The fact that Monk Gyatso's only properly voiced line when you fight him in Avatar Generations is "Hatred hurts us all", which he repeats over and over whenever he gets hit as he is slowly absolutely demolished by a 12 year old and a character the game can only describe as "youth" is SO FUNNY

Like, yes, violence is not always the answer nor should it be the default but like. Didn't this dude canonically demolish a whole room of firebenders in what appears to have been breathbending or something???? Like legit I thought he was very sweet in the show, even if he definitely fell into the Katara school of Aang parenting, where he unfortunately coddled him too much... But the way this battle goes implies he's like also fully responsible for Aang being selectively deaf and how his only reaction to any conflict ever is to preach air nomad philosophy at people

Anyway aside from that bOY does this game suck lmao, like fr the only actually interesting parts are the Zuko povs since they expand on his actions during a time in the show where we mostly just saw him confronting Zhao and the Gaang, but even that is like. Not a lot, oof

Don't really even know why I'm playing it ig it's a sort of morbid curiosity to see if it ever gets interesting at some point but like,,, so far it's just the most basic mobage RPG that is literally just retelling the story of the show without you even having like? Any sort of agency or something istg this could've been so cool if they let us have a Gaang member oc as the player character going through the story with them but this is obviously just a very low effort cash grab soooo

i wont drag this out too long i prommy but i just wanna get some of my ymkr thoughts out

the one thing im most sad about ymkr eos'ing is, karma and alma genuinely were one of the better (i wont say one of the best since "best" in context to a very personal disorder that changes person to person is very very subjective) DID reps, esp in mobage

karma isnt this murderous evil dude and he doesnt attack people at random or for fun or anything, hes cold sure but its very clear in story he holds resentment towards the world and himself for being the "evil" that he feels alma cant bare to hold himself and talks a lot about just wanting to disappear once his job is over which i think is smth that resonates with quite a few alters that hold onto the trauma of the system and protect the host both in one

alma isnt scared or afraid of karma either, both because of his own personality and emma's own word that karma isnt a bad guy

i also really liked that switch triggers didnt feel too janky, though it did lead to me also getting jumpscared With emma when karma did show up but i much prefer that over a 10 second thing where someone yells "HES MORBING!!!" or overemphasis on the switch, sometimes switches do feel overdramatic but a lot of the times it just kinda happens

and to reiterate on my point from "karma isnt murderous", while he does attack people in some of the stories, a lot of it is justified in that alma is about to get seriously injured and hes often trying to de-escalate with no results. this is Wildly Different from media where say the alter is killing people to relieve stress (COUGH.) or just attacks people for being mildly annoying (COUGH .) protective alters, surprisingly, tend to be much more harsher or strict on perceived threats than random people! thats their whole job!

i know from experience some people tend to be iffy on the whole two alter only system format but i really truly dont think the alter count really matters, CPTSD does tend to cause more issues with your identity in context to dissassociation but if someone only developed one extra person in their noggin despite everything then more power to them, im Still splitting even in my mid 20's because of horrific depressive episodes alongside me recovering from some other trauma i experienced

this doesnt necessarily make the 2 alter thing Unrealistic, but its a testament to how strong they are at heart and moreover how strong their traumaholder is for having kept themselves together and helping the system move together as only two. obviously some people will also only have some issue with the same trauma while others will develop really bad issues (i.e. alma developing a system from his families death while hollow seemingly only developed OCD tendencies as a trauma response)

i think the difference of circumstance kinda matters here because almas case was a genuine arson due to slander while hollows case was a genuine accident that he holds guilt over unknowingly feeling like if he'd just taken the machines apart the fire wouldnt have happened (speculation! i dont know if he ever actually came to this conclusion yet but ... well :,) )

ANYWAY . going forward due to my lack of knowledge on the main story i hesitate to say i'll continue to write alma and karma's/hollow's story in plot to ymkr, but i cant really bare to leave them behind either, so ill probably just keep writing them with my oc/sona (oc for hollow, sona for alma/karma) and continue developing them within what i can !!! i'll love them forever and no service end will ever change that for me \o/

again, i'll be trying to archive their things, but i will have to do so cautiously because my phone storage isnt infinite...

i don't know, i think i just need some time T_T;; this isnt the only thing i'm kinda grieving the loss of in the span of a few weeks, though as silly as it is considering the game isnt living breathing, because its so personal to me im actually feeling a bit pained about it + the back to back losses is kinda taking a toll on me so i'll just be logging in and doing what i can... ill start archiving in october since i have quite a bit of time to grind and get the last meister pieces to fully max out the recent hollow

i love them so much i think they’re all so interesting and i loveeeed the backstory chapters. but if i had to pick it’s a tie between phinks and pakunoda. phinks because i really like his nen ability, personality, and his relationship with feitan/rest of the troupe. paku also because of her loyalty to the troupe and because she seems so caring 🙏🏼 also she was so cute in the pt flashback chapters omg her and chrollo were so sweet. nobunaga is also an honorable mention i LOVE him so much

