#so i started at a new job this week and i hate hate HATE this initial phase where i don't know how everything works#and i have no clue what my groups have been doing with their previous teacher and aaarghhgfgh fuck this shit#and i hate having to ask people about stuff and i hate being told that i can just ask anyone for help but like#these people all have their own jobs and i don't want to expect them to be able to help me right that second#and having to ask about things makes me feel so STUPID ugh#i messaged my colleague (who's responsible for my orientation but she's not at the workplace today or tomorrow) about something#and yeah she tried to help me but she also told me i can ''always ask x colleague about things like this as well''#like yes i know but he was nowhere to be seeeeeeeeen but okay thanks for making me feel like a helpless idiot lol#(YES I KNOW she didn't mean to of course!! i'm just being dramatic for the lols)#and i HATE how she keeps talking about this one task i need to do with one of my groups before christmas like#''this is a challenging task btw so don't hesitate to ask for help'' like. okay cool thanks for already making me feel like i'm gonna fail#which again i know is not her intention but. have some faith in me perhaps instead of _expecting_ it to be beyond my skill set??#like of course i get that she only means to make it easier for me to ask for help by saying this#instead of being all ''ah but you've got this!'' which might make me feel like i shouldn't ask for help#but is it really necessary for you to literally tell me that it's going to be challenging because now i'm stressing out about it#more than i normally would 🤡 the brain works in mysterious ways...

misty x reader: freakazoid
Tumblr media
(this will definitely be a multiple parter. we’re just kind of building up stuff here rn but I promise this’ll get more interesting)
anyways no real warnings are needed here since this is just the beginning. just a note that there’s a bit of stalking and mari also drops the f slur.
word count: 4.2k
She's the textbook definition of an outcast. Others avoid her like she's a hazard. Misty doesn't remember the last time someone has approached her willingly. Whenever Misty lurked around, it was always good to make sure she didn't spot you first. That way, she wouldn't invite you to a conversation less preferable than shitting your pants.
You sometimes passed Misty through the hallways. No words were exchanged and a glance was barely given. You tended to follow the orders of others and evade eye contact with her. But you were captivated by the lone wolf who yearned to find her pack.
Today you noticed Misty Quigley sitting alone at lunch, as per usual. You took a good minute staring at her before Mari nudged you on the arm. Oh yes, a typical advocate against befriending Misty or speaking with her at all for that matter.
"Whatcha looking at?" Mari asks, chewing on her Fruit By The Foot.
"N-Nothing." You shrug, hoping Mari didn't catch you observing the only member of the social suicide squad.
"Yeah sure," Mari laughs. "Were you looking at the freak too? I don't blame you. Look at her. She's so fucking creepy."
Akilah chooses to ignore the conversation and chew on her peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She could always resist the allure of juicy gossip. Akilah cared mainly about her friends and scoring exceptional grades on her SATs. She was too pure of heart for her own good.
"I hear people say similar things," you say. "But nobody ever mentions anything specifically, aside from rumors that seem too dramatic to be true."
"You don't know her," Mari says. "Trust my judgement. It's not just one person that doesn't like her. Literally nobody likes that weirdo."
"That's not very nice," Akilah mumbles.
"What!? It's true. Look, you don't have to be nice about it. I'm just telling it how it is. You'll know just from being in a room with her, trust me."
"She can't be that bad," you reassure Mari. "I think not enough people have given her a chance."
"If you want to befriend the oddball, be my guest. But I'm not coming to rescue you if she does some crazy shit. Call the cops, not me."
"You make it sound like she's a wanted criminal,” Akilah says. “It’s not like she’s gonna kill anyone.”
“I wouldn’t put it past her,” Mari responds. “Let’s be real here.”
“I’m gonna talk to her,” you finally declare, slamming your hand on the lunch table.
“What?” Mari gawks. “Why? Do you have to work with her on some project?”
“N-No? I’m doing this because…well…what can I say? I’m interested.”
“Please tell me this is some sick joke.” Mari shakes her head. “Oh my god, are you on drugs? Do you have a dealer? Can you hook me up with them?”
“I’m not joking, Mari. I think it could be a cool experience.”
“Don’t word it like that,” Akilah suggests. “Sounds like you’re using her. You’re…not using her, are you?”
“No!” You reply. “No, of course not. I think I should genuinely get to know her. I know Mari’s looking at me like I’m an idiot right now.”
“You definitely are one,” Mari confirms. “I mean, seriously? Misty fucking Quigley? Do you want nobody at school to ever talk to you again? Do you want to embarrass me, embarrass Akilah?”
“I’m not embarrassed,” Akilah says.
“Shush. You will be.”
“I won’t.”
“It hasn’t happened yet, Akilah. That’s why. It will, though. Ugh, why do neither of you know how to navigate the social hierarchy that is highschool? I’m stuck with Quigley 2.0s!”
Now that felt like an insult and a half. Akilah didn’t seem fazed, but you appeared slightly more perturbed. Perhaps you were falling into the hands of the school wide propaganda against this one teenage girl.
Nope. Despite the lack of support from your friend, you were going to introduce yourself to Misty. You didn’t have a planned out opportunity or designated time where Misty would become your acquaintance. Whatever scenario that felt into your lap would be the proper one.
You wanted to let things progress naturally. Start off with a simple accidental conversation and develop the bond from there. Ugh, all this contemplation was already too much planning. Just bump into her accidentally. Don’t even cause a distraction. Just say hello and see if she waves back.
You knew Misty Quigley was on the Yellowjackets team. However, you also understood that she didn’t play a particularly huge role on the team. She served only as the equipment manager from chatter you’ve heard. From that information alone, it made sense why her popularity didn’t match that of some of the other Yellowjackets. Arguably the most insignificant role on the team, arguably the most forgettable one. She may not have to be unknown much longer though.
You’re not gonna turn her into some movie star. No, her name isn’t going to be put on billboards or teen magazines. But maybe you can cause the girl to feel less alone in this cruel, dog eat dog world. Maybe Misty’s outer shell could be cracked with gentle talk and genuine intrigue. Mari was always overly harsh on people. Maybe this girl just needed someone to care about her for fucks sake. Fuck it if the idea sounded ludicrous.
On the way to Mari’s soccer practice, you stop her in the middle of the hallway with a tap to her shoulder. She groans and turns around, relaxing when she realizes it’s you.
“Hey, Mar. Um, I wanted to know if there was any chance I could…watch you practice today. Y’know, just for fun. Just to cheer on my friend.”
“Why the hell would me or Coach say yes to that?” She laughs in disbelief. “Um, no? That’s not how that works.”
Mari squints her eyes. She suspects an ulterior motive, but you don’t reveal explicit details.
“Well, I kinda wanted to see if I could make the team.”
“Tryouts are already over,” Mari states. “You missed the window. I feel like you knew that already, though.”
“N-No it’s just….” You try to think of a decent excuse. “I thought it would be fun to observe, Mari. Is it such a big deal that I want to watch you practice?”
“You’re not like…crushing on me, are you?” Mari arches an eyebrow. “Are you a fag? Oh my god, are you a fag, Y/N?”
You brush Mari's crude question aside. "So that's a no then?"
"It's not like I don't want to hang out with you," Mari reassures in a moderately vexed voice. "But I don't see why you just can't wait after practice. It makes me think you're plotting something without me. And I can't figure out what."
"Don't worry." You tap Mari on the shoulder before she gets more doubtful, walking away on the route to your home.
Once you arrive home, you find something sticking out of your mailbox. You poke at the slip of paper. You weren’t anticipating any mail, so your eyes naturally widened at encountering the odd white sheet.
You struggle to pull the sheet of paper out of the gray mailbox. The paper is deeply jammed in there and when you finally manage to grab it out, a corner of the paper rips.
The sheet of paper reveals a drawing in black ink. There’s no writing or words on the letter for that matter. There’s only a drawing of a person petting a dog. They’re next to a pool and the unknown person is on their knees. The drawing isn’t colored in. It’s completely black and white and the illustration is reduced to simple stick figures.
It’s not the best piece of craftsmanship you’ve been, but the illustration is cute enough. You slip the picture into your pocket without suspicion and head into your house.
⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆
“Akilah,” you call out your other friend’s name, hurrying over to her as she travels home the next day. “Hey, wait up a second.”
She stops for you. She always does.
“So, I just wanted to say that…the drawing you left in my mailbox was pretty cool. I don’t really know what it means, but I appreciate it nonetheless. It’s cute.”
Akilah stares at you like you just spoke a foreign language.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Look there’s no need to be shy about it,” you smirk. “It was sweet. It doesn’t have to mean anything. It’s just a nice gesture from a friend, I guess.”
“Don’t start this.” Akilah shakes her head but remains polite. “You’re the one who used to have a crush on me, remember? And I didn’t send you any drawings.”
Now you felt like a complete dolt.
You scratch the back of your neck. “I’m sorry, Akilah. I didn’t mean to bring that up again. I just thought that you were trying to win me back or something.”
“There was nothing to win back,” Akilah sighs. “I never reciprocated your feelings.”
“Please don’t make me look more stupid,” you respond sheepishly, knowing it’s better to admit defeat. “I got the wrong person. I just figured it couldn’t be Mari, since Mari would never do something nice for me like that.”
Akilah giggles at your shifty eyes and awkward stance. However, she doesn’t thrive on your embarrassment. Akilah would rather see you guided by confidence rather than crawling into a hole from mortification.
You didn’t wish to imply that your friendship with Mari was less genuine. But, it would be moronic of you not to note how upfront Akilah is with her benignity compared to her counterpart.
The two of you take a detour from Akilah’s home, traveling down a grassy path. Akilah nearly trips on a rock lodged in the dirt, but you firmly grab her hand before she manages to slip.
“Watch it,” you warn sternly.
“I’m fine,” Akilah reassures, but you still choose to not release her hand. “Was just a little trip.”
The next thirty seconds of the walk are silent. Then, Akilah drops a question on you, your hand still interlocked with hers.
“Why did you never pursue things with me?” She lowers her head. “What stopped you from, y’know, trying?”
“Well, it was always the age gap for me. Didn’t feel comfortable going out with a junior. That always bothered me when I had my crush on you. Made me feel like a predator.”
“You do realize I’m only one year younger, right?” Akilah snickers. “I’m a junior, not a freshman. It wouldn’t have been that weird.”
“Didn’t feel right. I think we were always better off as friends. And I think you know that too.”
“Maybe. You never did give it a shot though, Y/N.”
You let go of Akilah’s hand and slide your own hands into your pockets.
“I’m sorry, Akilah. I didn’t want that to get brought up again. I know it’s awkward for the both of us. I’m trying to move past that.”
“Are you still not over me?”
“No, no I am. I just still get embarrassed when I think about…yeah.”
A few feet away, Misty Quigley is tucked behind a bush. She’s jotting down every single line from the conversation you’re both having. When she senses you both are getting close, she freezes up like a deer caught in the headlights. Then, she goes back to writing.
Usually, Misty’s handwriting is neat, bubbly letters with a heart replacing every dot on the letter i. However, she doesn’t want to miss a single piece of information, anything that could be crucial to getting close with you. Her hand trembles as she writes, but Misty ignores the cramping.
Misty’s eyes are locked on you only, not even bothering to focus on Akilah’s presence. You were such a fascinating being. How had she not studied you earlier? Imagine if she hadn’t eavesdropped on a conversation between you and Mari in the halls.
Soccer practice. What a joke. Most people don’t randomly gain an interest in soccer within an hour. Misty was correct to suspect another motive. And thank god she pursued her suspicions.
“It’s okay to be shy,” Misty whispers. “Everyone’s a little afraid of me. But, it looks like I’ll have to lure you closer to me instead.”
Misty hums, creating a little doodle in the corner of the page.
“That’s okay. I don’t mind a little challenge. You’ll see just how good I can be to you. And then, you’ll never want to be apart.”
⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆
You could’ve sworn you just saw Misty Quigley stand uncomfortably close to your locker. You didn’t see what she did there or if she did anything for that matter, but you know she lingered there too long. Oh well. Mari did say she was a weirdo. You supposed that was part of her charm.
Wait, there was your chance. She’s hanging around. Mari’s not there to discourage you from gaining some new allies. Face your fears. Go up to her. Who gives a shit what people say?
You follow your heart. Though to your surprise, Misty turns around before you even get a chance to tap her on the shoulder.
“Oh, sorry I-“
“It’s fine!” Misty cuts you off, smile unnaturally wide. “Isn’t it cool how you were gonna speak to me first? But then I read your mind and totally beat you to it? Isn’t that insane?”
Oddly coincidental, but you play along.
“Sorry.” Misty lowers her head. “I’m not used to people going up to me. So, I get kind of excited when I see someone actually wants to talk to me. Nowadays, it feels like the only person I really get along with is my boyfriend!”
“Your boyfriend?” You raise an eyebrow. “I didn’t know you were dating anyone. Doesn’t sound like you’re that lonely.”
“Welllll…okay, technically we’re still in the talking stage. He totally has a crush on me, but he doesn’t really know it yet. He lets stupid things like societal rules hold us back.”
“Societal rules?” You blink. “Um, is this relationship illegal?”
“It’s totally not! It shouldn’t even be controversial if you’re a true romantic. But I think the fact that he works at this school makes this a more, um, forbidden romance.”
Eh, you didn’t understand Mari’s warnings. Misty was quirky, very quirky to be honest. But she was also seemingly harmless.
“May I ask who exactly this forbidden crush is?”
Misty leans in dangerously close. Her voice shrinks down to a whisper.
“Can you keep a secret, Y/N? Like a real friend would?”
“F-Friends? I didn’t even realize we were friends.”
Misty gives you puppy dog eyes and frowns. “You don’t want to be my friend? I thought we had a connection.”
“N-No, it’s not that! Misty, I just didn’t know if you wanted to leap that far since we just met.”
“It’s fine,” Misty sighs. “Guess I’ll just go back to being myself, hanging out alone and sulking at the wall. Having people make rumors about me and having nobody to back me up, not being able to develop secret handshakes and keep secrets like two BFFs would.”
“No, it’s fine. Misty, it’s fine. Don’t feel bad. I didn’t mean it like that. I was just initially shocked. But, I wouldn’t mind being your friend. Of course I wouldn’t mind.”
Misty’s grin is restored.
“Do you mean that, Y/N? Okay, great! Listen, this secret is super juicy though and I can’t let it get out to anyone! So, you gotta make sure that you keep this under wraps.”
“No problem.” You nod your head. “Yeah, go on.”
“So,” Misty begins to murmur. “I have a huge crush on Coach Ben. You know the assistant coach on the Yellowjackets team? Yeah, I have a huge thing for him.”
“B-But he’s way older than you. That sort of relationship wouldn’t actually be able to form, unless Coach was a creep.”
“He needs some convincing anyway,” Misty continues. “He loves playing hard to get, but I see those glances he gives me when I’m helping out with the equipment.”
You shrug, merely listening to the rant.
“And besides, who wouldn’t crush on him? I mean, that luscious hair and those chocolate brown eyes. And his physique too! God, he’s irresistible.”
“I don’t see it personally.” You shrug. “But your secret is safe with me. Not that I think you have any competition with him.”
“That’s nonsense! There’s gotta be another girl in the school that likes him. He’s too hot not to be liked. But hey, if no other girls like him, then I won’t need to compete like you said.”
“Well, I’m flattered that you’d trust me enough to tell me about this.”
“I can already tell we’re going to get along great!” Misty slaps you playfully on the back. “I don’t think we have any classes together, but I could always invite you over to my house. Maybe we can talk about your own crushes. I’m a pretty good secret keeper myself.”
“Back to your home? I-I—would I even be welcome? We just met. Not that I’d mind! Just that it’s very soon.”
“Friendship waits for nobody, Y/N. If there’s a click, there’s a click. There’s no point in waiting around if we don’t have to.”
“You have an…interesting friendship philosophy, Misty. But, why not?”
“If it’s too sudden, we can just hang out somewhere outside of school. C’mon, we could go to a local spot that’s got cool burgers. Or a place with really good slushees. We could go wherever you want to go really. I promise!”
“Nice sweater, anal lover!” A girl passing through the halls loudly laughs. “Was Goodwill having a sale?”
The pair of girls strolling with her also giggle and whisper something about Misty’s ‘poodle hair.’
Misty’s mood instantly shifts. Her hands ball into tight fists and her body vibrates. She covers the cat print on her sweater, dropping her head in shame.
“My mom made it for me,” Misty grumbles. “My mom was the one who knitted it.”
“Hey,” you attempt to console, petting Misty’s shoulder. “Don’t let them get to you. They’re just assholes. I think your sweater really stands out, in a good way. It’s the first thing I noticed about you.”
“Wait, really?”
“Yeah,” you compliment eagerly. “It’s really eye-catching. I think those idiots are jealous of you because it makes your outfit pop. It’s unique and looks neatly put together.”
“Woah. I-I, um, well…nobody’s ever complimented my sweater before. People are usually quick to make fun of it.”
“Don’t worry about them, Misty. What matters is I like the sweater.”
Misty feels like sunshine has been brought back into her world. She squeals and grabs you by your hands, holding them close to her and nuzzling against them. Kindness towards her was such a rare occurrence that your praise felt unbelievable. Misty didn’t feel like herself. There was a whole other person being complimented. There’s no way she would be rewarded for her style of all people.
Please don’t be a sick prank. Please don’t be an early April Fools joke. Please don’t lead me into a pit of tragedy where I’ll be disappointed and it’ll damage my psyche. I’d never recover. Please be kind to me. Please be kind, cruel world.
“I knew it right from the start, Y/N. Right when I first laid eyes on you, I knew we would be incredible friends! Ugh, I should’ve meant you sooner.”
Misty had so much gratitude stored in her. The stories you’ve heard about her must be clear exaggerations. You’ve never met someone so relieved to be receiving a compliment. You literally saw the light enter Misty’s eyes again. It’s as if you found the cure to loneliness.
“We’ve got to hang out, Y/N! Oh, it’s a must! Wait, wait. Let me start writing down some places we can visit.”
The late bell rings.
“Holy macaroni,” Misty says.
“Shit, I-I guess-“
“We gotta-“
“Yeah. Um, it was really great meeting you Misty. Maybe we can meet outside of school, today or tomorrow.”
“Absolutely. Y/N, I think we’re going to get along better than you even expected.”
Misty watches you walk off hastily, a smirk forming on her lips. Her hand twitches, reaching back into her pocket for her notepad. She plans out the next breadcrumb she’ll place on the trail.
⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆
“Whatcha thinking about?” Misty pokes you. You’re both sitting on the grass outside of the building together and she senses that you’re in your head.
“Fucking trigonometry,” you reply. “As stupid as it is. Mr. Levine’s assignments have me in a chokehold. I can barely remember anything from the lesson.”
Tutoring, another perfect opportunity to get closer to you. Oh, everything was falling into Misty’s lap.
Now even Misty had to be honest with herself and admit that mathematics wasn’t her strong suit. Her strengths were more suited to the various sciences that existed. However, if she could sound intelligent enough, you might buy her fibs. She could pass off as a genius if the correct wording was used. Misty just had to appear confident, like she knew what she was doing.
“Trig isn’t that bad!” Misty beams. “It just takes some practice to get good at. You should really let me help you.”
“Maybe you’re better at tutoring than that clown. Mr. Levine talks at about a 100 hundred miles per hour. And then he’s got the nerve to act confused when we ask him to clarify what he means.”
“I’m a great tutor!” Misty encourages. “I have a lot of experience, amongst other things.”
“What do you mean other things?”
“Shhhh,” Misty coos. “Don’t worry about that, silly head. Now come on. Let’s take a look at this problem together.”
You nod and review the problem with your new companion. All that registers is degrees and angles. It’s only the first word problem and you can already feel brain fog clouding your head.
“So first,” Misty instructs. “We have to decide what function to use. Would it be sine, cosine or tangent?”
“I don’t even know what those last few words mean.”
“Allow me to assist.” Misty takes on the role as your personal teacher with pride. “So for this particular problem, you would have to use the tangent function. Do you remember the equation for it? Or do you need a refresh?”
You shudder as Misty rubs your hand.
“Misty, I’m completely lost. I gotta be honest. Like I know fuck all.”
Surprisingly, Misty doesn’t lose her patience.
“So for an equation regarding the tangent function, you need to have a fraction. The opposite side goes on top and the adjacent side goes on the bottom.”
Blah, blah, blah. This conversation was boring. Misty took her job too seriously. You thought tutoring with your friends was about accomplishing less work and using your time to crack jokes instead.
“Oh.” Misty leans her head on your shoulder. “I know you’re overwhelmed. But with my practice, you’ll become the best mathematician in the world.”
“I think I just want to pass trig for now, Misty. Then maybe I can focus on being a smarty pants later.”
“Tell you what,” Misty says. “Maybe I can host some private tutoring lessons at my place? This school environment might be overstimulating you a bit. Y'know, all those kids chatting and the sounds outside.”
“Are you sure that’s the issue?”
“Yeah! If I can get you in a secure and private place, then I’ll be able to teach you trig concepts more effectively. Doesn’t it make sense when you put my reasoning together?”
Misty just wants to help. She needs to serve a purpose. She desperately needs to belong to someone. She’ll obtain any connection that’s in reach.
“I’ll make it worth your while. What do you say? Come on, it won’t be a big deal! My parents won’t mind.”
What reason do you have not to accept her offer? It’s a simple choice. Attempt to receive lessons from Misty or fail trigonometry. The decision shouldn’t seem so complex. But there’s an odd feeling in your gut telling you that the scenario is too good to be true. Still you ignore it and brush it aside. You’re not the math whiz here. What the hell do you know?
“Sure, it’s a deal.”
“By the way, your backpack is so cool.” Misty’s hand lands on your backpack, pretending to feel it. But she secretly slips her hand into one of the outer pockets, pulling out a pencil of yours when you’re not paying attention.
After you guys make your plans, you wish Misty farewell and leave. She stares at your pencil like she’s acquired a rare copy of the Mona Lisa. Another souvenir to take home, another treasure of yours to treat like a pot of gold.
“My precious,” she sighs dreamily. “You’ll look great in my collection.”

