nothing's wrong-- i'm just a STEM student...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[i rarely see stem rep-- so here’s PART TWO! (find part one here) the extended edition of ‘stoners in stem’ highlighting the parts of this life that i find myself loving ;p
Thinking of doing sectionals (Physics, Environmental Studies, Mechanics, Entomology, etc.), so if there are any suggestions you'd like to highlight, plz tag or comment !!]
TAG YOURSELF !! I LOVE SEEING WHAT YALL GET UP TO !!
slightly concerned glances being shared between even the worst of acquaintances when your mentor drops some crazy lore surrounding how they entered their field(s)
good god. the apple-cider vinegar and dish soap gnat traps. honey alternatives decidedly never cross anyone's mind (nor the threshold of the lab for that matter)
walking the fine line between the Ridiculous and the Logical during data analysis like the two aren't twin kings of ruin
noncommital shrugs when asked anything about your preferred diet or eating habits
writing exclusively with pen, or exclusively with pencil. feeling borderline disgusted having to use the other when you forget your own
'Why do you care?' 'Why don't you??'
Every documentary you watch absolutely changing your life and challenging your worldview
Either hanging onto your textbooks like a lifeline or forgetting about them as they gather dust under your bed. maybe you never bought them at all-- pirated PDFs littering your desktop
anything in jars being considered decor (snakes, regurgitated bones, praying mantis egg cases)
seeing the slant of fences, trees, and lamp posts-- thinking of all the wind and weather that's passed along the same path you have
TREEHUGGER !!! HA HA
the clean quiet that hangs over the linoleum early in the morning; the warmth is not so subtle now that you've rolled up your sleeves.
teaching everyone around you how to bypass PAY FOR ARTICLES because knowledge should always be F[ree]INED [inspect, gear, disable java]
having to just sit by n watch while someone pointedly ignores your input, and a totally avoidable incident (that could have totally been avoided) is not, in fact, avoided
dealing with the consequences of that incident for the rest of the experiment/project
blank stare, lips in a placatingly firm line as you nod along with the stern talking-to you're being given. their words going in one ear and out the other because you're already thinking through another way under admin's nose
whaaaaat ? how'd those locally indigenous species just pop up everywhere overnight, ha ha ? wow nature is crazyyy
digging through public records for one reason, only to uncover an entirely different can of worms about the institution you frequent
digging in the literal dirt and uncovering literal worms lol amirite guys
'Please remember that this is just a prototype and that i'm it's in a very fragile state right now.'
going crazy trying to figure out what a specific testing company uses in their chemical compounds, because good fucking god how are you supposed to cite the evidence if you can't even label what it is?
a disastrous experiment being abandoned like Chernobyl once determined beyond salvation-- everyone curious to see how it'll develop and fester when left on its own
'life imitates art,' you think, as you finally recognize one of your unnecessarily complicated formulas being represented in your daily life
often being so bad at the thing you love that you can't do anything about it but laugh
staring for so long at something during a lecture that white begins to leech into your vision. you should probably blink a few times so people don't begin to suspect you're a reptile (even more than they already do)
'Don't.. don't look at me like that...' [speaking to a(n) (INSERT NAME OF LITTLE CRITTER HERE) you had to gently move onto a little scale to collect data]
honing in on where your talents in your field lie; the disappointment in finding your limits that turns to indifference when you remember you're still phenomenal at a million other things you enjoy
'i want to study you like a bug.'
thinly concealed irritation masked by a patient smile and a small 'mhm' when someone tries to explain your life's purpose TO you (ten dollars says they're wrong about it, too)
'and you want me to run this... on a full moon?' 'don't start with that shit again.'
yer disgust is lookin' a lot like morbid curiosity these days...
a lot of your scientific conclusions being discerned by common sense ('Please just use your cognitive functions, you guys...')
a clean earth sciences lab floor.. my white whale...
the small (increasingly large) pile of recyclable material that's waiting to be torn apart or filled with soil and plants; it topples over when people walk past, but no one can bring themselves to throw any away
'all this only cost me like... $270. which is crazy given that these're the real fuckin' deal with solid steel reinforcements.' 'man...this shit is so gonna blow down.'
leaning into the obscure, instead of away from it out of habit; seeing its effect in your daily life and work
all the plastic utensils in the dining area being stolen for diagrams, leaving behind only the reusable metalware. this is unexpectedly admirable of the engineers, if only to those who care about the inadvertent environmentalism
taking things apart to see how they work-- having very little planned on how to put it back together
'I don't know what you want me to do about that, you created it.' 'Not on purpose!'
downloading photomath during testing season. your doubt being palpable over your (in)ability to solve simple equations
carrying hand lotion everywhere you go because of how often your work has you washing your hands; colleagues and peers holding their hands out like beggars in a Mel Brooks film ('lotion... dollop of lotion for the poor D:')
borrowing chemical-grade goggles from the lab before going out to protest; supervisors giving you dubious thumbs ups while they 'accidentally' leave the key to the goggle sanitation station right by the cabinet..
'Now that you've poured your blood, sweat, tears, and other secretions into this project-- decide if you want to take it home to maintain, or have it eradicated.'
utilizing the public library, but having to double-check the internet before citing anything from the books you pour over because your city is more concerned with the way the building looks than the content it supplies
'The Martian,' both the book and the movie ... Mark Watney you will always be famous,,
'Why are you taking so many difficult classes at once?' 'My entire degree is difficult classes.'
carrying a small journal everywhere in an attempt to organize your thoughts, tasks, and reminders (you've never looked back on a single you've written, but you like to think it at least helps in the moment)
being torn between the scientific evidence that supports getting eight hours of sleep and your own hubris. you can stay up it's fine. it'll be fine.
you're not fine but at least the lab counters feel so nice against the side of your face
WHAT THE FUCK IS EVEN A KILOGRAM 🦅🦅🦅‼??!!!!!
having no idea where your degree will take you, giving everyone who asks a different vague answer
hands being littered with cuts and burns; not being able to stop yourself from touching even at the worst of times
geeking out over carbon sensors and ammonia regulators your supervisor managed to convince the department to splurge on (nothing provided by them will enter your lab for another three semesters)
being one of the most prepared people ever when it comes to disaster prep; this includes zombies
'this was not.. our intended result... someone get the shovel.'
pettiness infiltrating your daily life in the form of utilizing your talents; coding programs and drawing up diagrams and running tests just to prove someone wrong (or just to fuck with them)
studying with your liberal arts friends; both of you staring at your respective incomprehensible lines of symbols and words that neither of you have the brainpower to comprehend. most of the lights are off and the library closes in ten minutes, but you know the night staff and they've learned to keep their distance until absolutely necessary.

