I SAID I wanted to talk about Aisha:

It's been theorized that Aisha doesn't want to be a princess. I strongly disagree. She takes her role as the princess of Andros extremely seriously, and imo she clearly WANTS to be a good ruler. Yes, she snuck out to dance sometimes and refused her arranged marriage, but that NEVER stopped her from doing her Princess Duties, and she doesn't have baggage around the decorum of her station. She deploys it effortlessly when beneficial and takes it off just as easily. She drops everything at a moment's notice to return to Andros at the slightest sign of trouble to Be Their Princess

She is DEVOTED and LOYAL. Like, maybe the most of all the winx? She knew Flora for like, a week, and that was enough friendship currency for her to BREAK INTO HELIA'S ROOM AND PAW THROUGH HIS SHIT. Yeah Stella committed identity fraud for Bloom on day 1, but that's Stella. Aisha is responsible! Considers her actions carefully! EXCEPT when a friend needs a favor

That devotion includes her parents. Aisha's respect for her mother is paramount, even after the betrothal fiasco, and that's not just a passive thing. She proudly says "source: my mother told me and she's NEVER wrong" in class. I really wish we got to see more of Aisha's relationship with her parents

She knows a lot about poetry and speaks many languages. Again, I just wish we saw more of this

Her royal education doesn't seem to include magic? Which is SUPER interesting to me. Every other princess we meet except Diaspro is canonically some kind of magic student, but Aisha seems self-taught. While every other princess in the magic dimension is learning to be a fairy or sorceress, the princess of Andros is learning diplomacy, fencing, languages, poetry, dancing, etiquette. That says a lot about Androssi royalty!

I feel like Aisha is often flattened as 'the strong one' (and I do have personal beef w/ how people incorporate that into her design- she's sporty, not a bodybuilder. Dancing, motorcycling, and surfing are not activities that lend themselves to big bulky biceps!!) and I really think that's a boring disservice to her. IMO she's the sort of person who would really appreciate and treasure little friendship tokens, and spend a lot of time just. Trying to do nice things for the winx, and solve their problems. She treasures quiet time spent together.

Helia loving her (despite Aisha thinking he's a loser) because she knows a lot of philosophy and has a good command over her Vibes. Her and Brandon Doing Sports together bc the other Winx aren't interested and the other specialists annoy her too much, and them becoming catty frenemies. Aisha knowing about the history of Domino and the legend of the Dragon Fire, and bonding with Bloom over it. Bloom drawing a picture of the Winx together and Aisha keeping it forever. Aisha still being scared of the dark and Stella giving her a magical light. Musa helping Aisha plan something special to celebrate the Day of the Rose. Tecna Musa and Aisha bonding over the difficulty they have being openly emotional. Flora and Aisha fretting over eachother's well-being and bonding over their shared sense of responsibility to their families

Our wedding festivities have begun at last. I was very surprised when Astarion announced that we would have a royal Silevrenian wedding. I had resigned myself to never seeing my kingdom again. Thankfully, Rolan was more than happy to send us to Silevren, so long as we promised to bring back a wedding favor for him. Astarion said we could have just forced his hand, but I would much rather be in the Ramazith Tower’s good graces.

Before we left, I disguised my eye color and hid my fangs with a simple spell, but I think Aelia caught on that something was different. I suppose we aren’t twins for nothing; I just have to make it through this tenday.

My family is wary of Astarion. Mother pulled me aside on the first day and commented on his crimson eyes and sharp fangs. The concern in her eyes wounded my very soul. I reassured her that I would be fine, but truthfully, I don’t know if I will be. They have been very cordial in his presence so far, but I cannot help but worry. Astarion will not hide who he is from them and I’m not sure how they are feeling about his…nature.

Nevertheless, it is too late to turn back. We will make our vows before our loved ones, then we will make our vows before each other, Corellon Larethian, and the Oak Father. I cannot falter.

I overheard a servant gossiping that Astarion had spent time secretly embroidering the blue roses into my dress. I had assumed he had commissioned a seamstress to do it, hearing that he did it himself…I was beside myself with joy. It is such a shame I can never tell him I know the truth. The blow to his pride would be far too great.

Baby’s breath, heliotrope,and irises made up the flower crown he gave to me as part of the first day tradition. I am sure he just had a servant pick out flowers; after all, he had once said, “flowers are so overrated. They’re bright, gaudy, and almost never make good poisons.” Surely, he couldn’t have known what their meanings were, but I cannot deny that my heart fluttered. After all, everlasting love, devotion, and trust - things I thought the Rite had taken from us were woven together in a symbol of our union.

For my part, I placed atop his head a crown of red roses, honeysuckle, and amaryllis. Though I dare not hope he is familiar with the language of flowers, it was imperative to me that I at least express my feelings on what will be the most memorable days of my life.

I had just hoped they would be the happiest ones.

Such were the vows they had shared over three centuries ago in front of his consort’s family and their friends, upheld for three centuries. True to her word, while she seemed to have grown more and more withdrawn over the years, she never attempted to actually leave his side. There was only one incident early into their marriage where he hadn’t been able to find her. She had explained that she had been deep in trance, not hearing him arrive home, and that was why she didn’t greet him at the door. He still wasn’t sure he believed her, but she had dutifully met him at the threshold the moment he returned every single day ever since. Even when she barely looked at him.

Astarion tightened his hold on his consort, trying to shake free of that terrible memory. He would see her back to her old self. She’d come back to him, fully. It was an inevitability.

Of all the tools at his disposal, his body had always been the most effective…and the only way he really knew how to express himself. When words failed him, surely he could get his feelings across another way?

"Astari-" he cut her off by crushing his lips to hers, pulling her slender frame against his own.

She stiffened initially, but melted just a moment later into his touch. Over three centuries of lovemaking led their bodies to slot together as perfect puzzle pieces.

He reached up to cup one of her soft breasts, running his thumb over its peak. “My treasure, you-”

Clack. Clack. Clack.

An incessant tapping grated on his ears. The Ascendant gritted his teeth.

With a low growl, he waved his unoccupied hand, parting the curtains. A large brown owl hovered outside their window, rapping its beak frantically against the glass.

“Who…?” his consort murmured from his embrace, raising her head to peer at the bird.

