Time and again Ekanamsa is called Yashoda's daughter (the girl who lived, everyone), and Subhadra doesn't feature as Yogamaya's incarnation until Srimad Bhagavata Purana, which is preceded by Harivamsa. Raised like a son (that's the words Harivamsa uses - the best conclusion we can come to is that Kamsa didn't, or wasn't able to, kill her; the reason is very much up to interpretation and Medha obviously has her own), doesn't marry to the best of our knowledge. Dark beauty, very much a badass from what we can gather, and Medha can talk about her for ages. Issue is: no one will listen because they don't even know of her (I don't blame anyone at all, it's not like I learned about her from thin air), even though she has been worshipped alongside Krishna and Balarama from as old as late 3rd-2nd century BCE through the famous Vrishni triads [Sankarshana-Ekanamsa-Krishna].

Sanjaya. Highly underrated. A master of sass, a speaker of hard truths. Excellent politician and speaker. Suta and sharp-tongued in the most efficient way possible. Genuine badass who talks back to his lord and king on a regular basis and is right in his criticisms.

Kunti. What a woman. Shame on adaptations by Divakaruni and Shinde (among others) for making Kunti antagonistic towards Draupadi at various levels. The canonical Kunti passionately supported Draupadi and wanted to see her molesters brought to justice, reprimanded her sons, ordered them to follow Draupadi's guidance and judgment. Women supporting women, and the best mother-daughter (in-laws) relationship ever. Austere, learned, politically sound, and an underrated, unfairly blamed (sometimes due to lack of information and mostly due to basic empathy) icon.

Satyabhama. Queen. Just queen. Part of the famously unique, tight and inviolable Arjuna-Draupadi-Krishna-Satyabhama group, warrior and partner-in-crime of Krishna in needling Indra, and an icon. Stereotyped very easily by renditions (as Kunti is). Glorious, unapologetic.

In certain dramas and films, there will be this character who gets little screentime, whose part is very small--but in the most critical phase of the story, they ascend, enrich the story with the sheer force of their performance and personality. There's no one better than Abhimanyu to fit this definition. 'Nuff said.

Bonus faves (because Medha just can't let it go because she's been asked about Mahabharata!): Subhadra, Shikhandin, Sahadeva, Balarama, Ghatotkacha and Iravat/Iravan (and how they are both literary parallels as well as foils). Okay, okay, I will stop now. God, I can talk about every single one of these people for ages.

I've excluded two categories of Mahabharata characters from this list:

I created my Simblr on a time when I was running away from a very toxic Spanish Forum that i was part of. I used to only post TS2 pics and i remember being so embarrassed about posting TS2 content while many people was doing amazing things on TS4. Most of those posts are gone now that's why my archive says Jun 2016 is my oldest post i have now.

Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

It's my portrait, made by a freaking talented Twitter friend (which BTW i have the biggest Crush) it works perfectly with my "Branding" and my overall personal style.

It's a generic green velvet curtain texture. I felt that looked luxurious and rather cool

1. Why did you choose your URL?

It’s just my pseudonym. The thing is that I’m actually working on a full-length novel right now and I hope to do others in the future, but I wanted to keep my monster erotica stories separate from that because it’s possible that minors will read my other books and I don’t want them to find this stuff if they happen to try and look up my real name. So, I created Ash Rigby as a name to share my monsterfucking stuff under and it’s very unlikely that I’ll  make my real name public. But if I do ever decide to develop one or more of my short stories into novels (Pleasing The Prince is the one I’m thinking of doing this with some day because it’s still my favourite one that I’ve written so far), they will of course be published under this pseudonym.

This blog has only been around for a couple years, but my I started my first ever tumblr blog back in 2011. It probably surprises no one that I was BIG into Supernatural at the time. It was also just your basic multi-fandom blog in general. I deleted that one though because I wanted to start fresh shortly after I realized that I was nonbinary; so around late 2018. I still use that relatively new blog, but I’m honestly logged into this one more often than not because it’s more fun.

I wanted another place to share my stories and create a decent mostly monster-based blog.

Okay, well since you asked... 

The Fic Writing: 

There are two that I’m primarily focused on... 

1. 99 Perspectives on a Single Love Story -- which I’ve decided to parcel out a little at a time.  It’s a big project, that I could easily burn out on.  

