First Analysis Previous Analysis Sburb Dog Analysis Next Analysis Hell yes! KGTAC Act 2: Home-Skillet is back baby! Here is my analysis, not too much lore wise outside of me noticing some things i missed before but I'm just glad it's back!

2229: Well this is new! The author seems to be distancing themselves from Homestuck even more. The old house in the Beta looked like Rose house in it's vibes with a dash of John's in it's exterior

2230: Ana's house didn't have an outer area like this at all. It sorta looks like she lives in some sort of city here. Although this background looks so goddamn weird, It's like the sidewalk juts upward constantly here. 2235: Ooh, interesting. The next page animation has direct parallels!

2236: In the Beta it was "Ana: Play a jazzy saxophone refrain." The music here is actually the same as before, it's generally the same as before at the start, just a different environment. The nanny seemingly walked into another house? Then we start seeing a bigger difference. A Showtime remix starts playing as we see FRED TRY EATING HIS GREENS LMAO. This is what we in the business call A REALLY COOL ANIMATION. i kinda wish it was actually playable but that would've been a lot more work. THEN FRED STARTS DANCING. Goddamn we can just make a full Fred Wilmore sprite sheet now, can we. That was an amazing animation. well worth the wait! Now on the theory crafting side of things. The only thing that come to mind is that Fred was expecting EDMOND to be there to eat his greens. Despite as it says in Page 2118 of the holy text "Unfortunately he ran away when you were young. He was a very good dog, though" Though to be fair, we don't know what Fred considers "young". Fred might be one of those kids who considers himself from 2 years ago "young". Another weird thing is that the STRIFE text is in the opposite direction when compared to homestuck... No look! HOMESTUCK STRIFE

2237: I wonder what HIP stands for? This clearly will be incredibly important in ACT 2 DAY 5 ROLL 2 INTERMISSION 3 2244: What's with the red eye? I guess it's just to represent that he's utterly manic right now. 2245: Beautiful animation! This also gives us a better look into the living room here which is nice for anyone looking to make a recreation. (I was actually trying to make one a while back...) 2246: We see a big package (probably his computer) there. It has a watery logo. Kinda looks like a surfboard on a wave? 2247: There's Photochat! 2248: Oh that's a different box, also it's published/made by SKYACOM. Interesting... 2252: Ok so we know that logo belongs to a company called GREENROOM now (Like, is this a reference to Doc Scratch? His room was green, i guess it could also be the felt manor back in Homestuck's Act 3 Intermission. Could also be nothing.), also we now see the desktop! Interesting it says INDEX for the home button, we also now have the EXACT TIME which is 5:30 PM, this will be useful for setting up a timeline! (Not that I'd really bother doing that right now.)

2253: Wait what the hell! Random Act 1 Cursor Appearance? This sorta popped up in Act 1 of Homestuck due to the fact that Homestuck was originally designed to be made entirely in flash. It's interesting that it's showing up here. Maybe it means something, maybe Cole didn't want to animate Fred grabbing Photochat then putting it into the pc. 2255: Hm he's been to a library, maybe there is some credence to him being of the mind aspect (/j) 2264: Ah! I can't believe Cole was so bold to do it so early to kill off such a major character so early, to the forgetful ones in the audience back in my analysis of the FLOPPY DECK (my beloved) i talked about the fact there are only 3 points on the floppy deck, when the BETA Floppy deck had 4 points. I made a crackpot theory that one of the character's would die in Home-Skillet as a big event early on in the story. And well, here we have it folks! Fred is dead, dead dead, deadity dead dead, dead. What a bold move. his death moved me to tears. KGTAC RELEASE

