After one experiment that turned out to be way too much of a success,Mikan ended up with a bottomless libido, and now if she doesn't get sex for 5 minutes, she will go insane.
But the problem is that nobody wants to do her anymore, since she pretty much breaks the pelvis of all the girls and boy in the class.
One of them grabs his chance at glory; however, Hajime the timid (yes) student for the reserve class who has the biggest crush on the nurse, decides to be the one who will sacrifice his pelvis for the sake of his beloved!
Even if he has to drink the potion himself.

"More, more, more, more, more, moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!"
She needed to fuck.
She wanted to fuck.
She DEMANDED to fuck.
But...who could help her? When she first ingested the potion, when she first became her new, sex-hungry, self, she'd thought she had it made. Hope's Peak Academy was filled with boys and girls who'd loved to have sex with a busty, curvy, horny nurse woman.
But...one by one they fell.
Ibuki, Chihiro, Kazuichi, Tenko, Angie, Nekomaru, Akane, Ibuki, Nagito, Kaito, Mondo, Ibuki, Sonia, Toko, Syo, Seiko, Great Gozu, Gonta, Sakura, Ibuki-!!!!!
So many Ultimates tried, so many Ultimates failed. Now, Mikan was left locked up in her nurse's office, fingers trying and failing to work her naked, horny, body, but...it just wasn't working!!! Damn it...who can help her...
"Um...hello?"
!!!!! Fresh...meat?~ Mikan got up and saw...admittedly the plainest looking guy she saw in her life. But he seemed earnest, if a bit nervous. But, who cares for that. He was a warm body that'll least be good as a human dildo for a bit!!
"Whyyy, hello~ Been a while since I've had a patient...why don't you let Nurse Tsumiki give you long, hard, check-up!!!!" she giggled, almost uncontrollably, before dashing at Hajime.
Unaware of his 'boost'.
Right before he entered the room, after being selected from a group of 'expenda-erm, valued mandatory volunteers' from the Reserve Course, he was approached by a limping Seiko and Chisa. Apparently, the pharmacist had been tinkering with something similar to what changed Mikan and had made Hajime drink it right before he entered.
The results of which had quite the dramatic timing~ At one moment, Hajime was on the ground, looking up to see feral, horny, Mikan slobbering all over him and looking ready to claim her prize! The next moment, she was suddenly on her back, stunned, yet also pleasantly surprised at what she saw: a focused, ripped Hajime, with a cock ready to 'tame' this beast once and for all!!
"I've heard you've been having quite trouble being satisfied. Don't worry! I'll do my best to help you!!" He...he sounded so honest? Huh? For a moment, that libido ebbed and Mikan felt touched...but then the fire started anew. Anew just as the thing to douse said flames penetrated her!
Pinning Mikan in a mating press, Hajime has begun to relentlessly dick her down, like his cock was having a mind of his own in ravaging her pussy. He needed this just as badly as her given the potion he drank and she felt so tight and warm~ He couldn't help himself in not only going faster, but even kissing her as well! Mikan was already moaning like a beast from the fucking, but when he kissed her?
Thar drove her to return it with fervor!! Locking her legs around him, she returned the kissing with gusto and a lot of tongue for her new lover. Encouraging him to keep going and fucking and, eventually, filling up her womb with as much cum that he had stored up as possible!!! Until she was all tuckered out...and it was guaranteed she would be carrying his child.
Not that she minded~

