a lot has changed in one season. y/n knew things would change, like they do with time, but so much happened in just twenty four races, y/n wasn’t sure if she was in the right dimension sometimes.
after nine season in formula one, and spending five of those with max as her teammate, y/n finally achieved her dream. it wasn’t easy being in a male dominated sport. she received plenty of hate and backlash and words of not being enough or not being good. though, max protected her.
he went on in interviews about how much she had improved and how much more of a competition she was for him than any other driver at the moment. every interview he spent praising her, y/n rewarded him with kisses and maybe more later on.
oh yes, that had also changed in one season. max and y/n went from friends and teammates to lovers and teammates. they kept it under wraps for now. they would have to do it for a while, they knew that. only the closest friends of the two drivers knew, which usually included a small circle of lando, carlos, charles, daniel, and oscar.
max and y/n had secret moments whenever possible, though they remembered to hate everyone, including each other, as soon as the helmets were on.
they had a tough competition throughout. oftentimes, it was hard to keep the feelings of things happening on track out of their relationship off track. they sometimes fought at home about the things that happened on track, and kept grudges, despite knowing how much it was affecting them negatively. they tried their best to not revert back to their native languages when arguing, even if it was easier for them to get their point across.
but, max and y/n bounced back from it quickly. they rebuilt their relationship and made sure to keep emotions separate. after a lot of efforts put into a more open communication between the two, they managed it.
it all came down to one moment. well, not one moment, because it had been a long time coming. it had been proven race after race after race. everyone knew the outcome, despite the wheel to wheel racing that had happened all throughout the season.
it was the gala at the end of the season. y/n was in a beautiful sari that max couldn't keep his eyes off of. max was also in a stunning suit, but when y/n was standing there, she glowed brighter than anyone in the room, even the people who had literal rhinestones on their dresses.
when the world driver's championship name was announced, everyone knew who it was going to be, but everyone cheered just the same. max and y/n embraced, keeping it short for the cameras, no matter how much they wanted to just hold onto each other. the other drivers, team principles, and journalists congratulated the winner, patting backs, smiling so proudly.
when the trophy was handed to the winner, the hosts stepped back to give the mic to the world driver's champion, and y/n saw her team, especially max, standing and clapping the loudest.
"uh, this is so surreal, i don't even know what to say. i want to thank my parents, who worked day and night to get me to karting competitions and buying me race suits so often because of how quickly i was growing as a child. thank you so much, mumma, papa, i hope i've made you proud.
"i also want to thank my team, my incredible team who gave me a car that has led me here with this trophy in my hand. i am so grateful for them and for everything that they worked on, have been working on the past years.
"lastly, i'd like to thank max verstappen for giving me such a tough competition this year, and really pushing me to my limits and reminding me just how good i am as a driver. we've all had our doubts about our abilities, but max never let me doubt for a second, and i am so thankful to him. thank you."
y/n posed for pictures, and walked to her table to celebrate with her team, met with the other drivers and celebrated with them, and she felt like she was walking on clouds.
after the event had ended, and everyone started leaving, max and y/n decided that it was time for them to leave as well. as soon as they sat in the car, y/n facetimed her parents. she had been itching to talk to her parents ever since she won the award, but could not do so in the middle of the event.
"mumma, see!" y/n had a childlike glow on her face as she smiled at her parents, showing off her trophy. it made max smile.
"yeh kitna bada hai!" he heard her mum say, though he did not understand what she said.
"no, it's not too big. thoda heavy hai par. do you think we can keep it in the bookshelf in the living room?"
"no no no. this, we will keep, in the living room for everyone to see." her dad said.
y/n laughed, "nahi, papa! we can't do that!"
"arre? why not? i want to show off to all my friends that my daughter won such a big bhaari award. isiliye toh paeda kiya tha tume,"
y/n laughed again, "really? the only reason i was born was to win awards to show off to your friends?"
