yesterday at the game shop someone asked me when I started 3D printing. I told them a couple years ago, it was really easy to get into, sometimes I make things for commission, etc etc
then this person, this child, looked me square in the face and said "do you think it's too late for me to start? I'm almost 17..."
17
almost 17
ALMOST. SEVEN. TEEN.
when I tell you my soul left my body over this child, this mere not-even-17 year old, thinking they were already too old to start a new hobby, lemme tell you, I did not know how to respond
so i need yall to repeat after me
it is never too late to start a new hobby
it is never too late to start a new hobby!
it is never too late to start a new hobby!!
you wanna learn to crochet at 47? go off king! learn to paint at 69? nice! learn embroidery on your death bed?? it is literally never too late!! you don't even have to be good. it's absolutely wonderful to see people who are just ok or even bad at something doing that something unabashedly and at whatever age they happen to be

You're something of a people person. You throw parties and actually introduce your guests instead of leaving them awkwardly standing in the doorway. You collect gossip like your life depends on it, and you're self-aware of your "tea" addiction. Your friends don't just come to you for advice. They know you'll offer to invite yourself into the drama, and they just might take up the offer. People like to tell you things, but maybe they know next to nothing about you, and part of that is probably your unwillingness to share. I hope you have a few close friends who know your messy side, and I hope you get to haunt a public building like a restaurant, and that you aren't the only ghost there, and that the other ghost is just as invested in people's bullshit as you.

How Fandom Would See You If You Were A Fictional Character
So Much Fanfiction
You have so, so much fanfiction, either because you’re so shippable, or because you’re hot. Maybe both. Probably both. You definitely flirt with everyone, either way. Tumblr and Twitter love you and showers you with queer headcanons. Reddit keeps a safe distance.