*Five years ago*
"I'm going to die alone," You groaned.
Were you being dramatic? Yes. But you were seventeen and truly felt like the most undesirable girl. No one had ever shown any interest in you. Your best guy friend, Eddie, was trying to convince you otherwise.
You had known Eddie since first grade but only got to know him once you went into tenth grade.
"Come on, don't be like that" Eddie spoke.
You were hanging out in the Shire, a.k.a. Eddie's bedroom, reviewing the new DND campaign, making sure there were no significant loopholes the others could get through.
"It's true! No guy had ever liked me like that, or if they have, they're all weird, and I don't like them back... Remember Lorne? He told me he liked me out of the blue when I hadn't spoken one word to him.'"
Eddie chuckled.
"It's not funny, Eddie! What was I supposed to say? I hardly knew the guy."
"I'm sorry. You're right. It's not funny." But he was still laughing.
"Ugggggggh," you rested your head back in defeat.
"So what if non of these shitty high school guys aren't interested? You're way out of their league."
"You're just saying that as my best friend."
"I'm really not. They are all douchebags or interested in anything other than getting a girlfriend."
"What about you?"
"What about me?"
"Where do you fall in that line?"
"I'm different." He smirked.
All you could do was roll your eyes. Of course, Eddie was different. He was Eddie. Your Eddie. Eddie, who you sprung a teeny tiny crush on within the last couple of months.
"I feel like such a loser, Eds. I'm seventeen and haven't even had my first kiss." You admit, softly.
"What?" This caught Eddie by surprise.
"You heard me." You mumbled.
"Impossible."
"Well, I'm not lying." You snap.
"Don't believe you"
"Well, you don't think I would have told you if some guy came up to me and planted one on me?" You folded into yourself. Succumbing to your self-depreciation.
Why didn't he believe you? Was it really that hard to believe that you were such a loser that no one has even ever tried to kiss you?
"Okayyy. So what if I helped you with that?" he pushed you back up.
"What?"
"I mean-shit- you obviously don't have to; you probably don't want to kiss me. We are just friends. But if you want to get it over with, you can...-I can help you." He rambled.
"Okay," You answered without thinking. You've wanted to kiss Eddie for months. You wanted him to be your first.
"Yea?"
You nodded your head, afraid of what might come out of your mouth next.
"Uh-okay"
You both shift, so you're facing one another. You don't move, unsure of how to approach this. Eddie was much more experienced than you. He probably already lost his virginity at this point. But the two of you never spoke about that.
So here you were, sitting on his bedroom floor, with your eyes closed, like a statue, until Eddie leaned in. You felt his warm, plush lips against yours. Butterflies soared in your stomach. It was just like everyone always described it to be. You felt the connection, that spark. The kiss felt like it lasted hours when, in reality, it was nothing more than a peck. But as far as first kisses go, you were convinced it was the best.
"Wow," you let slip when he pulled away.
Eddie chuckled softly and leaned back on the bed like nothing had happened.
Your stomach dropped at the realization that you and Eddie were, in fact, just friends. He didn't feel the connection you had.
"Thanks," you managed to get out without your voice cracking in disappointment.
"Anytime, Pip." He smiled and then went back to the DND campaign...
To add more salt to your wound, Eddie was arm-in-arm with Veronica a week later. Eddie had never even mentioned interest in her. You spoke every day. You never once hear him display any interest in a girl... another girl when not even six days ago he was kissing you in his bedroom. And that's when you decided to distance yourself from Eddie Munson.