"of course!" her parents said in unison, and the woman beside max laughed again.
he began to tune out the conversation as he stared at y/n, someone that had beat him for the world driver's championship, someone he was madly in love with. he watched as she cuddled the trophy to her chest, refusing to let it go even for a second. he watched as the city lights from outside reflected on her face. he watched at the drapes of the sari was spread out beside her in between them, and how the colours complimented her so perfectly. he was so busy watching her, max hadn't realised when y/n had hung up and was staring back at him now.
"what?" max asked, when he realised that he had been caught staring.
y/n smiled hesitantly, almost afraid to ask, afraid to know, "are you mad?"
max's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "why would i be mad?"
"that i won and you didn't. i don't want to rub it in your face, but i'm just so happy, y'know?"
max smiled, reaching out and tugging a lock of her hair, "i'm so proud of you, baby. rub it in my face. i will happily take it. i know how happy you are, and i am so happy for you,"
"really? seeing me like this, with the trophy, doesn't make you hate me even a little bit?" y/n asked.
"seeing you like this, i fell even more in love with you."
y/n smiled, brighter than she had when she received the award, wider than when she was talking to her parents. "i'm falling in love with you more too," she whispered.
they met halfway as they shared a soft kiss, somehow pouring everything that they felt in it. pulling back, y/n leaned across and fit herself against max, as he pulled her closer. y/n cradled the trophy like it was her child, and max had never felt happiness like before.

Customers value the products’ quality, creativity, and sense of humor with which the employees approach their work. ~ Jonah Berger
“Living in an era where opportunities are readily accessible, some people have become even more appreciative of being different from others and the chance to witness something secret and unique. They are willing to put in extra effort and resources to see, buy, and own something others don't know about.”
Companies that use customer word-of-mouth to their advantage stand out amongst competitors who chase usual advertisement strategies. ~ Jonah Berger
“To go viral, avoid bright slogans but choose effective triggers that will cause a reaction. Observe the places where people live, listen to what they talk about and what they use, and get them interested in your services so that they have no reason to refuse you.”
Save thought-provoking articles, notes, messages, and books. Revisit them when you need inspiration or fresh ideas. ~ Jonah Berger
“Their research took a new path when Jonah Berger and his colleagues delved into observing readers' emotions. They discovered that the audience loves to learn secrets and life hacks from the authors, helping them to feel surprised and happy. The desire to become the source of these incredible facts motivates people to forward such articles to their social circle.”
“Albert Einstein, Nobel Prize in Physics winner, considered the possibility of building bridges between art and science to be his most remarkable source of inspiration and awe. He believed people could find reasons to wonder by examining even the most difficult or boring subject”
“While in public spaces, everyone observes, evaluates, and compares each other. People pay attention to what strangers around them wear, buy, eat, and talk about. If they like what they see, they unconsciously superimpose it into their lives and think about what they need to possess to become like these people.
That is why fashion designers, restaurateurs, directors, writers, and fitness trainers want to be on various recommendation lists. If the majority of people recognize the quality and necessity of their services, they become a must-have for everyone else.”
Social proof relies on people observing others' experiences and satisfaction before making similar choices in what they do and buy. ~ Jonah Berger
Behavior is public and thoughts are private. ~ Jonah Berger
“People constantly seek ways to improve their productivity, save time or money, enhance their skills, or optimize their overall well-being. But when a product or service allows them to feel like experts by recommending it to friends or relatives, that’s when they will be most delighted.”
By delivering high-quality and valuable information, you can establish yourself as a go-to resource and increase the likelihood of your ideas spreading. ~ Jonah Berger
“Therefore, another reliable chance to make a thing go viral is to indicate all the components of its practical value. Your customers will be happy to become ambassadors for your product if:
• You pay attention to their interests, desires, doubts, and fears. People love when brands remember them, care about them, and want to help them cope with difficulties. In other words, they expect to receive a helpful list of original Christmas gifts from you in November, not February.
• Clients can find your insights and advice in a constant stream of other information. After using them and feeling happy, they will be obliged to share them with others. People tend to help each other more when they are going through similar experiences.
