Taylor and Karlie were at the same wedding in NYC and it’s not a secret.

I messaged a mutual a couple days ago saying how interesting I thought it was that Taylor and Karlie each let it be known that they are in NYC. I’d been meaning to make a post about this but have a sick toddler and didn’t get to it. Anyway, it struck me because normally Taylor and Karlie go to great lengths to make it seem like they are in different places.

To recap, on Friday 9/6/24 Taylor and Karlie each deliberately let us know they were in NYC.

Taylor was papped at Lucali in Brooklyn on Friday night. I’m not sure what time but it was dark so it was late.

Karlie posted two pictures of herself very clearly in NYC; near the September 11th Memorial and in a subway station sign to Brooklyn. We don’t know when they were actually taken but she wanted to establish herself as being in NYC. According to my screenshots, she posted these late like just before 11pm.

The next day on Saturday 9/7/24, Taylor was papped outside Electric Lady Studios with reports that she was attending Karen Elson’s wedding to Lee Foster, the owner of Electric Lady Studios.

For those that don’t know, Karlie is good friends with the Bride. See this post for more on their relationship. My mutual said Karlie has got to be at that wedding. But we didn’t know if her attendance would be public.

Then on Sunday 9/8/24 we got confirmation Karlie was at the wedding via tabloids and Karlie posting a wedding favor on her story with an iconic Electric Lady leather couch in the background.

There’s something about the pics of Karlie outside Electric Lady. She genuinely looks happy. ☀️

I’m so curious if the narrative will become about a private Kaylor reunion behind closed doors. They can sway the wind however they want since no one can read into pap walk pics of it, etc.

Regardless, I sincerely hope they enjoyed themselves at the wedding and are basking in a bit brighter sun today. This feels like a step forward. 💕

We really got two Taylor posts today one of which was her singing Labyrinth with a plane landing she also gave us a holiday merch drop with a speak now snowglobe with the lyrics “I was enchanted to meet you” with daisies on it and her 3rd album locked in a bird cage

I’m tearing up just thinking about it.

And Karlie posting herself enjoying her preferred mode of transportation: the subway. Aka traveling underground.

What a 10 year anniversary

Weird unflattering angle on Karlie in that baseball picture. Very much looks as if she wasn't posing for it, but had taken from below (at an "I'm just texting" angle) while she was talking. Also suss that all her hair is hidden in the cap, so we can't see what color it is. Jerk is a creeper, and I can't forget that old tea about SB having access to people's social media accounts. Curious, did this appear before or after Karlie's "perfect night" post, and is she wearing the same outfit?

He is definitely wearing two different sweatshirts in the subway pic and at the game. Really curious how that happens if these pics are from the same outing. He also has a hat on for the subway ride but not the game. Hard to tell with her because she has a t-shirt on in one and a sweatshirt over a t-shirt in the other.

I think the concept of normal life Taylor alludes to about Karlie having is that, although when Karlie was still making a lot fashion show runways as one of the greatest models in the world, about 3 or 4 years ago, Kar was still doing mundane things like: getting around the city ​​most of the time on the subway while she was in NY; Or how she always takes time off with her family in the first few weeks of August, during her birthday; Or her annual trips to Disneyland with herfamily; Or at the end of the year when she gets together with high school friends in her hometown. You hardly ever saw celebrities doing that, cherishing things they had before they were famous and sharing some of those moments with their followers. Karlie always did that.

And make no mistake, in recent years, more precisely since mid-2018, we've mostly seen publications of Karlie's work. Be it posts published by her or papped. In the past, it was common for her to publish videos or pics of her daily life, going to the gym, going out with friends, running around town or even buying coffee in NY. It was common for her to share mundane things trying to live her life as normal as a famous model can live in NY. If you followed Karlie before 2017, you noticed that back then and years before, we had lots of videos and pics of private moments in Karlie's life beyond the fashion show runways... Walking through the relaxed city, going to or coming home, on ordinary days.

Today, we don't have that anymore. Almost all is just work. No more real-time spontaneous moments, just latergrams.

So like... here’s my problem.

How do YOU explain:

