was born and raised in nyc baby ! she’s a true city girl, grew up in lower manhattan ( the financial district if u wanna get specific ) to a family with lots of $$$$ thanks to her father’s position as a ceo of an investment bank located on wall street

life was pretty smooth until she was 17 and her father got arrested for embezzlement and fraud </3 it was actually a huge scandal for the investment bank he worked for because it was a whole group of higher ups who had been in on these crimes. basically a bunch of already rich men trying to get richer ... disgusting ik /:

her life changed pretty drastically after that ! the hwang name was all over the news, their family was pretty much disgraced by high society in nyc, not a very fun time for anyone but especially not for violet’s mom

after her dad got arrested violet was uhh high key furious with him for ruining their lives with his greed and she wanted nothing to do with him, but her mom couldnt let go. she was still defending him, spending the money they had left on lawyers which included the money the family had set aside for violet’s trust fund that she would have had access to once she was 18 </3

so her plans for college changed pretty drastically JSDBJWBDJW ( goodbye ivy league education ) she actually ended up getting into the university of toronto for visual studies on an academic scholarship

so she made the big move all on her own....moved into a tiny dorm...and vowed to reinvent herself. she didnt wanna be labeled as the daughter of a white collar criminal anymore so she just made it a point not to talk to much abt her past to anyone

her struggles as someone who grew up with $$$$ turning into a broke college student made for some embarrassing but funny moments <3 luckily though everyone else had their own struggles so no one found it suspicious JSBDJWBDJ

when love alarm launched three years ago, violet had just started college so it was really the Big thing anyone and everyone was talking about. since she’d never been a fan of other dating apps, she wasn’t gonna download it but her roommate at the time convinced her ! at first it was fun, just something she didnt take too seriously

fast forward to graduation and she’s snagged a job as an art director for a little local museum, doing freelance art directing on the side to help pay the bills. low and behold one day a photographer hires her to be the art director to a shoot they’re doing for a badge club member who was in a very high profile and public relationship at the time

violet ended up working with that photographer and badge club member a handful of times, enough for her to catch fee-🤢 catch feelin-🤢 i cant even say it .. she’d never rung anyone’s love alarm before, so of course her first time had to be with someone who was already taken </3 safe to say she ... freaked out

she was embarrassed above all else, but also heartbroken bc in her head like ... why would someone who literally is part of an exclusive club based on ppl ringing their love alarm care that she rung theirs ? she didnt think it’d be a big deal to them the way it was to her ( but also didn’t stick around long enough to find out jsxbsjbdjw )

when she was offered the block she didn’t hesitate to use it figuring it’s better if no one knows her romantic feelings ever again like that /: she’d delete the app but a part of her still likes knowing there are ppl out there who DO like her like that so ... Rip truly

she comes across as ... kind of a bitch SDJBJWBJWBDW it’s truly not on purpose she just has a pretty serious resting expression most of the time ( so she looks mad or annoyed even when she isn’t ) and she’s pretty difficult to get to know ? not to mention the fact that no one has ever witnessed her ring someone’s love alarm .. so all that combined just makes it easy to assume she’s some sort of ice queen when that’s far from the truth /:

violet really isn’t one to open up too deep to people, but that’s got a lot to do with the past she’s kind of running away from ! so if you’re her friend most of the stuff you know about her is probably surface stuff, but when she’s close to someone she can make that fact hard to realize ? she just has a way with making the people in her life feel important so it’s easy not to be focused on how much you know about her

never bothers to correct the people that misjudge her. if you don’t like her, if you want to make up assumptions and rumors about her, go ahead like violet really won’t stop you which can sometimes make meeting new people difficult </3 if you’ve seen the dating class webdrama chuu was in she’s kinda like oh seyoung’s chara joowon 🤧

if she wants to, though, she’s pretty good at getting people to like her / trust her ! she does this a lot in professional situations, which is why she’s been doing so well as an art director so far despite being so young

she’s also very loyal to her friends ! if you can’t ask for extra sauces at mcdonald’s....if you can’t make a phone call to your credit card company explaining that a $3,000 charge to starbucks wasn’t you.....she’s your girl <3 since she’s relatively not bothered by the way people see her ( unless it has to do with her past ) she’s usually the one speaking up if someone she cares about can’t

after the ... incident ... JSDBWJDBWJ she’s really not a fan of the badge club and everything it stands for ): BUT she continues to do art directing work for a lot of the members when they do photoshoots, or instagram campaigns, or if they have a pop up shop, etc. it’s good money and she needs every penny considering she’s living without support from her family

cannot cook to save her life so she’s always eating out .. this really is why she’s taking those more high profile jobs she can’t budget .. but it’s better, safety wise at least, that she continues wasting her money on takeout aha <3

pretends she’s not a romantic and is all about the ~casual flings~ but really she’s just afraid of serious feelings and the idea of a serious relationship ... it’s the trauma 😔 constantly jokes shes gonna bring the tinder whore era back JWDBWJBDJW she is sick of this true love nonsense ! she’s the most social after a few drinks, since drunk her isn’t burdened by a mind that overthinks literally everything the way she is sober. if you don’t supervise her though she can get pretty carried away and probably get into some kind of trouble so she’s definitely not the person you want to be in charge on a night out !

really wants a dog but doesn’t think she’s cut out to be a pet parent it feels just as scary as the idea of having an actual kid so ... BDWBDJW if you have a pet ? she’s gonna be living vicariously through you <3

freya lockhart has been a medina complex resident for seven years, now. they’re twenty-two years old, and they tend to find a way to turn every conversation into an argument. sometimes when i walk by F24, i hear suncity by khalid playing. lately, i’d say they’re pretty magnetic, but sometimes that’s overwhelmed by the fact that they’re callous. i mean, they usually pay their rent on time, though, and that’s most important fact here. the distorted and desaturated world on the other side of a rainy window pane, detatched glances cast from bleary and bloodshot eyes & fuzzy and distorted recollections of the night before.

right off the bat i want u to know that i’m illiterate

anyways, freya was born & raised in east la w/ her parents and a plethora of extended family/family friends less than a block away. money was Always tight, but the one thing they never really had to worry about was safety bc her dad was a gang leader in their area ( tho it was only rly seen as a gang by the police & the few people in their neighborhood who weren’t colombian lmao ). her dad, saul puentes was like the big man on campus around where they lived, but people liked to rail him for marrying a gringa. ‘we were in love’ is the story he liked to tell, but they were polar opposites — his main focus had always been keeping himself and his family safe, no matter the cost. she, on the other hand, wanted a life she could brag to her friends and colleagues about. clearly, there were some warring factors there.

things were.. how u say.. Tense for the first handful of years of freya’s life, though she thought the entire world of her papa ( saw him as a kinda Hero, especially w/ the way most people deferred to him ). like she’d known her parents weren’t exactly In Love with each other but she just figured that was how all adults acted ( leaving her Uninterested in being married from a young age lmao ).

it was when her dad got arrested that changed things. at first they figured it would blow over & he’d be home in no time, but as evidence kept stacking up, it became less and less likely that he’d be released ( freya was like 8 at the time ). freya’s mom, completely strung out and Over It at this point, packed her and freya’s things & tried to move them out, but freya was uhh Not Having It, like at all, so some of her extended family took her in when her mom gave up trying to fight freya into the cab ( honestly, her mom is a self-centered bitch with no regard for anyone but herself, but i digress )

in the years following, freya continued to visit her dad in prison, always parting with the same promise of freeing him one day ( his bail was set at some outrageous sum, so she’s literally been saving forever ). being so focused on that goal & completely disinterested in going to college, freya dropped right out of high school as soon as she turned 16 and moved into the medina apartments so she wasn’t freeloading off her dad’s friends anymore. when she leased the apt, she did so under her mother’s maiden name cos it’s better to be safe than sorry & bc her dad also had a lot of enemies lmao lbr

being a mechanic hadnt ever crossed her mind as something she’d be good at & even less something she’d enjoy. when she was fifteen, though, one of her cousins ( think, like, 5th cousins lmao ) offered to let her work at his garage instead of having to wait tables at a shitty diner or, even worse, babysit. at first she wasn’t too thrilled about it & it felt like she’d never get the hang of it, but with time, she found she really enjoyed the work, especially the reward of hearing the engine rumble when you start it up for the first time. she didn’t fall in love with it, though, until the charger. her cousin had the shell of a ‘69 dodge charger & told her that if she could fix it up, she could keep it. WELL, the next 4 years of scavenging and looting for parts eventually paid off, leaving her with a love for cars & the envy of muscled white guys everywhere.