His fingers itched to just close the curtains again, but Stella was already gently extracting herself from his arms and swinging the window open. Astarion clenched his jaw, but forced his body to still. It was too late to stop her.

The owl’s feathers rippled and grew into flesh, Halsin now standing where had once been the large bird.

“Pardon the interruption,” the Archdruid rumbled, rolling his shoulders back.

“I sent a servant to tell you to leave, yet you trespass into my consort’s garden. I allow you to live slightly longer by ignoring you, and now you interrupt us. Tell me, exactly why should I not simply kill you where you stand?” Astarion hissed, a hand flying to Crimson Mischief on his side.

“I assure you, I would not have done so, had it not been urgent. I received word from Francesca of the High Forest that there has been a strange army of sorts marching towards Baldur’s Gate. More specifically, their leader seems to be a vampire by the name of Lady Incognita. I would have sent word by carrier pigeon, but I was unsure how far her influence extends. I feared the letter could have gotten compromised.” Halsin held up his arms in a placating gesture.

Another vampire coming towards his city? Preposterous. This “Lady Incognita” surely had a death wish. Astarion furrowed his brow. The name sounded vaguely familiar, but just where had he heard it before?

“Lady Incognita… Amanita Szarr?” Stella gasped, hands flying to her face.

“...Who?” Though the last name was all too familiar, Astarion struggled to recall an “Amanita”.

“The author of the letters in the attic of the Palace, all those years ago.” she wrung her hands, ruby eyes filled with fear.

Why was his treasure so afraid?

“I am the strongest vampire to ever walk this land. Let them come. They will meet their end,” he declared, arms spread wide.

He had spent so long carefully maneuvering politically. All of Baldur’s Gate danced like marionettes on his strings. Since he had married into the Silevren royal family, he even had his fingers in another kingdom’s politics as well. A bloody battle like this one was sure to be an exhilarating change of pace. Lady Incognita would be no match for his powers. He had spent the past three centuries exploring everything a Vampire Ascendant could do.

Halsin frowned, turning to the Ascendant’s consort instead. “I was concerned for your wellbeing, little bluejay. They will not spare anyone in the castle.”

“Halsin…please, don’t call me that.” Stella lowered her eyes, almost shrinking behind Astarion.

“My apologies. I do not mean to overstep. I simply wanted you to know that danger is coming.”

“Will you help us? Stand with us?” she reached out to the Archdruid, though Astarion grabbed her arm before she could touch Halsin’s.

She froze immediately. “S-Sorry, my lord.”

Something within his chest twisted. Why was there such a difference in how his consort treated them? Did he not shower her with affection? He knew she had once had a romantic connection with Halsin, even permitted it. But after his ascension, she had spent even more time with the other Druid than before. Despite that, after the Netherbrain’s defeat, barring the reunions and other special occasions that would cross their paths once more, his consort had not once left the castle to go visit, nor even requested to do so.

Astarion didn’t understand.

Pulling her into his arms protectively, he drawled at the other man, “Your warning has been heard. Now, leave us.”

Stella remained silent, staring down at the plush crimson carpet beneath her sapphire-encrusted slippers. His most recent present to her, aside from the flower garden outside.

Halsin sighed, running a hand through his brown locks, now speckled with gray. “Unfortunately, I cannot aid you in this upcoming battle. I…”

The Archdruid seemed to be at war with himself, yet ignored Astarion’s demand to leave.

“There is… a natural order that I am duty bound to protect. Lady Incognita seeks to re-establish this natural order. Thus, I cannot interfere. But alas, I could also not sit idly by without warning you of her incoming attack.”

Annoyance coursed through him, though he couldn’t quite fathom why. Nonetheless, he knew he wanted Halsin gone from his castle. “If you aren’t here to help, then leave,” Astarion snapped.

The Ascendant could sense his wife’s objection to his words through their bond, but still she said nothing.

Halsin nodded. “I will take my leave soon, but there is one more thing I wanted to tell you.”

The Wood Elf leveled a gaze at Stella.

“I had once told you that I wished for you to be able to spread your wings, if you so desired. It seems it is as I feared. He has caged you. The harmless game has become all too real.”

How dare he? In a flash, Astarion’s hand was wrapped around Halsin’s throat and slamming him against the wall. The surface cracked from the sheer force. He bared his fangs, fully ready to rip out the larger man’s throat.

“Starry, please!” Stella cried out, rushing towards them. Her cold, thin fingers gently curled around his arm.

“You dare barge into our home and then accuse me of mistreating my consort?!”

Crimson filled his vision, and he couldn’t hear anything over the cacophony of his thoughts shrieking out the deepest fears he’d always shoved away.

Halsin was trying to take away his treasure. His Stella. His consort.

He would not let that happen.

The roaring in his ears turned out to be his own shouts.

His eyesight cleared.

A mangled body lay still before him.

Kieran was born in Antioch and grew up in a dilapidated home. Both physically and emotionally. His mother, a heroin addict, withered away while he raised himself and his sister. He still remembers how their house smelled. Especially the rotting stuff in the fridge. Kieran never had the opportunity to be a typical child since he had to work whenever he could in order to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads. As a result, he became bitter and despised his existence. He had a special loathing for his mother for depriving him of any sense of childhood and innocence. When he was 14 years old and felt imprisoned, so when he discovered her on the bathroom floor with a needle in her arm and choking on her own vomit, he stood and watched. Kieran and his sister were taken up by social services and separated for years. He didn't find her until he was 19, when he became her legal guardian.

Even though he never went to school, Kieran managed to get his GED with minimal effort. He’s always been too smart for his own good and it’s this intelligence and self awareness that also turned him into a very unemotional and detached individual. Doesn’t mean he’s not able to fake things well. He discovered that he had an act for not only reading people but influencing them. And so he decided to get a degree in psychology and start his own practice.

Meeting John Weaver was, interesting. He had recently lost his job and was suffering from what Kieran believed to be paranoid delusions. And yet, there was something about the way he spoke that seemed incredibly lucid. It did not take much convincing for Kieran to join the Stellar Society, but not because he fully believed in its message. Kieran's devotion to the cult does not stem from his belief for he has never believed in anything other than his own will. But he did find something in the cult that he could not find anywhere else - control.

