Tell us more about your mortal days...Tell us more about your time with Nicolas. Is not much explained in the books about these times and we would love to know more about Nicolas.... What did you like most about him? what did you hate? (we love Nicolas)

-smiles- First of all I am very happy to know you love Nicki. And allow me to tag here my Nicki @monsieur-nicolas-de-lenfent if he if his mun want to make an input on this. :-) I would love to, since the books are only explained on my point of view and I really would like to know his feelings and emotions during that period of time.

So in regards your questions....

More about my mortal days. There is not much more than hunting and spending time with Nicki and later on in Paris working at the theater and either can be explained in deeply if you tel me exactly what do you want to know. Becasue each moment can be explained with different emotions.

Tell you more about Nicki...what do you want to know about him? - smiles- That I loved his company and even we had deep conversations I loved his cynicism and ways of thinking even if I was not agree. I loved his dedication with music and when we composed his new songs and I tried to sleep and he kept hitting "that" note that was not perfect and there he was again over and over until it was all perfect. Sometimes I protested "Nickiiiiiiiiiii could you stop you can find that note in the morning lets just sleep now" -laughs- I pretended I hated it but actually I loved it and still makes me smile just thinking about it.

What else do you want to know about him? again this questions might have thousand answers depending on what you are really looking for. Remember, ask the right question and you will receive the right answers. Something I ave learned over the years and mentioned in the books.

What I loved most about Nicki... everything. I just can say his eyes or his dedication, its just him. The whole him, the good and the bad. The soul. Him. when one loves someone, that loved is for the whole being not just for that specific thing. I loved Nicki for everything he IS. I loved when he made me smile when I was upset becasue I always had to do thing around the Castle. I loved when we were just drunk happy and we just were unable to laugh becasue I loved to his laugh. His eyes shone, his lips on that beautiful smile. All of his shining with that happiness. I loved these moments to last forever. Also, if we get a little bit private on answers, he is an amazing lover. I have never, ever, in my whole mortal life, experienced anything like with him. I dont know still what he did to me, what he gave me, what he said, what he touched...well...lets not mention that haha....but it was such an orgasmic sensation like never before. I really dont know how to explain it with words. Universe. Big Bang. Inexplicable. And I am sorry, no sorry, for whoever heard us, if you know what I mean. Nicki is a marvelous person inside and out. Yes I know I have said about his darkness and get scared about it but back then didn't not understood. I was a naivee. I thought he was just happy and saw he had so much more deep inside. And I wished I have known all of that and hold his hand and go into this Savage Garden together learning from each other again. Learning from his fears, darkness and all his emotions. Nicki is amazing and should be more respected, understood and loved. He is NOT crazy and I hate people has that etiquette on him. Nicolas the mad man. I hate that. I hate people thinks that. Nicki is a marvel man, he was a tremendous light and soooo much love to give. He is the most deep loving person I have ever met. He is reserved and cynic yes but he has so much love and he is such a good person. I regret so much the fact that I never went to save him, I regret that so very much, I regret I left him with Armand, I see now how things were back then and I see myself inexperienced and terrified. Terrified for Nicki. I was a monster and I never wanted him to suffer in his vampiric life. I wanted him happy. I did not want him to see me a monster and get him scared and leave me. So I had to hide from him and set myself aside and pretend and act cold. and I hated that so much it ripped my soul in pieces. To see the one you love most fade away is something I do not wish to anyone. I gave my mortal life to Nicki when we were at the Village and later on in Paris. The only one by my side. The only one that loved me for who I was, for my mistakes and not be that perfect. For loving me when I needed help with the acts and he helped me to learn the words because was not able to read. He had that patience with me when not even my mother did. So for all of that and more, thats why it was so extremely horrible when slowly I saw him fading away. Thats why I have never said much about it becasue it hurts. Our fears of good and evil now present. Now me as this monster and unable to be with him anymore. I hated Magnus with all my being not for only making me what I never wanted but for breaking into pieces my life, my love and my happiness. Not even a chance to one last night with Nicki, no, he just came and kidnapped me. And I could not bare the thought of Nicki seeing me like this. How much I wanted to hold him, to kiss him one more time. But he could not see me like a monster. I never wanted to hurt him. I never wanted to stick my fangs on his neck and get him. My nature screaming for blood when he was around me that night at the Theater when someone shoot at me and Nicki ran to me and he was around. I screamed to him to get away. When really deep inside I was screaming his name, I was terrified and I needed him, I needed to hold him. I needed to tell him everything is ok. And that horrible night I gave him my blood after all his suffering with the Coven of Satan, I gave him my blood with love and hope we could once again be together. To