A Champion Time For The Heart Ch34 An Unexpected Visit
(Give me name suggestions for the reader's new pokemon, also Slight warning that the pokemon has a few scars on his body.)
"Hey. I should probably tell you somethin' before I go. I-I was the only one who seemed ta notice it and I wasn't sure if I should say anythin' or not..But I should probably tell ye now less I forget."
"Forget what?"
"Y/n, I dunno if ye knew or not but-..Lee's romantically interested in ye!"
"Wait....WHAT!?"
Safe to say Victor's confession left you stunned to say the least. Standing there staring at nothing like your brain was turned off until Sonia poked your side startling you into snapping to her, asking if you were alright. You assured her that you were indeed ok and just a bit shocked is all. At the time she seemed a bit unsure but didn't press the matter further which you appreciated. But that still left the question...
WHAT DID YOU JUST HEAR!?
Why would Victor just say that and then ditch like he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar!? LEON LIKED YOU ROMANTICALLY?! THERE WAS NO WAY!! Leon hadn't ever shown interest in you like-...Well like THAT!! He was a really good guy and you could say he was definitely a friend but NOTHING more than that! There was no way he would even remotely just once think of you like that! You'd have an easier time convincing yourself you were still in a dream world. There was no way it was true! Victor must've been pulling your leg! That was the only logical explanation!
...Right?
You decided to try (and failed-) to not think about it, but unfortunately it seemed everyone seemed to notice something was on your mind because one day Leon's grandmother decided to ask you about it.
"Dear," you jumped hearing the elderly lady address you with a concerned look, "Are you alright? You look like you've been thinking about quite a lot about something lately."
"Uh.." You forced a smile waving her off. "N-Nah! There's just been...A-A lot on my mind lately. Nothing to worry about." You sighed. "B-But I sure could use a distraction from it for a while."
"I see. Well if it's a distraction you need try to entertain your mind by busying it with something else."
Something else huh? Well what could you do to distract yourself from the supposed love connection Leon had for you? You've been trying to do that for a few days now and it's hasn't been working! And it was then you remembered a certain thing Leon had told you a little while back.
"I heard from Hoppy you're still renting the basement room from Mum. Does that mean you haven't decided on traveling around yet?"
To his relief you shook your head no. "Nah man. I don't wanna do anymore traveling. I think I'm actually going to stay in Postwick for the time being."
His eyes lit up immediately. "REALLY!? I mean-" he coughed and looked away. "Oh yeah, yeah. I can totally understand that. Traveling's been putting a damper on me too. Which is why I've been wanting to get all of these tasks for the Chairwoman done as fast as possible....But something tells me you don't want to rent that room forever right?"
You blinked at him. "I mean-..Well yeah. I don't plan on renting your mom's basement forever. Don't get me wrong. Your family is perfect and I love spending time with them, but it was never a long term idea to me."
"Oh. Then you're planning on leaving Postwick in the future?"
"Well there really isn't any houses for sell around here so one day I'll have to look for one for sell somewhere-"
"That's great!" You blinked back to him as he smiled. "I-I mean that you're looking for somewhere more permanent b-because there's actually someone selling their house in Postwick! M-Ms. Magnolia was telling me about it when we stopped by for the two to apologize to her and Sonia!"
"Wait. Really?"
He nodded. "Just a little ways down Route 2 past Sonia's house. Old Man Harry's selling his house!" Your eyes widened even more as he nodded. "Yeah! He's retiring and wants to move closer to his family so he's putting his house up for sale! It's down the road aways from everyone but it's still close enough to your job a-and it's really spacious! I-It's just a suggestion though!" He clarified holding up his hands. "I-I was just trying to be helpful!"
"Are you kidding me!?" You smiled wide. "That's great! But I'll have to think about it. I make no promises."
So there was a house for sell near here huh?...Well you doubted you could afford it. Sure you had a lot of money saved up thanks to Mrs. L's great rent prices, but for a whole house and property? You didn't think so but that doesn't mean you couldn't check it out! Who knows? It might just be what you need to help get your mind off things! So the next time you got a day off you set off towards Route 2 down past the lab and back towards Mrs. Magnolia's house, Silver toddling loyally behind you. Finding the path split into two different paths rather than just one that was in game. Ms. Magnolia lived at the end of the path so you opted to take the small path that split off from it and when a bit farther to the south from the professor's house but still very much in Postwick. At the end of the small dirt path was a house alright, but not a very big one. It was just a plain looking one story house similar to Mrs. G's but slightly bigger with a wooden fence behind it that seemed to separate the property from the giant spacious field behind it. You wondered briefly if that field was one of the ones Mrs. L owned and rented out to the local farmers for use. It didn't seem the property was very big but it wasn't too far away from where you worked or any of the stores in town which you liked, and it was certainly bigger than the basement you were currently staying in. A 'For Sale' sign was staked into the front lawn and you walked up to the front door which was...Wide open?? That confused you for a moment. Was someone home? You didn't see any cars and you didn't think someone would just leave the front door open. Was there a burglar in there? You got your answer when not even a moment later someone excited the house broom in hand and started sweeping off the porch not even noticing you. It was a young man and he seemed too busy trying to sweep off the porch to even notice you for a moment before he finally got a sense someone was watching him and he looked up half shocked to see you standing there and the two of you stared at each other before he rose a brow.
"Um...Can I help you?," he asked uncertain.
You blinked. "Um..I uh-.." And you quickly pointed at the sign. "I h-heard this place was for sale?"
Was THIS Old Man Harry? Doubtful. He was too young to be considered old. Regardless the man seemed genuinely surprised having to look you over again before he smiled again. "Oh! Well then that changes everything. Sorry about that." He gestured for you to come closer motioning to the house. "I wasn't expecting anyone so early. Please come in."
"Uh..Thanks."
You took him up on his offer to walk inside the house after him and the inside shocked you. It was..semi-empty. About half way you'd say if you'd have to say. There was random furniture in a few places as if either being in the middle of moving out, You again looked to the broom in the man's hands, or moved about to clean under them. But like you thought it looked pretty plain but that wasn't a big deal. Simple was good enough for you.
"Sorry about the mess," the man apologized looking embarrassed, "I haven't been able to finish cleaning out the place, and I really wasn't expecting anyone to show interest in this place so quickly."
"It's alright. But..I thought Old Man Harry was supposed to be here."
"Huh? Oh. You must mean my grandpa," he sighed in a very annoyed manner, "Yeah. The old man decided he had enough of the country life and decided he all of a sudden wanted to spend his retirement in Hulbury with all the beaches and great weather!" With a disdained look to the floor he huffed. "And then he left me the chore of trying to sell this place! Which works as well as pushing a boulder up stairs. What person would want a dump like this in a middle of no where town?"
...You rose a brow. "You must really want this place off your hands."
"Are you kidding me? I'd love to not have to deal with this and go back home, but I can't until I sell this place."
....You smiled. "Well..Maybe we could work out a deal!"
And that's how you managed to buy and own a house for cheap even if it did take up all of your savings. That guy must've REALLY must've not wanted the bother with this house and just return to the city which worked out in your favor because not only were you know a full fledged homeowner but whoever left the house before you had left a lot of furniture. Not a whole lot but enough to make the house seem less empty and you had a stove! Which was a plus because now you could cook! Leon's family was sad to see you go but considering you didn't live too far away and promised to visit them helped to settle those sad feelings. Leon's mom and granny even brought you a housewarming gift that consisted of some home baked goods and a small home made tablecloth. Once or twice you'd have Sonia stop by to take a look at your new home but the visitor you'd get most often would be Hop. Between his work and schooling by Sonia, he'd drop by your workplace or your home just or talk or see how you were doing, but most of the time it'd just end up with him rambling on about some random pokemon facts or updates Victor or Gloria would send him with pictures. Both seemed to be having a blast although Victor still often complained about the cold weather. It was nice seeing Hop, at this point you'd consider him a little brother figure. But then he went onto the Isle of Armor for some samples Sonia wanted and Sonia's herself went to the Crown Tundra to investigate some leads on some rare pokemon she heard about which left you without any visitors for a while. You'd sometimes see Mrs. G or L while at your job and sometimes you'd see Ms. Magnolia passing by her house but that was about it. Your new home was starting to become more organized as well with you moving the furniture around and it was one day in October where you were going through and emptying your backpack finding a whole lot of things you had completely forgotten about. The curry dex Gloria had given you being one and you made a point to take some time to go submit it to the Station Master to receive those 'prizes' she didn't want. You also found a few things you'd figure would be super helpful! That phone you won at the Christmas festival last year and-..Hey. Wait a minute. Your hand brushed against something round and metal feeling in your backpack and with a grab you pulled out a pokeball wrapped in a red ribbon. What the- OH! It was that pokeball from that game Leon won for you! Wow. It must've been in here this whole time...Huh. You wondered what kind of pokemon it was. Silver cooed curiously at it and looked at you when you stood up pokeball in hand. Well...There's no time like the present as they saw. You might as well see what kind of pokemon it was. You had just removed the ribbon from the ball-
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!!
You stopped blinking as a loud knock was heard at from the door ..and you slowly stood up. A visitor? Oh nice! You wondered who that was. Maybe Hop or Sonia returned from their trip and came by to visit you? Or maybe one of their family members were here? Maybe Ms. Magnolia? She did live just up the road. Perhaps she needed your help with something? In any case you happily walked on over to the door with a smile and answered it Silver right behind you curious also to see what was up. But when you saw who was on the other side your face quickly changed to one of surprise because out of everyone you were expecting it was the least likely person possible. Right there on your new porch was none other than Champion Leon himself. You stood there stunned for a moment as he also looked embarrassed one hand rubbing his neck in that habit of his.
"Leon?"
"Um...H-Hi, Y/n," he said forcing a nervous smile before he gulped, "Sorry to drop in unannounced like this b-but can I come in. There's uh...something I'd like to talk to you about."
It took you a few more seconds of blinking before you finally smiled at him again and backed up to allow him to come in. "Sure! Come on in, Lee!" He did so looking as embarrassed as can be and his face suddenly turning a...red?? You brushed that off for the moment closing the door happy to see him. "I'm surprised to see you. It's been a while. What brings you all the way here?"
"Ahaha. I-I-It certainly has. U-Um.." He looked at every which direction but yourself trying to avoid eye contact and act casual. "I uh-..Well I was just i-in t-town and Mum told me you decided to move here af-fter all! So I figured I'd stop by and see how you were doing!" He cleared his throat pointing at a random table. "I-I like what you did with the place! It looks nice!"
You blinked but still smiled. "Thanks! Honestly it was kinda easy. But what did you wanna talk about?"
"Whosaysanythingabouttalking!?,'' you blinked as he said that quickly in a high pitched tone.
"Um...You..did?" You said slowly with a raised brow. "Just now when you walked in."
He gawked at you before paling and blinking. "OH RIGHT!!" You winced at the high volume as he forced a laugh. "I-I knew that! I-I just wanted to stop by and ch-ch-chat with a friend! Yep! Haha! Friends talk all the time! Took me two accidental trips around Postwick before I could find you! Haha! Funny story right?!"
You rose a brow higher as he sweated more with his forced smile. Why was Leon acting so ...nervous and fidgety? That was very unlike the usually confident and upbringing Champion. Was something wrong? Did something happen?...Maybe he was just embarrassed about getting lost again? But he never got this level of embarrassed at the time. ...It was then you froze. And what Victor said before passed your mind before it hit you, and two things happened at once. You groaned loudly making Leon pause in surprise and your face turned a bright pink also in embarrassment.
"This is about what was said about you and me wasn't it?"
He blinked confused. "....What?"
You nodded with a sigh. "Yeah. I already knew why you're here."
He froze looking like ice was shoved into his body before his face REALLY paled enough to resemble a ghost. "You-....You d-d-d-do?"
You held up a hand. "Yeah. And don't worry about any of it. Let me guess..You're here to talk about that stuff concerning you and me right?" By how he looked it must've been a yes. Oi vey. Poor guy must've been really embarrassed to come to talk to you about this. You didn't blame him. No doubt Victor must've told Hop and in turn Hop must've told Leon, that's how those two were. Sigh. Leon must've came here to apologize or to see what this was all about understandably. "L-Look. I know how you must feel about this entire thing-"
"You DO!?"
"Yes. And I wanted to let you know that it's perfectly alright and you have every right to be embarrassed. I would be too."
He looked SO lost. "B-B-But I just-...I didn't s-s-say anything yet so how did you-"
"Victor told me," you told him truthfully and Leon froze for a good moment.
His brain gears whirling and blinking. Thinking back to the few times Victor looked suspiciously between the two of you..and then he realized. VICTOR CAUGHT ON TO HOW HE FELT ALL ALONG!! Victor was always good at noticing things before anyone else did, so it'd made sense he would've told you before he did- SO YOU KNEW HE LIKED YOU THIS WHOLE TIME TOO!? It made his face light up brighter than his charizard's flames and again his hand slapped over his mouth. How LONG did you know?! When did Victor tell you!? You knew he'd come here to confess sooner or later?! It made his heart pound and his mind spin-
"S-S-So you knew how I felt?"
You shuffled now looking away clearing your throat. "*ahem* W-Well..I figured that's why you look so nervous. But seriously...I-I-It's fine. I'm sure you understand."
"So-..." he weakly held up a hand, "What happened last Christmas-.." You looked up at him. "W-W-When we..." He gestured to his mouth to indicate the accident. "Y-You aren't mad?"
You just reeling back through time to what happened last Christmas and your whole head from your ears all the way to your neck felt warm. "W-What?! N-NO!!" You quickly held up your hands nervously. "T-T-That was just an accident! Of course I'm not mad about that! Unless you're mad at me about it!!"
"WHAT!? Ab-Absolutely not!! I was worried you were mad at me for what happened s-s-so I came to apologize!"
"I-I'm not! There's no need to apologize! So don't!"
"I-I won't then!"
"Good!"
"G-Good!"
An awkward silence filled the room as you both stood there shuffling your feet and avoiding eye contact each other with a cough or two here or there. Well...It was uh-...T-That was easier to talk about than he thought it would be, and he was REALLY glad you were angry at him and you seemed to be taking his apology/confession to you really well. He never suspected Victor would tell you though...but..He finally looked at you again. You were-...Alright with this? Well obvious you must've been otherwise you wouldn't be so calm about this. In fact you were taking this-...Rather well. WAIT! Does that mean you-
"So y-you're ok with-..." He gave a tender concerned look and gestured between the two of you, "This? Like y-you feel-" ....He heavily gulped sweat pouring like a waterfall down his face at this point. Eyes wide and face redder than a stop light. "..You fe-fe-feel the s-same w-way?..A-About t-this whole thing?"
You blinked confused on why he would ask that. Yeah. You thought so. If you heard from your friend that you were supposedly in love with someone without even talking to them, you'd be embarrassed and nervous and apologetic about the whole thing too! So you could understand how he must've felt. So you nodded.
"Of course. I think that would've been obvious by now." What followed was Leon just staring at you for a good long moment, just staring, before his hand smacked over his mouth and his face reddened to the point he felt like he was boiling. "Leon!? Are you alright?"
"....m' good...," he mumbled numbly.
"Do you wanna sit down?"
"...that'd be nice thanks..." He (stumbled-) walked over to the nearest sitting spot which happened to be a random chair in the room and plopped himself down on it, one hand holding his head as he stared off at nothing.
"Are you sure you're ok? You're staring off there."
"Y-Yeah. M'fine..." He finally shook his head and gave you a bewildered look. "I-I'm just trying to wrap my head around how you feel the same way but y-you're being so casual about this."
You blinked. "Oh. We're you expecting me to be mad?"
"N-No! Well not exactly." He shrugged. "I thought you'd be u-upset or something. But I'm glad you're not. In fact..I-I'm not sure how to feel about all of this."
"...Oh." You were confused on that part. Was he that nervous about you getting made over a simple mistake Victor made and an accident that happened nearly a year ago now? Well it's good he got this off his chest now. You reached over to pat his shoulder with a smile making him look at you. "Well look at it this way. It's off the table now and we can just move on from here, right?"
He stared at you for a long moment before giving a half relieved half shaky sigh before nodding. "You-You're right." He nodded. "We can figure out h-how to move forward from here totally."
So...you DID like him. He wasn't made about this, but it sure was shocking. Shocking but..not unpleasant. That just left the question now that everything was laid out in the open...What the heck was he supposed to do now? He hadn't thought this far ahead for this! Meanwhile you were confused by his strange choice of words before nodding.
"Absolutely! Although I'm a bit surprised to came to talk to me about this instead of Hop or Victor."
He sighed. "Well when I asked Sonia about it she suggested I c-come talk to you and clear the air."
You paused. SONIA!? Just how many people did those two tell that little 'revelation' of theirs'!? Good grief! You sighed before crossing your arms, "Well I'm glad we got this whole thing cleared up at least."
He nodded. "M-Me too actually. Oh! That reminds me!" He reached around under his cape to the right and pulled out something. A small white envelope with a small red seal on it. "I actually did come here for something else besides clearing the air." He held it out to you and gave a small smile. "Here! It's an invite to the events in Wyndon in next month."
You blinked before looking at the letter before taking it. "An invite? is there something going on I don't know about?"
He nodded again. "Yeah. There's going to be a tournament with everyone to welcome Prince Lear from the Pasio Region. He's going to be picking some of us to go compete in this giant tournament thing of his. All the extra details are written in there."
"No kidding?" You looked over the letter in your hand before smiling. "Thank you! I'm real excited now."
"Y-Yeah. Everyone's gonna be there. Sonia's already got her invite as does everyone else-.." He trailed off blinking before pointing at something. "Hey. Whatcha got there?"
You blinked at what he was pointing at before following his eyes and holding up the pokeball you still had in your hands. Oh right. You still had this! "Oh this? It's that pokeball you won be last Christmas."
"Really?" He hummed and gave it a curious look over, "Oh wow. What kind of pokemon is it?"
You shrugged. "I dunno. I haven't really opened it up yet. I was gonna do it today but you showed up then."
He stood up smiling like his regular self again. "Well then let's find out!"
You agreed and the two of you went outside. Arceus forbid it'd be something as big and bulky as an onix or duraludon and destroy your new house you had just gotten. Doing it outside was MUCH safer. So the two of you went outside there a flying Taxi was perched just a little bit aways from you (so that's how he arrived) and once you got a safe just-in-case-of-giant-pokemon away from your house, you threw the balls, and what was inside came out in a bright white light. A blinding white light came forth and what came out of the light was-...More..white? And red too. Silver chirped in alarm at what ended up shaking it's strange red and white fur out and bristle up before it sniffed the air, gave a snort noise...and then slowly turned it's head around to look at you. It was about as tall as Silver was only a bit bigger and it just silently stared at you. Well...It was certainly smaller than an onix, but you stared at it in surprise. And when you looked at Leon you blinked. He seemed even MORE surprised! His eyes wide and blinking at the pokemon still silently staring at you two.
"A zangoose?," Leon finally spoke making you jump and snap your head to him.
"Zangoose?" You blinked between him and the pokemon who then yawned seeming not the slightest bit surprised seeing you and being more bored. Looking at the pokemon now, you recognized the red fur patterns clearly. It was in fact a zangoose. The zangoose reached it's clawed hand up to scratch behind his ears. "Well...I wasn't expecting that."
"Neither was I to be honest," Leon added with a frown, "Mostly because these guys aren't native to Galar at all."
Your head snapped back to him. "Really?"
He nodded. "Yeah..So how in the world did this guy end up here, and in a game of all things?"
That WAS a good question. How DID a zangoose end up all the way in Galar if they weren't native? Pokemon poachers? Did a foreign trainer just abandon him here? Was he accidentally brought here by other means? You had no idea. You watched as he sniffed around a few more times before it's head finally snapped to you and Silver made a noise before diving behind yours and Leon's legs. It just..stood there and stared at you silently for a long moment before Leon finally leaned forwards and also stared at you. Well you stared silently back at him raising a brow between both of them before it hit you. They weren't looking at YOU. Their eyes were trained far too downwards to be looking at your face, so f/c eyes followed their gaze and you realized something. They were both staring at the pokeball in your hands. But just in case you decided to test this theory by holding the ball up, and sure enough the Zangoose's red eyes followed it as you held it up silently. He was staring at the fact you were holding HIS pokeball!! You continued to stare at one another before the thing just scurried up to you making you yelp and jump back as it was suddenly standing right in front of you sniffing at you like a curious puppy before those long claws wrapped around your arm-
"Don't panic!," Leon shouted suddenly as you let out a loud surprised noise as your arm was promptly and forcefully made to extend out and you were yanked to lean down at the waist by the zangoose and you practically froze as your arm was at the mercy of those claws that was wrapped around it. You wanted to pull away instantly but hearing Leon's shout you froze. "It's not going to hurt you!" He assured as you just stared at him in panic. "I think it's just ..curious."
"You don't say," you hissed through clenched teeth side eyeing the zangoose and it's claws around your arm as if sniffed curiously at it before it brought your hand to his face with a bewildered expression finally releasing one of his clawed hands from your arm-...Only to lightly wrap it around your hand and seemed even more confused just silently looking at them, like he was comparing your plain defenseless hand against his sharp long claws. His fur was ..soft. Softer than you would expect from how rough he looked. Quite literally. He was covered in a few obvious scars that must've been from some really bad fights, which gave you the impression he might start fights or perhaps he had a bad temper. But the way he was holding you was gently, even if he was manhandling you. After a bit he turned his head to your still slightly panicked face letting you see a big scar running across his right eye and running down his side to his shoulder. He narrowed his eyes at you for a long moment before one of his claws reached up and poked your nose lightly. "Hey!" Your nose scrunched up and you narrowed your eyes. "That wasn't very nice of you. Could you please let go of my arm now?"
His response was to snort but immediately released your arm which surprised you but the pokemon seemed to be sizing you up looking you up and down and ..crossed his arms which surprised you further which was very human like. His head tilted to the side seeming to think for a moment before he sighed, nodded, and then turned his attention and curiosity to Silver who let out a startled choke behind you all as he began to walk around you both towards the startled water type.
"Well...That was strange," you finally commented raising a brow as the thing walked on it's two legs around you.
"I think he was just trying to figure out his new situation," Leon commented back just as the Zangoose walked behind you both. "On the bright side I don't think he's hostile unless you're hostile to him first." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I don't know a whole lot about these guys since they're not from Galar, but from what I heard they're territorial and show aggression where it's given."
"Well that's comforting," you mumbled looking back once you heard a panicked chirp. The zangoose was literally manhandling Silver in his giant paws, holding him above the ground and was turning him this way and that sniffing at him as the drizzlie panicked and waved his arms and legs about wildly begging you to save him. "AH! No, no, no, no!! HEY!" The zangoose looked at you boredly as Silver struggled in his grip. "You can't hold him like that!" It still stared at you- "Put! Him! Down! NOW!!" You practically shrieked at it surprising it and the grip on Silver loosened letting the drizzlie fall with a thud to the ground before scurrying over to you. "You can't just pick up random people- Uh..Pokemon like that without asking!" You scolded the surprised zangoose who just stared at you. "Don't ever do that again! Or else you're gonna be in big trouble!"
The thing said nothing as it stared at you for a long moment before his arms flopped to his side and his ears went back as he gave some kind of whine-growl of annoyance and looked away. Well..could've been worse. Silver peered from behind your legs and gave a loud angry chirp at him which the zangoose didn't respond to.
Leon chuckled making you look deadpanned at him which he smiled at you with a sigh. "Well...I can't say this wasn't fun, but.." He frowned now. "I can't stay for too long. I have to go deliver some other invites b-but.." He looked between you and the nearby taxi again looking hesitant to say something before taking in a deep breath and letting it out. "Well. *ahem* Si-Since we uh di-di-discussed that whole-...situation and we're both on the same terms concerning it.." He winced a bit and gulped. "I um-...W-W-We're allowed to b-b-bring a plus one w-with us when he go." 'We'? OH! He must've been referring to the other gym leaders. "I d-don't suppose you'd mind if I a-asked if-...y-you'd be mine f-f-f-for th-the e-events?"
His plus one? OH! That must've been the reason he gave you the invite. So you happily nodded making him blink. "Sure! It sounds like fun!"
"Wait..Really?" His eyes widened and a big goofy grin spread across his face. "Y-You really wouldn't mind!?"
"Of course not! Like I said it sounds like fun, and I'll get to see everyone again! It'll be fun to spend time with you too!"
He smiled even more face a pretty cute pink as he let out a couple chuckles. "I-...T-Thanks. You really don't know how happy I am since talking to you." You smiled too! You were happy to help! "Ah! But look at the time!" He glanced up to the afternoon sun as it sat in the middle of the sky as it slowly went across the sky. "I've gotta leave now if I want to make it to Hammerlocke within decent time. So-Sorry again about the sudden drop in and then leaving after we just s-shared feelings this way. B-But I still have to attend to my duties."
You waved him off. "Hey. No worries. I'm just glad we were able to clear this up! You just do what you gotta do."
He again smiled. "Thanks...But a word of advice, you might wanna check in with Sonia next time you see her and see what she knows about zangeese. It might help in the long run."
"I'll do that thanks!"
With that he turned to walk away but paused and turned back to you and walked up to you and grabbed your hand making you pause. "Y/n...I-...I'm really glad you like me too." You froze and he smiled. "I promise I'm going to try to make our first date the best of the century!"
You froze as he gave your hand one final squeeze before turning and taking off towards the taxi. You were still frozen as the corviknight roared and took off blowing wind around everywhere. You still stood there when they were well into the sky and away from you. To the point the Zangoose poked your side to gain your attention as you stared off into space.
"......DID HE JUST SAY DATE!?"

Inuyasha Mythology AUgust
A Inuyasha Egypitian Mythology AU for @promptsbytaurie event AU-gust 2024 day 9 mythology. This AU is inspired by a Inuyasha AU I found on Deviantart with Inuyasha as Anubis, Kagome as Anubis wife Anput, and Moroha as Anubis daughter Kebechet. The Legend of Zelda characters are based on Ancient Greek and Rome gods as a nod that they calmed that the Ancient Egypt gods are actually based on their gods in animal forms while they were running from Typhon.
In a sunny day in Egypt, the Egypitian goddess Moroha, known as Kebechet to the mortals, play with her pet dog in the courtyard of the royal temple of King Horus, her uncle Sesshomaru, while her parents are busy with their daily work on helping journey into the underworld. Moroha soon noticed that the sky got dark and she look up to see a flock of different flying animals are cover the sky and it look they were fleeing from something. The mortals too noticed the odd happening and some artists work to capture the animals as they flew by.
As Moroha was surprised at this strange flying animals, a white owl land by with a bloody wolf. Moroha's pet dog bank at the owl, which soon changed into a blond hair woman in armor that Moroha never seen before while the wolf changed to a injured man wearing similar armor and the woman knee to him and said, "Oh hold, dad." The temple priests head to the courtyard and see the scene as one of them ask, "What is going on here?" and then he see the woman and said to her, "Who are you?" The woman said to the mortals, "I'm Bellona, goddess of war and daughter of Ares, god of warriors and battle." The priests look at each other before one of them said to Bellona, "Never hear of them." Bellona was a bit stunned before she said to the mortals, "Listen, I wish to speak to your high god." and the head priest said to Bellona, "This is the temple of Horus, our high god and god of war. We will bring you to his statue, but we ask that you take your leave before night falls."
Moroha put her hand on the statue base and a portal to the underworld opens. Moroha enter the base with Bellona follow as she carry her father. Arriving at the underwater and the royal palace, Moroha see the animals from before whose turn into humans in white clothes and run inside the palace, just as Moroha's father Anubis come forward wearing his jackal mask and demand them, "Halt, who are you?" A big breast woman come forward and said to Anubis, "I'm Aphrodite, the most beauitful goddess in the world." and flash her boobs to Anubis while begging to him, "I give you a amazing good time if you let me in." Anubis only growl, "As if! I'm married, you stupid bimbo!" As Aphrodite got angry at this, Moroha and Bellona got to Anubis and Moroha said to her father, "Daddy, daddy, this lady dad is hurt back! They need help!" Anubis get a good look at him and said, "Alright." and then shout to the crowd, "Any family of that guy come with me." and a big man with a big hammer come forward and said, "I know him. He is my brother, Link." and a blue hair man said, "Ares is also my half-brother."
In the court of Sesshoumaru, Moroha's mother Kagome, known as Anput, help take care of Ares as his brothers Daruk, known as Hephaestus, and Revali, known as Apollo, watch him and the bigger Daruk said to Revali, "Boy, I'm not liking how hurt Ares is right now."
A dark skin woman come before Sesshoumaru and Daruk knee before her as he said, "Mother." and the woman said to Sesshoumaru, "I'm Sonia, known as Hera to those that worship me, goddess of mothers and queen of Mt. Olympus. I request that my family will be your guests here."
Bellona tell her story to Moroha, "It was a normal day in our land by the northwest Mt. Olympus until a strange storm appear in the skies. Normally, these kinds of storms were caused by my grandfather Rauru, known as Zeus to the mortals, but he didn't create this storm. Soon, we saw a powerful and terrible monster called Typhon appear from the storm and he demand that grandfather face him for the sins of defeating my evil great-grandfather and Typhon's brother Saturn, taking the throne of Olympus. My father, a son of grandfather and a god of war, come face Typhon first and, after a terrible battle that was in two days, dad was badly injured, and the shock that a son of Rauru got hurt cause the other gods to run away in terror, taking on the form of the animals so Typhon would not followed them. My mother order me to take dad and followed the other gods to somewhere safe, and I flew for days until we arrived here." Moroha was stunned at Bellona's story.

