Do you have any rules for requests?

Thank you for asking and respecting my boundaries!

I do have some that I've started over the course of running this and other writing blogs:

1. I will not write overly Gore, Yandere, or Rape. I might have implied it or have it offscreen in a quick one sentence passage, but these themes make me uncomfortable, so I don't make them main topics. If you send in a request, I'll likely post it with a rejection notice so that others who see it might be willing to pick it up. The only time I won't is if the ask is rude/too detailed.

2. As a personal choice, I don't really enjoy writing multiple crossovers. This means I like to stick to the DC or DP universe's for this blog. Occasionally, I might use elements of a third option, but it's really hard for me to make it work since I'm not putting in an honest effort.

3. My blog has blanket permission on all prompts/chats/requests as long as I'm credited for the original. If you want to reblog and add more, you can. If you want to write an extended fic on another website, you can. If you want to draw based on something I wrote, you can. If you want to post it on tick tok with a voice reader, you can. If you would link me so I can geek out about it, please do so.

4. I don't do tag lists because they are too much of a hassel to keep an eye on. I also don't like seeing such a big wall of usernames. I try to keep my master post organized with the latest updated date on there if you would like to follow the Aus and find all the parts. The index will show you where each Au is organized.

5. I'm twenty-seven years old (I have no money, no prospects, I'm a burn to my parents, and im frighten). This means that while I don't mind getting NSFW asks or implied NSFW jokes/writes, I ask that if your underage DO NOT send them in. It's for both your safety and mine that you don't interact with that material until you're older. (I think I'll post the NSFW stuff on Ao3 as suggested)

6. I'm a multi-shipper. Since none of these charaters are real, I am known for moving them around and changing their circumstances to make pairs. My favorite genres in writing is fantasy and romance, so if you don't like a ship, please understand that it won't stop me from writing it. Unless requested for a gen fic in the ask, I will change almost all prompts into romance because I like reading/writing that kind of stuff.

That's all I can think of on the top of my head. If you sent in an ask and haven't seen it yet, it's because I haven't gotten the time to answer it.

Currently, I am behind by a lot in my inbox but that's mostly due to my final for my 16 week course, my work's audit and end of the fiscal year budget, I have five close family graduations, two weddings and one baby shower all crammed into the same month of May.

I'm also suffering from a bit of writer's blog on some aus.

But I swear I will get to your asks as soon as I can. I'll jump around to try to get past the writer's blog, but once things calm down, I'll go back to the order in which I received the asks.

Inventing a tag game-

What are some side quests you want to do? They can be completely unserious, maybe hobbies you want to pursue sonetime or something utterly outlandish?

I have quite a few. In no particular order-

1. Figure skating. Don't want to compete or anything. Just casually want to be able to do this.

2. Contemporary dance.

3. Being in the orchestra as a background vocalist of atleast 1 Sufjan Stevens song.

4. Leaning how to play the piano, how to crochet and pottery

5. Publishing a poetry collection, a novel and releasing an album in the same year, getting famous enough that I earn enough money to pick up a painting hobby.

6. Major in English Literature with a psychology minor (for context, I'm preparing for med school)

7. Having collections (of fossils, coins etc etc)

8. Giving a ted talk.

9. Owning obsure clothing and jewellery (fish tie, odd graphic tees, knife earrings etc etc)

10. Having a room where every square cenitmeter (METRIC USERS UNITE) has posters or vinyls or plants. Maximalist wet dream.

technically yes, but I just use it to host unlisted videos for embedding, so there's nothing, like, public on it. :') sorry! I basically don't post anywhere except here and occasionally on pixiv (in case it's not obvious, I suck at social media).

Okay but this was worded beautifully until the fossilized point. I do remember when tags were (and still are) used to gain traction. I don't blog to get followers or likes and often my tags are me talking and ranting, but they also are used to organize my thoughts on MY page. I don't blog for others, I blog for myself. Same with tags, I don't tag for others, I tag for myself. Of course I have had a post or two I wanted to get seen to talk about with other people in the fandom but those were mainly when I first really, truly joined the fandom and knew nothing about the 'anti' tag. I've never needed an anti tag because I don't waste my time talking about people I dislike, teen wolf is the only one I've wanted to talk about my dislike of Scott because I know it's a hot topic and I wanted to hear other thoughts on it.