This is a mixture of shower thoughts fic and lying in bed after taking a sleep aid fic, so is it good? who knows. but apparently ao3 is down so enjoy! lol
Warning: not proofread at all.
the band has been working diligently to make a name for themselves and while they have a decent following, they’ve all had to take day jobs
on one of the days they are all working, julie almost misses a call form a record label that recently saw them perform and would like to sign them on
she says she is excited by their offer but would need to speak to the rest of the band first, to which they are understanding and even offer to email a pdf of the first draft of the contract to them to review and they can set up a time to meet if things look satisfactory
she rattles off the band email before ending the call and texts the band group chat before heading back to work after her break
“a label wants to sign us! contract in band email. can’t wait to go over it with you guys! <3 <3″
she feels her phone buzz with an incoming response as she’s walking back to the front of the store she works at and quickly checks it.
L- yes! rock n roll hall of fame, here we come!
as she is reading that, another texts arrives and she laughs at Luke’s impatience
L- emails not there yet :(
back at the front, the afternoon rush hits and julie doesn’t have time to check her phone, but she’s felt it go off several times in her work apron and, while she’s never hated the customer service industry, she absolutely cannot keep a giant smile off her face the whole rest of her shift
so she’s a bit blindsided when she finally gets to check her phone again as she grabs her things from her work locker and the first message she sees is
L- I’m not signing this.
it must be a real bad deal then. her heart sinks as she continues reading
A- ?
R- oooo bad money deal?
L- money is fine.
L- not a good fit for the band
A- how do you mean?
luke didn’t respond and the next message comes 20 minutes later
A- F that. i’m not signing either
R- guys. what is going on?
R- oh
R- okay, yeah no
by now Julie’s anxiety is starting to climb because how could it not be a good fit? this label is known for signing bands in the pop-punk genre. What on earth would make the guys turn this opportunity down? an opportunity they have worked blood, sweat, tears and years to get. How could they dismiss it so easily?
she needs some time to think (but does she really? it’s the anxiety talking) so instead of responding, she pulls her bag strap over her shoulder and begins walking towards the exit, tying her hair up in a real messy bun to keep herself from picking at her fingernails
The clouds in the sky are pinkish purple against the darkening sky as the sun is low enough to be blocked by the surrounding buildings. heat still emits off the parking lot pavement, alluding to the Hot summer days thar have fallen upon the city.
Julie takes a deep breath before heading to the employee parking
Luke is leaning against the back of her car
"Luke? What are you doing here? Is everyone okay?!"
"Yea, Boss. Everyone's fine," he reassures her before pulling her into a hug. "I just wanted to see that million dollar smile."
Julie can't help but smile
She holds him tighter as her thoughts quickly jump back to the contract. She questions him about the group chat. How could they possibly all be saying no?
His arms tense around her, before letting her pull back to look at his face. He reveals that the contract actually starts off pretty decent. The label just had one stipulation that was a deal-breaker.
What? What could possibly be a deal-breaker when the rest is that good?
"If we sign it, they'd be able to force the band to undergo cosmetic dentistry."
"Oh." Her stomach drops. She wants to look away from the boy she's described as having the perfect smile. Alex and Reggie are basically right there with him. She forces her hands to stay put, but they scream to cover her mouth, her face. Her eyes drift down and stop on his Adam's apple. This is about her.
One of his hands gently cups the side of her face, tilting it so she is looking up at him again. His eyes are sad.
She can't stand it. She can feel tears welling in her eyes "I- I could do it."
He's shaking his head vehemently before she can finish. "No, Jules! You are perfect and beautiful just as you are. If they can't see it, then they aren't the label for us."
"But-"
His other hand moves up to cup her face in his hands.
"Be who you are, don't compromise, julie. Fuck them."
Julie is overwhelmed in that moment. Tears break free of her lashes, but a laugh rings out as she pulls his face to hers.
His lips ground her and she cant believe how lucky she is to have such a supportive boyfriend. She pulls back and remembers the others immediate refusal to sign as well. She couldn't ask for a better band and family. She thanks her mom for the millionth time for bring them to her.
She sniffles from the tears but a smile is back on her face as she teases him. "Did you quote our own song at me just now? What a dork."
He's grinning back. "Well, the gal who wrote that line is pretty smart."
He pulls her to the passenger door "let's go home"

