it's an au where basically: everyone is human, the light household consists of eldest brother x (xavier), middle brother blues, youngest brother rock, and little sister roll, with dr. light himself becoming more permanent as the chapters progress [+ rush & tango]. the wily household is across the street from them and consists of eldest brother zero (og name unknown) and bass [+ treble], and dr. wily himself.

so you might be like "oh ok so it's basically just a human au with character names slapped on?"

BUT IT'S NOT AND THATS WHY I LOVE IT SO

so the whole thing keeping it megaman™ is that rock has some mental issues (not sure what, it was never disclosed) and to escape his panic he created a little fantasy world in his head that he goes into when stressed or over-stimulated, and this little world is the world of megaman we all know - rock becomes the super fighting robot himself, his friends make up the robot masters (and some have parents that are mavericks from the series and i love it [example: cut man's dad is "boomerang kuwanger"]), and his family and siblings have roles in the story as well.

the plot is essentially that it's a story about rock and bass becoming friends, and along the way, their [stressed and struggling] older brothers get together (why did you expect this to not involve xzero i mean come on, did you read my url? the otp is what drew me in initally [came for the gays, stayed for literally everything else]), trauma is discussed, they try out for soccer, and it's a cute (sometimes very sad and serious) family story and it's really good. it's so good.
