1. What is your favourite ice-cream flavour and when is the last time you had it? I like caramel flavored ice cream the best. It’s been a few weeks. I should pick some up. Thanks for the reminder. ;)

2. Have you ever been thrown a surprise party? If yes, did you enjoy it/if no, would you like to be? My friends threw me a surprise part for my 30th birthday. I felt very loved. It was (I think) the only birthday party I’ve ever been thrown, so it was a particularly good example.

3. How many lightbulbs are you currently in the same room as? There are four in this room. Two on the walls behind wooden shades, one weird design lamp, and one floor lamp with a cylindrical paper shade.

4. Do you have a favourite artwork? Yes. I’m glad you didn’t ask ‘of all time’ because I just can’t do that. I really really love Alexandr Rublev’s Icon The Hospitality of Abraham though. It’s good for me and where I am emotionally these days.

5. What’s the most exciting thing you’ve done in the last week? I’ve done a lot of exciting things this last week. Visited the Field museum; partied with #Clarice and Zdenko; work has been a roller coaster; but my experience in centering prayer this week was probably the most engaging (and for me, that’s the same thing as exciting).

6. What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learnt in the last week? That what people who are say they are seeking enlightenment are really looking for is a deep experience of compassion.

7. How do you feel about poetry? I wish I could climb inside it and live there.

8. Is there a book/film/TV show that everyone raves about but you didn’t really enjoy? Dr. Who. I seem to be among its target demographic, and I just can’t connect. 

9. What fantasy/mythological creature do you most wish was real? God, probably?

10. Is there a hobby/skill/activity you gave up when you were younger that you regret giving up and would you take it up again given the opportunity? I used to embroider on my jeans. Emblems, Cursive script texts. I decorated them in such a way that made me feel strong. I wish I would have kept that up. I can barely thread a needle anymore.

11. What is the last piece of music you paid for? La Caccina put on a concert of the entirety of Joni Mitchell’s iconic album Blue at Uncommon Ground. It was a $10 cover to get in the door. Best $10 I’ve spent in a while.

"They can be, though when they aren't making you work for things!" He offers a smile, clasping his gloved hands together for a moment as the other speaks. They are right of course. Though Zdenko does have good intel on his son so he isn't worried. "Actually, he wants kids and wants to go on a blind date and he is lonely. It's best to just ask out right. I want whats best for my son asI am sure all parents do."

"I'm... sure you do. My mom always said children were a blessing, or something like that..."

-> He seemed very insistent on this idea. Lyric is beginning to wonder if, in his hopes of securing a family for his son, he had asked him much about what he thought. They look at his open hands, and then back up at his face. ( he seemed to be a gentle man. )

"Not to be a nettle in a clover patch, but isn't that kind of what you're doing? Arranging things. Moreover, have you asked your son if he even wants kids? That's kind of an important thing to discuss between him and his partner..."

"What is a MILF. I don't understand. You kids these days and your saying. Rad! What does a MILF mean?" He's going to run off and ask his son.

"Ah! I can understand my late wife and I moved on very fast. Though that's how my son was born and I do love him so." He paused, a soft smile on his features.

"Though my late wife and I never really loved each other romantically times of course have changed and back then arranged marriages were a thing. Bah! You don't want to hear that old story." He offers up a smile, holding his hands out to Lyric. "Magic can help! My son is friends with some powerful witches they could help." He was going to help as well in anyway he could.

"Er, that's--- I don't really think I am..."

-> They put both hands up defensively, as if to create more theoretical distance from the concept.

"A date without meeting someone seems a little fast... Completely aside from that, I'm a dragon you know? Conception rates for egg layers aren't good."