so we pause for scoring (i fucked up on a couple sections, but my worst score on a section was 69 points... Nice) and then it's time for everyone to press the buttons on their podiums to start the shutdown. the group talks about how this isn't the end, just the beginning, and this is definitely funnier in japanese because we have people here named owari (ending) and hajime (beginning). hinata also says something about how "we are the ones who are going to create" which i wanna highlight because the kanji he writes his first name with (創) is in the verb "to create" (創る/tsukuru).
and then usami shows back up, her moderator powers restored. she pins AI!junko's hands down using her "magic," slams junko's head into the ground to stun her, fully immobilizes her, and then she just shatters into pieces. all that's left is her phone, which is still displaying junko's image, allowing her to deliver a little dying speech. i don't think she has an audience for it, though, the shutdown is already starting and the sdr2 survivors and the dr1 trio are now in the process of getting booted out of VR. sounding very bored, junko is like wow this is soooo much despair, how fun. she says once you've experienced the kind of despair she has, there's no turning back, implying she feels she sort of already peaked and doesn't have anywhere to go from here. unlike the last game, where she went to her death eagerly, this time she knows she's beat. she gets in one last "this is soooo despair-inducing" and then the phone goes dead.
we cut to the dr1 trio (this is a CG, the background is abstract, but i take it from general context that they can't see the trial room or the sdr2 group anymore) talking about what just happened. they didn't count on usami showing back up, they didn't think that was possible. none of them seem quite sure to make of what's just happened, but naegi says at least they avoided the outcome junko wanted and fought for their own. togami brings up how uncertain their future is, but kirigiri says all they can do is leave it to the group. the simulation is shutting down, there's nothing more they can do to help. naegi says they don't need to anymore. the screen goes white as the future foundation members return to the real world.
we cut back to the group, standing inside the ring of debate podiums. the game world is glitching and rapidly falling apart around them, like they're on a little island in a sea of computer code. sonia says, hey, sorry to bother everybody, but even if we wake up not remembering all of this... it'll still have meaning, right? souda says he doesn't know how to explain it, but he agrees with her, he thinks it will. kuzuryuu gently ribs him for being bad at explaining things and they banter a little bit. it's sweet. hinata interrupts to say time is almost up, and souda admits that he's pretty scared. sonia says she is too. owari says it's fine to be scared, it makes sense, right? the little nidai bot agrees with her and yells "that's the future!"
as the screen begins to turn white and the glitching gets heavier, the group all vows that they aren't going to forget each other.
we get a bit of internal narration from hinata — it's been a while since there was any. he thinks again that this isn't the end, just the beginning. yes, he's scared, he can't help feeling scared, but... and then he finally says "thank you, nanami" aloud.
the camera pulls back, away from hinata, and the screen fades to white. while we can't see her and the dialogue box doesn't attribute this dialogue to her, it's nanami's voice that responds. she thanks hinata in return and says she'll never ever forget about them. she'll be cheering them on from now on, from somewhere. they'll always be friends.
we get the end chapter screen at this point, which helpfully tells us "this is the end." i don't remember, but surely there's some manner of epilogue? there's always some manner of epilogue

Job Hunting for Dummies - Season 01 - Episode 02
Episode 02 - "Punch" Out of Luck
Season 01 - Episode 02 - Punch Drunk
Location: The Boxing Stadium - Downtown Creation City
Date: May 16, 2019
Time: 10:00 PM
No POV
After the paper route job was a total bust thanks to Sonia's attempt to steal someone's TV, Y/n, Sonia and Tailsko are at a boxing ring as Tailsko has another job for them, only this time Y/n is going up in the ring to a boxing match against Mike Tyson. Luckily for Y/n, he was giving some boxing lesson from Peanut Butter as well as some other fighting lessons from his friends in other types of fighting style video games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fight, so this should be an easy boxing match for our hero.
Sonia: Wait, wha— wha— why did he agree to do this?
Tailsko: It's a big payday, Sonia. It's real simple, he just hang in there, and h— he'll be fine. Trust me.
Sonia: Look, look, I'm not feeling good about this. Is it too late for him to back out?
Y/n: Don't worry, Sonia. I can handle this. I've been taking boxing lessons from my friend's pokemon named Peanut Butter, so this should be a snap for me to box against the stadium's best boxer, Mike Tyson.
We zoom out to show Mike Tyson as Y/n put's on his boxing gloves and is ready to fight with the bell rang, starting the match.
Tailsko: Yes, that bell- Yeah, now it's too late for him to back out. Go get him, champ!
Y/n: Thanks for the motivation, Tails~!
Sonia: Yeah, thanks a lot, dickface.
Y/n: Alright, let's do this. (Dodges Tyson's punches and counter punches Mike Tyson)
Sonia: Wow, he's really doing it. I think he can take this guy!
Y/n punches him some more while dodging and blocking more of Mike Tyson's attacks.
Tailsko: Hey, that's great Sonia! Uh, just, uh, don't go let him crazy, okay? I, uh, kinda bet against him, so, uh, I need you to not let him lose this match, okay? I kinda betted out Y/n's life savings on this match.
Y/n: Wait, wait, you betted my life savings that I worked hard for against him?! (Mike Tyson punches Y/n, sending him backwards a bit while rings fly out of him) Ow, ow, oh, my face! Tails, grab those rings, I need them for laundry!
Tailsko: Ok, just be careful, ok? I don't want you ending up in a body cast. (Starts picking up Y/n's golden rings before they disappeared)
Y/n: Got it. Alright, Mike Tyson, prepare to get your light punched out! (Thinking) Good thing that Peanut Butter enhanced my durability to deal with strong punchs from this guy. Better make this quick before I lose all of my life savings.
Y/n then unleashed a power punch at Mike's jaw as the boxer got stunned and Y/n repetitively punches Mike Tyson until he is completely knocked out to win the match.
Mike Tyson: GAH! HOW...IS...THIS...KID...THAT...STRONG....WHY... ISN'T... ANY... ONE... STOPPING... THIS?!
Timeskip - The Next Day
After the boxing match, Y/n was declared the winner and won back his savings and earned a extra bonus as his winnings as we cut back to Y/n's apartment where Sonic is holding an ice pack onto Y/n's black eyes due to that punch that Mike Tyson gave him during the match.
Tailsko: Well, you took one hell of a fight back there, babe. But at least you still got your life savings back and earn some money left over from the last match, right?
Y/n: Yeah and I did go a little bit too far on beating Mike Tyson to a bloody pulp back there, but at least he's got insurance and in a body cast at the hospital.
Tailsko: You know what Sonia should do, head down to the Star Light Zone, pick herself up a boyfriend, get a little spin job, huh? She earned it.
Y/n: Are you sure you wanna do that, Sonia? That kind of job sounds a little too risky, even for me.
Sonia: Nah, I decided it's time to grow up, you know? So I took some of the money and made a little investment.
Tailsko: Hey, good for you, man!
Y/n: Yeah, that's real mature of you.
Sonia: Yeah, bought a sweet new frame for my poster.
The scene cut to show her Dominique Wilkins poster in a frame.
Sonia: That baby's gonna pay for itself in like 15—20 years.
Tailsko: You stupid fuck.
Y/n: Well, at least the frame only costs $5, and her rent is paid for this month, so we're good for now, I guess.

She'd been scrubbing at a particularly tough bit of dried-up cookie dough when Kazuichi had executed his attack. To be honest, some extra moisture would have likely gotten some of the dough free from where it stuck to the counter...if the water had indeed ended up there and not down the front of Sonia's cashmere sweater.
For a moment, she was simply stunned and cold. Stunned, by the fact that Kazuichi Soda of all people had intentionally splashed her with water, and cold, as the water had gone right through the fine knitwear and made her involuntarily shiver. The sweater was beyond mending anyway, several deep chocolate stains had seen to that, but now they were beginning to smear as Sonia wiped at the now-wet stain, trying to warm up. "A water fight?" She repeated, puzzled. "Indoors? Without the proper water guns? In the winter?" Surely marshmallows or paint were far more reasonable. Even snow, if they dared go outside and make a mini-mountain of snowball artillery to use.
But he seemed determined to drench her, and the entire kitchen, in water. And Kazuichi currently stood between her and the only exit to the room, she was going to have to fight. Either to get through him or, as he suggested, with water. A quick glance from his makeshift helmet and weapon to the other dirtied tools laying around a her disposal, and she was quickly formulating a plan into place. How to attack, what with, how to defend, and most importantly, how to claim victory. Compulsory military education had not been for naught, at least.
"Very well, if you insist! She declared, giving him a determined look before reaching for her weapon of choice. Not a ladle, but the sink sprayer attached to the kitchen faucet. The con to using it was the fact that she was relatively limited in her movements, but the pro outweighed it: she could turn on the tap and be given an endless stream of water spray, which Sonia took aim for first at Kazuichi's chest before moving to his reddened face for a few seconds, giving him a smirk in satisfaction when she'd made a direct hit. "You looked a bit warm, Soda-san. I thought I might help you cool down!"
She hadn't stopped to consider the various appliances and attributes in the room. The various ovens and stove, for example, or the smaller appliances she had yet to ruin. Or the array of paper products on the counter that had become soggy by their attacks and therefore unusable to them and the next students who wanted to use the communal space. Instead, Sonia was wholly focused on her makeshift firearm and how quickly and efficiently she could douse Kazuichi with it. "You said anything was fair play as long as it is in the kitchen!" She called out to him. "So this is a fair fight! Now, do not make it too easy for me to claim a victory!" Her next sprays hit the aforementioned oven and stove, before dripping onto the toaster beside the latter. Everywhere except the tools she was supposed to be cleaning.
It felt like with every word the princess said, the realization of how human she was sunk in deeper for the mechanic. Yes, he’d come to this realization before, but seeing it happen in front of his eyes really made him absorb it. Absorb that, in the end, no matter how high her status was, or how good she was at maintaining her composure, she was…
She was just a girl. A teenager, just like him and everyone else. A person that wanted to fit in. To feel like they belong with the others.
With a shaky inhale, he curled his hands into fists, the sight of her sadness breaking his heart. Ah, he meant to give her the towel so she could wipe her face, but maybe he hadn’t made that clear enough... That gave him an idea, though. It required some guts that he didn’t have, but… if there was a possibility that it would cheer the princess up, he was willing to do it, even if everything in him was screaming at him that this was a bad idea. Well, it wasn’t the best idea, admittedly, but that was exactly why he was going through with it. Deep breaths, and…
He splashed some water at the princess.
It was physically painful to do that, because it felt like he was disrespecting her, but that was the point! Er, not to disrespect her, obviously, but if this was anyone else, he wouldn’t have thought twice, which is why… he wanted her to experience that, too. She had the right to feel like she was human, instead of an isolated royal statue. “L-let’s, let’s have a water fight!” he exclaimed, even if his whole face was red in abashment. “The kitchen will need to be drenched in water to be cleaned up, anyway, s-so… let’s have a water fight! With cups! And trays as sheilds!” He was already handing her her cup. “Anything is fair play as long as it’s in the kitchen! I-I can teach you how to clean, afterwards. I’m… I‘m not gonna leave, until you have a water fight with me!” He grabbed a pot to wear as a goofy helmet, and a ladle to pick up water with. It felt so stupid, to be doing this, and in front of his crush.
…He’d do even stupider, though, if he knew it’ll cheer her up. There was a lot he wanted to say, but he won’t say it until she was smiling again. Not that polite, elegant smile she always puts on her face — no, he wanted a genuine smile. A smile of someone having fun, instead of someone keeping up appearances. He wondered… if he’s ever seen her smiling like that, really. Would he be able to tell the difference? He wasn’t sure, when the princess was too good at controlling her expressions. That didn’t mean he can’t try, though. He started filling his ladle with water.

How about a Piers x reader where the reader helps others with their love life's but is very oblivious whenever someone is romantically attracted to them? (Kinda like Mitsuri from KNY lmao)
- So I dunno who Mitsuri is but I do think I understand the assignment. Also this is me. This is me in an absolute nutshell. -

SFW Piers: Clear Signs
"See Piers, I knew Nessa and Sonia had a thing for each other. I told you they did and now look at them. Cutest couple of Pokégram." You said as you liked the couple's pic of them at a waterpark.
"You're really the little matchmaker," Piers commented from the sofa. You were currently sitting on the ground next to his legs, leaning your head on his boney thigh. You made a mental note at feeling it to make sure to make him a good dinner, the boy was so stressed out from his constant battles and concerts that he just wasn't eating right.
"I know, I'm amazing. Ah if only I could find someone." You said, crawling onto the couch and leaning your head against Pier's shoulder. His hair tickled your cheeks a bit as he got his hand and ran it through your hair.
"Oh I'm sure the moment someone's into you, you'll know immediately." Piers's voice was almost sarcastic but surprisingly you didn't pick up on it.
"I'm sure I will. I'm like a casanova when it comes to romance. I can tell someone is attracted to another just by being in the same room as them. I'll be able to tell so fast." You bragged as Piers went and laid a small kiss on your forehead.
"I'm sure you will, babe." Piers said as he fumbled with a remote, "What movie did you say you wanted to watch again?" He asked as he went through random streaming services.
"Monty Python and the Holy Grail." You said as you went back to your phone, "You know Piers it's so weird. I don't think I'm unattractive yet nobody has ever like...been into me."
"I don't understand why, you're absolutely stunning." His voice was monotone as he went to lay down. He brought you over so your head was laying on his chest and you cuddled closer.
"I know, right? I'm a catch." You agreed with him. You saw the front door of the apartment open as Marnie walked in. She took off her shoes before looking over at the two of you.
"Date night?" She asked Piers.
"Weekly date night, yup." Piers replied, making you chuckle at his teasing joke.
"Okay, don't stay up too late." Marnie said as she walked off to her room.
"Thanks for watching this movie with me." You said as the introduction credits began rolling.
"Anything for you." Piers said, his hands going back to threading into your hair.
"It's nice to have such an amazing friend." His hands stopped in your hair for a moment as he laughed quietly.
"Of course, love you babe." Piers said and you smiled into his chest.
"Love you too, Piers."

