This must be hinting at Unova remakes!” ahh yes I remember when we got Kanto remakes in 2021, Johto remakes in 2022, Hoenn remakes in 2023 and Sinnoh remakes in 2024 because they were hinted at by GO Tour, Johto remakes in 2024 because they were hinted at by the gold Ho-Oh and silver Lugia plushies and Kanto remakes in 2023 because they were hinted at in 151

#look I love Audino and Virizion too but can’t Game Freak just want to enjoy promoting a region’s Pokémon #without it having to mean remakes are coming soon?#(disclaimer: I’m fully aware of the fact that Audino and Virizion are not popular but they’re my favourites from Unova)#and besides if you’re so convinced that Snivy is a Z-A starter do you really think they’d do two games in a row with it as a starter?#especially given the most likely reason they gave us a better trio in PLA than the Sinnoh trio was because they were the BDSP starters #pokémon #unova #you can wait your turn until Gen 10 #anyway the more I think about it the more I’m convinced now is the perfect time to revisit Johto #it doesn’t matter if you count BW2 or the SV DLC as Unova’s latest appearance (I was mainly using the former personally)#if you look at every region’s latest appearance HGSS are the oldest games there #and if we assume every gen has a Legends game from now on #(as well as DLC for the main paired version + the remake pattern continues as expected)#I don’t think there’s space in Gen 10 for a Johto revisit (ignoring DLC and Legends both of which would tell a different story anyway)#it would admittedly be cool if they were like “well 2x5=10 so let’s do Johto remakes and Unova remakes in Gen 10”#but I still think that prevents any chance of a Legends game appearing in Gen 10 bc that would mean 4 games #(counting pairs as 1 game so I guess 7 overall and that’s assuming BW2 are forgotten about)#alongside 2 DLC expansions for Gaia
