genuinely cannot actually believe that akira toriyama passed away. that is the most shocking death ive ever experienced in my lifetime

i never necessarily liked him as a person, i'll be honest and blunt. a lot of the things he did were frankly creepy and i didnt like a lot of the stuff in his stories. but i cannot and will not deny the absolutely incredible influence and impact he had on the world and me personally. like man. i wouldnt have met my wife had it not been for dragon ball. i wouldnt have made mirrors. i wouldnt have done so many things relating to dragon ball and the events that happened after i got into it. like its just undeniable how much of an impact he's had on a whole lot of people including me, and i dont have to necessarily like him to acknowledge that.

but ya. sorry if this is how you found out about it, the official db twitter released a statement if you wanna go find that and read it. he passed on march 1st at age 68 which is insanely young to pass honestly. really devastating news for dragon ball fans.