2265: Sweet! Just putting this to note but the pages for this day's of updates (2/3/24) weren't released all at once, we had to wait like an hour when Photochat was downloading. The images were actually uploaded before this and i probably saw them before most because i decided to check because i noticed some pages were being released 1 at a time. Just putting this for historical reasons for anyone reading this in the far future in the [S] END OF ACT 2 flash when Nan unites everyone for the big fight against LORD HUSSIE (/j, man I'm including a lot of jokes in this one) because this small detail would probably be forgotten a few years from now. Heck, I'd probably forget it. 2276: LMAO 2279: Farty Gas, an excellent choice of a name good sir (Lol) 2285: Holy heck, Fred says frick! Also i love the fact he wrote this as if it were a letter, even ending it with a "Take Care" Zimodo in the comment section summarized it best. MEME

SIDENOTE 1: I just noticed… For some reason there's barely any "NAME: DO STUFF" in the ENTIRETY of Home-Skillet. Its mainly just DO STUFF, like seriously. it's not set up like a standard Homestuck command at all. Even KGTAC ACT 1 + INTERMISSION did that when a character was doing stuff. It wouldn't even be forced. Like in pg 2236 it could've been "[S] Ana: Play the sax in triumph." but it's just not? Like before the HIATUS, there was like 1 use, now its like half-n-half and I'm not sure if this is intentional or accidental. Even worse, we started seeing a lot of the standard Homestuck command structure starting February, not before... so even after the Hiatus the command structure didn't include names. Is it because Ana and Fred are talking to each other to prevent confusion or is there some deeper reason... PRE HIATUS

FEBRUARY FOR SOME REASON

2295: Death theory… (Specifically, DC can't enter into his session as his FLOPPY DECK, seemingly died in a valiant battle against time. This is incredibly bad for when you're playing the game that kills you when you don't play it. Now of course this is assuming that HomeSkillet is operating under the idea that the meteors are like destined to hit you and not that the games summon the meteors (I personally don't understand why people think that, was that ever confirmed or is that just popular fanon) But overall, this likely doesn't bode well for DC) 2303: ARG WARNING, DEAR GOD I HAVE TO SOLVE A MYSTERY NOW THESE ARE IMAGES… or not It looks like BrainFuck so uh… Yeah i don't think it means anything big (aka i don't know how i'd even transcribe the text into a working program! Also thinking about it, this might be the item duplication thing i joked about earlier, y'know with the fact that if items are just code on a floppy disc, whats preventing people from copying that floppy. Or in this case putting something on the floppy disc to get an item. Unknown: Crosshair activated towards sector 121 09

(Might actually be helga port 1?) We can guess that these are the coordinates for the meteors, for obvious reasons. And somehow P(ee)P(ee) did something to affect these coordinates. Very interesting. 2311: Light aspect /j 2326: Yep, it's green. Took you awhile farty-gas. It took you page 28 of the BETA to do that. 2332: Reference to Poltergeist 1982, Just noting this because i looked it up. 2335: Welp, that's confirmation. Edmond is dead, Grandma just sorta hid the fact because he probably was 5 at the time. 2359: YES! NO SYLLADEX GAMING! I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO SEE A SBURBVENTURE WHERE A CHARACTER DOESN'T HAVE A SYLLADEX. (To the point I've always imagined making a character for one that doesn't have one, or has some notable issue preventing them from using it fully.) 2390: Music is the same, the art is different when compared to the BETA version KGTAC ACT 2 2390

2425: Fun fact, i saw this image like 20 seconds before the page went up, because ever since the loading screen, i've been checking for that sort of stuff. It looks like we are about to hit an [S] Page. SIDENOTE 3: The Saxophone was always there lmao, i can't believe i missed it, it was even referenced in the text of 2186. I guess you miss stuff when you end up analyzing nearly 100 pages worth of content while trying to balance 6 college classes at the same time.

SIDENOTE 4: These have all been pretty good panels so far, I love all the work that's been put into them, with all these details, especially early on when Cole went and animated the runs there.