2. Chasing Pavements - which is almost coming up on a year.  I need to buckle down and just finish it.  I have all the chapters outline, it’s just a matter of focus.  I also feel really bad I haven’t updated in a while, especially since it’s currently on a cliffhanger. 

There’s one I’m writing writing as well as these two, but am not posting until it’s finished.  However, since it’s just in my head, I’ve been kinda picking away at it, too.  It’s called Head Over Feet, and it’s a reunion fic set in the future when Klaine are in their mid-30s.  And it might be my favorite thing I’ve ever been writing. 

There are also a few projects I’d like to get back to when these are done -- One being The Spaces In-Between, which is Kurt’s story in canon and two, the fic based on my Final Season sketch that I wrote a few years ago.  I wrote the first couple of chapters, and really like it -- I think I’ll wait until that’s finished before posting as well.  

And, I have numerous one-shots and smaller ideas written down just in case I ever feel like writing those.  We’ll see!  

The Fic Blog: 

The Author Spotlights are still going on - on TDBfic, and those take some time to put together.  

Plus, I’m trying to figure out ways to help keep it active, as well as getting ready to set up a Summer Exchange for people to participate in (and am hoping to get some help in running that).  

Meta: 

You guys ask a lot of questions, which I love! But I don’t always get to.  Some of them take some time to answer, I have a few very old ones that I haven’t replied to yet, just because I know they’re going to take some time.  I also have to set up my queue, which sometimes means digging into old posts and seeking things out to fill the space.  And, there are things in my likes that need responses, and I’m always behind on that -- like, posts that I want to make replies to, or memes people have tagged me in.  

Meanwhile...  There are the Rankings 2.0.  I know I sometimes pause for days on end, and I’ve been griping a lot, but I’m not kidding when I say watching the show this way has been incredibly fascinating.  I now have a real understanding of things that bug me about the show.  In about ten episodes, we’ll be getting to episodes I like more than I don’t, and the tenor of discussion will change.  I’m looking forward to being positive about it again, lol  

There are also two projects that I haven’t posted about, but I’m working on... 

1. The Grey Project - which is a deeper analysis of ATOG’s sequel Grey.  It’s something I’ve wanted to do for years, and it’s a follow up to the analysis we did on the TDB Podcast.  (As an aside -- I think I want to visit the older fics on my master fic rec list, because I haven’t read any of that in years.)  

2. Glee Music Retrospective -- where I look at all the music in the show.  I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time, too, so I’m finally doing it.  

The Book Blog and Marvel Movie Night: 

Most of this is non-Glee related stuff.

The Book Blog is just a way for me to keep track of things I’m reading, and share with you guys new recommendations for published works.  I’m also rereading all of the Agatha Christie novels (because I love them) and working through X-Men comics (which I’ve been wanting to do, and tried starting a handful of times).  All of this is a labor of love.  

And then there’s the Marvel Movie Nights -- where I watch a Marvel movie... all of them... including non-MCU ones.  I kind of wanted to see everything, even the terrible ones, just because.  I’m about half way through the list, and just getting into the MCU, which of course is my favorite.  

Other (mostly boring adult stuff): 

Of course, real life things are a constant.  There’s work (and now that I’m a manager(ish) I have more obligations there; cleaning my house - a never ending project; prepping meals; making sure I’m working out; doing needed errands, etc, all that fun stuff that takes up time.  As well as making sure I’m doing some kind of socialization and doing things just for fun -- like watching TV shows or playing video games.  

And of course, there’s my dearly beloved, neglected child - my original novel.  It’s called The Legend of Melaynia; it’s a fantasy, and I’ve been working on the world building for twenty years.  I am no Tolkien, but it’s been my love, and at some point, I would like to actually focus on it.  

Because I love organizing, I bought a white board that helps me keep everything straight -- and today, I think I came up with a schedule that will help me not feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff I’m working on.

Fangqueen has been my username on every other platform for...idk, probably like 12 years at this point. And most importantly, it’s the name I publish my fanfiction under on AO3, so I figured it was about time my Tumblr matched.

I used to have blogs for rp characters I played......but yeah. We don’t talk about that. 😅 I’ve deleted them all since then anyway - except for one that was special to me. Ten years in September, babyyyyyy! 😂 Of course, I’ve changed my username a couple times over the years, but yeah, I’ve been on this crazy site for ten fucking years, wth.

