#vu's posts#my local pride event didn't have one single piece of aro merch. at all#i checked all the booths... looked at flags stickers and pins... and nothing.#i'm in a very blue state so i know that it's nothing to do with ignorance#hell when i still lived in the fucking bible belt my local pride events had aro stuff#like sorry to dumb liberals who think that we're 'tainting' the community or something#by merely existing#something something conservative rhetoric frames queers as sex crazed and so ppl will go 'no we're not! it's all about love!!'#so they'll throw aros under the bus because we don't feel romantic attraction... which society deems the 'highest' form of love#we're even more demonized if we're aro-allo specifically (e.g. me)#because we 'prove' conservatives right that we hate love and only want sex... by just existing as ourselves.#anyways maybe it's stupid to mad over a sticker sheet of all things... but it's frustrating honestly#(also the one that was hit with the light glare is the demisexual one. apologies for the lighting)
