does anyone else find it suspicious and sleazy that the federal conservatives are not only putting out ads about how much trudeau and carney suck but doing so outside of an election campaign season?
#canadian politics#cdnpoli#like idk. i got two of them this morning alone and it was the exact same 10 second ad on youtube#i think it was last month we got a literal campaign thingy for the cons???? like for the local conservative MP candidatw#(i think the incumberant MP for my riding is liberal)#like i don't 100% agree with trudeau OR carney + they haven't voted in trudeau's replacement yet i don't think?#but ☝️ i think that there's something even more Weird about actively putting out anti-liberal ads outside of the campaign period#as not only one of the main federal parties but the official opposition#even if the election is this october. campaigning in canada lasts for about a month#this is even worse than when the cons and libs were putting out ads that 'a vote for the ndp is a vote for [insert competing party here]'#tell me you don't know how your own country's political system works without telling me#(this was several years ago but i Remember it)#(it was the election i was a whole MONTH too young to vote in and i was soooooo mad about it)