continue our conversation forever To travel around the world together. To even complete that fantasy we had to one night play for the King Of France....I gave him my blood on an act of love. And seeing him unable t talk, move or do anything really broke me inside. I didn't know if he hated me more now, I didn't know what was going on inside of him. I could to read his mind. I felt i didn't know what to do. And I thought he hated me now for everything. That last night at the Theater when he said these words to me, I just didn't know and both of us acted with just the emotions we felt at that time. cold, hate, fear, broken love, separation....whatever it was. His eyes were fire, his words venom and i tried to see my Nicki in there and I know now he was there. He was upset and he had his reasons and I do now know, and always knew, I should have never left him there. At that moment, I only saw he hated me and I just could not bare to stay there. Why to stay if he does not loves me anymore? so I left with my mother to travel the world. And let me tell you, There was not a single night I thought about him. I had him always present and I prayed one day everything will be ok. I prayed for his happiness. I prayed that he still could feel love towards me. For all we had and went through before. I prayed that his words to sink together were not real and just words....

So there you have it anon....you made me explain more than I wanted to. With tears in my eyes I wrote this becasue these years will forever stuck with me no matter what and no matter where I am at. But i dont want to end this with a sad note. Just remember what I have said about Nicki. He is marvelous, he is beautiful inside and out. Understand him, do not hate him. Allow him to be him. He is strong, he is just amazing. And no one, none of my other 8 fledglings is like him. And they know, each one of them know what I still feel for Nicki. They understand and respect that and I am so grateful for that. I love each an everyone of them but what me and Nicki had is beyond what I had with any of my fledglings. Remember, I met Nicki when I was still mortal. We shared life together, something non of them, minus my mother Gabrielle, have experienced with me. Not even that time I was on Davids body, even these days were a wreck..different story. So even if I have said that Louis got me more deep than Nicki, perhaps is when I do not allow my "mortal" side of me to get out. So again, yes, What I had with Nicki is something no other had. its deep to the core.

Mun’s note: I posted this prompt, and Lane went and sent me 22 dang stars! I really don’t think they intended for me to in return write up 22 headcanons (or they didn’t expect that I’d actually do it). But here we are! I told myself I’d just do 10. I didn’t think 22 was possible (at least not in a day). But behold!

Yvaine has served as familiar to the reincarnations of the goddess for many life cycles. In Zelda’s studies, she has read of Yvaine, but I think there is a part of her that believed maybe it was just a legend (or exaggeration) or “But who’s to say this legendary familiar will show up this time.” So I imagine Zelda was very shocked/dumbfounded when she first meets Yvaine.

Side note that counts as its own headcanon, I also imagine Yvaine’s arrival was a very grand thing, even though she likely did not intend it to be such? Yvaine just has this demeanor/aura that she radiates, which honestly probably had some of Zelda’s court members stricken with fear at first and probably even had Zelda going “Wait! She’s real?! And she’s….standing…no not standing….TOWERING over me??” Like Yvaine just seems like the person thats presence demands attention when in the room. You just can’t help but to stop and notice her.

When they do finally meet and start to spend time around one another, Zelda enters this really weird internal battle of not knowing what to say to this legendary familiar that she thought may have been myth but also literally wanting to ask a million questions. Her internal monologue is “What do you say to this being that is wisened? Saged? (yes that’s an Iliza Shlesinger joke) She looks like she could step on me and probably has the experience to do so. But I also want to know about this….and this….oh and we can’t forget that….”

I know we’ve discussed this before, but once the contract is made and Zelda finds out? Not good. She’s going to feel so much guilt about it, and it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if she lashes out at Yvaine at first. She’d be very upset with Yvaine because she knew, but she didn’t warn her or try to stop it from happening. Eventually, she will come to terms with it, but she’s going to be very angry/upset with herself for a while so just….expect Zelda to avoid Yve and not talk to her for a while.

When they get into a relationship, Zelda will probably try to keep it hush hush for a while out of fear of what the court will say. Is it appropriate for a princess to fall for her familiar/body guard? Probably not. Plus, I think there’s a part of her that will want it to be just theirs for a while. She doesn’t want the court to know and meddle. She doesn’t want Impa or Link or the generals to find out and form their thoughts or make comments? She doesn’t want the kingdom of Hyrule to start looking to their queen and her new relationship. She just wants to have time to enjoy their time together for a bit without anyone’s input or interference.