Figured I’d also join in with a more.. bigger mun intro for new followers and also because since apping with Lucifer I have other blogs here too now! So hello, my name is Laur. I am 25, go by they/them pronouns and I mostly clown around on my twitter which is here ( always welcome to follow! ).  I also now write Byleth and Idia on here but.. you know, also hoping to app my OC later too! I do also write indie and have another muse at another group also. I am a graduate of creative writing and besides writing... I like to play games and video edit! Besides that I am fairly shy and I usually just love tweeting to the void. I love making friends otherwise! I spend a lot of my time trying my best to talk to people and call, but I end up falling asleep a lot, even on calls... it happens. It’s cold.

I mean, it makes sense given that it’s January, but it’s still annoying.

Even in a tiny studio apartment that you think would be easy to heat, the cold seeps through the walls and chills the occupants.

The kotatsu is fine well into the evening, but once it’s time to unfurl the futons…

That’s how this whole predicament started.

Sheepish glances when one thought the other wasn’t looking, awkward shifting under the covers, night by night the futons creeping closer and closer together.

Yamamoto Keiko rolls over one night and looks at Souda Manabu. He’s so close that she could brush a stray hair out of his eyes if she reached out.

His eyes flick up from the phone in his hand.

“What’re you staring at? You’re being weird.”

“I wasn’t staring.”

“Buuuuullshit. What, can’t stop thinking about how cool your boyfriend is? Hehe!”

Keiko sighs and rolls onto her back. He was acting childish, but it still made her face heat up.

“I was just thinking about how cold it is.”

“Man, you can’t think about something more interesting?” Souda’s question is punctuated by a victory jingle ringing from his phone. “Woo-hoo, one-shot kill! Hehehehe, I’ve still got it!”

“STILL got it?” Keiko rolls onto her side to face him again. “You make it sound like you haven’t been able to play a lot, Manabu.”  

Souda’s eyebrows furrow as his lips draw thin. “I haven’t! It’s been hard as hell keeping up since I’ve got this job, you know.” He pauses to sniff indignantly. “Plus, you know… I have a girlfriend to take care of now.”

“Oh, poor thing.”

Souda’s tongue hangs out as he laughs impishly. “Hey, my rank’s slipped a lot because of you! So?” His expression grows serious. “How are you going to make it up to me?”

Keiko’s eyes snap open. “Huh?”

Souda keeps on staring, until eventually his frown twitches and he bursts into more obnoxious laughter.

“Man, look at how red your face got! Tch, I was thinking you owed me a gacha pull or two… the hell’s on your mind? Per-vert!”

“I am not! Honestly!” Keiko wraps herself up in her blanket and rolls over so she doesn’t have to see his grin.

“Aw, come on, Cake. Your face is so red that you’re probably hotter than the kotatsu!”

Keiko’s ears perk when she hears the ‘AFK’ notification come from his phone.

….

She can feel him staring at her back…

Finally, she hears the covers shift.

“You and I both know how damn cold it is in here. …Come on. Heat us both up, why don’tcha?”

Keiko peeks back over her shoulder. A part of her is tempted to just say ‘nope’ and tease him more for his bad behavior, but…

He actually minimized his game.

“… You aren’t afraid I’ll do something perverted to you?”

“The hell do you think you’re talking to? I could totally take you if you tried anything!”

That confident smile of his is really cute… and he actually bothered to minimize his game…

Still trying to hide her red cheeks, Keiko slips out from under her blanket and darts under the covers on Souda’s futon.

It’s much warmer under there, though Keiko jolts when she remembers that they’re in their sleepwear. Souda usually only wears a game t-shirt and underwear to bed, and she’s reminded very much of that fact when their bare legs touch.

Keiko thinks she catches a glimpse of his blush before he yanks her towards him and turns her around, resting his chin on her head as he takes the role of ‘big spoon’.  

“Come on, Cake… we’re boyfriend and girlfriend, right? This is how we’re supposed to do things… right?”

Keiko sighs as she shifts so her back is against Souda’s torso. She can practically feel his heartbeat drumming against her, and it makes her smile as she closes her eyes.

But she frowns when she feels Manabu move his arm and the telltale ‘beep beep’ of his game restarting.