a part of her life she’s much more public about, tho, is how much she loves to party. now, according to her, [shrek vc] parties have layers. there are the dull parties, where it’s frowned upon to drink more than champagne, there are club parties where it’s more dancing and drinking than doing hard drugs ( fun, but not the best ) & there’s the house party in which both alcohol and drugs are always available ( her personal favorite ). it doesnt stop there tho bc there are also layers to house parties! the absolute best kind of party, in her opinion, are valley parties. sure, there’s bound to be stuck up rich people with sticks so far up their asses they can’t bend to tie their shoes, but valley parties also have the best selection of top shelf liquor & entire rooms dedicated to doing lines. those parties are the absolute peak, in her opinion & she will never pass up an opportunity to attend.

personality wise .. well, let’s just say she doesn’t really have one ? unless you count being completely bitter and cynical about everything as a personality.. she’s very very short tempered and will not hesitate to make a scene if the need arises ( she loves to argue! loves to shout! so im sorry to all her neighbors! ). literally disagrees with everyone on everything for the hell of it and is the most stubborn personal alive. when her mind is made up u will absolutely never be able to change it so i mean good luck if u wanna try! adding on to the bitter thing.. she p much has it out for anyone who even thinks of lording themself over her ( @ her mom ) and pretending to be better than anyone else so she’d highkey start a fight with little to no provocation

hello friends! you’ll have to excuse me being sleepy af because i’ve quite literally just rolled out of bed after a long af nap but i’m super excited to be here! i’m sam, twenty years old, she/her, est timezone, and under the cut you’ll find some stuff about my trash son ronan here so lmk if you’d like to plot!

( thomas hayes, nineteen, college sophomore ) did you hear ( RONAN WAYNE ) has been referred to as the ( MORDACIOUS ) ? I heard ( HE ) can be pretty ( INDIVIDUALISTIC ) and quite ( STANDOFFISH ). did you know ( RONAN ) was hiding ( HE’S PLANNING TO LEAVE PLEASANTVILLE FOR GOOD WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE WHERE HE’S GOING )? lets hope no one finds out !

so, he’s one of the wayne kids! he’s the father’s son and i believe he’s currently the oldest in the family! i’d sorta like for him to stay the oldest in the family or at least one of the oldest but we’ll see!

i don’t want to say too much re: his home/family life because obviously that’s sorta open to change but i do think he generally gets along with his family despite maaaaybe a bump or two? idk we’ll have to wait and see for that as well!

he’s currently a sophomore in college, studying automobile mechanics. i have this headcanon that he works part time at a gas station/auto body shop already and has since he was in his early teens, so it’s something he’s good at and something that he really loves

that being said, one thing he doesn’t love is pleasantville, if only because he’s always wanted to travel, maybe go on a road trip around america. that’s probably what he’s planning to do were his secret is concerned. he’s not gonna actually leave though i promise shhhh

so hello there everyone! i’m sam, she/her, twenty years old, est timezone and i’m super excited to be here! i’m bringing you all a character that i’ve literally just put together in the last few hours so idk if i have that much to say yet, but we’re all gonna go on this ride together and see for ourselves! all the info i’ve got on dragomir so far will be under the cut and feel free to message me if you’d like to plot!

( armie hammer, 28, he/him ) pardon, do you know where i can find dragomir sokolov? they are the temerarious around the castle and a soldier from russia. i was told they are rather dauntless + protective, but also refractory + unpredictable. i wouldn’t want to see them on a bad day.

so, i haven’t thought too much into his background, but i imagine that he wasn’t raised in a very wealthy or privileged household. he left home to join the war as soon as he was able (so he was probably still a teenager, most likely around fifteen - sixteen) and probably hasn’t seen very much of his family since so he isn’t really close to them.

so he joined the military to fight in the war as a teenager, which means he’s been fighting for over a decade and over that time he’s climbed the ranks and developed quite a name for himself. personally i like the idea that he’s something of a highly praised + celebrated war hero in russia. he’s participated in many battles during the war and repeatedly shown himself to be capable, courageous and instrumental in russia’s successes on the battlefield.

known for being skilled, fierce and fearless, sokolov also has a reputation among his peers for being a rather reckless fool. he’s fiercely protective and feels a deep sense of loyalty to both the russian people and his fellow soldiers. his emotions control him more than he controls them, and so he has a habit of jumping headfirst into danger without thinking it through.

basically, think of him as the physical embodiment of literally every gryffindor house stereotype with a side of snark because he’s also sarcastic af.

also i sort of have this idea that he’s just arriving here in switzerland and because he’s a very well known soldier (at least among the russian people), there have been these rumors going around that he sort of y’know...died in the last battle of the war. it was a rumor that just sorta got ouT OF HAND.

idk if he’s married in spite of his age just for the sole reason that he’s been in the war for the past decade and i don’t really think he’s ever taken leave. it’s been his life for all these years, but that being said i DO live for angst and so i was thinking he could have a betrothed or just someone he was in love with or cared deeply for who he left behind (in russia or somewhere he would’ve traveled during the war) who thinKS HE’S DEAD BUT THEN HE JUST WALKS INTO THE SWITZERLAND LIKE HEY THERE DEMONS IT’S ME YA BOI. that’d also be a great plot for just friends or anyone who cares about him at all like i’m DOWN FOR IT. they’d probably have to be someone who isn’t noble though if they were betrothed? idk though just puttin that out there

i can’t think of much else to say tbh? i mentioned a little about his personality but just to clarify a little further: he’s brave and skilled and an exceptional soldier who loves the fighting and the glory and the praise, but at the same time he’s reckless and unpredictable and completely ruled by his emotions. he feels a deep sense of loyalty to his country (and fellow countrymen) as well as anyone else he happens to care about. he’s also very protective towards anyone he cares about, probably to an excessive/obnoxious degree most of the time.

oH and he’s not really used to being in the world of the royals. he’s obviously more used to the battlefield and fighting and war so like...that’ll be fun. i’m pretty sure he’s not really all that fond of the wealthy and powerful, probably relating to the war and his personal opinions on it. idk yet if he thinks it was wise or not to end the war, but he probably leans more towards it having been a bad idea for literally the only reason that he has no idea wtf he’s supposed to do now lmao. anyway yeah, he’s sarcastic af so if he doesn’t mouth off to the wrong royal and get himself beheaded in like...less than a week’s time i will honestly be surprised

i think that’s all i got atm. aside from that little plot bunny i mentioned a minute ago i don’t really have anything specific in mind where plots are concerned because like...i literally want them all? please just bring me evERYTHING OKAY. i think that’s it for real now if only bc i need to stop rambling so yeah! lmk if you wanna plot because i’d love to do that and i’m looking forward to writing with you all!

