XiaoVen and ZhongVen content is really funny to me sometimes because it's often "this guy who is the archon of Mondstadt and loves his nation and his people? Let's put him in Liyue"
#to be fair it makes a lot of sense bc zhongli's (previously) active archon of liyue#and xiao's oath to protect liyue#leaving venti the free-est and also has canonically gone to other nations. played the dizi for xiao in liyue etc#but i also find it funny bc. okay look Venti has a Thing about blending into the background#he wants to tell the story of the world and its heros as opposed to be the story of the world or a hero#and in a way does it SO well that a lot of fan content indeed puts the Other as the focus#esp in xiaoven content most focuses on Xiao. bc to be fair Venti probably would focus more on Xiao#but to the extent some liyue-relationship fan content sidelines his mondstadt connections is kinda funny to me#the guy still looks after his people in mondstadt and maybe has a job guiding souls or something#(either that or I have a very skewed sample of zhongven/xiaoven content)#basically what i'm saying is I think xiao and zhongli can leave liyue sometimes too#anyway shoutout to the alchemy event Venti's interaction with Diona is still one of my fav things#genshin talk