Tbh this person made me dislike him and Scott fans more because how they have approached me numerous times, especially as somebody new in this fandom. If i'm being honest, the way people talk about sterek shippers, I see more of that attitude from Scott fans within the few months I've been here and it's kinda grossed me out how rude they've been (also on tiktok??? I see so many mean and rude Scott fans on tiktok??? Fandom life is alive there though and it's hilarious.)

But thanks for not being a total asshole, sorry for my lack of 'anti' education, chances are I will still 'feel free to' tag how I like because again its MY blog ans I mainly tag for myself on MY personal blog to refer back to.... because to me, if i'm going to talk about scott mccall in a post, i'm going to tag him and the show name, because it's relevant and not tagging everything under the sun, it's literally tagging what is talked about in that post.

"Sterek fandom stayed in their lane" Sterek shippers left character and ship hate in the tags every day I was in the fandom, tried to make every unrelated post about Sterek and/or Stiles and would leave backhanded compliments on fic and fan art about how they would like it better if it was Sterek. They harassed Tyler Posey on social media when his mom was dying of cancer. If you weren't aware of any of that as a Sterek shipper yourself you were either delusional or you just lived in the part of the fandom where you liked everything being about fanon Sterek and never went outside your little toxic bubble.

Yeah, yeah, Writeblr is a community and all that. But I get it.

Some of us have anxiety disorders. Some of us are (or were once) minors on the internet who had it drilled into us to never make our presence known in online spaces lest we get stalked or groomed.

It's okay if interacting is outside of your comfort zone.

Some of us aren't actually on tumblr enough to make making a Writeblr intro worth it.

Some of us prefer to take a few months, maybe years, observing the community to learn the rules. And let's face it, there is a huge learning curve to Tumblr culture. I came here from Pinterest in like 2018 and hooo boy was it intimidating!

Like, I was that 17 year old pinterest lurker with an anxiety disorder who was taught that internet safety meant "never comment on anything" who took a few years before I felt comfortable enough with tumblr culture to reblog things with tags, let alone make public posts.

So I guess what I am saying is, I can't judge. Because I've been there.

Writeblr is a community. And the community (for me) is the best part. And remember that if you don't contribute to the community you don't get to complain about it either. But this is also a public space. Silent observers are to be expected. And on my blog you are welcome.

I think I'm going to have to go with tumblr, and it's not just because we're here. Twitter and Bluesky are nice and my experiences on both are overwhelmingly positive. But tumblr has an atmosphere that encourages originality, sharing your creations and talking about things in depth.

Let me pose a thought experiment to you.

You are a powerful reality-warper who has the ability to mind-control people, travel through space unaided, survive almost any physical conditions, and change shape at will (though you have to go through a year-or-so long process to change what those forms are). You can, essentially, do anything you want. Except this is also true of everyone else around you, because this is just kind of how your species is built. (Everyone isn't necessarily built like this, of course - aliens are aliens. Some aliens are much more powerful reality-warpers, and some are much less, or they don't warp reality at all.)

You want Ultimate Power™.

There are only a few ways to get it, because mind-control is frowned upon for political expedience in the broader galaxy, and there are more than enough people hitting above your weight class that you can't just waltz in, force people to agree with your whims, and walk out with Ultimate Power™. You'll get thrown into the Space Hague in like, five minutes, if someone doesn't outright kill you for the insolence. Not everyone can shake it off, but enough people can, when you're getting into the realms of Ultimate Power™

Similar laws govern the legality of using mind-control to rig elections and semi-legally get you involved in the political arenas that get you involved in Near-Ultimate Power (which is, natch, good enough for you). You can't do that either.

If you really want Ultimate Power™, you have to work with a coalition, which is true of basically everyone after Ultimate Power™. This isn't the end of the world. Having a coalition working for Mutual Ultimate Power™ means that you guys can all share in the spoils, once you have them. The problem is still having them. Even working together, it's still difficult to successfully grab and hold power, isn't it?

There are very few ways to take power, and doing it legitimately is a sucker's game. The only accessible pathway to true power is through building a majority party that will acquiesce to your demands within a pre-existing intergalactic governing body of planetary and planet-system governments (we'll call it the Inter-Galactic Senate, ISG for short; this is backstage so no names are set in stone). Representatives in the ISG get their votes for each member state they represesnt. You want to gain position in the ISG by being "elected" as a representative. You can be the representative for multiple planets or planetary systems, but pretty much every member so far is already spoken for.