Desired Character: Caroline Forbes

Why?: It’s probably redundant to say that I love Caroline, most likely even more so to say that it has to do with the fact that she has some of the best character growth that I’ve ever seen in a tv show. Followed unfortunately by a pretty strong regression, but she still has remained my favourite character that always seems to rear her head again once I think I’ve forgotten about her, which is a stubborn hearted persistence which honestly is pure Caroline. I think my favourite thing about Caroline isn’t the label that she’s good because there’s a lot of times where Caroline isn’t a good person or falters as a good vampire, what she is however and what is probably leagues more important is kind. Caroline grows to be exceptionally kind and perceptive and I think it’s amazing. I could go on more but then my application would be a 30 page rant about why Caroline Forbes is amazing and honestly if you accept me you’ll get it in small snippets at a time. Why I want to write her in this rp specifically however is that Caroline is by far the best at being a Vampire, it’s her at her best self and in a lot of ways I think it’s her final destiny. But here she’s a human instead and that is fascinating to me, it’s refreshing from always tackling her from one end of her story. I like the fact that she was able to grow into herself a bit by going into college, but there’s still those human insecurities woven into her at the same time that I get to play with. I think this is a once in a life time writing wise chance to explore this, as it doesn’t appear to be a very common theme. I also like that she has family, family relationships is one of my favourite things to write next to friendships. They really define a person and I think Caroline benefits from having family around her and her cousin just seems like a fun interaction to me. She’s an excessively loyal person after all and with how heavily she lays that loyalty upon her friends imagine the sort of things she’d be willing to go through for blood.

Sexuality & Ships: I personally see Caroline as Pansexual, I think she doesn’t really care much for gender so much as the person and just what about them attracts her. Caroline just wants someone who will love and listen to her, just someone who will care half as much as she does. Not even considering what she’s always settling for unfortunately. I also like to think of it as a bonding point for her and her Dad, just a sweet little hc of mine. I’m fairly open with shipping for Caroline I like her with people who respect her so that’s a very low statistic in her actual dating life, I liked her and Matt not as a forever situation but they were good at the time, I like Klaroline he had a lot of respect for her agency and wanted more for her which was lovely. I don’t ship Steroline I think being with Stefan really regressed a lot of Care’s progression which was frustrating and I’m also not a huge fan of Forwood I liked them for a short while but their relationship in the end just ended up being bad for the both of them. Outside of that I’m pretty open with her as a person and who she dates it really just comes down to chemistry. I love her having an ex though in Jake and I really love that at the end of their relationship even if she got him to start opening up in the end it was someone else who made the true positive change in him. It really falls into the inferiority complex she grew up with and I think would be an even bigger slap in the face than him dumping her in the first place. At the time, she would definitely still be petty enough to be angry that he found that happiness somewhere else rather than with her. Now however that’s definitely has changed although she’s not too thrilled about seeing him again considering how shitty of a boyfriend he was.

Occupation: In Legacies Caroline is a headmistress and I understand it she has a fantastic skill of purely just being an excellent Vampire and helping others master the art too, it makes sense. Their choice of putting her in broadcast journalism felt a little out of left field, I suppose it plays into her inquisitive nature Care does have a habit of wheedling information out of people but for who she was then it didn’t make all too much sense. I’d like to believe Caroline did start out as a drama major in school but soon transferred over to business when she found her passionate singing voice wasn’t getting her where she wanted to be. She swapped over to a basic business major graduating top of her class as is only the Forbes way. At the end however she was felt with an empty feeling of having no real set plan for what she wanted to do with her business degree so she took the only reasonable follow up. Getting a Master’s degree, it felt like the easiest answer to avoid making a choice while also continuing forward with an upward momentum while she went about figuring it out. Caroline Forbes did not fumble anything in life and she wasn’t about to let anyone catch her at odds end especially with the strain in all of her relationships recently. Currently her degree is in business administration as she feels a tentative pull towards making a career out of event planning. I’d like to see in the future her straying away and possibly changing her major to something in paper journalism following her trying to figure out what the hell it is everyone is so intent on keeping hidden from her. But her final destination with her degree and job will come out when she discovers her purpose. I like the idea of someone as pointed and goal oriented as Caroline floundering slightly in settling down her future for now she tells people she has event planning in her future with all the confidence an actual sure Caroline Forbes would use. I have no idea how much sense this makes.

Headcanons:

· Caroline knows how to shoot a gun and is licenced, but not just that she’s good at it too. It’s not a skill many would expect of her but her Mother is one of the sheriffs of the town and even in a place as safe as she’s been told as Chance Falls it’s still been taught to her as a necessary skill. There’s a shotgun in the house and she’s been taught where it is and the combo for the safe to get to it. What Caroline isn’t aware of however is that the shot gun has been loaded with wooden bullets for many years now. She’s been taught to never welcome anyone into their home without her Mom’s express permission, and when she was a teenager the habit stuck around for a while, at times due to her cousin’s pointed reminders. Since going away to college however the habit has waned to the point of her welcoming and natural hostess nature often leading her now to welcome those she doesn’t know quite so well into her home. While it hasn’t led to anything bad yet only time can tell if this habit will come back to bite her. Tristan’s slow return to her life, as Caroline can hold a rather icy grudge will be good for this, help him have a nice starting base to work from.

· As a teenager Caroline existed as the defining factor of what was cool, effortless party planning, dating bad boys, always having perfectly curled hair and being at the top academically and a leader? Easy. What wasn’t easy in her endless quest to be seen at the pinnacle of her school’s social scene was getting a tattoo. Especially when your Mother was one of the sheriffs, however that very title also meant that little attention was paid to Caroline on the regular that she was able to do this grand feat. She started simple, a small star on her foot done at a seedy parlour willing to overlook a poorly done fake ID. Naturally enough she brought along Bonnie and Elena, as her best friends and no matter the pleading and pulling after one shot of tequila a 14 year old Caroline Forbes left officially tattooed.

· The second tattoo came when she was 17 following a string of heart break. This time Caroline went to the tattoo parlour alone with an immensely better fake ID in hand and no friends trailing behind her begging her to reconsider. Unlike the spontaneous choice of her star the blonde lingered for a bit taking into consideration her different options before deciding on a small swallow taking flight on her wrist. It drew her in and as the plastic was wrapped around the freshly done ink set for her to leave Care couldn’t help but feel like that blank space of skin on her had been sitting there waiting for the bird to settle down. It belonged on her. Her Mother did in fact figure out her tattoos and it led to yet another horrible fight.

· Caroline has several nervous ticks, she tends to bite her lip, she glowers, brushes a thumb gently over her swallow tattoo or, most infamously she cleaned everything around her to an inch of its life.

· Caroline is one of those people who carries her purse strap on her inner arm. This has a lot to do with southern societal living and creating a more glamorous effect around herself. Purses are also one of the things she’ll splurge on. Specifically purses, moisturizer, perfumes and shoes. She also believes it’s important to own at least a few tubes of high quality lipstick, one for each colour pallet.

· Marilyn Monroe’s favourite lipstick was Guerlain’s ‘Diabolique’ the colour is now discontinued but they then released ‘Red Insolence’ a near identical shade which Caroline of course owns. It smells like vanilla and berries and while she may model her life after Scarlett O’Hara there will always be a bit of Marilyn in her. Besides, everyone needs to own a timeless red.

· Caroline is well aware that she was a shallow bitch in high school, she’d had a whole break down about it once to prove it and at times she still felt that lingering push in her gut that she was just as shallow as before but that wasn’t the point. She’d been a supremely shitty teenager even going so far as to on occasion snub one of her closest friends Stiles, all because he wasn’t what anyone would really be calling cool back then. His social status did eventually change and Care is ashamed to admit now that she’d started being seen more in public with him around that time. There were times even when she was publically ignoring him that she would step in if someone appeared to be being too mean to him. The fact that he seems to be pulling away from her now feels like karma. If she’d always been the sort of friend he deserved every time maybe he wouldn’t be ignoring her now.

· Less serious one but listen Caroline was 100% pissed to find out everything horrible that goes bump in the night is real but unicorns aren’t. It’s something she will be bringing up at some point.

· Caroline doesn’t just love bubble gum pop music, she loves classic rock anthems. I’m taking this headcanon based off of her karaoke preferences. Her reasoning is that classic rock ballads from the 80s are some of the most powerful and romantic things you can find. It’s not something she advertises and you might not notice it unless you’ve heard her do karaoke or watch her get ready in the morning.