Sirris and Kylar you’re in their haunted house with GN-Reader
Sirris
You had just bought this small house. It was a step up from your old moldy and grimy apartment that's for sure. The place was quite nice despite the history behind it, and sadly that you were able to afford it. House fire killed the father but the son lived. You wanted to do more digging but found it to be in poor taste so you held off.
The place felt homely despite it all. It was well kept before you moved it and felt nearly brand new. Even the scent of ash you had somewhat expected was gone and replaced with a fall candle your realtor left for you.
You decide to start now and begin unpacking. It was an exciting process though somewhat hassling with the bigger and heavier boxes, as well as your lock of foresight to organize the boxes better in your attempt to get out as fast as possible. You put away books that were mixed with old CD’s and video game cartridges. Some you mixed mugs with décor. All of them were a surprise because you didn’t label a thing.
But as the sun set and you were finishing your last box you pulled out your old Ouija board, you had played with it a little too much at your old apartment. Convinced that several people died in the dark hole of a place, the mold grew too quickly and it was far too depressing compared to your older neighbor who had a delightful little apartment. But now you came face to face with the board in a house you knew for sure someone died in. A devilish idea popped up in your head.
So you pulled it out of the box and set it down on your coffee table and set it up, even pulling over the candle left for you to add to the scary atmosphere despite the apple scent. You took a deep breath and cleared your mind.
“Is anyone here?” you call out to the empty and dark room. You could feel your heartbeat in your ears with how silent it was. Dead silence hung in the air, but as you opened your mouth to ask again the planchette started drifting, pulling over to ‘yes’. Your heart leapt into your throat. You're sure it wasn’t just your mind playing tricks on you, it moved, it was pulled. Nerves fluttered around, you cleared your throat and asked another question.
“What is your name?” your heart beat louder and you could feel goosebumps on your skin. The wait seemed longer this time, but your hands moved, S-I-R-R-I-S. “Sirris? That’s your name?” and it moved over to the yes.
“Were you the man who died in the fire?” your hand was softly dragged over to yes again. Your head buzzed about. The situation was electrifying, your nerves alight with fear but your curiosity pushed you forward with leaps and bounds.
You asked tons and tons of questions, even questions you had thought of back in middle school came rushing back. You learned Sirris was once a man, single father with a kid named Sydney, who would now be older than you, he was once a teacher, he loved his job, and sadly the fire started due to faulty wiring and started in his room, died before he was even aware there was one.
You didn't even realize how much time had passed, looking at the clock as your eyes began to droop you saw five hours had passed. Your excitement made you forget about the passage of time. You yawned, saying goodbye and blowing out the candle and putting the board away. Your bed was calling you, and with how much you communicated with Sirris you didn’t feel scared by his presence. It felt reassuring, like a father figure watching over you.
Every night you spoke with him, and every night you were more and more delighted by the responses, even showing it to a few friends who begged you to record it after seeing the proof, they had ran out of the house some of them nearly pissing themselves when you lifted you hand and the planchette continued to move. The idea mulled in your head for a bit and you decided that it might be important, you know people look for this kind of evidence all the time. So you resolved yourself one night to borrow your friend's camera, which was a million times better than your phone’s camera.
You set the camera down and took awhile to angle it just right, and make sure there was enough lighting as well as figuring out how night vision worked on this thing. You settled yourself down and began, a bit on edge with the camera rolling.
“Is anyone here?” your fingers drifted along the board and you gently took your fingers off, watching the piece drift without you touching. It’s thrilling as you look over to make sure the camera is picking it up. “Sirris is that you?” and it circled back to yes. You could feel giddy and the smile was impossible to wipe off.
Something was grazing your thigh but you couldn't see it. Even when trying to brush it away there wasn't anything. It switched to the other thigh. You stood up but nothing happened, nothing. "Sirris? Is that you?" There wasn't an answer, just something fiddling with your shirt. It moved like it was being pulled but there wasn't a thing there. An invisible force turned you to the camera as your shirt was pulled up but when you tried to cover up something blocked you again. Was something showing you off to the camera? The realization made all the blood rush to your face.
"Sirris! Please, is that you?" You yelled out, and it scrolled back over to yes once more.
For some reason that made you calm down. There were ministrations over your nipples. Gentle rubbing, circling and pinching in a way that felt incredibly good. Then that trailing in-between your thighs came again. But something inside you wanted more. You shuffled your pants down and felt that force start masturbating you, even making you lean back so your body was on full display for the camera.
What you could only explain as Sirris was holding you up as your sex was played with nipples sucked. It's been a while since you’ve touched yourself, things have been so busy, and now this? Maybe you're losing your mind but this teasing feels way too real and way too nice. Your eyes were rolling into the back of your head.
This? This wasn’t bad, not bad at all. You ground your hips back into the force and your moans were spilling out uncontrollably. It felt like you were fucking against cold air that somehow had the power to rub you. You moved and moved until the tension of orgasm finally snapped and you came. The dark ceiling felt like it was spinning and the cold air around you felt so nice.
Your eyes fluttered open and you didn’t even realize you passed out as your eyes squinted against the rays of sunshine going through your blinds. Looking around you found yourself on the couch next to the camera that was still rolling. You rolled over and stopped the feed. Rolling back your face felt real hit when you could see you sex being moved and tugged by an invisible figure. You shit the thing off as quickly as you could.
No way you could show this clip off.
Kylar
The manor had been abandoned since you were a child, you always heard the stories people whispered at tea time, or chanted by campfires. The story of a child, abandoned by their parents and left to rot in the old mansion. How his cries could be heard at night, his grumbling stomach shook the walls if you ever dared to step foot inside, and how he might end up stealing your soul if you angered him.
The stories while they scared most children fascinated you. The macabre was always so fascinating to you and the stores only fueled your curiosity for life after death with the manor being the heart of it all. Throughout your life you had always saved up your money from holidays and birthdays to save up for ghost hunting equipment. Your closet was stuffed with tons of different devices and you told yourself after buying this last piece of hunting equipment you’d finally go into that strange manor.
The day it came in you nearly danced in excitement, hugging the box to your chest as you spun around and looked out your window to the house that everyone in town feared. Tonight you would be the first to break in, in over ten years and explore the place. You excitedly packed up everything, making sure it would be rattled too much, and paced around until it was time to leave.
The moon was high in the sky, shining its full glory over the town and casting tall shadows. It felt like the perfect Halloween night, everything was perfect. Your heart was pounding as you hiked yourself over the massive spiked fence, watching the spikes. The yard was a wild mess, overgrown bushes, vines, and even grass. It was hard to even get through as the wildlife itself seemed to cling and pull you, preventing you from going inside. Enough tugging and pulling got you to the side window that had been busted open by a stray ball and using a stick you pushed out the rest of the brittle and grimy glass.
The inside was musty, filled with dust and mold, the floorboards squealed as you climbed inside and looked around. Odd, quiet, and rotted but it also had a strange elegance to it. Old wood pillars, a winding staircase and tons of old décor. It was as if it was frozen in time with a layer of dust. You scrambled your way deeper taking a bit to look around the place. Room after room felt like a treasure trove, undiscovered, untainted by the world outside.
It was strange, you felt almost drawn to somewhere, and you followed that feeling. Up the staircase, down the hall, and the fifth door on the right. There was a bedroom with you that was stained on the bed deep and vile, as well as… human shaped. This was the room.
You took a breath to calm your head, and sat your bag down and took out all your equipment. Within what seemed like moments you had everything set up. It felt like too little time, but still you continued on. You flipped on your recorder and made sure everything was running.
"Is anyone here tonight? Is the boy who died here?" You kept as quiet as you could while leaving pauses for the voice recorder and you asked a variety of questions. When you were done you flipped off the recorder and stuck your earbuds into your laptop as you uploaded the data and played it back.
Your voice spoke out clear as day on the replay, a voice followed. "I am here." Soft, yet not childlike like you were expecting. It sounded like a man.
You asked for his name and the voice came up again. "Kylar…" how old he was? "20." How did he die? "My parents left me here."
You paused the tape. A tad bit older then a child for sure. You were always told this child couldn't be more than 8. You resumed.
Why was he still here? "Lonely." The quality started dropping, turning to static as the voice of Kylar still spoke. "So…" crackle- "very-" sizzle- "lo-"
And the rest was static despite having a few more minutes of questioning. You took it back out again to continue playing with it, but it still let out terrible audio. Broken on the first night out. Everyone said this was the best one on the market. You tossed it, what a waste.
Then a motion detector went off, flashing its bright colors right at the edge of the bed. You stood up and walked over, taking hesitant yet excited steps and as soon as you touched it you felt your body surge as if pushed and fell into the bed. You tried scrambling up but it felt as if the bed was eating you, pulling you in deeper to the stained sheets and mattress.
Your pants were ripped right off your body as something parted your cheeks. Yelling and screaming did nothing as something cold and wet pressed against your sensitive hole. It felt too much like a tongue. Squirming and trying to kick whatever it was you had to bite your lip when a certain lick drove an electrifying spike of arousal up your body. Holy shit, why was that so good? More and more lick made moans spill out despite this fucked up situation, you on a bed this spirit died on! But those horrifically pleasant sensations were drowning out the rational thoughts of your brain.
So much, so wet. Whatever it was, was lapping fluid against your hole and even pushing it inside. Panting your hips instinctively moved back trying to get more of this feeling but as soon as you found a rhythm it pulled away and a mix of desperation for more and a touch or reason flooded your brain.
More, but good God was this really happening? Were you being touched by a ghost? How? How was this happening? And how could you get more?
Your thought process was halted when what felt like lips kissed the back of your neck. That slimy feeling licking up and around your jawline and something poking against your rim. Slowly pushing in you swear you could hear panting and grunting as it feels like a cock was pushed into you.
Pumping in an out before you had time to even take a breath in, it hurt, but in a good filling way. Groaning as it pushes deep inside you it just pulls out to do it again but somehow deeper.
It hurts. It hurts so good. Shoved into the grimy disgusting bed you take more and more as you stare into space moaning now as the spirit dives its cock inside you. You don't even care about the context anymore. You just want to feel good, you want to cum.
Faster and faster it goes and you push back until you cum finally. And as you're riding on the high of it all you can feel something cold shoot inside and it shocks you right out of it. You shoot back up, standing and brushing yourself off in a panic when you remember where you were and you can feel something drip out of you.
Get out. You need to get out. You can grab your stuff in the morning. You yank your pants up as you dash for the door but as you yank you hear some sounds on the outside. Wildly shaking the handing again and again until you hear that it's chains.
… How? You came in here just fine? There's no way it was chained now! Turning to your electronics you could see it all sparking and smoking as if fried. Phone, laptop, camera. Every single bit is broken. Years of money down the drain. And more importantly no way to contact the outside world. No windows, no way out.
Please… someone… Help.

hello again, rpc echo chamber,
and happy 4/20. the original post i made was last month, and damn. it. is. dry. so, i do feel i’m speaking into some sort of void, but here goes. i’m still searching for writing partners because, someday, i’d love to publish my work. rping strengthens those muscles. i don’t write much fiction outside of rping, but my voice is pretty distinct, and i love building new universes.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。. ・・・・☆・・・・☆ ・・・・
i’m 24 and i use discord & telegram to write these stories. here is a sample of my writing.
i write as a woman, and i'm looking for someone to write as Harry Styles. some of my ideas involve just using his name and/or face claim if you're more comfortable with this.
some little things about writing with me:
i am an adult and write adult content. i will not write with anyone who’s not an adult.
i am going through some human things in my human life outside of writing, but i will do my best to let you know if i won’t be online because of it.
i’d appreciate if we could discuss triggers/preferences before we begin.
i like being friends/chatting ooc with my writing partners. i suppose this isn’t a requirement but a preference.
instead of making separate plot posts for each idea i have, I'll summarize them here and you can like or reach out about the ideas you want to write!
and if we want to create from scratch, that's cool, too.
so, here are some plots that have been stirring in my brain recently:
she’s the boss — my muse and Harry are coworkers; she’s 25 and he’s 30. he’s in a senior role at a creative studio, where her boss reports to him. he’s an eternal bachelor and has no plans of settling down; she’s among the most talented new hires and they are extremely attracted to each other. their environment is somewhat laid back yet maintains corporate elements—but going out as a group is a huge part of their culture. when the night ends in sex, he makes it clear this can only be physical, and she agrees not to jeopardize her work situation. but he likes her. he thinks she’s mind-blowing, and it’s hard to impress him. she melts whenever she sees him, hears him, feels him. everyone at work suspects they’re fucking but no one knows for sure—he won’t confirm or deny. as they grow more domestic, jealousy arises for each party at the realization they're both free to do as they please—"the problem is you're here with him, and it's bothering me, and i don't like that it's bothering me." apple cheeks — she’s a budding creative director at a fashion house or record label. she's living between London and LA, building her portfolio and network, and creating genuine connections. she's quick-witted, grounded, creative, and talented—revered for her fairy-like aura when she meets new humans. she attends a private after-party in LA with her friend who knows the venue’s owner. still getting used to being around a more elite crowd, she doesn't view herself as more or less than any of them. to her, they're all humans—including Harry, who approaches her. mutual curiosity and warm banter ignite between them; there's an immediate, evident attraction, but her friend has to head out early, and she won’t let her leave alone. she lingers on Harry's mind. weeks later, she joins her friend at one of Harry's shows. he isn't expecting to see her, but when he does, he's locked in. his eyes are on her—her dancing, her aura, her being — “i apologize if i seem a bit distracted this evening…” melted — Harry is a Patrick Verona type—only out of high school, in the real world. he’s a fine artist and bartender/dealer, a dichotomy mirroring the depths of his intellect. tattooed, tight-lipped, and taunting, New York City is his playground. he finds ecstasy in the short-lived highs of orgasm to a hit—and he has plenty of each. he’s not looking for anything when she stumbles into the bar with her girlfriends, but he can’t exactly look elsewhere once she’s arrived. her fiancé, away on business, can’t make her climax if his life depended on it—and while she may be marrying into his shit load of money, she wouldn’t say she’s happy. she finds Harry’s stern exterior somewhat hilarious, especially since she’s had a few. but his ice melts with her fire, and she can’t remember the last time she’s wanted to taste someone’s mouth so much.

