Eddie "Rochester" Anderson (Cabin in the Sky, You Can't Take It With You)—He's best known for his role as Rochester on the Jack Benny Show, but he's so so good as the lead alongside Ethel Waters in Cabin in the Sky. He has the BEST Scrungly little guy voice. You can't tell me otherwise. There's no contest, he's got the whole scrungly guy energy.
Joe E. Brown (Some Like It Hot)—Where to begin? Despite from all appearances being perfectly average sized, his Little Guy energy is off the charts. His rubber face leaves Jim Carrey's in an exaggerated Looney Toons-style dust cloud. He was an actual cartoon character on several occasions. His calling card was just randomly SCREAMING. He was 100% down to marry Jack Lemmon. I could go on.
This is round 2 of the contest. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. If you’re confused on what a scrungle is, or any of the rules of the contest, click here.

Eddie Anderson:
Eddie Anderson was a comedic icon of the time, so famous for his portrayal of "Rochester" that he would often be co-billed with costar Jack Benny and highlighted on posters. One of the first Black film stars to be treated as a celebrity. [link to article on Anderson's career]

[Mild CW in that some people may find Anderson's performance in these clips stereotypical or offensive. As with many all-Black-cast films of this period that were produced with white supervision from the studios, Black talent were often limited by roles that played into prevalent stereotypes. While I'm including Anderson because he does scrungle very hard, I'm doing so with the acknowledgement that this role—like too many afforded to Black actors—was probably not intended to let him truly shine as an actor beyond the limited scope of the stereotypes racist white audiences felt comfortable with.]

Joe E. Brown:
The open-mouthed smile where he doesn't show his teeth automatically catapults to him to the top of my scrungly guy list, and that's without the absolute self-satisfaction and rapscallion energy of the final scene in Some Like It Hot. But come on. Look at him. THAT is a scrungly little guy. You've got to believe me

April 1959. Jack Benny and some of his familiar cast, including Mary Livingston (Benny's real-life wife), Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, Don Wilson, and of course Mel Blanc, voiced mouse versions of themselves in a 1959 cartoon short called "The Mouse That Jack Built," written by Tedd Pierce. The climax of the cartoon has Jack and Mary visiting the Kit Kat Klub, which turns out to be exactly what it looks like!

Saving My Fanfiction Work
First. Side note: This post was only intended to give resources to fanfiction writers and enjoyers. My talk on recent political events was a context/reasoning on why I made this post. Also I’ve had to add more information to this post over time due to people’s confusion in my comments. Explaining it was to make sure that this post didn’t come off as out of the blue for my followers and this community. Which is fanfiction.
Also, why I made this post was from people asking if they could download my fanfiction because of the recent political events in America hence why I named it “saving my fanfiction work” and added my context. So this was also a post to tell people that liked my fanfiction they could download it as long as it was for their personal collection. I merely just wanted to list resources to people who wanted to download fanfiction and don’t know where to start or don’t have the immediate resources. I’m not here to fear-monger. I am just giving resources and the reasoning on why I’m giving them along with urging people to look into those information/recent events as staying aware is important. I respect everybody who’s given their opinion and yes, some of my grammar in this post is not adequate as this post was merely made for giving/stating resources.
Lastly, I will no longer update this post with comments as I’ve said my peace, nor will I pay attention to the notifications as they are muted. As my page is for fanfiction not politics. Thank you for the people in this community who share this post for the resources see you around the tags! Stay safe friends!!✨ Remember I love you! And you are loved!💛

Due to the recent events in the United States. To clarify the recent events being Trump becoming president of the United States, Project 2025 more than likely going to be integrated. If you are not familiar with Project 2025 I urge you to look it up.
Along with the KOSA bill that has many problems and it has passed the senate now needing the finally vote in the house, which both are majority red. Go here to learn more on why it needs to be stopped and how you can. This is another component that will harm our communities. Go to: stopkosa.com
With all of its harmful plans some of the plans are to take down/restrict internet sites that have LGBTQ+ communities that means communities like the fan-fiction communities/sites in the United States.
I am only giving resources to those inside and out of the US in case they banned sites that hold fan-fiction. Better safe than sorry.
Being that I live in the US the possibly of mine and many others Fanfiction has the possibly of being in danger. Therefore I'm giving you recourses. (I'm not leaving or stopping my writing, I'm here for the fight!)
For those wanting to save my fanfiction, I give you permission to download them off of AO3 and to be used for your personal collection. Meaning, your eyes only. To clarify I’m saying this as others have asked if they could download my fanfic so for those who would like to you can.
If you do not know how to download them many others on online have tutorials on how to download them and add them to our phone libraries.

Hans Conried (The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T)—Hans has admittedly a different type of scrungle, I feel, and nowhere is that more present than in the ridiculous Dr. Seuss fever dream, "The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T": While he's mostly known for television, radio, and voice acting (which might DQ him), this is *his* movie, and I'd be remiss not to nominate him for the sheer unhinged nature of his performance as a musical dictator planning to make an army of children play a 500-player piano in perpetuity. Whether he's grinning from ear to ear as he hypnotizes the hero's mother to be his bride, getting into a "hypnotic whammy" with a guy he will order to be disintegrated "atom - by - atom!" at dawn [link], participating in a huge musical number about getting dressed [link], or breaking down into a childish hissy fit when his evil plan is foiled by atomic nonsense, Hans is playing Dr. Terwiliker as a tightly-wound coil threatening to snap at any moment, and it's pure delightful insanity.
This is round 1 of the contest. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. If you're confused on what a scrungle is, or any of the rules of the contest, click here.

February 1943.
Jack Benny did a live show for over eight thousand members of the Canadian Armed Forces outside Ottawa, Ontario.
Most of the Jack Benny Program cast - Don Wilson, Dennis Day, Sam Hearne, Eddie Anderson, and Mary Livingston - were on hand for the performance on February 11, 1943 - although it was not for broadcast.
Mary Livingston read a humorous poem dedicated to Canada’s Armed Forces and the City of Ottawa.
They visited the Parliament Buildings and posed with Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King
They stayed at the Chateau Laurier where they met with dignitaries before flying to Toronto.
CBC Radio's Alex Barris recalled, “Because he couldn't get back to New York in time for his regular Sunday-night radio broadcast, it was arranged that he would do it from the CBC's McGill St. studio theatre in Toronto for a feed to NBC in New York...
“The Jack Benny Show was to air at 7 p.m. and two hours later, from the same studio, Wayne and Shuster were to broadcast their Sunday night Canadian Army Show.
"Since Benny and much of his cast (including announcer Don Wilson and sidekick Rochester) were to be there, anyway, Johnny and Frank invited Benny to be a guest on their program, and he agreed.
“Mr. Shuster remembered that they wrote a sketch that involved Benny trying to enlist in the Canadian Army. Rochester played the recruiting sergeant."

Watch "Eddie "Rochester" Anderson - Bagel And Lox [1946] [Apollo Records]" on YouTube
youtube
Eddie Anderson, best remembered today as Jack Benny's butler Rochester Van Jones, blew his voice out working as a newsboy as a child (child labor laws? never heard of them), but was still so good that he couldn't be ignored.
