Taylor Swift Acceptance Speech - Tour of the Year Award | 2019 iHeartRad... @taylorswift Since I can’t say everything I want too on twitter, I’ll say it here. Out of all your tours, I’ve only been to one. The Reputation Stadium Tour. I remember your album coming out on November 10th, 2017. I couldn’t get it till the 12th which was my birthday. I remember going to the mall and heading to F.Y.E. (For Your Entertainment), a store that sells DVDs, CDs, Vinyls, etc. I remember going straight to the new releases shelf and seeing the album Reputation and grabbing it as fast as I possibly could. Once I held it, I felt pure happiness. I couldn’t wait to get it home and opened up and play it on my CD player. When I played the album, I absolutely fell in love with it. I swear that every single song is a bop. I remember telling my mom about the tour and she said I would have to ask my dad cause well he’s the one in the family that pays for stuff. He’s the money holder. I asked him and he said, “we’ll see.” A while later like May I believe I brought up the tour again and he decided we would go and he tried calling to buy the tickets but ended up doing it online. Well, I did. Haha Him and technology don’t mix. Haha I remember that night (this happened days after he tried over the phone) I got on ticketmaster to order the tickets. The time limit to ordering tickets kinda pissed me off cause you get like 10 minutes or less and I like to take my time making sure I got all the information right. First off when I ran out of time, I’m glad I did cause I made a mistake by only getting 1 seat but we needed 2 cause I wasn’t going to the concert alone so in a way, the time out thing was a blessing. I did it again and used my dad’s credit card to pay for the tickets. Fast forward to July 7th, 2018. I’m with my dad in the car driving to Columbus, Ohio for the Reputation Stadium Tour. My first concert ever. I never had a single thought that this tour was gonna be a disaster or a flop. I mean, come on, you’re Taylor Swift!!!!!! You got millions of fans around the world who would give up their life savings just to see you perform at least once. It felt like once we got to Columbus (2 hour drive from our house) and got the car parked, it felt like miles of walking to the stadium. lol But it was great cause for once I was part of a huge group walking towards a stadium that was holding a concert for a huge star that millions loved. It felt amazing. Plus, a fellow Swiftie walked by singing out loud “I Wish You Would” and I sang along. Normally, I would hate singing. It isn’t my thing and normally I don’t do it cause I sound bad and worry how people think. This time I couldn’t care less. I let myself go. I felt free. We got to the stadium and I could hear Charli singing. We got our tickets scanned and then got inside and once I saw inside the stadium, I was in love. The view was beautiful. We got to our seats and I recorded Charli and Camila and inside I was like, I wanna see Taylor!!!! Once you came out on stage, I screamed my lungs out. What a hell of an opening to a tour. You took my breath away. Plus, my favorite/stan song on the album “I Did Something Bad” was the BEST performance on the tour imo. I enjoyed every second and didn’t want it to end. I wanted to jam out to you all night. You made my first concert amazing and incredible and unforgettable. Plus, it meant a lot when you performed “You Belong With Me” cause that song made me a fan of yours. I’m so grateful that you performed that song at my first concert. It’s like you knew I was there. Thank you. The 2 hour drive to and from the concert was so worth the drive. I would do it all over and over again if I could. This entire caption proves that the Reputation Stadium Tour was a hit. It was fire. It was lit. You brought the house down. What more can I say??? You did amazing!!!!!! I don’t mean to be biased but every best tour award should go to you. You work so hard and put so much effort into everything. Every little detail. Congrats on the win!!!!! You deserve millions more of those awards and every award humanly possible. I love you so much, Taylor!!!!!!! I will always love and support you.

My Taylor story

I decided as my first post to tell u how my love for Taylor came to be. How I went from a fan to loving whatever she did. So back to 5th grade when my discovery of Taylor began! I had a friend who liked Taylor so when we would hang out she would show me things and listen to Taylor and I thought ok cool. And then in 2012 I officially began listening to Taylor non stop and in the past I’ve had favorite musicians but with Taylor something changed and my love became more than just listening to her music non stop. When red came out I was so excited I begged my mom to take me to target to get her album on release day and she agreed and when I had it I was the happiest girl on the planet! After loving her my mom decided to talk to my aunt and cousin and see if they liked the idea of taking me to see Taylor for the first time live in 2013 at MetLife Stadium! Aka the only time I’ve been there is to see Taylor! As the years went on so did my love for her. My brothers hated how much I would blare her music throughout the house and how loud and proud I would sing along to every word of every song! As the 1989 era began I was so excited to see her post a new music video for shake it off which when my mom heard it for the first time she couldn’t help but sing along too! When I asked what I wanted for Christmas all I said was to see Taylor live so when my parents surprised me on Christmas morning I burst into tears when I read what the picture saw with Taylor and 1989 world tour met life stadium July 10,2015 merry Christmas Allie we love you forever and always! For a while I didn’t have a lot of actual friends i only had taylor so for me seeing my best friend live again was the greatest gift I could have ever gotten Christmas 2014