weezer has some pretty crazy stories because its frontman rivers cuomo had a crazy life. he was named after three footballers in the 1970 world cup and almost named Apple (they were in New York City) and his brother was named Leaves. his dad left when he was 4 and he grew up extremely spiritually (spent the first few years of his life in a zen center and the next in Yogaville) and had to go to school under the name Peter Kitts. he wanted to be a footballer but gave up on that when his right leg grew to be 2 inches shorter than his left, and focused on music. he started out in a metal band (Avant-Garde, later Zoom) and then eventually formed Weezer with some guys he was introduced to by Pat Finn (not pat wilson) and they recorded a demo together called The Kitchen Tape to attract producers and try to get signed to a major label (didn’t work). they then worked with Ric Ocasek to produce The Blue Album. rivers later had to re-record all the guitar parts on each song after Jason Cropper, their guitarist, left. but it turned out all right in the end :)
thank you for sharing

history of panic! at the disco except I’m only a moderate fan, so it’s not 100% accurate and I had to fill in some gaps with my imagination, so you definitely shouldn’t quote me on any of this
it is currently 1 am and this is the only thing in my head, so let’s go.
have I listened to every p!atd song? yes. do I know the history? absolutely not.
so, Las Vegas, right? there’s a bunch of high school guys who are in a band and everything is going great, but uh oh, they need some back up vocals. local loser teen Brendon Urie comes to the rescue with his mediocre singing skills (he can’t sing) (at least not yet) so the band reluctantly takes him on. they play a few shows, so pretty good for a high school band, then they release an album. did they get signed to a record label first? uhhhh, I’m gonna say yes. its Vegas, they might as well have been.
so they write their first album, “a fever you can’t sweat out”, and it does well! “I write sins not tragedies” does absolutely fantastic in particular. it’s emo, it’s young, and their target audience approves.
riding off that high, they do what any other self respecting cool, hip, emo band would do and they write a psychedelic folk album. because duh. and using my knowledge that the first track states “we’re so sorry we’ve been gone”, the album took a minute to make and produce. Two years to be exact. And that’s exact exact. A whole 24 months. Released it on fever’s anniversary and everything. Also; at this point, one of the band members dropped out. probably a drummer. their name? uhh, idk, probably frank, david, or pete,,
so they write another album. it’s called “vices and virtues” and it uses a bit more tech and it’s a good sound and it goes a bit more back into their rock and roll roots. they continue with their thing of going super heavy into eccentric album themes and where all these cool steampunk outfits in the mvs and on the album cover. then ryan ross leaves. and this makes lots of people sad because he’s ryan ross. but the album’s good, so there’s some consolation. also some of the other members leave with him. the bass player dipped and their drummer flaked again. he didn’t want to go on without ryan ross’s ryan ross-ness and honestly who can blame him? also fun fact! the bass player left for completely non-ryan ross related reasons. his parrot brother passed away and it really took a toll on the family. and no I’m actually not joking because another fun fact! parrots live really long and a lot of the times in families they’re raised along with the children and they become so bonded to the family that oftentimes they’re considered an actual part of it. I found that out from a podcast when one of the hosts said her ex had a parrot for a brother which made me break down laughing, but that’s honestly really neat. anyways.
after that they, you guessed it, write another album. this one’s called “too weird to live, too rare to die”. the album cover is very cool™️ and so is the music. and they have a new bass player! his name is dallon james weekes and he is actually The coolest person ever. lots of fans are upset with the new album because it’s missing ryan ross, but dallon makes up for it. Then he leaves immediately after they finish touring for the album. boohoo.
it’s the summer of 2016. death of a bachelor has just been released. I’m at an outlet mall with my family and am standing under a giant tree trying to catch some shade from the texas heat that burns on my black hair and my brother pokes me in the arm. he’s got apple music opened up to the album Death of a Bachelor by Panic! At the Disco. he asks me if I’ve ever heard of them. I say no. he offers me an earbud and I happily take it . he presses play on a certain track; LA devotee. I’m instantly transported to another world. the sound is like nothing I’ve ever heard before. it’s not like the Spanish music my grandma always plays or christian music or 80s songs my mom sings in the car or the show tunes I sing with my friends or the classic rock my dad always blasts. it’s different. and it sounds so distinctively like me.
suddenly I’m emo. a few weeks later, I’m at a sleepover and we’re singing death of a bachelor and I mess up one (1) lyric and one of the other kids calls me a fake fan. at that exact moment in time I make the decision to religiously listen to and memorize every single lyric off the death of a bachelor album. and I did. so take that, julia. (we’re still friends)(she absolutely does not listen to panic anymore)
oh hey, would you look at that. pray for the wicked just came out. for the first time ever, I count down the days, then the minutes to an album release. it’s really fun.
and uhhh, that’s it. it’s just one guy at this point.