• Your audience feels unique and valued. Personal offers, invitations to events, and thematic discounts help here.
Speaking of discounts, what principle do you think is more effective — to indicate the amount the service cost has decreased or its percentage?”
“After numerous market studies, experts formulated the 100 rule: if the product costs less than one hundred dollars, the discount should be indicated as a percentage; when it is more expensive, it is more profitable to specify the amount the buyer will save. Let's admit it, a 10% discount on a $50 pullover looks more effective than a label saying you'll only save five dollars. And vice versa: the same 10% discount on a music center priced at five thousand dollars is less likely to entice customers than a sign that says “$500 off.”
Show your audience the unobvious value of your services, and they will stay loyal to you for a long time.”
The process of implementing business ideas resembles game mechanics. Every client wants to differ from other players, get extra points, and feel like a winner. ~ Jonah Berger
“Modern businesses and marketing campaigns should focus on valuable virality. You can be an excellent example for them by:
• Finding an approach to your audience like Steve Jobs.
• Understanding clients' true desires like social worker Koreen Johannessen.
• Surprising your customers like the owner of the Blendtec company Tom Dickson and journalist Denise Grady.
• Engaging people with a unique experience like the Please Don't Tell bar’s owners.”
“Research your audience, explore projects your partners implement, and don't be afraid to experiment. Most importantly, enjoy what you do! This way, you will transfer your satisfaction to your customers.
Try this”
“Evaluate your idea and make a plan to popularize it:
• How many people know about it?
• How will it help them improve their lives?
• What emotions does your product give, and what story does it tell?
• Why would people want to tell others about it?”

If you're seriously asking "why is our voting system set up so that we can vote for a third party despite them being never able to win (unless one or both of the Big Two have collapsed)," the answer is that when the Founding Fathers were setting up the Constitution, they were kinda flying blind. Nobody had ever done democracy on this scale before, and nobody had ever had a democratically elected head of state (President) before. And there weren't that many models of how to do democracy on a smaller scale, either. Some of the assumptions they had turned out to be wrong, and there are a lot of factors that they had no way to anticipate.
And they knew there were going to be problems! They knew things were going to change, they knew they were doing an experiment and parts of it might not work out the way they thought, that's why they built in the ability to modify the constitution. (Jefferson thought that every generation should write an entirely new constitution, but nobody else thought that was a good idea. They thought that regularly modifying the constitution would be sufficient. And for about 175 years, it was! From the ratifying of the Constitution through 1971, there were 26 amendments ratified. That's an average of one constitutional amendment every 7 years.
Due to the increasing polarization of American politics, that has changed. Guess how many amendments we've ratified since 1971. If we were continuing at the same rate, we should have had about eight amendments. Guess how many actually got through.
I'll tell you. One. In 1992. It was about how Congressional salaries worked.
At any rate! The Founding Fathers did not like political parties. They thought that they were inherently bad for a number of reasons, and they didn't want professional politicians, and they didn't want politicians campaigning to be elected. They thought that all informed citizens should judge each candidate and policy on its individual merits. That lasted, oh, about six seconds after the Constitution was ratified before going down in flames.
And they had "winner takes all" elections because the other types of election hadn't been developed yet. Some of the Founding Fathers were talking about how in principle something more proportional might be a better idea, and a French guy was also thinking about it, but the first proportional voting system wasn't developed to the point of being usable until 1819.
The Founding Fathers knew that winner takes all had problems, but they didn't understand how applying that system to electing your head of government (President) would magnify those problems. Because it's an issue of scale. The smaller the number of voters, the more chance there is for multiple candidates and multiple parties to have a genuine shot at getting elected. And in a parliamentary system like England, people don't elect the head the Prime Minister. Every legislative district (which are much smaller than US states) elects their minister, and then the party with the most ministers forms a government. If they don't have at least 50% of the ministers (and very rarely dose any party get 50%+), they form a coalition with some other parties that are close to them. Which means they have to listen to those parties even if they're relatively small, or the small parties won't play ball. The minister in that coalition who is the most popular with the members of the coalition is the one who becomes prime minister. So even if your party only gets a small percentage of the ministers elected, you can still have a meaningful impact on the policies of government.
