Cannot fully articulate this thought rn but one of the reasons I think Vincent's story strikes a chord with me is the disability/lack of autonomy side of it.
#its obviously not something really brought up but the themes are there and boy do i see them#+ the body horror side of it#(literal transforming into Monsters aside) having your body be an object to be experimented on/altered and you have no say in the matter...#im gonna see a disability metaphor here and nobodys gonna stop me.#of course these things aren't really brought up/maybe even unintentional but I See Them. I Know.#not to mention him getting other living entities surgically grafted onto him. he's for sure got voices in his head.#im not gonna say its fantasy did mostly bc i dont feel that way ab him. But.#im getting close to projecting but lets be real there's not a lot there to work with in the first place theres a lot of blanks to fill in#.txt#ff7 posting#columbo voice and another thing. freshly woken up vincent driving me crazy rn. imaging getting shot and then waking up in a lab discovering#while you were nearly dead your body had been experimented on + your head feels weirdly crowded + the woman you're in love with is dead#i know DAMMN well the first thing he did was throw the fuck up and the second was go I Have To Kill Hojo followed by I Have To Kill Myself#id lock myself in a basement for 30 years too the fuck....