· Caroline as student body president, valedictorian and head of too many committees to name applied to a vast variety of colleges and was accepted to many including Ivy’s. However, she wasn’t brave enough to leave, she didn’t believe in herself so she decided to play it safe and go to Constance with Elena instead. She doesn’t regret her decision even with the way her friend has been pulling away but a secret deep part of her does wish that she’d at least gone out the visit those colleges she got into. It’ll stick in her mind as a what if especially as she continues to be frustrated by the isolation and exclusion she’s going through.

· Caroline’s underwear always matches, it’s just a little tic of hers and helps her feel more put together every morning. There’s nothing like concurring the world knowing you’re put together from literal top to bottom. She’ll shamelessly walk by having just purchased three new lingerie sets, there’s nothing to be embarrassed of after all, she has cute taste and if anything she’s setting an example of what everyone should be doing.

· There is a handheld vacuum in her possession specifically for cleaning up post party confetti and glitter, because that’s the sort of thing that will never come out of a vacuum and she’s not about to infect her other. It’s clearly labeled so as to make sure no one mixes up, not that she’s about to let anyone clear for her.

Para Sample:

Sitting in front of her vanity Caroline gently ran her curling iron one last time through the heaviest lock she’d have on show. The face that stared back at her was perfect, brows arched correctly, lashes thick but not clumpy. Leaning forward, she ran a finger carefully around the corner of her lip gloss, making sure it remained within the lines. But it was only for show really, to draw the eyes of the other girls around her, because every piece of her look was utterly flawless. A green dress was hung up beside her vanity, perfectly ironed and steamed as she’d done so herself. Somewhere out there in town her Mom was doing police things, her cousin was god knows where not that she particularly cared. As a flash of pain snapped through her system the blonde firmly shoved it down once again reenforcing that she truly didn’t. Her Dad though, she’d half expected him to show up. After all he was always the one who supported her in these things. The one who took her shopping before every school year, who helped drill her for gymnastics, and then for cheer. The parent who paid her the most attention and made sure that she was able to get the vast amount of attention that she so required, picking up the slack for her Mother who’d become so sucked into her work.

At the sound of a laugh her eyes drifted away from her own reflection instead landing on the back of her best friend and her aunt. How was it that Elena had most of her family die and still managed to have someone with her for the pageant? She shouldn’t be the one alone. As soon as the vicious thought slipped through her head she felt horrible, but it was true. She had the perfect boyfriend downstairs waiting for her, while Caroline had to dance with some substitute. All because her boyfriend, who she was still half sure was still half in love with her friend, was working. Caroline had almost been pathetic enough to ask Jake to escort her but not only would it royally piss of Matt, but her ego couldn’t take that kind of hit especially since her ex had recently been galavanting around with Faye Chamberline of all people. Her eyes remained locked on the happy little mixed up family unit as they at the same time unfocused.

She could see it in her mind’s eye now, standing next to her, probably holding hands with a death grip waiting for the news. Because Elena was her best friend and of course she’d want to stand beside her, because she loved her and she couldn’t imagine anyone else there next to her. So she would be standing there holding onto her, hearing Elena win and pasting a smile onto her features. Elena would get to feel a bit closer to her Mom a previous Miss Chance Falls and Caroline would get to feel her heart throb in pain at the loss of something she wanted so badly, and also feel like a horrible friend for hating her just a bit in that moment.

A hand softly reached up to brush against the heart-shaped necklace Elena had given her, just because she cared. Because that was the kind of person Elena was and it was, of course, the perfect piece of jewellery. Caroline did everything right, volunteering for everything within her reach, writing a killer essay, keeping a perfect smile with perfect posture before the judges. Answering every question with grace during the closed interview, she’d even googled how the royal family sat so as to make sure she was just that little bit more than everyone else. More what she did not know, but just more.

Her eyes dropped from looking at the reflection of her friend down to the vanity table. Elena would get the pity vote, because not only was she effortlessly beautiful and kind she had the perfect tragedy, and with her Aunt watching happily, and her perfect boyfriend standing beside the stage the committee would announce her name. Caroline would hug her and then she’d change out of her dress and walk herself home, leave a message for Matt and complain about her escort who would likely forget one or two of the steps she’d ruthlessly drilled into him. Her Mom would come home and if she remembered to ask Caroline would tell her about the pageant as well, or bring it up in a petty moment of anger during their next fight if she didn’t. Later she’d send a text to Tristan or Stiles, and the former might at the very least read the message and the later might commiserate with her over it being bullshit because even if she was on occasion a terrible friend/sudo-sibling he always seemed to come through. Bonnie she’d leave alone to celebrate with Elena, because Elena deserved to have a best friend who was for real happy for her in those moments.

Steeling herself Caroline sat up a bit straighter inspecting herself from her best angle and even her less flattering one, only slightly less of course. She’d meant it when she’d talked to Bonnie, when she’d softly tried to gather up her hope and confidence for this thing that she wanted so badly. She deserved this, she’d worked and earned this. So no matter what happened like Scarlett O’Hara she would preserve. She’d be so stunning that the town would gossip for weeks about how cheated she was out of the crown. Taking a small breath in and then out she smiled at her reflecting plastering her papier-mâché confidence back on before standing up and grabbing her dress bag. Caroline Forbes had a pageant to dominate.

Anything Else?: A future plot point for Caroline I’d really like to explore would be her becoming a Vampire as I think she’s meant to be. It’s not something I’m looking to rush however, I like drawing things out and reestablishing some relationships, just layering up a multitude of things so that when it happens the pile can topple over and we’re left with a lot of angst and conflicting emotions. I think it’d be especially interesting considering Tristan having killed the person he’s been intending to marry. So it’s really important to me to have a Tristan rper and their relationship rather strong before that happens.

How Did You Hear About Us: tvd rp tag and I love a good crossover rp. Honestly, it’s just kind of refreshing to have a bio crossover rp. And also a crossover rp that doesn’t include legacies.

Anything Else?: I do want to say that I feel that my apps are often unimpressive, but I do have so much muse for this character, I just adore playing her. I also feel I really play best when I’m writing to another character specifically because Katherine is such a versatile person who morphs so much to each person she’s interacting the voice she uses changes. So to me samples are really hard because it’s just most internal monologue and at the beginning of an rp ( especially when changes have been made to a character ) I feel like that part is not as crystallized. Anyway, I hope you like the app, I’m in love with this rp and would just die to join fghjk.

Why This Character?:

The loml. I’ve played Katherine so many times over the years. She’s always been my favourite I feel like she’s so under appreciated because she’s an antagonist of the show but she’s never really wrong in my eyes. I just think there’s so much fun to be had with her character, she’s a boss ass bitch but she’s got such a deep heart. AND MY GOD the wounds she’s had inflicted upon her heart, she’s had to become the person she is to survive. I started really playing Katherine a lot when she was done so dirty on TVD and they killed her off. I just felt like her character had so much more and it just didn’t feel authentic to me.

Ships/Anti-ships: god who don’t I ship Katherine with is the real question. I think TVD had a real sterefine agenda, but I think her love with Elijah was so much more real and true. So of Kat’s ships Kalijah takes the cake for me, but I’ve played out every possible ship for Kat—even a bunch with crossover rps. She’s not a woman who holds back from what she wants. I feel like I don’t have any anti-ships, but it does have to make sense with the plot. Like Katherine and Klaus aren’t about to pop off for a quickie at this point in the plot but if it’s developed and done right even incongruous ships can be made to work.

Headcanons:

Katherine’s favourite colour sways from red to blue, often settling on purples and pinks when indecisive. Blue was her favourite colour in Bulgaria, but after certain events in England, Katherine began to feel drawn to the warmer colour. When she is most conflicted the deepest of purple is worn, a near black. She knows that her true humanity, that Katerina Petrova is lost somewhere and that Katherine Pierce consumes her now, but it is very easy to find little pieces of both mixed in her.

