Your name was being screamed across the ship by none other than the captain himself. He was excited to show you a new goofy trick that Chopper and him had come up with. But when he didn’t receive any response from you, he turned to the small reindeer with a confused expression.

-Oi, where is y/n ?

-She said she felt dizzy so she went to lie down in her room.

Nami answered him while putting down her magazine. She furrowed her eyebrows now also worried about your silent behaviour. It’s been now around three hours since you had left. You weren’t one to be overly loud like your boyfriend, but having you completely out of sight was worrisome.

-Aahh?! Nami! You should’ve told me she was feeling unwell!

Chopper screamed worried as he ran across the ship to grab his medical bag. He ran to your room, soon followed by Luffy and Nami.

As they opened the door, they watched your frame all curled up in the sheets as if it was cold outside. Luffy ran to you and touched your warm forehead.

-Chopper ! She’s burning hot! Do something!

-Yes!

Your eyes slightly opened from all the noises suddenly filled in your room.

-Everyone…what are y’all doing here…

-Y/N! ARE YOU OKAY?!

Luffy screamed happy to see you awake.

He announced suddenly determined. He caressed your hair softly and his eyes filled with worries. Nami shook her head and gave you a sorry smile.

He retorted suddenly full of seriousness. It wasn’t like him to be so serious about things in general, but seeing him like that with you made your heart warm.

He indeed stayed the whole day and the day after too. He kept you company until you started feeling better.

He tried to make you laugh by telling you stupid stories about his childhood and doing goofy ass shit. He would ask Sanji to make you the best nutritive food he could so you will heal faster. He cuddled with you at night even though Chopper told him he could catch your cold. He tried his best to brush your hair, but he let that to Nami after failing miserably 💀.

He tried his best to make you forget you were suffering even though it could be just for a second. If he was able to make you smile, he considered you were slowly getting better. He loves you so much. So for him, you needed to stay by his side until you both achieved your goals and more, and he was gonna make sure of it.

Zoro

-Zoro, I think we’re lost.

-No we are not.

He said convinced of himself. You rolled your eyes well aware of the direction skills of your boyfriend. Y’all stopped for a second trying to figure your position (mostly you) in this jungle. You leaned against a tree and let your body slide down until you were sat on the ground. Your head leaned on the tree as you searched for the map you found on the ground yesterday.

-Aren’t you a bit too exhausted for a little walk in the forest?

Zoro teased unaware with a slight chuckle as he watched your frame completely relying on the tree to hold your body. You have been sweating a lot more than you are used to and fatigue waves were hitting your body since y’all slept in this jungle. You didn’t say anything not wanting to worry your boyfriend or the crew, but it was starting to take a toll on you.

-Yeah, I don’t know…

You replied without much interest to bicker with him. You pulled the map out of your bag and started to try to localize y’all position.

-Hey, are you okay?

You feel your boyfriend tower over you, creating a much needed shade. You blinked at him as you felt your vision getting weak and nodded. He shook his head and leaned towards you and placed his hand on your forehead.

-You are burning. We need to get you to Chopper.

-Y/n, you’re obviously not feeling your best. You’re sweating and your body is barely keeping you conscious at this rate.

You insisted with now tears in your eyes because of a sudden sharp pain you felt in your head. You had a bad headache in the morning but it seemed to have left, but now it came back even worse. Zoro eyes filled with worries seeing your eyes get teary. He picked up your body in a bridal style and pecked your forehead.

-Okay let’s try to find the others as quick as we can.

You chuckled knowing it would probably take hours with his poor direction skills. You let your head rest on his chest and closed your eyes. You trusted him no matter what anyway.

-Okay

It was the last word you said before you fell asleep in his arms. Sanji and Chopper had randomly fell on the both of you as Zoro was walking with you in his arms and yelling the crews name to grab their attention. He explained shortly the situation to the doctor. They decided it would be better to head back to the ship.

After some time you opened your eyes and saw y’all were still walking in this warm jungle, but with now Sanji at the front followed by Chopper.

-You’re awake? How do you feel?

Zoro deep voice asked you softly, but his eyes were still following the cooks figure.

-I’m okay, thank you for carrying me.