The turnaround here is insane tbh looking into it, March 25th the public apology comes out, March 29th the commentary on it on it comes out as an April fools joke. Mildly impressed. Though i can't help but feel bad for the people behind KGTAC Server goes to a convention here being referenced like this. Personally speaking I'd keel over and die here, though to be fair it just takes me remembering something stupid i did a decade ago to make that happen. 13:Lmao "astrosized into out" 28: Now for the reason why I'm looking at this. FRED WILMORE STRIKES AGAIN 30: Helga? I can't remember who that is… also Nan's here and her dialog implies she's writing Home-Skillet. Maybe lore important, maybe the author is just speaking through Nan as some extra commentary on KGTAC Discord goes to a convention. 31: Nan is a Muse of Time? Neat! 32: And now for the main reason im here… TO BE CONTINUED… This if it's not just a silly April fools joke draws a direct connection between ACT 1 and ACT 2 of KGTAC. It's not much to go off of due to it's dubious canonicity but we already know MSPFA exists in the actual comic itself thanks to mspa reader to cite a more recent example and also NAN went on MSPFA in the flash [S] It was the ideas it inspired (and also uh, Act 1 takes place in what could be considered Earth, modern day. So MSPFA existing makes sense) Thanks to these facts it means that it's not impossible this is a sign of things to come, that perhaps we see how ACT 2: Home-Skillet fits into ACT 1: Karkat goes to a Convention

This is probably a stupid question but what does a producer actually do? Like what will Van be doing differently this time compared to the first 3 albums?

No worries, I’m clueless too! I found this on Reddit and this made more sense.

Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but for the first 3 albums, Van had a band behind him so they could make music under the guidance of a producer. For the 4th one, it’s just Van and Sardy. Van can’t do everything himself so Sardy had to step in and help. The roles were reversed sometimes with Sardy being the musician and Van being the producer and vice versa. Am I going about this correctly? This sounds really funny to me, like I’d pay good money to see Van critique Sardy. Their friendship is so funny to me. 😂

Musicians: what does it mean for an album to be co-produced by Van and Sardy? Help. 😂

Yes! Showtime is already out there so there’s no fixing that but they can still remix the other songs. But it seems like Van’s back in the UK now so I’m wondering how they can work on things when they’re not physically together. But maybe this is outside Van’s area of expertise and he’s letting Sardy play with it. 🤷‍♀️ And yeah, there’s also The Balcony 10 year anniversary. I reckon they’d want that out first so the new album doesn’t overshadow its sales.

Going to rate the FF14 Raid OSTs (only 8 man raids, not alliance raids): 6) Shadowbringers Wow, sorry Shadowbringers. Generally I love your OST, and while you have some excellent remixes of FF8 music and trial songs, I kinda never listen to them outside of the game and I just am not a fan of "Promises to keep", very very sorry. 5) A Realm Reborn A nice selection of songs that mostly remix Answers. Sadly, that one is pretty much abandoned content. I did it on Level 90 unsynced for the story and sometimes I go back there for the Wondrous Tales stickers but then you barely can listen to the music before the boss is dead... I wish Squeenix would rework the raid to put it back into the raid roulette. 4) Stormblood I feel insane doing that but sadly... EsCape is pretty much the only thing that I listen to on Youtube. I cannot even recall the song for Tier 12 and the rest are ALL remixes. Excellent remixes but still remixes. 3) Endwalker Endwalker has an insame amount of awesome songs for its raid tier! Scream, Fleeting Moment and Athena's song catapult it to very good and the rest of the songs is also amazing. Some songs are getting re-used though that is why it is on the third place. 2) Dawntrail We don't even have the full raid yet and I am ranking it second?! YES! Because we got four distinct songs and all of them are so GOOD! Yes, also the Brute Bomber song because it encapsulates him perfectly. But Bee my Lovely, Give it All and It's Showtime are all so so good in their way! I cannot wait to hear the rest of the songs. 1) Heavensward Okay... I just cannot help it. It's too GOOD! God, the HYPE I always feel when Alexander Prime shows up there, we ready the Tank LB3 and then the Sonic Boom happens! I love it so much! The whole Alexander OST is PRIME!

Got a few asks which served as a reminder that a while ago, I promised you guys some album reviews! Let's do a couple now.