When I saw her live and she began with welcome to New York I burst out into tears! After that i basically eat, slept drank Taylor Alison Swift! When she announced her new era I immediately made a Ticketmaster account and bought my first piece of Reputation merchandise with my own money online! I was so happy! I pre ordered the album and when I got the shirt I was so excited to see the new album cover on a t shirt in person! All I asked for this Christmas was tickets to see Taylor and with the new way Ticketmaster did things I got a thank you for ur ticket purchase under my mom’s name and I was sitting in science where I wanted to jump out of my seat and scream! This would be my cousin’s first Taylor concert bc the past 2 ones we’ve been to she’s been in Atlanta Georgia so it was extra special especially in the rain! I love how she isn’t afraid to share things with us or tell us things like invite us to her house and know we won’t tell anyone else and how she picks out who she wants to meet after a concert! Seeing her live for the 3rd time made me realize how much love she has for us! She isn’t afraid to show us who she is and isn’t afraid to show her political views, in fact i feel grateful for a platform like social media where she can share product things with us and show her happiness for us when we stand for our rights! I never knew what someone who is genuine with herself and her songs until I found Taylor! 100% the truth no lies there!

Letter to Taylor.

I did something bad.

I got caught up in the moment and spent $860.25 CAD on Taylor Swift’s Reputation Stadium Tour tickets. But, honestly, baby, who’s counting? Who’s counting? Umm, my empty bank account, Taylor, that’s who. Don’t forget to factor in the money that I’ll have to spend just to get to Toronto. This is why we can’t have nice things, honey.

Look what you made me do. I hope you know that I do bad things for you. I could’ve spent that money on a round trip to an all-inclusive resort in Cuba for that price. Taylor, you should think about the consequence of your magnetic field being a little too strong. Ugh, you’re so cool, it makes me hate you so much. You’ve ruined my life by not being mine because now I can’t afford to live. I feel like I might sink and drown in debt. I’m so furious at you for making me feel this way but what can I say? You’re gorgeous.

I have been waiting, waiting for years to see Taylor perform live in concert. I wanted to go to both her Red Tour and her 1989 Tour but didn’t have the money. Honestly, I’ve never gone to any concerts since I’ve always said that my first concert would be Taylor’s. Tay, you should take it as a compliment.

Deep down, I know that all of this silence and patience, pining in anticipation will be worth it. I was so nervous about not being able to get any tickets to see her show. Ticketmaster’s Taylor Swift Tix false advertising seriously gave me anxiety. Call it what you want, yeah, call it what you want to just don’t call Standard ticket prices USD$49.50 to USD249.50. Hahaha I can’t even say it with a straight face! And please don’t call it a stress-free experience. I don’t like your little games. Thankfully I got my code on within the timeframe they promised.

And I’d do it over and over and over again if I could. I’d buy ridiculously expensive tickets to see Taylor Swift any day. Please don’t blame me, love made me crazy for Taylor. If your love for TSwift doesn’t make you at least a little bit insane than you ain’t doing it right. For her, I would cross the line, I would waste my money I would lose my mind. They say that I’ve gone too far this time. But Taylor, for you, I would fall from grace just to touch your face ‘cause I like you. For all your beautiful traits and the way, you do it with ease. It’s like your eyes are liquor, it’s like your body is gold. I pretend you’re mine, all the damn time. You’re all I want, I’ll never let you go, you are the one I have been waiting for. I love you in spite of the fact that your merch and tickets are super pricey. ‘Cause its gravity. And I will hold on to you.

Then why’s it feel so good? Why’s spending CAD $860.50+ on one evening feel so good? Because I’ve loved Taylor Swift for the past 8 years –and counting. Taylor’s words of wisdom and music have helped me get through the toughest times of my life. For all my flaws, paranoia, and insecurities there’s a Swift song to cheer me up. So, here’s the truth from my red lips. Despite never having been noticed by Taylor I feel as though somehow even in my worst times she could see the best of me and even in my worse light, she saw the truth of me. Taylor has always known just what to say. Whether I was heartbroken or in love she’s always had a song filled with lyrics that I could relate to. She’s my lifeline, the reason I woke up just in time. Thanks to Taylor, I’m doing better than I ever was. I’m finally clean.

Enough with the heavy stuff! I’m pumped, I’m excited, I can’t wait to not only see Taylor for the first time but also attend my very first concert! Go ahead and light me up! I’m already planning my entire outfit for the event. shoes, hair, makeup, jewelry, nails, the works. I’m planning on looking on point for this. The only thing I know for sure is that I’ll be showing up with Taylor’s signature red lips and winged eyeliner that I’ve adopted as my own.