The obvious move is to find a non-member planet with aliens on it and convince them to elect you their ISG representative. Or, you know, "convince", and, you know, "elect". Heh heh. Whatever gets you your Ultimate Power™.

And naturally - the more the merrier. Every planet you can pull under your sway gets you a little closer to the goal.

Any overt use of mind-control will still get you tossed into the Space Hague.

You have essentially-unlimited material resources, including money for mercenaries, aid, and organizations. You have all the time in the world.

There are only two conditions.

You cannot appear "evil" (no force-backed dictatorships beating votes in favor out of people)

These people must not only back you at exactly the right moment, but every other time they're called upon, they must always stay in support of you.

Wiggly-Worm Wednesdayyyy 🧠🪱

It's wiggly Wednesday again - time to share a recent brainworm and tag your friends to do the same!

I got tagged by the absolutely wonderful @carolperkinsexgirlfriend! Thanks Koko! I have so many brain worms happening all the time always and I never like... just open a new post and chat about it.

Anyways, current brain worm is that Steve engages in Eddie's hobbies in fic all the time, but we don't see many fic where it's the other way around. So, like the nebulous fic idea in my brain is the traditional start - Steve wants Eddie to do something jockish and Eddie doesn't want to. They fight about it, and Steve's like "I never get to do the things I like because we always have to do the things you like" and Eddie, defensive asshole that he is, says "then do the things you like without me! Why do I have to be involved?" and Steve looks like Eddie's just slapped him. Eddie doesn't feel very great about this argument anymore, but they end on an 'agreement' that Eddie thinks is okay: neither of them will engage in a hobby that they, themselves, don't actually participate in and just do things together they both like.

This seems fine until it's been like 2 weeks and Eddie's seen his boyfriend only twice without having another person (or several people) around as well. Fic would go into detail about when Eddie has and hasn't seen Steve and he feels sad about missing him but Eddie's a dumb boy in his first ever relationship so he doesn't know how to deal with that emotion, so he just gets mad and, again, defensive.

Something something confrontation where Eddie asks if they should even be together because Steve doesn't want to be around him and Steve has to be like "you told me not to! It was your fucking line drawn in the sand! I do want to come listen to your practice, and I do want to watch you obliterate Mike's character for the millionth time, but you said if I didn't participate, I couldn't go. So, I didn't. And I wanted you to come do things with me, but you don't 'participate' in my hobbies, so I didn't bother to ask you."

And Eddie learns that Steve's just been hanging out with Robin and Lucas a lot, going for hikes, or playing basketball, or some other jock activity, and that Steve's spent more time with his uncle and Jim fucking Hopper because they watch sports on the TV together.

Fic ends with them talking it out, Steve confessing that he was worried that Eddie not liking any of his hobbies was just the first step to Eddie realizing that he doesn't even actually like Steve. They work it all out, end on a happy note with maybe Eddie joining Steve and Wayne the next time they watch a game on TV because he doesn't have to like [insert sport here] to enjoy the chance to snuggle his boyfriend on a couch.

I'm gonna write the fic one of these day, but until then enjoy this lil look at it!

I’ve seen some comparisons between M*A*S*H and Severance on here so I thought I’d put in my two (entirely predictable) cents: Milchick and Frank Burns are compelling to me for largely the same reason. They both put their all into upholding an oppressive institution that will never care for them and is, in fact, actively hurting them. They do it at the expense of others and at the expense of themself and yet they still want to be liked. They both climb the ladder and step on everyone in their way and it isn’t enough! They’re still not valued!

The huge difference between them is that Milchick is intelligent and self-aware. He KNOWS Lumon is trying to get him to extinguish his own personality, it upsets him, and he still complies. He’s uncomfortable with the blackfaced Kier paintings, and he still accepts them graciously. He knows damn well that the waterfall is NOT the tallest in the world but he still plays his role. I REALLY want to see Milchick break. I want to know at what point he can no longer put up with Lumon’s shit. But conversely, I think it would be fascinating if he broke the other way, with Lumon finally draining all the fight out of him. I don’t want that for him because I like him and he has a cool mustache, but I dare say the story is more important than that. I also want to know what exactly his goal is and what he thinks he’s getting by obeying Lumon.