He didn’t reply but simply smiled and nodded. His eyes looked down at you with a rare grin.

-Let’s just heal you already so we can go back to our explorations.

-More like finding our way out of being lost, you mumble weakly with a weak smirk.

-Yeah yeah whatever.

Sanji

-What a beautiful day, especially when I’m accompanied by my beautiful lady~

Sanji exclaimed while lightening up the cigarette at the edge of his lips. He tightened slightly his grip of your hand as he gave you a sweet look. You chuckled and rested your head for few seconds on his shoulders.

-Of course, how could I say no to a grocery shopping with my beloved man.

He blushed like crazy at the nickname and left a quick kiss on your cheek.

-AHHHH, Im so lucky to have you~ Look! The vegetables look fresh which is perfect when we have to sail for a long time.

He excitedly walked to the few standing shops to see the quality of the vegetables and you followed behind him, your hands still intertwined in his.

You weren’t paying much attention to what he was saying due to a little fever you caught this morning. You didn’t know the cause but you were still able to function, it was just giving you a harder time to do simple task. Like walking around the new island and spending time with your boyfriend, it was surprisingly more demanding than you would’ve thought.

-Did I lost you, ma jolie ?

He asked worried that he got carried away with his excitement to try new ingredients and buy fresh food for everyone. You used your other hand to caress his arm and reassure him.

-Of course not, I’m sorry. I think the heat is getting to me, it’s making me feel a little dizzy.

-Would you like to sit somewhere in the shade until you feel better ? We can go back to the ship if you want? I will make you something refreshing.

-I think sitting in the shade for a moment could help.

He kissed you once again and you two walked to a cafe and sat on one of the table on the terrasse. He ordered a cold drink for each of you. You closed your eyes and let your body lean over the back of the chair. You felt nauseous on top of the fever, it wasn’t your day.

-I think I’m sick, you retorted plainly, accepting your fate. You hated being sick but you knew not to push yourself too hard to heal faster.

-Should we head back to the Sunny ?

-I will. You still have to shop for the food. It’s important.

-You are important too. It won’t kill anyone if I do it tomorrow or later.

-Sanji, we can’t afford staying somewhere too long. Robin stayed on the ship, I’m sure we will figure something out until Chopper comes back.

You sighed and a smile curved your lips.

He smirked satisfied. After drinking your refreshers and paying, you both started to walk to the Sunny.

He retorted determined after you turned him down. You secretly smiled to yourself. You loved how much of gentleman he was. He carried you all the way to the Sunny and asked Robin to take care of you until the doctor was back from his exploration.

He made sure she would run to any doctor if your state got worse. You reassured him it was simply a little fever and you were fine. He reluctantly left after making sure you were all comfortable in your sheets, that you had your favourite snacks, a big water bottle, your favorite books, etc.

-You are sure, you don’t want me to stay?

-Sanji, I swear to god if you don’t go I will kick your ass out of the boat.

He caressed your hair back and pecked the top of your head. He lifted your face by putting his finger under your chin as if he was trying to read your eyes and make sure you were truly honest with him. He gave you a long kiss on the lips and brushed your cheek with his thumb before pulling back.

-Alright! I WILL BE BACK SO REST A LOT! I WILL MAKE YOU A GOOD SOUP!

He exclaimed as he ran out of your room. Robin walked in after his departure to check up on you. You collapsed in your bed, eyes closed as sleep took over you. Robin shook lightly her head as she closed the door behind her. You stayed strong in front of him just not to worry him. Sanji made a bussing soup when he returned tho.

-So my girlfriend is sick ?

Ace spoke as he opened the door of your room. You were reading a book that you bought not too long ago at the last island y’all stopped. Your eyes looked at your freckled lover that had just bursted into your space.

-I guess I’m not so untouchable, you declared sarcastically with a smile. He scoffed and walked over to your bed. He softly grabbed your face and kissed you.

-Aren’t you scared of being sick by kissing me, you idiot.

I, too, really love when Michonne body slammed that random woman who punched Rick. And it being directly after their first night together makes it sexier. Like that is HER man, she's decided. Like, they're so iconic. Imagine every scene with your ship being their best scene. That's crazy!