*Present Day*
After a very long four years of college out of state, you were back in your hometown of Hawkins, Indiana. Freshly twenty-two, you finally blossomed into the young woman you were meant to be. At college, you got to find yourself and your people. Once you had found your confidence, you grew into yourself. You had got a haircut that flattered your face and styled yourself with clothes that made you feel comfortable and confident. Before, it used to be all-black jeans and band tees that hid your figure. But now you find wearing skirts, dresses, and colo!
You used to be a late bloomer, but now you have gained many life experiences. However, you still need help in the love department. Your college years had been your party girl era, for sure. However, nothing ever went past a makeout session in the bar because you weren't like that... you wanted to have sex with someone you trusted, who you loved. Not some random stranger.
So here you were, back home in the early days of summer, and you were out job hunting. You'd been out on Main Street, in and out of stores, looking to see who was hiring, handing out your resume for about half an hour.
The sun was scorching for this time of year, causing you to start sweating and feel uncomfortable without air conditioning. As you walked by the local record store, you noticed they were advertising a job opening, and it felt like fate. You breathed a sigh of relief as you stepped inside the cool store. The door chimes jingled, announcing to anyone who was around that a customer had arrived. The store appeared empty, with not a soul in sight.
"Hello?" Your voice filled the empty air. "Hello?" You repeated once again a minute later with no reply.
"I'm here to apply for the job?" You peek around the back of the counter. As you looked over, you noticed a slightly open door. A figure passed by, but they didn't seem to notice you.
You respectfully waited a few more minutes but were becoming impatient. You decided to round the back of the counter and knock on the door labelled Staff Only.
"Excuse me." You knock and push it open a little further so you can see inside the staff room.
You notice a young man facing away from you, wearing headphones covering his ears. The loud guitar and bass sound emanates from the headphones. It's no surprise that he couldn't hear you.
"Excuse me?" You say a little louder, but it doesn't seem helpful. You sigh and walk up to him, hoping he doesn't take a swing at you for sneaking up on him.
Apprehensively, you tap the man's shoulder twice before stepping back quickly before they can react.
"What the fuck?" They rip off the headphones, and your stomach drops as you recognize the voice. Your prediction is confirmed as Eddie turns around with a frightened look on his face.
"You can't be back h-" He cuts himself when the reality of who he was talking to hits him.
"Eddie?" you cock your head in curiosity.
"Oh my God, Pippin?" he smiled brightly.
It had been four years since the last time you saw him. You briefly crossed paths in the hallways of Hawkins High, but the two of you hadn't spoken more than a sentence to each other since the day he kissed you. It was nice to hear his voice again.
"Hi," You smiled.
Eddie swore he heard angels singing when you spoke. You looked different, good, but different. More confident. More like yourself.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Trying to apply for the job posting. I've been waiting ten minutes in the store calling out for someone like a moron." You giggled.
"Shit, sorry, I was just on my break." He scratched the back of his head, letting his bicep flex in his tight band tee.
You tried your best not to stare at him, but your attraction to Eddie lingered. He looked really good, having filled out more and grown out more facial hair than he had in high school. He still, however, had his pretty wavy locks. They were just a bit shorter than you were used to.
"Oh, sorry, I can come back later."
"No!" He blurted out. "I mean, it's really good to see you..."
"It's nice seeing you too; it's been a long time," you shy.
"Yeah" He sighed.
"So are you the person I need to talk to about the job or..." You try to fill the awkward silence.
"Shit, yeah, I guess so. I'm, uh, the manager." He cleared his throat.
"Wow, manager, very impressive! Moving on up in the world, Munson," You laugh.
"Watch is missy; you want the job or not?" He slung his arm around your shoulder and walked you back out to the front of the store.
You couldn't help the shiver that broke through your body when his arm made contact with you. It didn't help that he also smelled delicious.
"Well, if it means I get to work alongside you? ... Yeah, I want it," You flirt.
"Oh, I see buttering up an old confidant for a job." He smirked.
"Things with Eddie returned to normal as if nothing had ever changed. Like you never left. Like he never kissed you, then broke your naive teenage heart.
"Well, the job is yours if you want it." He smiled.
"Just like that?" You ask in shock.
"Just like that. I don't wanna go through all that paperwork and boring questions. I know you, trust you. It's full-time. $5.50 an hour. So it's yours if you think you can stand working with me daily."
"I think I can manage that."
"Great. We can start training tomorrow at 10:00am."
"Deal." You reached out to shake his hand, but Eddie only stared at it like you were crazy.
"Come on, Pippin, a handshake? Who do you think I am? Bring it in." He opened his arms up to embrace you in a hug.
Pippin. No one but Eddie called you that. It was a nickname he gave you in the tenth grade because you were smaller than him... He said Pippin was the best hobbit from his favourite book.
"You know I could have robbed the store, and you wouldn't have known a thing," you quip, trying to play off the way your breath hitched when you embraced him.
Your hormones would have to chill if you were going to work together.
"That's why security cameras were invented, sweetheart."
"Oh," You shied away. You weren't as clever as you had thought.
"I'll see you tomorrow," he guides you out the door.
"Bye, Eddie." You smile.
Tumblr media
Over the next three weeks, you and Eddie picked up where you had left off all those years ago. Things were good, great even. The flame that had been blown out was brought back to life and hotter than ever. There was an extreme tension between the two of you.
However, you both were avoiding the elephant in the room. It was fine until it wasn't. It was eating at Eddie. He loved having you back, but needed to know why you left and ended the friendship.
You were stocking up the new supply of jazz cassettes that came in when you felt Eddie come up behind you.
"Hey, so -uh- what happened?" he leaned back on the shelving, as he crossed his arms.
"What do you mean?" you chirp. Did you do something wrong? Was the till not even?
"With us, I mean, one day we were best buds, and then the next you were just... gone. I really missed you."
Oh, so we are having this conversation. You knew it was inevitable.
"You mean you really don't know?"
"Know what?"
"God, men are dumb," you mumbled under your breath.
"Hey! I heard that"
"Good." You deadpan.
Eddie stared at you blankly.
"You kissed me, Eddie. That meant something to me. Then you were with Veronica a week later..."
"Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, what?" Eddie's eyes went wide with confusion.
"Eddie..." You sighed. This conversation was giving you a headache.
"Pip, I didn't? I wouldn't. I-"
"Forget it, Eddie. It was a long time ago."
"Did you like me or something?" He genuinely asked.
"Or something," You mumbled back.
"Pip, I'm sorry I didn't know... I had no idea you liked me like that. I would have never offered to kiss you if I had known. I never wanted to lead you on."
"It's okay, Eddie. We were seventeen. I eventually got over it, but I had to not be around you to do that. I'm sorry I ran away... I missed you. Like a lot."
"Pip-" Eddie began, but a customer was ready to be rung up at the counter.
The rest of the day was busy, and your shift ended before Eddie's did today. So you quickly said goodbye and waited to talk to him the next day.
Eddie needed to make things right between you. What you had once was so good, and now it seems to be even better than before. Eddie was becoming infatuated with you. He got excited to go to work when you were on schedule. He loved making you laugh; seeing that beautiful smile across your face was his favourite pastime. He could have had that all these years, but it was all ruined for some hot piece of ass Eddie got for a few weeks in their senior year.
Eddie had met Veronica in his grade twelve English class. She was way out of his league, so when she agreed to go out with him, he was only thinking with his dick.
He was thinking about her and how she would be on his knees for him when he kissed you for funsies. He was not thinking about how it would have affected you. He was a selfish teenage boy being controlled by his hormones. Because of that, Eddie was now facing the consequences of his actions all because he wanted to get his dick wet in the twelfth grade.
“Hey Pip, can I talk to you for a sec?” Eddie greeted you when he walked in for his shift mid-afternoon.
“Sure what’s up?” Things were a little rocky since yesterday and you didn’t know where you stood.
God what was this so hard? Why did you make him nervous?
“I uh. I was hoping we could hang out… you know. Outside of work. If you wanted. I wanted to make up for being an ass.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.
"Okay." you smiled.
"Awesome! We are both off on Friday… I made sure.” Eddie said with a goofy smile. God, you were so falling for him again.
Tumblr media
You and Eddie have been spending time together outside work every chance you have had for the past six months. He invited you to see your old high school crowd the first few times, and then it slowly became more one-on-ones. Unfortunately for you, your ever-growing crush on Eddie had come back and was stronger than ever.
You hated yourself for falling for him again, but you couldn't help yourself. He was just so charming, boisterous, funny, and not to mention the most attractive man you've seen. Eddie was a natural flirt; he always was throwing compliments your way. He always knew how to make you blush.
That evening during closing, Eddie offered you to come over to The Shire. a.k.a his trailer. After a long, tiring day, both of you wanted some relaxation. He suggested staying in and having a cozy evening with pizza, beers, and perhaps a little weed to escape the cold November weather.
As the night progressed, it began to snow, and a snowstorm was predicted for later in the evening.
"Do you want your usual order, Pip?" Eddie turned his head to glance at you. You were standing near the front door, taking off your hat, scarf, and jacket. As he was watching you, he got lost in your graceful movements. Suddenly, he realized he was staring at you and almost bumped into his fridge.
"Yeah," you shiver. You almost thought about putting your coat back on, but that would be silly. "Can I borrow a sweater or a blanket?" You asked sweetly.
"Of course, sweetheart." Eddie didn't miss the way your nipples perked out of your low-cut t-shirt when you wrapped your arms around yourself, trying to warm up, but it only emphasized your breasts.
"Where is Wayne tonight?" You asked.
"He has an overnight shift tonight; he probably just left not too long ago." He said as he disappeared into his bedroom to find you a clean hoodie.
"I'm sorry, I missed him; I haven't seen that guy in years." You huffed. You loved Wayne; he was like a second dad.
"Yeah, he keeps talking you up like I don't already know how amazing you are." He threw the black hoodie at your head.
"Hey!"
I just gave you my sweater and a compliment, I think you should be thanking me."
"Shut up and order the pizza before the storm, Munson." You laugh as you pull the sweater over your head.
You and Eddie settled in, splitting a six-pack of cheap beer and delicious pizza. You wanted to watch a movie after dinner, so Eddie found a few stashed away that he still had yet to return to Family Video.
"How do you feel about horror?" He wiggled his eyebrows.
"You know I don't like scary movies, Eds." You whine.
"Well, hate to break it to you, sweetcheeks, but this is all we got, so it's either this... or cable that will most likely be down within the next half hour if the weather keeps up." You glanced out the window, and if you didn't leave now, you were not making it home tonight. The storm had started a lot earlier than anticipated.
"Oh shit, it's awful out. I didn't think it would be this bad so soon! I should go... shit, I've been drinking, we both have! We can't drive!" You started freaking out.
"Pip, you can always crash here. I don't mind." He offered.
"Are you sure?" You twiddled with the drawstrings of the hoodie.
"Of course! You think I would let you go out there?"
"Well... no."
"We can share my bed". He said nonchalantly.
Was he insane?! You can share a bed... with him... you'll want to do things with him. You can't take the rejection again.
"Umm."
"Well, I would sleep on the pull-out couch by Wayne sleeps there."
"It's okay... we are both adults," You swallowed. "Hey, do you have any more beer?" You needed a drink. Desperately.
"Oh, so we are having one of those nights? Edie wiggled his brows at you, and you rolled your eyes in return.
"I need liquid courage for these movies you're going to put me through," You fibbed.
"Don't worry, Pip. I'll protect you."
Tumblr media
Two movies and many screams later, you called it. You were maxed out on the spooky stuff. Halloween was long gone, and you were supposed to be in Christmas mode.
"You can get ready for bed first. I'll follow after. Eddie offered.
You slipped into Edie's hoodie and got under the covers, realizing the sweater was long enough to be worn as a nightgown. Eddie would be none the wiser that you had forgone pants.
You called for Eddie to enter, and he got ready for bed. You tried to pretend to occupy yourself as you watched Eddie get undressed and ready for bed. He pulled his plaid pyjama pants over his boxers and forgone a shirt.
There was tension in the air, but neither of you said anything. You held your breath as Eddie turned off the bedroom light and felt the bed dip as he got in.
"Pip?" Eddie broke the silence moments later.
"Yeah?"
"Can I ask you something?'
"Sure."
"Did you ever date anyone when you went away?"
"No"
"No?"
"Well...I went on one date, and he was shorter than me..." You laughed at how ridiculous it was. You didn't even like him, but you felt bad because you agreed to give him your number when you were out dancing one night, and you'd consumed a little too much alcohol.
"How is that even possible?"
"Well, you see, Edward everyone has different heights an-"
"No, you doofus," he laughed. "how is it possible you never dated anyone? You're beautiful." He says like it’s obvious.
Eddie made you feel fluttery when he called you beautiful.
“What?”
“You’re beautiful, Pip," Eddie repeated. "You’re a total catch; how are you still single?”
“Guess I never met the right guy…”
“Oh... " It was quiet for a moment then Eddie spoke again. "I know you always said you uh- wanted to you know…. Wait for the right guy and all… so have you slept with anyone since you were gone?”
“Eddie!” you cry, covering your face with your hands. You’re so mortified by this conversation.
“I’m sorry! Can’t blame a guy for his morbid curiosity.” you could hear the smirk in his voice.
“I can’t believe you remembered that. I mentioned it once six years ago.”
“I remember every thing when it comes to you.”
You felt his fingers intertwine with yours.
“Eddie…” you whisper.
“Yea”
"Ask me again."
"Are you still a virgin?"
You let out a deep sigh before you answered. “I’ve given it a lot of thought. And I want you to be my first.” you blurt out at a mile a minute.
“Pippin-”
“Just don’t go off with another girl next week or else I’m going to have to quit” you chuckle uncomfortably.
“Are you sure? Because if we start this I’m never going to want to let you go… not ever again.” He rolled over to face you.
“I’m so sure, Eddie, you’re the only one I’ve ever wanted.” You rolled to face him.
You didn’t know where this bravery was coming from. Maybe it was the combination of alcohol and being in the dark, but something sparked inside of you that you couldn’t put out.
“Can I kiss you?”
“Please”
You both moved in tandem as your lips collided. Years, months, weeks, days, hours, and minutes that all lead you to this moment, this perfect moment. Eddie and you always belonged together.
“I missed you so much,” Eddie spoke into your mouth as he shifted to hover over you.
“I missed you too. I missed you so much.” You grabbed for him, to touch and feel him. Your hands gripped his hair at the back of his head.
“Baby,” Eddie sat up and slinked his hands under his sweatshirt up your bare middle.
Baby. Goosebumps spread across your body from his touch. His calloused fingers lightly scratched your soft skin, and his hands travelled further up until his fingertips grazed your breasts.
“Can I take this off?”
“Yes,” The temperature in the room suddenly increased, making you feel extremely hot. The hoodie you were wearing became suffocating.
“Sit up for me, baby. Arms up.” You obliged and felt nervous that you were basically naked in front of Eddie. You pull your arms out of the sweater and cover yourself immediately.
“No, baby, please, don’t hide from me.” He gently peels your arms away from your body. “Beautiful,” He whispers with eyes full of lust.
You reached out to cup his face so you could kiss him again. You needed to distract yourself from the fact that you were naked in front of someone for the first time. Your kisses felt rushed and needy like you would die without them.
"Slow down, Pip, we have all the time in the world." Eddie coxed you back down into the plush pillows of his bed. "I'm going to take good care of you. okay?"
You nod your head yes to let him know you understand. The room was dark, but the street light peaked through the blinds. You could hear your heartbeat along with the howl of the wind from the snowstorm. You looked over to the clock. It read 12:18am. Wayne won't be home until early morning, at least 6:00am, especially in a storm like this.
Eddie leaned forward to kiss you again, travelling his lips down your body with each peck. His mouth found your neck, and he sucked on it, making your hips jerk up into him. You could feel his erection against your leg, which only excited you more.
He made his way lower once satisfied with the marking he left on your skin. He nipped and licked and peppered your sensitive chest before latching his mouth around a perked nipple. How Eddie fantasized about this very moment for months. To him, your boobs were perfect. The way your soft skin felt under his tongue, it was like they were made for him.
You let out a squeak, embarrassed by the noises you held back. You didn't know if this was normal? To want to make sounds while Eddie's mouth discovered your body.
"Don't be shy, baby. You can let it go. Get loud. I want to hear you."
"Are you sure, Eddie? Is that like... normal?"
"Oh god, yes, it's like music to my ears... Would it make you feel better if I shared with you what I like?"
"Yes."
"Okay, well." He clasped your hand, intertwining your fingers as he rested his chin on your upper stomach. "I like it when the person I'm with makes noises; it lets me know I'm doing well. I like it when the person I'm with takes compliments and praises. I like it when the person I'm with calls me certain names, but we will save that for another time. And I like it when I get to be in charge... like right now."
"What kind of names?" You bite your lower lip.
"Ah ah, naughty girl. You'll find out eventually. But not tonight." Eddie promised.
"Eventually?" your heart perked up with hope.
"You think this is going to be a one-and-done? You're sadly mistaken, Pip." He shifted his weight and started back up, loving your body. Worshiping it with a thousand kisses. Lower, lower, lower until he reached the hem of your plain black panties.
“Has anyone ever touched you here?” His hand cupped your panty-covered cunt.
“No.” you shiver.
“I’m honoured to be your first” He slowly started to guide and move his hand over your clothed pussy, massaging it. Exploring what makes your body jerk and tick. You let out a gasp as his soft touch grazed over your already swollen clit.
"That's my girl." he cooed as his hand travelled up and under the hemline of your underwear.
His hand slid down your soft, manicured mound before finding your slit. He let one singular finger travel down your clit to collect the wetness that had pooled and dragged it back up to play with you some more.
"Oh my god," You yelped as the unfamiliar but wonderful feeling of Eddie's hands explored your body.
"You're so wet, sweetheart. This all for me?" He raised his hand to examine the clear, wet, slippery substance that coated his fingers. He then stuck his fingers in his mouth before his eyes rolled back into his head. He moaned at the taste of you.
You were curious if you should be turned on or grossed out by Eddie's behaviour. "You taste like heaven." He praised you, and your body ultimately decided for you. You were turned on.
"Please touch me," You barely whisper. You bravely started to take off your panties when Eddie's hands stopped you.
"That's my favourite part." His hands replaced yours, and he watched intently as he stripped you down into nothing.
You were now fully naked in front of Eddie. You were a bit nervous, but not overly concerned. You trusted Eddie because you've gotten to know each other better over the past six months.
"My god, you're beautiful," He praised once again. You don't think you will ever get tired of him saying that. Your heart soared each time without fail.
"So are you," You whispered back and swore you saw Eddie blush.
Eddie's hands found your needy pussy once more. He wiggled his way down the bed, and he played with your clit until his face was level with your cunt. You felt so exposed you wanted to close your legs right away. But you also wanted to know what it felt like to have Eddie's mouth on your most intimate area.
"Show me how you play with yourself."
This shocked you, and your body froze. How could he ask you to do such a crass thing? Eddie sure was pushing a lot of your boundaries tonight.
"Come on, sweetheart. It's okay, perfectly natural."
You didn't want to disappoint him, so with a trembling hand, you started to circle your clit like always. The feeling started as a mild ache in your lower stomach, but it began to rise as you continued. Your worries and apprehensions slowly drifted away as the feeling of pleasure wafted through your body.
"You never push your fingers inside?" Eddie was mesmerized by the sight in front of him.
You shake your head no. "Doesn't feel right." You were too afraid to finger yourself in the past, not wanting to push the limits; you knew how to please yourself from clit stimulation alone.
"I'm about to change that." Eddie replaced your hand with his mouth, and you cried out in pleasure. This new feeling of something hot and wet consuming your pussy made your eyes involuntarily roll back into your head.
"Yes, good girl, let me hear you." He latched his mouth back onto your clit. His tongue circled and flicked your swollen bud until you were on the edge. You were so close, then his finger slowly entered you, and that took on a whole new feeling. His fingers were longer and wider than your own. He stretched and reached further than you have ever experienced.
"Holy shit!" You cried as his fingers pushed deep inside you. Eddie was careful to go slowly. His middle finger pumped in and out of you before he added another. As his finger worked inside of you, you felt a wave of pleasure from a spot you hadn't ever felt before. It made you cry out embarrassingly loud.
"Ohhhh, good job babygirl." He chuckled smugly. Eddie knew that he had found your one spot that would make you see stars. So, he continuously grazed over it again and again.
You didn't know what was happening to you; your body was undulating under Eddie's touch. He struggled to keep your hips pinned down as he continued to devour your pussy. You couldn't think; you couldn't form words. Your brain had gone into a cloudy haze that focused only on your body and how Eddie was making you feel.
No wonder everyone raved about sex.
"Eddie, Eddie, Eddie" You didn't even know you were talking.
“That’s it, baby, say my name.”
"Eddie!" Your body clenched, and every muscle in your contract as your orgasm ripped through you. Waves of pleasure pulsed as Eddie's mouth and fingers continued to massage your pussy.
"Mmmm, that's my girl. You did so good for me." Eddie praised, and your stomach did another flip-flop at his words.
"You think you want to keep going? Or do you want to stop? You don't need to worry about me. This is all about you, Pip. Okay?"
"I want to keep going." Your voice sounded breathy, like it wasn't coming from you.
"You're sure?"
"Yes, Eddie, I want you to fuck me. Please," you squirmed.
"God, I love hearing those words from your mouth." Eddie bent down to kiss you once again.
.As he kissed you, his mouth had a tangy and slightly salty taste. He explored your mouth with his tongue, just as he had moments before with your lower lips.
"I'm going to go get a condom, okay?" He whispered again to you.
"Okay," you bit your lip with anticipation.
You watched as Eddie shuffled on his knees off the bed to his nightstand and grabbed a blue cardboard box out of his stuffed drawer. He pulled out the foil packet and pulled down his pants and boxers. Your eyes bludged at the sight of Eddie's cock. Sure, you knew what a penis looked like. However, this was your first time seeing one in real life.
"No need to be scared, Pip." Eddie gave a reassuring smile.
"Okay, Eddie," You whispered.
"You can touch me if you want?" He walked over to the bed, cock at full mast. You slowly nod your head and reach out to feel it. Obviously, it felt hard, but you were surprised by the soft skin that felt like velvet.
Eddie made a whimpering sound as your delicate fingers grazed the red tip. You jerked back your hand, afraid you'd hurt him.
"No, no, Pip," Eddie stutterd. "You're okay; it just felt really good s'all."
"Oh," you blushed. Amazed at yourself that you made him feel really good.
"Shit, okay, I'm going to put the condom on now, okay?"
"Okay," you repeated like a parrot.
"Can you lay back for me?" Eddie crawled back up on the bed and over you once more.
You popped back down, and Eddie giggled at your eagerness. He wanted to make this perfect for you, but in your mind he already had. He wanted it to be the least painful he could make it. Hopefully, your orgasm will have helped with that.
"This may hurt a little, but I'm going to go slow, and if you need me to stop or pull out, you tell me, okay?" Eddie's face had never been so serious.
You nod your head.
"No, Pip. I need your words. I need you to tell me you understand. It's important."
Oh.
"I'll let you know if I need to stop. I promise."
"Good girl."
You sucked in a breath and bit your lip at his words. Eddie took a mental note about your reaction. He would tuck it away and save it for later.
"You're already wet enough, I think. I'm going to try and put it in now okay?" Eddie kissed you tenderly and you replied.
The feeling was odd. You felt like you were being split open as your walls burned from being stretched the furthest they have ever been.
"Oh god," Your face scratched as Eddie went in deeper.
"You okay? I can stop"
"No, I can do this. Just stay there a minute." Your body needed time to adjust.
"It's okay," Eddie cooed. He peppered your cheeks with small kisses as he waited for further instructions.
"Okay, I think I'm okay." Your vagina was still tight, but it wasn't as bad as a few minutes ago.
Eddie made sure to be as gentle as possible. Even though it was killing him to not just ram into you repeatedly. Your soft, warm walls were squeezing him so good, too good.
Eventually, after what felt like an hour, Eddie finally reached the hilt. You never felt so full. The feeling was strange yet exciting.
"I'm going to move now, okay?"
He was so patient and kind; you never imagined your first time to be so guided and full of communication. You thought it would just be like boom, stick it in and start. But, no. Not with Eddie.
As Eddie started to rock his hips, the burning started to ease into pleasure. Your hips started moving and rocking with Eddie's body, and you worked together to feel pleasure. Your instincts took over as your thoughts started to numb.
"That's it, baby, fuck, you're making me feel so good." Eddie praised.
"Mmmmm," Was all you managed to get out.
Eddie took that as a sign he could go faster. Thank god he did because the moans that came from you were sinful.
"Yes, baby, be as loud as you want," Eddie commanded before latching his mouth back on the sweet spot he found earlier.
A high-pitched ""Uhhhhhnhhhh" left your mouth as you became more and more cockdrunk by the second. His thick long cock was grazing your walls, finding your g spot that he had reached earlier in the night. Making you yell out his name.
"That's it, baby girl; tell me, who owns this pussy?" Eddie gritted through his teeth, and his pulsing cock pounded into you.
"W-what?"
"Sorry, shit, sorry I got carried away." Eddie kept his rhythm as he forgot that this was your first sexual experience. He couldn't wait to teach you about all his little desires. "you're doing so good for me."
"o-okay"
Your nails lightly scratch up Eddie's back, making him shiver. You then run back down and grab onto his ass. You hugged him like a koala bear, refusing to have this feeling he was giving you to go away. You were so blissed out by it all.
"God baby, I don't think I can hold out much longer," Eddie puffed. His hips never break the rhythm he set.
"Please," you didn't know what you were begging for? You just need him.
"I got you, baby girl; you're being so good for me" Eddie felt your pussy clench down at his words of praise.
"Come on, baby; I know you can give me one more," His hand slipped between you two and found your clit once again. You were so overstimulated that with just a few mild touches, you were falling apart, beneath Eddie.
"Oh fuck, you're squeezing me so good" Eddie tried to hold off, to keep going, to keep fucking you, but he couldn't. Your pussy was so tight around his cock he emptied himself into the condom that was buried inside of you.
Your head felt like it was spinning; your body was limp and racing with those feel-good hormones.
"I'll be right back." He kissed your cheek before getting up off of you after he caught his breath, got rid of the condom and cleaned himself up before returning with a wet cloth for you. But when he returned to the bedroom, you were fast asleep.
He laid the damp cloth on the back of his desk chair and brought the covers back up over the both of you before pulling you into his chest to cuddle you until he fell asleep.