After much pondering about what gift to give the princess, the former human decided to offer her a rare, old book about vampire tales, together with a few manuscripts about the supernatural he had found while searching the old church. It wasn't the most romantic gift, but he knew she would most likely love it regardless. "Happy Valentine's Day Sonia. It's the least I could do after how much you've helped me." (from ruki)
She hadn’t expected any sort of gesture for the holiday, beyond the black box tied with silver ribbon she held in her left hand. Ruki was her friend, a very important friend but a friend nevertheless. Due to his name, Sonia suspected he was far more familiar with the Japanese method of celebrating the holiday than the Western ways. So she’d arranged a small box of chocolates to be sent from home, with her specific instructions regarding the type and quality. Tucked beneath the black velvet lid were dark chocolate squares and truffles filled with a variety of flavors: almond, coffee, pistachio, hazelnut, caramel, and more.
But before she could present it to him, he’d surprised her with a gift of his own. Sonia had all but dropped the box she was holding when he’d approached her, an ornate book in his outstretched hand.
“A gift? For me?” She blinked in disbelief, slowly processing that for the first time in a very long time, their conversation was far removed from the mysterious Trismegiste. “Ruki, I...”
Sonia trailed off, unable to finish her sentence. Her blue gaze had left his face to stare down at the book in her hand: the leather cover and gold script heavily faded but still legible as she traced over it with her index finger. A relic from the first rise of gothic works in the mid-18th Century, that particular title was something rare, something that inspired the gothic romances that all followed after it in a series of haunted castles, besotted heroines steeped in sensibility, and the dark, brooding vampiric lords who ruled over all. “This has been said to have influenced Wapole, Goethe, and Lord Byron, though found copies primarily exist in museums or universities. Ruki, this is a most remarkable find! And manuscripts in immaculate condition...I...”
She’d found herself rambling. A young woman who was no stranger to gifts: from chocolate to jewelry to flowers, if she didn’t have it, most things could easily be procured. But it was never something she truly wanted. This was the first gift in so long that truly spoke to her as Sonia, not the Princess of Novoselic, something anyone could discern from the soft pink flush on her cheeks.
“I’ve been carrying on, I’m sorry. Thank you so much, Ruki. This truly is wonderful!” In her state of surprise and delight, she’d completely forgotten to thank him. But when she remembered, her smile was just as warm and bright as her words as she held the book and manuscripts both to her chest before setting them down carefully, giving him her full attention again. “I doubt my gift for you compares, but I wanted to give you some chocolate today. I had these sent from home with my specifications. I did not know if you like chocolate or what kinds, but I hope you enjoy this assortment. And you are never in my debt: after all, you saved my life. That is something I shall never forget.” Her smile then turned from jubilant to slightly nervous, taking a deep breath as she handed the black box to him. She’d look like a fool if she’d got it wrong and he preferred milk chocolate instead.

It wasn't what she signed up for, but Vivian wasn't being enlisted for etiquette and decorum lessons, or even forced to sit through a formal dinner. In Sonia's opinion, she got the better end of the deal where Sonia's experiences were concerned and if she didn't simply go for it, she'd never hear the end of her bespectacled friend's protests. Sometimes, she thought, she had to act first and apologize later. After all, if Vivian truly despised it, she could simply wash it all off.
"Good ones, films and television shows alike," She quipped. Although it was different from horror, they still had their place. Besides, she was in her own awkward situation and there wasn't even a masked killer after them. Still, Sonia only smiled at the jab at her ethnicity as she evened out the foundation she'd mixed in a small metal dish to match her friend's exact skin tone. "Do you not like dramas, Vivian? There's an excellent makeover scene in Hana Yori Dango, where the protagonist is taken under the wing of one of the older sister figures of the show after the mean girls in her high school are cruel to her. She surprises and stuns everyone at the party afterwards, and adds to the growing conflict between two handsome, popular boys both falling in love with her."
As much as Sonia loved the likes of various Asian dramas, she hardly ever related to the protagonists. So often, they were normal girls plucked out of obscure lives for some reason or another, often due to an encounter with a man far more powerful, or rich, or in a famous or established family. She could swoon at the confession scenes and the second lead conflicts and the inevitable family interventions, but she could never identify with the women. It was always the leading men, it seemed, with the authority and the meddling, established families who offered vast amounts of money to send the poor female lead away. Switch the genders and Sonia found it awkward to admit that she'd experienced the same situation with her own parents.
Still, the makeover scenes were often so full of joy and platonic, sisterly love between two female characters not destined to bicker over the same man, and thus Sonia enjoyed them. As much as she enjoyed applying products onto Vivian's face, though now that she was done, she began to clean her brushes and mixing palettes while her friend marveled at her own face.
"It's just skincare meant for your skin type and cosmetics to enhance your features," She grinned. For all her annoyance at the process, she at least seemed to like the result. "I can show you how to do it later if you like. And no, you don't need to put on the lipstick but I think it'll add to your beautiful look today."
As Vivian rushed to her suitcase, Sonia faced her travel vanity mirror and began her own cosmetics routine. A bit faster than what she'd done for Vivian, if just for the sake of routine practice, both on her own and under Tsumugi's tutelage the last time she was in Japan. Once her kouhai, she'd become the senpai ever since Sonia had expressed interest in dressing up at her first event. Sonia paused as she applied deep purple and grey eyeshadows to define her eyes' creases and corners, frowning at her friend's words.
"They should. Mind their own business, that is," She admitted, reaching for a small pot of gel eyeliner and a thin, pointed brush. She needed a steady hand, something she couldn't provide when her words were hardly such. "But it wouldn't be much of a royal family if they didn't. My being born gave the world the right to my business, or so it feels sometimes." She tried not to think of all the fictional princesses she'd likely see that day, all of them blissfully unaware what really went into being royalty. Although, with her fiery red gaze, no one would guess that Nevermind Blue eyes lay beneath the lenses. With the dramatic eye makeup, deep red lips and styled wig, no one would see the princess beneath the villain. Just as she intended.
"Thank you for the encouragement about the costume, though. Even if I had no hand in making it!" She replied brightly. A contrast to the persona she'd take on that day, but her natural cheer was harder to conceal than the worst dark circles or acne spots. "Shirogane-san would not allow me to touch it, insisting I'd make a mess of her project. It's still odd having a former kouhai from high school boss me about, but she knows what she's doing. In any case, I'll dress now: do you need any other help getting ready?"
"...You'll do what?" came her incredulous query. Of course, it doesn't take long for Vivian to immediately regret her decision in entrusting everything to Sonia, because not long after she sat down, she feels as if she had already been tricked. Why, up until this point, it never even occurred to her it wasn't just her brows that would be done, so the moment she realizes this, she's quick to make a face.
Ugh... how could she possibly be this dumb? Before Vivian could even protest, however, Sonia soon proceeds to comb her dark Birkin bangs back, causing her to jolt. "H-Hey! This is not what I signed up for, Nia-puff! You were only supposed to do my brows," she then insists, only to stare dumbfoundedly at her when next she speaks.
"The heck kinda films are those? Stuff white people usually watch?" Vivian then finds herself questioning. Honestly, outside of Studio Ghibli and anime-oriented movies, she didn't watch a whole lot of films, to the point where it was news to her music usually played during the styling segments. Still, at the very least, Sonia did happen to be considerate enough to begin her morning with tunes she could actually approve of... and so, it was with much reluctance Vivian remained motionless while she worked her beautifying magic on her face.
The whole entire time, though, she would force her eyelids shut in order to avoid seeing her acne-riddled complexion reflected back at her, so by the time coal black eyes blink open again, she'll stare at the vanity mirror... stunned beyond belief.
"My pimples are gone. What manner of sorcery is this?" Vivian soon remarks in disbelief before proceeding to hesitantly lower her gaze down towards the lip products. Once she did, however, she had to resist the urge to cringe... because it looked so damn girl-y.
"...Do I have to?" Vivian finally grumbles. Honestly, she had no idea why applying lipstick was even necessary, but at this point, she was starting to think she might have to draw the line somewhere, because there was no way she could bring herself to wear that. To that end, Sonia changing the topic of conversation comes as a major relief; in fact, upon finally having an excuse to ignore the lip products' existence, she'll rush over towards her suitcase, containing all her cosplay things that Hayate had made.
"I think royal or not, your family needs to mind their own business... but I'm sure no one would recognize you at first glance, Nia-puff. I mean, your cosplay definitely doesn't look like some cheap knockoff you can buy from Walmart during Halloween."
#unladielike#Non-Despair AU: The Princess of Novoselic#(Sonia's just 'LET ME PAMPER YOU VIVIAN')#(She's determined to make her friend feel good about herself. It will be her mission for the weekend)#(Besides buying merch and not being royalty for a few days)

Halloween: Chihiro’s been working on a new program lately with assistance from Himiko , Sonia, Gundham, and Miu to replicate something called a “Demon Summoning Program” from some game series about summoning demons to fight god or something. He didn’t think it would actually work…until it ended up bringing in a ghost that went inside him, resulting in the debut of “Rattlebottom”~
Disclaimer: R18 material! If not to your liking then please do not view!
This was ridiculous.
The last thing Chihiro wanted was to ever make software that dealt with summoning actual demons to use, but when you were hard pressed by four of your most eccentric peers so die-hard on the concept, their wishes won out.
But, it should have been fine. That's what Chihiro thought as he went about finishing the touches to their machine. There was no such thing as actual demons and, even if there were, there's no way his machine could actually make them appear!!
Right? Thoughts like those was swirling about his head as he turned the machine on for a test run...
Five minutes...and nothing was happening. See? All just a my-
Rattle, rattle, rattle...
Chihiro's eyes widened and he turned towards the door. He had expected to see the doorknob shake a bit, but it was clear it hadn't moved.
No, that rattling was from somewhere...closer.
Rattle, rattle, rattle...
Chihiro shivered and was looking around in desperation. Where...was it coming from?! Before he could think more on it, the lights went out. He was in a pitch black room with a demon summoning machine he had just tried to use.
...Yeah, no, time for him to bolt!! Sprinting Chihiro, ran in the general direction of where the door was...only to be paralyzed. Something had gone through him, sending a shiver up his spine that had him stunned.
Rattle, rattle, rattle...
It was right next to him. A raspy, mischievous sounding, voice flown throughout his ear.
"My, my, my! It's been eons since somehow summoned me, and what a cute little summoner you are~ With quite the...appealing backside to boot." Chihiro founding himself squealing a bit as a pair of unnaturally cold hand gripped his bottom under his skirt. Kneading it, squeezing it, even giving it a good slap. Chihiro was always bashful of people gushing about his big, feminine booty, so having some spirit take a liking to it just brought in a whole other layer to things.
"Yes...this will do just nicely~ I don't exactly know why I was brought here, but going through you just now I can feel a sense of...exasperation at a few individuals? Since you managed to me back to the living world, and I am in a good mood, how about I give you the power to get some payback on them! To really shake things up~"
Chihiro didn't quite know what this demon was talking about, but he'd soon feel it as it went into body. Chihiro gasped and shook where he stood, his body now moving uncontrolllably. What was happening!? Was it trying to kill him?! Terror was dominating his mind, alongside a long list of regrets, at his situation, but it wasn't meant to last. Slowly, he began feeling...light. Lighter than air even! It felt like such lightness was melting away his body and even his fear!
...And replacing it with a need to shake~
-
"What a cursed situation! Our chamber of darkness has been eclipsed with an even grander vantablack than my heart!!"
"Ugh, can't you fuckin' speak normally for once! It's probably just some blown lights. I'll fix 'em up later!
"Though, I do wonder if Chihiro is actually in this room?"
"Nyeeeh, that's what his text said..."
The other four members of the Demon Summoning group walked into the room, one by one. It was a pretty big lab (given that it was one of Miu's), but with the use of their phone lights they walked deeper in, confident at least with these they could see.
"Guys!!! I'm deeper in here! I, ah, may have tripped in the dark and gotten stuck on something. Can you lend me a hand?"
"Hah!! Leave it to the trap to get themselves trapped!!" Cackled Miu, much to Sonia's ire.
"Now, now, it was a simple mistake! Anyone would be loss in such darkness...well, except for Gundham." The breeder smirked at his darling praising him.
"Exactly! I have no more than two thousand methods of seeing in the dark, not counting my own innate ability!!"
"Nyeh, a-and so do I with my mana!" Himiko huffed out, pouting at Sonia not recognizing her abilities.
Still, all four eventually gotten closer to the sound of Chihiro's voice...but couldn't exactly find him. Strange, but that wasn't the worst part!! As soon as they got reasonably deeper in the door slammed shut and, as if one cue, their phones all went dark.
Panic set in as the quartet quickly found themselves encased in darkness. What was going on?! Where was Chihiro?! Who...!!!
Rattle, rattle, rattle...
"N-nyeh!? M-m-m-miu...w-w-was that your t-toolbelt?"
Rattle, rattle, rattle...
"F-fuck no!!! I didn't bring shit w-with me!!"
Rattle, rattle, rattle...
"Sh-show yourself fiend!! Tanaka the Forbidden One falls to n-no spectre!!"
Rattle, rattle, rattle...
"...Ch-chihiro...w-where are you?"
Rattle, rattle, rattle...
"...I'm right here guys~"
Gradually, the room would be illuminated by a pale blue light. That light would take up a rather familiar form. His back was turned away from the others, but they would gain a good look at him in a matching pale blue flamenco dress. They can also clearly see that, while the light itself did have the general shape and look of Chihiro, what contrasted it was that it was transparent enough you could clearly see bones just barely being hidden as well. That's not to mention the other elephant in the room (besides them meeting an actual spirit): the fact that he was surprisingly bottom heavy, with absolute planet for an ass and a pair of titanic thighs to boot. With each careful sway, one could not only see it jiggle ever so teasingly...but hear 'something' rattling underneath!!
The ghost turned around, smiling ever so cutely with his eyes clothes. There was no doubt that it was Chihiro.
"Hi, guys!~ Why so pale? It's just me, Chihiro! Just called you all in to to let you know the demon summoning program really, truly works!! Even though you dragged me into it and made me work long hours to complete it, I really have to thank you! Because of you, I met a new friend and they taught me how to stand up for myself! Now, I'm able to really give you a piece of my mind~" he said wagging his finger in a scolding manner.
It was then that the quartet realized something. Chihiro...wasn't alone. Snickering voices and mischievous giggle's can be heard all around them. Not able to be seen, but definitely heard. And they were getting closer.
"E-except, s-standing up for myself is a bit of an endeavor...so I'll just let my other new friends tell you how I feel, instead~ Go wild guys~" For a split second, the quarter would see Chihiro's eyes open and his mouth warp into a smirk. Instead of eyeballs, his eye sockets were imitating an ethereal blue light. His eyebrows narrowed to complete a look of deviousness.
But the others couldn't react to that in time, as the other four summoned got to bonding with the human of their choice~ Enjoying their panicked screams of fear, panic as they bolted about the room...and eventual calm as they fused with their new 'partner' so to speak. Becoming something more~
Though they might not be the only ones~
It's said that whoever is lured into the dark lab, will undoubtedly be met with the same fate. And the last thing they'll hear?
Rattle, rattle, rattle...