Homestuck's first album features a lot of songs that we're going to see remixed later on. We've already heard quite a few versions of Showtime and Sburban Jungle, and it seems like a lot of the comic's more 'iconic' songs came from here.

This is a very 'video-gamey' album, featuring songs like Harlequin and Showtime (Original Mix) - which makes sense, since Act 1 was when the comic was trying its hardest to be a video game parody.

My overall impression is that if this was any other comic, this would be an excellent soundtrack - but because this is Homestuck, it serves as excellent raw material for the fantastic soundtrack we're going to be getting later on.

Top tracks: Sburban Jungle (Brief Mix), Showtime (Original Mix), Skies of Skaia, Aggrieve and Sburban Countdown, which I previously praised for how well it evoked the mood of its scene.

Vol. 2 is a nice evolution of the musical style we first heard in the previous volume. It's clear the music team were getting the hang of the 'sound' of Homestuck by point, and it shows.

The second half of Harlequin (Rock Version) is great, and I’m sad it didn’t show up in the animation. Upward Movement’s intro is also new, and I didn’t recognize the song at first. It’s very different from the comic version, and feels a lot more experimental.

This album features four Bill Bolin tracks - several of which were referenced later on, by tracks that are still featured in the comic. I wonder if that was controversial?

This album also features several of the tracks from Jade's FreshJamz account, which the kids canonically produced together. They're definitely newbie tracks, but they have a lot of potential. Hopefully they'll return to this endeavor when we're done with all this Sburb nonsense, because this is clearly where their real talent lies.

Top tracks: Upward Movement, Explore, and Jade's sick bassline from Verdancy.

Vol. 3 features more FreshJamz tracks and a few new remixes. I particularly like Harleboss, a boss remix of a track that probably wasn't intended to have a boss remix. It sounds like the theme for a bar fight in a tavern run by clowns.

Dissension is excellent. It sounds awfully mournful for a Guardian battle track, until you take a closer look at Grandpa, and realize why it has the tone it does. We're also treated to a remix of Dissension, which sounds like the track that would play if Jade fought a living Grandpa. That's an AU I'd love to see.

Top tracks: Dissension (Remix), Ohgodwhat (Remix), and Pony Chorale - a track whose final few seconds might just have featured Rose's canonical voice.

“Given how much has been done in the first decade following Michael’s tragic and untimely passing, it should not be a surprise that there is a natural slowing and spreading out of major releases as the Estate focuses more selectively on projects to enhance Michael’s legacy long term. While we appreciate that the fans want more releases, it is important to keep in mind all that has been created and released in this relatively short time. This includes a number of licensing deals such as the limited-edition collaborations with clothing companies like Supreme and Off White, the launch of the Michael Jackson slot machines, as well as all of the larger scale releases including:

2009: The documentary film This Is It, which remains the highest grossing music documentary/concert film in history. Also released was a compilation album with the same title that includes the songs featured in the film and a few bonus tracks including Michael’s unreleased track, “This Is It”. The album has sold in excess of five million copies worldwide making it the largest posthumous release in history.

2010: The Ubisoft game, Michael Jackson: The Experience. While there were many successful versions of the Ubisoft Just Dance videogame, this was the first (and only) time they released a dance video game dedicated entirely to a single artist! It was released on every major platform and went on to become one of the biggest selling video games on the Wii platform. There were also two releases under the Estate’s agreement with Sony Music – Michael, which was the first release of previously unfinished tracks that were worked on by various producers who had worked with Michael. Notwithstanding the controversy about three of the tracks on that album, it went to #1 around the world and sold more than five million copies. Visions, the complete collection of all of Michael’s short films, was also released.

2011: There have been two completely unique live stage shows created by the Estate in partnership with Cirque du Soleil. The first of these shows, Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour, travelled to arenas around the world for nearly 3 years. Along the way it grossed approximately $400 million at the box office making it one of the biggest tours of all time! And it won the Billboard Magazine Creative Content Award. There was also another release under the partnership with Sony Music – an album, Immortal, featuring remixes of Michael’s recordings created by Kevin Antunes, the musical director for both Cirque du Soleil shows, based on the songs used in the IMMORTAL show.