But on the flip side of that, once they get into a relationship, Zelda will absolutely spoil Yvaine. She’s a bit reserved with her feelings, but once she falls she falls hard. She’s incredibly loyal. And she knows she’s lived a better life than most just because she happened to be born into a certain family — so anything she can do to make her love’s life easier/better, she will do it no questions asked. Plus, she’ll always view her partner as an equal, so she’ll think they’re worthy of being treated like a king/queen.

This isn’t really a headcanon. It’s more of just something I want but like....Zelda gets injured during battle or something and can’t walk (sprained ankle, too weak, been stabbed, whatever) and Yvaine just has Zelda get on her back so she can carry her back to camp. Yvaine is pretty much a giant, so just imagine how cute it would be seeing an injured Zelda getting a piggyback ride from Yvaine (and probably begrudgingly getting it at that).

When Yve struggles to fall asleep at night, Zelda will do anything to coax her into coming to lay down. Once she finally succeeds, she’ll just lay there and play with Yvaine’s hair for hours, hoping it’ll help her fall asleep because it always helped Zelda when she was growing up.

I think there are some moments, specifically when her and Yve get closer, that she forgets Yvaine is so much older than her. There are times where she’ll forget and have these thoughts of “You’re just a normal (as normal as can be) person like me.” And then she remembers and is like “Oh wait.....” (Also, remembering probably makes her sad sometimes because it’s the realization of “And you’re stuck going through this same cursed cycle as us....but you don’t even get the gift of forgetting the other lifetimes.”

Not a headcanon but an idea. Split timelines are a thing in Zelda, right? And if there’s any game that involves merging of timelines it’s Hyrule Warriors because we see characters from other games in on place. So....what if Zelda accidentally stumbles into an alternate timeline and finds the Yvaine from that timeline? I don’t know but now I can’t get this idea out of my head.

Zelda can be very stubborn. 100% people (who are close to her) have cracked jokes at her along the lines of “I don’t know who is more fiery and hot-tempered. The dragon or you?”

In the AU we discussed where Zelda can remember all her past lives? The moment she finally unlocks those memories and sees Yvaine for the first time, she immediately breaks down into tears.

This one’s based off another conversation we had: Zelda thinks Yvaine’s cooking is even better than the cook’s at the castle. Their cooking is great, but if given the choice she’d choose whatever Yvaine is making.

Zelda taunts/teases Yve a lot when they’re sparring/training together. I don’t imagine it works well since Yvaine seems like the type to compose herself really well, especially when she knows what the princess is doing. But it doesn’t keep Zelda from trying.

Zelda? Using any excuse to pair up with Yvaine as her second when the army has to split up for different missions? Absolutely.

I have decided that Zelda will 100% start calling her Cassiopeia as a pet name/term of endearment. The explanation I provided for it, which can be found here, is just too perfect for me to not stick with this.

Hyrule Warriors Zelda isn’t as....ritzy as some of her previous incarnations. She’s not as into the lavish balls and stuff, probably because so much of her focus is on Hyrule’s forces and keeping the kingdom safe. But you can bet she uses these events as an opportunity to strut around on Yve’s arm and show her off. Yes, show Yve off, not the other way around.

Zelda knows how to play the lyre, and if you think she hasn’t written a song either about Yvaine or for Yvaine, then you’re definitely wrong. Lullabies are a big thing to Zelda, and Yvaine has trouble sleeping, so Zelda has definitely come up with a lullaby on her lyre to play for Yvaine.

I imagine that if Zelda is ever feeling down in regards to her powers (not feeling strong or having issues with her light magic), Yvaine tries to encourage Zelda by talking about Hylia, focusing on how amazing and strong Hylia was and reminding Zelda that she is the goddess reincarnate.

They’re a war couple. They go marching off to battle often, and while Zelda is used to that, it’s still a bit nerve-wracking to think the people she loves are going into a fight that could be life or death for them (even though Yve can’t truly die). But I imagine after the first incident that prompts Zelda to finally confess her feelings, she eventually has a special amulet made (probably something fused with light magic) that she gives to Yvaine as a sort of protection charm to keep her safe. Just something to give Zelda some extra peace of mind.

Once Zelda finds out what Yve’s favorite color is, she tries to find ways to incorporate it into her clothing more (because there’s just something super appealing about seeing your significant other wearing your favorite color). This is actually super easy for Zelda to subtly get away with since the color plum goes so well with her royal attire anyway.