Katherine has only turned off her humanity a handful of times and only for extremely short periods of times. The difference between the two is surprising. Katherine finds that without her humanity things become rather tedious and plain for herself. She is already one who feels very little guilt and remorse (she will not apologize for keeping herself alive) and so nearly every time is duller than the previous. She enjoys the fire that her humanity instils in her, the passion and emotions that it brings. She hasn’t turned her emotions off since sometime around 1720.

Around when she stopped turning her humanity off was also when she started taking vervain. It’s taken years to build up the tolerance to the level it’s at now and she’s still always working to take in more. She also has built up a pain tolerance like crazy. You know how the wolves shift over and over to be free of a sire bond? Katherine’s essentially done that to try and prevent anyone, especially Klaus, from using pain to get anything from her.

Also plot wise, I really want to work in past with the teen wolf characters, maybe even some of originals only characters. Like MARCEL!! I feel like a lot of times Marcel has been in an rp where I played Kat, Marcel was swayed to help keep Katherine safe from Klaus as yet another bargaining chip. I’d obviously have to work that out with a Marcel player, but that’d be such an interest thing to really flesh out.

CHARACTER QUESTIONNAIRE:

How Does Your Character Feel About The Peace Treaty?: Its probably one of the only things keeping Kat in NOLA. It’s not exactly a guarantee that Klaus will keep off her, it is however a reasonable excuse to get other supernaturals involved in protecting her. Katherine has no problem playing up her desire for peace if it means keeping her safe. Besides, she doesn’t really care what you are, more if you’re useful to her.

Slice of Life: Now that she’s in the same town as Elena it’s changed. Before it was shopping, socializing, laying groundwork. Now she cultivates a lot of time learning about Elena’s life (gotta know how to play up being the doppelgänger), avoiding Klaus, still shopping (she’s not about to stop being herself), and working schemes. She’s got many a relationship to smooth over and many a local to win to her side. She’s not going to end up dead. When possible she likes to sleep in and let the sun wake her up, but often she’s got plans and she’s gotta deal with them. In the evening’s you’ll almost always find her in a bar socializing. She may be on the run, but that doesn’t mean she can’t have fun.

What is Your Character’s Greatest Fear? How Does This Affect Your Character?: I think a lot of people would say death for Kat, but I think that’s like surface level. She’s a survivor and that will also be super relevant in her life, but I don’t think it’s her greatest fear. Her real fear is probably anonymity. She wants people to love her and think about her. She may slip in and out of people’s lives but her expectation is that she’s not forgotten. ( I mean Klaus could forget about her n that would be great. ) Sometimes I think her desire to be remembered makes her do things that aren’t always the wisest. She has the two parts of her fears that battle it out. The Passion and Calculation mix and fight and that’s why she’s such a complicated character.

Character name: Eloise Green

Character major: Her major is education, and specifically, Eloise wants to go on an early childhood education route. In her junior year of high school, Eloise took a class to fill a Home Economics graduation requirement, that was geared towards Early Childhood Development. In the class, not only did they learn about the different stages of development, but also had to do craft assignments one could put up to stimulate children on Fridays. Each student would also eventually spend two days job shadowing in an early education classroom. Through this, Eloise found that it is frankly the perfect fit for her. There was so much organization to it. Being able to just even teach, tell people what they should know without seeming condescending. And the kids, oh how she loved kids and caring for said kids. After that, she couldn’t see any other path to go on. She also has a minor in Sociology. She tended to always be interested in the social sciences and does see getting this knowledge of groups of people as also being very helpful when she is a teacher.

Clubs or sports: Gymnastics! She has been in gymnastics since she could walk and it’s the perfect way to get out everything she builds up inside her with her very type A personality. Other than Gymnastics, she does just throw herself into her school work, actual work, and friends, but she is also signed up for, and occasionally goes to events for, the Philosophy Club. She didn’t have some type of reason, which got a giggle at the first meeting when she said she didn’t really know why she decided to join it, but she just found herself interested in it.

Will your character have a job?: Yes, she is a cashier at Yaya Yogurt. It is not nearly what she would like to be doing, but for the sake that she even had to go to Cabot Creek was a tight financial situation, so she definitely needs to continue to make money whilst here. Also, hey, it gives customer service experience, something she sees as being helpful practice for when she has to spend 6 hours teaching a day, and especially when parents will want to talk about their children’s performances.

Give us a head canon about your character:

The first time Eloise watched Pretty Little Liars, it was weird, and “weird” may even be too light of a word for what she experienced. It took her over a year to get past the second episode, as when they showed Spencer, with her family, at that dinner, she saw her own family.

There was that high/low game, and the family was using it solely to brag about their victories in work and school, and that was what happened so much with Eloise. Even on Eloise’s birthday, every year, her parents would fill a room with all her accomplishments both from that year, and all years past, and they would “tour” it together. Eloise could always expect two gifts from her parents every single year, and that “tour of accomplishments” was one of them.

That game, though? While not exactly the same, because there would never be any lows, it was all trying to just beat out each other in highs, when her siblings would come over that was all that would happen at the dinner table. It was strange too, how they played it. On one hand, her parents wanted to win themselves. On another hand, they barely saw Eloise’s older siblings, with the closest sibling age-wise to Eloise was even 14 years older than her. On the final hand, Eloise was their baby, and a miracle baby at that due to how old her parents were when they conceived her, so of course they wanted their baby to win.

However, seeing that scene, it struck a nerve in her. She saw the body language that the actors were having their characters give off. She saw how it wasn’t supposed to be seen as normal, with Spencer’s sister’s fiancee not totally understanding it due to his ‘outsider’ status still when it comes to the family.

It was too weird to not only see something that resembles you that much on air but even have it shown it was actually something ‘weird’? ‘Taboo’, even? She couldn’t deal with it, couldn’t face that fact and continue on with the show, until over a year later.

What is an issue you feel most passionate about?: “The lack of education towards girls worldwide. Did you know, in Chad, there is a sixteen percent gap between literacy rates for men and women? And a twenty-one percent gap between boys and girls enrolled in primary school? And remember Malala Yousafzai, when the Taliban shot her in the head - nearly killed - for daring to want not only herself to be educated but other girls in Pakistan to receive education, too? And, coming from Oklahoma, it isn’t much better here either. I mean, I was from the city, but I knew more out in rural areas, once kids could drop out of school, they were having their daughters do so. And that’s not even touching on the school-to-prison pipeline in this country when it comes to students of color. It’s ridiculous. We need to focus caring towards all kids getting an education, it leads to opportunities like I have.”

Describe your thoughts on social media?: “This may contradict my caring for world wide stance just before, but I love my social media. Well, except MySpace, does anyone use that anymore? Like, seriously, do they? Or, Google Plus was a thing for a hot second because of Google and YouTube combining, but I don’t think anyone ever used that in the history of ever. Did they? Anyway, one may even call me a ‘social media whore’. I think if I have gone seventy-two hours without a post on Instagram, and twenty-four hours without a tweet on Twitter, you can assume something bad has happened to me. FaceBook, SnapChat, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tumblr … You know, I also love and have those, but especially pay attention to me and my activity on Instagram and Twitter. Oh, and Pinterest! I love doing projects I find on there so much! And I always post the completed project to my Instagram!”

What is your favorite fandom or movie or TV show or book series (choose one)?: “Untold Stories of the E.R.! Oh god, what a guilty pleasure of mine. I just find myself completely letting go watching it. It’s kind of nice, wow.”

Opinion on love and romance?: “I’ve been in about two long term relationships before. There was my high school sweetheart, Seth. Then I’m sure you know but I started dating Erica the beginning of freshman year here, but we broke up at the end of sophomore year. My relationships, they are always super romantic and I do feel I am in love, so yes. I think that exists. That idea of one true love, that there is some one person in Montenegro, who at this point in time could be barely a year old, that I won’t be happy until I am with? No, I don’t believe in that. But, yes, cynics, love is a real feeling, and with it, heartbreak is a real feeling too. And romance as a concept exists.”