2012: There was a special Bad album re-release to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Bad album which included remastered versions of the tracks from the original album on one disc together with a second disc that included rarities as well as 6 previously unreleased demos by Michael from the recording sessions for the Bad album. It is worth noting that none of these demos would have been released as ‘new’ recordings, however they worked in the context of ‘bonus’ material for this anniversary release. Also included in the larger box set was a Live at Wembley CD – the first ever Michael Jackson live CD from any of Michael’s solo tours to be released. •Also, as part of the Bad 25th anniversary celebration, the Wembley concert from the Bad Tour was released on DVD. Michael’s performance at this concert is certainly the best live concert performance by any artist ever. As explained at the time, had we been able to locate any original source films/tapes for this performance we would have used those to create a fully edited concert. Unfortunately, that was not the case and we released the only thing we found – Michael’s own viewing copy of the concert. We continue to search for the original elements in the hopes that one day we will be able to share this concert in the best possible format. Just like the fans, we would be ecstatic if this happens. •There was the first of two long-form documentaries produced by the Estate with director Spike Lee at the helm, BAD25, which was premiered at the Venice Film Festival and broadcast on ABC in the United States and broadcast on television throughout the rest of the world. The longer “director’s cut” of the documentary was also released on DVD/Blu-Ray. •There was also a deal with Pepsi to promote the 25th anniversary of Bad and the Bad World Tour, for which Pepsi was the sponsor. As part of the deal with Pepsi, special limited-edition cans were released around the world.

2013: The second live show created by the Estate and Cirque du Soleil, Michael Jackson ONE, which is a more intimate show than the touring show, premiered at its permanent home at Mandalay Bay Resort & Hotel in Las Vegas. While we are aware that it is not possible for everyone to travel to Las Vegas to see this show, we are proud to say it continues to be one of the most successful Las Vegas shows. In fact, it is one of the best shows in the world and is a fitting tribute to Michael Jackson. While it was forced to shutter along with all other live events in early 2020 as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, it will reopen when it is safe and will continue to entertain audiences for years to come.

2014: The second album featuring previously unreleased recordings, Xscape, was executive produced with L.A. Reid who brought in current producers including Timbaland, and the album also included the first posthumously released duet by Michael. Justin Timberlake joined Michael on a version of “Love Never Felt So Good”. This album went to #1 all over the world and another song from this album, “Slave To The Rhythm”, was featured in the hologram performance on the Billboard Music Awards, which gave the show its biggest ratings in decades.

2016: Based on the success of BAD25, the Estate and Spike Lee partnered on a second documentary, Michael Jackson’s Journey From Motown to OFF THE WALL, which looked back at Michael’s early career path and culminates with an in-depth look at Off The Wall. This critically acclaimed documentary premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was broadcast on Showtime in the United States and by other broadcasters around the world. It was also released on Blu-Ray/DVD.

2017: To celebrate the connection between Michael Jackson and Halloween, there was the premiere of the original animated television special, Michael Jackson’s Halloween, which had the best ratings of the night outside of the World Series game. There were also special events in a half dozen select cities around the world that included the screening of the full length version of Ghosts, Michael’s epic short film with Stan Winston, and a special screening of Thriller 3D, which actually had its premiere at a return trip to the Venice Film Festival.. And there was a release of a Halloween themed compilation album/playlist, Scream. There was also another deal with Pepsi to include Michael in their global campaign, which again included the release of special limited-edition Pepsi cans featuring Michael Jackson imagery.