I need to think through this idea and flesh it out more, but I imagine sometime after the events of Hyrule Warriors, Zelda is presented a new rapier that has ‘dragon’ somewhere in the name and was inspired by Yvaine, being that she’s a dragon familiar.

what are some annoying things you have to deal with from others that solo blogs don’t?

-cracks fingers- listen, i never will bash on solo blogs because we get it, its tough. but theres so many annoying things that multis have to kinda do more to get people to interact with them. which i why i genuine love interacting with other multis.

one of them that genuinely does irk me is with starter calls asking multis to specify which muse they want their one char to interact with. while i understand that it may be overwhelming for a solo to try and choose out of many, its literally just as hard for multis to do the same when we genuinely love all our chars. to be dependent on the mun of a multi to do the work for you instead of just looking through and seeing one you think will work – i mean cmon. it can be a genuine team building exercise to figure it out, but solos ya gotta start helping out and not being lazy to look through too loll. its not hard to look and then ask for more input from us. you know your character and we have to remember all of ours too. 

i also think that multis are like really hard to make promos for ?? because we have so many chars we can’t just slap a picture of one our muses and call it a day. at least for me i genuinely have to consider what images will work when making a promo and deciding what vibe i want. while like i said solos can just slap a picture and be done lol. 

solos just have it easier lol. let me rephrase that tho, a solo with a white fc have it super easy, even more if they’re male. because i’ve seen this so many times where people just flock to them, read all their info. when a multi prob has a character with a similar attributes/personality just more diverse. but hey thats just what i’ve seen lol. and while its not annoying to have a white fc i think multis are also held to a higher standard than solos for sure on what kinda of fc they use and how many poc they have. while a mun can have multi solo blogs but theyre all white and its fine, ya feel ? ( not that im saying that multis shouldn’t be diverse tho, bc i think if you have over 10 muses at least half or so have to be poc at least bc cmon. ) i just think theres def more pressure on multis than solos.

OOC: Hey folks, Virgil mun here! I know some folks were asking about us being gone but we had some irl stuff to tend to, sadly those come first! With the new video out its given us some ideas on how to move forward too. I saw your post regarding getting into RPCs and appreciated a lot of what you said. I wanted to ask if you had any more advise on things like sending in prompts to people. I want to interact with others but I know that having to come up with a reply to something so open and sometimes vague can be really hard, especially if you don't know the prompter very well, and I don't like putting that pressure on people all because I want to interact... Writing prompts and starters that are open and vague about the other character can be tricky, its a bit of an art form you have to work at. But vague doesnt have to mean boring and thats important to remember.

Make up for what cant be said with an interesting hook. Focus on your character and their wants/needs and make them require another human being (or not) to acquire them.

I find it easiest to do something lighthearted and fun. Its hard to predict how a muse might react to a tragic or violent situation, but a lot of good relationships can be formed out of intense emotional situations.

For a first time interacting though a little slice of life can help build a repertoire with someone, help you get to know their character and create something more specific next time.

When I write something I try to check it over and ask myself a few questions: is this engaging? Is it open ended- (can it be replied to easily or does it seem closed off)? Is it too specific?

If you require the person to respond back positively (like with happy or excited emotions) or negatively, it might be too specific.

"Well you look happy."

Vs

"Are you happy to see me?"

Gives the responder the freedom to chose how their character actually is in the situation vs you telling them. Its technically god modding but people will mind less if you have a repertoire with them and can accurately gauge they would be happy in the situation.

The first thing I do when writing an open ended prompt for a first time interaction is get as much information about the character as I can, and then come up with scenarios.

Where they could meet, what kind of relationship do they have already? (Maybe one is the others superior, classmates, hero/civilian, ect) and try to build off that. What are some interesting ways for people to meet?

Try not to keep it flat and ordinary, this is the engaging part. Catch their attention, make them want to meet you. If your muse is the boring or non-social type FORCE them to share a space with someone. Lock them in an elevator, put them in a position where they must ask for help or even having them just stare at the other person until they're unsettled is effective.

Be as zanny and cooky as you like, first impressions are important.

And when worst comes to worst: open communication.

I can not stress this enough, its so important and REWARDING when you open up that line to other people. It makes your relationship better and your interactions better.

Ive followed people I had an IMPOSSIBLE tome interacting with, until I got to know them and found out their muse secretly enjoys such and such. Bam. Instant blackmail. Now I can force them to hang out with me cause turns out my character just so happens to know this or stumbles upon it by accident WHO KNOWS.