Love Doesn't Do Encores Ch15 Battle Gym Leader Allister
( I'm open for any further things my readers want added to this or future stories.)
To say your exit out of Stow-on-Side was quick and abrupt to say the least was an understatement. Gloria literally dragged you out of town and the two of you two ran through the heat like the time the onix chased you two in the Wild Area until exhausted and too hot from the heat to handle and collasped under a shady ledge of one of the cliffsides that were still surrounding the path you took out of Stow-on-Side. Panting, sitting on the ground as your Drizzilie face planted the shaded ground next to you just as tired.
.....You weakly raised an arm from your sweating tired self pointing up. "W-W-We...a-are *wheeze* NEVER r-running- *gasp* in the h-heat again! Hhhaaaaa-'' Your arm flopped back to your side as your laid there heaving your lungs out and Gloria weakly nodded agreeing to that proposal.
After a few tired moments of just laying there in the shade catching your breaths and regular temperatures back thanks to the shade provided Gloria eventually spoke. "W-Well...W-What now?"
You shrugged. "I dunno man. The past two days have been absolutely CRAZY!" During the silence as you were catching your breaths, the silence let it sink in for you two exactly what had transpired the last day and a half for the two of you. "It all happened so fast I can barely believe it happened."
Gloria nodded again patting her pockets. "If I didn't have these wee ones on me person I would nah believe it either but 'ere we are. UGH! What was that boy thinkin'!?"
You shrugged forcing yourself back up into a standing position despite your tired body's protest. "I-I dunno but I think it might be best for us to just leave Stow-on-Side all together before we get caught in anymore trouble's crossfires."
She nodded immediately and used the ledge she laid again to help pull herself up. Before pausing for a moment..and pointing at your hand. "What's that ya got there?"
You hummed before lifting your hand up and coming face to face with the lightly dirty mask that Sonia's yamper had found. And you lit up in realization. "OH! It's the mask Sonia found." You held it out to her as she made a reach for it. "I must've forgotten I had it when we suddenly split town. But I think she said it might've belonged to whoever runs the ghost type gym around here."
"Allister," Gloria corrected you turning the small mask over in her hands...before smiling. "Well if it is we outta return it ta him! I was plannin' on seeing 'em anyways! Now might be a good time as any if we need a reason ta leave."
You nodded. Good enough reason to you too. "I...think Sonia said his gym was a day out of here by some grave yard."
"Oh yeah it is! In fact when I checked the map for his location, I noticed there's also an Inn and a taxi station right next to it as well! We'll have somewhere to rest up then!" You nodded, nudging your pokemon who made an annoyed noise but reluctantly got up from his spot on the ground. "I just hope he's not too scared to accept battling with me. Especially since I already go the same badge he give out from Bea."
You paused..looking up from your yawning water type to raise a brow at her examining the mask more. "..What are you talking about?"
She still looked at the mask almost sadly for a moment before looking at you. "Oh right. Of course you wouldn't really know about him. Even tho it's easily known." She sighed looking back down to the mask. "Allister accordin' ta Lee is one of the newest Gym Leaders in Galar, in fact this is gonna be his first Gym Challenge too."
You blinked wide eyed at her. "Oh really?"
She nodded slowly. "In fact he's only been an official gym leader for 'round two years, but he is a bit eccentric from what I've heard. He claims ta be able ta see ghosts after an accident when he was four that claimed the lives o' his folks." She looked at you and you stared back STUNNED at the words that came and still stumbled from her mouth. "Then he was taken in by the old Gym Leader of the stadium he runs now before he passed away too. From there Allister took over and I think the Chairman or Lee's the one who's taken on the responsibility for him about keeping the stadium up n' running since he's so young." She held the mask with a slightly bigger frown. "In fact accordin' to his league card he's supposed ta have at least a hundred of these things cuz he's so shy."
You still stared.....WHAT!? HOW COULD ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND PUT THAT KIND OF RESPONSIBILITY ON A CHILD THAT YOUNG!?...Well you couldn't remember exactly HOW young he was since you remembered the only time you had ever really seen most of the Gym Leaders was during the Entrance Ceremony months ago and only for a short time. And in the game Allister's backstory, as much as it pained you too say, didn't have much impact because in fact JUST A GAME then. But now with it being your reality this was down right almost cruel! THAT CHILD NEEDS HELP!!
"Who in their right mind would just put all that responsibility on a kid like that?," you asked scowling.
Gloria shrugged. "From what I've heard through the grapevine Allister insisted on takin' over and wouldn't budge til they agreed. He must've really wanted ta stay at the stadium if he did that."
You didn't at first and just sighed shaking your head. "Well...In any case if we're heading to see him we better start walking while there's still daylight to see by. I don't feel like camping surrounded by cliffs where more boulders could fall on us."
That got her motivated enough to slip the mask into her back pack as the two of you shoved back off in the summer heat, and began walking down the trail still surrounded by the Stow-on-Side's cliffs. By the time it was night time you two were still surrounded by cliffs, so the best thing either of you could do was pitch the tent as fair from the center of the pathway you could as to not block the entrance way in case some traveler passed by. The next morning waking bright and early at Gloria's insistance to start traveling again. As in her words it would take at least a day to get there but since you two had a head start if you started walking early in the morning now, you should be able to reach the inn before night fall. You grumbled but the promise of a proper bed and home cooked food that wasn't just trail mix or the like was enough motivation for you to get up and after packing everything away, started off once again. The sun was as hot as ever as the two of you walked with Drizzilie whining but keeping up at your feet, you were glad he took what you said seriously and began walking but you also regretted not having any water for him or Gloria who looked absolutely miserable in the heat. The sooner you got to that inn the better! As the three of you walked and walked, the sun slowly got to the middle of the sky and then started slowly going down towards the time of sunset. Also within the hours you walked, the cliffs around you started to become scarcer and scarcer until they started to break off from the path around you until you both would just walk by the occiasional one spread out away from the last one and more trees and vegitation started to replace them around you. Thank goodness. The trees offered some shade from the scorching heat luckily, but it still was a pain to walk through. Ahead of you along the dirt path it started to open up to open fields like most of the scenery of Galar you've traveled past and you groaned dreading the lack of shade once you got past the treeline.
"LOOK!," Gloria suddenly pointed making you blink at where she was pointing. And you had to squint your eyes past the sun's glare to see what she was pointing to in the distance. And to your shock, a lil fair aways from you in the open area was a giant silvery stadium, and across from it was a few buildings. THERE IT WAS!! THE INN!! "There it is!" She started forward again waving to you. "C'mon. Let's get outta this bloody sun already! I'm more cooked than a burnt curry."
You could agree with that. Picking up your pace, the two of you quickly made down the pathway, sun be darned to the inn and the closer and closer you two got, the more you noticed this stadium was JUST as BIG as the others even tho it was smack dab in the middle of no where outside of a town. But that's not what got the two of you staring. It was the grave yard on the other side of the giant stadium that caught your attention. It was MASSIVE!! At least two hundred looking headstones surrounded by a very tall and sturdy looking black metal fence with the gates leading into there wide open. You two must've have noticed it at first because it was blocked from view by the stadium. Gloria was first to noticed as she just so happened to glance over her shoulder as you two went down the path that broke off from the main dirt road and towards the inn that in all honestly wasn't an inn. It was in fact just a regular two story house you'd find in Postwick, but very very BIG with what looked like lots of rooms. The only way you could've figured it was an actual inn was the sign in front of the home stating it was in fact a hotel. Just not a very big one. Beside the home was just a plain looking barn with LOTS and LOTS of hay scattered about the front of in like the kind of bard you'd keep cows and pigs in. You nearly made it to the porch when your Drizzilie squeaked and tugged on your leg, when you looked to him he pointed at Gloria, and you looked too confused, until you saw the massive graveyard she was silently staring at for a moment and you settled your gaze on it too for a moment.
".....Gloria. Are you ok?," you eventually asked her once you got over your initial shock of seeing such a thing by a pokemon stadium of all things.
She....eventually nodded and looked back to you. "Y-Yeah. I'm fine. I just thought I saw someone." She shivered before shaking it off and bounding up to you and you made a point of turning around to walk up onto the shady house's porch. "It was just my imagination tho. I guess I'm just a wee spooked about it all."
You nodded in understanding. The two of you walked up to the door and hesitated just a moment before you slowly opened the door which opened with a creak. What it opened too was a cozy looking regular living room and a few doorways leading to different areas, one of which was a kitchen from the looks of it and the other was a stairway leading up towards the second floor of the home. The two of you stared for a moment, relieved it looked normal, before looking at each other. This was an inn?? After a moment the two of you looked back inside and around, not too sure if you should step in from the shaded porch, even if the ac from the cool house was inviting.
"Uh....HELLO!?," you called into the home eventually raising a brow and looking around, "Is anyone here?! We heard this was an inn with rooms!"
"Maybe the place is run by ghosts too," Gloria suggested half teasing half mumbled.
"OH CUSTOMERS!!" Both of you looked up as a young woman's voice shouted from the kitchen area and some noises that sounded like pots and pans and shuffling footsteps. "Please, come in and close the door! I'll be right out in a giffy!" You two looked at each other again before Gloria shrugged and walked in and you followed, closing the door behind you with a creak. As you two walked into the living room area the source of the noise finally made herself present. A woman who looked about a few years older than you with black hair in a short ponytail and black sweats and t-shirt came speed walking from the kitchen. A bright white apron draped over her otherwise dark wardrode. Some flour spread all over her face and front like snow. "Hello there! Good evening!" She greeted with a wave and bright smile. Huh. You didn't remember this in game. Must've been because this was an actual world too. "Sorry I couldn't answer the door. I was a little busy baking some soul cakes." She briefly gestured to the kitchen. "But welcome to the Stow-on-Side Inn and Corviknight flight service! How can I help you two today?"
You two briefly looked at one another again before you cleared your throat. "Well, I don't suppose we could get a room just for the night. ...And where's everyone else?" You rose a brow around you. "This place is pretty big just for one person to manage."
"Oh I'm not alone," the woman explained, "My family works as the caretakers for the Stow-on-Side Cemetery or employed at the stadium across the street. Except for my uncle. He's out right now but him and his corviknight are in charge of the taxi from here if that's what you need." You shook your head no. "It's just me and my grandmother here for the moment, but I'd be happy to ring you up and show you to the guests rooms." You both agreed to that and watched as the woman just walked on over to the closet, opened it, and pulled out an old timey looking cash register. It took a moment for the two of you to practically go through your entire bags to scramble just enough for how much the room would cost for the night and after putting away said register with the money, the woman gestured for you two to follow her up the stairs and onto the second floor. As you two followed, you were honestly surprised at the place being homey and not so scary despite working for the ghost type gym leader and caretaking the cemetery next to it. You followed her to a nice looking but big room with double beds on the opposite side of the house. "The bathroom is through there." She pointed at a closed door within the room. "Feel free to use our laundry room if you need too. It's just down the hall through the green door. Dinner will be served in about two hours. I hope you don't mind soup."
"Uh..No, no. That's fine," you assured her, "Thanks."
She nodded. "You can just leave your dishes outside your door and I'll collect them before sun down. I hope you two enjoy your stay here."
"Thanks again....By the way," you gave her another look, "Where's the gym leader now? I didn't see him when we came in."
"Oh Allister? Probably off somewhere in the gym. He prefers to be left alone unless some one's delivering him food or checking up on him as the Champion ordered. But I'm sure he's fine if you're looking to go battle him right now."
"Uh. No. I was just curious."
She nodded before leaving. "Well if there's anything else you need don't hesitate to come down stairs and ask us."
She seemed pretty nice, and you were surprised but relieved to hear that Leon had recruited someone at least to keep an eye on the boy. You wasted no time in using the provided shower and laundry room for your clothes, relief flooding away from getting to finally cool down from the scorching heat you've endured for quite a few days. Your Drizzilie sure seemed to like when you filled the bathtub just a little bit and let the poor pokemon jump in only to curl up for a nap within the water. He must've been more tired out than you. Gloria made herself busy as she went through her things before pulling out that camera and a lense thing that went over it. When you asked she explained it wasn't just a night vision lense, but one that would also allow her to take pictures clear as day without the bright flash. Sounded handy. Then the next thing you knew she was pulling out that mask you had let her take and headed towards the sink and when you looked over noticed she was scrubbing the thing front and back with soap in the washroom sink furiously. As if it never had been cleaned before in it's life.
"Hey. What are you cleaning that thing off for?"
"Well I can't just give it back ta him all dirty now can I? It'd look like we didn't take care o' it at all 'n come off as rude don't cha think?"
Hmm. She had a point. It'd be rude of you to just give the poor boy his mask back in poor condition, it was better to clean it up before giving it back to him. By the time Gloria was done it was mostly ok looking. It still looked to have a few scratches and markings here and there from being obviously left out in the elements for who knows how long before being found, but it should still function ok. You didn't know how much time had exactly passed since you crashed on one of the twin beds provided for you but when you did eventually look up from your laid position was when there was a knock at the door and Gloria had found herself busy sticking more of the pictures she had apparently taken with her camera into the pages of one of her dex challenge books but looked up as you got up and answered the door. And on the other side was the same woman although without flour on herself or the apron this time, holding a tray which judging by the smell that hit you as soon as you opened the door was tomato or some kind of veggie soup.
She smiled. "Hello! Hope I'm not disturbing you folks too much." She held up the food. "But since you didn't come down for dinner I figured I would bring it to you as promised. Again, I hope you don't mind soup."
After a moment, you blinked and smiled. "That'll be fine thank you!" You carefully took it from her. It would be a nice change from curry, wild berries, and camping food at least.
She nodded before you closed the door. "Just leave them outside your door and I'll collect them from you later."
You nodded back to her before closing the door and turning with the tray in your hands. Gloria perking up at the promised food you had collected and gestured for you to come on over and look at the pictures she had taken so far. My my. There was a lot already and the book of different pokemon was practically full. Most of them were really well done and showed off the pokemon really well. Victor must've really put a lot of time and effort into the hobby he was so passionate about. However the newer ones were more plain looking and there was a bit of a snap-and-go kind of vibe to them that was obviously Gloria's and some were a bit blurry but not to the point you couldn't tell what pokemon they were. That's not saying Gloria's was worse just more different. One picture she pointed out to you was one of you asleep on the table back at the Stow-on-Side's pokemon center with your Drizzilie asleep next to you for her photo under the Drizzilie section....You had given her a look half way through your soup with a raised brow, but she only giggled in response teasing how he must've been your long lost twin to be stuck to your side most of the time. You decided to let it go for now since you were more focused on eating your food to fill the empty space in your stomach. Speaking of said water type pokemon, Drizzilie had given a bored but curious look over the still slightly filled tub once he heard the mention of food. Afraid he might've yelled and gotten you in trouble with who ever the owners of this place was, you had rummaged around in your backpack and had found a mini bag of what looked like granola bars and tossed it to him to keep his stomach in check. You also found the small bag of candy you had been 'tipped' back in Hulbury for your 'job' still sealed tight with the little ribbon. Deciding you didn't want for it you offered it to Gloria who, after giving a thoughtful expression, gladly took it and set it aside for the moment. For the next while you had finished the food offered, leaving it outside the door as requested, and you picked up helping her find the right pictures to put into place within the book until you were done. There was quite a number of them that you didn't remember her taking on her way to Hammerlocke or Stow-on-Side concluding she must've just not had the time to glue them all in yet. By the time you were finished and Gloria put the book and other things back into her bag the sun had set and darkness was settling in for a long night ahead.
You stretched and yawned with a sigh turning to the bed provided for you with a smile. Happy you didn't have to worry about pitching a tent for the night again. "Ok! Time for bed-"
"UH! Don't ya mean adventure, Y/n?" You paused...turning Gloria with a bewildered expression plastered on your face as it what she meant by that. She meant adventure as in like a good dream right? She held up her camera and shook it a bit. "The best time ta capture ghost pokemon would be at night! And what better place than around a ghost type stadium n' grave yard!? I don't even have the flash on so it won't scare 'em off!"
"Oh HECK to the no with that idea!" You frowned immediately shutting her idea down and pointed to the floor. "Gloria we've been walking all day in the hot sun and I'd like to get a little sleep tonight. Plus we CAN'T just go tresspassing in a graveyard of all places! That's like high key illegal and very disrespectful might I add."
She gave you a look as if you had just insulted her mother. "WHAT!? Who said anythin' about goin' into that spooky place? I was talkin' 'bout just takin' pictures of 'em as they floated around. I wouldn't really just walk into a grave yard in the middle of the night are ya looney?"
Oh.....That actually made a lot more sense. Since ghost type pokemon wouldn't be too common during the day if any came out at all, and Gloria would probably need to get a few pictures of them if she wanted to finish up that challenge book. Being next to a ghost type stadium and the grave yard did seem like a good place as any to catch a couple of them floating about. But you two couldn't just be skulking about at night light this!! They'd think you were...were....I don't know! Grave robbers or something!
You shook your head. "Glory. Don't you think this is ...I don't know. Strange looking? What if someone catches us and think we're up to no good? These people practically own this land after all."
She gave you that same pleading face she gave to you when she wanted to meet Raihan back in Hammerlocke. "Please! I know I said I wouldn't ask for any more favors but this could be a good chance to get some pictures I probably couldn't get anywhere else! And we wouldn't be actually goin' inside the cemetary for pictures anyways so there wouldn't be any reason for us to get in trouble even if we were found! Plus think of the scientific reasons!" You rose a brow. "Seein' ghost type pokemon first hand in their natural habitat! Documenting' 'em for the world ta see! It'd be a good first hand experience in case one ever crosses our paths!"
You groaned, reaching a hand up to rub at your face. "You're really settled on this thing aren't you??....*sigh* Fine!" You pointed to her. "But you can't expect us to spend all night out there! We'll spend an hour outside but then we need to come back and get some sleep for tomorrow."
"....An hour n' a half!"
You sighed again. "Fine. An hour and a half but don't push it anymore than that!"
She beamed brightly nodding and jumping to her feet with her pack still slung over her shoulders. "You got it! We'll be in 'n out so fast they'll think we're ghosts too!"
You dry chuckled before shaking your head and turning. The things you got yourself into on this journey. "Drizzilie!" Said water pokemon peeked it's head over from the tub as it was called and you pointed to your own bag. "We'll be right back. Watch my bag for me until we come back. Ok?" The pokemon made some kind of sound before sinking back down from view which you took as an ok and turned back to follow Gloria once she walked over to the door. "Hey." She paused. "We'll need to be quiet about this. Remember. In and out. We're not going to be doing anything crazy like in Stow-on-Side. Ok?"
She nodded and with a groan, you reluctantly followed her flipping the lights of your room off as you did. The dishes weren't in the doorway when Gloria stepped out so the lady must've collected them as she promised. The whole house was...quiet. And dark. You had snuck downstairs to the kitchen a couple times to grab a midnight snack without your parents knowing when you were back home a couple times, but this felt different. Everything was quiet and dark besides the odd night noises you'd usually hear and the moonlight leaking in through the windows being your only source of light around. You stood there for a moment taking it in, it almost felt like you two were sneaking away like thieves or something, even if neither of you had bad intentions it still felt strange sneaking out like this. You jumped as the door made a soft creaking noise as Gloria slowly closed it behind the two of you. The brunette turned to you before putting a hand to her mouth in the universal 'be quiet' motion that you guessed even in this universe was known. You nodded and together the two of you slowly walked towards the stairs. It was strange at night sounds seemed to be much louder especially when the two of you were TRYING to be quiet. Even though your footsteps were pretty light and soft considering to your slightly worried selves they might as well have been compared to an elephant's! You tried to not bump or trip over anything in the limited light the moon provided and did your best to try and let your eyes get used to the dark as fast as possible to help out. Eventually Gloria found the stairs and took the first few steps down with you right behind her of course praying you neither of you would accidentally trip down these. Someone must've heard your prayers because you both made it and headed towards the front door. Gloria made the first move as you looked around and were surprised no one from the family woke up. They must've all still been asleep. Gloria slowly reached over and grabbed onto the doorknob, slowly turning it counter clockwise until there was a small click noise alerting it had been all the way turned, and pulled back the door with a small squeak noise. You two cringed at it and in a panicked stopped half way from the noise looking back towards the stairs of the dark and still home......But no sounds of anyone waking up came. With a sigh Gloria finished opening the creaking door enough for you both to slip through and out you two went into the night before she as slowly as before closed it back with a creak and small click. You both stayed still for a moment a little on edge...before sighing on the dark porch. Whelp you made it outside at least. Turning around, you looked out onto the dark world around you and it didn't look so much different than usual. The stadium giant and silent blocking out some of the moonlight and casting the road in front of it and parts of the cemetery in a pitch black shadow. The moon full rising high above your heads as stars twinkled around it like diamonds and dark grey clouds lazily passed along the sky. Would've made a perfect scene for a halloween cartoon. As you glanced towards the cemetary, devoid of any life or light besides the moon, you couldn't help but let a shiver run down your spine. But you didn't see any pokemon. Not even ghost pokemon.
"Hey Gloria," you nearly said in a whisper turning. But jumped realizing she wasn't next to you anymore. It only took one look over your shoulder to locate her tho. She turned back to you and made another shush motion before waving you over from her kneeled spot on the ground facing down the road from the stadium. How did she move so fast? Blinking, you did end up walking over to her as she resumed holding the camera to her eye, leaning over to be eye level. "What's up?"
"Shh." She looked to you, held her finger to her now smiling mouth for a third time, before pointing in front of her. "Loud noises will scare 'em away." She whispered.
Raising a brow you looked forward....And your eyes widened. Down the road from the stadium (the side that didn't have the cemetery on it) was littered in taller grass and a few trees. And they were AB-SO-LUTELY FILLED with ghosts pokemon! And some lights which you quickly realized were chandelier and candle looking pokemon flying or shuffling around. THERE MUST'VE BEEN AT LEAST ONE OR TWO HUNDRED OF THEM!! Peeking through grass. Randomly flying around. Interacting with one another. Climbing over the barn building. A few you remembered the names of like that small group of driftloons. A few shuppets here and there. That there climbing on the barn's roof was a sableeye. You THINK those candle like pokemon walking down the pathway were litwick. There was this really pretty white pokemon who looked to be dancing in the moonlight and you were pretty sure it was a Frostlass. IT WAS INCREDIBL- You gave a yelped and fell to your knees next to Gloria ducking as a loudly wailing Mismagius flew over head....And the teen giggled at you as you threw a frown at her.
"Oh haha. Very funny Ms. Get-Us-Chased-By-An-Onix."
"Hey! I said it was an accident. Besides unlike with that big rock for brains I know we'll be safe doin' this." She went back to holding up the camera towards the variety of pokemon around you. And while it was dark, and you were both a decent ways a way from the cemetery so you couldn't really have seen unless you could see in the dark....Neither of you saw the small figure peeking out from between the tombstones at you. Having heard the yelp you made thanks to the mischevious pokemon that whizzed by.
"Oh yeah? How are you so sure?"
"Ghost type pokemon are just different from rock types," she continued with a smile, "Rock pokemon would usually just mindlessly chase after ya far away if you even bother 'em in the slightest. And while ghost type pokemon can be pretty territorial if they have a territory of their own, usually they're just like this." She pressed the button again aiming at a ghost pokemon with a skull over it's face you couldn't remember the name off. Despite being so close to it and Gloria pointing the camera directly at it, it never even looked at her as it left. "They like to just mind they're own business most of the time as it is. As long as ye don't bother 'em or make 'em feel like you're gonna do something bad nine times outta ten they'll just leave ya alone. A lot of people think they're creepy or just plain ol' dangerous cuz of the bad rep some spread....But we're just sittin' here. Mindin' our own business while they do theirs. What reason would they have to just suddenly come at us?"
You stared at her completely in surprise. ".....Did you learn this from Hop too?"
"Yep!," she said snapping a picture at one of those chandelier like pokemon as it flew directly over the two of you. "He'd make a pretty smart scientist or pokemon researcher if he ever decided to become one."
You nodded. Not aware of just how smart Hop if he could know such astounding information. "...Well. How would you describe it then if a lot of people are too scared of them?"
....she paused...before looking and not even missing a beat said, "Beautiful. Wouldn't you?" The figure watching you's eyes widened.
You blinked a moment before looking forward as another driftloon lazily floated past close enough that if you wanted too you could touch one of it's yellow hand-thingies...before smiling. "You know I would. Because I can't really argue with how you described it either."
She hummed before turning and spotting a small mimikyu walking past towards the shadowed area of the path you two couldn't see into and pointed her camera towards it's disappearing figur- She froze. Eyes widening as through the night proof lense she caught a humanoid white face staring back before it swiftly ducked behind a tombstone- "GAH!!" You yelped as Gloria fell backwards onto her bum with a loud yelp. Startling some of the ghost pokemon into scattering away while others turned at the noise that disturbed the night. She pointed. "There's a bloody ghost in there!"
"SHHH!!" You quickly looked back towards the house relieved it didn't look like anyone was disturbed..before turning to her scared look with a scowl. "Gloria! You'll wake everyone up!"
her hand grabbed your arm as she scowled herself and pointed still. "I. Saw. A. Bloody. GHOST!! G. H. O. S. T. GHOST!!"
"Of course you're gonna see a ghost! We're surrounded by them-"
"No! Not a ghost type pokemon! I mean a real-..." She suddenly let go of your arm. "Hang on." With a fumble she managed to pull her camera's strap from around her head and forced the camera over to you. You nearly dropped to as she grabbed your shoulder and pointed towards a specific part of the cemetery across the road you couldn't see into because of the stadium blocking the moonlight. "Look. There! Right 'round that area there!" You looked to the camera, where she pointed, and then her unsure. But judging by the frown she wore, she wasn't going to take no for an answer. With a sigh you complied and held the camera up to your eye. Now you weren't sure whatever lense she used, but she was right that this thing made everything look like it really was in day time. Only with a yellow-ish hue to it. You could see the grave yard(making you shiver again-) clearly with this again, and could make out a bunch more ghost type pokemon doing their own thing among the graves there. Nothing really out of place as you could tell- until a humanoid black blur ran past a few of them. Startled you gave a small gasped and dropped the camera from your face. Gloria wearing an 'I told you so' look before snatching the camera back. "Now do you believe me?"
You opened your mouth before closing it like a goldfish a couple times looking between her and the pitch black darkness a few times. Not sure what to say...before settling on. "W-Well....Maybe it's one of the caretakers. They could be doing night rounds or...or something?" Or maybe it was a ghost type pokemon you couldn't remember.
She hummed. "Sure. Could be. But when did a graves keeper wear some kind of ghost ma-" Gloria froze...her hands lowering the camera back around her neck before dropping to her lap. her eyed wide and staring off into the darkness for a moment. ".....Wait a bloody second." You watched confused as she slid her bag off her shoulders(not sure why she brought it along in the first place) and opened it. Her hand hand shooting inside one specific area before pulling out the same white mask she had been cleaning earlier that day. It's white color shining in the moonlight as she held it up. Her brown eyes looked at it then at the dark cemetery then back to it again before she slowly stood up. Still looking at the mask as she slung her backpack back over her shoulders before looking back at the cemetary....and began to walk across the dirt road towards it.
"HEY! Gloria!" You were quick to jump to your feet and run after her, reaching a hand out to grab her backpack again as she let out a 'Hey!' in protest to you stopping her. "Whoa whoa whoa! And where do you think you're going!? I thought we agreed no grave yard adventures!"
"But he's in there!,'' she insisted pointing forward.
"Him? Him who?"
"Allister." she held up the small mask tugging free from your grip. "We said we'd give it back ta him."
......You rose a brow. "You think that Allister is in the grave yard?.....I'm pretty sure he's not an actual ghost."
"I didn't mean like that! He's runnin' around in there."
"Gloria. He's younger than you and most kids even adults would be asleep by now. What makes you think a little kid is going to be running around in a dark cemetery filled with pokemon who'd rather not be bothered at ten at night by himself??"
...She sighed. "Look. I know it sounds crazy but-.."She looked back to it. "I can't explain it..But there's somethin' I really need ta check out there. SO...Please? It's not like we'd be causing trouble by just lookin'."
You understandably were WAY too ready to just say no, call it a night there, and then drag Gloria back to bed to see Allister IN THE MORNING especially not in a grave yard but-...You looked back up too. ....There was a strange feeling about this. Not a bad feeling like you'd get with Mr. Rose or an uncomfortable feeling like when Raihan tried flirting with you or a familiar feeling like when you remembered something. Just...a neutral one as you stared back towards the darkness. And you found yourself slowly walking towards it yourself. Gloria blinked but didn't questioning anything as she followed you into the darkness. It didn't take long for either of you to find the open gates wide open for the two of you and in you went with Gloria right after you. Right into the dark grave yard. And you instantly felt a scary feeling overcome you. OH BOY!! This was like NOTHING in a game!! As you two looked around, Gloria turned down one way for a moment before beginning to walk that way, you blinking before slowly following behind not wanting to be left alone in this place. And like you had seen through the lense there was plenty of ghost types running around here. Many you didn't pay attention too as the two of you walked and looked around. Besides being in a literally cemetery in the middle of the night, everything seemed pretty normal. Before you bumped into Gloria who had stopped suddenly right in front of you.
"Hey!" Her sudden shout made you jump and blink. She walked forward a few steps and you watched...and noticed there was something cowering behind a particular tombstone that didn't look like a pokemon. "I can see ya hidin' away there." Whatever the thing was shifted even more behind the tombstone as Gloria stepped forward- Until a sudden barracaded wall of purple and sound quickly materialized from out of the earth before you two and sent her yelping and stumbling back as a trio of ghastly, haunter, and a gengar made up it. They didn't too happy. Acting quickly, you held your arms out just in time to catch her back before pushing her back upright into a standing position from the scare. She stumbled, righted herself up, and threw you a smile over her shoulder. "Quick thinkin' Y/n!"
"Those three don't seem to be too happy to see us," you commented gesturing to the obvious trio blocking your way as they made more sounds of contentment and frowns your way. Huh. Strange. Usually when you saw these three in any pokemon media they were always smiling so why were these trio angry? Were you invading their domain?
The thing moved from one tombstone to behind another and you two got a glimpse of a person. A rather small person which made Gloria raise a hand and call out again. "WAIT! You're Allister right?!" She pointed behind her. "You're the gym leader here aren't ya?"
There was a moment of silence as the trio of ghosts still stood there .....before the TINIEST and softest voice you had ever come from a kid speak out. "......'M A-Allister." You two could barely make out what was said by the voice...before slowly ....a small hand grabbed onto the side of the tomb stone the figure was hiding behind and a white masked face with dark hair peeked an eye from behind it. You both stared at him and he stared right back at the two of you. First at Gloria, then you, then back to Gloria before he shrunk a bit back behind the grave stone. "...Gym c-c-challenger??" He whispered out.
You weren't sure if it was a question or statement but Gloria nodded. "Yeah. That's right." Before lowering herself to sit cross legged on the ground as you blinked in surprise at her actions. "I am one but I didn't come 'ere to challenge ye or anythin'," she assured in a soft voice Wait...She DIDNT?! Then why was see so inssistant on coming here? "So you don't have ta worry yourself over that."
There was a long pause and the figure didn't even budge from his spot, in fact he inched back even more behind the stone if you were seeing things in the dark corrected. "T-T-Then w-w-why ...W-What do y-y-you-" Gloria calmly held up the lightly scratched up mask to him, and it seemed to be he realized what it was because his visible eye that was reflected within the moonlight blinked at it. "....T-T-That's m-m-my mask."
She slowly nodded again. "I figured it was." Without getting up she slowly extended her arm holding the mask out to him. "We found it all the way in Stow-on-Side. I just...well I wanted to return it to ya. Since you're always wearin' 'em in all I figured you'd might want it back is all."
......The hand on the stone pointed behind her at you. "W-W-W-Who's t-that?"
"Oh this?" She looked back to you before gesturing to come sit on the ground next to her and after a second of hesitation you complied and sat yourself on the ground next to her. "This is my pal Y/n. She was the one who found your mask by the mural in Stow-on-Side." There was another silence as he still stood there before Gloria slowly held it out to the purple pokemon trio in front of her instead. "Here. You can give it to him if it's make it more comfortable to him."
The pokemon all blinked before looking at one another before the gengar reached out and took the mask from her. Examining it as it turned around and walked over to where the boy was still hiding behind the stone. Allister's head disappeared for a moment back behind the stone and you both watched as a hand poked right out real quick to grab the mask from the pokemon who held it out to him.
"I'm really sorry about all the scratches n' dents in it," Gloria apologised, "But I cleaned it up good. I hope that's alright."
Again another pause and while he didn't look out again his voice came back. "T-That c-camera a-around your neck."The masked face peeked out again." ...W-Were you going to t-t-take m-my picture w-w-w-with it?"
"Absolutely not unless you wanted too." The boy furiously shook his head no and Gloria held up her hands before reaching up and taking the camera off your shoulder and held it over to you. You understood and without a word, silently took it from her and placed it inside her bag as she looked back to him. "Ta tell ya the truth I came out 'ere to collect some pictures of ghost type pokemon for somethin' I've been working on."
The boy nodded but in a way that almost seemed guilty. "I-I know I-I heard you speaking....I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize. We don't mind at all. And we were being a bit loud, especially when I got spooked by a mismagius," you finally spoke giving him a smile and the same tone Gloria used. Holding a hand to your chest. You're little tease bringing a small but single chuckle from the boy to your delight. "My name's Y/n and this is Gloria. It's very nice to meet you Allister."
"......Gloria?," he asked tilting his head to Gloria who nodded, ".....Like Leon said?"
"If it was Lee who told ya 'bout me then it was def me." She tilted her head at him. "Did he tell ya bout me?"
......"He s-s-said you were a v-very nice and k-kind p-person."
She chuckled. "I try to be. Which is why I wanted to return your mask to ya. Although I have no idea how it ended up all the way in Stow-on-Side."
There was another pause....before the boy disappeared behind the stone again only to shuffle out to meet his full body to face you, as if in case he'd have to duck back behind it again, and you widened your eyes in surprise. When you had originally seen him back in the Entrance Ceremony on the giant screen you estimated him to be only one or two years younger than Gloria herself, but judging by his height and tone he couldn't possibly be older than eight or nine years. As he clutched the lightly scratched mask to his chest he stared at the two of you for a moment. "I-I....l-lost it by accident..w-when I was visiting a yam-mask in the ruins."
"Well then it sounds like you have a bunch of friends from everywhere," you smiled and Gloria nodded. He seemed to brighten at the fact you didn't state what someone would probably usually say and that having a yamask for a friend and traveling to see him was strange. .....You hesitated but couldn't help but ask. "Hey. Sweetie, what are you doing out here so late at night? And by yourself?"
"Oh. I-I'm n-not alone," he said a slightly brighter tone to his voice before he looked at the now smiling trio behind him. "I'm here with my friends."
.....You nodded. "I can see that, and it's obvious to me that they must help take very good care of you." The three pokemon made proud noises and smiles at the praise. "But I guess what I mean is did you let anyone from the stadium know you would be playing outside this late? They might be worried if you didn't let them know."
"Oh no it's ok. They already know I like to come out here a lot so it's not a b-big deal." He said this like it was normal....You slowly nodded but didn't make any move to make him feel bad. Allister then cocked his head curiously at the both of you. ".....D-Did you really m-mean it? I mean. W-When you said you f-found ghost types...b-b-beautiful?"
"Of course we did!," Gloria stated proudly and loudly. Well a little too loud because it made Allister flinch from the loud voice. "Oh. Sorry 'bout that." She immediately apologized before nodding and talking in that soft tone again. "Yeah. We did. But genuinely if I'm honest I really like all pokemon despite what kind they are. Ghost, physic, grass....They're all really unique in their own way. Just like Gym Leaders even if they're similar."
He seemed confused as he stared at her. "What do you mean?"
She hummed in thought. "Well...For example Kabu and Bea exercise a lot to keep fit n' ta help with their motivation, and so does Nessa now that I think about it. All three exercise for their careers in one way or another, but for different reasons. Like how Bea uses that to compete in the Galarian Martial Arts tournaments while Kabu couldn't careless 'bout fightin' in those things." A brighter smile lit up her features. "Oh! Or how Raihan and Gordie like postin' lots for their fan base. But each o' 'em post different things and even if it's the same thing there's differences in each one. It's fun getting to meet all the different gym leaders as people and seeing what makes them so passionate about their lives and how they do things!"
".....A-A-And me?" His grip on the mask increased slightly as he hugged it to himself. "W-What would you w-w-want to meet me for?"
"Well, besides to return that mask like I was tellin' ye about," she explained with a smile, "I think I wanted to meet you to see that special connection ya got that no one else has."
"Huh?," he blinked at her confused.
She gestured to him. "I've been around for a bit n' I've seen some really good connections between some people and their pokemon. But not even Leon can communicate the same level those lovlies behind ya can with you." Allister looked to the trio around him before looking back to her. "I'm not sayin' people and pokemon can't be friend, cuz that wouldn't be right at all since pokemon can be your friends no matter what. But there's somethin' extra special about the way you talk and interact with 'em compared to the other trainers and their pokemon that just seems more......closely bonded in a way I don't know but I can kinda understand in a way. ....That what makes it so beautiful about ya." Allister....didn't move....or talk.....Just stared silently. To the point even his ghost pokemon pals turned to look at him in question. And more long silence the two of you exchanged a worry look before Gloria looked at him. "H-hey mate. I'm sorry if I said something to upset ya."
"Hm?" He blinked..before waving his hands. "Oh n-no nono. I-I'm sorry. I-It's just....n-no body's ever s-said that to me b-before e-except for L-Leon a-and P-Piers."
"Well he's not wrong." He turned to look at you as you genuinely smiled at the boy. "Allister, I honestly don't know you or much about you ..but by kindly you've been and how ready your friends are to help you speaks that you're a really kind hearted person. And I think you're a great gym leader too. It wouldn't even matter if Leon told you you were special because I think you always were. We just all happen to be special in our unique ways."
He seemed to be taken aback at what you just said because he looked away and kicked at the ground with his foot. "You don't.....think any of this is scary?"
"Hm. Maybe some people would but that's alright too. We're all scared on something. I'm scared of heights."
"....Oooh. So that's why you never wanted to ride a flying taxi."
You nodded. "But that doesn't mean it's a bad thing at all Allister. I think you're a good kid. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
"Besides. We've talked to ghosts too!"
A silence fell over the lot of you again as you blinked and everyone turned to Gloria who smiled. "........What?"
"Yeah. You remember her! Paula! She's the one who wanted us to deliver a letter-"....She blinked. "Oh wait!" You all watched as she slung her bag off her shoulders and once again went to dig through it. Allister tilted his head curiously at her rummaging until jumping back when Gloria pulled out the same letter she had received from Paula back in Hammerlocke. "Here it is!"
"Gloria. We can't just say that little girl was a ghost. She could've just been a regular person."
She rose her brow at you. "A lil girl who could run as fast as a rapidash and disappear as silent as a ghost type pokemon?"
".....Ok. You have a fair point but we can't just jump to conclusions like that-"
"M-May.." You both turned back to Allister as he slowly reached a free hand out the other one still clutching the returned mask to him. "M-May I see it?"
"Of course ya can."
She gently handed over the letter and you two watched him take it as his ghost pokemon crowded around him to also look at it. He stared silently the entire time he looked at it, turning the thing front and back with his hands. ".........T-This has a strange aura about it." He finally looked at Gloria. "Y-You said she wanted you to d-deliver it?"
She nodded. "Yeah. Said it was for someone called Frank in Bellonlea. Also said I looked like someone she could trust."
He hummed for a moment before slowly handing it back to her and she took it back from him. "W-Well.....I think the b-best thing to do if she e-entrusted you with it is to make sure it gets delivered as soon as possible."
Gloria nodded putting the letter back into her bag. "Then it sounds like ta me the next stop we should make is the Bellonlea gym. I can go return the letter n' then battle the gym leader there....*yyyyaaaawwwnnn*"
"Yeah. Speaking of tomorrow, I think we've all had enough adventure for one night and should head back." You slowly stood up as to not spook Allister and Gloria slowly nodded and followed your example with another yawn. "We've all been out here for a while."
......Allister nodded. "U-Um...Yeah. I t-t-think I'll go back inside now too."
"Do you want us to walk you home?" He looked up to you surprised for a moment before shaking his head. "Are you sure? I wouldn't want you to get lost on your way back by yourself."
"Oh don't worry Miss. I'm not alone. I-I have my friends to help me.....b-but if you want y-y-you can come with me to the stadium doors. I-I don't mind."
You smiled and offered your hand out to him making him jump a bit in surprise....before silently looking between you and your hand....before slowly extending his free hand...and putting it in yours. You smiled as you turned around at a slow pace the young boy could walk without needing to change whatever pace he would've already had and walked with him towards the exit of cemetery. Thanking whoever answered your prayers that you were going to be able to get some sleep tonight after all. Even if Allister did this often in game or in this world often, you would feel better knowing that the young boy was safe inside his home and not out running around in the dark unsupervised and got home safely. So you slowly walked with him out of the cemetery and along the dirt path all the way to the big stadium doors where he eventually let go of your hand and you let him with Gloria and the spooky trio following.
"I-I can go on from here,'' he told you.
"Are you sure?" He nodded. "Alright. You be careful now. Ok?"
"I-I will." You smiled and waved a moment before turning and starting to walk away. Gloria turning too the moment you got to her.
"G-Gloria.." She stopped and turned to Allister who was still hugging the mask to himself. "U-Um....If...I-I k-know you said y-y-you didn't want to have a battle w-w-with me...b-b-but i-if you want too..y-you can stop by b-before you l-leave t-t-tomorrow a-a-and have a quick match."
She blinked at him for a moment before smiling and nodding. "I wouldn't miss it!" And then turned to catch up with you.
As you passed by the ghosts pokemon you gave them a smile. "You three continue looking after him ok? You've all done such a great job so far."
They all smiled and made happy noises so you took that as a yes. The both of you heard the door to the stadium open and close as you were walking signalling Allisters entrance and you sighed in relief knowing he'd be safe inside at least. You both returned the same way you got out. By sneaking inside through the creaking doors cringing all the way and being as quiet as you can to not wake anyone up. By the grace of some unseen force you managed to somehow not wake anyone up and successfully make your ways back into your room safe and soundly. And finding your Drzzilie had curled himself in your bag and had fallen asleep. Heh. Guess old habits died hard. You were sure exhausted though and practically fell dead asleep as soon as you hit the pillow. Sighing and closing your heavy eyelids as the peaceful darkness took over. Infact..... you didn't wake up. Not until much later the next day. Also not surprisingly in the slightest you ended up dead asleep again, not waking up until it was almost eleven in the after noon and when you eventually pulled your heavy feeling body out of bed you discovered Gloria folding some white clothing to stuff back into her bag with a plate of untouched waffles sitting next to her on the bed, and your Drizzilie boredly staring unmoving at the food.
At the sounds of you groaning and sitting up she flashed you a smile and waved. "Mornin' Sleepin' Beauty! I hope you're hungry cuz I already went through the trouble of not lettin' this tyrant 'ere take your breakfast." You pokemon sent an annoyed look her way.
With a long yawn and quick rub of your eyes you waved back. "Mmmmmmm. Morning. *yaaaaawwwwnnn*".....Your tired eyes blinked more at the uniform she was stuffing back into her pack and you pointed. "Hey. How come you have your challenger uniform out?"
"Well it's required ta wear it when you challenge a gym leader. I swear both his and Bea's gym challenge was me spinnin' more than Kabu's arcanine's flame wheel attack."
.........You blinked, taking a moment for your tired brain to process what she had just said. "Wait. You challenged Allister?" She nodded. "When did that happen?"
"Early this mornin'. He said if I wanted ta challenge him I should do it before we left for Bellonlea this mornin'. I was thinkin' of heading there next anyways since it would be the closest Gym I haven't battled yet." She finished stuffing the uniform into the pack before slinging it over her shoulders before you noticed the camera slung back over her neck. "And I got the badge...Even if I didn't win exactly."
"....What do you mean by that?"
"There was four rounds with 'em. I won two and lost two. So it ended with a tie between us both. I didn't want to accept the badge if I didn't really win, but he said since we were even I should take it anyways since I technically won it in a way. I think he was really happen to just have a battle with someone who didn't pressure him into it and without a big crows ta watch, tho he said as an official battle it'd still is gonna be broadcasted online for everyone to see," she explained picking up the food and turning to you," He's a really strong trainer for a lil kid. I think he's gonna be a great gym leader. And I saved ya some food that the land lady brought."
"Thanks! ...But where is he now?"
"Asleep. He was pretty tuckered out from last night n' the battle." She handed the plate over to you. "But that's to be expected."
You nodded. "Yeah. So that means you got the Ghost gym badge right?" She nodded again. "...Oh. By the way, how far away is Bellonlea anyways?"
"Eh. It'd take a REAL long time if we walk, n' there's no train 'round here for a good distance too. Which is why I already told the taxi guy out front we would use the corviknight taxi as soon as you were all ready."
You paused. Food on your fork lowered as you looked at her wide eyed. A silence coming over you two as you stared long enough to not notice your Drizzilie take one of the waffles from your plate.
".....WHAT!?"