2018: The critically acclaimed Michael Jackson: On The Wall exhibition premiered at London’s National Portrait Gallery on June 28. Following its record setting run in London, the exhibition travelled to three other major European locations – Paris, France, Bonn, Germany and Espoo, Finland. This innovative and unique experience was appreciated and enjoyed by fans and other members of the general public in each city. •In July, a sample from a previously unreleased Michael Jackson recording, “It Don’t Matter To Me”, was licensed in a new similarly titled Drake recording, “Don’t Matter To Me” to further our intention of introducing Michael to new generations of fans through collaborations with current artists. This duet would become Michael’s 44th top ten Billboard chart hit. •And in August, on what would have been Michael’s 60th birthday, we hosted the Diamond Celebration in Las Vegas. In addition to all of the normal birthday festivities hosted by the Estate at Michael Jackson ONE in Las Vegas every year, there was an extra special party attended by invited guests and fans featuring a DJ set by Mark Ronson and a performance by Usher. •Thriller 3D was premiered in IMAX in a limited 1-week engagement in theaters around the world with the Universal/Amblin release, “The House With A Clock In Its Walls” to rave reviews. We hope to find opportunities to show Thriller 3D again in the future.

2019/2020: The Estate had a number of plans, including those for the 10th anniversary of the release of This Is It, that were all impacted by the release of Leaving Neverland. Regardless of the fact that it is not truthful and will be exposed for its lies, in the short term, its release made other media companies reluctant, at least temporarily, to license any new Michael Jackson programming. This has already started to pass. And, of course, in 2020 we are all dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic that has resulted in a delay for the opening of MJ the Musical on Broadway, as well as impacting other plans we had for this year.

All of this is a way to remind everyone how much the Estate actually has done in the last eleven years, and also to remind everyone that as the result of forces and events out of our control, we had to put a pause on big activities for the last eighteen months. There is a theory – one that Michael subscribed to – that one shouldn’t do too much, give the world a rest, and then surprise them with special projects. That remains the Estate’s intention. Michael continues to be the number one streaming catalog artist in the world and with soar to new heights when the Broadway show opens and we are able to complete and release the other projects in process.”

hi 🎁 sorry, for being m.i.a., my work has kept me so busy lately... how have you been tho? yeah, i discovered kdramas around 2016. the hallyu wave didn't really hit my country! dynamite is actually the 1st kpop song i've heard on both national tv & radio (not counting oppa gangnam style of course xD). back in 2016 the only kpop songs i had searched and listened to didn't really stick. now i like a few more songs from other groups but the only group I love is exo — our precious boys ♡ [1/?] 🎁

i was also m.i.a because of work so don’t worry at all! as you can imagine, i’ve been tired but trying to catch up on things ;;

kpop is really hit or miss, like if you don’t hear that one song that will literally drag you into it, then you won’t bother to check any further.

oh boy, deep breath is such a good stage! it's heavy. he really does an amazing job. nini is an amazing performer. i discovered nini before yeollie actually. i saw his jdrama 'when spring comes'. i didn't know he was a kpop artist, i just assumed he was an amazing actor by the way he portraits emotions so well! i found him stunning, charismatic and such a beautiful man! I really love his personality too, he's such a caring human and his relationship with his family is very special. [2/?] 🎁

ok so I already did this one but I have a lot of faves so its ok. Mr jonathan morris like is just a teen that's most of his personality and I love it (daddy issues too which eugh maybe not so much, he needs charlotte to ground him which I feel sorry for), 18 years old brings along his 16 y/o childhood friend to kick draculas ass and they don't worry too much about it. They're banters quite funny too, even though the talk button in the menu just gives you tips on gameplay most of the time during boss battles they have a lot to say about them, it's a nice feature really. That and he's a whole dumbass, you could kill richter with fucking creampies and that's why por is best game hands down (it's not but a paper airplanes also a subweapon which gives it another point). I ALSO LOVE HIS LITTLE VOICE LINES if you complete the game I think starting a new one from the menu has u hear him saying "showtime!" Or when you successfully complete the motorcycle puzzle and he says "YAHOO!!" it's just so adorable. Have I mentioned that he's gay because he is, charlotte clearly shows interest in him throughout but bc he is gay and she is clearly a lesbian and they don't know it he treats her like a little sister and is also oblivious to a lot of romantic advances, hell the only time he's shown interest in a woman was during the astarte boss battle where he LITERALLY has to be mind controlled to do so, that boy *pointing at him* is gay.