I have to be honest, I either rb immediately, or schedule for a specific time later on. Literally didn’t even use my queue till I started doing fic recs, haha. So I guess I could technically say it’s #fangqueen recs fics, ‘cause those are the only posts I use it for.

Honestly, it was so long ago, I have no idea, lol! Probably because other places I’d frequented prior to that time (and sometimes still do), like LJ/DW/IJ, Hex, etc., were kind of starting to die out, and I heard Tumblr was cool(??? 😂), so I decided to check it out.

As a person who’s suffered from anxiety disorder most of their life, I’m very much against those kinds of posts. I know what it feels like to be trapped between having a bad mental health day and not feeling like I have the ability to read/deal with whatever the post’s talking about, and also having a bad mental health day and feeling like I’d somehow be a bad person if I didn’t. I don’t think merely clicking the rb button on fucking Tumblr dot com automatically makes you a good/bad person, and I don’t think it’s right to play with people’s emotions and anxieties about such things just to spread your message. What you choose to put on your blog is up to you, and what you choose to devote your mental time and energy to is up to you. It’s always fine to say “this is important, but I don’t have the capacity to engage with it right now” and skip the rb.

So I have to finish and type the ones that are only halfway done. Then I post on a schedule of Monday - Wednesday - Friday that being so each one has some time before the next and so there is a few a week and they last longer. right now I have about enough for that schedule for about 2 months just not all are fully done. I would like to finish what I have and then type them and do the posting and give myself enough time because I have about 3 or 4 series ideas that I would like to do. But I also would like to finish more requests before I do that. Because some requests take longer for me to write or get into the mood to write. I will say that if the request is not Anonymous and I have messaged you about details (which I do sometimes) then I’m in the process of writing it. If it is Anonymous (and sometimes not) once I post the “ASK” that means I’m either writing it then and there or I just finished it.

I know it seems like a long time away and I do apologize. I have a extremely hard time sleeping so I’m up till pretty much 6am if not longer. So I write most of my time in the late night and early morning. I do most of the none dialogue during the day. and Type when watching tv during the day. I am also trying to start my career which takes a lot of time. Plus I have my animals and obviously, I need a break from writing some days, & I like to read things as well lol. I am never not thinking of ideas, and when I get them I either write them down or text them to myself if I’m not home. In January and this little time in February I have filled

And now I’m starting on another notebook. Some things I’ve written recently are VERY long so I had to make them into 2 parters. Those all happen to be requests.

 I am grateful for ALL the Request (Messages & ASK box) / (ASK box is easier and will get done probably faster just FYI) I JUst also have to be in the mood to write the request and that has to do with a lot. Fandom, the idea, the characters, etc etc etc.

It’s always okay to ask, I don’t mind answering at all! I’ve answered this before, actually, but I remember that being pretty short, so I’ll go for the long answer this time. 

Putting it below the cut for you!

SO! I don’t know how much you’ve gathered about me, but I have anxiety and it used to be really crippling. It was hard to do very simple things because I’d overthink things about as much as a person can and I’d feel sick. Did you know that I used to queue my asks? Publishing them when I was around made me so anxious that I had to queue them to come out when I knew I wasn’t going to be anywhere near a computer. Like with all anxiety, my fears were irrational and more often than not, unfounded. That’s just an example, but it was constant anxiety over stupid things all the time, which is so goddamn exhausting, let me tell you.

I’ve changed a lot, though. I’m not the person I used to be. I still have anxiety, of course, that sort of thing never goes away, but it’s different now. I’ve worked so hard to change my perspective and now, my anxiety is more like a friend than anything. It didn’t happen over night and there are still some things that can set me off pretty good, but it’s nothing like it used to be and it’s all because I changed my mindset. Going out in big groups of people used to be really difficult for me and it made me soooo anxious. I’d always be so, so worried about stupid shit. “What if they don’t like me?” “What if I say something embarrassing?” “What if I offend someone?” So on and so forth, just an endless cycle of nonsense that crowded my head so much that I was the quiet one that barely spoke and I never wanted to go out. I go out all the damn time now and I have a blast. All because I sat my ass down and questioned myself. Why was I getting so worked up over whether people will like me? The real question is actually: Do I like them? Because it’s stupid to worry over whether people will like you if you don’t like them to begin with, you know? 