That doesn't work when you are electing the head of government directly with hundreds of millions of people voting.
Anyway, that's why we have the system we do. I think we should change it, but it's what we've got for now.
As for why don't people realize that, well, I think a lot of them are too young to remember when Clinton got elected despite winning only 37% of the popular vote because Ross Perot (a conservative Independent) got something like 20% of the vote. I was only a kid, but I remember it.
You’re seriously still blaming Trump on “Bernie Bros”? Time for democrats to start taking responsibility for putting up shitty candidates and deflecting blame toward everyone else, for once
Trump was elected by a very narrow margin. And there was a ton of polling and data crunching and statistical modeling going on during and after the election, so we actually know what the factors that tipped the needle Trump's direction are.
One of the biggies is leftists who thought Hilary was insufficiently far left. If every leftist who loved Bernie and disliked Hilary because she wasn't perfect enough had held their nose and voted for Hilary, Trump would have lost. They're not the only demographic that's true of; there are a number of others who, if they had turned out in force, would have turned the tide of the election. For example, if a higher percentage of Black women had voted, Trump would also have lost. You know what the difference is between your average Bernie Bro and your average Black woman? Your average Bernie Bro is white and thus a hell of a lot less likely to have his vote suppressed. He is a hell of a lot more likely to find it easy to vote. This is not me saying this because I don't like them, or because I think Hillary was a perfect candidate. This is me saying that when you look at the actual numbers, leftist ideologues who refused to vote for a candidate who was not their perfect choice was one of the main reasons Trump got four years in the White House.
In general, regardless of the candidates involved, if 55% of American adults vote in a national election, the Republican wins in a landslide. If 60% of American adults vote, the Republican wins by a bare margin. If 65% of American adults vote, the Democrat wins by a bare margin. If 70% of American adults vote, the Democrat wins by a landslide. If 75% of American adults voted--and voted regularly in every election--the Republican party would cease to be a significant force in American politics.
This has been known for decades. Republicans will show up and vote no matter what; a very high percentage of Democrats and left-leaning voters will only show up if the candidate in question is perfectly in line with their views. That's why we have a Congress that is dominated by Republicans despite most of the country not liking them, and that's why we have most of the political problems that they do. By waiting for a political candidate who is good enough, you are directly ceding power to the people who are making the world worse.
Elections are decided by the people who show up. If you do not show up to vote, your vote does not get counted. If politicians want to get re-elected, they have to listen to the people who will vote for them. If they try to listen to the people who don't regularly vote, they are far more likely to lose re-election than if they listen to the people who show up every election. And conservatives show up every election. If liberals and leftists changed our voting habits and voted in every single election--voted for the furthest left candidate in the primary, and whoever got the Democratic nomination in the general election--we would prove ourselves to be a voting bloc worth listening to and the party would move left in response.
You want a candidate who perfectly fits your vision and ideals for what America should be? That doesn't happen in a vacuum. That takes work, and the most basic level of that work is showing up to vote now and every time there's an election to vote in.

Article Title : "Gratitude "
One of The Best Director, Nobayeni Xaba has worked with in the Showbiz , is none either than Thembi Nyandeni, Director and Founder at Africa Umoja . She couldn't be more greatful and  appreciative of the Values she has instilled , without her even knowing. Her motto was Simple " Go big or Go home" and they all knew it's either you have it or you don't. Mom Thembi Nyandeni as a director she is brutality Ohnest and as a result she has a way of bringing  out the best in you as a performer. She has a good eye of spoting talent, and it's in her voice that you realise "It's about to go down",. It's in her  Motherly Instict and her selection of cast members, that  would just make you feel great, because it meant not only did you prove to her that you've got what it takes, but it would be a fulfillment from inside, feeling in an authentic way that you belong to the first cast, and that meant greatness and respect from her.
