can order a pizza or something.”
You really should head home. You had work in the morning, but a couple hours wouldn’t hurt. “Ok,” you agreed.
Tyler took out his phone and you two ordered a pizza. You were about to slide off his lap so he could feed the dogs, but he tightened his grip on you. “Wait, I need to do one more thing.” He turned the camera of his phone on and held his arm out. “I need a pic of us,” he stated. You tilted your head to his and smiled.
“Can you send me that,” you asked.
“Already done.”
TYLER’S POV
You couldn’t believe you had just tried to feel up (Y/N) in public. God, you just lost your head around her at times. You couldn’t tell what was going through her mind as she got off the bench. You wanted so much more with her, yet here you were trying to take advantage in a public place. When she told you, she wanted to talk your heart sank. You had this overwhelming feeling that she was going to tell you she didn’t want to see you again. You needed time to think; which thankfully she agreed to talk at your house. The walk home gave you a chance to gather your thoughts. You were just going to lay it all out there. You were never good at communicating your feelings, but there was too much at stake this time to not.
She let you speak first. You were so nervous that you’d say the wrong thing. You couldn’t look at her until she finally spoke. But when her first words were, “I like you a lot too, Tyler,” you released the breath you’d been holding and looked up and smiled at her. She voiced her concerns about you finding someone better than her. You couldn’t really believe that she would even consider that. Did she not know how amazing she was? You’d just told Jamie this morning that she was your dream girl, and she truly was. If anyone needed to be concerned it was you. (Y/N) was smart and witty and dropped dead gorgeous. She probably had a line of men just waiting to ask her out. You were just a dumb jock, that used to take home whatever bimbo you could find to ease the loneliness. It was you who had to worry that she’d wise up one day and leave you for someone more worthy of her. But until then, you were going to show her how much she meant to you; if she’d let you.
You were relieved when she finally told you the only guy, she wanted was you; and that she didn’t want to go any slower. It wasn’t a surprise that when you kissed it got heated really quick. Having her here in your house just felt right and you were sure things were going to go farther until Gerry cut things short. That was twice in one day. You and Gerry were going to have it out when (Y/N) left.
(Y/N) agreed to stay, so you guys ordered a pizza. When you had your phone out you came to the realization that you needed a picture of her, since she was going to be gone for the next week. So, you quickly snapped a picture and sent it off to her as well. You got up and fed the dogs while you waited for the delivery guy. “Want some wine,” you asked (Y/N). She agreed and you told her to pick something out of the wine fridge.
You poured a couple glass of the cabernet she picked and the two of you went back to the couch. “So, what’s your schedule this week,” (Y/N) asked you.
“Pretty much practice and working out. Getting ready for training camp next week.”
“Do you just stay here for that or ….” She gestured with her hand.
“This year it’s in Boise for some ungodly reason. Probably afraid we’ll all get up to no good if we go someplace worthwhile.”
“So, you’re gone next week and I’m gone this week. We make a great pair.” She chuckled.
“Oh, but we have all this coming weekend though. Don’t make any plans,” you told her.
“You have my undivided attention,” she said with a wink.
The doorbell rang, signaling the pizza was here. You jumped up, the dogs barking behind you and answered the door. When you came back (Y/N) was in the kitchen searching the cupboards for plates. She found them and brought two down. “Where do you take the dogs when you leave for that long,” She asked casually.
“I have a dog sitter that comes in a couple times a day when I’m out on long road trips or sometimes a friend will come in and stay with them. Just depends. This time they have a sitter coming in.”
“Oh well if you ever need me to watch them, I’d be happy too. They’re such good boys. Aren’t ya guys.”
“That would be great. Maybe I’ll have you stop in while I’m gone.” You two continued the conversation talking about random stuff. When you finished the pizza, you asked her to stay and watch a movie with you. You still weren’t ready for her to leave you for the week.
“Ok but nothing like three hours long,” she agreed.
You turned on Netflix, scanning through the movies. Learning that she’d watch anything but horror. You weren’t much of a horror movie fan yourself but if it meant she would curl up in your arms; you’d turn that damn movie ‘It’ on that you’d heard so much about. You settled on Million Dollar Baby. As you were sitting on the couch next to her, you put your arm around her; having her lean her body against you. Her hand was resting on your thigh and you had to focus on the movie instead of thinking about where you really wanted that hand to be. Cash had plopped down by your feet, with Marshall and Gerry finding spots on the sofa. You wished you could capture this moment because right now this was everything you wanted your life to be. You leaned down and placed a kiss on (Y/N)’s head and she snuggled deeper into you. You had everything you wanted and needed right here. The only thing that could make it better is if she didn’t have to leave. But you weren’t going to think about that now. You were just going to enjoy this moment, and think about all the ones that were to come.
Her head was resting on your chest and you could feel her body relaxing more and more. You let yourself get comfortable as well. Your mind not really paying attention to the movie. You were thinking about the beauty in your arms and how lucky you were to see her that night in the club. Your eyes got heavy and you let them drift close. You’re not sure what startled you, but the next thing you knew your eyes popped open to find the movie over. (Y/N) was asleep in your arms, a small smile on her lips. You glanced down at your watch to find it was almost two in the morning. Shit, (Y/N) had work in the morning. You didn’t want to wake her, but you knew she’d be frantic if she woke up later on. “(Y/N),” you whispered. When she didn’t stir you gave her a little squeeze. “Hey babe, you gotta wake up. It’s almost two.” Her heavy lids slowly opened. Her smile growing wider as she saw your face.
“Mmmmm what did you say,” she asked sleepily.