Because he's a chameleon, able to shift into whatever he needs to be as long as it benefits him, he became an exceptional follower. Which included getting his hands dirty without one inch of remorse. His hands will forever be red. This allowed him to move up the ranks until he eventually became the Stellar Society's official recruiter. His job makes it easy to find vulnerable people that he can exploit and when he finds one, he passes the information to his leader. Once he gets the green light, he starts painting a pretty picture inside the mind of his patient and convinces them to join.

PERSONALITY

Inside Kieran's mind, there are shadows and long extending hallways. Everything he knows about human relationships he mimics from movies, magazines, books, television, not real instances he has experienced in his life. He studies people’s reactions, facial expressions, body language and then spends time practicing in the mirror until he can convince himself that he can pass for a human being and not a carbon copy of one. Something who does not belong on this earth. Something foreign, abstract, squared, black. Kieran learned at a very young age how to manipulate people's emotions to his advantage. If he needed to cry for forgiveness, then he'd do it. He had an act for turning things around with lies and manipulation, to the point where the people he wronged would eventually ask for his forgiveness, firmly believing that he was victim.

He's never been much for love. Has no use for it. Thinking about it puts an odd taste in his mouth; something like overly chlorinated water. The entire feeling he gets from seeing happily wed couples is something similar to everyone around you experiencing the fullness of the third dimension, and you’re stuck in the second; only getting the third by a sanctioned piece at a time. Yet he is very good at pretending. At smiling and regurgitating all the romantic nonsense like word vomit.

There is nothing in there. He cares because he has to. He shows emotions because it's what society expects of him. But in reality, he feels nothing. Nothing is genuine.

Wanted Connection #1: His sister who is three years younger than him but has a childlike personality. Mostly because she has been babied most of her life and Kieran treats her like she's can't do a thing on her own. So she is quite dependent on him. There is nothing wrong with her, but he has convinced her that there is, always referring to it as "your condition".

WHAT TYPE OF “I LOVE YOU” ARE YOU?

i love you, i’ve always loved you, i will always love you

it’s commitment, it’s devotion, it goes often without saying, but is felt nonetheless. it’s accepting that you would travel to hell and back for them if they asked and knowing that they would do the same for you. it’s an old ache, long after they’ve burrowed deep into your chest and settled there like a weight- grounding, an anchor point. even when you’re apart, you can still feel the shape of them, it’s like phantom pain. neither of you can help but succumb to the other’s gravity, yet neither of you fear the collision. it means that you trust them, that they make you feel safe, that they feel like home.

An essay

People who support Stella like to use the pro shipper logic, that liking Fiction doesn’t support irl action, and how it doesn’t affect anyone.

However, this simply isn’t the case, and in this essay I’ll explain why, because apparently people can’t comprehend how supporting an abusive toxic woman in fiction and outwardly applauding it is gross.

Pro shippers listen up as well.

In order for this to be as thorough as possible, we need to establish Romanticization vs study, and comedic effect.

Romanticizing something is to “deal with or describe in an idealized or unrealistic fashion; make (something) seem better or more appealing than it really is.” (-Oxford Languages dictionary.) whereas a study or character examination is “1 : analysis or portrayal in literature of the traits of character of an individual. 2a : a brief narrative or sketch devoted primarily to character study.” (-Merriam Webster)

A good example of these two different projections is Bojack Horseman vs 13 reasons why. Both deal with subjects of depression and suicide, along with drugs and numerous sexual themes, but

Bojack horseman is a character study,

13 reasons why is a romanticization.

The reason this is important is because it explains how portrayal affects opinion. This is why we can have horror movies about serial killers doing horrible things, and causing destruction in their wake, and people will be fine.

When people portray horrible shit, like r*pe, torture, murder, espionage etc, they portray it in a very specific fashion. 

When portraying those topics, it’s important to establish why we’re witnessing it, and how it affects the story and how we perceive the rest of the series/movie/book. Most of the time, with subjects like this, it’s established that it’s not a good thing.

Another good example of romanticization versus character study is the joker.

Joker (2019) is a character study, it shows a nuanced take on someone who’s jaded, and mentally ill, and takes it out on society. It portrays The Joker as a dysfunctional and dangerous person, who needs help. The movie focuses very heavily on the mental illness and societal prospects, rather than trying to make them seem appealing. People love this movie (just like I do) because of how it portrays him.

Now, the suicide squad joker is a romanticization. He’s shown as an attractive and sexy psycho, who takes and uses to his advantage. When he kills, it’s seen as cool or it’s played off. People hate this movie because of how romanticized the joker is. 

It’s the same reason why horror movies are still such a huge thing, when they portray murderers, r*pists, or horrible people in general, there’s usually a consensus that the antagonist of the movie is in the wrong. 

People romanticize Stella’s abuse, but hold Stolas to the opposite standard. 

Comedic effect is when people use intense or serious situations and make light of them for hilarity sake.

Helluva boss uses comedic elements in tune with character studies.

As for Amber Bird, their support for her is romanticizing her actions. There’s a difference between enjoying the nuance and toxicity of a character for character sake, verses supporting them and excusing their actions. You can like characters that are toxic, that do horrible things, but don’t portray them as a flawless victim or someone whose actions were justified.

For example: Slashers. 

People LOVE slashers from films and games, have fanart and entire thirst blogs dedicated to them, but understand the character is fucking deranged and will/would kill them if they had a chance. They don’t try to justify their murders (atleast seriously). They enjoy the character as a character, but accept the character is not a good person.

Stella supporters don’t do that. And I also think there’s a difference between the extremes.

Murder isn’t held to the same standard due to its extreme nature. Abuse is something that happens everyday to several people, murder is less likely to happen. Hence why people are more angry at her attempt to hit him and her emotional/verbal abuse than her calling a hit on him.

When you support and defend an abuser, you’re setting a precedent that it’s okay, where it isn’t. 

Pro shippers and Stella Stans alike have this problem, where they portray their character or relationship in a positive light, which leads to toxic mindsets and sets a negative precedent.

Enjoy a character but don’t try and make them better than they are.