The next morning the snow had finally stopped, and the bright sunlight had peaked its way through the slits of the cheap blinds that hung in the window.
Eddie heard footsteps outside the bedroom door in his hazy, half-asleep state. He peeked in an eye to see you sprawled out comfortably in his bed. He lifted covers to see your still naked body that he didn't really get to see last night due to the pitch black. He could see the marks he had made more clearly as they had gotten darker within the night.
He couldn't help himself. Here you were naked, sleeping with him in his bed; he just had to touch you. He kissed up the side of your exposed neck, marking the other side that had been left untouched. You moaned and squirmed, then giggled when Eddie's hair tickled you.
The reality of where you were hit the second you awoke.
"Oh, Eddie," You softly moaned.
"Good morning, baby," Eddie rolled on top of you, his morning wood more hormonal than ever.
" 'Morning," you smiled, tucking a piece of hair behind his ear before Eddie nuzzled his head behind the small of your neck.
"So I was hopin' that you'd want to go out with me, officially... or whatever?" He cleared his throat. His morning voice was so sexy.
"Or whatever?" you smiled back up at him.
"Or wha-"
"Hey, Ed's, I'm finally back-Holy hell!-" Suddenly, Uncle Wayne was walking into the bedroom, and you were screaming, trying to cover yourself, and Eddie was trying to cover as much of you as he could.
Wayne was mortified as he shut the door behind him as quickly as possible.
"Put a sock on the door next time you have company, Kid!" Wayne shouted, flustered as ever.
Eddie barked out a laugh, and you couldn't be more embarrassed.
"Oh my god, I can't go out there? Do you think I can fit through the window?" You asked Eddie before covering your face with your hands.
"Come on, Pip. I'm sure he didn't see anything; probably only saw my pasty ass." He got up and pulled you along with him.
He found your folded clothes on the chair where you had left them, but when you went to put on your underwear, they were nowhere to be found.
You got dressed without them, and Eddie pulled you out of his room hand in hand to Face Wayne.
"So I guess it was your car all covered in snow." Wayne shifted uncomfortably in his chair as he sat at the kitchen table with a cup of black coffee. "There uh- coffee for the both of ya's if you want." He offered.
"Thanks." You tugged at your sleeve, not knowing what to do. Should you leave? Should you stay? Can you leave? The show was up to your knees.
"Better make yourself comfortable; the plows will take a while to get to this side of town." Wayne made the decision for you. Eddie guided you to the kitchen table and pulled out a seat for you.
"Wayne, you remember Pippin, don't you?" Eddie smiled brightly as he got you two mugs.
"Of course I do." He smiled genuinely this time. The awkwardness was lifting.
Eddie didn't need to ask how you took your coffee. He remembered two creams and two sugar. He once said it was too sweet, just like you.
"Thanks," you smile up at him as he places your coffee before you.
"I was wondering when the two of you would finally get together... Ever since high school, I've been bugging this one," He motions to Eddie, " To get his head out of his ass and to lock you down already."
"Took him long enough, you giggle"
"Now I know you two are adults, but I don't need no little munson babies running around here just yet, so you better be safe-"
"Okay, okay, Old man, we get it. We have already had this uncomfortable talk once when I was fifteen. I don't need it again."
"Fifteen?!" your eyes blog you're off your head.
"What can I say? The ladies love them some, Eddie." he smiled cockily.
You lightly pinch Eddie's arm, so he shuts up.
"Hey!" Eddie rubbed his bicep.
I knew I always liked you." Wayne tipped up his mug to you with a smile. "keep him in line."

Wifey’s reaction to the pro bowl content? 👀👀
This is a little sneak peak into her and Taylor Rooks Podcast The Woman Cave
You and Taylor were sitting across from one another filming yet another episode for the podcast you both share when the conversation started going into the direction of the pro bowl and she quickly asked you about your husband.
“I see your other half actually went to the pro bowl this year? And participated!?” Taylor said as if she was surprised.
Because she low key knew how he was.
“Yes, he actually went but it did take a lot of convincing. He changed his mind about fifty times. After the season ends, that man stays up under me. Not that I mind, but I'm convinced if he could find a way to actually attach himself to me or crawl into my skin, he would.” You told her as you laughed when you thought about how Joe barely let you do anything by yourself when you both were home.
“And apparently doesn't like mascots?”
With this came the most intense eye roll followed by you shaking your head.
“He is literally such a diva and so dramatic. And he is definitely going to get me for saying that, but Wifey Shiesty said what she said. When I heard his mic’d up clip saying that he tells the Bengals mascot to get away from him, I lost it.”
“That actually doesn't surprise me. But it seemed like he didn't get a lot of time for his portion in the skills part on Thursday.”
“That's why I should have done the trivia because I knew every single answer and he would have won. No shade to Jared obviously. But Ja'Marr always would laugh at me and say that I know his playbook better than he did as well as players stats across every team in the NFL and I still do.”
“Which a lot of people tend to be surprised by.”
“I think that people don't realize that more women actually watch football than men do and we actually know what we're talking about. Some of them are intimidated because we end up knowing more than they do.” You told her and she quickly nodded as she agreed with you.
“Did his answer change once he knew your twin was going?”
You couldn't help but to roll your eyes and smirk.
“Of course it did. Those two together usually send my stress levels through the roof. But they look out for one another and have done that since they were both at LSU and I know it's going to always be that way. I'm definitely grateful for that.”
As soon as the last word left your mouth, you let out a yelp from being startled by Joe's arms wrapping around you, picking you up and him sitting down where you were while placing you onto his lap. His hands protectively went over your baby bump and leaned over to kiss your cheek.
“Hello to you too, husband. Aren't you supposed to be with my twin and Justin!? See what I mean Tay?” You said as Taylor was laughing at the two of you.
“I heard you were talking about me so I figured that I should come pay a visit.” Joe told the both of you as Taylor smiled at him.
“Well, while I have you here….” She started to say as Joe nodded.
“You're my favorite interviewer besides this one right here so go for it.”
“How would you describe your feelings about this season overall?”
“Hmm, speaking from an individual standpoint, I'm happy with the numbers that I put up this year coming back from an injury. Overall, it's disappointing that we didn't make the playoffs but just have to do certain things to keep certain people and I know the front office will make that happen so we can all continue to play together.”
“Yes, put the pressure on them. Now, I remember when you signed your record breaking contract. Are you willing to negotiate in order to keep certain people in Cincinnati?”
“Absolutely without a doubt. Might have to pick up a part time job to make up the difference because my wife is expensive though. You two hiring?”
“Just for THAT comment, absolutely NOT. Your resume is going in the trash. And it's called The Woman Cave, not The Woman Cave plus Joe Burrow.” You told him as you pouted and crossed your arms across your chest.
“And you call me the dramatic one?” Joe asked and you tried to scoot away from him, but failed miserably.
“Ever since I met the two of you, I knew that you were made for each other. Now let me ask you this, NFL Honors?”
“I know I'm not winning MVP…”
“But he's definitely MVP in my eyes.”
Joe had a small smile on his face before continuing.
“But I'll still go and show my face. Always love going down there. It's like a family reunion with my LSU family and with my wife's family.”
“And who are you predicting will win the big game on Sunday?”
“I hope they both lose. But if I HAD to pick, definitely going with Jalen.”
“NOT you saying you hope they both lose. Babe, it doesn't work like that.” You told him as he shrugged.
“I'm using one of your lines, I said what I said.”
“You've definitely been around me too long.”

hiiiii, if it isn't too much to ask, is it possible to request a little continuation of the jake x reader (the one where reader is 🤰) who ended up winning the bet and how jake's is while reader is pregnant, thankk you very much❤️
a continuation of ⤷ ACCIDENTAL PREGNANCY 😧
ACCIDENTAL PREGNANCY 😄 ¦ jake kim
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: wasn't planning on continuing this, so it's shorter 😭 i now feel like i'm pregnant. hope you like this one too!
Tumblr media
★ okay so...jake wasn't planning to be a father, but i think he's the type to just slowly fall in love with the baby. not that he wasn't before, but the idea was still foreign to him! it starts when he feels the child kicking for the first time. jake's hands would be on your stomach and then he suddenly just gets it.
★ he starts becoming really enthusiastic about parenthood, probably even more than you. a sharp contrast to what he was like when you broke the news!
"...i heard you shouldn't do that. i've been reading up on it and it's bad for the baby" "did you read that up 5 minutes ago?" "...yes"
★ jake kisses your stomach and talks to the child every night. it's part of his routine now (^_-)
★ big deal HIGHKEY acts like you're disabled 😭 before you sit on any chair, someone rushes over with a pillow to place on it. before you open any door, someone runs to open it for you. you should tell them to stop, but it's really funny.
★ yes, yes...jake balancing big deal while being a dad is inevitable. but everyone there knows that family life >>> gang life. jerry INSISTS to jake that he can take over, that jake should stay with you, at least until the baby is born. honestly, just marry jerry atp...
★ so now you're subjected to more stomach kisses 😒 yay...
★ jake may not be a perfect dad, he'll mess up, he'll be busy, you'll argue with him about it. but i firmly believe he'd shower his baby with so much love. he'll never ever let his child go through what he did.
bonus continuation! - who won the bet?
"so uh..." you start. "we were gonna announce this to all of big deal, but i didn't know you guys had a little thing going...so i figured i'd tell you first"
jason, lineman, lua and jerry stand in a horizontal line like they're about to be executed. they're all stiff, each one trying to act casual while also looking like they're dying to hear the result.
jake rubs your shoulder, his expression protective. "hey" he says gently. "don’t feel pressured" he shoots the four an unimpressed look. "you don’t have to tell anything to these guys"
the group flinches at his icy stare, as if jake just whipped them.
you roll your eyes with a small laugh. "it's alright. i don't mind"
placing a hand on your stomach, you gently rub it and smile. "we’re having a girl—"
SMACK!
before you can even finish, lua and jerry high five so aggressively that the sound echoes through the room.
"HELL YEAH!" lua whoops in victory.
jake immediately snaps his head towards jerry, glaring at him. "jerry!" he hisses.
jerry, who had completely forgotten himself in the moment, turns bright red. a giant thumb turned into a giant...sausage? "ahem. i mean...congratulations you both" he nods, trying to act composed.
meanwhile, jason and lineman had gone pale.
"no…" lineman mutters, staring at the floor like his world is crumbling. "our money..."
jerry whispers quietly so that jake can't hear. "it's our money now"
jason drags a hand down his face. "i thought for sure it was a boy..."
lua, still grinning like she's won the lottery, smacks lineman on the back. "you shoulda listened to me! i told you it was a girl!"
you blink in disbelief at the chaos unfolding in front of you. "anyway…we’re really excited"
jake turns to you and whatever irritation he has melts away as he laces his fingers with yours. "yeah" he murmurs, his voice warm. "really excited"
jason and lineman, however, are not over their loss.
jason mumbles something under his breath, and lineman sighs dramatically, shaking his head.
the room settles.
not for long though, of course.
"sooo…" lineman begins, his tone innocent. "does anyone have thoughts on what her first word might be?"
jake’s eyes narrow immediately.
jason perks up. jerry and lua exchange a knowing look.
"like i dunno..." lineman continues, stroking his chin. "just hypothetically, if someone were to put money on 'jake' or let's say, 'big deal' —"
lineman trails off as he comes face to face with jake's palm.
SMACK!

Pt2 of the badly kept secrets of Eddie's heart monitor
After the first two weeks, Steve seems to have suddenly decided to stop visiting Eddie. No explanation, no goodbye: one day he's there, and then he... Isn't. It takes a few days, sometimes, Steve has a life of his own after all, but a whole week goes by with nothing. And another one. Eddie only knows he's alive – and in town – because the others told him when he asked. Maybe Steve's gotten tired of being surrounded by all that hospital sterility. Or maybe he's gotten tired of being around Eddie. Or maybe... Eddie groans and takes up a stare-down with the fucking heart monitor that's still attached to him at all times, his biggest enemy.
Unfortunately, he has way too much time on his hands, alone in this room and unable to do anything but lie in bed and stare at the ceiling. It makes it far too easy to let his thoughts spiral. Maybe – no, probably, certainly, undoubtedly – that goddamn heart monitor was the ideal help for Steve to decipher Eddie's biggest secret without any difficulties.
Yes, that must be the reason why Steve is staying away. Sure, the guy could tolerate being around “the freak” for a few hours a week out of pity, but of course he wouldn't want anything to do with him anymore upon finding out exactly what kind of freaky thoughts he really has about Steve. Steve was polite enough to pretend like he didn't notice the heart monitor speeding up every single time he got in Eddie's proximity, but of course, of course he noticed. He noticed and now he hates Eddie.
And honestly? He has every right to hate Eddie, with the way Eddie has been exploiting every opportunity to get Steve to touch him. Even though he'd regret it right away whenever the heart monitor couldn't shut the fuck up, Eddie never learned from his mistakes. He was even stupid enough to find meaning in the way Steve's touch would linger after helping him lie down or sit up, stupid enough to find tenderness in the way Steve held his arms when helping him out of his bed and to the bathroom. Obviously, Steve never wanted any of that. Obviously, that only made Steve uncomfortable, but the poor guy was too polite to lash out to the dude chained to a hospital bed healing from having all his organs chewed inside out.
Eddie sighs and closes his eyes; not because he wants to sleep, but because the staring contest with the heart monitor isn't really getting him anywhere. Maybe it's for the best that Steve is staying away. That way, Eddie might be able to get over him more easily. He doesn't deserve Steve's friendship anyway.
***
“I wanna visit Eddie today.”
“Alright, have fun,” Steve answers. “Tell him I said hi.”
Robin sighs dramatically. “No, dingus, you're coming with me. I need a ride.”
“No!” It comes out of his mouth a little too quick, a little too loud, and Robin raises her eyebrows at him.
“No, I can't,” he explains in a calmer voice.
Robin raises her eyebrows even further, making them disappear beneath her bangs altogether. “You literally just told me you don't have plans after work.”
“Yeah, but...” He lets his voice fade out and settles on muttering something incomprehensible.
“I did not understand one single word of what you were saying,” Robin points out. She sounds annoyed, but there's a vaguely amused smile playing around her lips, betraying how she really feels about the whole thing. “Seriously, what's up with you and Eddie? Did you have a fight or something?”
“No...”
“Until two weeks ago, you were at the hospital basically every spare minute of your time. You even canceled two dates just so you could spend more time with Eddie! And now, all of a sudden, you'd rather spend your evening on your own at home watching TV than visit your friend?”
“He's not my friend,” Steve protests.
She gives him a punch against his shoulder.
“Okay, I'm pretty sure he hates me, Rob.” Steve finally caves in. “He gets, like, very uncomfortable whenever I'm around. And I don't wanna add to his discomfort any more than necessary, so it's better I stay away from him.”
“Well, I don't know what on earth gave you that idea, but that is by far the biggest load of bullcrap I heard all week,” Robin says matter-of-factly. “He's asked about you every single time I visited him. He'll be happy to see you, dingus, you're coming with me today. No excuses.”
***
Like clockwork, the steady beeping of the heart monitor falters as soon as Eddie locks eyes with Steve. To make things even worse, what little color that is on Eddie's cheeks leaves his face immediately.
Despite the paleness of Eddie's face, Steve can't help but notice how good he looks in comparison to when he last saw him two weeks ago. He's sitting straight up, leaning against a pillow, and the look in his eyes is far from drowsy.
“S-Steve,” Eddie stutters out. “Hi.” He clears his throat. “And – and Robin, of course, hi! Good to see ya, Buck.” He stretches out his arms to embrace her, and Steve awkwardly comes up behind her. It feels weird not to follow Robin's example and give him a hug, but when he bows over the bed and wraps his arms around Eddie, the beeping immediately picks up speed again. To make things even worse, Eddie quite literally recoils from his touch, leaning away as far as possible and letting his arms hover in the air around Steve more than actually hugging him back.
When Steve looks at Robin, he notices that her eyes have grown about twice their normal size while they flash back and forth between Eddie, the machines around his bed, and Steve.
He locks eyes with her and tries to silently convey a See, I told you so about Eddie resenting him. She answers with a barely visible nod and relief fills Steve's chest. He's lucky to have Robin right by his side, his best friend, the one person he can always count on understanding him. She'll get them out of here in no time and leave Eddie in peace and –
“Oh shoot, sorry, I forgot I need to get a, um, a thing from the car,” Robin says. “I'll be right back.”
As she stumbles out of the room, Steve wants to scream at her that that was very much the opposite of what he wanted her to do, but she disappears before he can do anything about it, only leaving an awkward silence in her wake. So Steve has no choice but to turn back to Eddie and take his familiar place in the chair beside his bed.
“I kinda didn't expect to see you anymore.” Eddie is the one to break the silence. He sounds more distant than the last time Steve saw him. It must be worse than Steve thought: Eddie had been happy to be rid of him and now here he is again, after a meager two weeks of peace.
“Sorry,” Steve mumbles. “She insisted I come with her.”
“So you didn't wanna come?”
Steve chuckles darkly at the irony in that question, not really knowing how to answer that.
“Alright, I'm just gonna say it,” says Eddie when it becomes clear that Steve doesn't quite know what to say. “You figured out what I – how I felt about you, didn't you? Cause of the heart thing.”
Steve looks away, stares intently at the ugly dark blue linoleum carpet under his feet.
“Yeah,” he quietly confesses. There's no use denying it now, he figures.
Eddie heaves out a long sigh.
“For what it's worth: I'm really sorry, Steve, I didn't mean to make you-”
“It's fine,” Steve quickly interrupts him. He doesn't think he could bear Eddie's pity right now. “Don't worry about it. I just wanted to give you some space, y'know, get outta your hair for a bit. I didn't want to make this any more painful for you than it has to be.”
“Really?”
The heart monitor stutters again and Eddie's voice sounds weirdly strained. Steve can't help but look up. He's met with big brown eyes that are looking at him like Eddie actually cares about him. For a moment, Steve imagines to see tears, but then Eddie blinks and the illusion is gone.
“I um... I appreciate that, man,” Eddie says.
Another awkward silence dawns over the room.
“Wait,” Eddie says after a few seconds. “So you're not angry?”
“No!” Steve immediately replies – and it's true. He understands why Eddie doesn't like being around him, that too much has happened in the past for them to just move on and hold hands or some shit.
“It's not your fault,” he tells Eddie. He looks away again, back to the floor in front of his sneakers. “If it's anyone's fault, it's mine, right?”
Eddie huffs out a sound of disbelief. “Why, cause you're just too damn sexy, Harrington?”
Steve frowns. “Well, no, cause I was an asshole and I was mean to your friends during all of high school and it's stupid of me to expect you to just get over that shit and-”
“What the fuck does that have to do with anything?”
There's that stutter in the heart monitor again. It makes Steve wonder if he's putting Eddie's health at risk by simply existing next to him. Maybe it would be better to leave Eddie alone and wait in the car until Robin is done with her visit. What the hell is taking her so long anyway?
He keeps his eyes stubbornly focused on the blue floor. “Isn't that why you got so uncomfortable having me around?” he points out. “Look, I get it, man. I was an asshole, it's true. And it was selfish of me to keep showing up here only because you were too polite to say to my face what you thought about me. I was only thinking about myself and about how much I liked being here with you, it wasn't fair.”
All of a sudden, the soft touch of a hand lands on his shoulder. He hates how that makes his own heart speed up. If he were the one attached to a heart monitor, Eddie would've seen right through him in an instant, that's for sure.
He looks up and meets Eddie's wide-eyed, somewhat shocked face.
“You - you thought you were making me uncomfortable?” Eddie asks him, sounding like he's completely gobsmacked.
Steve frowns. “Isn't that what we've been talking about for the past five minutes?”
“Steve,” Eddie says. “I am so sorry. I didn't – I never – Look. Listen.” He removes his hand from Steve's shoulder and roughly wipes it over his face. His heart monitor accelerates even further. “Please don't hate me for what I'm about to tell you, okay?” He doesn't wait for a reaction, only uses his pause to take a deep breath, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment before opening them again and looking right into Steve's.
“I'm gay, Steve. And that evil computer over there-” He points towards the heart monitor, “-keeps betraying my big, fat, gay crush on you. Every time you walk in here, or read my book to me, or do so much as smile at me, I just – God, I'm such a goner for you and there was no hiding it because of that stupid fucking thing.”
This time, Steve is quite sure he is not at all imagining the tears in Eddie's eyes.
“I thought that's why you stopped visiting. Cause you figured out how gay I am – about you – and you didn't want anything to do with that. With me. Being gay. For you.”
Eddie swallows. He lifts a hand and pulls a strand of hair over his face in a poor attempt to hide the truly terrified expression that's all over his features.
“Jesus, Eddie,” Steve breathes out. He can't even begin to comprehend how spectacularly wrong he has been about everything. It's almost like he's in shock. Only a minute ago, he thought Eddie despised him. And now, he has to process the revelation that the guy in fact has had a crush on him – a “big, fat, gay crush” – all along. That the reason his heart was behaving so weirdly was because Steve's proximity made him lovesick. That he recoiled from Steve's touches out of fear that the monitor would give him away and make Steve realize he was gay and in love with him.
“Please say something?” It sounds like a question, small and so afraid of what is about to come.
“Eddie, I – Jesus. This is... A lot. To process,” Steve manages to choke out.
“I know,” Eddie says. “I'm sorry I made you think I hated you. But... Please don't hate me. I really missed you visiting. We can be friends, right? You won't even have to touch me ever again, we can just hang out like bros, and I'll try to get my feelings for you under control, and you can-”
Steve finally gains control over his body again: he leaps forward and presses his lips against Eddie's with slightly more force than he had meant to do.
A surprised yelp escapes from Eddie's mouth, and the beeping of the heart monitor goes even crazier. It makes Steve's own heart do a goddamn cartwheel, that audible proof of what he is making Eddie feel.
He completely understands why the heart monitor is going batshit crazy right now; everything about this is fucking amazing. One of his hands finds its way to Eddie's surprisingly soft hair, and he revels in the feeling of touching Eddie again and in the taste of Eddie's lips against his own, and maybe he should just climb into Eddie's bed to–
“Thank God for that.”
They quickly jump apart to find Robin standing in the doorway, an annoyingly smug grin on her face.
“You two could really not be more stupid if you tried, huh?”
Steve squints at her while his hand blindly finds Eddie's on top of the sheets and curls itself around it. He feels his cheeks heat up, but he doesn't care. Nothing matters anymore, except for Eddie's hand warmly resting in his own.
“Did you even need anything from the car at all?” he asks Robin, raising an eyebrow at her.
“No, of course not,” Robin scoffs. “Just needed you idiots to finally get your shit together. I don't think I've ever met anyone more dense than the two of you, seriously! There were at least three moments when I almost barged in here to just smash your faces tog-”
“You were eavesdropping on us?!”
“Obviously.”
Steve opens his mouth, indignant and ready to tell her exactly how mean and evil she is, but she merely raises a hand and the look in her eyes is terrifying enough to shut him up before he has even started speaking.
“Hey, listen,” she says. Something in her face softens. “I'm really happy for you guys. Seriously, no matter how stupid you are, you two deserve every bit of happiness in the world.” She takes a step backwards towards the door. “I'll go wait in the car, dingus. Go kiss each other some more.”
And before Steve or Eddie can say anything, she winks and closes the door behind her.