“It’s almost two in the morning. Not that I want you to leave but you did say you have work tomorrow.”
She jumped out of your arms, scaring Marshall in the process. “Shit!” she whispered. “I must have fallen asleep.” She was scrambling out of the couch, looking around realizing fully where she was now.
You stretched your arms out, yawning in the process. “Yeah, we both did.”
She looked back at you then, smiling. “I really gotta go.” You stood up knowing what she was saying was true but still wishing that you had more time with her. She popped up and gave you a quick kiss on the lips. “I’ll call you tomorrow,” she promised as she turned to grab her stuff and leave.
You weren’t having any of it. You grabbed her waist and pulled her back against you. “That’s not how you say goodbye to your boyfriend when you leave him for a week.” You whispered into her ear.
“Boyfriend, huh?” you could tell your use of the term had her intrigued.
“Yep,” you answered, your hands rubbing up and down her back.
“So, how exactly am I supposed to then,” she queried.
“Like this,” you said as your lips found hers. She opened immediately to you. Sweeping her tongue in to dance with yours. It went on for a long time like that, your mouths exploring each other; neither one of you wanting it to end. She finally broke the kiss, both of you breathing harshly.
“I really do have to go,” (Y/N) said again.
“Are you ok to drive home,” concern laced your voice.
Smiling up at you she responded, “Yes, I’m good to drive. I’ll miss you.”
“I’ll miss you too,” you replied honestly, with that she slinked out of your arms; grabbing her purse and heading out the door.
She called you the next night as she was packing for her trip. “Are you sure you don’t need to me to come over and help,” you half teased her.
“I have to be at the airport at five a.m. or maybe I’d say yes to that.”
“Who’s taking you to the airport? I usually get up around then to work out, I could take you,” you offered.
“Thanks, but Jim is picking me up.”
“Who’s Jim?”
“Just a guy I work with. He’s going to Denver as well.” You felt a twinge of jealousy. (Y/N) had never mentioned this Jim guy before. Was he good looking? Better yet, what were his feelings towards (Y/N). You had so many questions reeling inside your head, but you weren’t sure how to ask them. This was all kinds of new to you; you weren’t used to being this jealous. Your silence must have prompted her to add, “don’t worry he’s married with kids, and like as old as my dad.”
“I wasn’t worried,” you quickly answered back. That was a lie, but you were relieved that this Jim character wasn’t going to be hitting on your girl.
“I’m gonna put you on speaker,” she told you. “just gotta grab a few more things and I’ll be good to go.”
“How was work today,” you asked.
“Pretty good, I just tried to get everything caught up before leaving. I hate walking back into the office with a million things still piled on my desk. Oh, by the way, I mentioned to Becca that I gave you her number to give to Jamie. But I also told her that you guys had training camp so it might be a while before he calls. I didn’t want to get her hopes up and then have him not call her or something.”
“I’m sure he will at some point, but he can be rather slow when it comes to women. I’m usually his wingman, but he’s gotta fly solo from now on. Not sure if you heard, but I’m off the market,” you teased.
(Y/N) giggled. “Mmhmm, I had heard something like that. Lucky girl.”
“Nah, I’m the lucky one.”
The conversation continued for about an hour, before (Y/N) finally said. “Well, I should get going. I want to grab a quick shower tonight.” God, what you wouldn’t give to be in that shower with her.
“Yeah, ok; I get it. Kick me to the curb.”
“Oh, stop,” she laughed. “You know I would stay on the phone all night with you if I could.”
“I know. Text me when you land so I know you got there ok.”
“Ok, I will. Talk to you soon.” She said and made a kissing noise into the phone.
You reciprocated with one of your own. “Bye babe. Be safe.” With that, you hung up the phone and headed to bed yourself. These next few days were going to be endless, knowing you couldn’t see or touch her.

Angel in the Graveyard
In New Orleans, there have been two attacks on college kids. Unexplained deaths, talks of statues coming to life, survivors who are unable to leave their homes, and medical staff and police who are beyond stumped... must be an X-File.
This is the first case fic I’ve ever written and I had a lot of fun with it. I hope you enjoy it! Written for @tinglingworld for the Case File Fanfic Exchange.

Chapter One
1/9
Vacherie, Louisiana
October 31, 2017
The music was loud as the car pulled up to the old, abandoned and rundown church, low lights set up in the broken windows. Someone walked in front of the headlights, a black cape billowing behind them.
“God, I’m so ready for this party, y’all,” Arielle said, adjusting her top, reaching in and lifting her breasts and looking down at her cleavage. “So glad I bought this bra. It makes my breasts look amazing.”
“Yeah, it really does, Arielle. Damn girl, how did I not notice that?” Farrah asked, turning off the car and looking at Arielle. “What kind of bra is that? I should have had you get me one.” She looked down at her own chest, finding it looking rather flat compared to the plumpy cleavage Arielle had going on.
“Oh stop, Farrah. You have those fantastically big boobs that don’t need any enhancement. Mine are small and need the extra help,” Arielle said, rolling her eyes as she pulled down the passenger visor and opened the mirror. She took out her lipstick and started applying it. “You want to borrow?”
“I will,” Desiree said from the backseat, leaning forward and taking it. “This is a great color. You always find the best things, Arielle.”
“Half price too, or I wouldn’t have bought it. Never pay full price, ladies.” They all laughed, fixed their hair and costumes, then grabbed their flashlights, before stepping out of the car.
“I hope Davis has a super sexy costume on, maybe a sexy fireman, or something that requires no shirt to go with it,” Arielle said.