The “words of a sister” in ITTG, the beep boops in closure which sound like a computer and her specifically saying in her making of video for TIWWCHNT that she wants it to sound like a broken computer? How do you explain the Met Gala dress being in the Rep magazine for that same song’s spread, how do you explain her being buried in that dress, and how she wears a similar one in WD MV and the couple matches Joshlie? How do you explain the fact that many of us hear one of the “honeys” as “Kahrlay” and we’ve relistened over and over and still hear it? How do you explain Karlie being close friends with Dasha Zhukova and Wendi Murdoch - both personal friends, not just through Josh - and both of whom have direct connections to Putin? How do you explain Taylor’s close friends Ash and Claire liking tweets that shade Karlie and say Kar betrayed Tay? How do you explain Abi posting about reaaaal friends with pics that exclude Karlie after the Rep tour performance? How do you explain Kar posting about great tea the day before the Masters Heist? How do you explain her manager being a mentee of Scooter’s? How do you explain Lily Donaldson - a close friend of Tay’s - deleting every pic with Karlie immediately after Masters Heist? How do you explain Karlie saying Kim K is a nice person mid Snakegate? How do you explain Karlie posting a caption that said swish swish after Katy released the song and having to change the caption based on Swiftie hatred? How do you explain Karlie not knowing the words at Rep tour? How do you explain Karlie following Joe and letting the follow hang for like a month while he refused to follow back until she eventually unfollowed as well? How do you explain Joshlie going to Big Sur in November 2016 (and many times since)? Or Tay going there without Kar in 2018? How do you explain the LACK of actual Karlie content in Miss Americana - the footage you refer to is news footage from an event they attended as dates lmao like obvi they’d be in the same shot - over like... anyone else they interviewed? How do you explain all the Joe references (there are more and they’re like explicit things like their birthdates being near each other in End Game MV not like coffees and a milk in an ad she didn’t even make)?

I can go on but like...

If believing there’s something going on between Kaylor entertains you and you like sleuthing and you know they’re not like.... currently together... then by all means ship them and look for these. If it brings you joy there’s no reason not to! Look at how much fun the Swiftgrons have and like personally I think like everything they’ve found since 2016 latest is an Olympic style reach.

But if it MAKES YOU HAPPY then CARRY ON.

Shipping should be fun and pure and awesome.

I don’t particularly like a romanticized or late stage Kaylor. But I’m very happy for other people to enjoy it. Sensibly, without dark shipping, and without being rude to anyone involved.

Re: Listening to evermore and folklore in reverse order from when they were released... I think you're right. Also, Karlie captioned an IG post from Nov. 30, "dessert before dinner." And Taylor making a big deal of "31" being "13" backwards. And remember how in "The Man" mv, "Fearless" was graffitied on the subway station wall, but backwards? It's been a topsy turvy year...

I thought the Fearless stuff was interesting too.

Track 5: Delicate, YNTCD, and other connections

In the You Need to Calm Down music video, Hayley Kiyoko scores a bullseye on the number 5, which we are linking to Track 5 on Lover. However, if this is a clue to Lover’s track 5, or reputation’s track 5, remains to be seen.

Delicate was track 5 on reputation, and Delicate is our LGBTQ+ coming out anthem that Taylor specifically dedicated to the community and represented pride flag dresses while performing the song on tour, and even giving her first ever pride speech before performing Delicate in Chicago on June 2nd, 2018. On Taylor’s recent Entertainment Weekly cover where she teased easter eggs for her 7th album, she wore a pin that says “Track 5.” 

At the end of the Delicate music video, the last video of the reputation era, we see Taylor dancing in the rain, heading to a bar where she meets the unknown lover who passed her a note in the beginning of the video. Before Taylor goes into the bar, we see a mysterious shot of a car in the upper righthand corner of the frame:

The car was digitally edited into the above shot. 

Look familiar? it’s eerily similar to a Ford Thunderbird, the car used in the kaylor Vogue shoot:

In the beginning of the You Need to Calm Down video, we see Taylor set a trailer on fire, and she leaves the trailer carrying a daisy with her (we all know what the daisy means). Many people think this trailer is the one from the vogue shoot, but thanks to this excellent post, we see the trailer from the vogue shoot is elsewhere in the music video:

The “kaylor trailer” in YNTCD is the location of the LGBTQ+ community being unfazed as protesters scream in their faces. As stated in the post linked, the trailer is an Airstream. Who confirmed that the YNTCD trailer Taylor is lying in front of while ignoring the hate from homophobic protestors is actually an Airstream?

To further connect Delicate (a song dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community and the delicacy of coming out) to YNTCD, at the end of the Delicate video, Taylor goes into the Golden Gopher and has this “It’s You!” look on her face when she finds the lover she is looking for:

At the end of YNTCD, Taylor is searching for someone in the same way we see her searching in Delicate. She spots Katy and has her, “It’s You!” moment:

While Taylor and Katy have their sweet embrace, we still flash back to images of the protesters who are looking at Taylor and Katy, still screaming at them that homosexuality is a sin. This is occurring WHILE Taylor and Katy are slowly embracing and looking at each other lovingly!!!

Back to Track 5. In the Delicate video, Taylor is seen at the subway station with the words “Track 5″ written in graffiti behind her. Three days after the Delicate video came out, Karlie posted a photo of her at the subway, with the number five, asking, “You looking at me?”