But to answer your question I'll name a few of moments I especially love. Some of these are probably underrated, others probably not. It's not gonna be in any type of order because it's too hard to rank lol. But here are five.

1: Taking Judith To Hilltop

Whenever Carl is dying and Alexandria is getting bombed by the saviors, the group decides they need to evacuate to Hilltop. Rick asks Michonne, the person he trusts most in the world, to take Judith to Hilltop. And we all know how much Rick (and Michonne) loves his children so this was definitely a huge thing to ask. I just find it beautiful the amount of trust he has in her. I love that Andy quote where he's like "Rick trusts her with his life and his children's lives." I can't remember the full quote so I'm definitely paraphrasing but it's a great moment. And unfortunately I can't find a picture of the moment either.

2: Mowing Down Walkers with the RDIM

This whole scene is just so crazy to me. It starts off with Michonne annoyed she has to just stand around while everyone else does all the work. Fed up, she decides to ignore Thorne and take charge. She grabs the RDIM and runs and runs and runs pretty far away from everyone else, mowing down walkers along the way. And then all of a sudden who appears next to her? Rick. Do you know how fast he would have to have been running to catch up with her? He's crazy lmao! It's also really sweet in another way too because he knows she might get in trouble for this so he gets himself in trouble with her. Partners in crime! And also im sure he couldn't just let her run into a horde of walkers by herself. Anyway, they mow down the walkers and then Rick sets the RDIM up to explode and grabs Michonne's hand and runs away from the impending explosion with her. And if you notice when they go behind the tree, Rick puts her ahead of himself. He also shields her body with his when the explosion happens. We know what happens next. They start staring into each other's eyes and neither of them are capable of resisting each other so they have a little makeout session complete with tonguing and moaning. Classic richonne. Noticing their connection, Michonne says "come on" referring to how he should leave with her. He warns that "They'll find us, they will." She tells him "we'll make it so they can't." And he's under her spell so of course all his most recent refusal just goes out the window as he tells her "not like this." It ends with a signature forehead touch. I feel like this is a thing richonne generally does when they feel distant from one another. Physical touch is big for them so I feel like the forehead touching is a way to reconnect them I think. It's beautiful. So anyway they head back to the rest of the group to help. Thorne's goofy ass decides that Michonne, or Dana, is more trouble than she's worth and aims her big gun at her. Somehow Michonne's bodyguard Rick notices this immediately. It's crazy how he ALWAYS has eyes on her to protect her. No wonder she said she only feels safe with him. He sticks himself between the gun and Michonne, blocking her from Thorne's view and successfully saving her from being killed. I love seeing how protective Rick is of his lady.

3: Rv Hand Hold

So after their first kiss and first night together, they are tragically robbed of the chance to spend the morning together when Jesus lets himself into their home to speak to Rick. This world moves fast so they don't really get the time to breathe before Jesus and the rest of the group are on their way to Hilltop. Michonne sits bashfully in the passenger seat, wondering if last night meant as much to Rick as it did to her. And Rick notices this (because he always has eyes on her) and eases her mind by grabbing her hand. Of COURSE it meant as much to him as it did to you.

4: Michonne Saving Rick From Winslow

So I've talked about how much I love Rick being protective of Michonne but I also love when Michonne is protective of Rick. Okay so this moment happens when Rick and Michonne are trying to recruit those worthless useless garbage people to fight against the saviors. Their leader (who I'm not naming because fuck that bitch) wants to put Rick to the test like the dumbass she is. To test him, she decides to take him "up, up, up" which is code for "throw you in a hole you can't climb out of with no weapons while a spiked walker comes at you." Michonne, sensing this bullshit, nervously grabs Rick's hand to stop him. She goes to say something but Rick stops her and comforts her. He goes up there anyway and gives Michonne a reassuring nod once up there. The leader says some sort of bullshit to him, I don't know what because I zone out any time she speaks. Anyway she pushes him down the hole. Michonne screams at her "what did you do?!?!" before running to find Rick by looking through a hole. She yells his name and he looks around confusedly for a few seconds before figuring out where her voice is coming from. He lets her know he's okay. And then Winslow comes at him. Again he has no weapon so he frantically tries to climb out but to no avail. Michonne watching this through the hole yells directions to him. "The walls. USE them!" And he does! And it works! Michonne's plan works and she saves his life. It's just a fun example of how Michonne's guidance always helps Rick.