“Like an underwear model?” Farrah teased, as they walked carefully down the old broken pathway, their high heels clicking loudly.
“Mmm, yeah. Some short boxer briefs would be more than acceptable.” Arielle nodded, shaking back her long dark hair.
“I bet it would,” Desiree laughed, pulling her long blond Elsa braid over her shoulder, then tugging down the short sparkly blue dress she had made. “God, I think I got the measurements wrong. This dress keeps hiking up.”
“Hope you’re wearing underwear,” Arielle teased and Desiree just shrugged. “Girl…” They all laughed and walked in through the doorway of the church, the front door long gone, and entered a room full of people.
Walking further into the room, they saw many of their friends, all of them in Halloween costumes; though most of the girls were simply scantily dressed. They waved to the DJ, who pointed to his left and they nodded, the music too loud to speak as they continued walking through the church.
Walking into what used to be a small kitchen, they found bottles of alcohol sitting on an old dirty counter, along with Halloween themed bowls of snacks- chips and pretzels mostly. As the church had no power, and the DJ system ran off of a generator, all the rooms were lit by camping lanterns placed around the room to fill it with light.
In the middle of a counter sat a smoking black cauldron full of dry ice. Around it sat numerous bottles of alcohol and plastic black and orange cups. They reached for their bottle of choice and grabbed a cup.
“Boo!” Yelled a voice and all of the girls screamed, dropping their cups to the floor. Turning around, they found Davis, taking off the half mask he wore as he laughed.
“Ass!!” Arielle yelled, smacking at him with a smile. Looking him up and down, she tilted her head to the side. “So, what exactly are you supposed to be?”
He stepped back and put out his arms, showing off the black cape tied around his neck. He was bare chested, his brown skin highlighted by the soft light, and he was wearing black board shorts. Spinning around, he smiled as he faced them again.
“Well… what do you think I am?” He waited and Farrah watched Arielle look him up and down again with a smirk.
“I’m not entirely sure, but I like the lack of clothing involved,” she said, her hands landing on his chest, pulling them away quickly. He laughed and looked at Farah.
“You’re good at riddles. What do you think?” He gestured to himself and she narrowed her eyes, letting them travel over his body.
“Cape, swim trunks, no shirt… hmm.” She tapped a finger to her chin and he spun around, his arms once again stretched out. “Some sort of swimming superhero? Someone who can swim the length of a pool or body of water very quickly?” She raised her eyebrows knowing that could not possibly be what his costume was, as it looked more like he had made no effort whatsoever.
“Sounds as good as anything. I just grabbed whatever I could find to pass as a costume.” He shrugged and they all laughed, Farrah nodding, knowing she had been right.
Picking up their cups from the floor, they tossed them into a large plastic trash can. Resuming the task they had set out to accomplish, they made their drinks, tasting each of them and exclaiming over how delicious they all were. Walking back to the main room, they danced with their drinks as they listened to the DJ.
______________
Standing outside amidst the crumbled stones of the courtyard, within their own small group of friends in the back of the church a while later, a few joints were passed around between them, except for Jenkins who had agreed to be the designated driver.
“I so needed this tonight,” Farrah said as she blew perfect smoke rings, much to the approval of the group. “School has got me wound tighter than ever. I don’t know what I was thinking, changing my major this late in the game. I am either incredibly stupid or it’s all gonna work out.”
“Is it mean if I say it might be a little of both?” Becca asked, her green eyes shining. She had arrived later than the others, changing into her costume in the kitchen, the group cheering her on when she had gotten down to the skimpy bathing suit she had under her clothes, claiming she was Malibu Barbie as she shook out her long golden blonde hair.
“No, because it’s how I feel too,” Farrah said, taking another hit before passing the joint to Zara. “Z? You hittin’ this?” She shook her head and looked around the yard with a heavy sigh.
“Did y’all see where Zach went? He said he was going to take a piss, but he’s not back yet.”
“I’m sure he’s fine,” Davis said, reaching over and taking the joint from Farrah. “I mean it’s not like he could go a lot of places.”
They all looked out at the large area in front of them, the dark of the night seemingly darker as compared to their flashlights and the glow of the inside of the church.
“This place is fantastically creepy, isn’t it?” Becca asked as she shook her head. “Seriously, some of the places we’ve been have been good, but this place is truly the shit. I mean, the last place wasn’t a church with a graveyard behind it, so bonus points already.”
“We should play hide and seek!” Tyler cried, a normally quiet and reserved guy, but when he drank, he was far more outgoing.
“In these heels?” Arielle asked and shook her head. “You must be out of your goddamn mind.” She closed her eyes with a happy smile and they all laughed.
“Oh, come on,” Davis said, untying his cape and letting it drop. “We can hide together. Buddy up, you know?”
“Oh. Well, then hell yes. I’m in.” She stood up and Davis grabbed her elbow, helping her become steady on her feet. He shook his head with a laugh and looked at everyone else.
“Who’s in?”
They all scattered, laughing as they grabbed their flashlights and ran into the dark night. Farrah had a hold of Tyler’s hand, mellow and chilled from the pot and the alcohol.
“Here. This is good.” He pulled her behind a large headstone close to the church and they stood there, laughing and loudly telling the others to be quiet.
She shivered and he pulled her closer, rubbing up and down her arms. From around the graveyard, they heard the others laughing and Jenkins called out.
“Hey! Who’s the seeker? I think we forget something, y’all!”
“Oh shit,” Travis shouted back and laughter rang out.
“Come on, let’s start over,” Davis yelled and everyone agreed.