biography.
in what can only be called a stroke of luck, beyza was born as the fourth and last child to the kilic family in manchester, england. to parents who early on taught her that there was nothing quite as important as family. she never lacked anything really, the apple of the eye to not only her parents but also her siblings, never lacking attention for all of the small performances she put on for them. if there was one thing beyza knew from the moment she was born it was that she wanted to be a star. a shining star, so bright she'd outdo all the stars in the sky. so despite her rough skills, her family had to endure endless musical and theatrical performances, with beyza in the starring role. often she'd convince her next older sister to join her in her endeavors, the other inhabitants of the kilic household always had a hard time saying no to their youngest and her dark eyes, shining in excitement.
as it had to be, beyza held on to her dreams of stardom until her teenage years. playing many a starring roles in school musicals. finally, at 16, she once more convinced her older sister to put on an act with her, for a casting show. they got rather far on that show, being the publics favorite but not quite managing to win in the finale. while beyza was heartbroken, fate still had a few surprises in store for her. and so, a bbc producer soon got in touch with the family, explaining they were interested of sending beyza and her sister to the esc with a song they had already picked. apparently it would suit their youthful charme perfectly, they were looking for somebody who could portray the vibe of the song to perfection. while beyza's parents and her sister were slightly uncertain about the whole proposal, beyza was immediately convinced. at now 17, she could imagine no better way to kickstart her music career than being seen on a stage by the entirety of europe. as per usual, beyza eventually got what she wanted and both sisters were off to the esc.
while their performance was flawless, from the choreographed dance to the harmonies, the song was - well, rather ridiculous to be rather honest. some would say it was so bad it was good in a way, and they did end up landing their spot in the hall of fame of truly iconically bad esc entries. however, what it wasn't was the kickstart to her career she had imagined it to be. instead, beyza came back home and to school only to here endless ridicule about their act. while she managed to hold her head high and not give in to their words, for the first time she feld her believe in her dream waver a little. what if she wasn't supposed to be a star after all ? what was she without that dream ?
having finished school, beyza and her sister still tried to make it work as a sibling duo. they were making your classic brit pop, often combined with rather extensive dancing routines. however, they never made it further than the local radio shows or occasional morning shows - mostly still riding on their questionable esc fame. knowing full well that music might not ever be able to sustain her, beyza also got into uni to attain a degree in theatrical and media makeup, an interest she had picked up, since it had always been at the periphery of her industry work. at 21 beyza started feeling really discouraged, it was around that time that her parents realized it was getting to her to a worrying degree, trying to encourage her to perhaps focus on uni more so than anything esle. however, things only got worse. out of seemingly nowhere, a reputable record label contacted them. while the brunette was over the moon, feeling closer to her dreams than ever before for only a second, she soon realized that they were only interested in signing her sister as a solo artist.
this had always been beyza's big dream, her dragging her sister into it more than anything else. still, she knew it had become her older sister's dream somewhere along the way as well. she also knew it was highly unlikely for them to ever get a chance like this one again. and so, she told her sister to sign. heart heavy and the smile on her face about as forced as it could be, she still wished only the best for her. she had just finished her degree and suddenly life felt painfully empty but still, she tried to hide it behind her broad smile she'd usually sport. she was working, mostly on set for different tv shows. somehow close to her dreams, yet so far away. sometimes people would recognize her from their esc performance and she'd smile and make a half-hearted joke about just how bad their song had been. if she'd make them herself nobody else would get the chance to laugh at her shattered dreams.
it wasn't until she took the chance and visited her brother, who had moved to nyc a while ago, that beyza realized how toxic remaining in her home environment had been for her. for the month she went to visit him, she felt more alive than she had in a long time. with a lot of encouragement from emre (her brother) and ultimately her parents as well, a 22 year old beyza decided to apply for jobs in new york city - among many others one of her applications went to her brother's place of work: revolution records. she hadn't estimated her chances to be very good but somehow her portfolio as well as first impression during the interview must have convinced them. the most memorable thing to beyza being one of the revolution employees telling her they considered her to be especially qualified due to her experience in the industry - it had been a while since she'd been able to look at that with any degree of positivity.
at this point she's been working for revolution for three years and couldn't be happier with her job. while sometimes she still wonders how her life would have looked like if she'd been the one on stage, instead of behind the scenes. still, she finds a lot of gratification at working in the industry. she also simply likes the feeling of making people feel comfortable and confident to go on stage, working on visual concepts with them and having an open ear for artists and her co-workers. she'd often go on tour with some of the artists and over the last two years she's additionally build up a sizeable social media presence. starting out with critiques of celebrity makeup looks on tiktok, she has transitioned into making makeup related content on both youtube and tiktok, sometimes inviting along some revolution friends. viewers of her content really enjoy both her insights into the industry and true professionalism and beyza enjoys getting to share some tips and stories and perhaps the opportunity of being known to some part of the public for something positive once more.
wanted connections.
a band/artist she's recently went on tour with - we can talk about fun things that might have happened on tour ? generally beyza would probably closely work with them, often on their team so i imagine their would be some degree of closeness. or not at all ? this can be dramatic in some way or wholesome, let's talk about it.
besties - genuinely, beyza is a very very friendly person and i'd love to find her a solid group of friends here. they can travel together, brunch on sundays, constantly sending each other memes and laugh and cry about all their shared stories. honestly, just give me wholesome ride or dies here because beyza would literally do anything for her friends.
drinking / partying friends - beyza really loves going out, these are the people she'd often ask to accompany her after hours. are they super close otherwise or do they just really like partying together ?
ex (open for all genders) - they got into a relationship after beyza started at revolution. maybe it was a bit head over heels, maybe it's not actually too smart to date at work. however, they were both utterly smitten by each other and somehow convinced they'd make it work. depending on who this person is, i'd like for us to figure out some solid reasons why it didn't work out. kinda imagine it would be more the circumstances, than compatability. maybe because beyza has to go on tour with artists sometimes it was too long distance, maybe there is some sort of difficult public perception thing if they're an artist ? there is a lot of room for creativity here as well.
uncomfortable strangers - they don't really know each other, only see each other occasionally at the company. ur muse is an artist and beyza always thinks they're looking at her strangely. maybe they really do, maybe it's just beyza's bad conciousness because she once gave a scathing review to a makeup look they wore. have they truly seen it or is beyza just imagining this tension? who knows.
aside from that i would love to see somebody beyza perhaps has a one-sided crush on (or the other way around), soembody she's in a fun sort of flirtationship with, someone who constantly asks her for makeup advice, an aerial yoga buddy, a bad influence, an artist/band she really admires and basically anything we can come up with. give me all of them * grabby hands *.

so a couple of weeks ago when i was doing my big listen through of the whole mountain goats discography, i was gonna write a post about all of the mountain goats stuff that was officially released in one form or another at some point, but isn't currently available on bandcamp/other digital music services etc, and how likely i thought it'd be they'd get re-released at some point.. 🤔
and i didn't end up writing it bcos it would have taken a while and i didn't know how interested people would be in it.. but then today out of the blue, the "new asian cinema" ep suddenly got a re-release?? 😳 and it sounds like a couple of the other old eps could be on the way too, so maybe it is worth writing after all 😆
so, here goes..!! be warned, there's quite a lot though.. 😅
the yo-yo eps (new asian cinema / isopanisad radio hour / devil in the shortwave): a bunch of eps released between 1998-2002, i was originally gonna lump these in with the other eps, but with "new asian cinema's" re-release, it looks like all 3 of these are gonna be available again soon!!
"letters from belgium" single (with "nova scotia" + "attention all pickpockets" b-sides): i separated this one from the other singles because it was released on the 4AD label, and the other singles from that era (see america right, palmcorder yajna, dilaudid) are available so.. i'm honestly not sure why this one is missing?? 😵‍💫 but hopefully it'll get re-released and join the others some time!!
other singles/eps (on juhu beach / jam eater blues / satanic messiah): there's nothing to really separate how likely/unlikely i think these getting a re-release would be, but they were all p limited releases, so it'd be great to finally see them widely available, and i could definitely see it happening sometime!!
split singles/eps (beside recordings vol. 1.2 / black pear tree / moon colony bloodbath): nothing to really separate these ones from the aboves ones either, although idk if these being split releases with other artists could complicate things at all?? 🤔 but it'd be a shame if they never got re-released someday, especially with how good "black pear tree" is 😧
bonus tracks (naming day, they are stone swallowers, keeping house from "get lonely" / toolshed, last man on earth from "heretic pride"): getting into the realm of things i don't think are too likely now, the "get lonely" bonus tracks were available on the japanese cd iirc, and the "heretic pride" ones were itunes/amazon bonus tracks respectively.. toolshed is actually still available on itunes/apple music, but i don't think last man on earth is available anymore, and the kind of.. obscureness of these tracks probably damages their chances of getting a re-release, unless the albums themselves ever get reissued?? 😕 but it's not impossible, maybe it could happen for their 20th anniversaries in a few years!!
demo albums (come, come to the sunset tree / the life of the world in flux / all survivors pack): the bonus demos for "the sunset tree," "the life of the world to come" and "all eternals deck," it'd really surprise me if these ever got a wide release cos i think part of the appeal of them is that they're supposed to be like.. limited edition releases, especially in the case of "come, come the sunset tree" which has almost a kind of legendary status 😳
online releases (hospicio de huerfanos / songs for vamsidasa babaji / three for mike g / seven for australia / other random songs etc): at various points john's released songs or bundles of songs online for various reasons, more than i could list here.. i honestly can't see these ever getting an Official release though, it was kind of the point of them to be like, ephemeral and not ~proper releases~ 🤔
compilation appearances: so there's a tonne of compilations tmg have done songs for.. everything on this list before 2001 (except for "the pieman" 😦) was released on the protein source of the future/bitter melon farm/ghana compilations but everything since has never like.. reappeared outside of their compilations?? i think it'd be really cool to do like, a 4th installment in the protein source/bitter melon/ghana series gathering them all up in one place.. but i think the chances of that happening are honestly p slim 😅
taboo vi: the homecoming: the very first mountain goats release, john's been p outspoken about disowning this one, which is why it almost makes bottom of the list.. but who knows, in 8 years it'll be the 40th anniversary of it's release, maybe time will change his mind and it could get a special anniversary re-release?? 😆
hail and farewell, gothenburg: the never officially released follow-up to "sweden," john was p upset abt it getting leaked, which is why it makes bottom of the list, even below taboo vi 🙁 there's no way i could ever see this getting an official release, according to john it was never even intended to see the light of day in the first place 😔
and as far as i know, that p much wraps up about everything?? 😅 so here's hoping w/ the re-releases of the yo-yo eps that some of this other stuff starts cropping up again too!! 🥳