He uses another personality, a completely ruthless one, even if he doesn't like it and hates himself for it, he doesn't see another way to deal with his fear, allowing his "new self" to consume himself. ("I'd wear that mask of my own face" "I look into my eyeholes and what do I see? A handsome motherfucker motherfucking looking back at me")

I'm a Murderer-Freddie Dredd: Mostly vibes ("I'm a motherfucking murderer")

'Cause I'm a Liar-Mcki Robyns-P: He would lie just for fun even in serious situations. If he needs to manipulate someone to survive, he'll do it his way, after all, he doesn't care anymore, he just seeks for excitement. ("Without emotion, without devotion. It's much easier to fake something happy")

I Disagree-Poppy: I don't know exactly how to describe it, but I feel like this is how he sees and feels the world and those around him, feeling misunderstood and going his own way ("If only all of you could see the world I see, then maybe everyone could live in harmony")

Personal Jesus-Mindless Self Indulgence: He has a superiority complex, that's for sure. I don't think he sees himself as a god, but I see him joking about it

Frontier Psychiatrist-The Avalanches: I kinda see this as Aguni taking the role of Niragi's "father figure" inside the borderlands, realizing he's turning insane and is unable to control him ("That boy needs therapy")

Hate it. Hate it. "JIGAHIDAI!"-WADATAKEAKI Kurage P: Jealousy. I can see it either in a pre-borderland situation where he hates the popular students in school, or inside the borderlands hating both Chishiya and Arisu. Jealousy takes over him constructing a big ego, causing himself to develop his superiority complex ("You see, I hate that popular girl!" "Does she think I don't notice? How she looks at me as if I'm trash" "I want to be praised" "I'm different from you all, I have my own ego! I'm not a side character" "I have zero common sense. I'm special")

Villain-Stella Jang: He knows damn well he's a villain, that's his goal after all, but what if someone took his point of view? wouldn't the villains be all of those who hurted him in the first place? ("We all pretend to be the heroes on the good side, but what if we are the villains on the other")

Violent-carolesdaughter: This is how I view an argument inside a relationship with Niragi. He's used to violence, to cause fear, and getting what he wants, so being in a healthy relationship would require a lot of patience and strenght. While he's getting better and suppressing those violent actions, there will be times where he accidentally uses violence or threatens the other person unintentionally, mostly hurting himself and his partner psychologically. The lyrics change between both points of view ("Don't make me get violent, I want my ring back baby that's a diamond" "She knows I'm a wreck" "I gave you all my trust and I told you just don't break it")

Hey Bunny-Baby Bugs: Based on how I think it would feel to partner up with him inside the borderlands and catching feelings for him while knowing the huge mess he is ("Hey bunny, what's with those evil eyes?" "Hey bunny, what the hell is wrong with us?" "Hey bunny, what if I loose you too? If I become the monster, together we can always be blue")

Kokoronashi-majiko: I'm pretty sure Niragi isn't able to see himself as someone able to love, even if he doesn't want to be alone (just like when he confesses this feeling while fighting with Chishiya and Arisu). If someone truly loved him and was willing to not letting him go, it would hurt. He can't see himself as someone who can love or be loved, so he can't accept the love he's seeking for in case that turns him "weaker" making his true self confront with the protective mean personality he's created. He could learn how to accept it, so he might want the other person to stay in the end, but it wouldn't be easy for him to accept it ("It's awful, I'd rather you destroy my body, tear it to sheds, do as you please" "No matter how much I'm loved by you, my heart is just one" "I don't know this, don't leave me alone")

Problematic-Bo Burnham: Him acknowledging his problematic actions but not wanting to apologize because he doesn't feel the need to. He knows he's done bad things but he is going to laugh at it and be a sarcastic mf about it

First Love/Late Spring-Mitski: Similar to Kokoronashi, he wouldn't be able to accept love and how it makes him feel. He would think that he prefers for everyone to hate him and be lonely instead of sacrificing his tougher side. Stella’s eyes are blue; people do tend to notice the color of her eyes, especially in the right lighting. It was one of the first things that caught Daniel’s eye about her. The one thing that makes them ‘special’ is that Stella expresses a lot of emotion through her eyes. he face can hide her emotion, but usually her eyes can’t.

food & drinks - 🍩 DONUT - favourite sweet treat?

She loves eclairs. A rather fancy dessert- but it is one she enjoys a lot. Eclairs or apple pie. Don’t ask her to choose cause she can’t.

the bouquet:  Oakleaf Hydrangeas,  Spanish Lavender, Sunflowers, and Gardenia. 

the meanings:  Oakleaf Hydrangeas; Purple: a desire to deeply understand someone,  Spanish Lavender;  purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace, and calmness,  Sunflowers;  adoration, loyalty and longevity, And  Gardenia;  purity and gentleness.

Stella Loves Gardenia. She finds them rather beautiful, but Her favorite flower is just Lavender.

Estella can indeed swim, she can swim very well. She wouldn’t be opposed to swimming in the ocean at all.

Stella will do anything for someone she deeply cares about. She is also very weak for children. Those two things are about the only things I can see her stepping out for. She doesn’t budge easy, and she really doesn’t have anyone to call family anymore. But on the fair chance a child or someone she developed  a great care for was in danger she would drop everything. Risk it all.

Stella can indeed ride a bike. She doesn’t remember a lot, just her dad telling her when she fell to get up, brush off, and try again.

Estella acts like getting rid of Daniel was the easiest thing in the world for her, but for a little while she allowed him to manipulate her into staying in his bed with him on nights she was particularly sad and lonely without him. Which made it really, really hard for her to fully cut ties when she finally did.

BLOOM AND SKY:  so bloom and sky aren’t the most stable couple, and in my version it would take bloom a little longer to be ok with dating a prince. Bloom is fairly insecure in her relationships because of self worth issues, and tend to run away from problems instead of dealing with them. Sky on the other hand is confident but doesn’t really know how to handle people’s feelings and tends to push confrontation. Bloom is also prefers to move a little slower than Sky would maybe prefer, like he’s good with their relationship and tries not to push Bloom or make her upset but he’d probably like to be married already lol. Bloom and Sky have figured out that if they’re having conflict issues, one of the best things to do is for them to write out whats bothering them and send letters/texts/emails back and forth. This gives Bloom a safe space and time to process her emotions, and lets Sky express his opinion with out getting to intense and pushing for Bloom to talk to him. They’ve taken to doing this with non-conflict thingies too, like its not out of the norm for Sky to receive a wax sealed envelope with a beautifully calligraphied message on parchment that simply says Bloom saw a super fluffy dog that day lol