Kingdom Hearts, the lovely series from the great and confusing minds of Disney and Square Enix. A series I have been in love with, as long as I can recall. With the announcement of the DLC: Re:Mind, for Kingdom Hearts III, the itch to write something within this fandom has return! Now, when it comes to the series, I have played all the games; from the very first, to the mobile App; though, for the App, I have not been as committed to it, as the other games- but I do watch lore videos on Youtube about the App’s story. Every other game I have played, and beat though! So, no worries of spoilers, when it comes to discussing. I will say, while on the topic of the games them selves, my favorite in terms of Story/character stuff is: 358/2 Days, as I love the concepts of Nobodies and the Sea-Salt-Trio. However, the best game of the series, is still probably Kingdom Hearts II.

When it comes to possible ideas for a story/plot for a Roleplay, I am more than open to bounce ideas back and forth. We could stick to a specific game’s time frame, and the characters within, while adding our own little spin/head-canon to things. Completely go in an AU type route, that could go as far as possible away from the Action RPG style game it is, like some sort of School Au with the Organization Members. An AU with our favorite characters on some new Adventure, re-writing events within the series with new changes. And so much more.I have a few snippets of thoughts that I’ll list here.

An AU, similar in style of Final Fantasy X-2, with the female characters on some adventure. So, Kairi, Aqua, Namine, and Xion. (And anyone else we could add into the mix, as well.)

This is, as suggested above, some sort of School AU. Saw fan -art once of Sora and Riku in school uniforms and thought it looked cool! So, its an option; though, I might need more than just a school setting.

Re-Writing Canon Events, to play out differently, or just switching things up. Perhaps giving certain Characters more of a role. I have a few gripes with how some things were handled, and would love to discuss.

Going into the in between moments, the time when Ansem the Wise was still in Power, and Xehanort and the others that would become Organization XIII( Nobodies), were still under Ansem’s teachings. Show the experiments they preformed, and what Ansem taught to them, and the eventual over-take of power, between Xehanort and Ansem.

A cross-over, with another game I am in love with; Persona 5! I love the mental image of Sora, Donald and Goofy working alongside Joker and some of the Thieves. (Or just Joker) it couldn’t be that big of a stretch to assume a Persona 5 world exists within the Kingdom Heart’s universe, right?

The Kingdom Hearts Characters, in a Pokemon setting could be fun too. Might be a bit more discussing on their pokemon, and so on.

Hello there ghouls and fools, the name’s Beck, and I’m looking for roleplay partners as this ad implies. As for me, I’m a 20-something lass located in the EST timezone, working on a schedule that usually allows me to reply at least once a day. (2) Why this connection?:

Cas has always picked up these brooding, tarnished characters in the last four years of roleplaying and she needed to branch out this season. Kali is a bio she never would usually be attracted to play, and that is why she wanted to attempt it. This will also be the first female character she has tried to write in Athoria – so lots of new experiences! What she likes about her is that Kali is brilliant with her magic for a multitude of reasons, but mostly because of her family ties. Cas enjoys playing bios with a proud heritage in magical families and the witch she played last season had a rich family experience in this regard. There is something very special about her that Cas is looking forward to exploring, especially with the library being this hall of mysteries that she’s opened up for people to attempt to get through. Cas has a lot of muse for what all the rooms will be and just what her family is protecting and how it’s affecting her now that she believes her brother is in a magical coma for work that scared her.

For Emery, Killian started out as a piece of Kali’s bio (who was written well before the Season Five launch) but after discussing the direction of the roleplaying regarding specific SPECIE revelations that we wanted to do in-game, we decided to have him as a playable character. Emery has never played a witch before, wee! Plus, writing darker elements to personalities has always been a favorite. Killian will be digressing in game but it’ll be a subtle discovery for people close to him to find out, and that will be sad and feelsy and emotional for Kali. Emery is really good at writing and expressing the mental part of corruption, which is what Killian’s bio is all about.

Being sisters IRL, we can dive into their relationship well into game. Being an admins sister super team, we have to think about the story as a whole over our individual characters sometimes. These two bios may look a certain way from reading them, but know we have lots of things planned for the main plot to aid our members big time!!!

(3) Interpret this connection:

Twins in medieval times always seem to hold this special place in our game. We imagine it’s hard enough with childbirth, but to bare two is pretty incredible. We think they share a profound magical yin and yang in a classic troupe way. Kali contains a light that’s hard to miss. Her magic is of alteration whereas Killian is of illusion. They are both branches of mental magics, yet they are so vastly different. I think they are best friends above siblings, and them teaming up produces remarkable results. Their heritage and weight of responsibly do not seem to show on either of them which I think is a rare form in Athoria. Usually, progenies or legacies carry this burden of their makers or parents in a negative way, and yet these two are more curious, prideful, and above all... damn good at their roles! I think it’s that piece that will allow us to move a lot of central plotting around in Athoria, especially with Magic Guild connections and Thieves Guild to give our members opportunities to explore that aspect of Athoria too.

(4) Interpret these characters individually:

(Cas) Kali is a mirror to her profession. I feel as if people will have a challenging time getting a proper read on her, often falling for her charms and be enthralled by her magic to give her a natural upper hand in some situations. I want to play her as mysterious as possible, never entirely giving herself away and yet finding a thrill in the new dangers of her job that she often gets herself into trouble. I think she will have an edge of snark and saltiness to her that will be hilarious to write and will add a lot of depth to her character when she’s engaged with other supernaturals.

She will be highly involved with the Guild, and I’d like her to be respectable enough even to teach some of the younger students. Some headcanons I have stem greatly from the Ravenswood Library and what exactly their family have been doing there. The building its self will be small in stature on the outside and located on the same island as the Temple of Vasu. But once you walk through it will be grand beyond belief. Almost like stepping through a portal to another place altogether– which is mildly accurate.

The Ravenswood Library is located in Miervaldis and is the largest source of literature there is to offer in the entire country. Even those teachers at The Magic Guild tend to keep secret treasures hidden away inside the establishment. Although a large section of the library is open to the public, Ravenswood is mostly warded to keep people out instead of in. The library consists of hundreds of rooms of varying sizes. Some citizens of the country purchase rooms in exchange for safe keeping of their secret literature.

Some parts of the library don’t exactly exist in any one location as a layer of protection for such things. Kali will have a magical key that she can use on any door to step into specific rooms in the library for quick access. This key won’t limit her need for travel because it is dangerous to use with potential enemies around. Using the key grants her entrance but anyone else who uses that door while she is in there at that moment can have access to that particular room well. This key cant be used by another because it requires Kali to know the room to enter. She will prefer to travel with said items back to the actual library to avoid anyone evil entering her place– even if it’s a place of riddles and traps.

I believe when she was little she often found herself lost in the labyrinth of the library, both done on purpose and because she’s too curious for her own good. Her family is lovely and proudful, but a little strict in her learning which comes from their pride. Punishments for her getting into minor trouble transpired by making her organize large rooms that had experienced magical turbulence causing many tombs to fall from the shelves or to work on designing new defenses on particular chambers. Such tasks would take her months to complete, and she’d often sneak her friends in to help her which inspired her current reasoning for letting those worthy to come in and explore.

This all contributes to her exceptional alteration magic, barely needing a wand to summon what she needs or to lift objects with her mind at her current age. Because of her face claim being in Shadowhunters, I will probably write about her having runes on her skin as another element to her magic. Using those to summon creatures to aid her. Her magical growth will not contain any elemental magic less the soul branch. The telepathy will be the ‘scariest’ form of her magic, and one that offensively will be quite dangerous even to herself.

Kali’s main weaknesses personality wise will be her unwavering curiosity. She wants to learn and is exceptionally brave to the point most probably believe she stupid when this is far from the truth. If the Ravenswood’s didn’t contain this personality trait, the library wouldn’t be as grand as it is now. It is a 'give and take’ for their family’s success. The vampires in Brailston are very intriguing to her mostly because wants to see if she can weasel her way into the Ivory Tower to check the place out and maybe learn something about these creatures who once lived in caves of all things. She loves the King greatly, and if he believes in these species, she will too.