5: Unclenching His Fist

So after a very endearing family fun day for the Grimes family, it sadly gets cut short when Scott (or whatever his name is) delivers the news that some random ex savior (that really no one cares about) got killed by someone. This is bad news and Rick is visibly upset by this. Michonne notices this and reaches a hand out to him.

His hand is closed and she gently opens it.

She not only comforts him but let's him know this burden isn't only his. It's hers too. And that they will get through this together. Michonne has always been able to comfort Rick in a way no one else can and vice versa.

So in conclusion, these are just a few moments I really love and why I love them. Again I wanna say that every moment is my favorite richonne moment so this is definitely not a ranked list. I had to limit myself to just five because I could go on and on and on and on and on and on if you let me 😂 but if you wanna know more of my favorite moments I don't mind sharing them. Okay so I’ve never played any Kingdom Hearts games and I’ve only watched the first 2 hours of a play through of the first game.

I’m gonna list everything I know through just internet osmosis. So tell me how off the mark I am on some of this (If I spell names wrong I’m sorry and be nice please)

Sora, Riku, and Kari(?), have all grown up together and play on this island with no parents in sight or a house or anything but island kids running around (do they have parents and houses to go home to? Or is this just Peter Pan style island of lost kids)

They want to leave the island and go on an adventure together

Kari just kinda showed up one day

Sora has a crush on Kari but has not a lot of interactions with her but is constantly talking about Riku and chasing after him

Kari I’m sorry sweetie as far as I can tell you’re the old trope of “this is girl character who is girl and main love interest that will spend 99% of the plot damsel’d and doing nothing -probably knocked out- and the last 1% she spends reassuring the main male lead in some way and has no personality outside of that” (this could be radically different in the games and she actually has a personality that doesn’t revolve around the main lead Sora needing to rescue her but all of the scenes I’ve seen from the games she’s either just standing there or is knocked out)

Riku and Sora have so mush chemistry people are convinced they are in love (to be fair every thing I’ve seen from the games has them constantly obsessing over each other more so than anyone else. Half their lines seem to be each others names. So yeah big rainbow energy coming off of them)

Also don’t they like combine swords or something into a big weapon… 👀🏳️‍🌈

Passing zora fan here and I personally think you are more correct when you pointed out eldest daughter curse with regards to Mipha's age. It's easy to not notice since we never see her stand next to full grown zora women (which are probably around 7-8 feet tall) but she is VERY SHORT, shorter than Link and he's also short. Since she's so small, it makes more sense for her to not be an adult. Which isn't to say you don't grow as an adult, but an adult Zora who's still growing wouldn't be as short as her.

The way she carries herself is 100% the eldest daughter curse. Her situation is extremely similar and somewhat parallels what Zelda (who was 16 just turned 17) goes through in botw. They both have societies with high expectations, and an important magical ability. The main difference between the two was that Mipha had a considerably more loving (though not perfect) environment and was able to channel her emotions, and use her power, which Zelda couldn't do till the last moment unfortunately due to her environment. This parallel is acknowledged by Mipha trying to give Zelda advice, but getting cut off just before she can speak. I also think the way Mipha handles herself is not that of an adult, but that of a teenager who is forced to be an adult.

I know it's possible my point might be countered by the one NPC named Finley who looks like a child but "is a young woman who hasn't hit her growth spurt yet" but I 100% believe that Finley is NOT in fact an adult, but a fresh teenager who is going through the "I'm practically an adult" phase. I know the game tries to say otherwise but it's some goofy and contradictory writing in my opinion.

i don't have a particularly strong opinion about mipha's age like i do with revali, so i think you and the other anon are just going to have to duke it out on the field together about it LOL. i won't debate about the correlation between height and age as a 20 year old asian afab person, but i do think if zora genetics have any similarities with hylian/human genetics, then there could be a possibility of mipha being older and still tiny. perhaps she was a late bloomer or inherited a recessive gene/condition/etc that caused her be much smaller than the rest of her peers. seeing as that king dorephan is fucking massive and we never see her mother (as far as i know, i haven't played loz in a while), the speculations we can have on the extent of zora puberty, especially regarding mipha and sidon's genetics, is pretty limited bc the game obviously doesn't focus on biology and the details are likely kept intentionally vague to encourage players to ship mipha and link etc.

i don't have anything substantial to say regarding finley LOL i agree that nintendo was a bit messy with the localization for whatever that story was supposed to be about. i do quite like your reasoning about her still being a teenager forced to act an an adult in lieu of the Eldest Daughter Curse since i have had similar experiences and caught onto that immediately as well. that parallel between her and zelda haunts me; they could have been so close, bonding over their similar circumstances but we get that all taken away by the calamity.