STELLA AND BRANDON:  They love each other so much its the best omg. Stella finds her worth in her appearance but she always seems to take Brandon’s complements in a less…. arrogant way? if that makes sense? like she truly appreciates them and wants his support. I wish we knew more about Brandon but he’s legit such a good boyfriend. I think they fight mostly when Stella is being a little selfish, or when Brandon is too busy to meet her emotional needs. I think Brandon and Stella are the kind of couple that could be married for years and still feel like they’re on their honeymoon, They would probably get married because of societal pressure but if Stella wasn’t a princess they wouldn’t bother with the ceremony since it wouldn’t change their devotion to each other. They flirt with other people pretty casually but neither would EVER cheat or go any further than idle compliments. Stella’s fear of being alone/disliked is still present, but Brandon will generally just pick up some chocolate, put on a movie and let Stella do his nails or hair or make-up whenever she’s feeling down. Stella was perfectly fine with Brandon not being a prince, she came to terms with the situation a lot faster than Bloom did. However, she does try to make sure Brandon knows she’s with him for him. One of Stella’s main love languages is gifts, and Brandon does appreciate it, but his main love language is actually acts of service, so sometimes he feels a little underappreciated (if Stella doesn’t pick up on this Sky will and let her know). In which case Stella will sneakily figure out what he needs and will take care of it (shopping for a new coat? done. its super flattering and makes his eyes pop. mess hall cleaning duty at Red Fountain? she’ll do it(with some magical assistance). he doesn’t have time to make himself lunch? she will try her best but it might be safer for her to order him some take out) Like Stella is silly, excitable, and can be self centered but she loves her people and wants to make sure they know that.

FLORA AND HELIA:  So Helia is more of a drama queen in the comics but we’ll ignore that for right now lol. Flora and Helia are probably the least problematic couple in the entire show. They met. Flirted a little. Confessed. and started dating with out any major problems. I think both Helia and Flora’s love language is quality time so they’re fairly low key and just like to be in the same space with each other. Unfortunately their issues stem from both of them being passive aggressive. Like Flora doesn’t want to cause problems or upset anyone, and Helia just doesn’t freaking talk. This can lead to slow simmering fights that build until one of them blows up. They learn to catch the signs of that starting earlier and earlier tho, so they’re both learning its better to bring up an issue earlier if its gonna be a problem later. Flora thinks Helia would be happier as a full time artist than as a warrior or mage, but knows he needs to come to his own conclusion.

TECNA AND TIMMY:  They’re super cute honestly. I think Timmy was probably the one to instigate the relationship and bonded with Tecna over technology since she wasn’t super emotionally available at first. They have issues when Tecna is unable to voice her emotions and Timmy needs to know what she’s feeling mostly, but after the first few times they’ve both learned to give the other space to figure their stuff out. Timmy will ask Tecna to use Emoji’s if she’s having a really difficult time figuring out what she’s feeling. He knows its not fair to Tecna but Timmy sometimes feels a little resentful because she’s had a fairly easy life, access to top rate tech, rich parents, stable environment, and barely had to study, while Timmy scrapped and saved and had to learn fast because of his environment.(his home isn’t exactly unsafe, but asteroid colonies are nomadic by nature which mean a certain level of instability is part of living in one)  

MUSA AND RIVEN:  Ok so, ignoring the several times Riven was LITERALLY MIND CONTROLLED his character is still difficult to deal with. I think Musa and Riven are both very intense people, and while that can be super fun and develop into a good relationship, it can also lead to LOTS of problems. For their relationship, I think they wouldn’t even start dating until like season 3 era at the earliest.(this is partially why season 4 is so rough for them, its a new relationship) a lot of their issues would stem from their attachment issues and how they respond to insecurity. Riven’s mom left him, just fucking dropped out of his life while he was a young kid, leaving him with an emotionally distant and dismissive father he could never please. So Riven responds by pushing people away before they can reject him, becoming controlling, or dismissing them in anger and pretending not to care about their opinion. Musa’s mother was taken away from her by illness.  I think it happened in Musa’s early teens, since it’s clearly still a tender subject in the first season. A parents death is painful no matter the circumstance, but a sickness that slowly steals the person you love away from you must be incredibly painful. As a result, Musa experience a lot of anxiety about the people she loves leaving her(whether by their choice or not), and becomes clingy, emotionally demanding, and sensitive. When Riven pushes her away to protect himself Musa tries to force her way back to him, when Musa wants Riven to act certain way or do something to ease her anxiety (even if its irrational and she is at fault) Riven dismisses her needs because it means he can keep himself safe from failure. They have similar problems but the way they respond to it ends up escalating every issue. They do eventually grow and become vulnerable with each other, Riven tries to express his affection more(even if it’s not through words) instead of hiding them in fear of rejection, and Musa tries to explain when her feelings are hurt more clearly instead of just assuming Riven knows what he did wrong. They also clash a bit over parentage, both only have their dads left, but Musa’s is involved and (now)supportive, while Riven’s is still distant. Musa has positive memories of her mother and misses her a lot, but Riven has very few memories and is terribly angry at his mother. I think that Riven still left at the end of season 6, but they didn’t exactly break up, they both recognized that Riven needed some time away from the specialists to work on his own shit and gain confidence in his own skills and self worth, so it turned into a low key long distance thing. (if he hadn’t come back in season 8  they would just decide to break it off but lol he’s back)

AISHA AND NABU:  ugh perfect couple. minus the kind of sketchy beginning lol. Aisha and Nabu generally don’t fight once they get used to each other. Nabu is a focal point that Aisha is kind of bungee corded to if that makes sense? like obviously not in a restricting way. Its just Aisha is hella active/independent and needs her own space to explore and grow, but Nabu is her solid ground that she relies on and always comes back to. Nabu and Aisha are both smart, but Nabu is a little more of a nerd than Aisha and has a lot of book knowledge. Nabu sometimes gets irritated at Aisha’s impulsiveness, he tries to let it go and jump with her sometimes but generally just lets her do her own thing, of course on the other hand, Aisha can get irritated at Nabu’s resistance to change, she knows pestering and pushing him won’t help tho so she tries to slow down and walk through it with him when she can. 