“Manabu…”

“What? It’s multitasking, babe!”

An hour passes in comfort. Even Souda shuts off his game a little quicker than usual. With Keiko asleep, he quietly leans down and kisses the top of her head. The fragrance of her hair is light and unobtrusive. Souda thinks that something like peach or strawberry would suit her better, but her job’s pretty strict about perfumes and scents.

“Mm…”

Souda freezes when Keiko stirs in her sleep. Not that he was embarrassed or anything, but it’d be a pain if she woke up all of a sudden!

But she just scooches back, shifting comfortably against her boyfriend for warmth.

Shifting… shifting…

…

That rubbing feels good…

She’s warm, too...

Souda’s eyes widen when he feels himself stirring—oh, hell no! No way, God should have more control than this--!

But it’s too late, his dick is standing practically straight up. Souda can hear his own pulse throbbing in his ear drums, mimicked by that idiot thing between his legs that seems to think that NOW is a good time to demand attention.  

He hasn’t been this hard in a long time. He password protected his naughtier mobage games ever since he started dating Keiko, but he still played them when she wasn’t home. It isn’t like he’s been neglecting it or anything, so why is it so damn stiff?!

Souda shifts, trying to move it away from Keiko. He’d be in a hell of a lot of trouble if she woke up being poked in the ass by his stiffy.

Their first time is going to be hella romantic. He’ll lay her down on his futon with her hair streaming out behind her and make love to her until she’s trembling and crying his name like, “Ma—na-buuuu---!!”

Hehe…

…Okay, imagining that REALLY isn’t helping right now.

He closes his eyes and tries to ignore it, but…

Keiko stirs in her sleep again, drawn back against his warmth with a satisfied sigh.

D-Damnit, she feels so soft…

Souda reaches down with trembling fingers and tries to stash his erection away, but it just pops back up.

He shoves it down again.

“G-Ghh…”

He can’t stop it.

Shaking his head, Souda quickly rolls over and gets out of the futon, doing his best not to disturb Keiko sleeping next to him.

“Mm… Mana-chan…?”

“Gwuh?!”

She sounds so cute and sleepy, he can’t even be mad at that stupid nickname! But she can’t see him like this--!

Souda quickly pulls the front of his shirt down over his underwear and yells a little too loudly: “G-Gotta pee!” before stumbling into the bathroom.

He hears Keiko sigh and roll over as he shuts the door behind him.

Yeah, yeah that’s all… he just had to get up and go to the bathroom, that’s all.

But as Souda shoves his underwear down, his penis springs up to full attention, revealing his lie.

Damn, it’s really throbbing!

With a muttered curse, Souda gently pokes the pink head protruding from his foreskin.

“Annoying…”

With a grimace he wraps his hand around the shaft, beginning to tug at himself. He feels harder than the barrel of a gun, and that hardness pulses when it finally receives attention.

He closes his eyes and bites his lip to hold back the moan threatening to escape his throat.

Even with fabric separating them, Souda could feel the plushness of Keiko’s body when she pushed herself back against him.

She smiles a little to herself, allowing her mind to wander.

Finally, she takes a deep breath. “Manabu?”

But he’s breathing deeply, and a contented, sleepy mumble is the only answer she gets.

I hate how so many mobage push a love interest on the player, esp since said love interest is almost always a girl. Like what even is the point of the mc being a blank slate if they're treated as male 99% of the time? I think FEH is the only mobage I've played where the implied love interest is male (lbr, Alfonse has the most chemistry with the mc out of all the OCs)

I felt like they were trying to push benchguy Alfonse at. But yeah, it’s the only one where they dont define your sex or force a specific love interest down your throat. Reminds me of the damn annoying plot of the tales of series mobage game, which i quit mainly due to plot

It’s so weird though; its the one game mode where players are most likely to not want a random romance -much less with a new character- and instead want to focus on waifus/husbandus. 

The summer event for FGO was the most absurd example of this: heres an event all about those damn swimsuit clad waifus. Heres a cutscene that you grab according to your waifu pick..oh sorry, the cutscene will be spent having Mash fucking join the player and the chosen waifu and then cut into any conversation and then make it about her. It really bothered me and I didnt even care for the waifus

Her inhumane luck at these games is rather extraordinary, so it won’t be easy to forget!

Yukiko keeps up with trends via social media, so if you’ve trended there, she knows your OC! School wise, she preferred to sit by herself and use her phone, and she’s quite the meanie to people she doesn’t like so you might not like her very much, but only online. She’s very much more of a keyboard warrior, so if you used social media a lot, you definitely know about her bad side, but otherwise, she seems like a quiet and mobile game loving girl!