Heey I saw you were looking for requests and you said you wanted to write for genshin as well! So in light of the new update and his lines when you put him in the tea pot, could you maybe write something where Childe brings the reader home to meet his siblings and stuff and how that would go?
Thank you!!! 💕💕
𝐇𝗼𝗺𝐞 𝐈𝐬 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐈𝐬 𝐟𝐭. 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞
✹𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘚𝘖 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘧𝘶𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴, 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶!!
❥𝘗𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘭𝘶𝘧𝘧!
“Guys! You’re hogging (Y/N)! This is supposed to be my vacation with them!” Childe whined, trying, in vain, to shoo his siblings away.
You sweat dropped, letting out a huff of amusement. “I thought that you wanted me to meet your siblings? Isn’t that right, Teucer?” Childe’s youngest brother grinned from where he was latched onto your shirt.
“Yeah! And we still have to make you Borsch!” You ruffled his hair, grinning. “Oh? And will you be making it?” The boy nodded proudly, but before he could respond, Childe was interrupting.
“Hey now! Making you Borsch was my idea! Shouldn’t I make it?!” He complained. “Who knew Ajax was so whiny,” Sonia snickered, pointedly.
“That’s it! Come with me, we need our own time! Away from siblings who have no sense of loyalty!” Laughter from both you and his siblings echoed around him as he dragged you away from the house.
Despite all his complaints, a warm smile was still on his face, eluding to how happy he was to see you getting on with his family.
Once you’d calmed down from your laughing fit, you took a moment to look around yourself and wondered where you were.
“Where are you taking me? It’s getting dark you know,” You stated, walking closer to his side. He just grinned, a glint of mischief shining in his eyes. “Exactly! You’ll love it, just trust me, yeah?”
You squeezed his hand, not hesitating to do exactly as he said. “Don’t make me regret it,” You joked bumping his shoulder.
He just laughed as he pulled you to the top of a snow covered hill. However, your gaze landed on a fluffy blanket, a campfire, and a basket of food.
“What is all this…?” You asked, a smile slowly spreading across your face. Childe grinned proudly, gesturing for you to take a seat. “I told you I’d show you the best scenery didn’t I? A little bit earlier I made Borsch- by myself by the way! And why we were tactfully distracting you, my big brother took everything out here!”
You were too stunned to speak for a moment. When Childe had first promised to bring you to Snezhnaya, you’d never imagined he’d go so far to show you his home, but you were in no way complaining.
“Don’t get speechless now, love, there’s still the grand finale!” You blinked surprised. What could possibly top a romantic dinner overlooking Snezhnaya?
Still, you decided to trust Childe and enjoy the present moment rather then dwell on the future. And in present moment, you were preparing to take your first bite of the Snezhnayan delicacy.
Across from you, your lover sat, watching you, his expression filled with anticipatory excitement.
The second you tasted the soup, your eyes widened and you quickly swallowed it. “Are you sure you made this? It’s so good!” The Harbinger just laughed, too happy to acknowledge your teasing.
“I’m glad you like it, even if you can’t just say that,” He sighed, mock wistfully. Your smile turned genuine as you leaned against him. “I’m just kidding, love. It’s great, you’re great. I haven’t been here long but… I don’t want to leave anytime soon.”
He lowered his face to yours, and his lips met your own with a unique softness, one that was filled with pure love. However, he pulled away far too soon, but before you could make it known, he was pointing behind you.
“Look to the sky… there’s the finale.” Following his finger, you took in what was one of the most beautiful sights you’d ever seen. Bright green and yellow ribbons of light danced across the night sky for as far as you could see.
“They’re called the ‘aurora borealis’ or the ‘northern lights’. They only happen certain times of year and I thought you’d like it,” Childe murmured, his gaze on you rather than the celestial show, not that you noticed.
“It’s beautiful… thank you, I- I don’t know what to say,” You whispered, your gaze flitting from the lights to Childe.
“Say you’ll stay by my side,” He pleaded quietly, a fond smile playing at his lips. Your forehead rested against his and your eyes fluttered shut.
“Always.”