AISHA AND NEX:  So like I said Aisha is an active, independent woman, and if Nabu was a separate, stationary, focal point for her, I think Nex is related, moving, counter point. So like Nex can actually keep up with Aisha, and push her and challenge her. Which isn’t a bad thing in relationships so long as a mutual respect is there. Nex is aggressive and can be hot headed but I think he actually takes life at a slower pace than Aisha who is a master of multitasking. Aisha admires Nex’s drive but wishes he would be a little more directional with it. When they’re not being competitive, they have a very weird calming effect around each other. Aisha and Nex don’t seem to notice this, but the rest of the group picked up on it one day and could not for the life them figure out how two such intense people could have such a chill vibe. 

Daphne and Thoren actually met when they were kids, but didn’t spend much time together because it was at a formal event. Daphne is technically 20 years older than Thoren(only a few years older than Sky), but they’re the same physical age because Daphne spent so long as a spirit. I also like to think Thoren met her as a spirit(with out recognizing her) during his paladin training. They probably wouldn’t get married as quickly in my version, especially with Daphne’s trauma. Daphne was actually receiving physical and mental therapy on Ohm when Thoren visited the planet as part of his paladin duties. They didn’t hit it off right away, but didn’t dislike each other or anything. They actually bonded over scars, Thoren has scars from some paladin related incidents, but also has a scar from when he attempted suicide. Daphne asked him about his first, she eventually explained hers to him but since they were more recent it took a little longer for her to come to terms with what happened to her. Thoren finds her scars beautiful, partially because they’re a part of Daphne, but also because they mean she survived and that she’s healing. Daphne will have nightmares sometimes and Thoren has a whole routine for comforting her and helping her feel safe and grounded. Thoren gets anxious easily, and Daphne will use her magic to subtly change the environment so he feels more comfortable. They like to watch reality tv together and yell at stupid dramatic people. Daphne is terrified of losing her loved ones and can be over protective of Thoren even though he can take care of himself, and Thoren hesitates to ask her to do anything for him because he’s (irrationally)nervous about overwhelming her. In the future, Daphne is a little unsure about asking him to marry her, not because of their relationship, but because he would assume the role of King of Domino and that’s a lot of pressure but they discuss it and work through everything together. Neither of them are good at gardening, but they have a little section of the Domino castle gardens they like to try and grow things in. Thoren also does fine metal work with wires. 

Their families are very pleased with the relationship. Thoren’s mom and Daphne are pretty different but vibe together really well. Thoren and Oritel take up sparing together and Oritel has no problems with Daphne’s choice of partner. Thoren’s dad finds Daphne to be a very fine young lady, though he has concerns that his son is with some one who has so much recent trauma and he worries it’ll kick start Thoren’s depression again. Marion doesn’t think anybody is good enough for her girls but Thoren comes pretty close, Thoren has expressed interest in learning magic, and Marion is eager to teach him, though he may regret letting her once the lessons actually start lol. 

Oritel and Marion like Sky well enough, and they recognize he’s still young and is growing, but they privately think Bloom could do better. Erendor and Samara are concerned about Bloom’s civilian background (how will she handle ruling a kingdom when she has no political training?) and though the Dragon flame would be a huge asset to Eraklyon in power it could also draw unwanted attention and attacks so they’re also concerned about that. But besides those issues, Erendor actually really likes Bloom. Samara.... is very stiff and formal so its hard to tell if she likes Bloom or if she’s just being civil and tolerating her. 

Brandon’s parents LOVE Stella, they think she’s hilarious and cute and they dote on her whenever possible. If Stella and Brandon ever broke up they would probably still invite her to family events and stuff lol. Luna and Radius, when they’re not dealing with their own relationship issues, enjoy Brandon’s company. They kind of wish Stella had chosen a Solarian partner, but its customary to let Solarian children follow their heart and pick their own partner. 

Timmy’s mom hasn’t met Tecna in person, but Timmy talks about her all the time and Timmy’s mom thinks she sounds wonderful. Electronio and Magnethia were unsure of Timmy at first. They ran the numbers through the Zenithian Compatibility and Success in Relationship Indicator and Timmy + Tecna didn’t do so well on paper. However, Tecna was absolutely firm in her decision to be with Timmy even if it didn’t make sense to her parents, which was unusual for her. They like him a lot now, even if they don’t fully understand how he works lol. 

Helia’s dads think Flora is a total catch for Helia like “damn son how did you convince her to date you???” Helia just groans and rolls his eyes. Magic dad likes to talk nature magic with Flora and Warrior dad is always trying to teach her some new self defense tactic when she visits, much to the embarrassment of his son. Alyssa and Rhodos like Helia, even if they think he’s a little out there. Like Flora, they try to encourage his pursuit of art. Miele likes to mess with Helia and pull pranks on him, Helia pretends to be horribly offended but he actually thinks she’s hilarious.

Aisha was a dream match for Nabu’s parents, they cared more about her status as princess than her as a person at first. After Nabu’s death they blamed Aisha and rejected all of her attempts to contact them. In the process of healing, they’ve reached out to her and are trying to appreciate/get to know her as some one their son loved and not just a rung on the social ladder. Aisha’s parents liked Nabu, they didn’t really get to know him very well, but thought he was a smart, capable, and well mannered young man. They saw Aisha was happy with him and left it at that. 

Aisha’s parent’s were less sure of Nex, Andros is a fairly planet centric culture, and Nex, as a Mare Lynphean especially, didn’t quite fit into their Land/Sea dichotomy. Aisha of course, isn’t one to follow social norms if she doesn’t want to. Nex is a little worried about her parents approval, but Aisha insists that the only approval he needs is hers. Niobe and Teredor are currently leaving the relationship as is, knowing fighting Aisha will just make her dig her heels in more. Nex eventually wins them over with his bravery, charm, and devotion to Aisha. When Nex told his parents he was dating a princess, they were kind of surprised. They were also surprised when Aisha turned out to be an athletic, independent, and brash young woman instead of a delicate, dependent, and prissy princess. They absolutely approve and love spending time with her.

Musa hasn’t met Riven’s dad. Riven and his dad aren’t close, they talk maybe once a month and its usually a text from his dad with “update request; academics, physical health, extra curricular, and relationships statuses.” and Riven usually just responds with “update; fuck off.” Riven’s dad does know he’s dating some one but doesn’t have a lot of information. Musa’s dad DID NOT like Riven at first. He didn’t like his look, his reputation, or his attitude. however, Ho-Boe comes from a warrior background, though he prefer(ed)s musical pursuits, he came to respect Riven’s discipline in those areas, and eventually was able to relate to Riven’s rejection of his heritage.  