She is pretty gullible when she doesn’t mean too. If someone tells her some gossip, she will probably believe it– even if it’s pretty out there because she has seen the most absurd things in her life, especially with the grand secrets of the library. Though she can read people very well, she can’t help but always wonder the why even if she picks up on it. If someone is lying to her for example, instead of calling them out on it Kali will just run with it just to see where they are going to go with such a tale. Some of her greatest adventures have begun because of a boasting man in need of proving something unimportant to her and Kali won’t ever turn down an opportunity to learn anything about any really– anything.

Kali has a hint of sadness in her that comes out when she spends too much time alone and usually requires a friend to drag her out for some fun or to mother her back to proper health. She’s an ugly crier, and those closest to her laugh at her for it before forcing her into a snuggle session. When it’s late at night while reading you can see glasses on her nose; her sight is declining with every passing year from too many nights pouring over literature, and Kali can’t use any more magic to help it. She nerds out on anything involving space and the sky, wanting to believe the stars can map out the truth or that something 'more’ lives beyond what they see here. Of anything in the world– she wants to see the Realm of the Seven Isles at least once. That– or her brother again.

(Emery) A trope that I found that could fit Killian would be the “Not as you know them” one, specifically on this page. The trope talks about a character that leaves for a little bit and comes back slightly different. Though they are still a “good guy”, circumstances have sort of twisted them around so they aren’t exactly the same as they were before. I think this is a good and fun way to view the relationship between Killian and Kali, and also with the Library in general. Killian will be returning to his home after five years of being out in the country while this whole time, Kali and, let’s face it, the rest of the magical community, thought he was chillin’ in a coma due to a head injury. When he comes back, Killian is not the same, but there will be cute and specific parts of his personality that will be; like his passion for magic in general, his passion for the library and his sister, and the fact that the Ravenswood legacy means everything to him. We also have to remember that Kali noticed his change in behavior before he left, so it will be interesting to see what parts of him that SHE believes is different, new or changed, versus what is really going on inside his head.

Killians magic was probably really playful as a kid. He didn’t really take it too serious, I don’t think, until he was in his early teenage years and realized that Kali would get the library over him. He wasn’t and isn’t resentful of that – let’s be real, she’s obviously more qualified – I just think that he had an “oh crap” moment when thinking about his future in general, his personal legacy and reputation, and it was then that Killian realized he had to sort of start digging his own path. Finding the demonic tome will be both his blessing and curse, just how it’s stated that the legacy was that way for him too. Killian only sees things as black and white, good or bad, right or wrong. Gray is not a common color in his pallet. Killian’s magic is based on illusion and enchantments, and he does well at potions (not really nerding out on herbs or plantlife, just being able to enchant liquids or bring out natural remedies in potions. I don’t really see Killian sitting around crushing rosemary and going into the forest to pick flowers). I want to play off of a blacksmithing background but not with him forging new weapons, again just sort of enchanting and improving what is already created. For example, Killian would be able to take a pair of gauntlets and beat them a bit to enchant them with a spell, but he wouldn’t sit down and create the gauntlets himself. Killian’s enchantments regarding weaponry, armor or clothing will be really Skyrim heavy like increasing speed, stealth, aim, power, etc. This opens up connections for merchant traders, traveling in general (which is a heavy part of his teenage years), viable reasons to be in a thief’s guild, and so forth. Killian’s illusion magic is sort of creepy when he’s not using it for “fun”. I can picture Killian getting into some rough situations out on the road or with the guild and not exactly coming across as the innocent little redhead that people might think he is. I can see Killian planting disturbing thoughts into peoples heads that cross him, but doing so subtly. I think that Killian enjoys a longer type of end-game rather than immediate results.

With The Emerald Hand, Killian is glad that he found some people that are okay with him being a weirdo sometimes. I imagine that sometimes they find him passed out on the docks and they just leave him there as if it’s normal. Then other times I think that certain relationships in the guild will bring out better, stronger qualities in him. Even though Killian will be returning back to Miervaldis very soon at the beginning of his story, he’ll still have these relationships with the guild members since he still won’t be telling them who he really is. (more explained in interview question)

Killian would have grown up knowing about Franco Athor and Nathaniel Athor and I think that as long as the monarchy doesn’t start changing a bunch of crap in Miervaldis then he’ll be fine with their expansion. Being a thief’s guild member is not exactly a good profession when your King is cracking down on laws. This might be motivation for Killian to also go back home. I also will headcanon that Killian has been locked up several times in the jails. Whoops!

I guess the bulk of Killian’s story comes down to this demon summoning tome he found. Let’s be clear that this was on accident. Killian had every intention of getting rid of the thing but of course it’s gotta be cursed, right? As admins, we really try to bring out certain elements of the game that are important to moving forward with the plot of the roleplay, so I have a lot of background noise and muse for what this curse could do to Killian moving forward. But writing outside the lines, this curse is basically taking over Killian’s personality and mind, literally, it WANTS him to perform the spell to raise a demon. As far as we know, this has only happened ONCE in history (not including the little demon familiars that the darker mages have), and it was one of the original demons from Hell (vampire stuff!). I’m not getting into this directly due to playing a character already that has been fucked by this situation, but it’s just a friendly and fun thing to keep in mind. With the tome in general, I get muse sort of like Tom Riddle’s diary from Harry Potter. The tome is fucking with Killian, and it probably won’t stop until Killian gives into the curse. It’s pretty sad. Killian is loosing his magic due to this thing, he lost his home and his family, he had to resort to thieving to survive, and oh yeah…he’s still losing his magic. If Killian doesn’t give into the curse then I think that he might die tbh. What better reason to go back home?

(Cas) (1) What do you think your twin was working on that was so dangerous? Do you really think their head injury was random?

“Oh look at you being all nosy and curious,” Kali snickered, tapping her pointer fingers together in front of her face while she thought of a decent answer. “I haven’t been into all the rooms of the library, and I grew up in the place. I don’t think it was random– nothing is as far as I can tell.” She rolled her eyes. It would be difficult to hide how this conversation was bothering her, so she simply let a soft frown wilt her lips. “I have time– well. I hope the magical coma will give me time actually to find the room he was in. I am certain when I work it out some of my questions will be answered.”

(2) Have you gotten into trouble out on the road before? What happened?

Kali winced subtly, catching fingers across her bangs to brush them from her lashes to hide her surprise. “Ah well– ” she smirked a devilishly wide grin, threading her hand on her hip to give the other her full attention. “There was this one time during a snow storm that an avalanche slipped down the mountain and blocked one of the roads near Grimsby. I guess it could be viewed as a 'scary experience.’” A teasing snicker accented the button shape of her nose as she wrinkled her face in amusement. “We couldn’t use our brooms because of the wind, and so we decided to stay in town– it creeped me out a little. Always felt like eyes were on me but it was terribly fun.”

(Emery) (1) What do you think would happen if you gave into the urge to summon the demon as its written on the tome?

“I can’t imagine that it will be good?” Killian’s response is more sarcastic and obvious than it is informative. “Anything with the word ‘demon’ in it, relating to it, involving it is not exactly something that you should be a part of. Why do you think most mages aren’t best friends with the vampires? Maybe because they were created by some slimy, other worldly hell creature that slipped through the fabrics of our realm? And for what? To create monsters that kill on innocent people? That have infiltrated our government?” Killian’s eyes roll slightly. Even though he feels the lack of magic within his veins he still manages to pretend that its not affecting him. “I have the tome, its better that way. I’m a Ravenswood and guess what? Ravenswoods aren’t known to give in so easily,”

(2) What aspect of the Thieves Guild do you find the most promising? Surely you have your reasons for joining up?