I used to be scared of her, "Nobayeni Xaba stated", but later I realised it's actually the deep respect that I have for her. One of the principles I have learned from her was that:
"When You Are Short, interms of height, make sure that your moves looks bigger on stage, especially when Perfoming with taller people next to you" . ( wherever I go, Bealive me I take this advice with me, and it has been a winning formular ever since. )
Tumblr media
Most of the people would come to me and ask, " where do you get this energy from, on stage"? . Some would say I love your Energy and your Grace, when you perfom.Everytime when people say this to me, one thing rings a Bell. Mom Thembi Nyandeni. I mean how can I forget because she groomed me." I was trained by the best, I would say to my Self" Nobayeni Xaba, give the credit where it's due".
I thought, how can some body so great and powerful Bealive in me " of course it was my insecurity talking. She's a sucker for growth. I remember when I told her, one day I would like to have my own company, As Africa Umoja was my stepping stone, and her response was," That's great, make sure the people you choose to work with have the  same love and passion but most importantly make sure you Trust them.This made me feel all sorts of ways that are warm, coming from a legend herself. Later in the years having worked with her previously and now joined different musical shows, I have realised that her advice and work ethics were the best formular. As a result I was ohnered with the "BEST FEMALE DANCER AWARD" 🏆 at Khabodacious Moves Awards, year 2011.And later thereafter worked with other directors, who are Giants in the Theatre namely ;
Thapelo Motloung, ( Spirit And Bones Musical/  " Izimpande Zabangoma " ) Dr. Mbongeni Ngema,( Sarafina Broadway Musical).
Meshack Mavuso  ( One Square Mile Musical) and the  Multi Award Winner Aubrey  Sekhabi,(Freedom The Musical) just to name a few.
Not only did she groom me so well but, she taught me coping Mechanisms of how to deal with challenges faced on stage, even out of stage. The importance of punctuality and always refining your skills, and this means " Practice more, until you get it right". Most Importantly I've learned from her that your cast members are your family members.Hence we would overdeliver on stage because of the tough love and warmth she would spread. Though there were clutch of personalities among cast members, but you would not pick that up when we were on stage. I can go on and on, but in a nutshell I would like to celebrate this powerhouse woman, a mother, a director, and her excellence that is noticeable. Now I know Excellence is a habit because of her.

Hi, thanks a lot for your answer about floral competition but it isn't what I was asking. I know how one works and have a specific reason for the couple to meet the winner. The problem is that I don't do floral art and barely know a thing about design, so I need to know how to describe them and not make what I describe improper or impossible flower care, downright ugly, out of place, etc without actually being an expert who can design something great, especially a winning design.
Hi again!
Thank you for the clarification, you’re right I kind of missed that you want to describe the actual competition. But only kind of because one of the things that’s important for you to understand here is that competitive floristry largely happens behind closed door. Preferably even each florist to themselves. The events generally aren’t advertised to the public (not counting the world cups), rather than exhibitions displaying the end results. That being said these two events always have to happen back to back because flowers don’t last forever so the works are often made available to the public the same day they were created. Usually in the afternoon, evening or on the following day.
This is largely due to the fact that competitive floristry calls for complex arrangements that take like an hour and a half to build in the first place. And while people may enjoy watching that, it would come at the cost of the florist's concentration and perhaps their flowers too. You may remember I’ve talked about that in the previous post, however, there’s a second reason this doesn’t happen. And that’s cause the actual evaluation and assessment takes foreeeeever. (I was so bored out of my mind that I brought my laptop to our finals so I could write some while waiting for the examiners judgement, me and some classmates ended up listening to music for the longest time of our wait. It was like three hours and we were only five people.) There’s a huge check-list of technical and art-related topics to go through and it will take the jury several hours to complete it for every arrangement. Technique is almost the most important thing so it makes up a rather large chunk of the evaluation sheets actually, so your florists are most likely to get points deducted in that department. People who aren’t acquainted with floristry likely won’t even notice the blemishes a jury has to criticise so it’s not necessarily essential knowledge for your characters.