📌 how did you find your hyperfixation?

So how I found it was very simple, as a kid (really young I think maybe about 5-7) we had a ds, was absolutely obsessed with it it had warioware kirby all that stuff, but then there was my first castlevania game: dawn of sorrow. Being the sequel to aria of sorrow (my favorite) and also being a kid I had no clue what was going on but I knew a few things, 1) somas surname was cruz and that made me think he was filipino so I liked him very much, 2) the music was really good!! And 3) some of the enemies looked terrifying and I was all for that. I liked looking at the enemy index and reading their descriptions cuz u loved the lore a lot, I always erased and made new files cuz frankly I had no clue what to do after the first or third levels. I also didn't know how the controls worked since I liked using the touch feature a lot. What I remember was when I beat the puppet master (a terrifying looking boss that was in a later level called the demon guest house), and since the magic seal (a feature added in cuz of the touch system, which you had to use after every boss or else they won't die) was kinda complicated to me and I somehow completed it I was proud of myself!! Showed off to my dad too (he didn't care). Later on he got order of ecclissia (another fantastic game) and i loved it even better than dos, the artwork was gorgeous and shanoa..... 😳 Was also very gorgeous. A lot of things were improved since it was the third and last cv game ever to be released by konami (a whole decade ago I'm so sad) and since this was getting too long I'll cut this short. Our ds broke sometime and I was sad but eventually my dad got a lords of shadow game for our pc, I forgot which one it was I think it was the one with victor in it, anyways it was the first game where I was introduced to alucard, I didn't really play it just watched dad or kuya play it and it was also gorgeous. After that id watch boss rushes or playthroughs of castlevania games on youtube for a nostalgia rush, I didn't really know about any of the other games other than the ds ones, at some point I heard they made the netflix series of it which I didn't watch yet. Until last year, cv was pretty much niche to me and far from my interests, it was August or June I think when dad put on an anime site on tv and watched it with us and needless to say I loved the first season, I didn't know about cv3 or any of the other games so the plot confused me but I did know alucard, after watching all of it I went on a huge rush and learned about all of it's lore (in all the games). Dad then taught us how to emulate games and ever since then I've been playing and loving castlevania a lot, so year long story short I played some of the games as a kid and got really into it after watching the netflix series. Although after s3 and being disappointed I could care less about it cuz all I think about are the games.

Portrait of Ruin: Piercing Silence (one of the 3 boss themes, I like it was better since it gets my heart racing but in a good way, has a REALLY good synth later on), Dance of Sadness (a boss theme saved for only the sisters, also really gorgeous with a melancholic vibe), Iron Blue Intention (13th street theme, a remix of the track w the same name in bloodlines)

Symphony of the Night: Dance of Pales (classical and makes you feel lost in wonder, olroxs quarters theme I think) Woodcarving Partita (VERY fancy library theme I absolutely love it), Rainbow Cemetery (ITS THE CATACOMBS GOD ITS SO GOOD, it makes you dance but also let you know that something's up deep in them)

Castlevania Bloodlines: Calling from Heaven (AUGH WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN... One of my top tracks and also 2nd to last level where Johns dying, rly makes u feel y'know)

Lament of Innocence: Leons theme (also called lament of innocence but GOOD GOD ALSO IN MY TOP TRACKS ITS SO FUCKING GOOD, despite not being my favorite gameplay wise the soundtracks absolutely gorgeous even though it's mostly remixes, save from this one. Absolutely funky theme and being my 2nd fave belmont it's also my favorite belmont theme)

Order of Ecclissia: An Empty Tome (The games main theme and also the first two levels in Draculas castle, it describes who shanoa is, being filled with powerful glyphs abilities and a great weapon against dracula but having no memory of who she is, she's an empty tome) Sorrows distortion (ABSOLUTELY KILLING IT albus's boss theme) Wandering of the Crystal Blue (gorgeous theme for the second water stage), Malaks Labrinth (I forgot what the stage name was but also very good), and also (Forgot the stage name but the credits deserve a spot here)

my fomo tour experience!