“I was a treasure hunter before I was a thief so what’s the difference, really? Treasure hunter, thief, treasure hunter, thief...” Killian weighs the two aspects in his hand like a scale. “We either found a bunch of stuff to bring back to the Library or convinced people to give up stuff that we wanted. So when I say “convinced”, I admit…my mother had a very suave way of getting what she wanted. After leaving that behind, it only made sense to keep finding treasure. The Emerald Hand offered that to me, plus they didn’t ask a lot of questions. They didn’t even know I had magic until recently. Imagine the look on Ivar’s face. Of course, Aerion always knew…but then again, Aerion was something else altogether,” Killian smirks. “Oh right, so an ulterior motive you ask? I wouldn’t be a Ravenswood if I didn’t have one,”

◆ Dual Application Interview Questions ◆

(Cas) (1) Question One: If you could change one thing about Killian, what would it be and why?

“Oh! He was such a brat!” she pointedly lifted her cup in the air as if to toast said statement though a faint tear fogged her vision thinking about her brother. She swallowed her emotions just enough to speak openly. It never dwelled to let strangers know the Ravenswood’s had something so tragic happen to them. “You know it’s all his fault that I can settle still for so long? He never stopped, always ambitious he wa– is. Well, if I had to change anything I’d tell him to remind me why he loves me so. Maybe if he thought about me and what he did– he’d not have been so foolish.”

(Emery) (2) If you had the choice between sacrificing yourself or sacrificing Kali for a greater cause, what would you do and why?

“I’m already fucked, so this is easy to answer,” Killian’s eyes narrow. “Nothing is more important than continuing the Ravenswood legacy. With my magic deteriorating, and after leaving for five years, after hurting my sister and my entire family, I wouldn’t deserve anything over her. I’m not being a martyr, I’m just saying that if it came down to me or her, it’d gladly give up whatever I had left to make sure that it was Kali who continued on,”

(Cas) ◆ Writing Sample: ◆

“Oh no–” Kali paused her steps to peer down at the dampness spreading across her heaving chest. The water dripped on the cobblestone in a symphony of vexation, dramatically seeking out neighboring books thrown about the floor. She blew a strand of wet hair clung to her cheeks with a frustrated stomp of her boot.

“Dammit– you are the worse you know that!” she whipped her head around to look at the troll who perched themselves on the edge of the doorway laughing hysterically that they got her. Kali didn’t draw her wand to punish the troublemaker, only huffed as she turned on her heel to walk farther into the small room. Objects lifted up into the air around her wordlessly, books seemingly tethered to strings moved from the floor and back on their respected spots on the shelves. She cleaned the room up while water soaked beyond her bodice and uncomfortably dripped along her collarbones and down her back to trap droplets in her boots.

“You were supposed to get Major you know? I thought we had a deal,” she knew that she was speaking to herself. The troll might understand her language a little bit because the creature had made a mistake to follow her into the place when she used her key outside Leeds. But now the troll was magically trapped here and not for the better might she add. Kali could take the time to unbind them from this room, but after five years she was getting used to the little troublemaker pulling pranks like they just did.

“I will bring you blackberries from the Ancient Forest if you promise me the next time Major comes– you get him and not me!” this time her wand teasingly pointed at the troll who laughed again and enthusiastically nodded as if it understood her. “I’d shake on it, but I don’t really trust you–”

Kali keened in exaggerated poses as if exhausted, but if she was honest the unexpected bath had woken her up– how many days had she been in these clothes anyway? Kali knew she contained a terrible habit for overworking herself, but she had a savior in more ways than one today to tear her away from it. She looked around to see the rest of the room clean up and strolled back out with a sweet smirk on her lips. A faint glow left her fingers, igniting runes along the bookshelves in a selective warding.

“I know you get bored– but don’t touch my books anymore,” she hummed while exiting the chambers of this part of the library and moved into the main entranceway. An archway was being decorated with roses when she walked in, and the scent was overwhelmingly beautiful. Her friend waved cheerfully then eyed her soaked state with a concerned furrow. Kali waved the worry off.

“The flowers are beautiful–” her friend’s gaze tore from her back to their work; working intricate wand movements to appear as if they were painting them in place. Earth magic always amazed her.

“Yes– they appear so, but their scent will put someone to sleep if they are not supposed to be in this room. It will be fun to see how they get around it.”

Kali threaded her fingers together in excitement, her wand cradled between and vibrated in awe upon her tiptoes.

“That is lovely! I wish I could do earth magic–” she reached out to pluck a white rose setting it behind her friend’s ear. “You always do such lovely work– I should visit the Hallowed Oak sometime this week. Bring you lots of flowers from the Gardens.”

They blushed, and Kali secretively relished the effect.

“I left a talisman there you know–” “Oh yeah? So we could just teleport right in,” Kali mused, and their friend nodded already knowing what she was going to suggest.

“Don’t you want to change out of those wet clothes?”

“What? Oh no! I needed a bath anyway, it will dry. Let’s visit Sinder! Maybe they will smile seeing me like this–”

“Alright– if you say so… but we need to collect some stuff while we are there– and it’s getting dark so we shouldn’t stay long,”

“Oh come on–” Kali had that dangerous look about her now, the one that grabbed hands and dragged them into places they really shouldn’t be going into and yet they always did. “I’ll protect you–”

“I didn’t doubt you could!” her friend flustered but relented with their palm out. “Come on then miss 'I’m not scared of the dark,’”

Kali grabbed their hand, and with a faint 'pop’ the two teleported to the gardens.

(Emery) ◆ Writing Sample: ◆

It should have been a good day. Normally it would have been. Working with enchantments and discovering new and improved weapons from the many stashes that were sealed away inside of the massive library was always a favorite pastime of Killian’s...if he could unlock a new room that his mother had sealed and picked out new armors or blades to wield, it would be the best day. But today was not a good day.

The library was quiet save the obnoxious screeching sound coming from the broadsword that Killian dragged down the hallway. In the public area of the library, visitors covered their ears, mumbled in disagreement under their breath. Some even ventured to shush him, scold him, to be quiet! Can’t you see we’re reading, here?! The tip of the heavy sword left a winding trail behind him that he’d need to cover up. If that wasn’t enough, when Killian reached the main vestibule, his arms gave out from the weight and he tumbled to the ground, the hilt of the broadsword in his hands collapsing with him. The sound echoed throughout the many, tall walls.

“Kali?!” he yelled pathetically for his twin sister. “I’m stuck…this fucking sword…I’m stuck!”

Killian shook his hands holding the hilt of the blade, hoping the release his grip this time. It was a spell gone wrong…a witch’s nightmare. How was he supposed to know that the sword had already been enchanted?!

Killian moaned in annoyance. Perhaps this was the universe’s way of letting him know that a broadsword would not be good for the road. Killian had always stuck to smaller, stealthier weapons that were engraved into the runes on his skin; dual wield knives, throwing stars…maybe the broadsword was a bit too showy.

Glancing around, the young teenager noticed the new archway of roses leading into one of the rooms. There was a friend of Kali’s that practiced a bit of earth magic, someone that she trusted enough to poke around the library. Maybe she was there and could help him with his…problem. With another groan, Killian used the broadsword to help him to a stand, then dragged the bulky weapon (that was nearly the size of himself) over to the archway.

“Hello?” He called inside the room first, hoping not to disturb anyone. When no one answered, Killian decided to take a chance on entering the room against all sort of intuition. He passed under the roses, barely noticing their special scent. Pushing the door open with his back, Killian noticed the beautiful allure of the room; the large, white pillars that were homes to birds nests and acorns, squirrels and another small, annoying critters. Various books and scrolls were scattered around the walls and next to a comfortable looking armchair. He wondered whose room this was and where they were, and were disappointed that no one in that damn library seemed capable or able to help him disengage his own enchantment.

With a roll of his eyes, Killian turned to head back out to the library. He sneezed, unable to cover his nose; his face wrinkling into an unattractive scrunch. His eyes became watery and heavy…

“What the hell…oh no,” he sneezed again and did his best to lift the sword above his head, ready for attack if it were to come. But it was short-lived. The spell from the roses took its toll and Killian fell backwards with a loud snore…asleep.