Beach Days - Gundham Tanaka x Reader
Like every morning, the Ultimates met at the restaurant, but this morning was slightly unusual: Gundham got a note from none other than Kazuichi Soda, inviting him to meet the mechanic at the supermarket later that afternoon. Curious, Gundham made his way over, wondering what exactly did Kazuichi have in mind?
When he entered the supermarket, he wasn’t surprised to see Kazuichi standing there.
“Gundham!” Kazuichi exclaimed. “Finally, you’re here!”
“What is the meaning of this meeting, you fiend?” Gundham asked, as his hamsters peaked out from his scarf and sleeves. “Do you intend to attack the great Gundham Tanaka, Supreme Overlord of Ice?! Well, you will surely be defeated, as I am equipped with my four Dark Devas of Destruction!”
“Wh-Wha-What?! No, I’m not trying to attack you! I need your help!”
“My… help? Explain yourself at once, sinner!” boomed Gundham.
Kazuichi quickly explained that he had overheard the girls planning to go for a swim by the beach that afternoon, and he needed Gundham with him in order for it to look like a coincidence.
“Please, Gundham!” pleaded Kazuichi, “I just need to see Miss Sonia in a bikini! I’ve always loved blonde girls, this is my one shot!”
“Tch. Of course a mere mortal like you is swayed by the illusions of beauty, but I am Gundham Tanaka, bringer of true hell and chaos! I have no interest in ‘blondes’ or ‘bikinis’.”
At this, Kazuichi grinned, baring his sharp teeth. “Oh really? No interest in bikinis? Cuz, I’ve seen the way you look at Y/N, and it sure seems like you’d be interested in seeing her in one…”
A bright crimson spread across Gundham’s face, and in seconds he brought his scarf across his face. “I… wh… I, I do not understand the meaning of your words, you sinner! Y/N is a mere mortal, like yourself, and I am far too hellish to be tempted by her angelic appearance!”
Still grinning, Kazuichi replied, “If you say so! In that case, I’ll be going then, off to watch Y/N and Sonia… Man, imagine their wet, glistening bodies-”
“Silence, fiend!” interjected Gundham, blushing harder than ever. “You clearly cannot be left alone, and so I shall accompany you. Be grateful, for you are a pitiful human, in the presence of the almighty supreme overlord!”
“Whatever, Tanaka, let’s go!” exclaimed Kazuichi, and with that, they left the supermarket and made their way to the diner.
To their surprise, Fuyuhiko was already inside the diner. Gundham was acutely aware of a conversation occurring between the yakuza and the mechanic, but his mind had already drifted elsewhere, to where his thoughts always seem to drift: you.
He remembered when he first met you, on this cursed island. You had approached him, and offered a friendly handshake.
“Hi, um, I’m Y/N-”
“Silence, mortal!” he had interjected, “unless you wish to be devoured by my four Dark Devas of Destruction, I implore you to step away! For I am Gundham Tanaka, the Supreme Overlord of Ice! Remember it well, or my Dark Devas shall unleash pure pandemonium!”
“D-dark… dark devas…?” You had asked cautiously, a bit shocked by his sudden outburst. Before you knew it, a small creature had appeared on his palm.
“Behold, one of my Dark Devas, Jum-P!”
“Oh my gosh!” You squealed, “Is that a hamster?! How cute-”
“A hamster?! How dare you call my Dark Deva a… ‘hamster’!”
You had apologized quickly, then corrected yourself. “What a cute… Dark Deva..!”
He was surprised then, never before had someone acknowledged his Devas by their proper title. The sight of Jum-P had brought a smile to your face, and Gundham felt a blush creeping across his skin as he thought to himself how lovely the sight of your smile was. Immediately, he covered his face with his scarf.
“Ah, well..yes, I suppose that Jum-P is quite… ‘cute’... in this astral plane…” He cleared his throat.
“You said your name was Gundham, right? Gundham Tanaka,” you said, and the sound of his name escaping your lips was music to his ears.
“For a pitiful human such as yourself, you have a remarkable memory. Perhaps you’ve come into contact with a demon before…?” He mused, as though he were truly considering it.
“A d-demon?” you stuttered, “N-no, I’ve never come into contact with anything like that. I’m just an Ultimate [talent], after all. Yeah, that’s me, plain old Y/N L/N, the Ultimate [talent].”
“Y/N L/N,” he repeated back, “there is nothing plain about you. I, Gundham Tanaka, Ultimate Breeder and Supreme Overlord, can see it! Truly, your aura reveals all! You are no mere human, indeed.”
You laughed gently. “You’re a strange one, Tanaka. I really hope we get along.”
And with that, you left, off to greet the rest of the Ultimates on Jabberwock Island.
The pleasant memory played in his mind, as he recalled your smile and your laugh.
“Tch! Soda, you’re seriously planning to fucking ‘coincidentally’ run into the girls? You are one perverted bastard!” the yakuza exclaimed, dragging Gundham back into reality. “And you, Gundham, you’re no better!”
“I’m merely accompanying Kazuichi-” Gundham started, but he was quickly interrupted by Fuyuhiko.
“Save it, you bastard! We all know you’re here for Y/N-”
Suddenly, the door to the diner swung open, and you entered, along with Ibuki and Mikan.
“Who’s here for me?” You asked curiously, having caught the last bit of the conversation. The three males turned around to see you, standing at the entrance wearing nothing but a bikini, with Ibuki and Mikan behind you, who had both waited to change.
“Y-y/n…” Gundham muttered, before knowingly covering his blush with his scarf. Even Fuyuhiko couldn’t resist giving you a look-over: you looked damn good in a bathing suit.
“F-fuyohiko, Ka-kazuichi, a-and G-gundham?” stuttered Mikan, “W-what…. wh-what are y-you guys d-doing...here…?”
The three Ultimates were silent for a few moments, still stunned by your appearance. Irritated, Ibuki spoke up. “HELLLOOO? Earth to Kazuichi! What are you guys doing here?! Ibuki thought this was a girls-only bonding time!”
Finally, Fuyuhiko spoke up, “Fuck if I know! What, you girls own the diner or some shit? Can’t a man enjoy a meal?”
“Oh please,” you muttered. “You’re still in high school, just cause you’re a yakuza doesn’t make you a man…”
“W-What did you just say?!” exclaimed Fuyuhiko. “D-don’t fuck with me!”
“Oh, nothing!” You said quickly, earning a sly grin from Gundham.
“Ah, well,” Kazuichi began, “Gundham and I were just having a walk around the island, when we ran into Fuyuhiko at the diner, and now here you girls are! Getting ready for a swim, huh? What a great coincidence, yunno?!”
“What is this… ‘coincidence’ you speak of, mortal?” boomed Gundham. Kazuichi shot him a glare in return.
“Ah, well, I’m actually glad you guys are here! It’ll be nice to hang out with all of you,” you said sweetly. Unbeknownst to all of you, outside Hiyoko was running past with tears in her eyes.
While you all waited for the rest of the girls to show up, you walked over to Gundham.
“Hey, Tanaka!” You greeted him warmly before enveloping him into a hug. Your chest pressed against his, and it seemed as though an unhideable blush spread across his entire body.
“Y/N,” he replied coolly, trying to maintain his icy demeanor as you stepped back. “You..you shouldn’t do… *that*... it’s dangerous, for a creature like you, to come into contact with a high-level demon such as myself.” He wished you understood that an angel like you had no place around such a hellish creature like himself.
“How are the Devas?” you asked, curiously, brushing off his warnings. As if on cue, all four appeared, peeking out from his sleeves and scarf.
“Ha! As always, my Dark Devas are in excellent condition, and soon they shall unleash true terror upon this realm!”
“Ah, this is the magnificent talent of the Ultimate Breeder, and Supreme Overlord. It’s no surprise that you take excellent care of your Devas.”
The two of you talked unceremoniously, and before long the other girls arrived. Much to Kazuichi’s disappointment, Sonia had arrived in a wetsuit, but Gundham had hardly noticed her entrance. He was captivated by you, but he believed that an angel like you deserved better than a demon like him. Still, that didn’t stop his feelings for you from growing. As he stood there with you, he knew he would do anything to protect you in this killing game.
( should i do a part two? let me know! or, if you have other danganronpa requests, just ask! <3 )