“Be careful, okay?” Tyler said, reaching for Farrah’s hand again. “I don’t know how you girls walk around with those shoes on normal ground, let alone on grass.”
“Well, this was obviously not what I imagined was going to happen tonight or I’d have worn my kicks. Kicks… kicks… that’s funny.”
“You’re stoned,” Tyler laughed and she gripped his arm as her heel got stuck and they stopped to release it, laughing hysterically, before walking back to the stone courtyard.
“Seriously, you guys,” Zara was saying, fear in her voice as they walked up. “Have you seen Zach?” She glanced out into the dark backyard, worry crossing her face, as she  wrung her hands. “We didn’t see him out there and…”
“Z, I’m sure he went inside. Maybe to get a drink or something,” Jenkins said with a smile.
“I would have seen him. What if he’s hurt? What if he tripped or something?”
“We can look for him. Oh shit! We’ll be the seekers!” Arielle yelled and they all cheered, again leaving the courtyard, laughing and clinging to one another.
“That’s not what I meant to happen,” Zara called after them. “You all could get hurt! It’s too dangerous. Just… wait. Come back.”
“We got this Z. Don’t worry!” Davis called and then began calling for Zach, Arielle laughing as she called with him.
“It is possible that he could have fallen or something, Jesus, it’s dark and the ground is precarious,” Tyler said to Farrah, her grip on him tight.
“Precarious. Listen to you, fancy man.” She snorted with laughter, the word sounding funny to her ears as she felt better than she had in weeks.
“Yeah, yeah. Zach! Where you at man? Zaaaaach!” Tyler yelled and Farrah heard the call echoed by the others.
Their flashlights shined ahead of them, their calls echoing back and forth, but still there was no sign of  Zach. Stopping a few times to loosen her heels from the deep grass, they laughed when she fell onto her ass. Pulling her up, Tyler stared at her and leaned in to kiss her, surprising her, before she kissed him back.
“I’ve wanted to do that for a long time,” he admitted breathily and she grinned.
“I’ve wanted you to do it for a long time,” she said, biting her lip.
“Let’s not wait so long next time,” he teased and she laughed, pulling him down for another kiss.
“Wait… let’s… let’s get out of this creepy ass graveyard and back inside. Let’s find that idiot Zach and bring him to Zara, then…” Tyler said, asking her with his eyes if that was okay.
“Hell yes,” she breathed and he laughed. Grabbing her hand, he pulled her forward, calling out for Zach.
Despite the happy feeling inside of her, Farrah shivered as a thought began to niggle at her. Straining to listen, hoping she was wrong, she clutched Tyler’s arm, breathing hard.
“Farrah… do you…” He looked at her and she knew it was not just her imagination.
“Arielle?” she called out, her eyes on Tyler, no answering call returning. “Becca? Desiree?” They waited, her grip on him becoming tighter.
“Why aren’t they calling back? Tyler… what’s…”
“Becca?” Called a voice to their left and Farrah froze, chills appearing over her entire body.
“Who is that?” she whispered to Tyler and he shook his head, breathing hard.
“Who is that?” The voice repeated in a lilting tone and Farrah froze. No chance anyone could have heard her except Tyler.
“What?” Farrah breathed and Tyler pulled her close, her body now shaking from something she could not explain.
“Dude, this isn’t funny. I don’t know who…” he said and then stopped, shaking his head.
“Not funny.” The voice seemed to breathe from all around them and right next to them all at once.
“Tyler…” Farrah closed her eyes, putting her head on Tyler’s chest, feeling weak and almost sick.
“You’re… leave us alone. We were just looking for our friend,” Tyler said in a strong voice, even as Farrah felt him tremble, goosebumps rising on his arm as she held it.
A haunting laugh seemed to drown out every other sound and Farrah began to crumble, feeling she was being forced down to the ground. Tyler followed and she briefly wondered if she was forcing him or vice versa.
The cool wet grass hit her knees and she felt dizzy as she continued down, feeling as though something was forcing her to the ground. Lying flat on her stomach, Tyler squeezed her hand and she whispered to him, her eyes full of tears.
“What is happening?”
“It… is happening.” The voice breathed and she felt it on the back of her neck.
Frozen, unable to turn her head to look to see who was doing this, she closed her eyes tighter, her tears escaping as she did. Tyler squeezed her hand once more as chills covered her entire body, fear coursing through her.
A scream filled her head, a sound that echoed around her, bouncing off the trees. Tears ran down her face as the screams from her friends joined the other voice. Every one of them she heard separately, feeling their pain, when it suddenly fell silent, and the world went dark.

The Truth Comes Out
Tumblr media
Summary: The reader’s quiet night at home is interrupted when Dylan shows up looking bruised and bloody.
Pairing: Dylan x Reader
Word Count: 2,307
~
“Thank god I live alone.” You grumble to yourself, thankful no one’s around to witness your behavior. You’re lazily sitting on your kitchen counter in a ridiculous onesie stuffing your face.
You twist open an Oreo, put a scoop of chocolate ice cream then add whipped cream and chocolate syrup. While singing along to the radio, you smoosh the Oreo back together and shove it into your mouth.
You’re really baffled as to why you’re not married yet. Your boyfriend would be crazy to not lock down all of this sexiness. Realizing it’s almost time for a new episode of Scandal, you make your way towards the couch.
You freeze when you hear someone fumbling with the lock on your front door. This is just fucking perfect. A creep is breaking into your apartment and on top of it, you’re gonna die wearing a onesie.
You run back into the kitchen, grab a large knife then move towards the door. This is such a bad idea. Most people would call 911 right about now but not you. You decide to check it out for yourself.
