"You know," Valentino stated absently, waving one hand dismissively as he leaned down. Bent in half to place his chin on Striker's shoulder, he sighed, "They won't have the patience for someone like you. I know you're here for..."

Another dismissive wave, and he took a drag off of his cigarette. The rich scent of sugared cherries filled the small walkway, and he shook his head as he let the smoke drift from between his teeth. It deepened his voice, and when he tipped his head, their cheeks touched.

"Recruitment, or whatever. But your little announcement ain't gonna fly too well with the establishment's usual customers. They're here to see pretty things flaunt their ass...ets. Not sexy, gruff cowboys growling about royals and revolutions."

One lower hand brushed over the base of Striker's tail, and he didn't seem to care that he shouldn't be invading the imp's personal space.

"But I could handle that for you... For an additional fee."