The Mosley Review: Scream (2022)
Oh how I've missed this type of horror! Sure we've had some fun slashers in the past couple of years, but most were just homages to the OG horror films. To return to a franchise that not only revitalized, re-invented and rebirthed the slasher genre, was a very risky move. I honestly thought there wasn't anywhere else to go after the 4th film in the Scream franchise. Since we lost the Master of Horror Wes Craven, I thought that his last entry was good enough to end it the bloodshed there. Now a new generation of masterminds have taken the blood soaked reigns of the franchise and delivered not only a worthy film, but a tribute to the genius that he was. I would be lying if I didn't believe in this sequel, but right off the bat I was thrust back into the world and I loved every second of it. The kills are the most brutal of all, the humor is fantastic and the brilliance behind the commentary about the state of the horror genre was meta at its finest. In this age of horror, anytime we can get a refresher that still surprises you in an almost every unexpected way and still keeps you on the edge of your seat is a blessing. This has got to be the most interactive slasher film I have ever experienced.
This franchise has always been about the characters and the fresh blood that is brought in to be spilled. Jenna Ortega was excellent as Tara Carpenter and man was she a trooper. As seen in the trailer, she gets put through the ringer in this film and sells it. Melissa Barrera was great as her estranged sister Samantha and loved their strained relationship. At times it felt like a bad soap opera, but it opened the doors to the mystery behind the attacks and why its happening to them. Jack Quad was fun as her awkward and often correct boyfriend Richie. I loved the chemistry between them and I felt the care he had for her. Mikey Madison was good and emo as Amber. She was the more cynical person in the friend group, but good. Dylan Minnette was good as Wes Hicks, the son of Deputy Judy Hicks played once again by the wonderful Marley Shelton. My favorite characters of the film were the twins Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin played by Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding. Both were fantastic, but Mindy shined the most as she takes on the mantle left behind by their uncle Randy Meeks played by Jamie Kennedy. Sonia Ben Ammar was great as Chad's girlfriend Liv McKenzie.
You can't have a Scream film without the key surviving members. David Arquette once again shines as the heart of the franchise as Dewey Riley. He really takes the lead in this film as the lovable Han Solo type character and this was the best the character has ever been and the most badass he's ever been. Courtney Cox returns as Gale Weathers and she was stunning, graceful and just as awesome. I loved catching up with her and Dewey's relationship and it does get a bit meta. The original Final Girl returns and she is the wisest of them all. Neve Campbell was fun to see and smart as Sidney Prescott and somehow she finds herself back in the action. It was fun to see all of them together again on the hunt to take down Ghostface again. The sadistic, creepy, sexy and intense voice of Ghostface Roger L. Jackson returns. His voice is that perfect amount of menace that enthralls you with ever word spoken and every witty comeback. I love the scenes especially when Ghostface is taken pleasure in the kill and he gets more intimate this time around.
Franchise composer Marco Beltrami was missing this time around, but an equally capable composer took over and it was chilling. Composer Brian Tyler carries the torch in this installment and he nailed it in everyway. His score had my hair stand up on the back of my neck and kept my heart a flutter once I heard the familiar themes. The themes from the first film and even Dewey's theme kick in at the right moments and it gets you in the right mood for some awesome scares and emotional moments with the characters. The meta humor in this film spoke directly to all fandoms and the audience alike and it was expertly done. This film didn't forget its roots and continued to add to the family tree in a unexpected way. I loved this film and out the 4 that came before it, I think this might be my third favorite entry. This is a must see for all horror fans, a love letter to all Scream fans and a touching tribute to the Master Wes Craven that needs to be seen! Let me know what you thought of the film or my review in the comments below. Thanks for reading!

For some reason, the new EX is Erika and Vileplume, instead of Kahili who desperately needed this to stand a chance of being like Siebold. Alas, she didn't get it, so Kahili sucks while Erika and Vileplume do. Was this a good trade? Is Erika secretly super good?
General Overview No. What? Are you serious? You've seen her base special attack, right?
Look, I really like Erika and Vileplume, I consider her one of the better free units. But that's because of Piercing Gaze Stun Spore, and double On a Roll Energy Ball. She has nice supportive effects, but her damage is nothing special at all. It's barely even noteworthy. Sycamore hits noticeably harder than her by move damage. I get that she's a tech, and therefore has at least some potential as the sync nuker (apparently she’s roughly on par with SS Leaf, who’s at least top 3), but I have only used her as a damage dealer once before. It was not a great time. If you want pure Grass-type damage, and you're on an F2P budget, Gardenia is right there, being ridiculously stronger than her on a turn by turn basis. Weaker sync nuke, sure, but are you really going to knock the value of Gardenia/Rosa as an F2P core, when Rosa is a free supporter EX that easily takes first sync to let Gardenia deal 8k+ damage per Leaf Storm? When I used her for damage, Erika's sync nuke pre-EX dealt around 8k...after Rosa's sync buff. You're gonna tell me that was a good trade?
And that's just F2P. Do you have any idea how saturated Grass is as a damage type? Selene, Mallow, Brendan, SS Leaf, even Silver has good off-type, and even tanks like Dawn and Lyra can put the hurt on a fool, with Lyra’s sync setting Sun every time. This didn't even mention the best Grass-type in the game with Sygna Suit Erika, which is general pool. Grass is so stacked that a legitimate criticism of Teatime Sonia is that you're practically guaranteed to have a Grass-type with comparable damage in Brendan or SS Erika. You're gonna give up all those options for base Erika? Really and for true?
If it wasn't obvious, I don’t like that she got the EX here. It had to happen eventually, but I'm super bummed it came at great cost to Kahili, who could actually be a super good common unit like Bruno or Candice, if she just got that EX. That is all that's holding her back. And instead, it went to Erika, a story unit whose primary benefit was her support, and whose sync nuke is fine but decisively outclassed by better Grass units you’d definitely pulled by now.
I don't like it.
Team 1: Erika, BP Morty, Fantina This was my anti-Uxie team in the last Gauntlet, and it was really good. Erika supplies the needed paralysis, and can rapidly debuff special defense alongside Fantina. She's a sturdy secondary tank, too. Morty gives Confusion, healing through Potion, and Fantina is your primary damage dealer, who doesn't have much trouble dealing reasonable amounts.
Team 2: Erika, Marley, Blue&Arcanine I can't test this, but anti-Cobalion with limited tools. From my recollection, Paralysis is the status that actually does hold up well. If I'm wrong, good news, Marley has Hostile Environment 4. The focus here is that Erika can debuff special defense, and Blue can absolutely blast this thing apart with Hyper Beam. While a bit awkward, Marley can get Hostile Environment, Hype Up, Hit and Heal on trainer move, and Team Sharp Entry. This takes a lot of pressure off Blue's setup, and gets to firing Hyper Beams more reliably. And you get two dogs!
Team 3: Marley, MU Torchic, Erika Let's say. For the sake of argument. That you really want to use Erika as your damage dealer. Listen, I don't get it either. But let's pretend. This is the F2P approach. Marley helps with speed control, gradual healing, and an extra point of crit. MU Torchic gives the last of the crit, and +4 special attack to Erika. Erika can buff her special attack by 2. Two turns to cap out her offenses, Stun Spore, sync nuke. After that it's just rolling for debuffs, and hoping they die before you do.
Team 4: Kimono Jasmine, Palentine's Dawn, Erika The premium choices for Erika's sync nuke. I kinda feel like this is a team that might die instantly if presented with the sides in CS, but Erika can probably handle the center reasonably well. It's just...man, this team is slow as dirt.
Final Thoughts If it wasn't obvious, I have a lot of respect for base Erika as a supporter. Paralysis and good debuff potential is great. What she doesn't do well is offense. There's at least one option for F2P that can get her to max capacity, but it really feels like a mess.
And we took EX for this! For the offense! Her support was fine without it, but EX only exists to give her a sync nuke that does not at all feel worth it! It's not the worst pick, but like...it just kinda sucks that Siebold got all this attention all at once, and all of Kalos got grids except the one I was most excited for, and Kahili, who I do like and wanted to see get something really good, got not only the most frustrating grid constraint I've ever seen, but also missed out on EX because Erika got it instead. It's sad. I'm sad.