Bloom and Daphne are a little.... one sided, at least in the beginning. When Bloom first meets Daphne (that she remembers) Daphne isn’t even a real person, she’s a dream or at most a spirit. Even after Bloom learns her name Daphne is a mystery, and its not until like end of season three that they start talking regularly. On Daphne’s side, Bloom was a toddler, and then is suddenly grown up. Daphne still thinks of her like her baby sister, even tho the two of them are, physically, almost the same age now. Daphne also always knew she had a sister, while Bloom thought of herself as an only child for the majority of her life at this point. So while they love each other and get a long pretty well, they have misconceptions and don’t always view the other person as they actually are.

Sure! Stormy likes cream puffs, like A LOT. She owns only dark red lipsticks. She likes doing her makeup but has no patience for her hair, she usually chops a lot of it off every couple months and just lets it do whatever it wants. Stormy has a “worry stone” made of metal she keeps in her pocket. She’s got adhd and Darcy sometimes magically helps calm her brain down when she needs to focus. Stormy of course, loves thunder storms, she gets little electric shivers when they’re getting close. She collects static like nobodies business. Stormy is primarily Omegean and Androsian, tho a little Dominian, Zenithian, and Melodian blood runs through her veins as well. She likes cats. 

yaaaaaaas, ok so I actually gave his dads names finally Vaonaaj dad is Bi’ran (bee-ran) and Lynphean dad is Reed (last name is Deshene). When Helia was born Bi’ran used magic to like float him around and keep him out of trouble and stuff and it annoyed the hell out of Reed (like “for natures sake please don’t hex my son” “im not hexing him its just a floating spell!!”) Reed gave Helia a little sword really early and Bi’ran was appalled ( ”why would you give him a weapon he’s like FIVE” “good he can learn early”) When Helia started to express interest in art his dads were confused af because neither of them have an artistic bone in their bodies. They try to be supportive but honestly have no idea what Helia is doing lol. Helia really wants to please them both so he spent a year at Lynphea College in the basic magic course. When warrior dad(Reed) started to pressure him to learn to fight as well, Helia’s grandfather Saladin offered him a place at Red Fountain, partially because he could see Helia needed his own space to figure himself out and partially because it would appease Reed. Helia was only planning on staying at Red fountain for a year but his relationship with Flora and his friendships with the rest of the group extended his stay. Bi’ran and Reed know they need to let Helia make his own path, but they worry and just want the best for him so they tend to stick to what they know and are comfortable with when advising him(magic and fighting respectively). Bi’ran and Reed have a standing date night every week, and usually they get really out of hand as they try to outdo the other in excitement and romance (dinner and movie one week leads to a 5 course meal and an play the next which leads to a private chef, a one of a kind meal, and an entire theater rented out for a personal performance etc etc etc) until they both realize they’re being ridiculous and promise to keep it simple from then on and the cycle repeats itself. Bi’ran really likes to play with Reed’s hair. Helia always beats them both at card games.

A Picture of Devotion to Linda

If there is one overriding theme that comes over powerfully when talking to Mary McCartney it is how strong a bond of love and respect she had, and has, for her mother Linda. The late American photographer and businesswoman and her husband, the former Beatle, Paul, famously had one of the most enduring love affairs of modern times: she was the proverbial great woman standing, if not behind, then beside, a great man.

But what is abundantly clear from speaking to the couple's daughter, Mary, 38, is that behind both was an uncommonly close and loyal family, a closeness that remains. Earlier this year, to mark a decade since Linda died of breast cancer, Mary and her father unveiled a retrospective in London of Linda's work, which the pair had been working on for three years. Right now, the whole family, including Mary's fashion designer sister Stella, are closely involved in revitalising the Linda McCartney vegetarian food range, something Mary describes as "a very personal project".

In addition Mary, now herself a respected photographer, has become a strong advocate of good cancer care. So when she was approached by Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres to take photographs of famous Maggie's supporters wearing striking, new designer T-shirts, she was delighted to lend her support. The photographs, being published for the first time as part of The Herald Friends of Maggie's campaign, feature celebrities including the actress Amanda Holden, and the singer Sophie Ellis Bextor pictured with her mother, the former Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis, whose friend Caron Keating died of breast cancer in 2004.

Coming together for the photos in the new London Maggie's centre gave McCartney the chance to spend time with staff and patients. She found the whole experience "truly inspiring" and believes her mother would have, too.

"I think she would have loved it," says Mary emphatically. "It feels like it's been designed to keep everyone's spirits up, which I think she would have liked." Thinking about her mother's period of treatment, she recalls strip lighting, a lack of windows and a distinct hospital smell, which Maggie's avoids: "It isn't dull, dark and depressing. There's glass, wood, colour and daylight, it's very open plan. It didn't feel oppressive. It's a real contrast to hospitals - you can allow in so much air and it doesn't have the smell. You walk in and it feels like a well-designed space."

Another factor that would have appealed to the redoubtable Linda, she says, is that it is well run. "I think she probably would have appreciated the organisational aspect of it - it doesn't feel flaky."

When Linda McCartney was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995, it was Mary's first experience of cancer at close hand. Her head was full of questions about this bewildering new visitor to their lives. "It's like learning a new language - chemotherapy, radiotherapy, all the different medicines. It can be very daunting," she says. So the fact that Maggie's centres provide support and information to the families as well as the patient, deeply impresses her. "It's so important. I find that it's the kind of illness where there are always so many decisions to make.

"The day I was at Maggie's, there was a husband there with his wife, collecting the medication for the week, and he was having a consultation with one of the counsellors. He said he saw a counsellor each week. I think he really benefited from it as well. They can help give you information so you can feel more confident about moving forward.

"That's why I feel quite strongly that there should be as many of these centres as possible because they're such a great help to people."