So, just a lot of that. Retraining my brain to realize that while it’s important to be conscious of others, it’s also important to be comfortable in my own skin. I can’t and won’t forego my own mental health for the sake of others, especially strangers or people I barely know. I’m so comfortable in my own skin now and through a lot of trial and error, I’ve learned to wholly love myself, which is an incredible thing. I’m not without my faults and there will always be ways I can improve myself, but I’ve built up the foundation to continue my own growth. I’ve turned my once crippling anxiety into something almost fun because now when I feel my anxiety spiking I can turn it into a game of analyzing why I’m feeling that way and it usually leads to some form of growth as I conquer new/old fears. There are times I can’t quite handle it, too. Anxiety like mind can bring some not so great depression along with it from time to time, but I’ve got a great support system. All I have to do when I feel it getting bad is tell my inner circle and they come through for me each and every time. It’s not like a need much, but knowing I have people I can reach out to no matter what and they’ll unfailingly be there is so soothing.

I’m pretty sure my anxiety wouldn’t be this bad if I hadn’t had a certain incident with a friend’s drunk dad when I was small kid. That really fucked me up and I’ve carried that with me for years. But I’ve overcome it now. I can talk about it easier. I can confront it without flinching. I can look that old friend in the eye and talk to her about it without feeling like I want to disappear, rip my own skin off, or both. That’s huge for me and I’m proud of myself for it! 

I’ve spewed a lot in this post, but this all has a purpose, I promise LOL When it came to deleting my fics, I had to figure out how I felt about them and what I wanted to do with them. I don’t think I’ve talked about this at length, but realizing my heart had moved away from writing fanfiction was a surprise to me. It had probably been building for awhile, I just hadn’t noticed, but it was like one day it was fine and then the next I realized my passions rested more with original works than anything else. It came down to the feeling of, “I love this more than I love this anymore,” and those types of feelings are completely natural. People change and their interests waver -- don’t let anyone tell you that you have to keep doing something for their sake, that’s just not how it works. It was a strange transition though since fanfiction had been part of my life for so long. Once I realized where my passions had shifted, I announced my final fanfic in the Onwards zine and began my transition.

The day I deleted my fics was kind of spur of the moment. It had crossed my mind for awhile, but I’d never acted on it until suddenly I went for it. All the fanfiction I wrote, it’s important to note that I’m incredibly proud of every single thing I made. I had a 90k+ ONE-SHOT that was so badass and I worked through so much of my own shit to write it. I improved over and over and over again. My very first Gintama fanfic (called “Two Men, One Box”) was so much fun that I can remember the day I wrote it. I can actually remember a lot from each fic I wrote. Where I was, how I felt, etc. They bring back a lot of really great memories and they track a journey for me.

Don’t know if you know this, but I used to write for other fandoms. If I’d been writing for kudos and comments I would have stayed in the Naruto fandom because I was popular there, too, and since that fandom is bigger, the following was bigger. I never cared about that stuff though, it’s just not important to me and never has been. Every time I switched fandoms I tended to delete work from that fandom. My Naruto fics were deleted pretty quick after I fell more in love with Gintama and began writing for it. (There were other fandoms before Naruto, but I didn’t write much for those and the fics never stayed up long.) It felt good to delete them, to me. I was moving on and in my head, it made sense for all those fics to move on as well. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t proud of those fics -- I am still to this day proud of them all, every single one. So, deleting my fics is not a new thing, but deleting as many of them as I did for Gintama in one go was new.

Orphaning them had crossed my mind, but I don’t think I’d ever really considered it an option. I love my fics, every single last one of them, and the idea of them floating out in cyberspace without my name plastered all over them felt like an injustice to myself. They’re mine and I love them so fiercely. Which ties into my anxiety, in its own way (which is why I spent time explaining it above). When I thought about “abandoning” them or “orphaning” them, I felt my anxiety rise a bit and that was enough to tell me that leaving them up wasn’t an option. If I didn’t like the thought of doing that, then I wouldn’t like it if I actually did it and left those great works out there without my name on them. People can call that selfish if they want, I don’t care, because it’s not selfish at all. I don’t need to consult strangers before I make decisions. Those fics are part of me and I wouldn’t feel whole without them. It’s not wrong for me to take pride in my work and it’s definitely not wrong to decide what’s best for me regarding the things I created.