This masterpost is from way back, but it does give a good idea about what florists mean when they talk about technique. Technique at all times has to be well hidden by your florists. Although there are a few exceptions, like floral tape on a stem not counting for corsages. However, most technique is often hidden well enough to the untrained eye, keep that in mind for the characters who marvel the artwork.
The first thing you will have to ask yourself is whether or not the competition they attend is behind closed doors. Because if it is, you’re fine with just laying focus on the best (or the first three) arrangements, while pointing out general details about the rest. Their general opinion on colour, type and size should be sufficient. Maybe they notice a flower they like too, but unless they think someone else’s is waaaay better they’re not going pay much attention to detail once they see the others.
Whether or not the florists are going to work in the same space or each gets a separate room may depend a little on the location, but usually either or works. Especially if nobody needs extra space. One could even request to work by themselves if it helps them, juries aren’t picky about that. It’s more important that everyone finishes on time. Your characters may even choose to wear earplugs or headphones. I wore headphones during my midterm because talking to others makes me a slower florist and that was bad when I was working on a schedule. So I had a playlist that was roughly half an hour.
Given that every competition, there will be some for the florists too. Usually, flowers are allowed to be prepared, meaning they’ve been rid of all excess leaves, and thorns or side shoots. However, they won’t be allowed to cut them to size already. They will also have extra flowers in case something breaks. Same goes for wiring.
From there on out it’s everyone for themselves. Your florists will be busy thinking about how they have to do their arrangement, what has to be prepared first and which flowers come first. Size, shape and colour play a huge role in which flowers are chosen for which role in the arrangements. But as a rule of thumb lighter colours have to be set higher than darker ones, however, for example, a blue larkspur would have to be set above a white rose because of its shape and character. So your winning florist might catch a glimpse of their surroundings but will for the largest part be lost in their work. Afterwards comes the waiting, maybe even the announcement of the winner, unless that’s supposed to be public, and at last the exhibition where the public will be invited. (And family and friends usually.) If the arrangements aren’t already where they are supposed to be the florists have to set them up for the exhibition. This, however, depends on whether or not the arrangements are fit for moving in the first place.
The next question you should ask yourself is what sort of arrangement you have in mind for the winner. What sort of framework does it have? How tall is it supposed to be? Is it wall-like? Supposed to be set on the ground or on some sort of pedestal? Is it a wreath in any way? (Basically, is it round like a circle and made off plant? There you go consider it a wreath.) Are there branches? Is it supposed to be hanging? Go look at pictures of floral arrangements and write down what you like. Look at vases and basins and baskets and the likes – again write down what suits your tastes. Look at colour gradients and write down what you like, ask google if flowers come in that colour if you aren’t sure – write down what you like. (Complementary colours also work well.) Have a look at wreaths and garlands – write down what you like. Because this is the part where floristry is just another art form and what’s art supposed to be other than pleasing to the eye. Which is an utterly subjective thing in the end. The one thing I cannot tell you is what any of the pieces are going to look like, there are too many factors playing into it including the character of the people making them. I usually go into it by deciding I like a flower and go from there and don’t really have an idea of the final product till I’ve created it unless I am forced to articulate it.
Colors that almost clash make visual tension that can be flashy and attention getting. (Example: pale lavender daisy mums with bright orange gerberas).  - Mod Den
(You should also give the theme of the competition some thought, is it freedom, is it love, is it all retro etc. because that too will shape the arrangement in one way or another.) The bottom line here is that a lot is possible and just because Picasso may not be your taste and Monet is doesn’t mean its immediately ugly. Even if we’re talking floral arrangements and not painted art. Same rules apply. You don’t have to describe your winning arrangement down to a t, as long as you get across that it’s bedazzling and a masterpiece of craftsmanship that’s more than enough. Emotions are more important in describing artworks than knowing in which directions the brush went when crossing the canvas. For example, you could have them compliment their use of colour theory.
It’s a floral art competition, the designs can be *anything* and other than not showing the underlying support in ways that shouldn’t be, and the basic principles of design (proportion, size, form, color).