Talk to them about possible scenarios, ask for feedback on ideas, or just shoot the shit together. Musing back and forth can bring out wonderful ideas. "Hey what if: this?" "Omg well [muse] would totally flip out I cant believe you would DO THAT" "🙄🙄🙄 orly" wow already best friends.

Okay its not always that smooth, but engaging the actual mun can help a lot. They can provide input for what does and doesnt work to hook their character and that can help you figure out he best way to approach them!

*.:｡✧*ﾟ｡The issue of “clicky” rps seems to be worst than ever recently and it breaks my heart, for members and admins alike. This is an issue I find quite frustrating as I see my friends who are admins feel like shit about it and also to know that there are so many people not having fun in rps, which is what rping should be all about. So here is a little “guide” if you’d like to call it that on how to address this issue and start just having fun again *.:｡✧*ﾟ｡

I’m going to star out with the general stuff and then dig into some twitter rp and appless rp specifics

First off, I know there will always be a few rps that will just be “clicky” and won’t change, but there are a lot of things you can do to avoid/fix this and if you feel like you don’t fit in just leave and be nice about it. Manners are a great thing to have.

Also, the most important thing to remember is you get out of it what you give to it. You have to try !!!

So yes people are more likely to interact with their friends, I feel like thats just a natural instinct. I know for me I 100% have more muse with characters who I’ve formed a connection with their mun.

So most importantly remember that there is an actual human bean behind each character and half the fun of an rp is making friends (at least in my opinion) and it’s not that hard if you just try. 

Don’t make your first message to someone “hey wanna plot”, no ! just talk to them at first and try to connect with them. Plus trust me, it makes plotting a lot easier when you show you want more than just a plot with the person.

When joining an already established rp make sure you come in with plot ideas, because most likely people have a lot of established plots by then and it can be harder to think of new ones without your input. A lot of established member really do want to plot and give you what you want so you have to know what you want (what you really really want).

Also joining into an already established rp, you will have to work a little harder to get immersed into the group, that’s just how it is.

Nothing kills me more than someone who joins, throws in an intro asking for plots and then expecting everyone to come to them. I wish it was that easy but it just isn’t. Some members are really on top of that and will come to you first but you also have to take charge and message people. So don’t leave after one day if you haven’t put in effort to try and connect with members.

If you do get complaints about things getting “clicky” do take note of that and address it, that can really help those who feel left out feel like they matter in the rp.

Also sometimes members might not even realize they’re making people feel left out and most likely they’ll try to fix the problem if it’s brought up.

Giving specific time for ooc chatting and plotting right when the rp opens is fantastic, 10/10 recommend. Maybe even throw in some ooc nights to just encourage people to connect with each other.

Have events and tasks that encourage more interactions or even pair people you don’t see interacting a lot together, it might lead to some cool plots.

Don’t let mean and hateful messages get to you, there are just some people who will be salty and like to complain like it’s their goddamn job, smh.

Take into consideration that member who are more active on the tl are just more likely to interact with each other more. I mean if you rarely see someone on the tl there isn’t much to go off of and interact with.

But also don’t be afraid to reply to people you haven’t yet, maybe there will be a spark and it will always make them feel noticed which is important.

Make posts that are easy to reply to, ones that can easily start a conversations. Sometimes I see ones and I’m like I really don’t know what to say to this.

Also remember in a bigger rp the tl can move really fast and there’s always a chance it’s just hard to keep up with and notice things so post as much as you can so you’re seen more on the tl.

I can not stress enough how important it is to be friendly and try to connect with each mun. Sometimes it can be hard to find muse for replies to a writer you don’t know. 

Also message people and start threads specific for them. It can be hard to find muse for open general starters, for me at least, and I’m sure a lot of other people. 

Again the people who are more active tend to respond to each other’s starters more or put more effort into those threads. That might sound shitty, but it’s true. More developed plots and connections are just easier to write.

Also just IM a lot. I’m stressing this making connections thing a lot because it really is so important. 

Throw around head cannons, make edits, just do fun things to keep plots interesting and fun.

give the group an actual chance even if it might take a few days to feel apart of it. I know sometimes this can kill your muse and that’s understandable, but do your best.

Don’t send admins nasty messages and don’t send rpts nasty messages about them. There really is only so an admin can do and they are doing their best.

Plot. Plot. Plot. !!! Unique ones too, have fun, flesh them out, commit to them.

Don’t be afraid to message people first if you don’t hear from many members, sometimes it’s hard to keep up with things.