So, that’s the long story of why I didn’t orphan them. It wasn’t a viable option as far as I’m concerned. I’d always deleted my fics in the past when I moved on from fandoms and it was good closure for me to delete all my fics when I realized I was collectively done with fanfiction.

As of now my working title is Of Shifters and Shadows.

(very long summary under the cut - it went WAY longer than i predicted lmao):

Essentially the story centers Kyvern (18), prince and heir to the throne of Aerilon, who basically spends his days escaping to the market every chance he can get and dreaming of becoming a commander one day. His mother, Queen Silvia, banned shapeshifters after his father, Montano, was killed by one several years ago. Over his arc he learns that what you want and what you need aren’t necessarily the same thing, and he’s also forced to grow up a LOT.

Ashton (also 18) has grown up as a shapeshifter in a world that wants him dead, and as such, he knows how to run and hide and be invisible almost as well as he knows how to breathe. Yet somehow he finds himself befriending Kyvern, leading to him being roped into a whole heaping of royal family drama. Over his arc he learns to be seen, mostly by the one person who he was afraid of being seen by, and learns that to be seen is to be loved.

Daisha (19) has come from a neighboring country to ask for Prince Kyvern’s hand in marriage. She’s neutral about the whole arrangement until she becomes aware that her father, Kohai, is hiding some serious family secret biz from her. Curious, she goes poking around in the dirt and finds much more than she intended, and now she must make a choice that might determine the fate of the entire country of Aerilon. Over her arc, she learns the value of agency, and learns that what is good and what is right are not necessarily the same thing.

Leander (16) is seriously messed up. Literally his entire existence is a spoiler, so I can’t say much else here without giving a lot away, but--he’s supposed to be dead. And he knows it. Over his arc he learns to forgive, mostly. He learns that trust can be earned back and that some people are helpful allies if you keep them close enough.

Renaya (17) is always feeling like she owes the world something. And when she stumbles across Prince Leander, she automatically feels as though it’s her responsibility to take care of him. Her arc is learning that some things are earned, and you don’t always have to be fighting. (She and Leander are basically opposites--she always feels like she owes something to the world, while Leander always feels like the world owes him.)

Those are my main five viewpoints (although we see some more often than others lol). All of their lives are centered around Queen Silvia’s decision to ban shapeshifters, and soon, all of them will pay a price, one way or another.

~Sweet Beginnings Tag~

I was tagged by @hanxbananxsims who said that they are loving my legacy and ow my heart thank you so much 😭💜

This tag is about looking at your past. All you need to do is to find one of the first screenshots you ever took (and preferably published) and post it besid the most recent one! And tell everyone when you took that first picture!

So the first picture is what I posted first, a little view of our founder Maia. It was taken sometime around October 16th 2017, so that means I’ve had this lil simblr for about 6 months :O Actually not about, the first post was on the 15th so it has been 6 months wild. And we have the most recent legacy post below it. I felt like that one really didn’t show how far I’ve come so I added two more.

That little house shot is the first shot from the legacy beginning. No mods, no custom content. In the beginnning I was just post gameplay shots because up until then that’s all I had seen really and I figured that’s what I would do too. 

The shot below it I feel shows how far I’ve come. It’s not an official legacy post (it’s more just fanservice @ rory fan club) But, It shows that I’m using pose packs, custom content, I edit my shots a bit more now. Nothing too drastic. Another thing you can’t really tell from these is that a few months in I changed from posting just gameplay shots with some narrating to writing out dialouge through stories. And I will be tagging the person who inspired me to do that. If you follow my main you should know who it is lol.

Overall I think I have come a long way, and I have just passed 200 followers and I value all of you, from the first one to the 200th. I’m glad I started using mods and cc. I like my legacy a lot. (And I read what is in the queue often) Right now I am taking a small break to figure out what happens next but it’ll be back soon.

I am tagging @simmingstrawberry because she was my first follower and she has been my own little personal cheerleader. You make my day, and I know that you’ve helped my simblr grow and I appreciate you very much. And I also tag @slothseasims (hi this is @madebycoffee just one of her side blogs) her legacy has had an ENORMOUS influence on me. It's so crazy to me that there are ppl that are actually excited and praising JS for now dating JH. I think if she was seeing JH while dating CE, it was probably as soon as she realized the jig was up and he wasn't buying the "my marriage was already over" story anymore. Well that's what happens in Hollywood when Hollywood actors only want to date people in the business. Chris needs someone not in the spotlight but who are we kidding him dating someone whose not an actress is never going to happen.