The sound is now suspiciously gone, making you feel annoyed at this whole ordeal. You stupidly swing open the door and you’re shocked by what you see.
“Holy shit! What happened?!” Your best friend is barely standing looking bruised and bloody in front of you.
“Ice.” Dylan groans ignoring your question as he stumbles into your apartment.
“Ok. Go sit down.”
“What’s with the knife?”
“It sounded like someone was breaking in!” You huff stalking into the kitchen.
“I tried unlocking it with my key but no luck.” He mumbles falling on to your couch.
“Here.” You hand him an ice pack and place a cold glass of water in front of him.
“Can’t I have a beer?” He whines glaring at the glass of water.
“No.”
“Stupid.” He mutters under his breath.
“Damn, Dyl.” You sigh studying his split lip.
“I look sexy, huh.” He jokes before dragging his hand down his face.
“You must have a concussion.” You tease making him chuckle.
“Well?”
“I don’t wanna talk about it, Y/N.” He replies stubbornly.
“Dylan O’Brien! Don’t make me kick your ass. We both know I could win right now.” You scowl at the stubborn man.
“But Y/N…”
“Dylan.”
“I’ll explain but can I just rest first?” He begs giving you his best puppy dog eyes.
“How did you get here?”
“Tyler. He wanted to come up but I told him to go home.” You nod your head, wondering what the hell is going on.
“Ughhh.” Dylan moans as he tries to take off his jacket.
“You look like shit.” You frown staring at the fresh blood on his face, knuckles and clothes.
“You should’ve seen the other guy.” He boasts before coughing and clutching his stomach.
“Maybe we should get you to the hospital, buddy. Looks like you bruised some ribs. They could be broken.” You add wearily.
“Don’t be so dramatic, Y/N. I’m fine. Plus you’re a nurse so there’s no point.”
“I’m sure you need X-rays or something. Maybe I should call Tyler.” You mumble nervously, you’re not strong enough to lug the dumb ass there yourself.
“If I’m not better by tomorrow then I’ll go, ok?”
You’re about to push the issue but get distracted by your Justin Timberlake ringtone. You glance at your phone and see your boyfriend’s name flashing.
“It’s Mike. He’s home sick. I better get this.”
“No! Don’t answer it!” Dylan shouts sending him into a coughing fit.
“What the hell was that?” You demand feeling completely out of the loop.
“Do you trust me?” Your best friend asks already knowing the answer.
“Obviously. Why?” He’s about to reply but grumbles when your phone starts ringing again.
“Don’t pick it up, Y/N. Please.” Dylan pleads, the seriousness in his voice is freaking you out.
“Why can’t I talk to my fucking boyfriend?!” You exclaim jumping up off of the couch in a panic.
“Calm down, Winnie.” He chuckles eyeing your Winnie the Pooh onesie.
Tumblr media
Shit. You forgot you had it on.
“You better spill, O’Brien!” You growl, pretending you’re not dressed as a Disney character.
“Mike’s the other guy.” Dylan reveals quietly refusing to make eye contact with you.
“What do you mean?”
“He’s the one I fought with.”
“What?! Why?”
“Because he’s a piece of shit. I already knew but it was confirmed tonight.” Dylan snarls tightening his fists.
“Mike’s at home with a bad chest cold.”
“No. He was at Marty’s Bar tonight. I don’t think you’ve ever been there. It’s a few towns over.”
“But…”
“Ask Tyler! He’s the one who broke up the fight. He actually clocked Mike really good in the process.” Dylan says with a crooked smile.
This can’t be happening. Is your boyfriend secretly a douchebag? If this came from anyone else, you’d tell them to fuck off. But it’s Dylan, he never lies to you. Ever. You trust him completely.
“What happened?” You sigh, feeling nauseous.
“He…well…I…” Dylan stumbles on.
“Anytime, O’Brien.”
“Mike was making out with a redhead. Some skank. No clue who she was but he was all over her.” He replies, concern etched all over his face.
“What the hell.” You whisper, tears now filling your eyes.
“Please don’t cry, Y/N. He’s not fucking worth it.“ Dylan stands up to comfort you but you’re not having it.
“Dyl! Don’t move, you’ll hurt yourself more. I’m fine.” You scold making him nod in response.
“Hold on.” You mutter, trying to catch your breath as you leave the room.
Your friend watches you try to hold it together and it breaks his heart. You of all people do not deserve this. Mike fooled everyone, making them think that he’s a great guy. But Dylan always knew he was a waste of life.
“Can you eat?” You ask walking back into the living room.
“Yeah. I think so.” Dylan shrugs looking confused.
“Take these.” You direct placing two pain pills in front of him.
“What’s this?”
“Tramadol. For the pain. I’m making you some toast. You should eat with those.”
“Y/N. Hold on. Come sit down so we can talk about this.” Dylan sighs knowing you’re in denial.
“There’s nothing to talk about. What do you want on your toast? Butter or jam?”
“Toast?” Dylan whines looking pathetic. “Don’t you have anything better?”
“You were just punched in the stomach, dude. More than once. Eat something bland first. Unless you want to take the chance of getting sick?” You raise an eyebrow. “I bet throwing up with bruised ribs is fucking fun.”
“Ok. Ok. I’ll eat the god damn toast. Butter, please.” He groans letting out a dramatic sigh.
“Good boy.” You pat his head, snickering at the annoyed look on his face.
“I thought having a hot nurse would be a lot different. This isn’t enjoyable at all.” Dylan glares making you roll your eyes.
“Sorry to disappoint, kiddo.” You chuckle pulling your hood on.