When they first met, he was just looking to recruit more people into the emperor’s coven, and he thought she and some others would be a good fit. They played flyer derby together (a sport in the demon realm), and it was the first time he’d actually been able to have fun with people his age. His original plan was still in play so Willow and the others on the team got taken and put into custody so they could be put into the emperor’s coven. However, at this point Hunter felt incredibly bad. In the end, he broke the rules and got them out of there. He was prepared to be hated, but Willow and the others forgave him. I think at this point is when he started developing feelings for her. This guy, who talks so much people can see through his disguises because of his voice, will get SO quiet and blushy when she’s nearby. He knew there was an illusion when the illusion acted scared and shy because he saw her as the strong, courageous witch she is. She saw his cringe outfits and cosplay and took a picture for her scrapbook and called it a look. She winked at him and he blushed and smiled this goofy smile. When she finally broke down after trying to keep a brave face for the others, he comforted her. I think somewhere around here she started developing feelings too. They held hands!!! She said “you mean a lot to me too”!!! They mean so much to me.

You know, it's really funny. I watched TOS as a small child, again as a teenager, and again in my thirties -- but it wasn't until I saw the stills and the out-of-context quotes that it started to click for me that these Super Divorced Men were in a poly triad. And I thought, "Oh, it just looks gay when out of context." But then I looked at the context. And it was all over for me.

It's the way Jim looks at Bones and Spock, like the universe vanishes for him when they are close. It's the way Spock (who is from a culture where affection is a source of shame) cannot keep his hands off his Captain or Doctor for five minutes (oh hi I'm a touch telepath you seem to have some exposed skin *POKE*). It's McCoy pushing Kirk and Spock away and then rushing back to them with everything that he is, only to push them away again.

It's Leonard Nimoy's face scant inches from De Kelly's or Bill Shatner's, and the screen melting from the heat and sexual tension. It's DeKelly looking at Shatner and licking his lips.

It's Kirk's eyes on their lips and their asses in any instance where Kirk doesn't have lines, and Kirk and Spock biting their lips when they look at one another.

Once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

Honestly, in TOS, my favorite thing is the speeches that McCoy and Spock give that are basically just thinly disguised declarations of love.

Spock: "Computers make excellent and efficient servants; but I have no wish to serve under them. Captain, a starship also runs on loyalty to one man, and nothing can replace it, or him."

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

LOL I think shipping a triad is unpopular enough!

But actually, I think it's my take on Spock. Yes, Spock is a badass. Yes, Spock has super strength. Yes, Spock says he doesn't have emotions.

But Spock lies. Spock steals starships. Spock goes into a group of hippie teenagers and is accepted as one of their own inside thirty seconds. Spock has a sense of humor and will sass you into the ground. So much of the character is hidden, and he's terrified to let it loose, partly because he is afraid of hurting others, but more than that, because he fears ridicule.

I see the sweet, innocent, goofy SNW Spock inside of TOS Spock. The snark and the sass are walls. When those walls come down, once the pain has been soothed, you get the sweet and the goofy back.

it's kind of a cliché, but the older I get, the less I care about what other people think of me, and the more free I feel.

like, of course I want people to like me. I want people to think I'm a good person, that I'm generous and kind. the important things. but superficial stuff? the way I dress, or what my body or hair looks like? the books or music or TV I like, or my hobbies, or my fandoms? I do that shit for me.

I cut my own hair. I had a buzzcut for several years. I dress how I want. I eat what I want. I don't shave my body hair. I didn't change my name when I got married. I don't wear underwire bras. in the last year or so I've become more open about my fandom hobbies and writing with IRL friends.