So if Jenny doesn't want to be defined by who she is dating STOP calling the paps because I can't imagine paps hanging around waiting on the off chance some actors are at the movies together. Also they were papped a few weeks ago but now the stories are only just appearing on daily mail, lainey gossip and a few other places looks like someone's publicist is busy. I also laughed at her calling Ivanka a fake feminist but it takes one to know one!

celebrities can blacklist questions before interviews its a very common practice within the industry. she had YEARS to blacklist the questions about the SNL thing but she didnt bc guess what getting fired from SNL was what she was KNOWN for. of course she wouldnt want to stop talking about it bc every time its brought up it got her attention, headlines and sympathy. the same goes for dating chris. she had plenty of opportunities to blacklist questions about him but she didnt. now we all know why  

I'm pretty sure once she has another movie to sell she would not hesitate to bring up her 7th grade bf again. but of course now she has to play coy and act like she needs privacy and the media and gossip sites are the villains when a few weeks ago she wouldnt shut up about it. how very taylor swift of her :)

There is a blind item called "terribly unattractive prospect" I think it's about Jenny and Jon, it said is she looking for a replacement for the man who cheated on her? So did Chris cheat on her? It also says they are just friends however he is good for a giggle and photo op. I hope Jenny does get more fame because you know people will start to see she is another Dunham and the backlash will start.

Going back to that last post asking about whether or not Chris has lost some people in the fandom... I can speak for myself. I changed my theme. It was mostly a Chris blog, now it's kind of random. Lol. But he pretty much lost me. I can't really look at him the same, even more so now that I know for sure they cheated (it is so obvious, it's painful). And now that Jenny has completely shown what kind of person she is. She is an ugly person to her core. I just can't. Permanent side-eye, Chris. 😒

I love logging in and seeing new posts from your blog, you ladies are my fave! It makes my day! RE JS and Hamm. In the real world its not normal to just jump into stuff with friends, but they exist in Hollywood. Totally different set of rules. They are used to faking things and are narcissistic. For me, its easy to believe that they jump from person to person so quickly. They don't do actual love, its why it rarely lasts. And high/drunk makes it easier to make dumb decisions.

I don't think Chris cheated on Janny. If he had than she wouldn't have talked about him so much in the Vulture interview. IMHO, she was trying to win him back. She loves to be the victim and if he had cheated, well she would have been all over that one. I agree, I think the butterflies wore off and Chris realized the type of woman he really was with. Maybe his next films and the play will make that people come back? << I think it absolutely affected his fandom. Once you lose fans' respect, it's really hard to get that back. I don't get why there are so many people praising Jenny. I really just saw a tweet with 20k likes claiming Jenny as the most powerful heterosexual in the world for dating Evans and Hamm. I feel like it's shady because other female celebs have more impressive dating histories but don't have people acting crazy over it. Is it because hot women are expected to date hot men so when someone like Jenny dates "hot" men it gives women hope therefore going crazy over it

With all these articles coming out about her dating Hamm (there is a lot of them) we at least now know that it was her PR team getting those articles about Chris and Jenny published. One thing that really surprises me is that a great number of people out there see JS, Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer as feminists. They attack other women, make assumptions about men when they don’t give them the attention they think they deserve and the list go on… And that thing about JS pooping on her pants on purpose? Talking about body fluids is empowering? Oversharing is empowering? Making fun of beautiful women is empowering?  I really don’t get it. If i had a friend that did all that, i would sit with her and have a serious talk about limits and boundaries. It looks like they think that they are adult women, but they are children. Bad behavioured children, by the way.

So there is an article comparing The Hamm and Chris? I wonder if there was an article comparing too actresses that dated the same guy, if the one that wrote the article about Chris and Hamm would not be pressed and call out everyone talking about misogyny. I guess that some feminists are hypocrite enough to do and say things that if men did or said, would be sexism, but when they do, it's breaking barriers and changing the status quo.

Because existing content strategists all come from various fields. I know one content strategist who was a developer. Most were writers or editiors. So there’s more understanding that “no one starts their career as a Content Strategist” (at least not yet). :slightly_smiling_face:

First, read books. The Halvorson book (Content Strategy for the Web) is indispensable for anyone wanting to do Content Strategy within UX (rather than marketing).