hi, i attended the first show of the PRETTYMUCH FOMO tour (Irving, Texas at the Pavilion at Toyota music Factory) and this is my experience.

i would first like to say that i’m blessed to have the extra funds to buy last minute m&g

so check in was at 2:30 and i got to the venue at 2:12 - if you’re buying like early entry or m&g, you just need their confirmation email and their i.d.

check in was cool, but it was waiting in the heat - heat that feels like 103 degrees - was where i was slowly losing my mind so i paid $5.14 for a huge bottle of fiji water so that i won’t die.

when you check in (for the m&g) you’ll get two wristbands (one green, one red - the red is a regular paper on), the autographed poster, and the vip lanyard

yes, zion is flipping the middle finger and yes they censored it.

so they let us in at 4:30 - security asked for bags unzipped, phones out, keys out so that the process is streamlined. security took my gift bag here soooo yeah.

MEET AND GREET TIME (what mostly everyone hated because of the experience)

honestly m&g was definitely rushed because it started at 5 and doors open at 6 (fun fact: management changed the time like two days ago)

so this is where we learned not to engage with the boys (yes some fans did but security told us that management said not to) and to take off our bags and lanyards

so when i “met” the boys - TO BE COMPLETELY HONEST - i distinctly remember edwin saying hey, brandon saying hey, me asking if brandon and austin could switch, and zaustin telling me they’re not allowed to kiss me on my cheeks because of management (i’m pretty sure nick said something but i can’t remember it because it was so quick and my thought process was zaustin tbh)

pit starts filling up yada yada

KENZIE - her set is 15 minutes after the showtime and she performs for 30 minutes - my only complaint is that bass was hurting my ears, then i started feeling it in my chest then i lowkey wanted to leave because i genuinely didn’t feel good

intermission yada yada

THE BOYS

before i continue, i just ts wanna let y’all know their set started at 8:30, ended at 9:30 so yes it’s an hour long

i also wanna let y’all know it’s divided into “phases” and there’s four of them

setlist:

phase 1: recruitment lying, 4u, rock with you, phase 2: ???? jello (or) 10k hours (according to the official setlist, it’s genuinely an either or but the or is silent),blind phase 3: remission (the voice is gonna ask about love lmfao) one shot mixed into eyes off you (listen the way it’s mixed goes OFF), temporary heart (remixed), basement version of gone 2 long after gone 2 long, they’re gonna do a dance break/freestyle - edwin: would you mind, nick: no more, zaustin: healthy (mind you: they’re all mixed versions, like wym is just the beat basically, no more is montana’s verse, healthy is pitched down like a mf) solita, voicemail interlude?, real friends, merch throw (a shirt and a hoodie) teacher phase 4: are you ready (fomo recovery) on my way, phases. encore is a remixed version of open arms

my opinions: the boys have really strengthened their breath control, their confidence in their vocals, the stamina, their stage presence, the crowd interaction, the dancing…a great concert experience 10/10 like literally forgot my feet were hurting

the boys hyping each other up is so damn cute!

what i’m wearing: a fancy-ish black lace blouse from express, blue skinny jeans from levi’s, tan leather gladiator sandals from god knows where because they’re my mom’s (we have the same shoe size so i wear a lot of her fancy sandals and heels haha), my signature gold hoops that i wear literally everywhere and all the time (they’re tiny lol), a rubber band on my wrist for emergency hair situations, a simple “gold” ring on my left middle finger, my black glasses ofc, and my hair’s in a bun if that counts.

average amount of sleep: none. i never sleep lol. but when i do, i usually get around 5-7 hours.

dream job: an actor, a detective, or an fbi. i’m probably gonna be a lawyer though due to my religion’s restrictions + rules and other personal reasons.