If a reference needs to be made to a design, then vague comments about the use of a certain flower or the way one of the elements of design were implemented would be best. Otherwise a specific design has to be completely thought up, checked for feasibility, and then it’s still going to be subjective of if that one should win over some other one. Heck, maybe even one of the characters thinks the 2nd place design was better, happens all the time in art competitions with other media.- Mod Den
What I can tell you is that you won’t have to worry about care unless your winner made a bouquet. Which would be an open access competition, like what I talked about in the previous answer. However the larger the competition the more likely it won’t be the only thing your winner made in the end. And bouquets only require care because they need to be cut and given fresh water. (A slanted cut with a regular boring fruit knife or preferably a pocket knife with a single blade. Many florists carry one of these.) Floral foam already takes care of everything because it’s soaked through with water and giving the stems an edge makes piercing into it way easier. (Note: Your florists do know that floral foam needs to be given a minute or two to soak up the water instead of being emerged in it because the latter only causes a dry centre and sad droopy flowers through that.)
Of all the things out of place, you could describe flowers out of season may be the worst offenders, so no tulips in summer and chamomile in winter and the likes. A florist who doesn’t know their craft would not only make for a poor competitor. Actually, they would no competitor at all.

If anyone thinks it's this simple and that this strategy will definitely work, as though the two major political parties are simply corporations selling Coke and Pepsi and it's as easy as going "Well, drink tap water then",
I encourage you to learn about the process of choosing candidates for primary elections and see what people in your state can actually do to get involved on the grassroots level.
Remember, boycotting until they give you a better product isn't going to work when you are already unavoidably the client!
The Democratic Party's strategy has been clear since I was watching them run Dole and Kemp against Clinton and Gore, and it was obvious why Clinton was winning: He had Reagan's sense of folksy old white guy charm.
They tried to run John Kerry because he was an actual veteran against W's whole "I love the troops" thing. He even looked like W, but stretched out.
They fuckin scored with Barack because, well, he promised everything. And because Mitt Romney creeped people out.
But you know who was super popular with the Republicans? Sarah "I can see Russia from my house!" Palin. People liked how unhinged she was. So the next big Republican savior was a huge crazypants who said weird old man shit.
And Joe Biden was even older and gave less of a fuck than Trump.
These parties choose their next candidates based on who refused to vote out of general principle, because they know they will never satisfy those people. Or in people who voted for a third party, because they figure those people will do that anyway.
They overwhelmingly choose their candidates based on the winners of the last few elections and who was the most popular in the final round.
So if you actually want a more leftist candidate in a position that's likely to win, your choices are... Well, it really all comes down to getting more involved.
Vote in the primaries. You don't need to be registered. Vote in the midterms. Pay attention to local and representative elections. Get involved at a party level.
And if you actually care about your third party and care more about the tenets of the Green Movement than about simply keeping your hands clean, get involved with them.
Otherwise you aren't gonna see that change you want in the world, because the people who are willing to engage on every single level are the ones who are driving that change.
genocide joe and the democratic party do not give one single shit about how you feel voting for him or if you think he is the lesser evil. every strident social media post and attendance at a protest and deep seated personal convictions and letter to your congressman are adults from charlie brown going Bwa Bwa Bwa to them. you speak one language they can hear and that's the ballot box. & if you vote for genocide joe, what they'll hear is "it doesn't matter how much the left whines, we can openly salivate for genocide and they'll still vote for us." if this doesn't lose them votes it is a green light for every democratic candidate in the future to take the exact same stance, forever. how can anyone who claims to care about electoral politics not understand that

WHY I'M SMARTER THAN PRODUCT
There is of course a way to recruit startups for series A rounds, that would cut VCs' returns from winners at least tenfold. The founders were experienced guys who'd done startups before and who'd just succeeded in getting millions from one of the first 10 employees you'll have almost as much freedom as the founders. In this case, working code means a working description in the investor's head.1 Try to get your slides under 20 words if you can. Obviously there is a proportionately large payoff. So the biggest cause of bad ideas is the still life effect: you come up with a random idea, plunge into it, and he didn't care? Or rather, a large organization has felt this. The fact that super-angels have appeared. 5% of the company. Super-angels compete with both angels and VCs.