You didn't mean to make such a dramatic exit when you ran out of the practice room to the toilets, but a girl's gotta go, especially when she's on her period. You didn't want to risk bleeding through your grey joggers that you wore.
Just as you exited the toilets, you had a worried Felix waiting for you.
"Y/Nnie, are you ok? Are you sick?" he frowned, a crease between his brows as he hoped you were not feeling under the weather.
"I'm fine, I'm fine, it's just, you know girl things," you tried to hint, yet he didn't seem to get it straight away, which surprised you, considering he had two sisters.
"Girl things?" he wondered out loud.
"Gosh do I have to spell it out? I've just got some cramps at the moment, I'm on my period," you sighed and rolled your eyes at him, jokingly of course.
"Ohhhhhh..."
"Yeah, now come on, let's get back to practice," you started walking, not turning around to see if he followed or not.
"You sure you're up for it? You can take a break if you need!" Felix wrapped an arm around your shoulder as you walked back into the practice room.
"Felix, I love you, but, I'll be fine haha, I've done this plenty of times before. If I really need to, then of course, I'll take a break, ok?" you couldn't help but smile at his caring attitude towards you.
"Oh, is it that time?" Chan asked as soon as you walked in, overhearing part of your conversation.
"Haha, yes, what gave it away?" you laughed in disbelief at how he could have possibly known.
"The emergency crisps in your bag kinda said it all," Chan lightly chuckled.
Oh.
Makes sense.
"Y/N, do you need painkillers? A hot water bottle?!" Han came up to you, treating you like you were a fragile doll.
"I've taken some painkillers already, it's fine, let's just continue with practice, yeah?" you patted his head to calm him down. What was it with these boys?
"Are you sure you can manage?" Hyunjin warily asked.
"I'm sure. You guys don't need to baby me, let's just continue," you laughed as you shook your head, getting back into position. You didn't miss their obvious glances at you, and whilst a part of you felt warm, another part was wondering how bad they truly thought periods were.
It didn't take long for your queries to be answered. In a special episode of SKZ Code, the boys were all simultaneously being hooked up to period pain simulator machines, which you were keen to see their reactions to.
"I bet I won't even flinch," Changbin smirked as he folded his arms.
"Surely it can't be that bad?" Jeongin thought out loud.
"If you don't think it's that bad, why do you always baby me when I'm on my period, hmmm?" you raised a brow at them. It made quite the moment for the episode, stays thinking you looked very cool in this moment with your blunt attitude.
"Well, you know, it's because..." Seungmin trailed off.
"We see how emotional you can get sometimes but you're an emotional person anyways," Lee Know shrugged.
"Then I bet Chan will be crying by the end of this," you teased your sensitive leader.
"Hey! I have a sister, I know that this will be painful, trust me," Chan held up his hands.
"I think I'll be fine," Han nodded confidently.
"Interesting..." you simply commented back, before the staff pressed the on buttons on the patches that were placed upon their abdomens and you could see the discomfort on their faces straight away.
"This isn't too bad..." Hyunjin's nose scrunched slightly.
"Oh, they're just going easy on you," you said smugly, before the intensity was raised and they started groaning, some of them (Felix, Changbin, Jeongin) started curling into themselves from the pain.
"I don't think I can go on like this," Han dramatically whined as he thrashed about suddenly and whacked Lee Know in the face.
"Yah! Just because you have a low pain tolerance!" Lee Know mumbled grumpily through gritted teeth.
"This feels a bit sadistic, Y/Nnie," Seungmin winced as he watched you smirk.
"Well this is right up your street then," you laughed at him.
"I don't know how girls do this," Changbin whimpered from the ground. Even with his jutdwae he couldn't contain or control his emotions.
"Isn't that enough yet?" Chan looked pleadingly towards the staff who finally turned off the machines, causing all members to relax and sigh in relief.
"Not as easy as you think, is it?" you sat comfortably, one leg crossed over the other.
"I'm so glad I don't have to go through that, let alone do it every month," Jeongin said as his body went lax across a sofa.
"Think how I felt, mine started when I was 12," you revealed, something you would never have needed to but you thought it would be interesting to see their reactions to it considering the situation you were in right now.
"12?! When I was 12 I had barely began auditioning for JYP..." Chan gasped.
"And now look at you, you're an old man," Seungmin casually commented after, leaving all of you in hysterics.
It was a perfect ending to an unexpected segment of a SKZ Code episode, and stays loved it.

"I Didn't Know You Could Read."
Pairing: Vance Hopper x fem!reader
Summary: It seems Vance Hopper is smarter than he looks.
Warning: swearing
A/N: she's backkkkk (and bearing a tiny fic)
Word Count: 0.8k
Tumblr media
The bell had just rung to signify the end of your maths class, however, you had been asked at the beginning of the class to stay behind and talk to your teacher.
You stood up from your seat and walked towards your teacher, Mr Kelly. You cleared your throat and stood in front of his desk.
"So, Y/N I expect you know what this is about." he spoke dryly, looking up at you while pushing his glasses up his nose.
You groan softly and nod. You knew this was about your grades as it was safe to say maths was not your strong point.
The older man continued, "as we both know... you have failed every test we have took this semester, which only means you will have to be tutored."
"Yes, I understand." You answer meekly, embarrassed by being called out on your mathematical ability.
He picked up on your tone and tutted, "there is no need to feel down about this as there are many tutors out there. Now of course if you don't feel like spending any money on a tutor I can contact our top student in the maths department to help you."
You nodded, "I'd prefer that," you chuckled, "I'd rather not have my dad find out I'm failing."
He pursed his lips, "okay, sounds good, I'll have you meet them in the library after school."
You smile awkwardly at him and then walk out of the class, at least you wouldn't have to study with anyone you knew very well, it would probably be one of those self-centred nerds.
Oh how wrong you were.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
You walked into the library with all of your maths equipment and sat down at an empty table waiting for your tutor to arrive.
Your pen battered against the desk as you sat there impatiently. "God, can you stop that?" You looked up and gasped lightly. It was Vance Hopper.
"Don't tell me you're my tutor." You groaned, dramatically throwing your head onto the table.
He huffed and sat down across from you, "quit complaining, I'm giving up my good time to help you."
You looked up at him, "I thought Mr Kelly was getting the top student in the maths department to help me."
"You're looking at him."
You couldn't help but laugh, "you? seriously?"
"Yeah me! How is that such a surprise?" He spoke sternly, crossing his arms over himself.
"I didn't know you could read! Nevermind be some maths genius!" You laughed harder.
He looked at you straight-faced, "do you want help, or do you want to continue to be a failure."
You rolled your eyes, "well that was rude."
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
It's been about 2 months now since your first tutor session with Vance, and surprisingly that boy was a genius. After all the sessions you and him had started to grow a friendship.
"So Vance, my test is tomorrow!" You smiled, leaning your head onto your hands.
"Which means if you pass I can get my Thursday nights back," he tilted his head as he spoke.
"Am I really that bad to tutor?" You chuckled lightly.
He smiled at you, "to tutor yes... but you're quite nice to talk to."
His words made you flush lightly, "aw that's sweet!"
"Yeah, yeah don't get used to it." He laughed and leaned back in his seat.
You and Vance sat and studied for about an hour and a half, sharing a few laughs here and there as you worked. It was nice. If you told yourself 2 months ago that you would be enjoying Vance Hopper's presence you would tell yourself to fuck off.
As you were packing up your things Vance turned to you, "come and find me tomorrow and tell me what your results are," he smiled sweetly.
"Will do Vance."
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
You had gotten 87%. That is the first time you have passed a test in maths ever since you were 12 years old. You had to find Vance.
You left the class immediately after the bell rang, as soon as you left you scoured the hallways for your curly-headed friend. You speed-walked up and down the corridors, then you spotted him.
He was standing with his group of friends when you found him, you approached him cautiously, you weren't exactly acquainted with his friends.
"Vance..." you meekly spoke, causing him to immediately turn around and smile while his friends looked at you confused.
"How did you do?" He asked, looking down at you.
You grinned up at him, "I got a 87!"
His smile grew wider, "actually?" You nodded excitedly, "I'm so proud of you Y/N!"
"and you now have free Thursday nights again!" You laughed.
His smile faltered as he gazed at you, "well about that, I thought we could maybe do something tonight."
"Are you asking me on a date Vance?" You chuckled.
He made a face before speaking, "...maybe?"
"Pick me up at 6," you grinned and placed a kiss on his cheek before walking away up the hallway.