“And the outfit is all wrong. You’re supposed to be in a sexy nurse outfit, instead you look like friggin Winnie the Pooh.” He huffs gesturing to your onesie.
“Silly me. Next time I’ll be more prepared.” You respond sarcastically making him smile.
“That’s all I ask, Y/N. Put in some effort.”
“I would take the onesie off but I’m not wearing anything underneath.” You shrug innocently before strolling into the kitchen.
“Tease!” Dylan shouts from the other room making you giggle as you butter the toast.
Thankfully Dylan eats without complaining, he just sticks to a puss on his face. “How are you feeling?”
“A little better. The pills are kicking in.” He replies looking relieved.
“I’ll call Tyler soon.”
“For what?”
“To pick me up.”
“It’s almost 1am. Just stay here. If you won’t go to the hospital then at least let me take care of you.”
“Whatever you say, nurse L/N. You’re the boss.” Dylan wiggles his eyebrows.
“You need to change. You’re too bloody. I have some clothes you can put on.”
“Let me guess…Mike’s.” Dylan responds looking aggravated.
“Yup. Can you handle taking a shower? Now that the pain meds are working?”
“I can handle it.” He scoffs with a frown.
“Right.” You chuckle.
“Aren’t nurses supposed to help with that? You don’t want me to slip and fall do you?” Your best friend smirks with a gleam in his eye.
“You’re shameless.” You shake your head.
“I’ll help you…but you stay in your boxers.”
“Ok. But you need to be in your underwear too. Only fair.”
“Dyl…”
“Do you want me to feel self conscious?!” He answers dramatically.
“This coming from the guy who streaked at the pep rally in high school.” You can’t help but laugh at the memory.
“It was one of the best moments of your life, sweetheart.” Dylan cracks up, it quickly turns into a moan because of the pain.
“Take it easy, O’Brien. Don’t strain yourself.” You sigh grabbing his arm to help him stand up.
“Y/N! I can walk on my own. I’m not eighty.” He mumbles looking grumpy.
“Ok.” You cross your arms over your chest and watch him try to be a tough guy.
“Can I have real food now? I ate the toast.” He mutters moving slowly.
“After you get cleaned up, O’Brien. I have…” You get cut off by a loud pounding on your front door.
“Oh jeez.” You groan knowing it’s your boyfriend.
“Ignore him.”
“He has a key.” You snap annoyed with this whole night.
“Y/N?” Mike calls out, you hear his heavy work boots getting closer.
“Behave yourself.” You whisper to Dylan.
“Seriously?” He scoffs ignoring your glare.
“Y/N. Hey.” Mike walks into the room but stops short when he sees Dylan
“Leave Mike. We’re done.” You say coldly making him flinch.
“Baby, come on. Whatever this moron told you…it’s a lie.”
“Really. So you weren’t at a bar tonight? Making out with another girl?”
“Of course not! I was walking to the store to get cough medicine. This drunk jackass ran into me and he started throwing punches.”
“You son of a bitch.” Dylan snarls staring your boyfriend down.
“Look what he did to my face! My nose is broken. And he fucking killed my wrist. I won’t be surprised if it’s broken too. He’s a fucking animal.” Mike spits moving closer to Dylan.
“Jesus, Mike. You couldn’t have come up with a better lie than that? That doesn’t make sense. Dylan wouldn’t start a fight for no reason.” You huff, feeling anxious.
“Oh, he has a fucking reason. The bastard has been jealous of me since day one. He’s in love with you and hates that you’re with me instead of him.” Mike growls making both you and Dylan’s eyes widen.
“Oh Mike…” Dylan starts chuckling with a cocky as fuck smile.
“I guess this isn’t you then right?” He looks through his iPhone and then holds it out.
Your mouth drops when you see Mike and some slut making out. The bastard is wearing the same exact clothes he has on now.
“That could be anyone.” He lies looking guilty.
Dylan scrolls through, showing another picture where it’s crystal clear that it’s your boyfriend.
“Out.” You spit shoving Mike so hard he stumbles back.
“But baby…”
“I’m not your baby. Get the fuck out of my apartment and stay the fuck out of my life. I mean it!” You shout before slamming the door in his face.
You’re now frozen in place, a shit ton of emotions hitting you all at once. Without warning, tears start rolling down your face and you start sobbing loudly.
“Hey. Hey.” Your friend says softly wrapping his arms around you.
“You’re gonna hurt yourself.” You sniffle trying to stop him.
“I’m ok.” He chuckles kissing your forehead.
“I really didn’t want to show you those pictures. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to.” Dylan sighs wiping away a tear falling down your cheek.
“It’s ok.” You mutter, grabbing his hand leading him down the hall.
“What are you doing?”
“You still need to get cleaned up, dear. It’s late. We’re both tired. So let’s get it done so we can sleep, ok?”
Dylan reluctantly agrees, not wanting to make things any harder for you. He holds in a groan when you hand him Mike’s t-shirt and sweatpants. That bastard, he’s gonna regret hurting you. Dylan will make sure of it.
“Do I have to sleep on the couch?” He asks giving you a sad face.
“No.” You chuckle. “Get into bed. I’ll be right back.”
Dylan gives you a wink and slowly moves under the covers. It’s obvious he’s pretending the pain is gone. Silly fucker.
“Here. Take this.” You hand him another Tramadol and a bag of his favorite chips.
“You’re trying to drug me aren’t you. So you can seduce me.” Dylan raises an eyebrow.
“Damn it. You found out my plan.” You giggle climbing in next to him.
“I knew it.” He mumbles before throwing chips into his mouth.