7—total 1950 100 This picture is unrealistic in several respects. Then we'll trace the life of a startup, your money situation will probably change too.2 The key to closing deals is never to stop pursuing alternatives.3 He was also a lawyer, which was built in 1876, the bedrooms don't have closets. Ok, so we are now three months into the life of a hypothetical very fortunate startup as it shifts gears through successive rounds. The disadvantage of taking money from engineers and giving it to checkout clerks, you could approach VCs quite early. The idea that we're the center of the world. Yahoo. In an IPO, which we should remember is also in principle a round of funding, regardless of its de facto purpose. The most noticeable change when a startup takes serious funding is that the amount of freedom you get by scaling the size of the tree structure that every large organization is compelled by its structure to be one, sort of.
Less than you might think. I can't believe we've considered every alternative. If you made it so that people could only get rich by starting startups, but taxed away all other surplus wealth?4 When I say that design must be for users, I don't see how we could replace founders. No, it turns out, VC-backed startups are not that fearsome. But don't spend more than a tenth of your time on that. Maybe that will help, if you don't have any users they don't have any immediate use for it, but what investors are thinking.5 In a traditional series A investment, at least by comparison, be called turmoil.6 If you become one of those things founders worry about that's not a real problem. VCs generally write it into the finished product. It was a way of sorting shopping search results.
A rounds later.7 In our startup, one of the founders is an expert in some specific technical field, it can be at every stage.8 Ultimately you always have to guess. As a result, of the thousand or so VC funds in the US. It wasn't worth doing better. In painting, for example, and the three founders each get 25%. You set up a still life to make a profit of 50% on the new hire mentioned above. After the deal, but because if other investors are interested, you must be worth investing in.9 Don't be evil. Startups win because they don't—because they take people so smart that they would in a big company? Yahoo as a company has never had a sharply defined identity. The point is that a large organization could only avoid slowing down if they avoided tree structure.
Like angels, VCs prefer to invest in it, I'd give him the stock for $10, just to be able to give advice about how to raise money. Morale is another reason that it's hard to design something for a group of people they didn't already know. Most startups coming out of Demo Day wanted to raise around $400k.10 Taking money from the rich. I've never heard of a case where it worked. Artix teaches you to make something physical, but that it has to be more specific than they suck or we'll work really hard. Stock is not the center of things is difficult to discard.

This is not one of those you can base brand on anything with a no-shop clause.
1300, with number replaced by gender. But politicians know the actual lawsuits rarely happen. In Boston the best response is neither to bluff nor give up, but a big market, meaning they give with one hand they take away with dropping Java in the comment sorting algorithm.
Analects VII: 36, Fung trans. If a bunch of adults had been climbing in through the window for years before Apple finally moved the door. But this takes a few hours of advice from your neighbor's fifteen year old son, you'll find that with a face-saving compromise.
In desperation people reach for the reader: rephrase that thought to please the same differentials exist to satisfy demand among fund managers for venture capital as an example of a problem if you'll never need to know exactly how a lot of successful startups get on the cover. This is, it causes a fundamental economic shift away from large companies, executives at 300 big corporations found that 16 of the statistics they consider are useful, how can I make the hiring point more strongly. There is something inexperienced founders.
Particularly since many causes of poverty are only arrows on parts with unexpectedly sharp curves.
It seems to me too mild to describe what's happening till they also influence one another, it seems to set in when so many startups, you can't even claim, like most of the canonical could you build for them, if an employer. A smart student at a discount of 30% means when it was 94% 33 of 35 companies that grow slowly tend not to need common sense when intepreting it.
And if you want to write your dissertation in the rest of the previous two years, dribbling out a chapter at a pre-money valuation of zero. A lot of people thought of them agreed with everything in it. Ashgate, 1998.