A loving family is a great support and the McCartney family were certainly that. Mary has an elder half-sister from Linda's first marriage, Heather, who was adopted by Paul; a younger sister, Stella, the fashion designer; and a younger brother, James, a musician and songwriter. The family adopted a low profile during Sir Paul McCartney's recent divorce from Heather Mills, which generated weeks of headlines. "I wasn't really surprised by the amount of coverage but I definitely kept out of it. I didn't read a lot of it," she says. Mary herself has two sons from her marriage to producer Alistair Donald and is expecting her first child with film-maker Simon Aboud. In fact, as we speak she is a weary nine-and-a-half months pregnant.

As a parent, she believes she has taken a lot from her own upbringing, such as "giving my children a sense of freedom, encouragement and adventure, which I got from my parents". Family holidays in Argyll were central to that. "We'd spend August up there. I kind of feel as if I grew up there," she says. She recalls driving up from the south of England in the summer, past mountain springs, looking in amazement at remote crofts and wondering what the occupants did when they needed a pint of milk. Her experience of exploring for hours and "being a bit feral" is deeply etched.

Has she come to Scotland recently? "I haven't as much since my mum passed away but I'm starting to really get a craving to go again now," she says. "I think we all stopped for a while because it felt a bit weird going up without her, but now it's kind of time to start again."

One of the projects that has been occupying her and her family recently has been "revitalising" the Linda McCartney vegetarian food range, which was launched in 1991. Mary had helped her mother with both her cookbooks and food range. Last year, the firm Hain Celestial bought the licence to the foods and the McCartney family (who are all vegetarian) have since been working with the firm, not only with photography and packaging design, but with new lines. "We're working with them on coming up with ideas based on the recipes that mum had and the way she cooked. We're very hands-on. We want to do it for her, the way she would have wanted it done."

Mary's photography, too, is in a sense a tribute to her mother. Linda Eastman McCartney photographed stars such as Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and The Doors. When Mary decided to become a photographer too, Linda was thrilled. "She was really happy, really pleased," says Mary, with a smile. "If I'd had a day taking pictures, she'd go how did it go? When do you get the contact sheets back? Phone me the minute you get them back and come down and we'll go through them.'" While McCartney does a lot of fashion photography, which is a more formal style, she definitely sees similarity between her and her mother's styles when it's just her and her camera.

Her eye for fashion has certainly been caught by the new Maggie's T-shirts, exclusively designed by Dandy Star. The colourful T-shirts each bear one of three words, "hope", "joy" or "be", chosen to represent the ethos of Maggie's; McCartney says they made her job as a photographer easy. "They're great; often charity T-shirts are things you love because they're for a great cause but these are the ones that a lot of people would want to wear anyway. They're bright, simple and they've got good typography on them; they're not filled with logos."

She hopes her photographs promoting the T-shirts will encourage more people to support Maggie's: "It's just a really really important organisation."

"i love you ain't that the worst thing you've ever heard?" is one of the most stella lyrics and i think about it a lot

because love itself is....so very complicated when it comes to stella. it's absolutely central to her life: stella lives and breathes love. whether platonic or romantic, stella's driving force in life is her loyalty, which is inspired by her love. in every decision she makes, in every step she takes, what matters is her love of the people she's taken in as hers.

stella's love language is absolute devotion: when she cares she cares so much it hurts. her own morals, ideas, hell even her life come second to being there. (she's been left so many times, been alone for so long, that when she chooses people she chooses them.) if she cares about you, then nothing will stop her from being there through it all. from doing what she can to mend every situation, to shield, to protect, to provide.

and yet, despite the fierce loyalty and how much she gives...no matter how unconditionally and endlessly she devotes herself.....it never feels like enough to her. stella sees herself as fundamentally flawed, wrong. (her parents didn't help in that regard , if anything they planted the deep rooted insecurity.) she RUINS everything ahe touches....so she must ruin the people she loves too right?

Three Houses First Character Impressions (mostly Black Eagles)

What? You’re actually on time Luna? You haven’t played the game after everyone else and made the commentary even later? Yeah, trust me I’m surprised the most here.

- I’m 80% certain Bernadette is super gay. Also likely fucking traumatized.

- Also everyone is crushing on Byleth. I know the game developers probably didn’t make it, assuming me to play a female character, but whatever. Female Byleth is a chick magnet pass it on. Sadly I can’t enjoy it, because I’m their fucking teacher. Who’s age is ‘??‘

- Casper saying he understands Dorothea and comparing her searching for a husband to secure her future with him training to secure his and being positive about it as just earned him so many plus points

- Casper is such a shonen protagonist

- Linhardt’s a little bitch and I love him

- Catherine is the most gorgeous being I have ever seen and I fucking love her

- I like how Hubert’s character is extreme devotion, but his design makes you think he’s gonna backstab you any second

- Rhea is suitably ethereal and creepy. Neat character design.

- My father looks nothing like me. He’s also extremely vague for no reason and never telling me anything

- I don’t talk. Big minus. The other voice acting is pretty good though. You can actually listen to that again in the log

- Sothis talking did actually remind me of dragonquest IX, where you also can’t talk and get accompanied by a fairy named Stella, who gossips for you. So sorta nostalgic. Did Sothis have to be a child? Can’t these beings ever look at least fifteen?

- I haven’t seen much yet (despite playing for like ten hours... I take my time with exploring okay???), but the characters actually have fascinating potentional.

- It’s too much at once though with the family names. I cannot remember which one is which.

- Shamir looks rad. I want her.

- I think I accidently flirted with Flayn and I feel incredibly guilty.

- Ferdinand is not especially interesting, but I do like ‘It’s our duty to protect the common folk‘-nobles. And it’s a beautiful discourse with what happens in the story.

- You get called ‘Professor’ a lot. I like it and I’m not sure I should.

- Dorothea’s skirt is throwing me off, I feel like pants would fit her design better. Then again I’m not a fan of the skirt in general, I think it looks kinda weird.

- Oh yeah my in my C support with Dorothea, I saw her with a man and I did not have the option of not judging her for it. Kinda pissed about that.

- I don’t think I have funny anecdotes about Edelgard. She’s way too pale, but so is everyone.

- Not a fan of Petra’s speech. It doesn’t sound like someone learning the language, it’s too much for that. Her hair is still cool though. Kinda feel like she would wear pants as well.

- Oh yeah, I’m not a fan of giving people lost items. How am I supposed to know what everyone likes? Also I feel like Rhea should have a less public counselor. That can apparently be me, if I feel like it.