Dylan knows you have on a brave face, but he can always see right through it. He hates this.
“Come here.” He says softly holding his arm out so you can crawl underneath.
“You don’t need me leaning on your ribs. Just get some sleep.” You answer quietly shutting the light off.
“Y/N L/N! Get over here now.” Dylan commands, you roll your eyes but decide to listen anyway.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah. I’m feeling better now.” He pulls you closer, ignoring the pain and the pressure he feels on his ribs.
“The asshole was right ya know.” Dylan breathes out, his heart now beating faster in your ear.
“Huh?”
“Mike…what he said…I am in love with you. Everything else was bullshit but that part is the truth.”

One Sided Love..(JoshxReader)
This was requested by —- Reader and Josh have a baby together on a one night stand. Reader fell in love in such a short amount of time but Josh has different and a secret that changes everything and I’m not saying that Josh would ever do this in real life. WARNING MAJOR PLOT TWIST AT THE END! I’m evil. I’m gonna leave you hanging. ;) But this is split into two. Reader’s Point of View “Yea, you should have been there. I was playing basket ball with Josh and tried passing him the ball but he wasn’t paying attention and nailed him straight in the face.” Tyler laughed. I chuckled and looked around. Tyler and I have been friends for awhile but I haven’t actually meet Josh yet.  I have heard about him a lot but never had time to meet him. Tyler just got back from tour and he was telling me about all the memories that happened during tour.  I missed Tyler a lot but he had bigger things that he had going on in his life and I had to be okay without actually being okay with it. “The best part was that he blacked out for like two minutes. He’s fine but it was funny.” Tyler said. “Anyways, what going on in my girl best friends life? Anything new? Boyfriend? Best Friends? Have you replaced me?” He looked at me pretending to be hurt and put his hand over his heart and his other hand was motioning a single tear.  I laugh and push him lightly. “Oh never.” I say dramatically. “How could I ever replace you, dear old friend..” You laugh. “Hey, I’m not that old. Hey, I have an idea.” He smiled. “Oh god, this isn’t going to end well. He has an idea. Lord have mercy.” I put my hands up in a praying way. “You’re just a meanie. But, I think you should meet Josh. How long have I known you and you have never meet my rock star bandmate. Plus, I think you two would get along fairly well.” He winked. “Uggh, Why are you like this and that sounds fun….The meeting him part not the ummm, anyways how are you and Jenna?” I asked trying to change the subject. “Were fine but I think we should get back before its pitch black outside.” He turns around and starts walking back the way we came from . “So, aliens.” “Dude, I so believe that they are real. Like how could they not be. I honestly, don’t understand people that don’t believe. How could there not be something that is living besides us in this universe. I mean were here right so how could something else not be here?” I love topics like these but this wasn’t up for debate for me. Aliens are real and I would bet good money they don’t have football heads with bug eyes. “You took the words out of my mouth.” Tyler chuckled. “But I understand. But, what’s up with that probing stuff. Like, where did that come from?” We walk up to the house and I just laugh. I open the door only to be greeted by an amazing smell. I turn to my right and see Mama Joseph holding a big pot of Chicken Soup. My absolute favorite. “Whoa, Mamma J. You need help?” “No, thank you dear.” She smiled. “Come on lets go to my room. Jenna’s getting your room ready.” Tyler pulled my arm and dragged me down the hallway into his room. This was always my second home since I met Tyler. I come over all the time. I went into the room and looked around. Just how it was left last time I was here. Tyler was on tour for  months and I missed coming around but I always came to Jay’s basketball games. Him and I were always close but not as close as Tyler and I. “Awwe, Y/n! You’re here. Its been awhile.” Jenna came into the room and hugged me. It was more like a death trap rather than a hug but it was cozy. Kinda, not really. I hugged her back and let go after awhile. “Y/n, you must be tired. Lets get you to bed.” ———–
“LETS GO ON AN ADVANTURE, Y/n!” “Uggh, Its too early. What time is it?” I say as I pull the bed covers over my head to try to block the sun from my face. “Um, Let me check. 10:56, so almost 11. GET UP YOU LAZY ASS.” He yelled. “Ugh, come on. Where are we going?” Yes, it was late. No, this isn’t unusually. I got up and walked to the my backpack and grabbed it. “Just to the park, then ice cream. With Jenna, You and I…..and Josh.” Tyler whispered the last part but I still heard it.  I looked back at him with wide eyes.