27 . 7-eleven (written)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you and julie were sitting on the back of ricky's car, legs dangling as ricky stood nearby, casually bouncing a volleyball against the pavement. the three of you were lost in conversation when the sudden sound of a car pulling up caught your attention, making all of you look up.
"that's megan's car, right?" ricky turned to you, his brow slightly raised.
"i fucking hope so," you muttered, squinting at the vehicle.
"you don't know what her car looks like?" ricky asked.
"we always just meet up places. she's never picked me up before," you admitted with a shrug.
the car finally rolled up next to you, and megan hopped out.
"thank god that's you," julie sighed in relief as you both slid off ricky's car.
"i did not know what lot 16 was. i went around like three times before i found it," megan groaned, running a hand through her hair.
"i could've just sent you my location," you pointed out.
"i didn't even think about that," megan admitted with a sheepish grin.
she turned to ricky. "do you have jumper cables?"
"yeah, let me just go get them," ricky said, walking to his trunk.
after a few minutes of hooking up the cars, ricky's finally roared back to life.
"thank you for showing up. there was like a three-hour wait when we called triple a," ricky said, exhaling in relief.
"oh yeah, of course. i wasn't really doing anything anyways," megan shrugged.
"i just wanted to go to 7-eleven," julie whined dramatically.
"7-eleven?" megan perked up.
"yeah, we were supposed to go, but then ricky's car killed itself," julie said.
"can i come too?" megan asked, eyes lighting up.
"i mean, yeah, why not," ricky shrugged.
"yipee!" megan cheered.
"we can just take my car and then come back for yours. let it rest for a while," megan suggested.
"yeah, that works," ricky nodded.
"wait, i have to pick up manon though. are y'all okay with that?" megan asked.
"yeah, we should all fit," you said.
with that, everyone piled into megan's car; julie claiming the passenger seat while you and ricky slid into the back.
as megan pulled up to a red light, megan turned to the back to look at ricky.
"who is calling you?" megan asked, glancing over at ricky.
"nobody," ricky replied, staring at his phone in confusion.
"i hear a phone ringing," megan said, her brows furrowing.
"what phone? 'cause it's not mine," ricky said, double-checking his pockets.
"oh, it's just my brakes," megan said, sounding relieved.
the car collectively let out a confused "huh?"
"what do you mean by that?" julie asked from the front seat, gripping the handle.
"oh, it's just my alarm for laundry," julie said, holding up her phone.
"thank god," ricky sighed, pressing a hand over his heart.
without warning, megan announced, "i have to flip a bitch," before making a sharp u-turn.
julie clung to the handle tighter. "i don't know why manon complains about you being a bad driver, you're fun."
"manon is about to have to get a different ride if she keeps complaining about my driving," megan said, rolling her eyes as she sped off.
"where are we even picking up manon from?" julie asked.
"she said she's at her friend's place, like five minutes from here," megan replied, switching lanes a little too aggressively.
"are you sure it's five minutes, or is this about to turn into a 'just around the corner' situation?" ricky teased.
"bro, trust me. i know where i'm going," megan said, rolling up to a stop sign, barely pausing before accelerating again.
julie shot you a look. "we might die tonight."
"at least we'll have slurpees first," you just shrugged.
a few minutes later, megan pulled up in front of a house, honking twice. the porch light flickered on, and a few people lingered near the front yard, chatting. the door swung open, and manon stepped out.
"so many motherfuckers," manon said, tugging her jacket tighter around herself as she made her way toward the car.
julie rolled down her window. "hurry up, we're going to 7-eleven, bitch. get in."
"oh, hell yes. i'm so down." manon's face lit up instantly.
she yanked the door open and slid into the backseat, making you shift over into the middle between her and ricky.
"what the fuck is dani even doing tonight?" manon asked, leaning back against the seat with a dramatic sigh.
"fuck if i know," megan replied, eyes still on the road as she switched lanes.
both of them turned to look at you.
you furrowed your brows. "why are you looking at me?"
"because that's your girlfriend," manon said matter-of-factly.
"you guys keep using this 'girlfriend' word a little too freely," you huffed.
"close enough," megan shrugged.
"i asked dani if she wanted to hang out later, but apparently, she's busy," manon continued, crossing her arms.
"well, she hasn't told me anything," you said, glancing at your phone just as the screen lit up with an incoming call. "wait—she's calling me right now."
"that bitch," manon scoffed.
"should i answer?" you asked, holding up your phone for the group to see.
"no, since she's so busy," manon said, rolling her eyes.
"you're gonna get me in trouble," you laughed, hovering your finger over the screen as the call ended. you didn't even have time to think about calling her back before daniela texted you.
Tumblr media
you stayed quiet, waiting for megan's phone to start ringing. the second it did, she picked up, putting the call on speaker.
"megan, come pick me up," daniela said without even a hello.
"i asked if you wanted to come, and you said you were busy," manon cut in before megan could respond.
"because nobody told me y/n was gonna be there!" daniela argued.
"so you wouldn't wanna hang out with us?" manon asked, feigning offense.
"i don't even know if there's room for you in my car," megan said, glancing around.
"it's fine. y/n can sit on my lap," julie offered casually.
"uh-uh. immediately nope," daniela shot back.
"how'd you even hear that?" you asked, blinking.
"if y/n's sitting on anybody's lap, it's gonna be mine," daniela declared.
"where even are you right now?" megan sighed.
"at the house. i will literally pay you to come pick me up right now." that was all it took for ricky, julie, manon, and megan to burst into laughter.
"bro is truly down bad," ricky said between chuckles.
"fine. i'll make my way over. you better be ready when we get there," megan said, already making a u-turn.
"yes! thank you!" daniela cheered before megan hung up.
"at this point, we should just get food too since there's so many of us," ricky said, stretching in his seat.
"you're onto something," manon nodded in agreement.
megan sighed, already knowing where this was going.
"megan?" julie turned to her with wide puppy eyes.
"i feel like i can't say no," megan groaned.
"no, you can. we can always just take ricky's car," julie said, feigning innocence.
"but then i'll be missing out," megan pouted.
"great! so we're all going," julie clapped her hands together in victory.
megan reached to change the song and the familiar tune of good luck, babe! by chappell roan started playing. at first, it sounded a little off, but you figured it was just some random cover—until they started singing.
"is this kidz bop?" you asked, narrowing your eyes at megan.
she just laughed, saying nothing.
"i knew something was off," julie said, shaking her head.
"i know it's your car, but for the love of god, get off aux," you groaned.
"i don't appreciate the hate on kidz bop," megan said, fake-offended.
"and i don't appreciate you forcing me to listen to kidz bop," ricky deadpanned.
"this is the norm in megan's car," manon added like it was common knowledge.
"we should've taken my car," ricky muttered.
"i don't remember it being this bad either," you sighed. "bring back the kids from my day. they could actually sing."
just as good luck, babe! ended, the next song started. at first, you relaxed when you heard tik tok by kesha—until, once again, the chorus hit, and a group of kids' voices filled the car.
you dropped your head back against the seat with a sigh. "can't even be mad because i asked for this."
"we just gotta wait it out," manon said, patting your thigh reassuringly.
"i can't even sing along because they changed the lyrics too much," you groaned, slumping back into your seat.
eventually, megan pulled up to her place—which was also daniela's place.
"y/n, go get her," megan said, turning to you.
you blinked. "i'm literally in the middle seat, and you want me to climb over everyone just to get her?"
"she'll like it if you get her," megan smirked, wiggling her eyebrows.
with a sigh, you maneuvered to climb over manon to get out, which resulted in you accidentally straddling her for a second.
"oh? maybe we don't have to get dani," manon teased, grinning up at you.
"take me out to dinner first," you shot back, playing along.
"well, we are going there in a little," manon shrugged, making both of you laugh as you finally scrambled out of the car.
you walked up to the front door and knocked, and luckily, daniela was the one who answered. a smile spread across her face the second she saw you.
"heyyy, i’ve missed you," daniela said, leaning against the doorframe.
"you saw me two days ago," you replied, raising a brow.
"and?" she shot back without hesitation.
you glanced back at the car. "i would hug you, but there’s like four people in that car watching me."
daniela followed your gaze and smirked. "understandable. i’ll get that and more later."
"bold of you to think i’ll let you get more," you teased.
"mhmm, for sure," she hummed, clearly not convinced.
"i’m serious. it takes a lot for me," you told her pointedly.
"i believe you," daniela said, but her tone still had a hint of playfulness.
you gave her a look. "really? try that again."
daniela held a hand to her heart, her voice much more sincere this time. "i believe you."
"much better." you nodded in approval before turning back toward the car. "now that we’ve got that settled, we should head back. but dani… megan made us listen to kidz bop the whole way here."
daniela snorted. "for real?"
"she’s ruined so many songs for me tonight," you sighed dramatically.
"yeah… that sounds like something megan would do," daniela laughed, following you back to the car.
the second daniela slid into the backseat, she pulled you onto her lap before you could even try to squeeze into the seat next to her.
"just so we’re all more comfortable back here," she said, resting her hands on your waist.
"sure, man. we totally believe that," manon smirked, now squished in the middle.
daniela just adjusted you slightly, making sure you were comfortable.
julie twisted in her seat to look at the two of you, an amused grin on her face.
"that was my girl first," she said, crossing her arms.
you just shrugged. "she’s not wrong."
daniela immediately adjusted her grip on you, her expression shifting into something between confusion and curiosity. "wait, really?" she asked, her eyes flicking between you and julie.
"yeah, we used to date our first year," you said casually, leaning back against her.
"and you just never told me this?" daniela asked, squinting at you like she was reevaluating everything.
"why would i?" you laughed. "it’s not like it ever came up."
julie nodded. "it was chill, we just figured we were better as friends."
daniela narrowed her eyes. "still, i feel like i should've been informed."
ricky, who had been quiet up until now, finally spoke up. "bro, are you actually jealous right now?" he asked, barely containing his laughter.
daniela scoffed. "no, i just think it’s interesting how i had to find out like this."
"that’s jealousy," manon smirked.
daniela shook her head. "it’s not jealousy—"
"denial is the first stage," megan chimed in.
"okay, all of you shut up," daniela huffed, resting her chin on your shoulder. "i’m not jealous, but just so we’re clear—" she turned her head slightly to look at julie. "she’s mine now."
julie held her hands up in surrender. "oh, trust me, i know."
seeing how daniela still looked like she was overthinking the whole thing, you leaned in and whispered, “it was a joke, by the way.”
“huh?” daniela’s face scrunched up in confusion, looking like a confused puppy.
you bit back a smile. “it was a joke between me, julie, and belle that we were all dating freshman year because we were always together.”
daniela blinked, then let out a dramatic sigh of relief. “oh, thank god.”
you raised an eyebrow. “you were really stressing over that?”
“yes,” daniela said, placing a hand over her chest. “can’t believe you would do that to me.”
“not gonna lie, it was kinda funny,” you admitted, grinning.
“i bet it was to you,” she huffed, though there was no real bite to it.
“you’ll be fine,” you reassured her, leaning more into her.
daniela sighed, arms wrapping a little tighter around you. “as long as you didn’t actually date any of your current friends…”
before you could respond, ricky piped up from his spot. “well—”
you immediately held up a finger. “shush. you get no input.”
daniela side-eyed you. “okay, now i definitely need to know. just tell me now and save me the emotional damage later.”
you let out a small laugh. “relax, i’m not dating anyone i hang out with anymore, so you don’t have to worry about that.”
daniela studied your face for a second, then nodded, visibly relaxing. “okay, cool.”
“the way she was about to start running background checks,” manon chuckled from beside the both of you.
“i was considering it,” daniela admitted.
since it was after midnight on a sunday night, there weren’t many options for food, so you all ended up at a fast food place.
you and daniela were the last ones to walk in, meaning you were at the back of the line. as you scanned the menu, daniela suddenly wrapped her arms around your waist from behind, pulling you into her.
“come here,” she murmured.
“what?” you turned to look at her.
“just finally getting my hug,” she said, resting her chin on your shoulder.
“i would say you hugged me all the way here, but whatever,” you teased, though you made no move to leave her arms.
the two of you stayed like that, comfortably wrapped up in each other while looking at the menu. surprisingly, no one turned around to tease you—either they were too focused on their own orders, or they were just letting you have your moment. you weren’t complaining.
when it was almost your turn to order, you shifted slightly away from daniela. she immediately started pouting, her hands already reaching to pull you back in, but before she could, you turned and pressed a quick kiss to her lips. that seemed to do the trick because she just smirked as you stepped up to order.
as you finished ordering, you reached for your phone to pay, but before you could, daniela suddenly pointed at something outside. “oh, look at that.”
you barely even turned your head before you heard the beep of the card scanner. you snapped back to see daniela putting her card away like she didn’t just rob you of your chance to pay.
“i was gonna do it,” you said, narrowing your eyes.
daniela shrugged, completely unbothered. “just pay for our next date.” then, before you could argue, she walked off with her receipt.
the group decided to eat outside since the weather was nice, and no one wanted to cram back into megan’s car to eat. you all sat at one of the longer tables with you and, julie, and daniela sitting on one side and megan, manon, and ricky sat on the other.
“not that i’m complaining, but i thought we were going to 7-eleven?” daniela asked as she unwrapped her food.
“yes, but we needed to eat first because we were all starving,” julie explained.
“i literally just got in the car and got dragged along,” manon shrugged.
“speaking of, i forgot to buy y/n dinner,” manon suddenly gasped.
you waved her off. “it’s fine. i’ll still consider you.”
“huh?” daniela’s head snapped up, eyes darting between you and manon. “consider her for what?”
“inside joke,” you said, stuffing a fry into your mouth.
daniela narrowed her eyes at you. “you really do stress me out.” she took a bite of her food, shaking her head.
after plenty of yapping and eating, you all finally piled back into the car, ready to make the long-awaited trip to 7-eleven.
“crazy how we just wanted to play a quick game of volleyball, and now we’re here,” ricky said, shaking his head.
“how did y’all even end up together?” manon asked, looking between you and the rest of the group.
“ricky’s car died, so we called megan to help us out,” you explained.
manon turned to ricky. “oh shit, is your car good now?”
“oh yeah, the battery was just dead. we just needed a jumpstart,” ricky said casually.
“ah, okay,” manon nodded.
finally, megan pulled into the 7-eleven parking lot, and the second she parked, you were out of that car. you and julie practically sprinted inside, making a beeline for the slushie machines.
by the time the rest of the group even made it to grab their cups, you and julie had already filled yours.
“they actually have some good flavors here,” you commented as you walked past them, heading toward the counter with julie to pay.
julie reached the register first, setting her slushie down before gesturing for you to do the same.
“my girlfriend’s paying for me,” you said in a cute voice, leaning into her.
“always for you, babygirl,” julie said smoothly, tapping her card on the reader.
you smirked. “what if it just declines?”
julie gasped, immediately playing along. “damn… babe, the bills have been too expensive this month. can you cover this one?” she handed you your drink with a sheepish smile.
“i knew you were broke,” ricky said as he walked up, overhearing the whole thing.
“motherfucker,” julie rolled her eyes at him.
“don’t talk about my girlfriend like that,” you cut in, crossing your arms.
julie nodded in agreement. “yeah, you tell him.”
“at least that one could afford you,” ricky said, pointing over at daniela, who was currently cleaning up some kind of mess at the slushie station with manon, while megan stood there laughing.
julie deadpanned. “you know what? meet me in the parking lot.”
“let’s go,” ricky shrugged, immediately heading for the door.
julie leaned in and whispered, “now we wait while he stands outside like a dumbass.”
“i heard that!” ricky called from the doorway.
the cashier raised an eyebrow at ricky. “you gonna pay for that?”
“oh, shit,” ricky muttered before rushing back to the counter.
“fucking stupid,” julie snorted, and you both laughed.
“i’m gonna fight both of y’all when i’m done paying,” ricky threatened.
“you do that, buddy,” you said, taking a sip of your slushie.
a few moments later, manon, daniela, and megan joined the three of you after paying, and you all walked out together.
“they almost got us kicked out of 7-eleven,” megan complained, pointing at manon and daniela.
“bitch, don’t blame that on me,” daniela shot back immediately.
“we cleaned up your mess,” manon exclaimed.
“no proof,” megan shrugged, sipping her drink like she wasn’t guilty.
“i literally have a video of the whole thing,” manon smirked, pulling out her phone.
“delete that,” megan said quickly.
“hell no. i need this in case you ever try to take me down,” manon retorted.
“what the fuck happened when i left?” ricky asked, looking between them.
“just them acting stupid,” daniela responded, taking a sip of her drink like it was none of her business.
you climbed back into the car, once again ending up on daniela’s lap for the third time that night. at this point, it was just routine. megan drove you all back to the school parking lot, where ricky’s car was still sitting there, waiting.
the moment megan pulled up, ricky wasted no time getting out. “thank you so much for tonight, megan,” he said, stretching as he stepped onto the pavement.
“literally, hit me up anytime,” megan replied. “i’ll even play volleyball with y’all next time.”
“of course. you can even replace ricky’s bitch ass,” julie hopped out right after him.
ricky scoffed. “remember, you have to get in my car after this.”
julie immediately stepped back. “you right. i’ll take that back for now.”
you sighed dramatically. “guess i’ll take my leave now,” you said, opening the car door.
“bye, y/n,” manon called from the backseat.
“bye-bye,” you said, turning slightly to press a quick kiss to daniela’s lips before hopping out. you just really liked teasing her at this point.
daniela groaned but still had a small smile. “i’ll text you!” she yelled as you shut the door.
you waved to them as you walked toward ricky’s car. he turned the engine, and luckily, it started up just fine. megan lingered for a second, just in case, but once it was clear the car was running smoothly, she gave a thumbs-up before driving off.
as you settled into ricky’s car, julie nudged you with her elbow. “you and daniela are actually so cute,” she said with a smirk.
“i actually really like her,” you admitted, a small smile creeping onto your face.
julie gasped dramatically. “oh my god, belle is gonna be so jealous that i got to witness all of this.”
“honestly, her fault,” ricky shrugged. “we told her to come with us.”
“exactly,” julie nodded. “she had her chance.”

Jordan Li
you didn't even give me a chance to talk to you the next morning.
i haven't been with anyone since.
can we just act like it never happened and carry on like normal?
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers, F!Reader
CW/TW: Typical Gen V warnings (none), uhhhhhh literally no warnings?, jordan being vulenrable, jordan being shit at talking about feelings pls get a therapist bby
Tumblr media
After stuffing her notebook and textbook into her backpack, (Y/N) hooked her fingers around the strap and stood up from her seat, slinging the backpack over her shoulder and following her classmates as they shuffled out of the classroom. They piled into the slowly growing crowded hallway, bumping and brushing against each other as everyone made their way to their next class before the late bell could ring. (Y/N) managed to squeeze into a less crowded hallway, releasing a soft huff of air.
"(Y/N), hey! Wait up!" She glanced back and spotted Jordan stepping out of the crowd with much less difficulty, the students parting as if Jordan were Moses. It was silly, in her opinion, how much others worshipped those in the Top Ten like they were royalty or gods walking the Earth. Half of the supes making up the list still needed help with simple subjects taught in normal human schools.
"What's up, Li?" (Y/N) arched a brow when the supe caught up with her. "Is it about the project Brink gave me? I'm almost done with it, I swear. It needs a little tweaking but I'll be turning it in tomorrow."
"No, no, it's not about that." Jordan dismissed, their fingers raking through their hair and brushing back black strands that'd slipped out of the slick-back hairstyle. (Y/N) hummed and looked forward again, checking the time on the clock ticking at the end of the hall and quickening her step. "It's, uhm.. I wanted to talk to you about last Friday? I know you were out of town over the weekend so I thought I'd catch up with you today."
Her brows furrowed. "Catch up about what exactly?" She asked, sparing them a glance before turning a sharp corner into a different hall. Her mind shuffled through the events of the past days until she got to Friday, trying to think back on what she did that day that would require a discussion with Jordan Li of all people. Sure, at the end of the day she'd hooked up with them, but that hardly needed a play-by-play chat.
"Last... Friday?" Jordan blinked at her, their own brows dipping. "You didn't even give me a chance to talk to you the next morning. I mean, I've never seen that side of you, you know? I- I always thought you were like, a nerd or something. You're always so quiet and distant."
"Riiight," (Y/N) drawled, her eyes squinting slightly at them. "You don't know me, Jordan. Of course, you didn't expect that from me, a complete and utter stranger. We literally only talk when Brink wants to set up a meeting about grades. Besides, there's nothing to talk about. You answered some questions, we had a beer or two, we had sex, and that's it."
"Yeah, but, it's never been like that for me before and I know you've never slept with someone like me."
(Y/N) snorted. "I've slept with plenty of douchebags, Jordan, but yes, you're right. I've never been with someone who can change their body. It was new and fun but there's really nothing to talk about."
"I haven't been with anyone since."
"It's been two days since Friday."
"You know what I'm trying to say," Jordan groaned rather dramatically, sidestepping into her way and looking surprisingly nervous for the typical stone-faced, scowl-wearing, asshole everyone knew them as. (Y/N) bit the inside of her cheek and conjured up a few excuses as to how she could possibly be late to her next class when it was so close to the last one. "I've never been with someone who wanted to sleep with me like that, alright? No one has ever asked me if I wanted to change midway through before. It's always they want to sleep with a just a dude or just a chick, never both. I... I don't know. It was new to me too."
"So, we both tried something new that night. Great. I'm happy you got to experience that, and I'm sure you'll now feel comfortable asking your army of booty calls if they want to try it too. Now, can we just act like it never happened and carry on like normal? You can go back to being Brink's assistant and I'll go back to being the nightmare student whose questions and emails you have to answer every day." (Y/N) raised her hand to pat them on the shoulder and stepped around them, wincing when the late bell rang through the hallway. Jordan caught her arm, their jaw clenched and eyes downcast.
"I don't want to act like it never happened," Jordan admitted quietly, a soft tone she'd never heard them use before. "And I don't want things to go back to the way they were either."