The “Track 5″ pin on Taylor’s Entertainment Weekly cover is identical to the aesthetic from the Delicate video:

This has me thinking that the 5 bullseye in YNTCD has less to do with Lover’s track 5, but more to do with DELICATE. After all, who shot the bullseye?

concerning “why” : my theory is that the rep era was meant to build up to the discovery of this, and the big reveal: that the album’s muse is karlie (to people who couldn’t figure that out by listening to the songs alone). but, given some unforeseen turbulence on karlie’s side (and no significant bites from the fans anyway), the plan was shelved. this is just my theory of course but i think we can all attest that the year didn’t go 100% as planned and that the girls adapted.

i say this in part because it looks like the magazines were constructed to lead you to this conclusion (read post 2 above). i believe fans were meant to notice that numerical discrepancy on the physical covers with taylor’s instagram promo graphic and thus pay attention to the CD and photo, where the respective numbers lead you to in the magazine. it was meant to be a puzzle from taylor to us, solvable upon release.

i actually have a super meta theory that joe was chosen in part because his physical features are close to karlie’s (remember when that observation floated around for a bit?), and i assume that because of this, joe’s face can likely be matched up just enough with the picture as well, so as to manage public perception as necessary. i wonder if her team intended for one part of her fan base to speculate that joe is on the cover of the album and others to suspect karlie. but none of that happened 😭

it’s my personal headcannon that So It Goes and Gorgeous in particular contain hints that direct you to the discovery. at the very least, i cannot listen to the lyrics “cut me into pieces” “all eyes on you all eyes on me all eyes on us” or “look at your face” without smiling on the subway 😂

anyways, thank you for having fun going over the theory, i just find it all so fascinating and i hope lots of people do too. throughout rep era i saw countless posts from people lamenting that there were “no clues” in the reputation album like in previous ones (the secret messages) and i hope this shows that taylor totally did put a secret, scavenger hunt-style message in there, and packaged it in a fun way for everyone. everyone whose willing to believe she likes women, anyhow!

Submission: Can we call it a provocation if the intention is just to celebrate or just leave something important registered in your own timeline? This is not a Karlie's defense. Far from it, at the moment I have barely followed in her footsteps, but I think that, among the couple, the only one who uses their media to stipulate deadlines and instigate us to wait for dates is Taylor. Karlie just seems to me to discreetly mark important events in her life. The closest she came to insinuating deadlines for us, we can't even call her that because we only noticed after what happened, in other words, it wasn't a post like: Hey! Keep an eye on date x, as Taylor normally does, was the cardigan post 13 days before folklore was released and it looks like she also did a post about evermore. Other than that, she published it as a form of tribute or to record important days for her and Taylor, such as post 🔐, family vacations, birthday post and other important dates. And that's so true that there are old, untagged posts where Karlie looks like she's celebrating or targeting someone in particular, like those old flower posts. Or also, you do remember the two posts about the two clips of Delicate, one with the caption saying something about everything is flowery there and the post next the penguins in the subway? She even quietly congratulated Austin in his birthday with a latergram in 2017 or 2018...

I've been here for a long time, and even though at the time of the infamous ff 7 long years I actually celebrated, no end of jk ever happened, after a while of said publication I just came to the conclusion that indeed for Kloss something significant (secret) she was contractually bound to for 7 years was over. Does her contract or a clause of it with jk or IMG? Idk, but that can only be linked to work and exhausting work (the emphatic 'long'). And can I clarify something? I deal with financial planning and it is normal for us to stipulate small, medium and long-term goals, and when you create a medium-term goal, whether for an investment or work, we are talking about a period between 5 to 10 years, more or less. What I'm saying is that in terms of business-work, the 7 years on a contract whether as a model, beard or agent, that in the business world is considered relatively short time. That's why it's common to see musicians, actors and models working for 5 years or more with just one company. That's why these sunset clauses, although strange for normal people like us, is something common in showbusiness, because it is considered to have a short time frame when you're talking in terms of business-investment.

SR: The Seven Year Fantasy Football tweet was the straw that broke the camels back for many of us. Seven years did not connect to anything but Jerk's start date. It was not the end of her time with IMG, but it was 7 years (and that exact month) from when she started bearding for him. She knew what she was doing as we had been talking about that being the enddate ... and she burned support from people for it.

Taylor showed up at a LA restaurant. Weird, the paps that found her in Malibu isn’t there for the pictures, unlucky. In other news, Harry comes out one more time, would people actually listen now. Kendall came right out of the straight closet, good for her. I guess it’s a thing now, getting old and outdated.

u and ur anons r allowed to disagree, but for me, delicate will always = kaylor. i simply can't seem to get over how the 5th women at the bar just happens to be a karlie lookalike (her tank even resembles her knicks game outfit), & that karlie posted a pic of herself standing under a '5' at the subway with the caption, "you lookin at me? 👀" 3 days later. like, what? and yes, i'm aware joe was pap'd 2 days before the video premiere hiking in dark jeans and nikes, but that's just too convenient.

what does her knicks outfit have to do with the moment taylor met her at a dive bar, though? the dive bar was clearly really important to the relationship taylor is singing about so it’s hard to imagine that wasn’t a real moment.

Remember when karlie was walking the nyc marathon he posted a picture of him on the subway drinking something whilst going to the finish line where he met her. Like that's so me taking the car instead of walking just because 😂😂😂😂

I would have done the same tbh 😅 And that way he had all the energy to cheer for her 🤗