Deliver My Tune vs. Other Music Distributors: What Sets Them Apart
In today’s digital age, getting your music heard by a global audience has never been more accessible. With the advent of streaming platforms, independent artists have a golden opportunity to distribute their music across the world, without the need for traditional record labels. However, navigating this process can be challenging for newcomers. That’s where services like Deliver My Tune come into play, offering a streamlined and easy-to-use platform for music distribution. In this article, we’ll explore how Deliver My Tune simplifies the music distribution process, making it an invaluable tool for artists looking to get their music to the masses.
Why Music Distribution Matters
Before diving into the specifics of Deliver My Tune, it’s important to understand why music distribution is crucial for any musician. Distribution is the process of making your music available on various platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more. In the past, physical distribution was the norm, meaning artists needed to press CDs or vinyl and work with stores to sell them. Today, with the dominance of digital streaming, music distribution has taken on a new form — digital distribution.
For independent artists, music distribution is the key to reaching new audiences and building a fanbase. Without a solid distribution strategy, even the most talented musicians may struggle to get their music heard. Digital distribution services like Deliver My Tune make it easy for artists to get their songs onto major platforms, ensuring that listeners can access their work from anywhere in the world.
What is Deliver My Tune?
Deliver My Tune is a digital music distribution service that enables artists to upload their music and distribute it across a wide range of platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and more. The platform offers a seamless process that empowers independent artists, allowing them to maintain full control of their music while reaching a global audience.
One of the standout features of Deliver My Tune is its focus on simplicity. The platform is designed to be user-friendly, ensuring that even artists with minimal technical knowledge can easily navigate the distribution process. This ease of use is one of the key reasons Deliver My Tune has become a popular choice among musicians looking for an affordable and reliable distribution service.
How Does Deliver My Tune’s Music Distribution Process Work?
The music distribution process through Deliver My Tune is broken down into simple, easy-to-follow steps:
Sign Up: The first step is creating an account on the Deliver My Tune platform. This process is straightforward and only requires basic information such as your name, email, and artist details.
Upload Your Music: Once your account is set up, you can upload your tracks. Deliver My Tune supports a variety of file formats, making it accessible for artists who may be working with different types of audio files. It’s important to ensure your tracks are high-quality, as this will influence how your music is perceived on streaming platforms.
Select Platforms: After uploading your music, you’ll be prompted to select the platforms on which you’d like to distribute your music. Deliver My Tune has partnerships with a wide range of digital streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and many others. You can choose to distribute your music to all available platforms or select specific ones based on your audience and goals.
Release Date and Metadata: Setting the release date is an important step in the distribution process. Deliver My Tune allows you to select the date on which your music will be available to the public. You’ll also need to enter important metadata such as the song title, artist name, album art, and genre. Metadata is crucial because it helps platforms categorize and promote your music to the right listeners.
AI Mastering (Optional): Deliver My Tune also offers an AI-powered mastering service that allows you to enhance the audio quality of your tracks before distributing them. This feature is particularly beneficial for independent artists who may not have access to professional mastering services. AI mastering ensures that your tracks sound polished and ready for streaming on any platform.
Distribution and Monitoring: After completing the setup, Deliver My Tune takes care of the rest. Your music is distributed to the platforms you selected, and you can monitor its progress through the Deliver My Tune dashboard. The dashboard provides real-time insights into how your music is performing, including the number of streams, downloads, and other valuable data.
Collecting Royalties: One of the most important aspects of music distribution is collecting royalties from your streams. Deliver My Tune makes it easy to track and collect your royalties, ensuring you get paid for every stream your music receives. This transparent system allows you to see exactly how much you’re earning and where your revenue is coming from.
The Benefits of Using Deliver My Tune
There are several reasons why Deliver My Tune stands out as a top choice for music distribution:
User-Friendly Interface: The platform is designed with simplicity in mind, making it easy for artists to navigate the distribution process.
Wide Range of Platforms: Deliver My Tune partners with all major streaming platforms, giving your music the best chance of being discovered by new listeners.
Cost-Effective: Independent artists often operate on tight budgets, and Deliver My Tune provides an affordable solution for distributing music without sacrificing quality.

So yesterday I was looking at jobs there was one for w company and I wanted to try talk to someone about the role before i have to volunteer at a dysabilty conference all of most next week, so i thought I'd ask for her extension or cell phone number, I messaged the instant chat where they told me they consulted their team lead and asked me to come on down to their head office, so i got changed and went down to the bus into town, got into the building front entry way when I called their local customer line and tried explain that I was in the lobby but unable to access the floor as it was a restricted floor and if she could come down or someone else on her half when a business analyst and a sde (software developer engineer) tell me they don't really have a front desk, and she's currently away from the office working from home, when i explained why I came down to see her as I thought she may of wanted to see me.
We talked a little bit,
Then I walked over to the local help information kiosk where I was telling them about trying to figure out all the things you can do if you visited our country, I had a few ideas but nothing concerte, they said they made a fake kind of best of areas and regions in a map on their wall.
Tumblr media
I then walked to a record shop and they said they did not have any John denver, I stock but one at the distributor.
I then walked over to a store like best buy, and asked the same thing where the answer was that they said the only one vinyl in stock but it's is in Hamilton, and it's one of the Muppet ones.
Then i went to real Grovey, books, records, posters, cool shit, second hand cd/vinyl. Hipster paradise. I saw they had the greatest hits volume 2 and 3,and I had to snag some days are diamonds.
Tumblr media
I then proceeded to walk over the hill to glengarry Wines and fine spirits thinking what I'm gonna do for tom's 30th when an American asked for Jameson's and I went oh? That's tom's favorite but i wanted something rather different when he said I'd take the black label.
I asked him where he's from because he sounded yank, he was born in Brooklyn but lives in Vermont. And i said oh? That makes sense i said mines hidden being i was born here and then got two passports and birth certificates yaydada, i ask him why he's out here he said he needs to finish up some vfx on a new apple tv show, when i said last one i herd was chief of war, and he said that's what I'm working on.
He said how'd you know i said i bumped into one of the writers a few months ago, and he said oh no shit. I said his name and he laughed and when the clerk asked me for together or Separate I said separate he said together and he bought me toms birthday gift, so i had to tell him about my intersting script idea for a tv show and he said I've traveled 30 hours and just got off the plane but, you just blew my mind.
I asked to add him on LinkedIn as he's a visual vfx kind of guy, those are really interesting people. He said he worked on an old TV show that I've only herd of but unable to "track down"
And said you'll probably have to show me if we end up in Vermont, where I made a joke about Ben and Jerry's.
And after that i went old back home, got a burger king vegan chicken samwitch, played d&d and then got off for the night.
Today getting some last minute stuff done before tomorrow and picking up some pumpkin seeds 32 grams of protein per 100 grams now i gotta learn how to roast them.
Tomorrow we're going to rotorua for 5 nights.
That's about it, today was a yawn.