Okay I watched the Six Triple Eight movie and I've been sitting with it for the last couple of days just sorting my thoughts and reflecting on how I feel about it. So here are all of my thoughts. What I liked, loved, hated, disliked but begrudgingly accepted. All of it.
Overall I LOVED IT!! AAHHHH!!!! It was a great movie and the history was pretty damn on point and I'm still so thrilled to have this movie in existence!!!!!! WE HAVE A MOVIE ABOUT THE WACS!! ABOUT THE 6888!!! THAT THE PUBLIC IS WATCHING AND ENJOYING AND WANTING TO LEARN MORE!!!! THAT'S SO IMPORTANT TO ME!!! It was so amazing to see so many women on screen during a WWII/war movie. I cried many many times. I'm so happy you guys. So happy.
Were there mistakes? Absolutely. Did those mistakes piss me off? Of course. I always get pissed at historical mistakes and the WACs are my historical specialty. Heck I know the historical consultant personally. But I knew going in that this is a Tyler Perry movie on a Netflix budget so of course there were going to be mistakes and things that are embellished for entertainment purposes. I prepared myself for it. So yes, overall I'm very happy with the film.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But lets go deep into it shall we!
Putting in a read more because I am detailed and long winded lol
Let's start with what I feel like was the good.
First of all, and what I feel like is one of the MOST important things about this movie: We have a movie about WOMEN in WWII. About Women of COLOR in WWII. About the WOMEN'S ARMY CORPS itself. We have a movie where the WAC are at the forefront of a war movie instead of being blurry background images with no names faces or lines OR just nurses acting as a romantic plot device to lift a man's story before disappearing never to be heard from again. Now we have a full movie just about THEM. And I fucking love it!! I want MORE!!!! And this film is getting people interested in history and wanting to learn more about not only the WACs but the 6888 themselves which will lead to more interest in women's history and women's history during WWII which makes me so fucking happy I could SCREAM!!!!! That's so amazing and so important and if anyone wants some more resources to learn more hit me up! I'm happy to share things!
In terms of the plot/story I'm fairly pleased with it too. Knowing it's a lower budget Tyler Perry Netflix movie, I fully expected them to sensationalize, exaggerate and change a lot of the real history. And yes they did do this a few times but the meat of the story is accurate. A lot of the story was accurate. More accurate than I expected.
The processing of new WACs, the gas mask drill, the voyage over, the marching through the streets upon arrival in England, the state of the King Edward School, the process of sorting the mail, all of the extra steps they all took to locate the men, the church scene, the loss of several women, the scene of Adams saying "over my dead body", etc. were all TRUE. That happened!! And I loved how it was all shown. I really really do.
However, I don't like that they changed the reason Lena joined the WACs to go from fighting for her country to be a romantic/for a dude story. I'm so tired of amatanormativity jeezus christ. Why does everything have to have romance in it. I mean I get why they shoehorned that plot in there. It's for the public who expect and apparently need a romance plot or whatever. But yeah I didn't like that. Was it a good story? Sure I guess. If you don't know the truth and like romance plots. I mean, Lena and Hugh were already married when she decided to join the WACs.
I also don't like that they changed the story of the women who lost their lives. In fact this is the one plot point that infuriates me the most. The rest I could overlook and accept as film nonsense that was always gonna happen for dramatic effect. But this? What was the point. First of all it was 3 women who lost their lives. In a jeep accident. They were not blown up because they went off the prescribed course. They didn't even give them the names of the real women who died. Which were Dolores Browne, Mary Barlow, and Mary Barkston. The emotional impact was lovely and I may have cried a little watching it but that doesn't mean I'm not so mad that it was changed. At least that WAS included in the movie that women died. And the part about raising money for the caskets is true as well. Charity Adams wrote about it in her memoirs. They took up a collection to purchase caskets and sent 3 women who matched the deceased women's measurements to buy them. Then they gave them a Protestant (for 2 of them) and a Catholic (for 1 of them) ceremony. The 3 women are now buried in the Colleville-Sur-Mer Normandy American Cemetery. That was true. And I'm glad all of this was included because the regular movie watcher should know this happened even if the facts weren't quite right.
I loved the ending. A lot. I sobbed when they returned home and were saluted by the men who benefited from the work of the 6888th. I SOBBED when they started playing the real footage of the battalion and the interviews with the members. SOBBED. I was a fucking mess after that segment and I'm BEYOND glad that it was included. That was the most important part of the whole damn movie. This story is REAL and about REAL women and you should go learn about them!
I literally clapped and cheered during the marching segment. I'm such a nerd for proper WAC drill. That dress right dress and cover down was SO GOOD!! Anyone who's been at my mercy when trying to learn drill should know that it's not easy to do. But these ladies were SHARP and SNAPPY and BEAUTIFUL! Ugh I loved it! That's what I am my unit to look like one day! The marching itself was a little weird though. They were picking up their feet way too much. It's like they were stomping down the street when it should have been a smooth roll step. And some of the ladies didn't have the arm swing down either. But the eyes right and salute moment!?! Aaaaahhhh!!! I screamed!!! In a good way!!! That movement was so smooth!!! So good!! And it felt, emotionally, so good to watch this giant group of women march down the street. Ugh I loved that.
This one is unique to me but The Phantom!!! I may have waved at the Phantom like it's my friend lol. Shoutout to my friends who own that vehicle!! The Phantom is a star!! I've ridden in that vehicle many times!! And my other friends car is in the movie too!! So fun!!!
Tumblr media
I like the montage of the work WACs did post graduation. That had the feeling of a WAC recruitment video and I enjoyed it a lot. That was cool AND ACCURATE!!!!!!!!
Kerry Washington and Milauna Jackson had great chemistry together and every time they were on screen together I was having a blast.
THE WAC BAND!! WAC BAND!! WAC MUSICIANS! THERE WERE WAC MUSICIANS!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! If you know me at all you know how OBSESSED with the WAC musicians I am. And the dance music for the movie was provided by the black WACs and I loved that. So. Much. Was it accurate to have a full WAC band stationed in England? Fuck no. Not at all. The 404th WAC band never left the US. Do I care? Not at all. I was too excited to see those women playing to care. Sorry not sorry.
Tumblr media
Okay now the bad. Hoo boy.
Obviously what I've already stated above about the factual errors. The incorrect facts regarding Lena, the women who died, the made up General Halt (you couldn't pick an actual general to use? why did you make one up?), the conclusion of the inspection and the "over my dead body" situation, etc.
The uniforms. Oh my god the uniforms. What the hell happened!? Now I will say, IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE!!! So much worse!! We've seen worse!! At least they were all wearing correct uniform pieces. Every uniform they wore was correct. I saw correct service uniforms, correct HBTs, correct officer uniforms, mostly correct M43s (where the fuck were their leggings?!). So thank god for that. The problem is that the uniforms were so sloppy!! Throughout the movie I kept shaking my head over the sloppy uniforms. Hats that are not on people's head properly. Shirt collars that are popped or crooked. Ill fitting jackets. Garrison caps ok wrong. Crushed Hobby Hats. Leggings not worn or worn backwards. The purses on the WRONG shoulder!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Horrifying. But this stuff wasn't the most egregious error of the film! This is the WORST thing in it. The upside down officers cap badge on Milauna was the WORST. That is unforgivable. How does that even happen!?! How did no one see it and go "oh wait we gotta fix that?" Especially when Kerry Washington was in the same scene wearing the same uniform! How! Does! This! Happen!?! Utterly ridiculous.
Tumblr media
I will say that I did chuckle for a bit because I kept thinking about my experience with the shit repro uniforms we have as reenactors and how I've dealt with a lot of the problems the movie had. I don't fit in original pieces so I have to rely on repros. I've dealt with my collars bunching weirdly, my hobby hat getting bent/crushed and not getting back into shape properly. I laughed out loud at the whole "my titties won't fit in my shirt" moment because SAME GIRL!! Big breasted girls know that pain. They make my shirt look so weird sometimes. Did I like the way it was said? Fuck no. I hated Johnnie's character so much. Why did she phrase it like that. Felt way too modern. Even if I could relate to trying to fit my big boobs into my wool shirt. And when I first started reenacting I definitely wore insignia wrong once or twice and once I put my garrison cap on backwards and didn't realize it and no one told me it was backwards so whoops. So I can accept some of the sloppiness because I've been there.
But just because I can relate to this all doesn't make it acceptable for a film! This is not something that should have shitty looking uniforms like this!! You have the time and the money and the resources!! The uniforms should fit and be worn CORRECTLY!! There is no excuse for the mistakes made. None. Not when you have all the references and access to veterans of the 6888 and a freaking historical advisor that I KNOW would have told you THIS IS WRONG! And so much of it is so easily fixable! Pull that hat down so it's on your head. Roll the hair up more. Curl her hair. Twist the insignia so it's the other way. Get her a bigger jacket and her a smaller one. EASY TO FIX.
I like a lot of the hair but the ones that were wrong were SO wrong it was PAINFUL! Johnnie's straight hair made me scream. It looked horrible all the time. Why did so many of them have their hair down below their collars at the dance!?!!!!! WHY!?!?! Sure it's pretty, but IT'S BELOW YOUR COLLAR!!!! STOP!!! Why was that one white WAC in a BUN!?! Why!!!??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the salutes!!! HORRIBLE!! Salutes aren't that hard!! Why did they all either salute like a Brit with the palm facing front or with the most crooked hand ever.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also plot wise, what was the point of introducing us to the supporting characters of all they were going to do was be a prop for Lena. We should have been given more about them. They needed more plots, more story, more characterization, more depth. I wanted more from them.
Overall I really really enjoyed the movie and the things that I disliked are not enough for me to say this was a bad movie. It wasn't. I do highly encourage everyone who watched the movie to check out some of the following resources to learn more about these incredible women:

Her hand tightened around the handle of the knife, her chest heaved as she breathed heavily. She looked down at the victim lying motionlessly on the floor. Just some pathetic overnight security guard that couldn't do what her controller wanted , someone who couldn't provide to William Afton's needs.
Her senses had slowly come flooding back to her piece by piece as the minutes ticked on, the knife ever so slightly loosening in her hand. She felt like she couldn't breath, her head being encased within the rabbit mask. She never liked the thing, it was just some sick and sadistic element that her father loved... And who was she to deny him? She literally couldn't, after all.
The loud bang of the knife hitting the floor finally completely snapped her out of it. She looked down in horror, tears filling her eyes, as she saw the body mangled on the floor. Blood pooled out from multiple wounds and stained the office room's floor.
The sound of metal clanking caused her to turn, and there she saw the other culprits. The animatronics. Now she was certain that Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and herself had made sure the security guard's death was a slow and painful one. Blood covered the animatronics' hands and feet, as well as her own. The only part she liked about wearing the rabbit suit was that she never got blood on her skin, she didn't know how she would cope if that ever happened.
Slowly, the red eyes of the animatronics turned to normal... Vanessa knew that they hated being controlled like this, she knew they would feel guilty for what they had done.
The tears in her eyes didn't last long, this was normal for her... The monthly kills to please her father. It was only a matter of time until the next one.
Tumblr media
You couldn't help but laugh at the joke Vanessa had just said, some corny dad joke in her attempt to impress you.
"Come on, it wasn't that bad," the blonde said, throwing her hands up in defence.
You had met Vanessa a couple months ago, she had greeted you at the door to the pizzeria on your first night shift and you immediately fell for her. She was sweet and understanding and you couldn't thank her enough for the help and advice she had given you regarding the job. She had started dropping by on your shifts quite often to spend time with you, and make sure you were doing okay.
Of course there had been flirtations between the two of you here and there, but nothing ever really came of it. You always felt as if Vanessa was being held back by something.
Eventually, Vanessa stood up from her chair, "Unfortunately, I can't stay all night. I have my own overnight shift to get to."
You whined, "Nooo, staaay," you clung onto her arm as she passed by you.
"Get off, Y/N!" she laughed, trying to pry away from your grip, "It's already one am, I'm gonna be late!"
"You're mean," you pouted.
"Yes. I'm so mean for leaving you to get back to my job that I am required to do."
You slumped down in your chair before releasing her, you threw your arm over your eyes, "Go on! Get out of here! Leave me!"
"You are so dramatic," Vanessa rolled her eyes. She patted your head, "There there, Y/N. You'll be fine."
Both you and Vanessa walked towards the exit, the blonde waved at the animatronics on her way out. She pulled her hood up over head, preparing to go out into the rain.
"Will you be back later?" you asked, hopefully.
She sighed, "I'm not sure, depends on how the night goes. I'll see you tomorrow night regardless."
You nodded, "Yeah, no worries. Good luck out there."
"Good luck in here," Vanessa smiled, "Have a good night, Y/N."
"You too, Ness."
And with that Vanessa left, heading towards her patrol car.
She sat in her car, flicking through her notepad and checking on her patrol areas for the night. She really hoped it would be a quick shift, definitely not because she wanted to see you as soon as possible again...
There had been countless times where she'd wanted to just open up to you and confess how she was feeling, but the underlying problem of her doing unspeakable things to people was stopping her. She didn't want you to know about that side of her. She didn't want you to hate her.
She shook her head, sticking the key in the ignition. She placed her hands on the wheel.
And that's when she froze.
Her eyes locked onto the rear view mirror, and there she could clearly see the backseat of her car.
The familiar white rabbit mask stared right back at her.
That was when a tear fell down her cheek, "No... Please..." her body shook as she realised what was about to happen.
Her hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, her foot moved to the pedals trying to get away from the pizzeria. All she could hear was the echoing laughter from her father within her head.
Leave Vanessa. Leave. Now.
She couldn't.
Her frown slowly turned into a smile. She slowly turned around and grabbed the rabbit suit, her fingers slowly smoothing over the rough fabric. Her smile grew wider as she saw the stained blood still there from her last victim.
She threw the mask on and stepped out of the car, she didn't care about the rain as she put the rest of the suit on. She stepped around to the back of the car and opened the trunk, she reached inside to grab the small black bag and retrieved its contents. The sharp knife that she had used oh so many times.
Her focus returned on the pizzeria, the bright sign drawing her in.
William was simply helping Vanessa out by letting her see you again, much sooner than expected. He was a good father.
Vanessa knew he was a g̵̥̋ó̵͇o̵͙̊ď̸̪ ̵̧̑f̷̪̍â̶͖t̶̘̀h̵̡̏e̶̤͛r̷͙̍.
Tumblr media
Yet another yawn left you as you stretched in your seat. You were currently sitting in the office, doing your job... Looking at the stupid monitors. And of course, night after night nothing ever happened. The animatronics were comfortably standing on the stage, none of them moving. Absolutely nothing was happening.
You almost decided to sleep, but...
The monitors started to flicker, static covering a number of the screens.
"Stupid thing..." you groaned before smacking the side of the monitors. With one final bang, the screens came back to life. A sigh of relief escaped you.
The relief in you was soon washed away by panic. You leaned in closer to get a better look. You couldn't help but freeze upon seeing the animatronics. Freddy, Bonnie and Chica had all turned their heads to look directly into the camera, their eyes were a glowing red. You could feel your heartbeat increase as the lights in the office started to flicker on and off.
Maybe the generators were on the fritz? Yeah... That's it. Just some faulty electricity.
That was when you heard a loud bang coming from the room nearby. You immediately checked the monitors again, the animatronics were still looking into the camera.
With a harsh gulp, you grabbed a flashlight and stood up - heading to leave the room to investigate. It was probably just some animal that got in and was tearing up the kitchen... You hoped it was just some animal at least.
You slowly walked down the hall towards the kitchen, taking careful steps. The pizzeria was definitely eerie with flickering lights and no noise apart from your echoing footsteps. Oh, and also that voice you keep on hearing.
Wait... Voice? You stopped in your tracks.
"Y̴̛̼̙̺͎̤͎̲̑̈́͜/̴̢͗̾̋͛̓̈́͠Ń̵̖͍̞̪͔̜̺͖̖̆~" a long, drawled out voice filled your ears - your name making your whole body shake.
"W-Who's there?" you asked, stepping into the kitchen.
The voice simply repeated your name once again.
"Come on, now! Stop messing around. Now get out of here before I call the cops."
They giggled in response. The voice was feminine, and it somehow had a glitchy overlay to it.
You frantically pointed your flashlight around in different areas of the kitchen, your breathing was laboured as fear settled in.
"Awwww. Is little Y/N s̷̞̠̗̊c̵͇̥̮̤̗͛̓a̴̼͒̑̌̓̋͗̚͠r̴̫̜̤͕͔͍̖̉́͂̀́͐͐̐͝e̶̡̛̟̤̳̞̤̮͓͈̅ḑ̵͙̓̆?"
Scared was an understatement.
The door to the kitchen slammed close, causing you to jump. The room was plunged into darkness.
"Don't be frightened. We're going to have a little fun."
You turned around and dropped the flashlight as a pair of arms grabbed you and threw you against a wall, your vision blurred upon impact as you slumped to the floor. You rubbed your aching head before cracking your eyes open. You were immediately met by bright red glowing eyes.
"Aren't you a pretty thing~ No wonder she likes you so much."
It was a white rabbit. Your voice caught in your throat as they moved in closer towards you.
"Speak up, little one. I haven't got a lot of patience."
"Wh-Who are you? What do you want?"
"Aww!" they exclaimed, "She never told you about me? She's no fun."
"Who-?"
You immediately stopped talking once the rabbit pointed a knife at your face, the sharp tip centimetres away from your nose, "You sure do ask a lot of questions..." she looked you up and down, examining you...
You felt tears pool in your eyes.
"Don't be sad, little one... I promise I'll make this quick... Well, I won't... But..." a glitchy laugh escaped the rabbit as she dragged the flat side of the knife against your cheek, "She likes you, you know? She will be so devastated when she realises you're gone."
You desperately wanted to know who this was, and who on Earth they were referring to. But you didn't dare speak.
Their ears perked as they cocked their head, "I can smell your fear, you know?" another laugh... "Come on, can't you recognise my voice?"
You shook your head. The voice was so glitchy, and so unrecognisable.
"I want you to know who kills you, Y/N..."
"P-Please..." you managed to squeak out. You wished Vanessa left now. You wished she were here.
You couldn't stop yourself from looking at the stained blood across the rabbit suit.
"Hmm..." they drawled, "I can see why she loves you, Y/N. So... p̷͇̈́ř̶̜e̷̛͈ṱ̴̿t̷͇͐y̵͍͛..." they leaned in closer, red eyes burning into yours.
"Who?" you decided to ask.
"That little police officer you have become so fond of."
"Vanessa?" a whisper escaped you, your heart started to beat out of your chest.
The rabbit seemed to falter upon hearing that name. Their hand which held the knife shook before they finally retracted away from you. You could tell they were angry behind the mask, but you also sensed something else. It was almost as if they were scared.
"Y̵̡̻̅́͊͐͝/̷̳̑̅́͜Ņ̶̡̖͇͊͘... Y/N..." their voice glitched in and out. They threw the knife away, hitting the ground. The metal bang caused you to flinch as you stayed on the floor with your back pressed against the wall.
They started to grasp at the rabbit mask on their head, "No no no..." they shook their head.
"Nessy?" you called out, not really believing what was going on right now.
"D̵̩͊o̴͐̀ͅn̵͇͍͠'̷̱̀̕t̴̬̣͘ ̴̯͂ḉ̸á̷͓l̴̙̈͝l̴̪̀̚ ̶̹̌͆͜m̸̯̓̈́ẹ̶͎̿ ̵̩̤̈̐ẗ̴̢̞́̋h̵͝ͅa̴̢̓̆t̸͚̄̕!̸̯͌" the rabbit stormed over to you, crouching down, their face right in front of yours, "I'm V̵̩̈́̚a̵͖͆̌͆̏̌n̶̡͎̲̩͑͜n̸͖͎̝͈͘y̵̻̺̰̰̟͛. There is no Vanessa."
"Vanessa, please..." you whispered. Vanny faltered once more, their head hung low. She snapped her vision back up towards you, her fabric-covered hands gripped each side of your face.
Vanny wasn't sure whether she wanted to squeeze your head or hold it gently, the conflicting feelings within her were becoming more prominent by the second.
"Vanessa."
Vanny scrambled back away from you, she leaned against a wall as she panted heavily.
"Y/N... Help me..."
You could clearly hear Vanessa's own voice.
Your hands shook as you crawled over to the rabbit, panic still washed over you... But you knew Vanessa would never hurt you. Something was definitely wrong here. You kneeled in front of her, scared yet worried.
"V-Vanessa? What's wrong? I-"
Vanny reached out and gripped your wrist harshly.
"I-I'm sorry, Y/N. I can't-I can't stop it. I don't want to hurt you."
You believed her. You 100% believed her.
She released your hand, you grabbed the rabbit mask and pulled it off her head - throwing it to the side. Inside the suit, there sat a dishevelled Vanessa with tears in her eyes. You carefully cupped the blonde's cheeks in your hands.
"It's okay," you whispered, trying to comfort her.
"Y-You need to get out of here, Y/N. And never come back. I can't control myself."
"I want to help you, Nessy," the tears in your eyes matched hers.
"They're coming, Y/N. The animatronics. They'll hurt you. Just as much as I will."
You shook your head, "Vanessa-"
One of her hands came up to rest on your cheek, the rough fabric of the suit scraped against your skin, "I don't want to hurt you. Please, Y/N..." she felt her body shake slightly, Vanny desperately wanting to come back out.
You put one of your hands on top of hers, "What will happen to you?"
"I don't know. But as long as you're safe, that's all that matters."
"I... I can't-"
"Y/N," her voice was stern, "Please. I can't keep them back for much longer."
You still ignored her, "They-Vanny... Vanny told me you loved me. Please, Vanessa, I can't leave you here like this-"
Vanessa surprised you, leaning forward to capture your lips with hers. You happily returned the kiss as so many different emotions flowed through you. You felt Vanessa comfortably rubbing your cheek with her thumb, you just wished it was her actual skin and not the fabric of the suit - but you certainly weren't going to complain.
You suddenly pulled away in confusion. The first thing that hit you was the metallic taste that had settled across your tongue. You searched Vanessa's eyes for answers, you certainly weren't expecting a smirk to be plastered across her face.
"I guess I did promise I would make it q̵͔̎ṷ̵́i̵̲͠c̵͍̈k̷̭͗ after all."
Your hand slowly ran down to your stomach, you flinched at the feeling. You lifted your hand to get a better look, shaking as you went. Your fingers were completely red. You looked down and saw Vanessa's free hand wrapped around the handle of the knife that was currently piercing your skin.
Vanessa-Vanny quickly pulled the knife out, causing a choked scream to escape you.
You fell to your hands and knees as Vanny stood up, "N-Nessy-" you managed to breathe out before you hit the floor.
You frantically looked up, searching Vanessa's tear-filled eyes as she firmly placed the rabbit mask back onto her head. Your own tears dripped against the floor, mixing with the sheer amount of blood that had already began to form.
"I'm n̵̗͌o̶̙͂t̷̩́ sorry."
The last thing you saw was Vanny opening the kitchen door to reveal the animatronics waiting on the other side. You couldn't stop yourself from closing your eyes.

𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐎; where you, the Hogwarts Newsletter editor, wrote a less-than-praising piece about Gryffindors losing the recent match.
— ------------------ — ------------------ —
"She's a Slytherin too, of course! Makes the perfect sense!"
James threw tantrums daily, so Remus wondered if he should be especially distraught when his best friend started kicking his study table in frustration.
"Who?"
"Y/N bloody L/N, that's who!" His voice turned high pitched, trying to hide his pain from kicking the desk. "Marlene just told me she's a Slytherin!"
"Why's that name familiar?" Remus put down his book, and James saw Sirius Black's head resting on his lap. His eyes were closed, but it was obvious he was awake and listening.
"L/N is the editor of Hogwarts Newsletter. She's the one who wrote all those nasty articles about me."
"You mean about your whole team."
"Throwing shots at them is throwing shots at me personally! She has no right—"
"Technically, she does have to report on matches."
"Oh shut up, Moony."
"I thought the articles were pretty good," Sirius whispered, nuzzling closer to his boyfriend's touch. Remus had absently started playing with his hair.
James let out a sharp gasp, as if his best friend stabbed him in the back.
"...from a writer's standpoint, of course," Sirius added quickly.
"I'm getting new best mates!" James put his hands up in frustration and stormed out of the room.
-----------------------------
You were walking back into the castle with your friends when you saw a disheveled boy in Gryffindor robes and slightly tilted glasses make his way out. He was looking behind him as he walked, so it was hardly a surprise when he collided with you.
"Merlin, watch where you're going," he said, looking at the splatter of your books on the ground.
You scoffed. "You're the one who crashed into me, you buffoon!"
Despite his rude comment, he had bent down to pick up your books. He took them all... angrily? It was obvious he was just in an outburst of sorts.
"I can get them—"
"I'm done, I'm done," he interrupted, standing up with a badly arranged pile. He sounded less frustrated than before, but he gasped immediately on seeing one of your books... or specifically, your name on it.
"YOU'RE Y/N L/N?" He yelled in pure surprise.
"Uh, yes?"
He stared at you in utter bafflement for a good five seconds.
"GREAT!" He shoved the books in your hands like they were burning his skin. "Just perfect. Of course, it had to be someone bloody gorgeous! OF COURSE!"
With that, he stormed off, for the second time that day.
"Uhm, who the hell was that?" you asked your friends in confusion.
"I think he's in that trouble-making Gryffindor gang. The one with Regulus's brother."
"Oh right, he looks familiar from the matches," you said, turning back. James was walking into the distance, kicking rocks and yelling at himself. "Why's he so dramatic?"
"Oh trust me, you don't know the half of it." A red-haired girl muttered, walking past you without another word.
Gryffindors are being weird today, you decided, shrugging it all off.
As you and your friends moved on, you were oblivious to the newsletters circulating twenty times more than usual, everyone giggling especially at the Quidditch section.
You didn't know it right then, but you had unknowingly become a Slytherin celebrity overnight, all because you humbled James Potter — a feat everyone in your house had always wanted to achieve.

You scratch my back...
Tumblr media
No, he did *not* need extra help.
Katsuki Bakugo? Need *extra* help? Nah. So he *might've* gotten a low 80 in the last English test. So he *might've* messed up like...a bit when he last went on his work study with Best Jeanist in England. (He *might've* accidentally insulted an English speaking hero by accident. Then again, this *is* Bakugo we're talking about.)
Either way, when his mother started riding his ass about his subpar english (turns out third year's english was more than just conversational,) he told himself he'd just *apply* himself better.
Well. Here he was, with *another* subpar grade. THE GREAT EXPLOSION MURDER GOD DYNAMIGHT does not *get* a 82% in *any* subject! ...Except English, that is.
And of course, there was *you*. An English speaking native. This stuff was *easy* to you, you basically had this in the bag. Translating had become second nature to you, and despite your heavy accent, you spoke Japanese well. Since being recommended to U.A., you had studied the Japanese language extensively. Sure, you still messed up, but you still excelled. It almost seemed wrong, taking English class. They were studying things you knew about since middle school.
However, just like U.A.'s resident stick of Dynamight (hah), you also had a weak subject.
*Math.* Any math, really. A good grade for you in math is a 70. Numbers were...safe to say, the real villain of your life. Simple math should be enough! Why did anyone need to throw letters or fancy symbols in there!? 2 plus 2 equals 4 and that should be that! Co? Sin?? Tan?! Who cares!? You were training to be a pro hero for God's sake, not a scientist!
Looking at yet another low grade in Trigonometry, you sighed. You slunked into your seat, setting your test face down on your desk. You happened to let your eyes roam and spotted Denki's paper. He got a 74%.
You got a 70%.
What!?
Denki was the lowest ranked in academics in your class, and here he was, moaning about a 74%. You bit your lip.
Shit. You knew you were screwed. You probably ranked the lowest in this test.
"How'd you do?" Momo, ever the kind presence in your life asked. You shook your head. "Not well." You answered honestly. Momo's brows drew in, concerned. "We did all that studying, too...maybe you have test anxiety?" She wondered aloud. You shook your head. "I mean, sure-I get nervous but not enough to screw me up this bad! Numbers just...get twisted in my head and I can't seem to understand it-" you cut yourself off. A sigh heaved from your chest. "Its a miracle I even got into U.A." you mumbled underneath your breath. Momo patted your shoulder. "Its okay. You'll do better next time, I'm sure."
This conversation didn't fail to reach Bakugo's ears. You? Bad at math? Huh. Well, not everyone could be as smart as him. Of course he passed his test with flying colors. A 98%. His grades were spotless! ...But that stupid English grade taunted him. Sure, a low 80 would be great- for some *average* extra. No, he needed to be *amazing* across the board. (And so his mom would get off his ass, that was an added bonus.) But maybe this little tidbit he found out about you could come in handy...
It was during lunch. You were sitting with Momo, Jiro and Mina. You were all talking about the recent gossip about some hero celebrity news, (Kamino Woods and Mt. Lady a *thing*?? Le *gasp*!) When Bakugo slammed his tray down. The girls startled, you included. "Bakugo! What gives!? Trying to send us into an early grave!?" Mina cried out, clutching her chest dramatically. "Shut it, raccoon eyes! *You*." He pointed to you. You pointed to yourself, "*me*?" "Yes, *you*. I have a proposition. And you better take it, if you know what's good for you." He hissed. The girls looked between you two nervously. You were quite nervous, too. He sat down in the empty chair, crossing his legs lazily and stuffing his hands in his pockets. He looked at the rest of the girls. "*Leave.* Me an' her need to discuss shit *privately*." He grunted. The girls looked at you worriedly, and all you could do was shrug. They nodded, scooping up their trays to another table, "Don't hesitate to run away-" jiro said under her breath, and you resisted a chuckle. He shot her a look as they left. Once they were past ear shot, he looked back at you and narrowed his eyes. "So. You're shit at Trigonometry, huh?" He cut right to the point. You almost choked on your green tea. "Uh...whatever gave you that idea-" "Don't play games, idiot *gajin*. I could hear you whining about it in class." He smirked. "Looks like your brain isn't so big after all." You bit the inside of your cheek. "So? What's your point? I thought you grew past being a blatant asshole, but I guess not." You shot back, referring to his old self in first year. True, alot had happened since then, and he was a bit more calm since then (being kidnapped, two wars and an injured arm and heart would do that to a person;) but he still had that streak of asshole in him every now and then. (Especially when it came to you, for whatever reason.) His eyes shifted, narrowing at the floor. He wanted to refute, but that would get them nowhere. "What if I help you, and you help me?" He asked quietly, almost wincing at the fact he just somewhat admitted he needed help. "I'm sorry?" You asked, not sure if you were hearing correctly.
"I'll help you with Trig, and you help me with English." He stated, clearly. You stared at him. He stared back. "...Well? I ain't got all day." He hissed. You bit your lip in thought. Did you have to do that? His eyes darted to your lips. He hated when you did that. Made his stomach muscles tighten. Weird. You finally looked up at him, and nodded. "Okay. But you better not yell at me if I don't get the problems right away. Or if I need extra explaining. Or if-" "Fine! Jeez, I got it, idiot!" He cut you off. "Tomorrow. Meet me in the library at 5. Don't be late or I'll kill you." He stated, grabbing his tray and leaving you there-flabbergasted, and lunch cold.
Well. That was an interesting turn of events for one day.
**so I haven't written a reader insert, or any fanfiction in ages, like...maybe since graduating college? Since I have a little time on my hands now, I wanted to try something. Updates might be sporadic, and this is gonna be a short one. But I wanted to dip my toes in again. Here's to hoping you don't get chewed out by a rabid pomeranian for your crappy math skills!**
(Also still getting used to the format. Apparently the * symbol doesn't do anything for the words like reddit. Apologies.)

i hate you (affectionately) — jeon wonwoo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: wonwoo x reader
content: fluff, college au, tutor!won, junhui is your twin brother
wc: 770
"Hey Y/n? Are you okay? Why do you look so glum?" Your older brother Junhui pinched your cheeks waking you up from your reverie. You just sighed and removed his hand from your face.
"Maybe I really did something bad on my past life to deserve this punishment," you shook your head in dismay. "Why do you even have to suck all the genius blood in our mother's womb and then left nothing for me? What a twin brother you are."
Junhui let out a hearty laugh. He's obviously enjoying this. "So you're being like this because Wonwoo is tutoring you?"
"Do you really have to ask?" you hissed at him. "You could've at least convinced Mom that you'll just be the one to tutor me. You're one of the top students, for God's sake!"
"Yes, but I'd rather not do that because one,” he held up his hand before you and folded a finger. “You're unbearable and you always have a lot of things to complain when I'm teaching you. Two, I have better things to do and three, I'm helping my bestfriend earn his voluntary work hours."
"Just say you love your bestfriend than your own sister."
"I don't. I still love you more. But this might prove beneficial to you in the long run, just give it a shot."
"And how would it benefit me? I would have to spend an hour a day with your prick of a bestfriend! Do you know how torturous that is for me?"
"Well, I think not as torturous as me having to put up with all your unreasonable whining," said a familar voice which was obviously not Junhui's. You turned around only to find the person you have been badmouthing right now. He's still wearing his university uniform with his spectacles on.
Okay. It's hard not to notice that he looks so handsome with it but of course, you're not gonna admit that out loud.
"Bro, you're finally here!" Your brother greeted him and they did this fistbump thingy they always do when they meet each other. "Just please pretend you didn't hear what she said. She didn't have her daily fill of coffee so she's a little dramatic right now."
"She's always dramatic," Wonwoo shrugged. "I'm used to it by now."
You automatically groaned in annoyance, "Don't talk that way about me like I'm not here!"
They both stared at you for a second until Junhui tapped Wonwoo's shoulder. "I'm gonna leave her to you now. I know you can handle her."
Wonwoo nodded, "I guess I have to try my best."
Before you could hear any more of their snide remarks, you already turned around and marched your way to the study room where you will be doing the tutoring session.
It didn't take long until Wonwoo finally followed you. He put down his things first on the table before looking at you.
"Y/n," he calmly called and you swear you could feel his stare digging to the deepest part of your soul. "Won't you give me a hug?"
Your lips broke into a wide smile as you rushed over to him and encircled your arms around his neck. "I missed you."
"I missed you too, babe. Haven't seen you in school the whole day and when I finally came here, I had to hear you call me prick," a hint of sulking was etched on Wonwoo's voice.
"You know I didn't mean that," you said and cupped his face using both of your hands. "I just had to put up a show to my brother. I had to hide my excitement or else he'll know."
"Truth is, he already knows Y/n..."
"What?"
"Jun already knows were together," Wonwoo chuckled upon seeing your shock-stricken face. "He actually set up this whole thing. You know he could tutor you himself but he convinced your Mom that I should do it."
"I bet that's why he was laughing at me earlier. I might've looked so stupid. He's really a menace! He should've just told me the truth," you buried your face in his chest while he tightened his hold on your waist. "And you even agreed with him on calling me dramatic!"
"Because it's true?" he teased which earned him a slap on the back from you. "Nonetheless, it's still one of the many things I love about you, Y/n. It's part of your charm."
You giggled upon hearing what he said, "Should we just go on a date?"
"No," he replied. "We should get some tutoring done today or your brother would wring my neck."