I'm really just trying to live without shame. you know, I'm a woman in America, and there is so much shame and pressure and expectation associated with women simply existing. and I'm one of the lucky ones – the way I was raised, a lot of the really shitty diet culture/beauty culture/gendered expectations missed me. and I've still had to unlearn a lot of crap to be comfortable with who I am.

I don't know, I'm just in my mid-30s and I'm still meeting so many women my age and older who have that "oh, I could never do [x]" kind of attitude, and it makes me so sad. because it's just! not true!! you can do whatever you want forever!! you can cut your hair however you want and you can wear bright clothes and you can sing badly and you can make stupid art and you can quit shaving your legs and you can swear and you can exist!!!! you're allowed to do that!!!

anyway it's not much of a life hack to say "just stop caring what other people think about you" lmao because it's... not that easy. obviously. but the less I carry the weight of other people's expectations of me the better I feel.

also, get blackout curtains for your bedroom. and nice sheets. and wash your sheets weekly. sorry this got way longer and more intense than anyone was probably expecting.

one of my fondest Dreamling headcanons – and I've definitely written about this before, although I haven't managed to turn it into an actual full-fledged fic – is that after Dream allows himself to get talked out of his suicide attempt and retires as an (immortal, unaging) human, Hob is the one who takes him in and cares for him and teaches him how to live.

but, crucially, they don't jump right into a relationship.

it's just really important to me that if they get together in a retired!Dream AU, they do so as equals. and after Dream has a chance to pursue other relationships, to explore and discover what he really likes as a human, as an individual. I want him to go on bad dates and great dates and have goofy ass human sex and travel the world and get his heart broken.

and then I want him to realize that Hob is everything he's ever wanted – everything he's learned he wants – and come back to him and then they bang like bunnies and live happily after.

Listen, they are a bunch of losers and I love them. Their captain calls himself a doctor, but his crew doesn't even know how to give first aid?! Like... they fished an uncouncious Luffy out of the water and were like 'what do we dooooo???!!!' and then proceded to just yell his name until he came to. Also, they have a submarine, which is really cool.

Some of them have been around since their captain was a kid (and so were they!), loved him and stood by his side the whole time. They have silly names and silly hats and one of the coolest ships in the series (Polar Tang beloved). They’re silly and goofy and they love their captain so much, and they’re so cool for being specialists in underwater fights.

The heart pirates story is amazing and to long to put here but they are basically the perfect found family with law, penguin, shachi and bepo finding each other in their early teens. Law beat up a young shachi and penguin after they attacked bepo and suddenly law had two teenagers and a polar bear mink attached to him. It's also amazing how this crew is just completely devoted to a hot mess like Law. 7. Yellow submarine

Found family!! The crew works together as a wonderful team and constantly supports each other and their captain. At ever possible opportunity they have shown how although they may not be the strongest crew they are definitely one of the most caring. The fact that Shachi, Penguin, and Bepo all share the technical title and roll of first mate is so cute to me! They all live their captain so much even though he is kinda crabby and Law has shown to go to great lengths to keep his crew from harms way. When they actually do get to fight they are well coordinated and look out for each other. Shachi and Penguin can just fight underwater. Also they have a fucking submarine! I love the polar tang.

It really makes him feel cared for because of how devoted you are and he never questions how you feel about him because you make it known. Your first date was to the Zoo. He knows how much you love animals and he hasn't been anywhere fun since he joined The Seven. He shows you all his favorite animals and you show him yours, telling him facts about them as you walk by. You hold hands as you walk and he swings your arms, the both of you grateful no one's noticed who he is even in normal clothes. At the end of the date he gets you a plushie of your favorite animal. You let him name it and you have it to this day. It's your favorite souvenir. Relationship Headcanon: Reggie loves comics. He's been reading them since he was a kid, sharing them with his brother, staying up late with a flashlight under the covers. When he finds out you love comic books too he definitely nerds out. You two read them together, talking about your favorite Supes. He gives you insight and secrets on all your favorite ones, sort of ruining their perfect images. You refuse to hear anything more about Tek Knight knowing whatever else he tells you about him is going to ruin not only your interest, but the collection of comics you have of him, too.