New Apple Watch Series 10: Bigger Display, Slimmer Design
Tumblr media
Apple Watch Series 10 rumors
The Apple Watch Series 10 is destined to become a device that will go down in history. As the tenth generation of Apple’s groundbreaking wristwatch, it is rumoured to include considerable advancements while maybe honouring the milestone with a particular branding twist. This is because the smartwatch is the flagship product of Apple. Examining the rumours and anticipations that surround this highly anticipated wearable device is something that they will do.
Series 10 Apple Watch
Possibly, the Apple watch Series 10 will get a significant redesign in the near future. There are reports that indicate a significant increase in display size for both models, with the possibility of reaching dimensions that are comparable to the 1.93-inch screen that is now seen on the Apple Watch Ultra. It is possible that the larger model will possibly feature a display that is two inches in size, providing additional space for applications, watch faces, and fitness statistics.
It is interesting to note that despite the larger screen, the total footprint of the watch is anticipated to be smaller. This is due to developments in display technology as well as the miniaturisation of internal components. Consequently, this may result in a more pleasant wearing experience as well as a more streamlined appearance.
A Decade Well Spent in Excellence
It is predicted that the Apple watch Series 10 would be equipped with a powerful new chip, which will build upon Apple’s rich history of producing wearables that are focused on performance. It is possible that this improvement may pave the way for improved app performance, better data processing, and even the possibility of laying the framework for future  artificial intelligence functions that will be included on the wrist.
Question Regarding the Anniversary
Apple may decide to abandon the regular naming scheme and market the Apple Watch Series 10 as a special anniversary edition, similar to how they labelled the iPhone X in 2017. This would be in light of the fact that the Series 10 will represent ten years since the introduction of the Apple Watch. When compared to earlier generations, this may represent a more significant leap forward in terms of functionality.
Components of Health: A Complicated Mix
Apple Watch updates typically include the addition of new capabilities that track the wearer’s health. It was speculated that the Apple watch Series 10 would have features such as monitoring of blood pressure and detection of sleep apnea; however, sources imply that these features would be delayed due to technological obstacles. Within the context of testing, blood pressure monitoring in particular appears to be experiencing reliability challenges, and it is possible that Apple will require further time to improve the technology.
The current legal issue with Masimo Corporation may bring up more complications for the identification of sleep apnea, which is highly dependent on data regarding blood oxygen levels. There is, however, the chance that Apple will mention these capabilities during the launch event, but then postpone the release of these features until they are fully functional.
On the plus side, it is possible that the Series 10 will see advancements in the health features that are now present. There is a possibility that we will see increasingly sophisticated features for tracking workouts, improved metrics for monitoring sleep, and possibly even new sensor integrations for the purpose of recording extra health data.
With a larger display comes a greater need for battery life
Larger displays often use more battery. Apple’s organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display may feature a new thin-film transistor (TFT) technology with low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO). This could boost power efficiency and address the battery capacity issue caused by larger screens. The performance of the battery could also be improved further by the implementation of software optimisations for the new semiconductor.
Apple Watch Ecosystem: Expanding Opportunities
Apple Watch success is due to its easy integration with the iPhone and the growing app developer ecosystem. Considering the growing cosmos, it is conceivable that the Series 10 will profit from it. New watch faces, enhanced app functionality, and possibly even a more profound integration with Apple’s health and fitness services are all things that we can anticipate going forward. Additionally, with the rumoured performance improvement, the Series 10 might potentially open the door to wristwatch applications that are more complex and equipped with a greater number of features.
A Glance with Regards to the Future
Apple’s wearable strategy may change with the debut of the Apple Watch Series 10, which is slated to be upgraded. Even without anniversary branding, the larger display, faster performance, and potential health features are enticing. Apple’s focus on battery life and a more simplified design shows its commitment to improving the wristwatch experience, even if some health tracking functionalities are delayed. The Apple Watch Series 10 paves the way for wrist-worn technologies. Apple Watch enters its second decade.
Apple Watch Series10 release date
While the Apple Watch Series 10 (also known as the Apple Watch X) has no official release date yet, it is anticipated to be launched in late summer or early fall of 2024 based on Apple’s customary release pattern. Usually, this falls around Apple’s September event.
Remember that none of this stuff has been tested or validated. Apple may choose a different route despite these reports and disclosures. We must wait until September 2024 to see what the Apple Watch Series 10 will bring.

A-T-4 048 A Marley Marl Mix
I mistakenly assume people know influential figures like Marley Marl. Nowadays Marley is know as a hip hop innovator because of what he was doing with sampling like isolating drum beats (albeit a few years after Art Of Noise and y'know Marley Marl remixes Buffalo Gals and this gets him his job with Mr Magic on New York's first all rap radio show, the remix he says changed the course of his life, so I'm guessing he's probably aware of Trevor Horn and his production outfit, but that said, within American hip hop circles who don't know any better, yep! he was a pioneer. You could say Americans being oblivious to things that happen outside America is as American as apple pie [apple pie also comes from England]). In the mid 1980s Marley Marl forms The Juice Crew and through to the end of the decade he produces a string of foundational hip hop records (including imo some of the best hip hop ever made), UNSUNG have just premiered a video on Juice Crew and their label Cold Chillin' (who Marley later sued). What is talked about less is Marley Marl's contribution to the Hip Hop and RnB sound with his dj blends broadcast on his radio show and remixes like Paula Abdul's Straight Up, Stephanie Mills' Something In The Way (You Make Me Feel) that Kid Capri made his own, and of course En Vogue's Hold On
In Hip Hop's 50th year Marley was awarded BET Hip Hop Awards' ultimate honour, the I Am Hip Hop award. It was presented by Timberland and Swizz Beats and Marley was given a tribute performance by LL Cool J and Rakim (Eric B. was Marley Marl's friend and roommate, Eric B. For President and other tracks on Paid In Full were recorded on Marley Marl's home studio setup)
High praise indeed. Marley Marl is big deal
I posted Roxanne's Revenge last week the 1984 record Marley made with Juice Crew member Roxanne Shanté but Marley Marl's name had been printed on record centre labels for a while. In 1983 he'd made a record with his then girlfriend Dimples D, an answer record to Run DMC's Sucker Mcs (yes there is a pattern). Perhaps it's his association with Mr Magic but from the get go Marley is working with some well established dance music names in New York, he mixes Glen Adam's Chicken Scratch (which was recorded at Blank Tapes) and CDIII's Get Tough which was put out by Prelude Records. The year he releases Roxanne's Revenge you can see he's working on those connections. He begins mixing records for the Aleems (both their own group Aleem featuring Leroy Burgess and Captain Rock), Marley Marl works up the Bonus Beats mix of Magic's Message for his boss Mr Magic with Davy DMX (who was a member of Orange Krush and worked alongside Larry Smith and Russell Simmons) Magic's Message was produced by Spyder D and Patrick Adams (Adams would go on to engineer most of Eric. B. & Rakim's albums) the exec producer is Steve Rifkind who is the founder of Loud Records (Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep). George Kerr also employs Marley Marl to mix a few of the early hip hop records he's making with Vaughan Mason
Carlos C. Ward - A New Way (Dub) more cowbell
youtube
Captain Rock - Cosmic Blast (Dub) who did the beatboxing? This is one of the tracks Marley Marl mixed for the Aleem brothers
youtube
The next two are mixed for George Kerr, both are co-written and performed by Duane Jones. Hassan & 7-11's other 1984 single City Life is mixed by Jazzy Jay and engineered by Jay Burnett, it's well worth checking out
Hassan & 7-11 - Emotions Can Be Serious (Dub)

K'mch - Break Easy (The Free & Easy Way)

Marley Marl mixes two records with Jim Cline for Express Records in 1984
Just Four - Games Of Life Tricky Tee is a member of Just Four

the other is Lets Get It On by Les Love & The Love Kids
Mr. Magic - Magic's Message (Bonus Beat Mix)

