hhau world is cruel to birb grian. besides just turning his wings into big shining targets and a huge liability, grian can't have anything his instincts want and crave and yearn for.

preening (as much from himself as from scar—he can't get any version of it and it's driving something in him despondent and mad), idle touches to his feathers, using wings for nonverbal language, using them as a comforting warm blanket on cold nights, flying... the list goes on.

he's a grounded bird that sometimes contemplates if he wouldn't be better off without his wings. that's what this world's done to him.

and oh gosh the things he'd like to do now that him and scar are openly horribly in love? all the new instincts and cravings and urges? all of those things he equally has to stifle and bury deep down... all those things that he feels insane need for but an even bigger terror of them—an emotion that doesn't belong, should never have been put there, and yet it's so deeply rooted and entangled through him now, so much so that it feels insurmountable and irreversible...

it's honestly unfair and so very sad, yeah 😭

I’ve discovered something new and potentially helpful (and kind of amusing, if nothing else) about the early-mid game of Rune Factory 4 - if your human companions are knocked out when it hits 19:00 (which is when they will leave unless you have LV 7 affinity or higher), then even after they’re healed or you move to a new location, they still won’t leave. It seems the game only checks to see if they should leave exactly once, at 19:00, and instead of automatically waking up to leave or just leaving immediately once they’re back up, if they happen to be down when the check happens, then they’ll stay with you however long you want.

If you plan things right you can bypass them leaving and spend several extra hours training/exploring with whoever you want, which is really helpful!

#if this is your situation you should absolutely try to figure out who is doing it though#and esp if you're following a schedule you should try to do it in pairs and keep an eye out for them#a lot of people who put up fascist stickers and flyers#are itching for a chance to do violence against the minorities they are trying to incite violence against#also. making a signal chat is good for this. if you see one sticker on the way to work someone else can come and check the area etc

To anyone wondering if it's worth it to tear down fascist posters or whatever. I spent a few months last year engaged in silent battle with another student at my school who was putting anti trans stickers up everywhere. I had it down to a system where every night I would walk the five block radius they went up in, and tear down all the ones I could reach, and use a stick to put duct tape over the others. Like, within hours of the stickers going up, I would have already purged the whole zone. I knew the basic schedule of whoever put them up based on when and where the stickers appeared. I probably could have found them in person if I'd wanted to. And I told all my classmates and friends what the stickers looked like and got them to rip them down too. And after a few months of this, the stickers slowed, and then stopped forever.

My point is, a lot of this fashy or right wing stuff is one local weirdo. And if you pay attention, and do a little light organizing with your friends, you can basically make their efforts into a giant sisyphisean exercise in misery. You control your streets!

There's a camp of swifties thoroughly convinced that her relationship with Chett is all a beard so that she can still keep touring in the New Christian Republic of Florida, and the interview at the plane was deepfaked.

A different camp of Swifties feels insulted and betrayed that she would be anything less than a paragon of allyship. To them, this is the worst slight the queer community has ever experienced.

A third camp of Swifties insists that she *is* dating Chett, and is also a lesbian. They get insulted that anyone would police Taylor's labels. Comparisons to the Boulder, Colorado shooter are made.

A group of non Swifties tries to point out that everyone is fucking insane and that 'ole taytay regularly tear gases pride rallies to make way for her promenade to stadium venues, and who the fuck cares about this shit and point out that what a billionaire celebrity does for five minutes of PR is not worth your attention or discourse, nor does it warrant harassing other people for the labels *they* use, and isn't it really fucked up that Taylor is making a joke of how people describe their identities?