“You didn’t.” I whisper with wide eyes and my jaw dropped. “Oh, but I did.” Tyler smirked. “and I’m not sorry.” “Why you gotta do this to me, Tyler? And, such early notice too.” I groaned and got up trying to make myself look somewhat presentable. I choose a Fall Out Boy shirt and a red flannel. Then, black skinny jeans and black vans. Eh, I look okay. Just need to slightly curl my hair. After everything was done me and Tyler walked to the park by his house. “No, but Giraffes are the most alien like creature. They have black tongues BLACK TONGUES! And, why are they so tall like why. Yea, They need to reach food on trees but like black tongues.” I chuckle at my choice of words. Tyler laughs but agrees. We continue to walk when I suddenly bump into to someone. “Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. I wasn’t looking to where I was going and —” I look up to the person and see that it’s the guy in all the magazines beside Tyler. “Oh Josh, Duh.” “Okay, not the best start but Y/n this is Josh and Josh this is Y/n.” Tyler laughed at my awkwardness and I just glared at him. I looked at Josh again and might I say he is a mighty fine fellow. And, his eyes are just so whoa. They were so consuming. I couldn’t look away he was just so beautiful. His hair was a purple color that fit him rather well. He smiled and it was a really good smile. He had a snapback on and a Panic! At the Disco, muscle shirt with black ripped jeans and burgundy vans.  He looked good. I liked that shirt on him but I’d like it better o–. “You done staring Y/n? Jenna’s gonna be here right now.” Tyler laughed but Josh just smirked and let me tell you that was really freaken attractive. “Oh look she’s here.” Tyler pointed at Jenna and ran towards her. “So, Y/n you know that were gonna be the loaners while they go do cute couple stuff. Major third and fourth wheel.” Josh informed me. “I think i can handle it. Just a reminded that I’ll be forever alone.” I joked. Well kinda. “Oh, come on. A beautiful girl like you would have any guy on there knees.” He smiled. He then got closer and closer until he was right next to me. He was so close to me that I could feel his breaths on my skin. He then leaned closer and turned his head right next to my ear. “Kinda like me.” He whispers. He then starts walking towards Tyler and Jenna like nothing. Welp, that just happed. Act calm Y/n. A really hot guy just said I was beautiful. Wow. *TIME SKIP*
A couple weeks after Josh and I met we started hanging out a lot more but there was also a lot of playful behavior. Like, one minute he would flirt with me then the next he would ask if I wanted food. First off, was that even a question. Second, It was really freaken confusing. Right now, Tyler, Josh, Jenna and I were watching Suicide for the hundredth time.  But, things got a little more interesting and unexpected. Josh and I were up and awake but Tyler and Jenna feel asleep in each other’s  arms. Josh suddenly grabbed my hand and laced it with his. He wrapped his arm around me and started kissing me. Okay, this wasn’t the first time this had happened but I still got butterflies each time. I have to admit something. I fell for Josh in such a small of time. I realize that. But, just because I know that doesn’t mean that I am willing to accept it. I don’t want to be in love but love isn’t a choice. But, it was hard not to fall in love with him. Josh was a great guy. He was like a guy in some school girls dreams. Ya, know that guy with dreamy eyes and a perfect personality yep that was Josh. But, even through the flirting I think he doesn’t feel the same way. It was just an act nothing more. “Lets take this to the room…” *SORRY I DON’T WRITE SMUT* Use your imagination.….yea do that. The sunlight came pouring into the room signaling that it was time to wake up. Oh boy, here comes reality. I wake up with a headache and turn around without opening my eyes. I’m one of those people that  have to lay down to wake up I don’t know its weird. I snuggle my head closer to the sheets when I hear a soft snore. Memories of last night came flooding in. I smile at the thought and turn around to face Josh. He was sleeping but that came to an end as he began to stir awake. His eyes fluttered open reveling the brown eyes that were once hidden. His hair was a curly mess but it suited him. He looked at me and smiled which I returned back. “Hi.” I chuckled. “Hi.” He smiled. “Well, I guess its time to get up. I’ll make breakfast.” He said as he turned back around. He got up and got dressed and I did the same. He walked out of the room but not before mumbling something. “What did I do?” He sighed sounding sad but continued walking. “What was that?” I call after him not understanding the words that were being spoken. “Oh, uh nothing.” He smiled. But, I could tell it was not a genuine smile.  I didn’t think much of it and started to walk towards my phone. I had 4 texts from Tyler and 1 from Jenna. I clicked Tyler and the first message was….., T: So, Like can you keep it down please? T: This is really weird. T: Jenna and I are just gonna ya know go. T: Wait, this is my house. I laughed and then I clicked Jenna’s name. J: We left. See you in the morning. I guess. Okay, then. I set my phone down and walked into the kitchen where Josh was. —————-
I was sick, once again. I personally hate being sick. I don’t know why you would like it but hey, I don’t judge. Anyways, Jenna knew I was sick an insisted on helping even though I denied her tons of time. I think I’m fine, I’ll just throw up and go on with my day. I think its nothing but a stomach bug nothing more. (We all know where this is going. Typical. Haha)
“I think we should go to the store and get ya know, a test.” Jenna smiled nervously and looked over her shoulder. My eyes go wide as she said those words. “You really think that.. I-I’m p-” I cut myself off with the sudden realization that comes to mind.
—————– Okay, I’m going to make a part two of this and I’m really sorry but I just want to get something up and so I decided to just make a really long part two. So, I have been working on this other writing and wanted to give you a little peek of what’s to come. Breathing was getting harder and harder as time passes by for Tyler. He knew he had to tell Josh. He knew that it was going to break him. He knew that he didn’t have long. But, one thing he didn’t know, was how Josh was going to act. Tyler was scared, fiddling with his thumbs while looking at the rain that was pouring outside, setting the scene. As if the weather was planned for this exact moment. He was going to tell Josh, it was only a matter of time. Josh was like a metaphoric angel to Tyler. Josh was the only thing that Tyler truly loved and Josh returned that back to Tyler. They loved each other and that’s all that mattered. Not all people would agree with them being together but they kept quite because even they could tell how in love they were. For awhile it was amazing, some may say it was too good to be true, and it was. Sadly, it was. For what once was peaceful and loving would soon be shattered by the thing that had no cure. Just because it had no cure does not mean that there was no hope. Even Tyler himself had hope, him being the one the who was most effected. br>   Yes it’s a Joshler writing.   That was just a little taste.

the costuming in twisters’ act 2 makes me think that kate & tyler r gonna be the kind of couple who go whole streaks of accidentally color-coordinating. just entire weeks where if kate walks out in an olive tank you can bet tyler’s gonna be wearing green. no one they know has the decency to clue them in on it either