Bria and Brad met Joyce and Donn at a restaurant in Agoura Hills, where he and his brothers were from. She had been there with Mike for Thanksgiving and Christmas while they were dating. It was a nice community with around twenty thousand people and mountains for miles! She remembered Mike telling her that he, Brad, and Rob grew up there. They were friends from high school, who went their separate ways after graduating. Rob was a couple of years behind them because he was younger.
But he was a great drummer! He found that out when they were in a band together. She thought of how cool it was to start a band with guys from high school. Blue Table was a trendy European-style café with vegan options. Perfect choice for them. She dressed comfortably but fashionably with a white t-shirt, button-up sweater, and a black skirt that went down to her knees.
It was elastic to give her stomach room to breathe. She didn’t want to buy maternity clothes until she was in her second trimester. Just in case. He approved her outfit before they left. His parents were liberal, but he still wanted her to make a good first impression. That meant not showing too much skin. She didn’t wear dresses that often because she found them uncomfortable. The fabric never kept her as warm as pants did. She wore them when she had to.
They hugged her while introducing themselves. Hi, I’m Bria. It’s nice to meet you. After sitting down, they asked her about her name. Where was it from? It was French. Was she French? Her father was. He was from Alsace, which was on the border of Germany and Switzerland. What about her mother? She didn’t know as she had died when she was six months old.
They got to watch her and Brad joke around, especially when she decided to order something with chicken. He jokingly called her a murderer. Tasty, tasty murder. He laughed. As they continued asking her routine questions, they found out her mother died from AIDS and how she was infected; her father’s death, and her schooling. She had gone to a French immersion school where she learned French, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese. Her Chinese was elementary level.
She spent a lot of time in Cannes with her father during school breaks. He had an apartment there. She and Mike talked about going there in the distant future. They also discussed going to Japan, though she would need to translate for him. How did she meet Brad? It was through Mike, who she was dating at the time. He introduced her to Joe, Brad, and Rob.
Brad mentioned how she liked to bring her cats when they were in the studio. How many did she have? Two.
“I adopted Tiny about a year ago. She’s a Scottish Fold. Then, I just adopted Garfield. He’s a Domestic Shorthair.”
“Tiny? Where did she get that name from?”
“The people who bred her gave her that name because she was the smallest in the litter. They didn’t think she would survive. Both cats are very friendly.”
“Is Garfield orange?”
“He’s orange and white. He reminds me of those frozen creamsicles you have in the summer.”
They knew what she was talking about. Though she was from a lot of money, they found her to be humble. They could see what their son liked about her. She was very beautiful but she was also very engaging and respectful towards them. What did she do for money? She was an investor. Investor? Yes, she invested in Apple computers. Brad mentioned how she offered to invest in their new record label. How much? Ten percent.
Donn thought that was a good investment. Since they recently discovered she was pregnant, they had yet to make any concrete decisions. They were more throwing out ideas. Joyce asked about her religion. She was raised without religion, though she respected other people’s beliefs and religions. They were Jewish, which she knew about.
Would she be okay if they raised their child Jewish? Yeah, she could keep an open mind. The only thing she would want was to follow the pediatrician’s guidelines for a vegan diet.
“If the pediatrician recommends that we don’t introduce a vegan diet until they are whatever age, then I’m going to follow that. If they say it’s okay for them to have meat substitutes, then that’s fine too. I would rather listen to the experts.”
“We have no problem with that. What about vaccines?”
“Oh, yeah. Of course. I’m not against that at all.”
Brad was thrilled his parents were getting along well with his girlfriend! He imagined they were more open-minded than Brad’s conservative parents. They were welcoming her in with open arms. While they might disagree on some aspects of how she raised their child, he could be sure they would work together on finding a middle ground.
They were not going to have a nanny, as she would be a stay-at-home mother. They would have to work around his schedule with Linkin Park. He did want to visit Cannes with her sometime. It sounded like a nice place. They were all happy that she was willing to learn about their Jewish beliefs. It wasn’t just a religion to them, it involved everything in their lives. Did they approve? Yes. They would invite her to join them in their family celebrations.
During their meal, they saw a homeless man being kicked out for not having enough money to pay. He tried explaining how hungry he was. Brad got the feeling she was going to do something. He was right when she grabbed her wallet and pulled out some money. Joyce asked what was going on. He told them to wait and see. They saw her talking to the waitress while handing her a fifty dollar bill.
“Get whatever you want. It’s on me.”
“Thank you! God bless you!”
Brad had to laugh. His parents were impressed by her generosity. That was just who she was. She never looked down on anyone. Donn commended her for what she did. Thank you.
When they got home, the cats were meowing loudly like they had never been fed in their lives! We’re starving to death, humans! Meow! They followed them into the kitchen, where she got their food out. After dispersing it evenly, she set the plates on the floor. Thank you, human! Brad looked down at them. Cats were demanding, especially when they were hungry!
“They act as if they have never been fed a day in their lives”, she joked.
He laughed. “I don’t think I’ve seen a more demanding animal.”
She excused herself to change clothes. He sat down with them. Yes, but they were so adorable. Garfield was bigger than his sister, even though he was months younger than her. Cats were interesting animals. They were dependent and independent at the same time. Garfield finished eating and found his way into his lap. Only his little ears stuck out. He reached in and petted him.
When Tiny was done eating, she looked for her little brother. He reached his paw out startling her. Hey! She poked her head in and swiped her paw back at him. Their play fighting reminded him of how he used to play with his brothers when they were younger. They used to annoy each other. That meant he usually got into trouble because he was the oldest. He missed those days. His brothers were older and he was so proud of them.
When Bria came back down, she was dressed in the same t-shirt but with sweatpants. She joined them on the floor. He put his arm around her shoulders and kissed her forehead. It had been a very fun afternoon. Now, she was ready for a rest. Being pregnant meant she got tired more easily. She was more than happy to just sit there and play with the cats.

No Labels, exactly what are they and for me this is more of the same nonsense that isn’t going to produce anything and is a big waste of time,,,,but don’t you want new parties you ask?
Yes I do want new parties, but from the little bit I have read they really aren’t a new party even though they are trying to get on ballots in states as if they are a political party. You cannot make any headway or productive change if you just try to upset the apple cart in one election. As of this morning they are on the ballot in 14 states and do not have a ticket yet. Not having named candidates right now though isn’t an issue. Shoot the Dems and Reps haven’t had one primary vote yet so No Labels does not need to be in a hurry.
And what really irks me about all the No Labels talk is that this is a broken record. Does anyone remember American Elect? And yes the exact same Democrats who were against them are against No Labels because they are afraid that they will siphon votes from the Democratic Candidate which is presumable Joe Biden, but not guaranteed yet. Essentially the Democrats fear any moderate candidate outside of them is not good for them. Yet if they had done what is right for the working and middle class all along these attempts at independent candidates would gain no head way. So first they should not be allowed to prevent No Labels from being on the ballot anywhere because second their failure here is their own fault. And going back to first point, it is un-American to deny people the right to be on a ballot unless they try to shoot themselves onto it.
And going back to American Elect moment in time I wrote a post on this blog on December 30, 2011 and a follow up on January 01, 2012. You can go back and check me, however basically I was against the run back then for the same reasons now. You cannot make significant change in the body politic of our country just by electing an independent candidate to the Presidency. Why, well you need a political party in Congress to help support your legislative agenda. Much as the two major parties are failing with new initiatives right now, to get legislation passed you need to have someone bring a bill to the floor of the House and Senate.  Here is one paragraph from the previous post”             Now back to the comments about the America Elect process. I am not going to get into the splitting of the vote, CNN and others are pretty ramped up about that. And yes it could be a concern, but lets take a look at the America Elect group actually winning. The problem is that they have no other support. Legislation gets passed when you have support in Congress and most of the time that comes from your own party. American Elect is not trying to create a third party so they run into a huge wall when dealing with Congress if they win the Presidency.  This would create a gigantic stalemate or even something more interesting where Republicans and Democrats agree on some issues and pass what they want and override Presidential vetos left and right (pun intended). So the goal of America Elect is thwarted by the very group they are trying to by pass to run this country. Basically we get more of the current situation which is partisan arguing and no real and new policy development. And if you are a libertarian you might be able to claim victory this way if the government cannot do anything for four years.
I just copied and pasted and even left the misspelled word from the original post. Here we are almost 12 years later and no one has figured out that to overcome the current morass in Congress you need to bring in full scale change. Well maybe some people have figured that out, but no one is doing anything about it. Go back to my blurb about this blog” an editor is worth their weight in gold, too bad I have neither.” If I had the gold I would at least try to pull something together because I obviously need the editor to make sense of my thoughts to get people to make changes, yet again almost 12 years ago I saw the same attempt as No Labels, explained why it would fail if they won and yet here we go again with no change that would be successful. Anyone wonder why I walk the thin line of madness?
Also if you do go back and read the full two parts of the post it also contains a small history of third parties in the United States. And if you are reading this on Tumblr or Wordpress, you will have to go to blogger or blogspot or whatever to read the original. I basically do the same blog on three platforms, but did not start the other two until sometime later.
No Labels is a waste of time and money, no matter how sincere they may be. If we want real change, we need to do real work. Where is the gold?
No cheers, this is maddening.
